"Good job, Riri!" Love exclaimed as the water carried the gauntlet toward them. Loveline reached out, but the wave shook the chariot and spun it out of control so Love missed the gauntlet when it entered their bubble. The gauntlet struck Ariana right in the face. Love winced in sympathy but managed to grab it this time. Though she also noticed Ariana was having trouble with her leg now.
"Hang in there." She put a hand on Ariana's back to support her. "We're almost there." She put the gauntlet on her other arm and was surprised by how much it weighed. But it didn't seem really special aside from that. Until Love channeled mana through and electricity sparked out. "Alright. This is cool." She couldn't admire it too long though. Streams of water came right at them. Love saw their paler color and the bubbles forming around them. "Watch out, Riri! That's too hot for you to control, you have to avoid them!" Damn opponent! He doesn't care at all! This can't be forgiven!
She pointed at their opponent with the gauntleted hand and said "Alright, with the power of Thor, we're taking you down!" She hoped Ariana didn't think that sounded terribly uncool, and took her scythe. Electricity sparked around the gauntlet, then it spread through the scythe, and finally coalesced into a ball at the tip of the handle. "Pattern 63: Boom Boom Da-" She froze. She noticed the creature pulling the chariot. A wolf tentacle popped into her head. A monster on top of a cliff. Blood. Ariana's disappointed face... Her hand shook. If she did what she was planning, the creature would probably get hurt, too. Maybe even die. No, she can't do it.
She closed her eyes, and took a deep breath. She'll have to be more precise. More creative. "Pattern 15: Lavander Stream!" A stream of orbs flew straight out of her scythe. But their target wasn't the other driver. Not directly. Rather, they flew several meters ahead of the opponent, but left a thick stream of electricity in their wake, right at the opponent's chest level. If he didn't duck until his head was below the chariot's wall, he would be electrocuted. But that was only setup. "Pattern 42: Shower Magnolia!" A rainbow bullet flew past the opponent, then burst into 13 other bullets. 12 were white and moved back towards Loveline. Rather, they moved toward the opponent's chariot's wheel that would be between them and Loveline. The last one was a yellow tracking bullet, aiming at the opponent's chest. Love was hoping that he couldn't see what was happening if he ducked down to avoid the electric trap, so he couldn't avoid her attack then! --- Instead of catching the target she was hoping for, Jamie caught something better. "Hey, thanks!" She said, tugging at the bag. "Now if you behave, I'll leave you back at the entrance and we can part ways happily, okay?"

Ariana felt the rumble underground and nodded. “I’ll just move us instead!” She said with her most serious tone, realizing quickly there was no need to make a big deal out of it. It wasn’t exactly some high-end strategy. That was what she had the others for! Wincing in anticipation, she put her leg out and with a much more careful application of force than before, sent them into a wild drift that slid them out of the way of one geyser. Another shove sent them straight forward again, leaving another boiling jet emerging right where they were an instant before.
Ariana slouched forwards on the chariot’s rim. They still needed more sharp turns, but her leg was completely busted. She couldn’t do that anymore. Her mind turned to another solution, and she held out a hand. She should have done this in the first place! From ice she molded an anchor, swinging it out at the ground. It stuck tight, and with a good tug, she tightly turned the chariot before letting go again and shooting off straight. She screamed and fell against the front the instant she was no longer supported by the taught chain. Her leg was totally incapable of supporting her weight now. If anything else hit them, she would have to find another means of avoiding it.
Elyssa’s turnaround victory, completely nullifying the supernova, was incredibly impressive. It was also entirely missed by Cosmina. The instant she saw the supernova’s light, she wiggled back into the depths of her kaspa and slammed the door, making it vanish from reality. It was another minute before it opened up again to find the island back to normal, Elyssa and the man standing together. “Huh?” She asked before Elyssa pulled her off the ground with her squeeze. “Wah! We did!?” She blinked in shock. How did Elyssa not get vaporized? She didn’t even look more tanned than before! “Uh, Jamie! Ariana and Love have each other, you know?” Cosmina winked.

