"ok, hell no, no way, no shape, no form, nope, not in a million years," Ann said as the traps returned to its place, it was basically impossible getting through. as soon as Gianni regained composture him and percival began to think about ways to cross
"Oh, you two are still thinking about crossing? did you see that thing?! we are gonna get turned into minced meat!! Percivaaaaallll" she said with watery eyes while grabbing Percival by the shirt as she pointed at the traps.
"we cant just press tiles at random! some tiles could make the entire place crumble, we could anchor the rope, but if we fall we will certainly die! you two don't understand, that trap scares me to death!! it won't be a quick death like with the Jiangshi!! it will be a death full of pain, we will witness how that thing tears us into pieces!"
*God, please give me a break!* Ann handed over the rope to Gianni again
"Let's just get this over with, and let's cross one at a time" Ann removed all of her equipment including her vest, leaving only her tan uniform, she wouldn't risk any of her equipment falling on the ground
*what was all that previous talk about not throwing away our lives then? jeez!!* Ann made a Big mac appear from her VM
"I'm eating this, I don't care, this is probably gonna be my last meal"

Percival listened to both sides of the argument as he looked at the area. First thing he noticed was that most of the blades shooting out from the wall came out in angles, but none moved in a downward angle that would make them hit the lowest part of the circular wall, maybe it was made like this to avoid accidentally triggering other tiles. He had seen his fair share of traps on his day, and apart from being amazingly advanced for the time it was built, this one seemed to be quite dangerous and very powerful. Still he shared that piece of information. -I think we might… or at least some of us...- He looked at them, since he was a bit too big for the plan he had in mind. -You might be able to move below the level of the blades, avoiding them even if you hit the pressure plates, see?- He stepped on the first tile, made of glistening white jade, and all the blades that popped out cut through the air, some even crossing over the tile and hitting the sides of the doorway. He proceeded to hit the second one, on the left of the doorway, but nothing happened. The first chains were still retracting. -I think they would entangle on each other, so a single tile and be active at one time.-
He explained, talking out of old wisdom. -So you see, you two could slide underneath and search for an off-switch on the others- But this long and winded explanation had a drawback, as he wanted to continue but something caught his attention. Something creating an echo in the hallway they came from. CLANG! The metallic sound grew closer. CLANG! The sound of metal piercing stone, like a climber placing nails into a rock wall. CLANG! CLANG! CLANG! More than one at a time. And soon he realized what was happening. -We might not have time to discuss how to evade this trap.- He muttered with fear slowly creeping into his throat and coming out alongside his words. He twisted a couple of light sticks and chucked them towards the hallway. The fluorescent light bathed the white jade corridor revealing that his fears were truth. The Jiangshi were climbing the gravity loop, using their launchable arms, piercing the walls and moving towards them with the unrelenting determination only the undead and mecha pilots from the 70’s poses.
That’s why their arms can extend, most of the traps could be avoided with their limbs, they could activate the seal from afar, they could avoid the gravity loop and they could move over the room that was blocking the group path without any issue. They’re made for this place. -What do we do!?- Percival asked while turning around, his eyes shaken with fear as the sound of their incoming doom grew ever closer.

Gianni glanced at Ann when Percival suggested they crawl under. She was barely bigger than him, maybe an inch taller. If he could fit under the traps, so could she. Still, he wasn't sure he did. "You don't know none will aim lower." He moved his eyes over the room. There wasn't a scratch on any of the tiles, the only marks in sight at least a foot or two above the ground. "Well, I guess maybe you do." He crept up to the edge of the tile before hearing a distant noise.
"What was that?" A trap mechanism going off? No, it was much worse. He glanced desperately back and forth, realizing that he and Ann could move but Percival was trapped here. "I'm attaching the rope! Ann, you crawl under and see if you find anything on the other side! Just hold on, Percival!" Gianni sprang onto the ceiling and dashed for the ceiling. He glued one end of the rope above the entryway and ran as hard as he could while upside down.

