As the door opened, Maya had to blink a bit to allow her sight to adjust to the sudden white that assaulted her perception, which was lessened a bit by the platform, allowing some semblance of variety in the room. She simply waved her hand briefly, taking the steps needed to enter. The samurai from before seemed to be there to greet her as well, along with company she had not too long ago as well.

Katsuo and Shi would reach the same location Maya arrived to. The large arena-like room was covered with hexagonal tiles. Shin Bushitora, Military Branch Agent, waiting for everybody with a cocky smile on his face in the center of it. He did a very informal bow to Maya, more a shake of his head than a proper bow, he had to use all his martial discipline not to stare at Maya’s attributes. –So you are Verity-san I presume… My name is Shin Bushitora, I’m a member of the JHWAB Military Branch, and my rank is Agent. – Shin walked towards a control panel on the nearest wall. –Do you want me to explain the final test now or should we wait for the rest?- He asked with a smile, trying to hide his anticipation, as he planned the training exercise himself and couldn’t wait to see it in action.
Norio fell flat on his ass, to the amusement of the people watching, many of them trying to contain their laughs. The only one who didn’t laugh was the just arrived Yukio Shiraginu, the Cultural Branch Leader, who looked at the Veteran Inspector with harmless curiosity. Norio cursed between teeth. –Goddammit, you try to save a single soul and they don’t fucking want to.- He stopped the moment he noticed Yukio standing beside him with a gentle smile and a helping hand extended. Norio grabbed Yukio’s hand and was helped up by the host-looking young man. –Anything I can help with Bushitora-dono? I saw your effort to reel that spiritual thread, quite impressive…- His smile widened, being a bit arrogant. -…for a human. – Norio ignored the comment, swallowing his pride as he did many times when learning a new skill and nodded. –I could use the help of a thread master as yourself… I’ll make the string manifest again and-
-I will reel it in, I know the drill.- Yukio smiled with confidence with Norio nodding and getting ready to re manifest the thread, using the same spiritual remnants as before. -Ready?- Once again he charged a paper charm and released his Ki, making the thread visible to those of spiritual attunement, something natural for Yukio, who not only started reeling in the thread, but reinforced it with his own spiritual threads, harder than steel, the silk of a Jorogumo. With a charming smile Yukio started drawing the spiritual thread, and by proxy, the spirit at the end of it, closer. –Mind if I reel you in?- He asked charmingly.

Shin's soul stands up and prepares to walk away in the opposite direction of where the string tried to pull him towards. He didn't know understand his current situation, but being pulled by some random string is not exactly something he imagine happens a lot to him. "Well that was rather unpleasant. Hopefully I don't have to experience anything like that ever again. He is just a single step away from leaving the room, yet something stops him from placing his foot forward. "What the..." He tries again and again, and fails over and over again. Between each attempt, he pushes with more force, which only makes his future failures that much more frustrating for him. "WHY. WON'T. YOU. MOVE. FORWARD. STUPID. SPIRIT. BODYYYYY!!!!!!." He yells outload as he suddenly is pulled backwards and moves towards the room with his body inside. JUst as he enters the room, a sudden spiritual pulse is expel from his body, which destroys the new string attach to him, while also sending Shin's soul away. If the people in the room could hear spirits, they would have heard, "WHY!!!!!!!"
______________________________
As Shin's mind is close to hitting the ground, he couldn't stop but to have his entire life flash before his eyes. He remembers every day he spend with his family, friends, and with the clan. Sure, he and his familiy is at the bottom of the clan, yet he still manage to obtain happiness when he was home. He closes his eyes as he quickly regrets his decision to explore the outside world. Just as he has given up all hope..."Come now. You should not such a heavy regret at your age." said the voice of a old man. A second later and Shin opens his eyes. He finds himself laying sideways on the temple floor and in front of him is an old man wearing ancient robes. The old man face seems to be kind and though his skin is far from youtful, his eyes are full of energy. The elderly man offers him a hand to help him back to his feet.

