Martha stared at Eve's limp form for a second. A moment passed before she nodded and slumped to the window. She stared into space, obviously lost in thought. Luckily for Arthur, Eve's innards were very simple. The organs were alien, but not of interest. The mechanics were a separate shell, the problem obvious. The grenade causing the problem was lodged in a hole punched through the edge of some sort of magazine attached to the inside of her armor, wires exposed and instability obvious.

When Arthur saw what seemed to be the most significant problem, he let out an sigh. Exposed wires which he had no idea what they did. A grenade lodged into a magazine in a really precarious position. And everything seemed all around unstable. He would say this seemed more like a job for a surgeon, but moving anything here could easily result in an explosion. An explosion that would probably involve fire if Arthur's previous experiences with Eve's grenades were anything to go by.
He considered his situation and his options. After a bit of pondering, he gave up on taking a long way which relied on his skills. It was too dangerous. He simply cheated by using his time powers to remove the grenade without disturbing any other parts. Only after he removed it did he realize just how lucky he, and especially Eve, was lucky when it didn't explode already. In fact, just to be on the safe side, he removed all of the grenades.
Having finished that, all that remained was making sure she doesn't die from damage to her more biological parts. Hopefully using a healing spell to fix that wouldn't result in her waking up. Usually it doesn't, but who knows what kind of mechanisms for regulating sleep her mechanical body had! Ah, but if she has so many organic things in her body already, her brain is probably normal, too.

Arthur's guess of a normal brain was utterly inaccurate, but Eve did not rise regardless. It was hard to tell exactly what changed with Eve's plastic biology, but she seemed fine. "Are you done? He's stirring." Martha stepped back into sight, absentmindedly rubbing the new scar on her stomach, a thick pink line wiggling across her white skin.

"Yeah, I'm done. Let's get out of here. And I know the perfect way to do it!" Arthur jumped through the hole in the roof and waited to Martha before patching it up with time magic. "Okay, follow me!" He ran towards the edge and when he got to it, he kept going. He was threading on ice now and suddenly slipped. The ice formed a slide that kept appearing before him the further down he got and it stayed there, waiting for Martha.

Martha took the jump with ease, landing on top of the roof. She took one look at the ice slide and took another jump down, shaking her head at Arthur when she landed. "I'm in shorts! Do you want me to freeze my ass?" She asked, giving him a little glare.

Arthur looked at Martha's shorts and then back up. Blink blink. "Oh, he he." He laughed nervously. "Sorry, sometimes I forget that everyone else can feel cold at much higher temperatures." The ice slide faded out of existence.
"As an apology, I offer to buy ice cream! And we can ask Ariana to join us and call it a celebration for a job done... Well enough. I wish I got some information out of her..." And I'm also not sure if helping her stay alive was a good thing, he thought. She wasn't going to stop trying to kill Ariana. Perhaps not killing Eve was going against what he stood for. But for some reason he thought he couldn't kill her permanently even if he tried.

"Yeah, keep it in mind. I hate the cold." Her annoyed expression lit up with a childish smile. "But not ice cream. And yeah, I'd love to see her." Her chest swelled with pride. Was this what heroes felt like? Ice cream and hanging out with children? She thought she understood. She would be a hero, just like Arthur. She looked at him with admiration.

"Right. I'll just take a second." Arthur said, pulling out his phone.
FIVE MINUTES LATER
"...see you soon!" After he managed to convince Warden to bring Ariana to the Cromwells favorite ice cream parlour, Arthur called Loveline and got her and Hazel to come, too. Martha surely wouldn't mind.
"Right, let's go!" Arthur said and started leading Martha the right way. Later, he would ask her for her phone number. He could use someone like her if he ever had to punish someone like this again.
