Jane's lip wobbled. "One of them was going to torture me!" She wailed, grabbing Haven for comfort. Martha, summoned by the sound of tears, leaned out from the kitchen. "Hey Jane. Want to help me cook?" She smiled, giving Jane something else to focus on. Jane, thrilled at the prospect of responsibility, ran in to help. Martha gave Haven a thumbs up and ducked back into the kitchen.
Yuu gagged when Ikari took the medal. She was no stranger to unpleasant smells, but this was beyond Patches or any combination of the scents the various dolls gave off. For a second she thought the monster before them was a trick of her watering eyes, but when she blinked, it became clear that it was a physical monster. Her hand went to the hilt of her sword before she realized it didn't seem aggressive. "What is that? What is going on? What are you dragging my family into!?" Each question came with more desperation and sadness. She couldn't help but feel like everything was spinning out of control once again.

Watching Alex create his wire sword, Sid lowered his right eyebrow slightly as the strange man began to explain how this one sword could slice through the Earth with just the force of gravity. If this sword worked in the way that Alex was describing, it would probably become more of a liability to use than the lazy martial artist would like. "Sorry dude, I'd rather not use something like that thing. If I get hit backwards, that thing is going to come flying back with me and slice right through my chest." He says, making a motion with his wrist going backwards, and pointing with his other hand where the sword would go if attached to his wrist. "'sides, ya need all your wires for your own fight, right?"
---
The foul stench coming from the summoning process made Cadence step back in disgust, clenching her nose shut until she manages to grow a layer of thick moss inside of it to block out the majority of smells coming through her nostrils. The creature itself utterly disgusted the plant doll; filled with toxic gas, covered in rusted pipes, and having a creepy face that was near impossible to tell the emotions of at a glance. Just what was this creature, and could she just get rid of it? Cadence already hated how humans are polluting the world, destroying many of the forests and plants she loves...but this creature seemed to embody all of those traits. What did that man call it...Industrial Poison? Was it somehow reading her mind, and taking its form from what she hated?
Reaching out, Cadence grabbed the chain and medal offered to her, focusing on keeping this monstrosity as far away from her as possible. The idea of this creature touching her body, let alone fusing with it, disgusted Cadence into choosing to keep it as it was; a mere thing to fight alongside her. Hopefully she wouldn't have to summon this...thing much. "...I want it to remain as it is. How do I summon it and make it disappear?" She asked, wanting to know how to make it go away when she was through with it.
---
Haven also gave a thumbs up back to Martha, glad that she managed to distract Jane from her sadness. How could they think to torture a defenseless person like Jane?! Now finished recovering, Haven sat down on the couch and turned on the TV, Ash happily plopping down beside Haven and leaning against the cushions. Glancing over to the doors, Haven looked with concern at Cadence's door. What was keeping her so long? Did they get into another fight? If they took much longer, he was going to go down there and see what was going on.