Katsuo didn't like the look of this room. It looked like an arena. Would they have to fight again? For someone claiming that they do not wish them harm, a lot of fighting was taking place here. Furthermore, the man seemed like he didn't even notice the sword and swordsman entering the room, probably having something to do with the attributes of the woman from before. How very rude. Their first meeting was obviously a good indicator of this man's personality. "I do not know whom the others might be, so I feel that decision is best left to you, Bushitora-san."

"The cow is back..." Shi hissed and thrashed around Katsuo's feet, kicking up his kimono a little. At least that made her happy. She kept flitting about to distract herself from the stressful environment.

Shin looked around. –We still need to wait for the last member of this interview.- He pressed his ear, or better put a communicator inside of it, and listened to the chatter. –This might take a while, so you can get comfortable. - Shin took a control from his clothes and pressed a button and with a clacking sound, several holes opened on the floor and comfortable one piece chairs raised from below, plugging the holes. The Red Armored Agent looked around the room and went to the wall to check it out. –Relax for a bit while I do some last minute checks, we will be get right into the exercise when the last one arrives.-
Meanwhile in the hangar of the HQ a group of Military Agents teleported in with an energy cage, handled by 4 Omnyo Mages on each corner, pouring their power into Paper Charms holding the golden cage in one piece, obscuring whatever was inside. The Agents were haggard and bloodied, evidently they were part in one heck of a fight, to the point that one of them, a Ninja looking individual, black clothed and with his face covered by an intricate mask, was holding a bloody stump instead of his right hand, others showed less serious, but equally grave wounds.
The group was received by Iosif Sveda, who was already calling a medical team to the Hangar. –Are you alright? I’m already informing the first aid squad.- He looked behind him. -They are on their way.- The shinobi with the missing hand nodded wearily. –Yes, we will survive, but more importantly than the first aid, get the Investigation Squad prepped, we finally capture one for them to study.- Iosif eyes widened. –You did what Kagemen!? You capture one of those without the Omega Squad? How did you ever manage to do that?-
-Luck, blood and sweat Sveda-san…- He lifted his stump. –Mostly blood.- He turns to see the cage. –We managed to catch him after just being summoned, he was confused and was one of the talky ones, so he didn’t have an instinct to back him up… we got lucky, but he put a hell of a fight.- Iosif nodded at everything while he dialed the number for the Intelligence Branch Research Offices. –I’ll get them here in no time, all of you did a great job…- Iosif informed the Intelligence Branch and as he heard them speaking he look at the group and asked. –Did the thing told you his name? The Sentient ones usually do…- Kagemen the Shinobi replied with a grave voice. –He said his name was Ancestral Warrior…-

"Shi, behave yourself." Katsuo sat in one of the chairs and put his sword in his lap. "If you believe that is for the best, we will wait."
He leaned back and relaxed. "How do you feel about this place so far, Shi?" He whispered.

Shi whispered back in her honeyed voice. "I despise it, Kat." While it sounded no different than usual, she managed to put enough distress into it that he should pick up on it. "Why do we have to wait?" She grumbled to the room at large.