The strange undead champion watched Ariana’s method of sharply turning their chariot, a look of surprise on his face at the sheer display of strength. His sunken eyes then watched Loveline’s bolt of electricity traveling along the water. Slamming his spear into the ground, a wall of molten water erupted from the side of his chariot, sending Loveline’s bullets sailing upward while the electricity coursed through his body, causing several worn joints to outright burst.
Once it was over, the wall of water remained...but the duo couldn’t see the undead champion and his chariot. Out from the other side though, they could see that he had turned his chariot around and was now rocketing toward them, spear outstretched to try and either run their steeds through, or the duo themselves. A muffled scream radiated out of his mouth as he approached their chariot for the final exchange.
---
“Is this a joke? You can’t be serious right now.” Anna asked with extra bile in her tone, climbing back onto the platform. “Well gee, that’s a mighty fine offer there. How about I just give you my spear and tell you where I put all the stuff I’ve ever gotten from these while I’m at it?” A glare descended down her face. “Don’t think you’re some authority here, slime. You only just gained sentience. I’ve been doing this for years.”
On cue, the Kirashi let out another loud roar as several bolts of lightning erupted from its body, smashing into nearby rocks and sending minor avalanches down the side. One particularly large bolt came toward the group, but Anna held out her spear and the bolt disappeared into the spear tip. “Now why don’t you be a good slime and get...the hell...off.” Anna spat as she pointed her spear at Jamie, sending the massive bolt of lightning directly at Jamie.
---
There was a small pause before Elyssa hugged Cosmina, debating if she should call her niece out on her little escape that could have led to them losing should it have gotten back to her turn. Perhaps that would be best brought up later.
“They have each other, indeed. Though the expectations might be a little different between the two.” She remarked, stifling a chuckle. “Come on, let’s help out that slime!” And with that, Elyssa dove into the water. She expertly swam forward several yards, then fired her grappling hook to drag Cosmina along behind her to speed up the process. The titan of a sea creature below was imposing, to say the least. Its lightning bolts erupted throughout the area.
“Be careful down here, alright? Stay out of its line of sight, and try to spot anything shiny.” Elyssa instructed. Her eyes then widened when she saw another lightning bolt seemingly unrelated to the Kirashi’s latest attack blast across the battlefield.

Loveline saw Ariana struggling with her hurt leg. Just a hand on her back wasn’t enough. Should she hold her up properly? Or would that be weird? Well, if Arthur stressed anything during the talk, it was the necessity of consent!
“You can hold on to me if you’re struggling. We’re almost there. Just need to get past the wall.”
Loveline tried to peer through the white wall of water, but she couldn’t see anything. So when the chariot came crashing through it, Love panicked. Reflexively, she fired a Boom Boom Dandelion bullet at the corpse charging right at them.
-------
Jamie held on to the platform while Anna climbed back up on it. While the faux adventurer threatened to kill her, the monster sparked and unleashed another burst of electricity. It caused a small avalanche but the real danger was in the bolt that Anna absorbed with her spear. Jamie couldn’t exactly dodge while still hanging so the electricity struck her head-on.
But Jamie wasn’t a regular human. She was a slime. A magical slime, at that. Her body possessed a strange kind of conductivity. As the electricity coursed through her, her body stiffened, turning a dark green color and becoming perfectly rigid. Instead of falling off of the platform, her grip on it turned tighter than a vise. Yet she was also completely stunned, unable to do anything in her solid state.

Ariana hunched over the bars of the chariot, breathing heavily as the monster came charging from its watery smokescreen. “Yeah… yeah, hold me up! I need your legs for this!” Ariana summoned up a new anchor and drew back her arms. “I’m going to count down. When I say one, you need to help me swing. Really dig your legs in and put your hips into it! Got it? Three! Two! One!” Ariana turned and swung her anchor at the zombie as hard as she could. Her chain had grown just long enough to strike him right before his lance would reach them, should their swing strike true.
“Oh yes. I’ll have to help them out later! I’m a total love doctor, you know.” Cosmina sagely nodded before diving. She clicked, gauging the sheer scale of what they were dealing with and going dizzy trying to process it. There was too much it to take in. However, her preliminary scan also caught what she was looking for. “There’s Jamie!” She pointed at a little green speck near the monster’s mouth. “If you go get Jamie, I can keep Anna occupied from here!” Cosmina’s horns hummed. It was a long shot, but she had an advantage here. The speed of sound was four times as quick underwater as in the air, even if it took more energy to fire off sonic attacks in the first place. With a massive click, she sent off a single sonic bullet at Anna’s kidney, seeking to incapacitate her with a shot of pain.

