Inside a HWIC facility, located in the middle of Greenland….
Marvel Smith, dressed in his typical outfit, is overlooking over a few charts inside a massive lab. Standing within an open section, which is large enough to fit half a football field, he is directly in front of two massive metallic cylinders, each one being over 12 feet tall, and 6 feet wide. One cylinder is coated with a red paint and the other a blue paint. As he read the charts he begins to ask an assistant a few questions. After the assistant’s answers all his questions, she decides to ask her own question, “Would you like to grab-“ Smith’s phone rings. “Excuse me for a moment.” He quickly answers the call as he moves to a hologram keyboard and enters numerous codes of information. “…If thats what you need, then I’ll add another 3.2 billion to the budget.” At the end of the call, he turns his attention back to his assistant and says, “Now, what were you asking me?” The assistant shakes her head and replies, “It was nothing important sir.” Smith studies her for a second before saying “Very well."
His phone begins to glow, indicating he has a new message. Looking at his phone, he is not too surprise to see that it was from Chase. Without even bothering to read it, he knew that his alcoholic companion has arrived to receive his new armor. Looking at the clock, he could tell that he still has an hour before the demonstration. Enough time to properly greet his guest. After checking everything one more time to be sure everything is going to run as smoothly as possible, he proceeds to an elevator.
Chase waits impatiently in a lobby for Smith. As he sits in a chair, his mentor, Osamu, is standing on the far side of the room. Oddly enough, the giant man seems to be inspecting the air, almost as if he is searching for something. “What are you looking for? And more importantly, why are you even here?” asked Chase. His mentor ignores his questions as he continues his search for a bit longer, before a smile spreads across his gigantic face and he proclaims out-loud, “Good! She’s here!” HIs master vanishes from sight, leaving Chase a bit annoyed. “Well, I might as well make myself comfortable here.” His hand reaches inside his inner coat pocket and pulls out a flask.
Osamu reappears in a unique lab within the facility. A different lab from the one that Smith is using to contain his recent project. There appears to be only one individual in the lab at the moment, but she is the only person he needed to engage with today. For the reason of him being here is to see this tiny genius in front of him can give him any new insight on the spiritual corruption that is beginning to plague the world. “Hello!” he shouted with enough friendly force to shake the room a little. “Its been a while. Though, I suppose it has been longer since I have seen you, then you have seen me.” He starts to rub his own beard as he tries to figure out the math. “Maybe a bit more than a year for you, and about a ten years for me. Anyway, I hope you haven’t forgotten about me.”
A young boy with light brown hair and crystal blue eyes, is jogging in circles around a magnificent fountain. Each complete rotation around the fountain took the lad a split second to finish, which is rather impressive as the fountain is incredible massive. It is easily tall enough to rival the height of a modern skyscraper. Yet, what is most incredible is that the circumference of the area around the fountain, which the boy is jogging along, is a quarter of a mile in length. Though, the truly mind-blowing part of all this, is that the fountain and the area surrounding it has plenty of stores around. Where the lad is running in circles, only makes up the shopping district, which is only a small portion of the beautiful city he lives in.

The boy continues to jog with a big smile on his face. He didn’t have training session, nor did he have a mission for today. All that is on his schedule is that he is going to finally get to spend a day with his parents. He usually doesn’t get to see his parents, as they are far too busy people to ever get enough free time to spend it with their children. There are more days in a month, then the amount of days he can remember being with his father and or mother. Which has left their child rather unset with them. For what he really wants is just to spend time with them. So, when they told him a few months ago, how they planned to hang out on this date, one doesn’t need to imagine how excited he was when he woke up this morning and looked at the calendar a few seconds ago. As soon as he saw that today was the promise day, he jumped out of bed and started running out of pure excitement.
After running around the fountain a few times Looking down at his outfit, he realizes that he needs to change and get ready. Heading back to the castle, where he lives with his sister and various mentors, he quickly gets ready for the day. Once he finishes his preparations, he heads to his sister’s room and begins to knock on her door over and over again. “WAKE UP! WAKE UP! TODAY IS THE DAY! MOM AND DAD ARE COMING!” It should be noted, that the current time is 5 AM. And that the boy’s sister arrived rather late last night after returning from a rather difficult assignment. One that would probably require her to rest a little more than three hours from. Another point to make is that their parents are not planning to arrive until later in the afternoon.