Shin's soul continues to travel throughout the base until he lands inside a room with some comfortable chairs. Laying face down on the floor, Shin begins to question his reason for existence if all he does is being pulled and pushed all day long. He gets on his feet and wipes his pants as if he somehow got dirt on them, which he didn't. He looks around and notices a man with a sword on his lap, while at the same time a woman is sitting on his lap. Confuse at the situation, Shin rubs his eyes with both hands. "I must be seeing things now." said Shin. Yet something starts to bother him and he turns his head towards the hanger. He stares there for a moment, before realizing he has gotten into a fighting stance with both his swords appearing in his hands. Shaking his head, he quickly places his blade away.
______________________________________
"Thanks old man" As Shin's mind gets on his feet, he exams the elderly man closely. After a while he asks, "Do I know you from somewhere?" The old man laughs and says, "I would hope so. But we don't have the time to discuss about me." "Then what should we talk about then?" asked Shin. "Why, you of course." replies the old man. Shin is confuse and asks. "Me? Why?" "Simple, you are dying and if you don't hurry, you will lose yourself." "How can I be dying?" he asked. "The reason is due to you activating the Mizukara curse by uttering your name to a member outside the clan. Which is surprising, since no one has activated the curse yet besides you. I suppose there is a first time for everything." "This isn't something I am proud of accomplishing first." said Shin in a tone completely non enthusiastic.
He knew about the curse, well he remembers it now, though why couldn't he remember about it before. Yet, soon enough he begins to remember other details, such as the fact that during the ritual of exploration, mental barriers are in place to prevent one from remembering their clan name and information on the clan. Hang on, why was I able to remember so much then? The old man's face examines Shin for a moment before saying, "Don't worry about the why now, you must first save yourself." Did he just read my mind? thought Shin. "Yes, I just read your mind. Now! Focus on my words, for they will be your salvation. Do you see the red gate behind me?" Shin looks and sees a grand red wooden gate leading into the main temple. "Yeah." The old man face turns deadly serious as he says, "Go inside the grand temple. There you will face a challenge. Should you be victorious, then will your mind be set free." "Alright, sounds good to me...wait, what do you mean by my mind?" "Yes, your mind. As for your body, i wouldn't worry too much. Your doctors have done an excellent job of protecting your body. Though, for your spirit, that is going to require some work to bring your soul back to your body."
"O...kay." said Shin with uncertainty. "And how do I reattach my soul to my body then." The old man turns around and says, "Your spirit needs to willingly fight against the curse, and even then, if he is not strong enough to resist the push, then it will lose." Shin didn't want to ask the next question, but he forces him to ask, "And if my soul loses that fight?" The old man turns back around to tell him, "Your spirit will be annihilated." Shin takes a few deep breathes before saying, "Well, in that case, I should be back to normal in no time." he says with confident smile. "Thanks old man." He begins to walk towards the grand temple, but stops as he forgot to ask for the elderly man's name. He at least wanted to know that much about him. Yet, when he turns his head back, the old man is nowhere to be seen. Shin's face takes on a look of pure determination and he continues towards the entrance. Once he reaches the wooden doors, he kicks them open and yells out, "I'm Ready For Anything!"

An indeterminate amount of time had passed since Maya sat down at the chair that had been offered to her and company. She felt like there was no room for idle talk, so she merely remained silent unless someone decided to have a chit-chat.

BING-BING-BING-BING-BING-BING-BING-BING-BING-BING-BING-BING
A green light bathed the Training Room and everybody on it. The sound of screeching metal emanated from the wall as several hatches opened revealing small bundles of tubes, similar in design to a mini-gun but with a different purpose. –Everybody on guard we have an Spiritual Breach!- Shin Bushitora knew this alarm, as well the color code. Red was an Organic threat, Blue was a Technological Threat and green… green was a spiritual breach. –Don’t worry about the machines in the walls, they will reveal whatever entered the room.- The Armored Agent shouted as gold particles were launched from the tubes in the wall filling up the room, floating like specs of dust.
Shin’s Spirit Self was made visible by the particles, something the made the Young Bushitora quite worried. –You can’t be here… you’re in the medbay! - Without letting the fear creep into his heart Shin used his commlink. –We have a Spiritual Leakage in the Training Room! Your patient soul is here!- He listened for a second. –YES ITS HIM! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD BRING HIS BODY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!- The people in the other line, clearly believed him as the sound of them running towards their location was clearly transported by the commlink. The Omnyo Healers and the Medics ran through the hallways with the stretcher, while Norio joined up to them. They would arrive in no time.
Everything seemed to be fine… how did it go so wrong? This was a routine delivery of a dangerous creature… well not that common as the captured creature was one of the dangerous Gainen. But everything seemed to be fine… That was on Kagemen’s mind as he lied against the wall, looking at his left arm, now matching the bloody stump on his right arm, evidence of the struggle his team had against the creature. If he had known… if he had understood the danger the creature represented maybe this could’ve been avoided. Through his shattered mask his only healthy eye, the other has a piece of said mask imbedded on it, he could see the nightmarish scene unfolding in front of him.
Ancestral Warrior was standing tall in the middle of the room, surrounded by the thorn apart corpses of Kagemen’s squad. The only one left standing was Iosif, but standing is just a figure of speech as he was being lifted and choked by the strange Gainen with one hand. The Masked Shinobi could barely listen to them speaking. –W… d. y.. w…?- The Shindo of Bureaucracy could barely talk as Ancestral Warrior hand was slowly crushing the life out of him. The Gainen just replied –I want to wage war against my enemies.- Before releasing Iosif who fell in the ground like a sack of old bureaucratic potatoes and turning his head, as if he heard a sound in the distance.
Without looking back the creature pierced the door open with his halberd, a strange almost life-like weapon that seemed to be somewhat attached to its hand. The Masked Shinobi fell into a deep slumber, as blood formed a pool under him.