"GOD DAMMIT! LET'S GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!" Ann began crawling on the floor, almost immediately traps began to activate, but Percival was right, most of the traps were a few centimeters above her, scratching nothing but air. still, every time a trap was triggered Ann felt as if she was gonna get impaled.
*please body move faster!!!* Ann crawled as fast as she could while maintaining a low profile, it was at this moment she wished she had Giannis's powers, he had a much easier time just hanging above the danger.
finally, Ann crossed the traps on the floor, there wasn't anything that could help in particular.
"Percival, Gianni, there's nothing on the other side! let's get the rope set!"
Ann hoped Percival could make it in time, the Jiangshi were never too fast, so they might just make it.
"Ill cover Percival in case some of them come, let's move!"

As Ann crossed and Gianni used his arachnid powers to avoid the tiles, Percival was left alone in the hallway, listening to the encroaching undead horde. -I have a bad feeling about this.- He muttered, unsheathing his trusty sword, getting ready to fight off the Jiangshi for long enough to allow Gianni’s improvised tightrope installation to finalize. The first blade, shoot by one of the unliving atrocities flew right towards the Old Knight, who realizing what would happen if he avoided it didn’t have any other choice but parrying the high speed blade. The clash of metal against metal echoed across the room and hallways, the song of steel being performed by expert hands. Percival’s blade collided against the incoming attack, the vibrations sending shivers through his arms reaching up to his spine, but at least the blade was deflected, falling to the side, before retracting back to the darkness.
-It is affixed yet!?- He shouted, while Gianni kept moving, surely a bit slow, considering that most of the walls were covered in sharp blades. The next wave of attacks shoot towards Percival, who could already see the silhouettes of the incoming Jiangshi. The first attack, thankfully, hit the wall besides the Old Knight, so he didn’t need to react, but the second one was directly aimed to his legs. Thanks to the reflexes he cultivated for years, Percival leaped over the incoming attack while stabbing downwards. The thick tip of his sword crashed against the chain, pinning it against the floor and stopping it from advancing any longer, as if it did, it might’ve triggered one of the traps hitting Gianni. Talking about the Arachnid Archaeologist, he managed to finally attach the rope on the other side, something Percival checked with a quick look behind him.
The Old Knight didn’t doubt for a second, rushing towards the rope, and grabbing it. -I just hope this thing handles my weight.- He muttered as he started to cross, standing on it, trying to balance his weight on the thin rope. The sole of his worn out boots almost slid off, but he kept shifting his center of gravity, trying to avoid falling down. -I’m too damned old for this.- A curse escaped through his gritted teeth. The Old Knight could hear the incoming enemies and his blood froze. He was halfway towards the doorway, which was on the opposite side. Two large stone fists flew into the room and crashed into the floor, the first one didn’t activate anything, but the second one fell right into a pressure plate, launching a dozen of spinning blades out from the walls. Percival dove to the ground, receiving one wound on his side and one over his right shoulder as he fell.
Luckily he landed on a normal tile, so he didn’t immediately activate another set of blades from the wall. He stood up, looking at the rope, sliced in several places. He grunted as he did, looking around and barely managing to sway his body to the side to avoid the retracting fist returning to the incoming Jiangshi. Without even doubting for a second he shouted at the others. -KEEP GOING!- He prepared his sword in a guard stance, standing 10 meters away from the doorway they were standing in. -I’LL HOLD THEM BACK! I CAN TAKE SOME DAMAGE!- He quickly opened his jacket, giving them a glimpse of the canteen. -FIND THE OFF SWITCH OF THIS THING!- He roared as a new fist came flying, and he batted it out of the air with his sword, guiding it towards the tile he was standing on, before it retracted. His hands were getting numb from the force of the impacts, but he did seemed determined to stay and allow them to leave.
Their current location was the start of a new hallway, that after 30 meters reached a descending spiralling staircase. It was lit just like the previous hallway, with magical sources of light, the main difference was that these were red instead of blue, giving the hallway and more ominous feel.

Gianni openly cheered when Percival got onto the rope. He swung down from the other end to land in the opposite hallway, turning to find Ann crawling free of the trap-laden room. He nodded and looked to Percival. He was going to make it! Then a launched fist landed on the tiles and Percival fell. "Percival!" Gianni ran right up to the edge and hesitated. Even if he ran out there, what could he do? He only ever managed to hurt them when there was sunlight to drag them into. That didn't make him happy with Percival's plan though. "What makes you so sure there's an off switch!? What kind of ancient tomb lets you turn off the deadly traps!?" They probably inserted the traps last, working backwards from the very ends of the tomb back to the entrance, to avoid setting them off themselves.
Still, he didn't have any better options. He ran his hands over the walls, searching for any incongruity that could betray something hidden. A thought was coming to mind as he touched the floor. Percival might be right. With how sensitive these things were, a means to stop them from going off would be extremely useful while setting them. Could that perhaps be hidden with one of the tiles themselves? He began gently feeling the tiles nearest him for any signs of switches of their own. "Percival, watch out! I'm searching on the tiles!" He warned, just in case he set off something particularly dangerous for somebody in the middle of the room.

