A small figure jumped through the rooftops as she was being chased by multiple people.
"HWIC, freeze!"-They called, but the girl would not stop.
Right as they fired at her, the girl hopped down the building, attaching treads to the metal stairs of the buildings, slowing down her fall just enough for her to land safely on the ground. with one turn onto the next alley, she was gone.
The woman kept moving until she finally felt she was safe and took out a small leather bag out of her pocket, which then proceeded to empty. a shiny stone landed on her palm.
"Finally, I have it back!"-She claimed with excitement.
Haruko Miyata headed to a rather large mansion in the outskirts of Paris. The Seamstress Guild, once the pride and reference point of many adventurers and hunters had been outlawed, its members persecuted as the HWIC turned all the HW operations into a monopoly. With Cyrus at the head of the organization, the HW slowly became a corporate dystopia, and with it, the governments of the world followed.
The Seamstress guild was officially no more, but that wouldn’t stop its members from fighting back. Haruko walked up to Miranda’s desk and set the stone right in front of her teacher.
“Alright, this should be the last one. soooo...can I finally know what you are gonna do with them now? Arthur said Love and Ariana weren’t so thrilled about handing over theirs”
Miranda smiled as she examined the stone with a set of tweezers
“Yes, I believe it’s time to finish my work. Follow me”
Miranda guided Haruko through a trapdoor that led to an underground room. She had set up shop away from prying eyes and had clearly been working on something. Haruko set the stone next to its similars: Opal, Sapphire, Garnet, Ruby, Diamond.
The seamstress began weaving threads to the best of her ability, working as fast as she could. At that same time, a noise was heard outside.
“I believe you were followed. You need to stall for time, go”-Miranda commanded Haruko and she bolted into action.
The first agent she came across was stabbed on the back by one of her knives as she kicked the man towards the next one, she moved just at the right speed to avoid getting caught by the gunfire, more HWIC trucks began to line up outside as agents with actual powers arrived. Haruko knew she didn’t have nearly enough time. As she finished with the last of agents inside, a commotion was happening outside. The small seamstress peaked out of the blinds of the house and saw the cars parked outside, but none of the people. A figure entered through the main door and caught Haruko’s kick right in the air.
“Whoa, no need to be so hasty!”-The man said as he let go of Haruko
“Arty?! But I thought you were in jail!”
Akane walked from behind and tilted her head with a smile at the sight of Haruko. Ah, she was so cute in this world as well! She cleared her throat before speaking
“He’s not the Arthur you know, but we are still your friends. Haruko, we don’t really have much time. To put it in a few words, we need you to help us save our worlds”
Akane began to explain what that entailed, but Haruko was not having it, she had her own fight here. It was at that moment where Akane offered her help to her.
“These mercenaries Cyrus has, they might be too strong for you to take on alone. but if we get the sacred treasures, we can bring the fight to them. If Cyrus falls, your world has a shot at change”
“Alright...I’ll take my chances and join you, all I need is for miranda t-”
A loud noise was heard outside, it was almost like a meteor landed just a few meters away from the mansion. Haruko, Arthur and Akane walked outside only to be greeted by a tall man with long red hair.
"Looks like they already sent out their big guns... Arthur and I will deal with this while you get ready…”
Miranda walked right from behind them and set her hand on Haruko’s shoulder.
“I will be the one to stall for time now. Here, this is yours now”-She said as she handed over a small box and a pouch holding the gems to her protege.
“This...is my swan song. May it help you save this and many other worlds”
Akane and Arthur nodded as they both grabbed Haruko and fled.
“MIRANDA!!!”
In the blink of an eye, all three were gone. By the time they stopped moving, they were already in another country.
“Believe in your teacher, Haruko. If we execute this plan well, we will be back next week. We’ll save her and everyone, you have our promise”
“Now, let us go to the next world!”
