The year is 2021, and the Mage Association is finally able to begin the conflict that will grant them anything their heart desires; The Holy Grail War. 7 Masters are chosen as representatives of 7 core classes, and must battle each other until only one remains. Helping these monsters are tremendously powerful beings known as Servants, beings from another dimension that have power far exceeding that of a mage. But unlike Grail wars in similar realities, the beings summoned have been drawn from a more familiar place. Vice Verse. Which team will survive to have their wish granted by the Grail? --- Rules: - Each team is told how many squares they can move each turn. Movement points can be unused if requested.
- Noble Phantasms have a 7 turn cooldown.
- Each Master is given 3 command seals. Seals are normally used to force a Servant to do any one action, but for purposes of this game, can also be used to heal the Servant or instantly use their Noble Phantasm. However, using a Noble Phantasm soon after a previous one is incredibly damaging on a Servant.
- A team is considered 'out' if the Master dies. If a Servant dies and the Master doesn't give up, they can attempt to aide other teams at the cost of their own safety. But they must have a contract with a Servant to win.
- Any unused player slots will be made by the DM and played randomly across the map. If a player gets knocked out, they will be offered one of these free teams to get back in the game until none remain.
- Alliances can be made or broken at the discretion of the Masters and Servants.
- Servants have all the current memories of any Servant they may encounter.
- Masters will be residents of this new universe and be submitted for approval in this thread. They will all be either humans or weak mages, and are subject to DM approval. Provide as much detail as possible, please!
- A map will be provided to each player showing the areas their team has explored. This map will be updated each turn when teams discover new areas, but discoveries by other teams won't be shown.
Teams:
Saber: Akane and Junji Archer: Akabane and Touko Lancer: Laura and Aimon Assassin: Anemone and Victor Rider: Cadence and Reiko Caster: Amelia and Albert Berserker: Mai and Fuji
Additional info will be provided at a future date. I hope everyone likes this new sort of RP style!

Albert Watts Albert wasn’t a mage. He wasn’t even aware that magic existed until, while answering a 9-1-1 call complaining about strange noises in an abandoned building, he ran into a hastily abandoned ritual that dumped a woman calling herself a “servant” in his care. He still doesn’t understand it, but he is now in a deadly game for the Holy Grail! Albert doesn’t have any magical ability, but he does have the resources of a (rookie) cop and knows how to use his pistol.

Name: Aimon Duritt Redfox Age: 24 Description: A young magus from a well-off English family notable for holding various position at different clocktower faculties for generations. Although Aimon was set on a path to extend his family's streak by becoming a lecturer, a career choice his parents encouraged, he quickly became disillusioned with the Clock Tower after enrolling. Though he had a natural affinity for the academic study of magecraft, something instilled into him by the strict homeschooling he received, he found most other aspects of the Clock Tower to be unbearable, most of all the politics and the pettiness of magus relations. Though he did not abandon his education or the resources the Clock Tower, he did decide to not pursue any further involvement or a position as a lecturer. He is someone who turned his back on magus society, but not necessarily the magus lifestyle as a whole, furthering magecraft and reaching the Root remains his primary goal in life. He is motivated by curiosity and the intrigue of the supernatural world. Mundane matters tend to be secondary to him, though he does sometimes manage to find amusement in the simplistic life and asperations of non-magi. Spending time apart from other magi has tempered his personality somewhere to the point where he isn't quite as sociopathic as most, yet by the standards of normal humans he can still come across as callous or aloof. His entrance into the Holy Grail War received tenuous from both his family and the Clock Tower, who seem him as an easily disposable representative in the conflict. Aimon's own motivations for entering the war are a bit different from what might assume given his goals. He does not believe the war to be a method of reaching the Root, and in fact even if it were he would not wish to pursue it as a legitimate path to Akasha. Rather he is more curious about the underpinnings of the ritual itself and is curious to the the "process" of the war unfold and hopes to write a definitive book on the nature of the ritual. He is also curious about what sort of magi might be attracted by the Holy Grail War and hopes to meet likeminded individuals. He is also excited about the potential of directly interacting with a Heroic Spirit. Capabilities: Aimon has extensive knowledge about the basics of magecraft. Though he has dabbled in Alchemy, Runes, Curses and the Flowing and Transference of Power, his forte lies in Astromancy. Having spent a while with the Animuspheres during his upbringing he is adept both at divination using the stars as well as more direct and immediate spells which use Astromancy as a basis. He pursues two paths, that of the Stella Major Claris and the Stella Minor Obscuris, two somewhat opposed approaches to Astromancy which are meant to compliment one another. The former uses the fame and accumulated history of established constellations, stars, their names, meanings and uses in magecraft throughout the ages for powerful spells and even grand scale rituals, while the latter is far more eclectic, providing flexibility and versatility by relying on the mystery and the lack of attachment unknown stars, star formations and clusters benefit from by not having ever been culturally relevant, giving Aimon the freedom to practically create his own personal branch of Astromancy based on his own readings of the stars, at the cost of the power and influence which is lost by not relying on established conventions. His crowning achievement in this field is the Ars Astralogia, a Mystic Code developed under the tutelage of the Animusphere head. It was a spherical construction with ethereal and malleable borders which functions not unlike an orrery, simulating various constellations and star formations based on the user's needs and wants. Rather than augmenting his toolkit with something new, it serves to enhance his magecraft. He posses a pair of Mystic Eyes.

Name: Reiko Kaneko Age: 10 History: Reiko wasn't meant to be her family's Master, but after her brother was injured in an a traffic accident a week before the grail war was supposed to start, she was thrust into the role. Reiko comes from a declining house whose magic ability had been decreasing over the generations, but Reiko was mysteriously born with a higher affinity. Her parents have warned Reiko that this may be one of the last chances to save their family line, but also instructed her to surrender if her life is in danger. Reiko wants to make her parents proud. Abilities: Still being young, Reiko has only been practicing with her sword for 2 years. But she is adept at casting healing spells, and minor elemental attacks channeled through multicolored cards she keeps in her dress pockets. Name: Victor Redfield Age: 38 History: Victor grew up in an unknown rural part of eastern Europe, where he discovered the horrors of the hidden creatures of the night at a young age. Several members of his village were mauled by a pack of werewolves, only stopped when the light of day came. It was at that point Victor decided to strike back. He ventured out into the cities and studied any book on the supernatural he could. He found instructors who taught Victor the various weaknesses of creatures, and how to exploit them. Within years, Victor managed to create his signature weapon; Nightrend. One half is made of pure silver to deal with werewolves, the other able to fit various attachments for most creatures he'd face. Through the years, Victor's name began to strike terror in the hidden societies that preyed upon humans, checking their own houses to make sure the hammer of justice wouldn't fall upon their heads. After breaking up a vampire mage's ritual, Victor learned of a peculiar phenomena called the Holy Grail War. He didn't understand what this meant, but decided to 'confiscate' the mage's ritual for his own. What's the harm in joining a game where the winner can shape the world as they know it? Abilities: Victor is physically fit, able to run around while holding his massive hammer with ease. He keeps various wards on his hammer to help redirect spells tossed at him, and attachment meant for monsters, but serve to hurt humans just as well.
