The team slowly made their way up the staircase, both Caroline and Erin panting by the end at the exertion required. “Whyyyyyyyy?” Caroline asked nobody in particular, dramatically leaning against Erin as they ascended, nearly knocking the HWIC agent over. “We’re uh, nearly there! Just hang on!” She declared. A small smile spread across Caroline’s face as she looked at the agent she was leaning against. “I don’t suppose it would be too much to ask for you to…” Caroline reached over and ran her fingers up Erin’s neck. “...carry me the rest of the way?”
Erin’s eyes glinted, her mouth opening to stammer out a response...but Caroline put a finger to her lips to stop Erin. “Juuuuuust kidding. But I adore your newfound enthusiasm, oh officer of the law.” With a giggle, Caroline leaned away from Erin and finished ascending the stairs. Erin looked on with a mixture of disappointment and relaxation. Even though I’m being teased...it doesn’t feel like she’s making fun of me. She’s just being playful! Just who is this woman? With a smile, Erin jogged up to rejoin the group.
Caroline strolled into the building after Osechi, making a mental note that everyone had made it back safely, though a bit worse for wear like themselves. Upon hearing Gan address her, Caroline casually adjusted her hair. “Nothing I couldn’t handle. Your sister told me all about how much of a naughty boy you’ve been for abandoning her though.” Caroline joked, winking at what she figured would be an incredulous Osechi.
Listening to the situation, Erin nodded at Gan’s suggestion. “Right, we should try to lure him to those buildings where us non-fliers can get in range. I have uh, a decently strong ranged attack, but I can’t really use it around people that can get caught in the crossfire.” Erin explained. Caroline twirled her knife in her palm. “And I can only stretch, pretty much. But I’ll help where I can, juuuuust direct me!” She chirped. Spotting that Gan and the lady in the blue dress were conversing, a satisfied smile grew on Caroline’s face, who turned to some of the people whom she hadn’t yet conversed with.
“Why hello there, Uno partner.” Caroline strolled to join Gal and Vlad. “You have fun down there in the pit? See any mole people?” The snake-like doll asked, her eyes falling upon Vlad. “I don’t believe I’ve met your friend here.” Extending a hand, Caroline smiled at Vlad. “I’m Caroline, the pleasure is all mine, mister…?” She trailed off to let Vlad answer and accept the handshake. Upon first impressions, he appeared to be far more tired than Gal was, with the bags under his eyes easy to spot. And for some reason, he gave her vibes of some sort of private detective. Perhaps there were some interesting stories to be discovered here.

Gallerian wasn't in his best humor when he reunited with the others, his once perfectly broomed wings were now quite a mess, not as white as they used to be, his clothes as well were quite torned and there was sand still coming out of him. He plucked more of his feathers and gave them to the goblings, he didn't even bother explaining what to do with them. Don't say anything or I'll chop off your legs - He warned the ex-paladin before moving, seems that the angel's pride was wounded. For Vladimir it was a first that the other didn't want to talk at all, and that was quite helpful now since he had a headache since the beginning of their mission. Thankfully the angel's mood changed when they arrived the room.
Oh, we must defeat them right now! - He answered the Gingerbreaed Knight, biting his lip a bit, he was trying is very best not to chomp it. He indeed did his best to be polite, so he decided to focus on something else, and his victim now was Gan - Dawwww thanks for being so attentive - He said trying to hug him just to be pushed back by one of Vladimir's pentagrams, after frowning at the other he talked back to Gan - If you need parents my wife and I can adopt you without trouble! And you could have addorable little brothers! - He giggled before moving on towards Caroline, his Uno partner.
Vladimir could only sight and move his head in disapproval, its not like he didn't trust Gan but the less people knew about Derek and Thomas the safier it would be for them, he didn't even know if Gan could be one of those people that with for a bunch of money could be conviced to kill others... Not like the Kingdom could do that but the gossips of the Hidden World made it clear for him after knowing the incident in the Arata Island...
Heey! Hello there, Caroline~ - Gallerian greeted her with his casual self - Oh! It was nightmarish! There was a huge rex that did a number on me and many many goblings too! If I could only use my fullpower this would be so over buuuu~
Maybe you should have come with your master - Vladimir answered, it-it wasn't that he now was quite expectant to meet Gallerian in the future and maybe accompanied of the two boys he worried for almost 23 years... Not like he could meet them or otherwise... His headache just got worse by just thinking about it. However he couldn't think too much about it anyway, since the greenhaired girl was greeting him right away - Ah, I'm sorry - He accepted the handshake - I'm Vladimir Kearney... Nice to meet you - He said quite nervous, he never knew how to interact that well with people that seemed to be.... awfully friendly