Loveline’s colorful bullet slammed into the undead charioteer’s horses, sending them crashing toward the ground, a flurry of bones and rotten flesh erupting from the front of his chariot. The blast threw off his aim of the spear, which he attempted to fix by changing the stab into a downward smash. Unfortunately, Ariana followed up with a swing from her anchor, knocking away his weapon and sending the warrior flying off his exploding chariot, the water able to slow him down enough for him to land on the water without much force.
The gladiator’s body was in shambles. The arm that had been holding the spear was only hanging on by a few rotten strands of muscle, more of his right leg had been destroyed, and there was now a large dent in his helmet. He slowly stood up on top of the racetrack, looking at the two fighters who had presumably stopped by now.
With a nod, the man walked up to their chariot and held out the end of the spear, a strange look of relief on his rotten face. Once they accepted it, the man would turn around and mount one of his horses, having regenerated from the blast, and ride off into the outskirts of the coliseum.
---
“Hah hah...HAH! How do you like THAT?!” Anna shouts in victory, twirling her spear, aiming the point to stab into Jamie’s hand that was hanging onto the platform. However, an extremely fast-moving object slammed into her kidney, causing the girl to gasp in pain and sail off the platform, clutching her side. “Gaaaah...what?!” Anna asked in frustration, seeing a familiar tiny girl with green hair in the distance, and Elyssa grabbing onto the platform’s side with her grappling hook and rocketing onto it, holding the prize from the game in her other hand.
“Don’t worry Jamie, we’re here! Hang on!” Prying her hands off the platform, Elyssa hoisted Jamie on top of it and leaned forward so the both of them rejoined Cosmina, Elyssa also grabbing the bag. “Here, use this platform Jamie!” Elyssa handed the blob the bronze colored one. “Cosmina, you’re with me! Try to find where something like this is on its body!” Elyssa pointed to her trident, and rocketed around the massive beast.

Ariana felt a solid, clean hit reverberate back through her chain, saw his chest cave and bone fragment out from his rent body. “Yeah! We got him!” She twirled her anchor in victory as he landed flat in the water and they came to a stop. “Woah, cool! Okay!” She jumped forward to grab it when he offered his spear, wincing and collapsing to her knees. “We won! You think we can ride the monsters? I… don’t think I can walk.” She winced.
“Ohhhh, that might have been a bit much…” Cosmina giggled. “Wait, what? Look for… I’m doing that from over here!” She yelled. She was not getting close to that thing. Her clicks rang out, seeking information across the creature’s hide. She only moved when she had to, swimming slightly to the right in an attempt to get a different angle. Her attention was half on the beast, half on Anna just in case she did something crazy.

"Hehe, yeah!" Love cheered when her and Ariana's attacks connected. She twirled her scythe like a baton before unsummoning it. Their defeated opponent walked up to them with a strange amount of relief on his face. Was he cursed to race on this track until he was defeated or something? Or was he just glad they didn't completely murder him? Regardless, Ariana grabbed the spear and collapsed, which led Love to rush to her side.
"We can check if we can ride it, but we should be able to do it even if your leg is okay. Let me see.” Loveline put a hand on Ariana’s leg and started mending it. She added pleasant illusory sensations to make the healing more comfortable. “If they say no, we can always pretend you’re still hurt.” She smiled and winked.
---
Elyssa’s dynamic entry came just in time. Saving her from Anna and pulling her up onto the platform just as Jamie’s body started vibrating and jiggling, slowly returning to its pliable gooey state once more.
“Nice save! Thanks!” She flashed a thumbs up and was handed the bronze platform. She enlarged it and jumped on. “Alright Cosmina, point us where we need to go. But don’t get too close if you don’t want a spiker hairdo.”