"There has to be something hidden somewhere! i'll look down the stairs, let me know if you get it to stop!" Ann ran past the hallway, she rushed down the staircase, the path was even scarier this time, but there was no time to hesitate, her friend's life was at stake.
*Percival, you must hold on! tch, where is the damn switch to stop this?!*
Ann began to lose her cool, at this rate, the Jiangshi would get him
*Please make it in time!*
she kept going down the staircase, her hand scrolling alongside the wall, it would make little sense if some hidden switch from the staircase were to activate a trap that was already cleared.

Percival was standing with his blade still at the ready, but his hand wasn’t as steadfast as usual, the tip of the sword shivering like a tree branch being hit by a cold winter wind, the shakiness extended all the way to the Old Knight shoulders, that were feeling his age at the moment. -Don’t worry about me dagnabbit!- He roared at Gianni and Ann. -I’ve survived worse, you can’t image how bad the Black Plague was!- He attempted to distract Gianni with an history comment to stop him from wasting time. The tile directly in front of the doorway wasn’t placed over a pressure plate, so Gianni’s prodding didn’t trigger the traps. Ann wasn’t as lucky. In her rush to go down the staircase she didn’t check for traps of any triggers. The moment she put pressure on the second step, a loud “CLACK” sound echoed around here, coming from the staircase and all the steps suddenly angled downwards, transforming the staircase into a spiralling slide.
As this happened a new waves of attacks came forward, but this time around Percival didn’t test his luck and covered his blade with the same oil he used for spells. “Even if I’m past my limits I can’t let them go through.” He thought, his eyes shining with the resolution to sacrifice himself to save his companions. Just as before the chanting starting echoing around the Old Knight, as if the voices of the past came to his aid on this time of need. But there was a difference this time around, as blood started pouring from the sides of his mouth, his eyes, nose and ears, as he was forcing more magical energy out of his body. The ancient celtic voices overlapped each other, while the clean and concise old english chanting accompanied them, giving structure to their chaos. As the incoming weaponized limbs were about to reach the room, Percival lowered his blade piercing the tile beneath him.
Bord Sylfum Créda
IMDEGAIL! A massive phantasmagorical shield appeared in front of him, blocking the doorway. -For the last time! STOP WASTING YOUR TIME!- He roared directly at Gianni. -I survived for 1000 years, have some faith!- The next wave of attacks crashed against his shield. Small cracks appeared in the ghostly bastion, while Percival’s body also seemed to suffer some kind of feedback, as more blood spurted out of his nose after the impacts. -JUST TRY TO FIND A WAY OUT HERE AND DON’T LOOK BACK!- He snapped, falling to one knee as the next series of attacks rained upon the shield he summoned. More cracks appeared, like the surface of a frozen lake taking too much weight in one point. -GO!- He kept shouting, while holding his ground against the Jiangshi horde.

“Ann? Ann!” Gianni heard the stairs click into place and turned, seeing her vanish down the slide. He stood frozen, Ann vanishing to dangers unknown in one direction and Percival shuddering under the blows of zombies on the other. He couldn’t see Ann, but Percival stood before him, bleeding like his every artery was slashed. His golden shield was struck and it only grew worse, Percival collapsing to one knee. Gianni grit his teeth when Percival insisted he leave. “You know I can’t do that…” He forced a pained grin through his tears as his hair began growing at a rate it hadn’t even hinted at before. His fingers moved like lightning to wind it into an ever-growing chord. “Not now that I have to drill you on the Black Death!” He threw the knotted end of the rope he made for Percival’s back.
“When I say when, jump!” He began running towards the stairs. To be pulled to safety, Percival had to be yanked back very fast, but Gianni didn’t have the mass or strength to do that normally. He needed some help. "Now Percival!" His knees bent just the slightest to propel him over the edge, falling in the center of the spiraling ladder. “Ann!” He called out as he free-fell. He reached out a hand in passing. With any luck, he could yank her from the slide and their combined weight would rip Percival from the center of the room. His weight should theoretically anchor them when he stopped moving, hopefully before they hit the ground. If not… well, even if this worked it would hurt like hell. He didn't want to think about if it didn’t.