Inside of the lab Osamu teleported into, the small singular person in there was peering through a microscope at a petri dish filled with various colonies of red and purple bacteria that dotted the clear plastic surface. Despite the overzealous introduction Osamu gave himself with the booming voice that shook the room, Iris paid no attention to him until a few seconds later, after she wrote down a few observations in a notebook resting on the lab counter. She quickly closes the book and looks at Osamu, giving a blank, half-hearted smile to the large man. "Hello. If my memory is correct...you were at the incident with the forest queen and her army. Fascinating creatures, they were." Remembering back to the time just after the invasion, Iris remembers all the samples she...borrowed, from the tree army and made many observations about their cellular structures and behavior.
"By your description...you have been staying in a location whose time moves slower relative to us. Care to enlighten me as to where this place is?"
---
After a few seconds of the boy's incessant knocking, the door to the room is thrown open to reveal a girl that looked only slightly older than the boy, with her long blond hair that went down to her ankles in a disheveled mess; clearly having just gotten out of bed. She wore a set of black pajama pants and shirt, her blue eyes now with a shade of red from being woken up. "Do you...EVEN KNOW WHAT TIME IT IS?!" The girl yells while glaring at her little brother. "Do you know when I got home last night? TWO IN THE MORNING! Ugh..." Closing her eyes for a few seconds, the sister places her right hand along the edge of her door frame for support. "What do you want? They aren't even coming until this afternoon."

The large monk moves closer to the microscope as he is finds the machinery to be utterly fascinating. As he tries to comprehend the research being conducted on the table he answers the researcher with sly smile, "I see..." Osamu turns and continues to speak, "Allow me to correct your assumption. I haven't been staying at one place since our last encounter, rather I have visited many worlds. Some where time is slower than here, others where time moves faster. And then there are ones where time is practically the same. So I just gave you a number that I figure would be a good average." He proceeds to move away from the table with the microscope and studies the other person a few seconds before adding, "Now, I could tell you about my adventures, but that isn't the purpose of our meeting." While trying to avoid discussing his recent whereabouts, he also attempts to pivot the conversation back to his reason for being here. "Did you happen to discover anything substantial."
The younger brother moves slightly backwards as his sister begins to yell at him. During his excitement he carelessly forgotten about his sister's mission yesterday and the time that their parents are coming back home. "Oh right..." He looks down and mumbles to himself, "I was hoping you would be a bit more excited..." His stomach begins to growl as well. The lad was so nervous at the idea of spending time with his parents today that he didn't even bother eating anything all day yesterday, and with his sister's recent rant his mind suddenly becomes aware of his empty stomach. "I want you to make me something to eat."

Staring at her petri dish, Iris takes in what Osamu had told her. So he was going between worlds, but for what reason? None of the nearby planets were habitable, so he must be visiting ones only accessible via magic. Holding up a notepad filled with notes, Iris looks up at Osamu. "As a matter of fact...yes." She plainly states, flipping through the notepad and to a page filled with seemingly incoherent scribbles. "I've discovered how to detect the corruption inside of the trees from earlier, the samples I found were quite fascinating. I am currently working on a cure, no estimate as of yet for when it will be finished. Is this why you decided to visit me in my humble lab, today?" She asks, seemingly more playful than before.
---
Looking on with a mix of annoyance and exhaustion, the girl continues to lean against the wall for support. "Look...I'll be more excited once I get some more sleep, Aaron. I'll call Harold over and he can make you breakfast, okay? I'm just too...freaking tired right now." The girl says, trying to sound less annoyed in front of her little brother. He was too hyperactive and carefree to care about the work she has to do...though with how long their parents are always gone for, she had to step up and take more responsibility along with their butler.
After taking out her cell phone and calling their butler, a middle-aged man wearing a dark blue suit appears in the hallway, bowing to the two of them as he approaches. "Masters Viola and Aaron, how are you two this splendid morning?" He asks, the man's voice having a refined tone to it. "Hey...can you make him something for breakfast? I am going to sleep for a few more hours, you know how late I got back last night." Viola tells Harold, the butler nodding in response. "Of course. Come along, master Aaron. Goodnight, master Viola." And with that, Viola steps back into her room and into bed, the butler leading Aaron toward the kitchen. "Now, what would you like for breakfast?"

