"I appreciate your honorable attitude, warrior. However, you are too dangerous to be permitted to live. Prepare yourself." Katsuo pulled Shi no Kaze out of her sheath. Wind filled the room even while she was still sliding out. He pushed his chi into his legs and quickly got closer to the creature, but not too close. Shifting into a defensive stance with the sword held before him and one foot placed slightly forward, his chi moved from his legs into his arms. He focused on the creature, watching its feet carefully, as well as its wrists and the tip of its halberd as he couldn't tell where the pure blood-red eyes were looking.

Shi took no solace in the beast's assault on Shin. As much as she hated him, to see him swatted aside like that scared her more. Her master was the best samurai in the land, the most perfect wielder for her, but could even he deal with this thing? He was a man, and this was a Kami. She could only fight her hardest to make sure he lived. Hold it off, the old man said, and for once she was listening. Mist coursed from her blade like steam from the heat of battle. It swooped and whirled around Kat in a dance that ended far too soon as he approached the creature. Her voice whispered in its ear.
"I care no what you are. Kami of the whole world. Mara himself. A Buddha who annihilates the body with the self. It matters not, because you seek to harm my Kat. And for that, hell awaits you. Bones will shatter like glass, flesh will be scattered, but your pain will only start there! Prepare yourself, for you have never seen the likes of ME!" With that final shriek, the mist she had been creeping up his body dove to seek out orifices to invade, crawling in an abominably insectoid fashion. Perhaps he was a little softer on the inside.

Ancestral Warrior stood while Shin performed his ritual, and started talking as soon as the young swordsman stopped talking.
- Warri'r of the white mane, I will duel thou in this placeth at this timeth.-
With that said he took a stance, his weapon diagonal with the tip aiming down. As he positioned himself Norio rushed to his son aid, too worried to realize what they were fighting, he couldn’t process the information at the moment, he knew that thing was a Gainen, but any thoughts of about alarming the others were over ignored as everything Norio could think about was the well being of his son. As much as those two bickered all the time they had a real affection, possibly hiding it under the aforementioned constant arguing and taunting.
Shin Akiyama dashed forward, launching his first blade in a lunge, to which Ancestral Warrior replied by swiping the tip of his weapon to the side, using the hooks to secure the White Haired Swordsman blade as he deflected the first attack using only one hand to guide his weapon in this maneuver. Ancestral Warrior stoically ignored Shi’s whispers and when she tried to invade the Gainen body she would find that the creature lacked any “orifices” to get into, and even if it had the insides would be the same as the outside, as the Gainen are solidified concept, a crystallization of human imagination and thought. He was the personification of a Warrior, through the lenses of a man who thought the best Warriors were the ones of old, as his form giver was an University professor.
Ancestral Warrior avoided Shin’s second attack by pushing downwards with this spear, piercing the ground and using it as a pivot to unleash a double kick, one towards Katsuo and the other to the White Haired Swordsman. As the Gainen realized this move, with almost perfect coordination and balance, it shouted.
-Thou joineth to the duel, warri'r of the ghost blade! Hast at thee!-
As the battle started Norio was helping his son off the wall. Blood poured down his hair, covering most of his face, which was dyed the same tone as his armor thanks to the wounds. The Old Inspector used a Omnyo Charm of Healing, with golden waves surging from it, like ripples in a pond, healing the most serious wounds of his son. –C’mon kiddo, don’t die on me… C’mon…-

Katsuo ducked under the kick and moved to the armored creature's flank. He swung his sword diagonally, starting at the creature's stomach up toward where its shoulder blades should be. Something like that would be foolish to attempt with a normal blade. The creature was covered from head to toe in plated mail. Normal blades would bounce right of it. However, Shi no Kaze was a Muramasa blade. Katsuo was sure that a bloodthirsty blade made for destruction could pierce the thickest of armor.

Shi yelped when the gainen's leg punched through the air over Katsuo's head. How dare it! But what could she do to it anyway? Shi no Kaze did something she rarely did--she stopped to think. She couldn't understand most people, but this monster had a very straightforward personality. "I am Shi no Kaze, and I challenge you!" She wailed, flitting erratically to get its attention. All she needed to do was draw fire and her Kat would be safe.