Ann heard as the stairs gave a loud clack, she was barely able to say a word before she fell on the slide, her life could have flashed before her eyes right there but the timeframe was too short for it to happen.
*GASP!* "FUUuuuuuuckkk..."
As she went down the slide she wondered why life had to be so unfair to her, perhaps if she hadn't skipped college she wouldn't have had to go through all this.
The slide went way too fast for her liking, she tried stopping herself with her feet but to no avail, Ann tried kicking air in order to do a double jump, hoping that would slow her down, instead her body was propelled to the front as if she had suddenly crashed against a bump, faceplanting her all over the slide, she rolled down the trap now unable to maintain a position in particular, that action kept going for quite a while with each roll slamming her harder against the slide.
she didn't know for how many meters or for how long she rolled before she found herself at the end of the stairs.
Ann tried getting herself up, blood was blocking her sight, perhaps she cut herself really bad, she didn't know how bad the damage was until she really tried lifting herself from the ground, a sharp pain caught her left arm along with a strong cracking sound
"ARRRRGHHHHHHH!!!" she rolled on the ground in pain only to notice her arm was broken
she screamed as she struggled to get up without using both arms, both of her legs were damaged as well, not equipping her armor back was a bad idea.
"I...have to save...Percival" she told herself as she slowly limped on her new surroundings, trying to find something that could help his friend above.

More cracks appeared in the shield as the attacks kept coming. Percival was focusing all his determination and willpower into maintaining the defense, hoping to get the enemy contained for as long as he could, giving the rest of his group ample time to escape. This would hurt, a lot, but he was compelled to drink from the canteen when he was near death, his own body moved on his own, even after being dismembered. That was his curse. It would be instant, considering the amount of blades around him, he was sure he would be turned into mincemeat, but he survived worse and came back thanks to the grial. He wasn’t as honest as they thought he was, as he was born almost 1500 years in the past, but he didn’t exactly live all those years. He spent a good portion of them reviving from near death or actual death, as the Grial was powerful, but not omnipotent, he missed the XVI century almost from start to finish, after an accident in a ship he used to serve in, when lighting struck a barrel of gunpowder and his body was torn apart by the explosion. It took almost 10 years for his hand to find the canteen beneath the waves of the caribbean sea and then the rest of the century for his body parts to reach each other. So dying in this room meant he would die for real, at least for a long stretch of time.
He was decided to die for them, but clearly Gianni was too good and noble to allow such sacrifice to happen for him and reached Percival with his threads just as his defenses crumbled. -Urgh!- The Old Knight groaned in pain as the ethereal pieces of his shattered shield vanished into specks of light. The Jiangshi horde hopped their way into the room, triggering the traps, just as Gianni jumped off the staircase turned into a slide. Percival gathered what was left of his strength and timed his jump alongside Gianni’s. Spinning blades buzzed around the room, coming from every side, as Percival flew towards the doorway. Some of the Jiangshi started to get chopped into pieces as they couldn’t stop moving forward, since they momentum was blocked by the shield and upon breaking they flooded the room, like water through a broken dam. Lacking weight, as Ann didn’t assist Gianni, the flight of the Old Knight was short lived, but was more than enough to get him closer towards the hallway. Upon crash-landing he rolled on his side, getting a couple of cuts, one on the side of the knee and the others right on his upper back, but at the very least he managed to escape the room, while the Jiangshi that entered turned into mincemeat.
Percival looked with a mixture of relief and horror how the undead guardians of the tomb got shredded, realizing that could’ve easily been his fate if it wasn’t for Gianni’s quick thinking. -I’m alive…- He muttered, partially disappointed and frustrated by his inability to die, but at the very least he could keep protecting the other two. Below him, several stories down, Ann was in the next chamber, another large dome, with a closed door at the far end, in front of the spiralling , previously staircase, slide. The curved walls had two large rings coming out from the them, as if they had some kind of pipe inside, but bulging lines spiralled upwards reaching the top of the dome, a large crystalline sphere that seemed to contain liquid. On the opposite end of the hidden pipes, two large water wheels, built with white jade and obsidian, were stood over two large empty pools, in the sides of the room, in a perpendicular line to the the distance between the stairs and the massive black obsidian door. The place was well lit and allowed Ann to see details if she examined the area. More carvings covered the walls and several paper charms hanged from delicate strings coming out the crystalline sphere on top of the dome.