After trying to keep his clothes whole the entire trip, Aaron hated having to give a scrap of it up, even if the other goblins already damaged it. But he had no choice if he wanted to get out of the hellhole in a timely fashion. When the dinosaur group got back to the house, Aaron found a soft armchair and fell asleep by the cozy fire. On the other end of the spectrum was Arthur who merely smirked at Dan and the rest being exhausted by mere stairs and a bit of snow. They were clearly slacking on their cardio!
The gingerbread knight’s loud arrival snapped Aaron awake. The few minutes of rest he got only made him feel more tired and more easily irritated.
“You’re saying you couldn’t do your task while we were busy down there. Fucking wonderful.” Aaron rubbed the sleep from his eyes. “I can try to hit it at range, but I’m not sure how long I can keep that up for.” He yawned.
“I can assist in the air,” Arthur chimed in. “And Erin’s big moves might be useful for blocking its path and directing the fight toward all the non-fliers.” He turned to the agent. “Feeling up for it, er, Eri? Eriri? Rinrin? Nevermind, we’ll need to make up your nickname later.”

“It’s best if you ignore his offer.” Jun whispered to Gan when the angel offered adoption. “His children are irritating.” Dan traced a path with his fingers through the streets until he found a comfortably open area. “I agree with Gan. This square looks like a good spot for it. Lots of room for us to move around and for Erin to use her petals, and anybody shooting from the roofs has a perfect view. Arthur, Galerian, you can lure him down. Sound good to everybody?” Dan frowned, but there was no time for his worries. If he had to sit this out, so be it.
“I can communicate the plan with the elves if this is agreed to!” The Gingerbread Knight yelled, unnecessary with everybody crowded around one table. “It doesn’t seem entirely unreasonable to me.” Jun shrugged. “We only need to weaken him enough for whoever is holding the device to use it on him. Speaking of which, who should wield it?” Wilson was silent on the matter, just following Jun’s lead. Jun was looking over everybody, silently judging their ability. Certainly not the clumsy girl, but perhaps not somebody who would be more useful unoccupied either. It was a difficult decision.

"T-that is noot true!!"- Osechi replied in the spot, slightly red from the lie Caroline had just told. Tengri laughed almost immediately, which made Osechi even more embarrassed
"There there, you are back with me now again"- Gan told Osechi as he rustled her hair
"I'm telling you it's not like thaaat!!"
Gallerian's suggestion registered as a joke on Gan's eyes, talking about family always made him somewhat uncomfortable, although for a moment this made him think back of his mother... "heh, thanks but I'll have to decline."- He told Gallerian just as Jun suggested him to decline
“His children are irritating.”
"The apple doesnt fall far from the tree then"-He told her, visibly uncomfortable from that interaction with Gal.
As they were discussing the plan, Osechi made her way towards the fire. She had no interest for the plan.
Gan, after listening for a while, frowned. He knew wielding the artifact was not possible for him.
"Unfortunately, I cannot be the one to wield it, I have taken small doses of Shinto blood over the course of years and that thing might react to my Ki."