As Cosmina clicked, she might notice that a strange spear-like object was embedded within the Kirashi's leftmost front fin, shifting in time with the creature's movements. Anna furiously threw her spear toward Elyssa, who effortlessly parried it with her short sword. "Oh come ON!" Anna yelled in rage, frustrated at her lack of mobility compared to the people on the platforms. The Kirashi's eyes tracked the fast moving objects going around it, letting out a roar that shook the arena once more. Strangely, its mouth stayed open, a vast quantity of water beginning to enter its body. Elyssa's eyes widened.
"Everyone, keep moving and scatter!" She yelled out, grabbing Cosmina onto her platform and rocketing toward the back of the beast. "Find what we need yet?!" She asked the doll.

Ariana blushed when Love touched her leg. It was awfully close to intimate, with Love’s feelings in mind. It was still so confusing. She did seem cool, but how could anybody measure up to that first glorious crush? Still, she didn’t immediately tell her she couldn’t ride the monster, so that was cool! “Thanks Love!” She sprang to her feet, waving her leg around to test Love’s healing job. “That’s great! Now let’s ride!” She swam up to one of the writhing worm-things, carefully holding out a hand. It screeched at her, drawing back into its coils.
Ariana stopped and slowed her movements, trying again with a much gentler motion. This time, it hesitantly stretched its head out to greet her, shoving a slimy mass of pale tendrils into her hand. Ariana delightedly pet it, undoing its harness to the chariot. “I knew it! They’re already tame, so riding them wasn’t too big of a leap!” She swam up and over its back, coming down to rest on its spine. “Come on, Love! Don’t worry about the slime, it’s probably harmless mucus!” Her smile couldn’t be any bigger or dumber.
Cosmina clicked and clicked again until a little splinter on the Kirashi’s fin caught her audio eye. “Bingo.” Her bingo failed as the beast’s mouth opened wide and began to suck in hundreds of tons of water. She was ready for a dramatic wail when Elyssa shot by, grabbing her out of harm’s way. “Oh thank you! Yes, it’s got something on the front fin closest to us! Please don’t bring me close when you get it!” She begged.

The healing appeared successful and Loveline was pleased to see Ariana was back to her hyperactive self. She transformed back to her regular form to swim up toward the monster horse and put a hand on it to confirm that it was coated in "harmless mucus". She didn't want any dangerous chemicals around her and Ariana's butts, especially when they're in swimsuits. Luckily, Riri was right, so Loveline clambered on.
The wormy body and the slime mixed into a strange sensation against her bare thighs, but that wasn't why she was wriggling. Her awkward wriggling came down to a single question: "Can I hold on to you?" She paused, then added, "It's pretty slippery and I don't know what else to hold on to." --- The giant creature started sucking in water and Jamie didn't want to find out what would happen when it spit back out. They had to get what they came for soon though. So Jamie turned one of her arms into a green jelly-like substance and pulled it back with the other. When she released, it slingshotted out a small green chunk at the creature's eye. Hoping it got the creature's attention, she started swimming to the creature's right assuming it would turn after her.
"I'll distract it, Elyssa, you grab the thing!"

Elyssa looked at Cosmina with one of her eyes, keeping the Kirashi locked on with most of her vision. "Sorry, I don't have anywhere safe to put you right now! Hang on!" Leaning forward, Elyssa rocketed them both toward the frontmost fin, eyes widening when Jamie tossed a part of herself at the creature's eyes, the Kirashi only moving to the side to let it hit harmlessly against its hardened skin. "Jamie, no! Get out of there!" Elyssa yelled at the cube slime, barreling closer toward the creature. Her eyes widened when she saw the Kirashi's body grow a brilliant light blue, eyes transfixed upon Jamie. With a massive Earth-shaking roar, it opened its mouth and unleashed a hellish torrent upon Jamie.
The attack was a highly pressurized blast of condensed water, more equivalent to a missle than water. The water barreled through its surroundings in a white spiral, creating a localized stream of air behind it that quickly filled with rushing water. Anything hit by this blast would be nigh vaporized by the sheer speed and pressure of it. Even though they were several dozen meters away, Elyssa and and Cosmina's platform shook violently from the sheer amount of water displacement occurring around them. Elyssa's eyes twinkled with excitement. "Almost there!" She said to the probably terrified Cosmina.
The two approached the Kirashi's front fin, and Elyssa was able to spot a long white pole that had a 90 degree bend at the base, looking like a mirror to the one Love and Ariana had won. "There it is!" Elyssa beamed, moving up to it and grabbing on. It appeared to be jammed in the creature's scaly skin, Elyssa putting her foot on to get more leverage as she pulled upward. "Come on...come on!" She complained, until the object finally came loose and nearly sent her flying backwards. She held it up in triumph! "Everyone, I got it! You two get what you need from your spot? We need to meet up now!" She called out over the intercoms. Jumping back onto the platform, Elyssa and Cosmina rode away, the Kirashi staying still as it recovered from the massive attack.