"Exactly!" shouted Osamu as he is amazed at Iris's discovery. Giving her a heavy pat of the shoulder he begins to praise her, "I knew you were capable, but the fact that you are already working on a cure. A Cure! You exceed my expectations. A cleansing ritual of the highest degree is required to rid the corruption. Yet here you are seeking a permanent solution." This is going better than I could ever hope, he thought to himself. "So now that you can detect the corruption, can I trust that you and your organization can prevent anything similar to what happen with the forest lady?" He studied her carefully as he waits for an answer. Without a doubt it would be better for them to be able to take care of the corruption themselves. He can't afford to intervene too much, otherwise he could potentially risk exposing more threats to this world. And from his viewpoint this world can barely handle its current issues as it is.
"Waffles with chocolate chips!" replied Aaron. As he rushes towards the kitchen. "Also add some whip cream!' he yelled from the kitchen. He carefully sits down at the kitchen table, which is covered with a beautiful white table cloth with elaborate designs of thine gold lines that eventually twist and turn towards the center to form his family crest. Above his head, roughly 30 feet or so, is a marvelous chandelier that is made of white gold and glass. As the sun begins to rise higher into the sky the natural sunlight pierces through the large bay windows next to table and hits the chandelier. Causing the reflected light to paint the whole room with delightful layers of the most breathtaking colors. If this room contain nothing else besides the table, the chandelier, and the sunshine, the room would still be considered a masterpiece by most mundane house designers. Yet this mansion, and in fact a good portion of the whole town, was created by a genius of the hidden world. Though for the lad sitting at the table, the whole spectacular light show didn't mean much, as he knew that the electronics in this room are solar powered and that the chandelier serves as a magical enchantment for the light that powers them.
He looks outside to examine their mother's garden, which seem to contain every flower known to mankind and more. He begins to smile at the idea of spending time with his mom. Though he couldn't help but wonder why she always asks him which of her flowers is his favorite. He rather focus on their time together doing something besides paying special attention to the the plants. But so long as he gets to spend time with her he doesn't really care to complain too much. "I really hope they arrive soon," he whispered to himself.

The pat on the shoulders rocked the tiny scientist's body, Iris sighing to herself and finally turning to address Osamu directly. "I'm not one to make promises...but I will provide my findings to the appropriate people so they can try. I'm much too busy to watch the corruption myself, hm?" Iris cocked her head slightly at the last word, levitating into the air and crossing her legs over each other, studying her note pad. "You wouldn't happen to have any additional information...would you?" Her tone shifted to a slightly less cheerful one, staring directly at Osamu. She knew he had more information about what was going on, but was trying to be secretive for some reason.
---
"Of course, young master." Harold politely responds to Aaron, turning to the kitchen and beginning to make the waffle batter. The sweet smell of waffles filled with chocolate chips filled the kitchen and nearby rooms, only a few minutes pass before Aaron was given his plate of waffles. "Can I fetch you a drink, master Aaron?" The butler asks, already knowing the answer but has an obligation to ask anyway.
Some time later...
The alarm clock in Viola's room began to ring out a sharp ringing sound, stopped a minute later by the exhausted sister slamming her fist on the 'snooze' button. After rolling out of bed and getting dressed in an elegant blue dress, Viola makes her way downstairs to check and see where everyone in the house was. She knew that Harold was more than capable of watching her brother when she was away, but it was still good to see what was going on.
Making her way to the training ground, Viola opens the door to see if her brother was here or not.