“Hoooooooooh? Is the angel hiding some mystical power from us mere mortals?” Caroline asked, narrowing her eyes and smirking. Truthfully, Caroline had no idea what this ‘rex’ was, nor ‘goblins’. But now wasn’t the time to ask such questions. Her eyes drifted toward Vlad, who seemed far more uncomfortable with her presence than Gal was. Unlike Gal still, he didn’t have a ring on his finger, though that didn’t mean he didn’t have a lover somewhere. Older people had a higher chance of having one, at least in Caroline’s experience.
“Vladimir Kearney, huh? Mind if I just call you Kerry instead?” Before Vlad could object, Caroline smiled. “Thanks, you’re such a good sport!” Smiling, Caroline patted them both on the arm. “Well, I am delighted to see you both did so well down there. If you ever need a friend to chat with…” Caroline skillfully passed one of her cards into Vlad’s palm. “Feel free to call anytime, ok? I’ve already given one to your angelic friend here.” Caroline winked at Gal. “Now, if would would please excuse me for a bit, I have some things to say. Ciao!” And with that, Caroline left the two.
Walking up to the table, Caroline held up her arm when they began discussing who could use the device. “I could do it! I can latch on with my stretchy limbs and use it whenever!” Caroline demonstrated her power by extending an arm across the table at Erin, shaking the HWIC agent’s hand before retracting it. “But if someone else wishes to try, go on ahead!” She chirped. “Oh… yeah, that seems best.” Dan nodded. He had been planning to take it himself since there was little he could do otherwise, but she could use it better still.
The small amount of disappointment in Dan’s voice made Caroline pause, regretting a little her decision to jump in like this. What was Dan to do against something this strong if he couldn’t face down a hairy man? Erin wasn’t paying attention to the current situation, her attention trained on Arthur. “Heeey...why are you trying to give me a nickname too?” Erin whined. Caroline slipped between the two and held her back with one arm, leaning Erin back slightly.
“If you come up with a good one, let me know. I just call her ‘officer’ right now.” Caroline smiled, Erin looking over with nervousness at whatever name these two will come up with. Caroline’s hand then reached for the top of her jacket zipper. “Oh, Erin. Would you be so nice as to give me your jacket for a minute?” She asked. Erin’s eyebrows furrowed. “Huh? My jacket? Why?” “I need to help someone out! Don’t worry, you will still have a coat. Please?” Caroline looked at her with a carefully-honed set of puppy dog eyes. This made Erin blush once more. “F-fine, go ahead…”
With one quick motion, Caroline pulled down the zipper and whisked off the jacket. “Thank you so, so much!” She exclaimed, hugging the HWIC agent and sliding next to Jun. “Excuse me, I couldn’t help but notice your incredible dress from earlier, and how your coat is in pretty bad shape now. Would you like to trade for this nice, warmer one?” Caroline asked, holding out Erin’s.
Jun blinked in surprise when approached by Caroline. On some level, she really wanted to hold up her nose and declare herself above help. But her coat truly was a disaster, torn to shreds by goblin weaponry while she was defending Gan. She waffled for a moment before sighing. “You need warm clothing more than I. I will be warmed enough by my armor in battle.” She waved Caroline away. This made Caroline’s eyes narrow with interest. “Oh, but I have plenty of warmth.” Reaching into her coat, Caroline pulled out a strange metallic spider-like device that seemed to radiate heat from all parts of the front part. “Just insert this into a coat, and it’s a nice, warm portable heater. Even that would become pleasant to most people, I’ll have you know.” She explained, curious to hear Jun’s response.
“You won’t leave me alone if I don’t accept, will you?” Jun reluctantly smiled and shrugged off her coat. “Wear it well.” She traded, wrapping herself up in Erin’s coat. Now she owed them both a favor. Perhaps new coats, that seemed reasonable. Caroline accepted the ruined coat and smiled at the response. “I’m glad you know how this works. By the way...I have to ask. Where did you get that dress of yours? I managed to see it before, but couldn’t speak to you before now! I’m a bit of a fashion fan, you see. And that ruffle pattern was positively marvelous! Quite a shame…” She looked disappointed at the skirt’s current condition.
“Ah, well you do have taste! This was made for me by Aimi Maki. She’s a real rising star in the Seamstress Guild, you know. I feel she has a flair for the older style I was seeking. None of those brand-name jeans and Supreme hoodies that the wealthy of today flaunt.” Jun held the front of the skirt out, examining the dreadful damage. “It seems I will have to get her to repair it after all this. It would not be the first time. Perhaps I should ask her what enchantments she could use to make it more resilient.”
The mention of a seamstress guild piqued Caroline’s interest. It appeared that this woman was indeed wealthy, but wished to flaunt her wealth in a more traditional sense, rather than a modernistic one. Caroline also noted the lack of a wedding band on her as well, which was slightly peculiar for wealthy people after a certain age. “Aimi Maki, hm? She certainly has a musical name. Magical enhancements are certainly delightful, my seamstress friend put an additional heating enhancement on this dress I have.” Caroline unzipped her own coat to show off the red Christmas style dress she was wearing to go along with the hat on her head. “Perhaps you’d be so kind as to show me this...seamstress guild? Who knows, maybe we could go shopping for new stuff together.” Caroline said, holding out one of her cards for Jun.
“Well, I owe you a coat anyway. Perhaps I can take you with me to Aimi’s shop when I get my dress repaired.” She resisted rolling her eyes at Caroline’s outfit. It was rude, even if what Caroline was wearing was absurdly tacky. Despite Jun’s best efforts, Caroline already suspected of her opinions about her dress, but it didn’t change Caroline’s affection for it. “I look forward to it, but I think we’ve forgotten something.” Walking forward, Caroline extended her hand. “I’m Caroline. What are you called, oh aristocrat?” The snake doll asked with a smile. “Pleased to meet you, Miss Caroline. I am Jun Li.” The aristocrat said with the dignity of a senior statesman.
Once the introductions were over, Caroline made her way back over to Erin, holding out Jun’s ruined coat in a presenting fashion. “Mission accomplished! Here’s your replacement!” Caroline chirped, Erin looking on with disappointment. “You...can’t be serious.” Erin looked on. Caroline chuckled and, in one motion, took off her own coat and held it up to Erin. “Of course I was joking. Mine’s a little more intact, yes?” Caroline stated. Erin took the coat and slipped it on. “Okay...so you’re going to wear that thing?” Erin asked. Caroline smiled and held up the little device she showed Jun. “Don’t worry, I have two heaters on me. But I appreciate the concern, it’s cute.” Slipping the device into Jun’s coat and slipping it on, Caroline twirled to present the new look to Erin, earning a few awkward claps.
Walking up to the table once more, Caroline picked up the device and held it up to her head. “So does anyone know how this thing works? I think on-the-job training would be back with this one.” She asked nobody in particular.