Ariana wrapped the beast’s bridles around her hands to make them short enough for use from its back. “Huh!? Can’t you just use-” She looked down at the bridles, now firmly entangled around her hands. “Yeah, I guess you gotta.” She mumbled. She let Loveline get settled in before flicking the reins. “Yip yip or whatever!” All awkwardness vanished when the creature made a writhing takeoff. Speed was bliss, her power reaching out by sheer instinct to channel the waves around them. The worst of the water resistance could not push her off.
She felt like a god of the sea, at one with the primordial forces that surrounded her as she emerged into open water. “Charge!” She yelled, pointing down at the leviathan below. The worm-thing kept moving, but did not lower an inch. Even after the monster stilled when done firing off its ultimate attack, it uselessly circled overhead. “Oh… I think it’s scared.” Ariana pouted. She couldn’t blame it, but this was making the worm less helpful than she hoped. “Oh well… on to freedom for you!” She untangled her hands from the bridle and half-turned her head to look Loveline in the eye.
“You’re gonna have to hold tight and trust me!” She pushed off of the worm and dove. She was a faster swimmer than anybody else on the team normally, but when she really wanted to book it, just just pushed the water. It was a simple move, really. A good shove turned still water into a rushing current, concentrated at her feet, propelling her faster and faster. “We’re coming Elyssa, but we’ve got a pickup to make first!” She aimed directly at Jamie, opening her arms. “Come on, you’re coming with us! Be as solid as you can!” The impact was certainly rough, but if all went well, Jamie was coming with her, away from nasty things like the Kirashi and Anna.
Not far away, Cosmina was clinging to Elyssa’s leg. “This place is the worst…” She mumbled, squeaking and eeping with every shake of the platform. Her mood improved slightly when she saw what was happening behind her. “Woah, Ariana’s got Love around her waist like a shawl. Guess she’s over you. Unless Jamie yoinks her.” The promise of love seemed to have Cosmina’s attention more than the life-or-death situation they had just escaped.

The ride made Love's heart beat hard. That excitement of the wormhorse charging through the water, the sense of speed it brought reminded her of all the times Arthur took her flying or ran with her in his arms. It's been a while since they did that. The nostalgia made her want to ask him for a ride again. Unfortunately, this ride couldn't last forever. Their steed was scared of the creature swimming below them. Love couldn't blame it. The thing was huge! It made Scylla seem tiny in comparison.
Since the worm didn't want to keep going, Ariana had another idea. Love held on tight as the water pushed them forward, despite nearly slipping off at one point. Now they were rushing toward Jamie.
Jamie had just avoided the creature's massive blast. As it opened its mouth, Jamie knew something bad was coming. Stretching her arms while holding on to her floating platform, she wound herself up then let her own body slingshot itself away. She pulled the platform with herself, just barely escaping the torrent that would've ripped her body apparent beyond reconsitituting. Now she has something else hurling at her.
"Come on, you’re coming with us! Be as solid as you can!" Ariana had yelled. Jamie transformed her platform back into its small version and just managed to grab it before Ariana smashed into her, pulling her away.
"Nice save! Let's get back together and see what we can do with all our loot."