Somewhere between Percival and Ann's positions, Gianni jerked to a stop. His shoulder popped from its socket and he screamed, letting go to drop the rest of the way. He landed hard on the ground below, letting out another gasp as the air was driven from his lungs. Dizzy and pained all over, he rolled over, looking up through the red haze at the top of the stairs. He didn't know how Percival had fared overhead, but there wasn't a whole lot he could do right now.
Slowly air returned to his lungs and he could concentrate on how everything else hurt. Blood was trickling from his scalp where he had overexerted his spinnerets. "I overdid it..." He managed to stand and limped out into the room. He wanted to stare at the many features of the room, but first he saw Ann. "Ann! Are you alright?" He jogged over to her. "I think I pulled Percival off the tiles, but there's no way of telling from here. I can go back and find out if he's alright, but I have a problem." He gestured at the arm that hung limply at his side. "Do you know how to fix a dislocated shoulder?"

Ann kept limping in order to see where she was, she was about to check the walls when Gianni arrived, Ann replied to him while still fighting the pain
"You saved Percival? that's good...I have played some surgery simulators...I'm not a medic but, I can try if...UGHHH!...you are feeling bold, lay flat on the ground, I'll help you out"
Ann wiped off the blood on her face, she limped towards Gianni and knelt on the floor, waiting for him to lay flat as she told
"this might hurt a lot...I can't move very well, and I think I broke my left arm but...we can still do this"
Ann's vision began to blurry even further, she felt like she would faint at any second
"Hurry...we have to do this quick"
Ann began to tumble over, she barely had any strength left, perhaps the blood loss was too great, but she still was determined to help him.

Beaten, bruised and bloodied, Percival crawled towards the slide. He had several painful lacerations, wetting his clothes with blood. He was in a lot of pain, but he refused to use the canteen for this level of injuries. Leaving a trail of blood over the immaculate white floor, he dragged his body towards the former staircase. -No more tombs for me, not for a century or two.- He muttered to himself as he kept moving towards the slide. Finally he arrived to the edge and before jumping in he shouted. -MAKE WAY, I’M GOING DOWN!- And after that he slid the remaining distance until gravity took the wheel of his descent. As he did, behind him the Jiangshi were being exterminated by the traps, as they kept relentlessly advancing and getting utterly destroyed by the spinning blades shot out the walls and ceiling. Percival descent wasn’t slick or soft, as he basically crashed against the walls and the main pillar several times, turning around with each curve. He didn’t broke any bones, but he added half a dozen bruises to the collection forming on his skin. Finally he landed with a dry THUD, on the chamber the others were. He laid in the floor, still in a lot of pain. -Everyone alright?- He weakly asked, trying to avoid touching the topic of his attempted heroic sacrifice. He didn't even attempt to move.

Gianni lay down and shut his eyes tight, not wanting to see whatever Ann did to his arm. Before she managed to set it, however, he sat bolt upright at the sound of Percival hitting the bottom of the slide. "Percival!" He jumped to his feet, but Ann was toppling beside him. "Oh no... I've just got a dislocated arm, but Ann's really bleeding." He hooked his good arm through hers and helped her to the floor. It was worrying that he seemed to be the most intact right now. He could barely produce any more thread right now and his arm was useless, but he was at least moving. He created what thread he could to wrap her head wound and put a scrap of cloth from his backpack on it so she could touch it without sticking. "Put pressure on it until it stops bleeding. My thread's pretty absorbent, so it should work. Percival, can you stand?" Head aching, arm numb, Gianni forced his feet to bring him over to where Percival lay.