"I am curious about that as well." Katsuo told Shi. "I do not like waiting here. It is making me nervous." Just as he finished saying that, the room was filled with a loud noise and bathed in green light.
The wannabe samurai jumped up the second the alarms started. He held Shi no Kaze in his left hand and his right was on her hilt, ready to pull her out at lightning speed. So much about being safe here. Now he wanted to get this whole thing over with as soon as possible. He observed his surroundings and noticed the spectral figure that was not there before. It was the man that was part of the group at the start. The man they were waiting for. When did he become a ghost?

Shi kept flitting about with nervous enemy, blowing warm breezes all over the room, until the sudden appearance of the green light. Sheathed, Shi couldn't summon her mists to defend Kat. She had to settle for rushing around the new figure, the other spirit in the room. "I'll kill you if this gets Kat hurt! I'll shred you into little invisible strips and put them in a sandwich for your mother!"

*Mind Shin*
The heavy doors scratch against the ancient wood floor as a puff of dust slams into Shin. After a bunch of coughs, the young swordsman talks to himself with a hoarse voice, “Okay, wasn’t expecting that to happen.” He walks forward as he pats himself in an attempt to remove most of the dust. His once white clothes are practically grey at this point. The room is poorly lit, with the only sources of light coming from the now expose door and a faint blue glow at the end of the current room he is inside. Everything in between is almost pitch black. Also, he couldn’t have imagine the temple being this long from the outside. From his current point of view this space could be a kilometer long. He continues to walk down and his footsteps creates echoes that travels along the walls. By the time he reaches the middle of the hallway, the doors by the entrance closes, preventing light from entering the room from the original entrance. Even the light ahead seems to have been extinguish. Leaving him in utter darkness for the moment. During this time an unrecognizable voice seems to call to him from behind, as he turns around to address the voice, then a different voice calls out to him from another side. Again he turns his head towards the direction of the voice. This occurs over and over again, and after each cycle, Shin would react quicker and quicker, as well as the voices beginning to sound closer and closer. At some point he summons his blade and demand for names from the strange callers. He challenges them to reveal their identities and face him directly. The voices continue to call, but the young man could tell the cries are distancing themselves from him now. He couldn’t understand what they have been repeating to him in low tones, but then the last voice whispers right into his ear, “Kill or be Killed…” Suddenly a sharp pain penetrates through his back and aims for his heart.
He reacts by swinging his sword behind him, feeling the sensation of his blade cutting substance, but he couldn’t see anyone, or anything. Quickly he realizes that he is suffering from a cold sweat and tries to calm himself down with a few deep breaths. Placing one sword in a sheath, he uses his free hand to check his back, and is surprised to discover no wound. He is no stranger to battles, especially sword contests. He can never confuse a sword piercing his body, or in this case… his mind. The sounds of flicking flames ring all around him, and the room quickly burst with a bright glow. The abrupt light temporarily blinds him for a second, but his eyes adjust soon enough. His facial expression change from one of puzzlement to one of deadly focus at he stares at the figure of a man in front of him. Orbs of blue flames dance along the walls as the man hidden under a clock from head to toes in some elaborate black robes examines a cut on his sleeve. Looking down he spots two sheath swords attach to the man’s obi. “Well done.” said Shin’s foe. Pacing around in a circle, the unknown places his bony on top the handle of his sword. The gesture is not what surprises Shin, rather it is that his opponent posse no flesh on his hands or wrists. “It would be better to end it now. That way you won’t have to deal with the pain the future has in store for you.” Though rather than address Shin, he seems to be talking to someone else. Still, Shin did not allow his words to affect his focus. He wraps both hands on the handle of his expose sword and turns the blade sideways. Sighing with disappointment, his opponent draws both of his weapons and charges forward with various swings with flawless aim for vital spots.
Using a combination of swift body movements he evades the first barrage with only a few close calls, one being an extremely shallow cut on his neck. As he gets closer, he starts to crouch down and shifts his sword’s position in such a way that it choreographs his next move to the experience swordsman. Without hesitation, Shin’s foe switches into a counter stance and already pictures the next series of exchanges before they even occurs. As he thrusts one of his swords forward in anticipation of removing his combatant’s attack, while simultaneously appearing to deliver a death blow. However, the blade’s lunge strikes nothing but air as the young warrior disappears in front of him. Shin’s body is no longer in a position just ahead of his foe, but now directly behind his enemy in an incredible low stance. He briskly performs a slash with the apparent intention of removing the man’s legs, yet his opponent already assume the young lad’s trick earlier and with a flick of the wrist, the black robe individual uses his second sword to intercept Shin’s first attack. As for the second slash that the young swordsman performs with his other weapon, the fighter avoids the removal of his ligaments by lifting his knees to his chest. As Shin’s sword swipes underneath him, using the blade that he use recently thrust, he prepares to execute via a decapitation. His sword swings true with full purpose to finally end this duel here and now, but unknown to the would be victor is the existence of another Shin currently falling slowly upside down behind his neck. The clone motions his arms in a crossing manner, and at the end of his arms are handles, at the end of the handles are sharpen Mizukara energy, and at the end of his swing is a floating head without a body attached.