With a sigh of relief, Elyssa watched Jamie get out of the way of the blast, which ripped through the surrounding water and smashed against the far wall, sending several tons of rock crashing to the ground and create a circular path of violent water, as the displaced water was refilled once more. Elyssa listened to Cosmina's comment and let out a chuckle. "Hey, I'm just glad they're having fun. Watch this, it's going to get rocky!" With a grin, Elyssa directed the platform toward the direction Ariana and the others were swimming. The Kirashi groaned as it recovered from its blast, turning its attention to the two fast-moving objects swimming around it and beginning to glow once more.
"Heeeeeeeeeey! Arianaaaaaaa!" Elyssa yelled out, waving to try and get her attention. She then tossed the strange spear she got from the man on the island, and then the other spear she just got from the Kirsashi's fin. "Put them together and hold it with the gauntlet!" She called out to the duo. Passing by the duo, Elyssa flashed them a smile and tipped her hat. "Welcome back, Ariana." And with that, Elyssa sped away, ready to avoid the mayhem that may soon occur.

Ariana, Jamie, and Love traveled far enough to be safe for the moment. Elyssa took the moment to toss over the parts the others had collected, instructing them to combine the parts and use the gauntlet. The knowledge she'd copied from Elyssa pointed Jamie to a simple conclusion.
"Oh, are we gonna get a superhero moment? Ancient magic artifacts are good at that kind of thing."
Whatever was gonna happen, Love knew Ariana should be the one to experience it first hand. Unless it was something dangerous... But surely Elyssa wouldn't suggest they do it if it would lead to Ariana getting zapped to death. She had to have some faith in Elyssa so she took off the gauntlet. "Here," she said, handing it over to the magical girl. "Whatever happens, make it flashy like a real magical girl!"
Once Ariana put on the gauntlet and grasped her trident, Jamie enlarged her platform again and took Loveline to a safe distance.

Ariana was agape as everybody offered her the tools to defeat the kirashi. “What? Me?” She held everything in her arms. So much power in a few things, and they were trusting it all to her. Tears pooled in her eyes. “...thanks, guys.” Piece by piece it came together until she held a full trident in her gauntlet. Lightning sparked on the trident and coursed through her, but she felt no pain. She felt… stronger. Her hair flowed around her in the water and she could see golden streaks zig-zagging through. Her body had grown even larger, maybe another foot of height and muscles that bulged like basketballs under the new armor that had appeared all over her body.
“I feel… the strongest I ever have. Stay back! I have this!” A chain appeared in her hands, electricity coursing through the center, end less an anchor and more a hammer. Twirling in, she rushed in, crossing the distance in an instant. The chain extended and retracted as she flashed it out to strike the kirashi all over its skull. Cosmina watched Ariana grow even bigger and go to punch out a kaiju. She was jealous of the first part, but the latter she could leave to Ariana. As everybody retreated, she leaned over to Love and Jamie. “So, Love, is she cuter this way or less cute?” Her smarmy grin took up her whole face.

In an instant, Ariana powered up to an unbelievable degree, closing the distance between herself and the monster before Elyssa was finished blinking. The water around her was shot to the sides with extreme force, violently crashing back into place. The anchor crashed into the Kirashi's skull, the beast stunned for several seconds as Ariana wailed on its thick hide around its head. With one final swing, its rightmost horn smashed off violently, the building-sized hunk of keratin falling toward the sea floor below.
Suddenly, the Kirashi began to glow a brilliant light blue, lightning arching across its scales once more. "Ariana, watch out!" Elyssa called out, ignoring Cosmina's comment to Loveline. Mere seconds later, a storm of electricity erupted out of the beast's body, looking for the nearest conductive object to fry with tremendous amounts of electricity. After the storm was finished, the Kirashi let out a deafening roar and lunged forward, looking to bite Ariana in half between its mighty jaws.

Love and Jamie joined Elyssa and Cosmina at a safe distance while Ariana grew. With her electrified hammer, she charged in, a fearless amazon warrior against an unbeatable monster. It was quite a sight to behold.
“So, Love, is she cuter this way or less cute?” Cosmina asked.
"Really, Cos? Now's not the time to tease me..." Loveline pouted, visibly blushing. "But the answer is cuter..." It was hard to look at those muscles and not want to touch them. She really looked like an amazonian goddess. Despite the beauty and power Ariana radiated though, Love couldn't but worry when the electric storm started. Unconsciously she clasped her hands as if praying for Ariana's victory.