Osamu shrugs his shoulder and shakes his head with a playful smile, "I know nothing else that can benefit you if thats what you mean," he said truthfully. He turns around and begins to walk away with a goodbye wave, "I'll see you later during the demonstration." And like that he vanishes. Iris might be disappointed by his response, but the old monk did not feel the need to share more information then is necessary. He could tell she is a curious one, and if he reveals too much, she could end up accidentally make things worse for him. And he has already enough things on his plate without adding more players to his game then he could handle.
While Viola is busy checking the training ground, her brother is practicing with his gadgets and spells on a beach a few miles away from the mansion. He wanted to be alone to think, and being so close to the ocean always has had a soothing affect on him. Yet even now he is too anxious by the prospect of his parent's visit, that even the relaxing sounds of the gentle waves and cool breeze did little to calm his nerves. Regardless of the butterflies in his stomach he continues to practice hard. He wanted to show his parents the progress he has made so far. Hoping to impress them so much that they finally let him go on missions like his sister. He never understood why they prevent him from going on any assignments. In fact, he hasn't even gotten permission to leave the island by himself yet.
"ITS NOT FAIR!" he remembered shouting at Harold when he was told his parents' decision last time he brought up the subject. "I'M STRONGER THAN MOST OF THEIR EMPLOYEES FOR FUCK'S SAKE!" he said angrily. He and his sister are extremely gifted individuals, and have been nurtured by some of the best teachers around the world to help them reach their full potential. And though they have been told time and time again to be humble about the privilege of their situation he couldn't understand the point. If you are better than other people, why do you have to pretend to hide that fact with bullshit modesty? But Harold was too busy disciplining him for cursing to have heard his opinion. "I just don't get it sis," he went on to compline to his sister later that night. "What do I have to do to prove to them that I'm not some little kid anymore?"
He couldn't recall what his sister said that night to him. Probably because whatever she told him didn't make him feel any better. Most likely it pissed him off. But that doesn't matter now. I'll show them. And when they see what I'm capable of, they will have no choice but to let me go on missions and adventures, he told himself. Yet, more importantly, he wanted his parents to be proud of him. And by working with them he will also get to spend more time with his mom and dad.

The training grounds appeared to be empty for the most part. Several stations were setup to practice a variety of skills, from simple dummies to practice on, to an obstacle course set up with several rising platforms to make the challenge more difficult. Viola knew that her brother liked to hang around this area...most likely wanting to prove himself by growing stronger using these training stations. She was different from her brother in a few key areas; Viola preferred to use magic and swordsmanship, while Aaron liked his gadgets and magic. Her trusty sword was kept in its sheathe on her side, just in case if she ever needed to use it when out and about.
After a few minutes of searching, Viola saw Aaron practicing on the nearby beach and began walking up to him. "Out here again I see. What are you practicing this time?" She asked, looking at what device he was currently using. While small talk wasn't her strongest suit...Viola figured it was her duty to make sure Aaron didn't feel isolated and slightly make up for her outburst when he woke her up this morning.

He ignore his sister for now as he needed to concentrate on this next practice shot. In his hand is a small metallic disk, which he throws like a miniature frisbee on rocket fuel towards the ocean. The strange looking device suddenly glows a soft blue before picking up speed and makes numerous maneuvers as it changes direction and elevation in quick succession. In a matter of seconds, the small metallic device breaks the sound barrier and disappears into the horizon at hypersonic speeds. From a normal person's perspective they wouldn't have been able to follow the disk as soon as it left Aaron's hands, but even now he could follow every motion with perfect clarity. The movements of the disk seem to be slowing down as he continue to follow its trajectory, even though the object's velocity continues to increase. He makes a gun gesture with his hand in a very similar fashion to one of his favorite anime protagonists. A tiny ball of magical energy soon materializes and hovers beside his index's finder. He takes a few seconds to adjust the angle of his arm as the disk continues to move side to side before shooting. He then turns to his sister and ask, "Just my aim," he lied as he walks up to her. "So when are mom and dad coming home?" he asked eagerly as he is looking forward to seeing them and showing off his skills. A moment later an explosion erupts over the ocean in the distance:

Aaron's display of power made Viola roll her eyes slightly at her brother. "Good aim...but it would be beneficial to use less power. A large explosion makes aiming somewhat trivial, you know?" She noted. "As for mom and dad...I believe sometime this afternoon, though I would have to ask Harold to confirm." Looking around the area, Viola could see that he had been training here for a while. How long did she sleep in? Missions that last into the night were horrible for her sleep schedule. "So, things going alright here? I will need you to come in around 1 and take a shower. Mom and dad don't want you sweaty when they come back." She said.

He shakes his head at his sister, "You really should stop swinging your sword so much, and learn more about gadgets." He reaches into his pocket and pulls out another disk. Aaron holds it up for his sister to see and proceeds to explain how it works, "The explosion is caused when my magic bullet hit the device. This thing is awesome because it won't blow up unless my magic specially hits it. Think of it like a finger scanner and fingerprints. It can tell my magic apart from another person. So if you were to hit it with pure magic, it wouldn't do anything, but if I hit it with my magic, it would explode like it did over the ocean. Trap inside the metal is..." He goes on to explain the specific magical elements and molecules that are trapped within the metallic disk as well as the small computer that operated the device.
As he explains it in greater detail he begins to talk faster and faster until he finally says,"...SO YOU SEE SISTER, I didn't cause the explosion by creating a powerful blast with pure magic, but rather I used my magic bullet as the ignition for the components inside the disk to create the explosion. That way I can conserve energy, but still deploy a powerful blast if I wanted to," he said full of pride in himself as he invented the device after reading one of his dad's secret research papers. "Hey, are you even listening to me?" he asked as he feels like he may have lost his sister's attention at some point during his explanation. -Well at least dad will appreciate my invention,- he thought.

