Eve smiled as she sat up. "Revenge? You mean I offed her?" It was a hollow grin. "I can't tell you why she's a threat. But if she's alive, do her a favor and put your pretty little sword through her neck next time you see her." Eve was ignoring Huntsman's bizarre behavior. "Ariana we can't do anything about. Marika we can! Let's cut HER up!" He declared. "Yeah! Wait, fuck, I can't tell you where she is!" Marika spoke from Huntsman's jaws. "On topic, please. Your petty grudges are, well, petty." Eve kept her eyes on Arthur regardless of who she was speaking to.

"If you'd 'offed' her, you wouldn't be talking right now." The clone said. Arthur floated down a bit with his set up, closer to Eve. "Yes, you can tell me why you see her as a threat. If you don't, we'll just have to pick up from where we left off a minute ago until you're ready to talk."
"We can't attack a kid without a good enough reason, such as that child threatening the lives of other children. If you believe killing her is for the best, we should be allowed to know your reason." The clone kept playing the role of the good cop.
"And if it's a shitty reason, you're going to die right here and in the following ten minutes." Arthur kept playing the role of the violent maniac.

"I can't tell you. I told you I can't already. There's not a single person on the planet I can tell, not even the people who know already." Eve's smile was vanishing swiftly. "No, I think you shouldn't threaten me. You have no idea the disadvantage you're at. This is my roof, and Huntsman has your little girl." She stood, shaking the ice off. "And I've not even begun to fight!"

"I think you're just overestimating your advantage." Arthur wasn't worried about Martha. He knew that at the slightest hint of danger, his clone would stop time and get her out unhurt. That would provide him with an opportunity to smirk and gloat smugly about how she has no idea who she picked a fight with. Oh what fun that would be. But he also knew that his clone was playing the good cop and wouldn't let that event happen if he could. "Plus, as I told you already, I'm going easy on you. I haven't started fighting yet, either. And if you won't tell me..."
"Shut up, Arthur! It's obvious that she doesn't not want to tell us. She can't tell us." The clone sighed. "So Eve, why don't we have a civilized discussion where you can give us hints? I'm great at word associations. Or you could at least tell us why you can't tell us."
"And to make it even more civilized, I suggest telling Huntsman to let go of Martha. I don't think you could call her position civilized."

"Oh congraaaaaatulations, you figured it out." Eve sarcastically clapped. "But you're still as wrong as a drunk philosopher if you think I'm going to talk to you after all you've done!" Eve slid her foot back in a strange hum filled the air. A stomp flipped up a piece of the roof, exposing a row of miniature missile launchers. "Like I said, this is my roof. And it's where I test the stuff too dangerous for indoors. A good anti-air weapon should do you some good, flyboy." Huntsman vanished over the edge and Eve tapped a button on the side of the launchers with her foot. In a flurry of fire and smoke, 20 missiles exploded from their resting place in a twisted hunt for Arthur.

"Flyboy?" The improvised bar turned back into wings. "Don't insult me. I'm much faster then a plane." Arthur waited until the last second before flying up to avoid the missiles so he could show off his speed. Unfortunately, the missiles followed him. He shielded himself with one of his wings and it was shattered, sending him into a spinning nosedive through shrapnel. Another missile came at him and he protected himself with the other wing. More shrapnel pierced his now bloody face.
"Well then... I should've seen that coming." He said, still falling. He quickly recreated his wings and flew towards Eve with Accel End in hand, masterfully avoiding the missiles still coming for him and outspeeding those that turned around to chase him.
"Now, let's see what happens when you fire heat-seeking missiles at an ice mage!" When he got close, he encased himself in ice and changed direction. With Arthur's body heat covered up, the missiles should go after the nearest heat producing target which just so happened to be Eve. ------------- Arthur clone followed Huntsman off the edge, running down the wall to catch up. "Let Martha go, Huntsman! Arthur will take care of Eve soon and you don't want us angry when we're not busy with her."

Eve looked amused when the missiles came for her. A simple change in position and they flew by. "You think I'd keep my body temperature while firing heat seeking missiles? You think I'm as dumb as YOU?" Eve had used the time Arthur spent getting chased to tap another button. The 5 remaining missiles were already banking to find Arthur again. "My babies here have a special feature. They can see you and they love you. They'll follow you everywhere until they can give you a little kiss."
___
Huntsman bound Martha in tendrils and slurped her down his gaping throat before making a few sickening twists to get into a more upright position. "Not a chance. I'm not letting one of them escape. Good luck beating me without hurting her by the way." Huntsman swiped a gooey arm, throwing off droplets of acid at the clone's eyes.