Shin's body would have a much better chance to avoid the blow if he didn't just recently come back from a near death experience. All he could do was enhance his defense through the use of Mizukaka empowerment and take a step back to avoid the full force of the gainen's kick, which not only successively makes contact with him, but easily strikes with enough force to launch him flying backwards. The young swordsman bounces a bit off the ground a few times before coming to a stop, which lasts for only a split second before he performs a quick roll and springs back to his feet. As he summons his blades and adjusts both hands in order to enter another stance, he quickly notices that both of his arms are shaking from the damage he has just received. Soon enough the pain begins to spread throughout both arms as they begin to feel ten times heavier. He couldn't help but to recognize the sheer skill and power that his opponent posses, but even knowing how dangerous this enemy is, his determination to win doesn't flatter at all, especially after noticing how the armored warrior did not seem to wish to test his defense against his second strike. He charges forward with both swords ready as he unleashes a quick spiraling double slash to the creature's legs The leading sword continues to be on the physical plane, meanwhile the second sword appears to remain in the mental and spiritual level of existence. He tries to commit as best as he can to make his enemy believe he is attempting to preform the same tactic as before. However, his real aim is to distract the creature with his second blade, as a method to create an opening for his real attack.

-Silence spirit of the death, anon is the living timeth to wage battle.-
Ancestral Warrior proclaimed with a booming voice as he received Katsuo’s attack without reacting, as spark flew when the blade made contact with his skin. The Mystical Blade cut the outer layers of the Gainen physical being, leaving a luminescent wound, like a burning canyon on his body, but if that caused pain or discomfort the Gainen didn’t show it. As Shin rushed forward, the creature started twirling his weapon with one hand slashing the floor with each spin. He was using a very effective windmill defense against the multiple attacks of the Mizukara Swordsman. A barrage of clanging noises echoing in the room.
-Feeleth mine own wrath wield'r of a dead blade.-
He roared as he aimed a powerful backhand directed towards Katsuo’s cheek. While this happened Norio worked frantically to patch up his son, who received an extremely powerful hit from the Gainen. The Old Inspector mumbled, scared, trying to keep his brain working and his Ki focused on powering the paper charms healing his son. As his efforts kept piling up with little to no effect a voice ringed on his head, first just a whisper and then a commanding instruction. –Get away from your son Norio, I will take care of it.- The Old Inspector stopped, he knew that voice and as it echoed on his mind he took some steps back, seeing his son surrounded in a golden glow. -Master?-
Roshi Yasumori was on the building and his tone made one thing clear. He knew what was going on and he was planning to do something about it.

Katsuo used Shi to protect himself from the slap, but it still managed to blow him away. By spreading chi through his body, he minimized the effects of the impact.
Katsuo got up. As ready as he was for this opponent, he still managed to underestimate it. He changed his stance to gedan. He kept Shi low, aimed at the Gainen's knees. It appeared that he lowered his guard. A bating tactic. When the enemy tries to use the opening, Katsuo would perform a quick thrust at his head. Even the strongest of beasts cannot survive a sword through its brain.

Shi shrieked when Katsuo was knocked away. She flowed to slow his trajectory, soft mist forming a cushion. She wrapped him in a warm pillow for just a second before flaring into wings on his sword hand. "Master, my strength is yours!" The wings made a great flap behind, coming apart on each side of Katsuo. The force would push her body harder and faster into the monster's skull.

As his blades clash against his opponent's, his body glows intensely bright for a slit second, as if he had become a car's headlights for a moment. The light emitting from his body would have cause a regular person looking directly at him to suffer from blindness for a few seconds. Soon enough, his light show is over well before a second has pass, yet with the disappearance of the light someone else arrives. A shadow covers over the upper body of the gainen as another Shin suddenly appears above his head. As soon as this new Shin enters into the scene, he immediately begins to fall downwards due to gravity, yet during his short free fall, he manages to draw both of his blades as he prepares to strike his foe. Now, it should be noted that this Shin is currently upside down, while his legs are bent and tucked together, making him look as if he is sitting indian style. Without any delay, he perform a quick draw strike with both swings parallel to the ground, aiming for the neck in a X formation. Yet, this Shin's weapons are not part of the physical plane, instead both attacks are targeting to deal mental and spiritual damage to the warrior. Meanwhile, the original Shin begins to shift his body as he readies himself for another series of combinations of blows, yet rather than focus on dealing with the body of his opponent, he goes after his opponent's weapon with his own blades as a measure to prevent the gainen from using his tools to defend himself from the next assault, or at least slow him down a bit. However, his enemy will quickly realize that Shin's own movements are much quicker than before. This is all thanks to the extremely effective self-healing bonus that Shin can achieve by splitting himself into two separate bodies through his special ability. Yet, this technique has a huge toll on his Mizukara energy, and the young swordsman knew that he couldn't afford to split himself again without using up the remaining energy he posse.