What? You now are wishing to see my adorable kids? You're cursed and I'll kill you if you put them on danger! - The angel wasn't joking when he made that statement, neither he hated Vladimir, but the truth was there
W-Well... ugh... - The ex-paladin went silent, the angel was right
Well! Indeed I'm powerful, I'm an Angel of the Lord but in order to be on Earth I have to supress my powers and obey the mortal that has a deal with me - The angel explained to the girl, he didn't want to go into details but maybe that was enough for her to understand.
Vladimir didn't have time to respond to Caroline, he was mute and holding the card onto his hand. At least being called Kerry wasn't as embarrassing as being called Tulip.
Both the angel and driaochta were able to hear Gan and Jun's conversation. The angel was bitting his lip "They are irritating" and How on Earth did Juu know that?! How could her assume such a thing!?! These kids only seemed to be attracted to trouble but besides of that they were adorable little fledglings! Vladimir just sighed, is not like he could protest either, he didn't know them at all.
I'll be nice to you, here - The angel put a cellphone in front of the ex-paladin's eyes - They are adorable aren't they?
Vladimir pushed back the device as it was pretty close to his face, once he got a better glance he saw a picture of a freckled boy blowing a candle from a cake, green eyes shinning and the curly brown hair was under a santa hat. Holding the cake was a taller boy, blonde straight hair tied up with some clips, smiling gently at the other boy. Behind them was a red haired woman with purple eyes, holding a poster that said "Happy birthday and Merry X-mas!" In mere seconds he recognized them, those were Thomas, Derek and Chloe. So even after those years she still had that serious expression even if she couldn't hide her happiness. Vladimir felt like crying in that moment, they grew so well... they seemed happy. He felt awful for desiring such a greedy wish, how could he wish to meet them when their happiness could collapse in seconds by his presence?
In the second I recognized you, I've noticed how lonely and sad you were - The angel patted his back - but I can't let you get near them - The angel sighed - But you need to know I take care of them, we both, Chloe does an amazing work... Better than I to be honest
When they went to the table, everyone were remarking their thoughts about the plan and the device. Gallerian couldn't agree more with Caroline to held the device, she seemed talented enough to be responsible of it.
Well, seems I get a new partner - He smiled towards Arthur - Vlad can protect the others with a spell as well he can use some pentagrams to use as stairs in case things get complicated
A-Ah yes... actually not... I'm... drained out - Vladimir said in embarrassment
Gallerian's left eye twitched in annoyance - Go sit by the fire - He pushed him towards Osechi, making him leave the group around the table. The angel could be patient with the younger ones, but the grown ups like Vlad he was mercyless like a snow storm

When Caroline offered to use the device, Arthur smiled. "That's exactly what I was thinking. With your stretchiness, getting through a guard should be easier. You can probably even surprise them with your range."
Aaron looked Caroline over, but with her being a hidden worlder, that didn't tell him much about her other than that she's hot. "I'm fine with whatever. You think she can handle it, give it to her."
"Alright. If no-one objects..." Arthur handed the device over to Caroline. "Here. You just need to get close enough, about 5 feet should do, and pull this trigger. Speaking of which, just how long is your reach? We should know so we can get him close enough."
While the discussion was wrapping up, Vlad and Gal approached. " Well, seems I get a new partner," Gallerian said.
"Seems so. I'm curious if an angel can keep up with me in flight," Arthur said. Then Vlad explained he was drained and Gal sent the old paladin away. "Geez, is that what angels are like? You really shouldn't treat him like that, you know. This excursion is more tiring than any of us expected and I'm sure Vlad contributed his fair share here, like he did when I met him last time."

The clouds were in as many twisted knots as Jun’s stomach. Snow whirled in eddies and vortexes, never touching the ground. In the cobblestone square, she was surrounded with everybody but Arthur and Vlad. It would have been beautiful, but for the storm. The towering skyscrapers around the square looked like they were penned into reality by Doctor Seuss, vibrant reds and greens, tilting like crooked teeth. Before them, the ultimate Christmas tree stood, dominating the center of the square. Its top rivaled the skyscrapers in sheer height, its branches lined with needles so grand they were trees in and of themselves. Supposedly, every bauble that decorated it was the final work of a master craftsman before their retirement. It showed. Even the simplest, smallest trinkets were more dazzling than the crown jewels of a European monarch. “How much do you estimate one of those would cost?” Jun asked Gan with a tone that suggested she might perhaps be joking.
Arthur and Gallerian rose up over the clouds, buffeted by hurricane-force winds. Up here, snow danced with the stars, white specks against a background of pitch black. And in the middle of it, gods battled. Santa Claus swung a peppermint battleaxe, caught by the ribbony arm of the false creature before him. It threw him aside just as Krampus came charging, a scraggly-haired sasquatch with the face of a goat hit many times by a meat mallet. His curled horns met a square head head-on, shoving the creature to the brink of the clouds. It shuddered and pulled at the fringe of its body, a huge, lumpen sack. From it came flying presents; in particular, a dozen luxury cars that pummeled Krampus in the face, sending him spinning back.
Down below, Gan wouldn’t have much time to respond to Jun before a sleek silver sports car came smashing down five feet away from them. Jun jumped a foot in the air, sword out before she hit the ground. She was stock still for a second before clearing her throat and smiling at Gan. “So, uh… I hope that wasn’t your car.” She crouched to examine the pancaked vehicle as best she could.