Arthur quickly dispelled the ice he encased himself and did an Immelmann turn to avoid the missiles while turning around to fly towards Eve again. "I think they're too young for me! Maybe they should kiss their mother first!" He wanted to hit her with her own missiles, although it had less to do with strategy now then it did with pride since he failed the first time.
He threw a two frostballs which would approach her from each side and which would freeze her chest and feet if they hit. And if she decided to dodge backwards, she would trip over a small wall that Arthur sneakily placed behind her. Whatever happens, Arthur will try to grab Eve and use her as a shield against the missiles. Sure he would get hurt from that too, but self-preservation be damned!
----
The clone prepared a frostball to throw at Huntsman's legs. When Huntsman flung acid at him, Arthur moved his head to the side. The droplets missed his eyes, but a couple still landed on his cheek and he winced just as he threw the ball. The ball flew past Huntsman and froze the ground a few feet behind him. Not what he was aiming for, but something he could use. A wall of ice appeared in front of him and moved toward Huntsman to push him onto the ice and hopefully knock him off his feet. At the same time, it would proved cover for Arthur to use his superior mobility to get behind Huntsman and try to cut off his head.
He hoped this would let him reverse the roles from Little Red Riding Hood and have the wolf cut open the hunter's stomach to release the girl! He did not care that this wouldn't make sense to anyone who could hear his thoughts.

Eve glanced to the sides when the frostballs closed in. She couldn't stay here, and backing up wouldn't work great... looked like it was time for a sacrifice. She lunged forward to grab Arthur and slam into the missiles with him. This wouldn't be fun, but it would hurt him more, so it had to be worth it The monster swept his acidic hand through the ice when it reached him, only to Arthur missing. He spun his head 180 to see Arthur behind, making an attempt to remove his cranium. It wasn't in time to dodge, but his body reacted in its own way. His flying head flattened out into a flying thing shaped like a flatfish and dove at Arthur's back, attempting to burrow in with his vertical jaws. A thick tongue wiggled from his neck stump and his huge body spun to lash Arthur with it as it became a flail, with a spiky ball of bone at the end.

So they both had the same idea. Eve and Arthur grappled for supremacy. Arthur was stronger, but Eve was heavier then he expected. Regardless of who won the grapple, the missiles eventually reached their mark. The roof of the building collapsed and the two of them fell down onto the hopefully vacant top floor. ------- The sharp teeth burrowed into Arthur's skin. "Gah!" While he reflexively tried to grab Huntsman's head and pull it out, the flail tongue struck him in the side and sent him flying. "Oh, you want me to get angry don't you?" Using Frost Wrap on his hand, he grabbed the creature on his back and it froze. He ripped it straight out, along with a decent chunk of his back. "Aaargh!" He screamed. "That bloody hurt. If Martha wasn't inside of you right now..." He crushed the frozen creature in his hand and threw away the chunks.
Arthur rushed forward and swung his sword at the tongue flail. At the same time, an ice gauntlet with sharped fingertips formed around his other arm and he attempted to plunge it into Huntsman's chest. Through Huntsman's chest. He wanted to push Martha out, or pull her out if that failed, so he could go all out. Or better yet, not have a reason to fight anymore so he could go assist Arthur up above. He did not like the sound of that explosion.

Eve heavily crashed into Arthur in midair, instantly feeling the strength in his body. With a yelp, she was flipped over him, straight into the path of the rockets. She had an instant with her thoughts before they struck. She couldn't avoid them, and the worse end of this exchange was certainly hers. But she could recover faster. After all, he didn't have any metal around his organs. Maybe she could OHGODOW!
Eve was slammed face first into her roof, back erupting in fire and force. The roof cracked beneath her and she barely noticed as she fell into her office. Her organs may be defended by metal, but when it got blasted into her chest cavity, that didn't help. The stir in her chest told her it was even worse. Her grenades were damaged by the crash. Another good shot to the chest could set them off. Even she couldn't take that and keep fighting. Gasping and wheezing, she drug herself to her feet, fixing her eyes on her wrecked ceiling, ready for Arthur to follow, however badly it went.
Arthur's removed flesh became one with Huntsman , part of a mass of tentacles that the flatfish he held started to become, wrapping tendrils around his hands and trying to tear the flesh from his arm. A grin forming on Huntsman's face vanished when the smaller body was frozen solid and shattered. Annoying. A new head, all mandibles and spines, erupted from his back and began to fold forward just as Arthur did a swinging charge, leaving Huntsman's tongue flailing behind him. Huntsman roared and outstretched his arms, sprouting talons directly from the palms by letting his finger bones rip free. Arthur stepped right into range and he swung them in to pierce him in every vital spot. They whistled through the air in a terrible crescendo.
Then the icy claws pierced. Chill passed through him in a wave, body frosting over. His talons halted inches away from Arthur on both sides. With what seemed like a dramatic delay, his abdomen cracked and shattered, chunks tumbling back, including a silent, still teenage girl, dripping with at least an inch of slime coating her entire body. Like everything else connected to Huntsman, even the sludge seemed alive, rippling and slithering over her frozen form.