Ancestral Warrior was exactly where he wanted to be, in the midst of a raging battle. Katsuo and Shin were quite skilled on their own, but Ancestral Warrior represents the skill of the warriors of ancient times, were fighting for your own survival was a more prominent feature of any human live. The Gainen, if he could, would’ve been smiling, as the sound of metal clashing against metal was the sound he was made off, the sound his whole body was forged on, he was the wars of old, the struggles of heroes and legends, the scars of millions of soldiers all of that and more crystallized into a single form.
-Yes! AYE! Alloweth us wage a p'rfect battle, with blood pumping and feareth dispell'd by the riddle of steel!-
The Gainen roared as he prepared his next move, not stopping the spin of his weapon as he shifted his feet from being parallel to his opponents, one behind, one up front and suddenly one above, to being perpendicular to them, point to his left. From this stance his weapon avoided contact with Shin’s disrupting attacks as he threw it to the left, using it to pull himself off their attacks way. Some of the Real Shin attacks managed to scratch the surface of the Gainen cuirass and he avoided Spirit Shin altogether, but Katsuo’s? That was a whole other story.
The Shi empowered thrust didn’t hit its intended mark, as Ancestral Warrior moved out of the way pulled by his weapon, that flew into a wall, pierced it and then the string attachment to his wrists reeled him towards it. Yet the sudden movement, quite a powerful pull, whiplashed the body of the Warring Beast making his legs swings upwards, more or less in the location his head would’ve been. The attack pierced the leg clean, more than half of the blade coming out from the other side. This gave Katsuo two options, let go of the sword and see it fly alongside the Gainen towards the wall or keep his grip tight and go along for the ride.
While the battle kept firing up in the training room Norio was finally relieved as he heard the breathing of his son going back to normal, thanks to the healing magic of Roshi Yasumori. –Master! Where are you!? There is a creature down here! The newcomers are fighting it but I don’t know how this whole thing will fare!- The Old Inspector used the same mental connection the JHWAB Leader opened to convey this message. Roshi didn’t delay in answering his student. –Bushitora-san, support them, they are fighting a Gainen! I’m going towards your location alongside Dansei Kiken and other two members of the Omega Squad.- Norio, for the first time since the sudden entry of Ancestral Warrior was feeling hope.
With a resolute light on his eyes he turned away from his recovering son and launched 4 paper charms, two for each of them. Katsuo and Shi would feel reinvigorated and their physical stats would be lightly buffed (like an extra 25% more or less) –Keep pressuring him, don’t let him breath!- He shouted. Norio grabbed a couple more of charms, throwing them at the Gainen, while he added. –Reinforcements are in the way, just keep him busy!- While he said that his charms turned into golden spears mid-flight, ready to pierce the Gainen on the arm.

Katsuo was surprised by the wings that appeared on his arm. He wasn't aware that Shi could do something like that. There was much he had yet to learn about his blade. He couldn't call himself a proper swordsman until he knew Shi like the back of his hand.
However, even with Shi's help, his attack wasn't fast enough to slay the creature. Instead, the blade went into its leg. It happened too fast for Katsuo to react at first and he was already in the air, flying towards the wall, when Shi slipped out of his grasp. Furthermore, if he impacted the wall the way he was flying now, his arm would definitely break, along with a rib or two.
He spun in the air and focused all his chi into his legs. The impact was painful, but all his bones remained intact. Quickly he pushed himself off the wall, did a backflip and landed on his feet. Without hesitation, he rushed towards the Gainen. His boosted legs along with the buff provided to him by Norio helped him reach it in no time and he slid like a baseball player reaching home plate. He grabbed Shi's handle and, using his momentum, he pulled it through the creature's leg so that the leg was halfway cut through. Jumping back to his feet, he focused his chi back into his arms and slashed one of the creature's arms.