Water turned to steam in the wake of the kirashi’s blazing bolt rushing in on Ariana. Ariana clapped her hands and spread them, ice splaying out between and around in a long arc. Ice became a chain and with more deftness than usual, she whipped out one end towards the lightning and whipped the other end around the Kirashi’s remaining horn. Lightning struck one end of the chain and passed through right back to the Kirashi. Her hands kept moving and forming ice, more and more until she had a chunk the size of a building. A last flick and it was a steel anchor and she shoved it right into the Kirashi’s mouth, holding it open.
The monster paused briefly when it found a giant block of ice in its mouth, but let out a deep rumble and bit hard down into it, cracks quickly beginning to spread across it. The force only increased when the lightning shot into its horn, but being a creature that generates said electricity, it was only mildly painful. With surprising speed for its size, the Kirashi pulled its long tail back and whipped forward, unleashing a miniature whirlpool filled with electricity toward Ariana, trying to trap her inside and send her sailing backwards, getting shocked all the while.
Ariana was surprised at how well it took the shock, but she guessed it was like how she wasn’t that bothered by cold. The whirlpool caught her when she wasn’t paying attention and she yelped as she spun. The electricity left tingles across her body, but it didn’t stop her from turning in the water. She spun the opposite direction to the whirlpool, nullifying the force and turning the whirlpool into nothing but stray currents. She burst forwards again, putting a palm on the cracked anchor in the kirashi’s mouth. “I don’t need this anymore.” The anchor blew apart, icy chunks fired off into the depths of the creature’s throat. In the fog of ice, one couldn’t be blamed for missing the structure forming directly over the creature’s head. When it cleared, another anchor was revealed, twice the size of the first. “I have a spare anyway.” In an instant, it dropped.
The explosion sent the Kirashi reeling, several chunks of ice shooting through its mouth and across the water outside. The anchor above was hardly noticed, slamming down onto the creature’s head and causing it to swim to the side, a large indent now across its shell-like hide, purple veins able to be seen at the lowest point. With another roar, the Kirashi whipped its tail upward, sending an upward storm of electricity that aimed to shove Ariana high up into the air in a whirlwind of water and electricity that began to turn the water into steam. If one was observing the beast, they would see it taking in a massive quantity of water, much like before when it unleashed a tremendous blast that nearly vaporized Jamie.
Ariana was feeling lighter and freer every second. It wasn’t so much that she was growing more powerful in this form as she was learning its power. Now as the lightning approached, it practically felt slow. She reared back and did a loop in the water, easily evading it. She saw it sucking in water and smiled down at it. “Challenge accepted!” Arms outstretched, the waves began to gather at her back.
After several seconds, the Kirashi let out a mighty roar and unleased another terrifying blast of condensed water straight at Ariana, plowing through the water and creating a localized void in its wake that quickly refilled with water. The blast spun in a clockwise motion, looking like a swirling vortex of white that annihilated anything it touched. Elyssa looked on with eyes wide. Surely she was just going to get out of the way. Rolling her eyes, Elyssa already knew the answer. When a joyous scream, Ariana was propelled forwards on a wave whose pressure cracked stone hundreds of feet away. She slowed for a second when meeting the blast of water, but only a second. With a shockwave, she blasted through. “Sapphire Storm… Tsunami Spear!” She yelled, words trailing behind her supersonic form as she turned into a human bullet. Trident points met the plates of the kirashi’s face and Ariana vanished with a crash and splat, like an armored truck full of watermelons being crushed by Godzilla, half of its face cratered in, chunks of scale bigger than cars coming down amidst a cloud of blood. A series of pulpy cracks and snaps rang out from within it until Ariana popped out the creature’s back, just like a bullet, draped in meat, shining prongs of her trident high. She looked down upon the creature like a god contemplating a sinner and watched it slowly collapse to the sea floor.
Elyssa stared on at the destroyed kaiju as it sunk down to the floor below, like a city block that had just fallen into the ocean. A smile slowly crept on her face until she let out a cheer. “Yeeeeeeees! You did it, Ariana!” She yelled out, tossing her hat into the air and letting it float back down onto her head. “I did! This is amazing!” Ariana giggled as she glided down to everybody else. “You guys are the best!” She scooped everybody into her massive arms and squeezed them. “I’m so, so glad to be back!”