"Percival...you are ok...good." Ann said as she finally went unconscious, the blood loss was much greater than she thought as her entire back was now damp with blood
Ann closed her eyes, the virtual machine was still able to show her life points: 30/200
*ah...I'm still alive...* she noticed as her life bar kept going down at a steady pace 29, 28, 27...
-Condition critical-
*Yes, I know*
-you have leveled up, skip to your next life?-
*no...I promised him I wouldn't die just like that*
-Rebooting, all points spent on HP-
Ann took a desperate breath as she gained back her consciousness, an even sharper pain went through her body
"ARGHHHHHH!!! GOD!" she screamed as she wrung in pain
"Gianni, Percival, help me!!! I cant take this pain!!!" she screamed with tears coming down from her eyes
"UGHHHH!!! WHAT IS GOING ON! WHAT IS HAPPENING?!!!" Ann noticed her HP was beginning to increase rapidly, 20, 30, 40, 50...each tenth felt as if her injures were set on fire, her cuts and bruises were closing blindingly fast, leaving traces of smoke as if her blood was combusting
if Gianni looked closely he would find Ann's arm was setting itself back to its original form, loud cracks followed after her fracture was no longer exposed
-HP: 100/300
Ann panted on the ground, the pain was gone, but her body still felt very sore, she went unconscious immediately after. her face blissfully happy.

Percival attempted to stand up, staggering to a knee. -Can’t stand, at least not yet.- He admitted, between heavy breathing. His body, from tip to toe, felt like an open wound somebody threw salt in. -Still this is nothing, I got hit by a cannon ball during the Napoleonic wars…- He made a dramatic pause and finally added. -In the face, it took 5 years for it to properly heal, and then I spent the first half of the 19th Century using a mask and fighting damned bloodsuckers in Paris.- If Gianni knew his Napoleonic Hidden World tales he might have heard about “Le Rouge Fantôme” an enigmatic figure who roamed the rooftops of Paris fighting a small scale Vampiric Invasion that ended up serving as a partial source for Dracula, by Bram Stoker. Percival was still trying to deflect attention to his previous actions, as he basically did what he told Ann not to do. He was trying to remember another interesting history tidbit to keep Gianni distracted, but the Virtual Warrior’s screams of pain managed to get his attention.
With clear strain and pain he moved towards Ann, picking her up from the floor, putting his arm behind her back, grabbing her shoulder, trying to see what was happening. -Ann are you okay? What’s wrong?- He asked as she screamed and convulsed thanks to the jolts of pain coursing her body. The Old Knight face was stricken with grief and pain, seeing another companion die, tears almost clouded his eyes, until he saw her wounds burning up close. His own blood was now more present on her than her own, as the damage she received was burnt away by her powers. Percival smiled, relieved, mimicked her smile, his eyes were still shining with contained tears as he finally looked away inspecting the room, trying to hide his tears. This had been a very taxing mission for him, both physically and emotionally, maybe it was time to take a vacation after this one, he had more than enough money saved, he tended to take missions to check the miniscule chance of meeting somebody worthy to enough to carry his burden.
-We really need to get the hell out of dodge, or this place will kill us all, immortality or not.- He added with utmost gravity on his tone, while he tried to guess what to do in this room. He was still bleeding from his wounds, but he didn’t care as much about the pain as he did, let’s say 1000 years ago, he had become a bit numb to physical pain, as the emotional scars he carried ran deeper than any physical wound he ever got, even the really grievous ones. -I hope we can rest for a bit before falling in another dead trap.- He hoped beyond all hope that this room was less deadly than the others, but soon enough the group might realize that wasn’t the case.

“The Napoleonic Wars! Did you ever see him!? I suppose you probably wouldn’t, being Bri--Ann!” Gianni ran back over to Ann when she collapsed, but skidded to a stop when she started thrashing. He just stared in helpless horror until she lay still, crooked arm now straight and blood no longer soaking the makeshift bandages Gianni had given her. He felt queasy at the process, but he couldn’t argue with the results. With hollow eyes, he collapsed.
“We need to rest. I can’t produce more than a few inches of thread and I have no idea when Ann will wake up, let alone your injuries from fighting the jiangshi.” Gianni turned his gaze from the ceiling to scowl at Percival. “You can’t do that again. I’m not letting anybody throw away their life here. Tombs are already places of death. They don’t need more bodies.” A sneaky spy of a smile crept into one corner of his mouth. “Besides, if you die in here, you’ll mess up the archaeological context. We can have that.” His eyes drifted to Percival’s canteen and a more serious expression returned.
“Can other people drink from that? Maybe we can get Ann and I running again and get to work getting out of here.” Percival glanced at the door on the other side of the room, so great a truck could be driven through it. He doubted only safety and fun times lay on the other side. The great black door was like a tombstone set in the wall, and Gianni feared it might be theirs if they weren’t careful. Whether it was traps, jiangshi, or the people from the truck so far away now, he felt danger emanating from the room on the other side in a sickly black wave.