The hands of the headless body release its blades, with one of them piercing the floor near the neck of the Shin on the ground. Meanwhile the clone flips and lands on his feet effortlessly as the other stands fully upright. Before long, the sound of dead weight hitting the ground echoes throughout the long hallway. One of the Shins transforms into a being of pure white light and his essence is quickly absorbed by the last man standing. After examining the fallen corpse for a few seconds, Shin turns around and continues on the path until he reaches the end. There he finds a small shrine with faded out words written above the relic. Looking at the shrine his body begins to vibrate and the intensity increases over time. Memories begin to swarm around him, however many of the visions lack detail, and thus the experience can be compared to being inside a dense fog. As the memories disperse, he finds himself back at the city he started in. Yet, rather than the structure being that of a massive puzzle, the city appears to be perfectly normal, including the presence of other people, traffic, and everything one will witness when inside a highly dense populated area. The only thing that is abnormal would be a single ghosty door a few feet ahead of him. Without wasting anytime, he steps forward and opens the door. As he enters through the exit, standing in the shadows of the nearby buildings is a defeated warrior. As he places his head back on his shoulders, the man asks, “Are you sure about this old man?”
________________________________________________________________
*Spirit Shin*
Confuse at the sudden events occurring, Shin remains still as he tries to make sense of everything happening around him. Before long, the Omnyo Healers, Medics, and Norio enter the room with a stretcher carrying his soulless body. As he turns his face, he is able to notice the arrival of his physical body, yet before he could react properly, a sudden pulse erupts from Shin’s body and only affects his spiritual self. For him, it feels as if a mighty gust of wind has just been release and attempts to remove him from the room. Soon he is once again thrown violently backwards, however, this time he makes the attempt to hold his ground via his own free will. Sadly his efforts only seem to slow down the evacuation process of the strange pushing force discharging from his body. Before long he is send partially through the wall with his lower spiritual body on the other side. As for his upper spiritual body, he manages to keep it inside the room for a bit longer by pushing with his arms against the wall. However, the relentless blast continues to increase until it causes the section of the wall to collapse into tiny pieces while hurling Shin dozens of meters away from his body.
-Oh hell you don’t!- Norio roared as once again he created a spiritual link between the body and the spirit through Omnyo magic. -Third time, or any multiple of threes, is the charm.- He whispered to himself, encouraging his old body to move and his mind to stay sharp. -HEY BRAT!- Norio shouted at Shin’s Spirit while waving one hand. -You need to fight the current, fight it with all you have.- The Old Inspector, alongside the medics who weren’t busy keeping the healing spells on Shin’s body, started pulling the Spiritual String trying to help Shin’s Spirit Self back to the body. -We will help, but if you don’t fight it you won’t be able to get inside your body again! PUSH AGAINST THE CURRENT!!!!- Norio’s son, who was watching everything for the sidelines, decided to help out, charging towards the space in-between Shin’s Soul and Shin’s Body as he unsheathed his blade which bursted into flames.
-What are you doing?- Norio snapped at his son, who was running towards the very delicate string that was connecting the split Mizukara teen. -Stop keeping your brain inside your sword sheath!- The Old Inspector shouted at his son while he pulled with all his strength. -You can’t solve every problem with a sword.- Shin ignored his father pleas and took a low stance, similar to an Iai technique. -YES I CAN!- He shouted as he unleashed his blade… cutting the air between the body and the soul with a technique called, as he shouted it’s name
OBAKEGIRI! (Ghost Cutter)
Suddenly the pressure was slightly relieved, as the flaming katana handled with such dexterity by the young Bushitora agent was cutting spiritual energy, with a technique created to battle ghostly apparitions and enemies without a proper physical body. -When the hell did you learn to do that?- Norio asked as he kept pulling. -IS NOT LIKE YOU CARE ABOUT MY “STUPID” SWORD SKILLS OLD MAN!- The Red Armor Swordsman snapped at this father as he kept a frenzied attack, fighting an invisible foe that kept regenerating after each blow.
It was now or never for Shin.
As he grins his teeth together, Shin musters up up all his strength and willpower. He grasps the strings connecting to him, and rather then cut them like before, he instead uses the threads as leverage to balance himself. After placing both feet on the ground, he starts to progress closer to his body by tugging forward along Norio’s strings. By the time he steps into the room, blood, or the spiritual equivalence, begins to pour out of his nose. Soon enough his entire being starts to glow faintly white as he gets closer to his body. The pain is immense, yet this doesn’t discourage him. At some point, his appearance no longer could contain his regular form and he turns into a blur of energy that is barely resembles a human figure.. No longer being able to hold out for much longer, he yells with all his might as he attempts the final push. He leaps towards his body and what quickly follows is a massive explosion of white energy. Yet the light’s reach did not stop within the room alone, it continues to spread and grow in size until it reaches all corners of the base and beyond.
After the light dies, Shin’s eyes slowly open up. He stares at the ceiling of the room for a little bit, before he gently turns his head from the stretcher to stare at the others. At first he didn’t know what to say to anybody as he himself is still a bit shaken up from the whole ordeal of having his body, mind, and spirit ripped apart from each other. Gradually he pushes his body upright, but even taking his time causes him to experience a slight vertigo attack. Before long he falls off the stretcher and lands on the floor, which creates a not so silent noise and without delay, Shin responses with a single word, “Ouch.”