Shi had some senses in her body, blade and hilt alike. Plunged through the gainen's leg, she got the sensation of surroundings. She knew the taste of sweat and blood well, given her history in sacrifice. Wood she also felt here, knowing its feeling on her blade when she swung through a neck. The rest of it just confused her. What was this thing? A tree person? Yes, it must be the case. "I will dig you up and plant your roots in herbicide!" She screamed, lashing out with whips of mist to wrap around the warrior and hold his body in place. Perhaps she couldn't overpower him, but at least she could try to slow him down.

The two shins stand next to each other as the original one breaths deeply. He knew his opponent would be strong, but this was just insane. He could barley keep up with his opponent, even though he was fighting multiple enemies at the same time. Yet, rather than feel a sense of panic, he starts to become excited. As he continues to breath, he begins to smile as if he was a little kid getting the chance to open a present on Christmas Eve. However, it wasn't long before his face eventually turn back into a serious demeanor as he witness his allies continue their assault. Not wanting to be left behind in the battle, both Shins charge forward in a series of zig zags with each other changing the lead position numerous times. Soon they reach their foe and begin to unleash a series of perfectly synchronize d strikes with relentless pursuit as they press their goal to decrease the gainen's ability to use his own weapon. If one Shin's assaults the right with his blades, the other would focus their attack from the left. Should one attack high, the other low, and so on.

Once again the wound inflicted by Shi behaved strangely, not bleeding, only looking like a canyon full of light. It didn’t seem to bother Ancestral Warrior, who released his weapon from the wall turning around and looking down at Katsuo with a blood curdling glare. As the Yakuza Swordsman charged in the creature replied using the sole of his feet to block the attack. A metallic scrapping noise echoed in the room as Shin collided against the now reinforced surface of the Gainen skin, followed by a rain of sparks. He was using the leg Katsuo wounded without much difficulty.
-While thy sw'rd reeks of the dead, thy spirit is v'ry much alive wield'r of ghostly steel, I commend thee f'r yond!-
From that very uncomfortable position standing in just one leg, Ancestral Warrior inclined forward, supporting his weight on the floor and on Shi, while he started thrusting his weapon forward in a flurry of stabs. He was trying to keep Shin and his Doppelganger outside their Ma’ai. Yet the difficult position added to the amount of attacks easily broke through his defense and he quickly shifted from long range to close range defense, spinning his weapon with frantic skill as he lowered his leg from Shi. He managed to block many of the attacks from Shin and his Doppelganger, but some of them pierced through.
Their effect was similar to Katsuo’s attacks, just scratches filled with light on the Gainen surface. Ancestral Warrior faced the main Shin, ignoring the second one with a dangerous light on his eyes
-Your art might beest most wondrous iv'ry hair'd one but thy sw'rd cannot reacheth me, still I shall visage thee two with all mine own might.-
For the first time in the fight the creature attacked them with his weapon, still stained with the blood of the agents it pierced minutes ago. Ancestral Warrior jumped over his opponents, stopping midway towards the tall ceiling and piercing the wall with his clawed fingers for grip. From that position he swung his weapon letting the string extend, basically turning his halberd into an oversized flail. The trajectory of the weapon dangerously sharp tip would move from Katsuo’s neck towards both Shin’s chest. But Norio, now trying to get his head on the game launched a couple of barriers, golden disks of Omnyo Energy to stop it.
They failed miserably as the weapon slashed through them almost as if they were rice paper. As the halberd descended a detonation thundered in the room, as the tip broke the sound barrier while moving.

The helbard suddenly becoming an incredibly fast, sharp flail almost cost Katsuo his life. It passed inches away from the his neck and the sudden movement he had to make to avoid it made him fall on the floor. It seemed the creature got serious. Unfortunately, when it's serious, the creature could clearly easily overpower Katsuo. But that didn't mean he could run away. He already ganged up on the creature, so running with his tail between his legs would only damage his honor further.
"Shi. Are your winds strong enough to carry me to the creature if I jump up?" He asked his blade as he stood up. If the creature swung its weapon like that again, he would just have to make sure he doesn't fall again when he dodges. Then leap up and stab through its eye. But it was too high up for him to reach it as he was right now.