Oh no...he had started to explain how his gadgets worked. It wasn't that she didn't care about these gadgets that he was passionate about...it was more that her interests were in the less mechanically-inclined fields. Business management, spellcrafting, swordsmanship, literature...all didn't involve having to learn about advanced physics. So when her brother started to explain his invention...Viola simply nodded her head as he talked and acted like she understood. "Yes, of course. You were explaining how the explosion happened after your magic bullet hit the device." She had assumed as much after his first sentence, and mostly tuned out the rest. "Well, I must work on some paperwork. Remember to be back before 1 so you can get ready." And with that, Viola turned around to leave with a little longer stride than normal. Being pulled into another explanation like that would probably take up another hour of her day, and she wasn't about to have that.

After his sister left, Aaron continues to train for another hour or so before calling it a day. At this point he is completely covered in his own sweat, and would definitely need to take a shower. Before leaving he takes one more look at the ocean. -Out there somewhere is a world waiting for me to explore- he thought to himself. -One day I'm going to discover it with my own eyes.- He reaches down into his pocket as if he is about to pull something out, but decides against it at the last second and takes his hand out of his pocket. Now empty-handed he simply chooses to walk home.
As he travels along the main road towards his house, nearby residents would greet him with friendly words and kind smiles. Everyone knew who the siblings were here, and for the most part it would annoy him whenever someone decides to go out of their way to say hi to him. "Greetings Aaron" said an elderly woman sitting in a dark brown wooden rocking chair. A small smile spreads across his face as he recognize the voice. "Hello Miss Green." He walks closer to the woman so that he can talk to her for a bit. Not everyone in this town annoyed him. In fact, over the years he has become friends with some of the residents. At least the ones that genuine want to get to know him.
As they converse he couldn't help but notice how tiny and fragile the eighty year old woman looked in her chair, especially when sitting next to her apartment building. Yet, she would have look even smaller if she would have accepted the bigger house his father had in mind for her. "MY goodness!," she chuckled as he finished explaining his new device to her. "I swear you are just like your father when he was your age." He is unsure if that comment was a compliment or not. "In a good way I hope," he said. She chuckled even more. A few seconds later and a gentlemen wearing all white scrubs emerge from the door behind her.
"Guess its already lunchtime," Miss green said as he can hear her caretaker coming out of the apartment. "You should go home and eat something yourself. You are a growing boy after all. Though I recommend you take a bath first." Her caretaker presses a small button on the side of her chair, which changes the appearance of her old fashion rocking chair into a comfortable egg shape wheelchair. The man gentle pushes her into the building while the sweet elderly woman waves Aaron goodbye. He stands there for a moment and waits to see that she gets inside. As she disappears behind the closing door he begins to walk down the road. Once home he heads straight to the bathroom.

The walk back was largely uneventful for Viola. Most people in town knew she was frequently busy, so they left her alone for the most part. People in general seemed to have a hard time approaching Viola; she always walked with a confident stride, her eyes had the determined expression her mother always wore, the blue and black dress she wore was clearly expensive and made people think she was a noble of some kind, and the sword on her side let people know she was armed should a threat arise.
Unlike her brother who looked forward to their parents coming back to visit...Viola didn't really care too much. Her life was filled with enough responsibilities to keep her busy most days, so she didn't necessarily feel the same amount of desire to see them as Aaron. It wasn't that she didn't care about them at all...more than Viola felt she could live life with or without them around, though talking with them was certainly an enjoyable activity most of the time. As she enters the mansion once more, the older sister sat down on a brown padded chair and crossed her legs, pulling out a laptop and beginning to check her emails. Hidden in her open applications was her current game of Civilization 8, currently 15 turns in and judging by Viola's current position on the map, she was preparing to invade the fledgling Roman nation blocking her current city's expansion.