As Shin opened his eyes a quake shook the whole room, dust falling from the ceiling and a rumbling noise started to get near and near. Bushitora Sr. looked around in complete shock as he pulled a paper charm from his coat, placing it on the ground, it was a healing and protection charm that would protect him and keep helping Shin to heal. –What the hell is going on? - He asked to nobody in particular as his bespectacled eyes looked around frantically, trying to pinpoint the direction from where the rumbling was coming. –I don’t have a clue old man. - Bushitora Jr. replied as he unsheathed his sword, which lit aflame the moment it left its sheath. Without a second of hesitation he barked orders.
–Medics get the fuck out of here, take Big Tits with you, she seems useless in a battle.- The Red Armored Warrior glared at them as they stood paralyzed with fear. Shin Bushitora waved his flamed sword pointing at Maya, then at the door. –Take her and go to a safer place, whatever those sounds are…. They‘re coming toward this-
CRASH!!!!
The Military Agent turned around as the reinforced wall of the training grounds exploded in a cloud of dust and debris. A blur of motion passed through the smoke and particles floating over them, ending with a loud piercing sound in the opposite wall. The Ninja Kagemen, the same who brought Ancestral Warrior to the HQ was pierced against the wall by the Gainen Halberd. Shin Bushitora was speechless, his mouth hanging open as his father’s, who also looked at the scene with utter disbelief. As the smoke slowly dissipated the figure of Ancestral Warrior was outlined through the dust by the light coming from the flames he set on his path here, breaking through layers and layers of reinforced wall to arrive.
Without much ceremony he jumped down from his elevated position, landing heavily on the center of the Training Room, cracking the concrete floor. His Halberd pulled out from the body, at plain view it seemed that he was telekinetic or something, but upon closer inspection anybody could notice that the weapon was an extension of himself, tied to his wrist with what seemed to be some kind of organic rope or chain. The weapon returned to his hand after doing a couple of unnatural curves as he pulled of it, clearly he had perfect control over his weapon of choice, as a Warrior of Legend. From his face a simple phrase, a challenge, surged with a strange voice. –Fie! Art ye the foes I must vanquish?-