Shi whispered at Katsuo's feet in response. "I can do you even better, sweetie." Wisps of mist swirled down from her blade, twisting to squeeze beneath his shoes. With a burst, he was shoved into the air on a pillar of white smog, like a crooked geyser. The smoke flared out in a burst at the top and bottom, a ring blasting out with a crack from the sheer force of her acceleration. Hopefully Kat could properly attack with this surprise.

The two Shins try to follow the movements of their opponent's to the best of their abilities, searching for any openings to exploit. Yet, with their foe's defense being too strong for them to overcome via force or skills, they could only hope to try to slow down the gainen. During their relentless barrage of swords techniques and body movements, they quickly realize any physical strikes would be essentially pointless, yet adjusting to spiritual assaults might prove to be difficult in the current situation. However, before they could decide between dealing physical or spiritual attacks upon their enemy, the gainen quickly surprises them with its next move. Both Shins prepare to adjust their bodies before they would be slice apart, when suddenly an air bust slams into them. They are violently launch far away, thankfully out of reach of their opponent's immediate attack. Before their bodies slam against the floor, the young swordsmen manage to regain their balance and land somewhat awkwardly on their feet. Without much delay, they yell simultaneously, "WATCH WHERE YOU RELEASE THOSE AIR BURSTS YOU DAMN WIND SPIRT SWORD LADY!!!" After shouting, they bull rush low to the guard and once again shifting quickly between their positions. The movements are so swift and perfectly time with each other, that their bodies no longer seem to be as solid as before; in fact, the start to blur slightly and progressively become blurrier and blurrier until there appears to be close to half a dozen fading Shins running across the ground.

-Tell them to keep him occupied. – Roshi’s voice echoed inside Norio’s head. -They don’t know what they are facing, even the weaker Gainen are extremely difficult foes, Oni Level at the very least. - The Leader of the JHWAB spoke out of experience, as in the 70’s the JHWAB supported the GStai anti-gainen activities and he was part of several missions involving these dangerous extra-dimensional beings. The Old Inspector didn’t bother to reply as he very well knew how perilous the situation he was currently immersed on was. Without a shred of hesitation Norio threw several paper charms, which transfigured mid flight into golden spears of light, aimed directly at the Gainen with the objective of pinning him down.
-Don’t try to attack him! - Norio shouted at Shin and Katsuo. –Just try to keep him contained to this location, so the heavy guns can stop him faster. - His orders were firm and precise, yet his attack wasn’t any of that, since Ancestral Warrior, who also moved to avoid the incoming offensive maneuvers from Shin and Katsuo. The Armed Gainen vaulted from his elevated position, creating some distance between him and the wall, somersaulting over the Yakuza Swordsman updraft lunge and the sudden horde of Shins. It was easy to do being on higher ground, a classic tenet of classical strategy. As he performed the evasive maneuver he also performed a counterattack, once again swinging his weapon in a sound barrier breaking swing.
But this time around Ancestral Warrior did it twice, creating the illusion of being surrounded by a ring, like Saturn’s. The weapon edge was aimed towards the Shins.
-Feel mine own wrath, the ang'r, rage and suff'ring of the warri'rs of burning blood across the gl'rious hist'ry!-

Shi was more powerful then Katsuo expected. Unfortunately, she launched him up too early. He managed to react and slash at the creature, but it didn't yet start its attack so it could jump away without any difficulty.
Katsuo landed back on the ground with a grunt. So far all his attacks were fruitless and he wasn't strong enough to corner a monster like the Ancestral Warrior long enough for anyone else to attack it. But he did have an idea. "Shi, next time we strike the creature, can you focus a gust of wind as strong as the last one into the wound? Perhaps that will be enough to cause some damage. Also, if the creature dodges any projectile attacks out allies fire, can you redirect them back at it?" As for attacking the creature right now, it was too dangerous for him with the twirling ax head. He would have to let Shin deal with it for now.