"Well, not sure about that, but this one would look cute on you"- He said as he reached for a small decoration that looked like a bell made out of rare stones set on platinum. Unfortunately, Gan didn't even get to touch it as the luxury car fell right in front of him. He jumped back and frowned when he noticed the type of car it was.
“So, uh… I hope that wasn’t your car.”- Jun said to him.
"I...well that would be a shame"-He replied as he looked at the car, thinking that one was actually really nice.
meanwhile, Osechi began to sharpen her golden knife, despite looking like a mess, her skills were still on point and beautiful to look at. She walked up to Aaron, who had caught her attention
"Hi! I'm Osechi, but you can call me Osechi! who are you? why is your hair red? did you get hit in the head or something? that's a pretty tree isn't it? wanna climb it together? what are we supposed to be doing here anyway?"

Both Caroline and Erin walked out of the building with the others, Caroline holding the machine in her arms and being careful nothing gets damaged. The frozen tundra was definitely more of a force on Caroline’s body now that her coat had been replaced by Jun’s destroyed one, but she still kept the heating element from her old coat to mitigate the cold somewhat. Caroline took a glance toward the muscular red-haired man that she hadn’t spoken to yet, but it appeared that the bubbly chef had gotten to him first. She briefly turned to see the other person she hadn’t talked to this trip...but he had a significantly colder aura to him than normal people, and being a doll, Caroline wanted to avoid cold as much as possible.
Dan shuddered. Not just from cold, but from a deep-seated fear. Something big was overhead, and he had failed at every point today. He stood back behind everybody else, up on the stairs leading down into the square. There would be no battle for him today, but even being close made his heart pound.
Glancing back, Caroline spotted a familiar face and walked back to join Dan near the stairs. Holding the machine made it difficult to be as emotive as she wanted, but this would have to do. “Why, hello there stranger.” Caroline cooed at Dan. “What’s wrong? Usually you’re in the front of the pack, ready to face whatever scary monster is up ahead.” The doll asked. “Uh, yeah. I was. When I was trying to impress you.” Dan sniffed and half-smiled. “But… well, I don’t have any powers, so if I get involved I’ll just get in the way. It’s only really hitting me how much that’s hurt me just now. I mean, all I was ever good at was breaking noses, and now I’m not even capable of that against anything stronger than a normal person. And even then, if they’ve got a gun…”
Suddenly, Dan would find an index finger pressed against his lips. “Now now, what good does deprecating your abilities do, hm? Need I remind you that none of us can actually damage this big boy?” Caroline asked with her head cocked. “The only way to damage him is with this thing! Something even you could carry, no?” She asked, motioning to the machine. “We’re all here to play our part, and you’ve been delightful so far. How many normal people can say they held out against a dwarf with two axes? Or knocked out agents with rocket launchers? Or better yet…” A smile spread across her face. “...how many people can say they helped save Christmas?”
“I could… no, come on Caroline. You’ve got stretchy arms and all. I can barely take a hit like this. I’ll just stay back and play tactics. I’m not terrible at it. I just thought of something for Erin. Erin!” Dan waved to the redhead. “Could you make a sort of net of petals so he crashes through them on his way down? Thanks!”
Caroline puffed out her cheek a little in a pout when Dan changed his mind about her advice, but relaxed when he seemed to grow more confident again. Erin looked over and jogged to join the duo. A strange mixed expression was on her face. "Uh, yep! I can do that! Going to be honest, this is going to be super nice for me, since he is so big, I don't have to worry about any fancy moves with my petals." She explained. “That’s the spirit! See, I’m fine. Not fighting head on lets me think about it a little more clearly. Maybe I’ll, I don’t know, play Starcraft for a living. Okay, I won’t, I hate competitive video games, but still. Chess? No, same problem.” Dan shrugged.
While she had no idea what this ‘Starcraft’ was, Caroline smiled and nodded her head. “I look forward to hearing your orders, general.” With a wink, Caroline saluted Dan, turned on her heels, placed her hand on Erin’s back, and led her away toward the rest of the group. On the way, Erin seemed a little more tense than normal, prompting Caroline to look over to address the HWIC agent directly.
“Is something wrong? You seem a little tense.” The doll asked. Erin glanced back toward Dan, scanned the rest of the group, and let out a sigh. “It’s just, I don’t know, us! I just thought, you know, you kissed me, you’re super cool, we’re going out after all this…” Erin muttered. “So I don’t know why you’re still flirting with people!” She finally let out. Caroline lightly slapped herself in the forehead. “Oh dear, I didn’t explain myself, did I? Sorry sorry sorry.” Caroline stopped, grabbing Erin’s hands and holding them at waist height.
“See, I don’t really do the whole monogamy thing, ok? That’s just kinda who I am. I took a liking to you tonight, and would love to spend the rest of this night with you, if you’d have me. And while I’d be delighted if we could remain friends, that’s really all we’d be. You’re not disappointed, are you?” The doll asked with concern. Erin stared at her for a couple seconds as she processed this information.
“So that was just...casual, ok. Nope, I’m not disappointed at all.” Erin looked away from Caroline, who moved to meet her gaze again. “Ok, I understand you might have been expecting more, and I’m sorry for letting this go so long. But I do value you as a friend, and those feelings are real. So,” Caroline gave a warm smile. “Are we still on for tonight?”
Erin stared for a few more seconds, before nodding. “Y-yes, we are! I guess I misread the whole situation, but you are just...so nice.” Erin was trying hard to keep it together. Caroline reached forward and pulled the agent into a hug. “I’m happy to hear. So, how about we save Christmas and enjoy the rest of our night?” Caroline asked, Erin perking back up. “You got it! I’m ready!” A fire was now in Erin’s eyes, Caroline’s face growing a sly grin. It was nice to see Erin confident once more.