-Condition Stable-
-Rebooting-
Ann was shocked one more time by the VM giving the visual look as if she had been struck by a defibrillator, this time she simply coughed and gasped for air, she grabbed onto something, it was Percival's arm
"Percival?! are you ok?!!" she saw as the knight was covered in blood, Ann immediately got up to help him out
"please try to sit down, we all need to rest!"
-Mission status update: mission complete-
-Info on game packs updated -1000 exp points awarded -Far cry 3 pack full unlock
-Mission update: escape from the designated area-
"What?! I'm done? Percival! Gianni! I've completed my mission!" she said in an excited tone, she then remembered Gianni wasn't exactly ok either.
"Gianni is your shoulder ok now?! do you need still need help?" she told him concerned, Ann witnessed the new room, the large door reminded her of a boss room
"what do you guys think might be behind that door? and those mills, perhaps those are the mechanisms that can open the door?

Percival, sitting, barely keeping his consciousness afloat, looked around the room, trying to make heads or tails about the room. Maybe it was the blood loss, but he couldn’t understand what they were supposed to do. His deep thinking was interrupted, though, by Gianni’s question. -Eh?- At first he didn’t caught what he was asking. He quickly realized what the Arachnid Archaeologist asked and lowered his head, sighing. -You can drink from it, but there is a catch, no magic this powerful can exist without one.- Percival pulled the canteen out from his coat, placing it on the floor in front of Gianni. -This can cure all your wounds, extends your life and maybe even shave a couple of years out of your current age, but the cost is too great.- He lowered his head again, as he knew that revealing this information might be a dealbreaker, but at this point it was something he needed to say, just to stop them from taking the canteen. -I mentioned before that this Grail was created by the combined efforts of Celtic Druids and Catholic Mystics, but not only their effort got into it, their souls also ended up inside it.-
With deliberate slowness Percival opened the canteen and from inside small specks of green and golden light slowly climbed through the vapors coming out of the liquid. -Each time I drink I slowly consume one of those souls, knowing that once I actually die, after handing this to the proper guardian, and then actually die, I’ll join in with them and return all the energy I took from it.- He pointed at Ann and Gianni. -Both of you could drink and end up better than you’ve ever been, but you would be inexorably linked to the Grail and your souls would end up becoming fuel for it.- His eyes avoided making contact with theirs, almost as if he was hiding something. He nervously scratched the back of his head, creating an awkward silence as he did. -I could use the Oil I carry to stop the bleeding, but it would only be a temporary solution, it was blessed by an actual Saint and I can perform minor miracles with it, nothing too fancy, most of the spells I perform channel the ancient arcane knowledge of the druids and mystics.-
-So I hope you don’t pick the canteen, I had to use it 3 times across all my lifetime to save the lives of people who would have died if I hadn’t interceded… but I might have doomed them to a fate worse than death by doing so.- Percival looked as if he was about to burst into tears, remembering the lives he so recklessly saved without thinking of the consequences. He waved from side to side for a moment, trying to add something but he collapsed mid sentence, turning into a series of mumbling. He had been explaining this over a puddle of his own blood. He fell face first into the ground and his body started convulsing. As if it was pulled by invisible strings his arm started moving, grasping the canteen. He suddenly turned on his back, as if he had been violently kicked. His arm started flexing towards his mouth, forcefully attempting to make him drink the content of the Grail. But as this happened his other hand grasped the wrist of the moving hand and started pulling it out of the way.
Pained whispers came out from Percival’s mouth. -No… not again… no… I…- He grunted, struggling to fight the invisible force moving his body, tensing his muscles to lock them in place. -I want to die… let me… die…- Clearly this wasn’t the first time he attempted to stop this from happening but it seemed as if he was fighting a losing battle.