The spirit was taken care of quickly without Katsuo having to move a finger, but that was not end of this event. The problem of the ghost was replaced by the appearance of a strange man, no, a strange creature for it had an unnatural aura about it that meant it surely could not be human. It was clad in what appeared to be very stylized western armor to the point of near impracticality yet it posed no problem for the creature. Its weapon, a helbard, seemed just as overdesigned as the armor but it apparently had no problem cutting through the thick walls of this room.
"Is this what you call safety? A stream of supernatural assailants? I have made a mistake in coming here."

Shi continued circling the ghost until Shin's flaming blade passed through her. She made a pained yelp audible to everybody but the one who assaulted her and turned her attention away from the ghost to spew abuse at the swordsman, a stream of threats that Dante would want to add for people he especially didn't like in the Inferno. She was preoccupied enough that the ghost's disappearance went unnoticed, and her attention was only drawn away when the wall was shattered.
A veritable chill spread through the room as Shi no Kaze, a spirit older than the organization whose building she was in, felt danger like she never had before. This was something as unnatural as her. If it wanted to hurt Kat, could she even stop it? She put up as good bluster as she could muster, swirling around its feet as hard as she could, unfortunately a rather flimsy breeze. "Fuck off or I'll break your head off and give it to a museum!" She screeched, referring to the creature's coloration, like corroded copper.

After gathering his senses, he slowly brings himself back on his feet. Shin looks at the intruder for a moment, yet it is not long before his confusion is swiftly replace with an intense stare. Normally he would act rather silly, or perhaps in this case, he would still display symptoms of his recent ordeal; however, once he views the creature's Mizukara, he knew could no longer afford unnecessary behavior. The shadow of his face has long ago turn three degrees darker by the time he manages to address the Warrior of Legend. Whatever it was bravery, or foolishness, he speaks loud and clear, "The name's Shin Akiyama Mizukara." Unlike before, uttering his full and true name causes no elaborate punishment, rather saying his name grants the injured teenager both the strength and courage to continue to speak an individual far more powerful than himself, "Identity yourself. If you are to be my final opponent, I prefer to have a proper name to exchange with the honorable warriors of the past." His voice holds no command, yet no weakness. It is a simple, yet valuable request, for he and his Clan believe that it would be dishonorable to die by the hands of "nobody". He thrusts his hands outward and two blades materialize out of pure Mizukara energy, yet he makes no move to ready himself in any stance. In fact, he places both blades in their sheaths skillfully while he continues to glare at his opponent with consistent eyes. The gesture is to reveal both his willingness to die in battle, but to reinforce his request.