A mother's love is hard sometimes, also... it's not like his body is exhausted, no matter what I give him it'll be meaningless... only angels of opposite factions, together, can fix something as complicated as the mind or the heart... but doing that to a non-member of the royal family would give me a few months locked up in Heaven... - He explained in a whisper to Arthur. His tone marked that neither he was in accordance of the Heaven's methods.
The sky, wind, stars, snow and tree were beautiful for Gallerian, such an amazing view. The angel's wings shone as he flew and by a mere second with the reflection of the snow it seemed as the feathers had small rainbows inside of them. Gallerian sighed, of course he knew his feathers were beautiful but nothing compared to the wings of a certain older brother, he wondered how he would have looked if they were together under the same sky... The most beautiful angel in the world, a beauty no one else could imitate. Everyone else would have punished him for such sinful thoughts, but he missed his older brother Lucifer, and the mere thought of him made his heart flinch a bit. How strange to remember him in such a Holiday.
Gallerian transformed his axe into a morning star, the long chains were shinning with their silver tone, at the end of it was a ball covered in thorns while in the other was a maze decorated with enochian and celtic symbolisms.
Those are quite the expensive gifts... but I'm really humble so take them back! - The angel moved towards two near cars that were descending, summoning pentagrams and taking advantage of the strong winds he changed the trayectory with his brute force and wings. Sending the two luxury cars towards the fake Santa. It was a good idea to save the best of his strenght and not using it with the T-Rex...
Vladimir by other hand was there too, in the same situation as Dan. He was sitting alone in the stairs that lead to the square. Gallerian left him his cellphone before moving, he glanced at the pictures the angel took with it, mostly being of the boys and Chloe. He observed a photo of Derek, napping in the sofa with Thomas drawing on his face. While Thomas resembled a lot Vladimir's younger brother with the hair color and skintone, his curls and green eyes resembled the one's of his mother. Derek by other hand was identical to his mother, the only difference being that the prince's hair was straight and his body was bigger and masculine but both had the same grumpy face while sleeping. In pictures he couldn't tell if Derek was actually Fergus's kid. He observed the fight, Gallerian and Arthur were helping out Krampus and Santa in order to defeat the shammer. But immediatly returned his glance towards the pictures, there was one of Thomas and Derek with another boy, ginger hair, serious face and blue eyes... The Ex-Paladin's eyes widened, the world couldn't be this much of a handkerchief was it? He tapped the screen to make the image bigger, he could recognize that facial features anywere... The face of his older brother... but the hair of his sister-in-law. So... his other nephew was there too, Andrew Starfield. He knew Silé decided to give the child her last name in order to prevent the hunters from the Inishnabro island to kill them, since they were always against of the Kingdom. He tried his best not to cry. He remembered, there was something inside of his briefcase, in the small room inside it, generated by the pocket dimension... Maybe he could ask Gallerian to give it to them once things were solved.