Before she fell through the roof, Eve slammed into Arthur and he made a hole of his own in the roof. As if landing on jagged debris wasn't enough, a part of the roof fell on top of him, crushing a rib or two and pushing him harder into the rocks. He grit his teeth and pushed the collapsed roof off of himself then rolled over. Pieces of the roof were still stuck in his back and the dislocated ribs made pain wash over his chest every time he took anything more then a shallow breath.
He somehow got up to see that Eve wasn't in a much better condition. "You know... We could've... Done this much... Much more easily... Much less painfully... If you just... Gave up... At the start." His words were broken up by pained gasps. "Now... We're... At a stalemate. Wanna just... Let me... Kick you out the window... And then... We can both... Just go home?"
"Too slow." Arthur smirked and pushed Martha out of Huntsman. He took her hand and froze the sludge she was covered in. The sludge shattered and Arthur helped Martha up. "You okay?"

Eve looked Arthur in the eyes and smiled. "I am home. In a home you fucking wrecked. You're not leaving till you pay for it!" She took a stumbling step forward and tripped, caught herself on the desk and tried again, falling anyway. She clutched at the ground, grasped for air, nothing meaning progress. Her head spun, her vision danced. Her rattling breaths seemed so unnaturally loud, echoing in her ears. There was just a futile desperation and rage to drive her now, but that hardly mattered when the room was so big and she already couldn't see where she was supposed to go. "Guh... you fucker..." She spat blood and shrapnel. It landed limply just below her lips. "Tell Ariana I'm sorry... especially since I'm gonna kill a guy she likes. And... her." Eve went still, body relaxing in a way only the unconscious could.
Huntsman remained still in his frozen state. He was unharmed, but it would take him quite a while to recover from a deep freeze. Behind this statue, Martha stirred. The slimy girl sat up, only for her eyes to bug wide for a second before she turned over on her hands and knees and puked. The slime of Huntsman's stomach poured from her own, along with her own breakfast. She kept retching long after she was clear, but eventually it stopped and she quivered. "Fine... I'm fine!" She managed to push herself to her feet, but her body looked limp. "What the fuck just happened? Did we get her?" Even with her hair spikes drowned and her punk attire soaked, her eyes retained their fire.

"You know, I think you're better off completely forgetting what just happened. And I think a shower might help with that." Arthur said. "As for getting her, I don't know. I was just about to go check. Let's go tog-"
"Hey guys!" Arthur's voice came from above. His head was sticking out of a window on the top floor. "You might wanna come up here! Unless you want to catch a few tons of scrap metal! Although I think Eve might explode if you miss, so..."

Martha grumbled something under her breath and started planning a way to get to her room without Marika noticing the state of her clothing. She had been through enough already. She didn't need whatever Marika would do. Arthur's voice from above above distracted her. "How do you do that anyway?" She asked the Arthur besides her. She doubted she could copy it, but if she could maybe she wouldn't get her ass kicked so badly next time.
It didn't take too much effort for her to make the leap into the second story window. All it took was a glance down the stairs to see Eve's battered body. "Did... did we kill her!?" Martha looked sick again. She often had fantasies of killing Marika, but it was different to actually do it. She stumbled back, holding her mouth and leaning out the window just in case.

"Magic." Arthur told Martha when they entered the room through the window. "And that's not all I can do. Observe." He pointed to the original Arthur who restored his burnt and torn clothes, having healed himself up by now. "Uh, what are you guys talking about?" He asked.
"Oh nothing. See ya later." The clone turned into blue energy and disappeared, the only sign of his previous existence being a distortion in the air which slowly faded away.
"Anyway... No, she's still alive. I'm pretty sure. I don't know if or how long she'll live like this though... But repairing her after punishing her... Especially with how much trouble she was... I don't know if it's worth it."

Martha groaned. Why did it have to be so hard? She couldn't kill an unconscious enemy, but leaving her alive to seek revenge and make another attempt on a child's life was just as unacceptable. The black and white she saw were running together into grey, and it boiled her blood. "FUCK!" She shouted, pacing back and forth, leaving little smears on the floor. "I... fuck. We have to help her, don't we?" She gave Arthur a dejected look, shoulders slumping, before she realized her position and corrected back into a defiant pillar of strength.

"I have a feeling she'll be okay whether we help her out or not. Plus, she didn't give me a lot of reasons to help her out." His hand moved to protect his private parts automatically when he remembered the stabkick. He shuddered. "So the real question is... Do you want to be a hero, Martha?"

Martha stood proud and puffed out her chest. "Hell yeah! I just... don't know what a hero would do." She deflated a little and for a second Arthur could see a confused and uncertain teenager.

She wants be a hero but doesn't know how? Interesting. "There's no set way a hero would act, Martha. Some finish off the bad guy to protect others, some save even the villain and some just walk away. You're gonna have to decide which kind of hero you want to be. But to spare your conscience, I'll give you a freebie this time. I'll see if I can stabilize her and you look out the window in case Huntsman recovers. We may as well leave if he starts coming this way." Even if Eve's construction proves alien, Arthur could at least make sure she doesn't explode. Huntsman probably knows how to repair her properly.