Ancestral Warrior was standing in the middle of the room. Silent and dreadful, his presence was unlike anybody in the room ever felt, not even Norio had the bad luck to meeting a Gainen face to face. To Ki and Magic users Gainen were like a black spot, a body of nothingness. These creatures were disconnected from this world, a thus from the energies inside it. For Espers things got trickier, as the Gainen are solidified thought and concept, from the minds of millions or even billions of people, trying to read a Gainen mind was like trying to fill a bottle with a firefighter’s hose on maximum. His head turned, glancing at everybody in the room. He ended up looking at Shin Akiyama, taking a half step forward, and presenting his weapon up high.
-Oh! A hon'rable warri'r w'rthy of mine nameth! I'm the warri'r ancestral, b'rn from the minds and souls of those….
But as he talked, with antique mannerism and gestures, with his spear still up high, the Young Bushitora decided to follow one of the edicts of warfare and common sense. “Attack when the enemy guard is down” and so he did, blasting forward with Ki enhanced footwork, creating a small detonation under his soles that propelled him forward at great speeds, nearing Mach 1. Norio tried to react, hoping to stop his son, and shouted. –No! Stop! - But his son was too deep on his battle hunger to notice and a loud CLANG! The kind of sound metal makes when hitting a stronger sturdier metal, resonated in the whole room, bouncing on the curved walls, filling the training grounds with echoes of the attack.
…who wield weapons and wisheth to returneth to the ways of the ancient times. –
Ancestral Warrior was completely unfazed, his arm didn’t budge an inch and the only thing moving were the flickering flames in the Red Armored Agent sword aided by the blade trembling, after hitting a surface so hard it would have shattered the blade if it wasn’t coated in Shin’s fiery Ki. –What the hell!?- That’s the only thing the younger Bushitora could say as he looked at his blade with his eyes showcasing his complete and utter shock. –Get the hell out of there kid! Yasumori-Omnyojutsu Kintate- Norio shouted as he threw a paper charm between Ancestral Warrior and his son.
The Red Armored Warrior’s life was saved by his father’s quick thinking, as the golden barrier was the only thing that slowed Ancestral Warrior’s sudden and extremely fast attack, a spear-hand blow with his free extremity that pierced through the barrier and sent Shin Bushitora flying backwards, crashing against the wall, getting inlaid to it. Ancestral Warrior didn’t even see in the direction he attacked, it was a single fluid motion as if his body just reacted and counterattacked on its own. He lowered his halberd and with skillful expertise he started spinning it while he pointed at Shin Akiyama.
-Warri'r of white mane, thoust identifi'd yerself, thus ye are allow'd to wage battleth against myself. cometh leteth's bath in blood and singeth praises to the Gods of War. -
Ancestral Warrior was challenging Shin to a fight. But something else was going on, something more deep and meaningful nobody seemed to perceive, as this challenge was the beginning for one of this Gainen conceptual skills. Norio, a bit more seasoned than the others, decided to take control of the situation. -Be careful, this creature is extremely dangerous, we need to hold him off until help arrives, we cannot take unnecesary risks... like my idiot son did...-

Looking around the area, he speaks to the gainen " Warri'r ancestral, would you honor me again by having the patience to hear but another request of mine. I would prefer to fight where the Sun may witness our battle, but if that does not matter to you, then at least allow me to perform a quick ritual." Drawing his sword, he performs a quick cut on his own hand, allowing his blood to drop onto the floor. Stretching his hand outwards, he begins to utter a silent prayer. The blood on the floor begins to dance around his feet until they form a circle around him. Then the blood begins to glow and illuminate the room with a bright light. After the light disappears, the blood has also vanish. Shin draws his other sword and enters a fighting stance. Taking a deep stance, he holds one blade over his shoulder, the other pointing towards his opponent's direction. Once he was sure his foe is aware of their current duel, he pushing off his back leg, thus closing the distance between them rather quickly. He appears to be using his leading blade like a spear, as he performs a quick thrust. The move seems simple enough; however, he adjusts his feet at the last moment to a stepping motion, moving to position himself at his opponent's side. The leading sword withdraws as the sword on his shoulder is swung across, aiming for the warriors' leg. Seeing how the other Shin's assault have no affect against this opponent, one might question the point behind this tactic. However, his weapon is not limited to just dealing physical damage thanks to being made out of pure Mizukara energy. During the swing, he changes the sword to remove itself from the physical world, and essentially allowing it to become intangible to the physical plane of existence. For the moment, one of his blades is now useless to counter a physical attack, or deal physical damage. Yet, he wasn't attempting to cut the physical body of his foe, but rather the foe's mental and spiritual connection to its own leg. Hopefully preventing the powerful foe the usage of his own right leg for a little bit if he lands the attack...at least this would work against typical bodies. But against a foe such as this, Shin is unsure of how it will affect him if it lands. Still, he knows that a physical attack from him will be useless, and thus he is force to result to this form of assault.