In response to Arthur's protests, Gal explained some heavenly rules to him. "Geez, angel rules are too complicated. Wait, no, that's not the point! There's a difference between tough love and being a jerk for a poor reason. Treating a grown person like a kid is really not cool."
It wasn't long before the final battle commenced. While the others waited, Gal and Arthur went up to draw aggro. In the process, they were almost smashed into by some expensive-looking cars. "Man, Santa would never give out gifts like that, would he? Maybe this guy isn't the worst replacement, eh? Ah well, we're not really in a position to accept these, so... Return to sender!"
Arthur slammed into one of the cars from the side, pushing it behind the fake santa. Two ice pillars appeared in the air below it and pushed it into the santa. "Hey, Sandy Claws! I'm sure there are scarier gods in petting zoos! Stop pretending you're a big shot when you've got nothing to back it up with!" Getting the evil santa's attention was step up. Pulling him to the rest of the group was gonna be the tough part.
Meanwhile, Aaron was assaulted by a different kind of god. Osechi's barrage of quuestions caught him off-guard, even making him retreat a bit, although that could've just been the invasion of his personal space. "It- I- Uh... Fucking hell, slow down a bit, woman! It's just red hair, you can't tell me you've never seen that before. And we're not climbing anything, we're waiting for the reason for this whole mess to show up so we can beat him bloody. Weren't you paying any attention? Geez, my kid siblings was more attentive at age six." Despite the annoyance in his voice, something about Osechi softened his attitude just a bit. Her bubbly personality made it hard to get angry even if her idiotic inattentiveness should've done that.

The pseudo-Santa’s head spun around, turning one square face to the flying heroes that yelled at it. Every facial feature was like a texture in an old video game, perfectly flat on the creature’s cubical head. One two-dimensional eye blinked as three cars arced up, diving down to smash it beneath the clouds. “There it is.” Jun stepped back as the brightly-colored figure broke the clouds. It plummeted through the cloud of petals left in the air, buffeting it with a barrage of cuts, turning its ribbon-arms into confetti. A massive sack of a body slammed into the ground hard enough that everybody present bounced.
Its head slowly spun and an endless stream of grumbling came from its mouth. Jun didn’t hesitate, rushing forwards to take advantage. She lunged for its head, swinging her cutlass down at its face. The head disappeared, letting her carve through cobblestone. “What-” She turned her head, gazing down the neck hole of the monstrous being. A massive cartoon spring sound rang out and a clown bounced free to slam right into her gut, sending her tumbling back. The jack-in-the-box head giggled as it was drug back in, and a dozen lights came blazing in its place. Tiny RC cars, loaded up with sputtering fuzes, came revving out. A newly-grown ribbon arm reached into the sack and pulled out a whole collection of remotes, clumsily wiggling to sticks with a surpluss of fingers to make them drive into the fighters around. Wilson was the first to learn just what the intent was here when his dance with one ended with its explosion, knocking him onto his ass. “...strange toys.” He grumbled.

It's just red hair, you can't tell me you've never seen that before
"O-of course I have! hehe..."- Osechi replied nervously while looking elsewhere
"I-In any case, it's a pretty red! reminds me of cranberries! aaand maybe they were more attentive, but could they do this?"- Osechi said as she tap-danced a little and extended her arms at the end, almost as if she were expecting a round of applause.
As she finished with her performance, the Krampus fell from the sky, Osechi's eyes widened and she turned to Aaron
"That's the thing right?! let's go let's go! I'll do my best this time! Come, sacred treasure Dojigiri!"
The chef God lifted both hands up in the air and for a while nothing happened. a few seconds later, a golden blade almost as tall as her fell from the sky. Osechi's clothes changed to a pure white chef attire the moment she grabbed hold of it. the light of her blade and garments soon faded as Osechi began to pant exhausted.
"I...I'll go right after you...just, give me a minute to catch my breath"
Gan noticed the glimpse of light in the back as Osechi summoned her sacred treasure
"Oh that's not good...she must be trying to impress someone"
Gan jumped right after Jun and went into the offense as well, he unsheathed his blade and released energy slashes at the hands controlling the remotes, if he couldn't control them, they would be no threat. He moved next to the shattered one, looking to see if she was ok
"Let's get a few meters between us and that thing, Osechi is going to swing"

As Dan had suggested, Erin had made a wide cloud of petals that the false Santa crashed through on his way down, the impact making both Caroline and Erin briefly airborne. “Waaaaagh!” Erin yelped, the lost concentrating making several of her petals disappear. Caroline kept a tight grip on the machine while they were airborne, landing gracefully on her feet and immediately darting toward the false Santa. “Just got to get close and…” She muttered to herself. Was this actually going to work? Leaping over a nearby car, Caroline pressed the button and attempted to hit the giant foe with the machine’s wrath.
Meanwhile, Erin sat up and dusted the snow off her back, hoping nobody noticed her fall down. “Right, stage two!” She confidently went, looking on as Osechi summoned a giant knife. “Huh. Fitting I guess?” The agent said to herself. Hearing a car beginning to approach, Erin began to jog away from it, holding out her hand and summoning a cloud of petals directly behind the false Santa. “Annnnnnnnnd now!” Clenching her fist, Erin sent the petals toward their gigantic opponent, though at a slow enough speed that it wouldn’t engulf Caroline should he disappear again.

Oh, don't you try to escape! - The angel impulsed himself towards the fake-Santa, the morning star swinging at great speed ready to smash its head again. As he get closer, he used his own angelic power to turn the confetti into sharp daggers, just changing its form to make the tips sharp enough like a dagger but suddenly his moves were suspended as he flew far away from Osechi, God-like power could break his wings and take several months to heal.
Vladimir by other hand, almost let the phone fall to the ground when the false Santa crashed, leaving it on the stairs the ex-paladin ran towards the action once again. Cars were moving at high speed, some were fighting against the impostor and the small girl was summoning what it seemed to be a dangerous weapon. He noticed Caroline as she was carrying the device, trying to get closer to the creature. Vladimir tried to follow her and summoned pentagrams near her so she could step closer.
Miss! Try to get closer, I'll cover you! - He shouted as he began to create more in case the false Santa tried to hurt her, so he could protect both the girl and the device. However he didn't recognize he was at full strenght at that moment, as if his previous tiredness was completely erased. Something was pounding inside his heart and it was something that could only be achieved if they defeated their adversary.

Aaron watched Osechi's tapdance, trying to keep a straight face. But a chuckle escaped him, then, as if the dam had been broken, he burst out laughing at the spectacle. He gave her a couple of drawn-out claps.
"You're a weirdo, but you're also endearing. You said your name's Osechi? I'm Aaron."
There wasn't much time for further chitchat though, as the airborn team managed to knock the evil Santa down. Osechi took the initiative, summoning a giant golden knife that made her glow. What ensued was tired wheezing as she needed to rest after the "transformation".
"Hmpf. Don't be flashy if it makes you useless, idiot." Aaron stepped up in front of her, cracking his knuckles as his arm tattoos lit up. He started running toward the creature just as its jack-in-a-box head retreated and it released the explosive RC cars. Undaunted by the approaching toy, Aaron lept over it just as it got close. Tucking his legs close, he flew toward the grounded faker then sprung them out for a heavy kick.
He jumped away right after, allowing for a machinegun barrage of ice shards. The shards weaved their way through Erin's cloud of petals to pepper the fake santa and keep it stationary while Vlad escorted Caroline closer.

Gan’s slashes cut the ribbon arms into ribbons again. Remote controls clattered to the ground and the cars veered out of control, propelled only by their sputtering fuzes. A series of explosions rang out across the square, replacing snowflakes with smoke. Jun nodded at Gan and stepped back, lancing out her fingers a few times. Pitch-black holes were stabbed in the creature’s sack-like body, leaking no blood or anything else. “Well that makes my job harder.” Jun sighed.
The creature’s arms were still growing back out again when Aaron drop-kicked it, preventing any form of defense. It was slammed back into the steps, caving in a significant portion of them. Its head popped back out when Gal’s mace slammed its chest, eyes rolling with a dizzy air. He flew off before it could grab him, leaving its arms groping at nothing. It leaned back up, looking more confused than anything else. “Presents?” It asked, as if it was confused why anybody would attack a gift-giver.
“Goooooood boys and girls… get presents.” Its head retreated again and a whole swarm of paper airplanes flew up into the sky to spiral down. Dan, watching from afar, didn’t understand the attack until one lazily spiraled into one of the branches of the great tree above and it immediately came crashing down. “Ah crap! Stay away from those things!” He yelled, but with the planes, nobody was looking at Caroline. Covered by Vlad, she lunged into range of the creature and pulled the trigger on her ungodly weapon.
A lance of pitch black came from the satellite dish’s center with a howl like ice-cold wind blasting through a canyon. It changed entirely in nature once it struck the false Santa. Crackling darkness pulsed through him and rebounded in gold, rings of deific energy bouncing back to the dish. Where physical harm was ignored, this drew a reaction. There was no noise, but everyone present could feel a scream. A god sharing its pain made everything within a mile fell like its heart was being sucked out through a straw. The entire world swam in red and green as it lurched forward, ribbon-arms flapping. No toys or dangerous gifts came from its gaping neck-hole, only thousands and thousands of ribbons, all reaching out for Caroline. They tried to loop around anything they could grab and pull in every direction to shred her entirely. “Fuck! Caroline! Erin, somebody, those ribbons!” Dan fought every instinct he had pulling him towards the fray. Erin’s petals riddled the beast’s back, but they didn’t even draw its attention.

"D-don't call me an idiot!"- She said completely blushed as she lifted the knife in the air and readied her strike, looking at the ribbons going after Caroline.
"God Slicer, Katsuramuki!!"- Osechi said as she swung with all of her strength, a gold energy blast at least twenty meters tall by ten meters wide came out of her cut, splitting the ground and the air as it went towards the ribbons, looking to shred the attack made by the Krampus. Her blade immediately stopped shining and disappeared into thin air, leaving Osechi exhausted and with her former dirty clothing.
"H-hows that?!!" she said before falling face first to the snow absolutely exhausted.
Gan in the meantime set a barrier shielding him and Jun from Osechi's attack, the energy blast tore through everything in its path as it made its way towards the krampus.
"harder? do you need something in specific? maybe I can help" -Gan asked Jun after he saw her attacks did not match her expectations.