Ikari extended his hand, putting the medal on Cadence hand. –You just need to will it and it will obey you Green Hair. Use it well and use it smartly- The smile plastered on the Agent of Hatred lost part of the sinister aura it had before, turning almost paternal, almost as if teaching somebody about the medals was making him nostalgic about something. He patted Cadence head and walked away from her as he faced Yuu. The grim sensation flooding from his dangerously glowing eyes and smirk returned, even stronger than before after that inexplicable lapse on his killing intent. – That monster isn’t your business, is your sister’s.- Ikari walked towards Yuu, looking down on her, as if he was just seeing a child or even worse an animal. -Can you be a good dog check on your owner? I really don’t want to spend much more time around here, I have other missions to attend to.- The deep purple flames in his eyes flickered wildly. –And stop with the drama…- His predatory smirk vanished. –I hate drama.-
Just as Ikari gave Cadence the medal Goemon felt something, hint of recognition, as if somebody he met before was nearby. The Karate Star rushed outside, looking in the same direction Callis was observing from above. For an instant he could feel it, a ki he never thought he would feel again, but that feeling vanished as soon as it appeared and the Karate Star shook his head as he muttered. –Nah, it can’t be, that would be impossible. - But even if that feeling disappeared the Gainen presence was still there. Something must be done about it.
He heard Sid rejecting the sword made by Alex and faced the Lazy Kickmaster. –Renen, do you still have the medal?- The lack of a shining smile in Goemon’s face was clearly a sign he was being dead serious. –The one from Sakurajima do you still have it? - The Karate Star extended his hand, with the palm opened, expecting Sid to hand it over. –Give it here, because if the enemy plans to use a Gainen we have to fight fire with fire and I can’t use the one I have.- There was surely something peculiar behind Goemon’s word, something worth exploring, but the tone of urgency coming from the Karate Star clearly didn’t allow questions about it.
-Give me the medal and I will activate it, just like my Master taught me to. - The golden light of his Ki shone behind his eyes as he uttered those words.
Callis, still standing above the others, summoned one of his swords, which glowed even under the heavy snow. He felt as if it wanted to tell him something but he couldn’t understand it. The Beast Knight himself didn’t know how he got this power, after the events of Sakurajima he just woke up with it. The JHWAB medics theorized that his body, being from another world, changed in impossible ways after being exposed to the Gainen energy. But Callis didn’t believe that, a gut instinct told him that this power wasn’t given to him by chance and it had a purpose. He just needed to figure out which purpose. -What do you requiere of me?- He asked the glowing blade in a whisper that got lost under the whirling winds.

Alex walks over to the man, pulls on a single thread sticking out of numerous ones wrapped around his wrist, and as soon as he pulls on the small thread, the sword dissembles at once. The wire threads softly land on the ground, and he retrieves his threads with indifference as he carefully collects the threads back into his steampunk gloves. "Do what you want." he said a bit disappointed that he won't get to see his creation in action. One day he will need to find someone who has an incredible healing factor, or a durable enough armor, and is extremely foolish to test out his sword. Regardless, he will just have to survive this next trial in his life and move on to find such an ideal simpleton.
As his master mentions the medals, Jose closes his eyes for a moment to reflect his time on the Sakurajima. After he recalls the memory of his first encounter with the gainen medals, he starts to feel uneasy at the notation that they would have to face someone with a medal. Before allowing himself to panic, he decides to sit down and mediate. The first benefit of the behavior allows him to calm down, and the second is that his connection to the earth will help enhance his senses beyond even that of his KI detection skills. His mind pictures the surrounding area of the room and expands outwards to the outside world. All he could feel was the snow on the ground for a few seconds, but suddenly his terra radar reaches a spot where plants have emerged from the soil. He knew there could only be one person responsible behind the unnatural behavior and existence of those plants. He begins to concentrate around the area of the plants, blocking everything out until he could even get an impression of the weight of the individuals standing on the area. Yet he is shocked to discover missing numbers of their enemies. "Where did they go!?" asked Jose to no one in particular as he was too stunned to find out that their are some enemies unaccounted for.

"Cadence, if you're okay, I really should check on Marika." Yuu could feel the tone change when the edge of Ikari's smile vanished. If there was anybody she could trust to stay out here right now, it was Cadence. She stepped back into the kaspa, looking to Haven first. "How are you all?" The team was looking rough, even with the first aid kit of the kaspa doing its work. "Has Marika woke up?" She paused by the door to sheath more kunai. She wanted a full quiver right now.

"The medal? Uh...one sec..." Sid said as he began digging in his pockets, seeing if he brought it with him. "Phone...cash...pocket lint...got it!" He exclaimed, pulling out the small metallic disc that was the Impact Gainen medal. "Hasn't done anything though...but if ya can make it do somethin', that'd be great." And with that, Sid places the medal on his thumb and flicks it at Goemon in a wide arc, headed straight for the movie star's hands. Strange...he'd never seen Goemon without that goofy smile on his face. Were the other chicks really getting something that powerful?
---
Cadence grew annoyed at the head-patting, but remained her normal quiet self as Ikari moved onto Yuu. She immediately thought to remove the Gainen from the area, wanting it gone until she needed it to fight the others once more. Truthfully, Cadence enjoyed seeing this man talk down to Yuu, since that woman was the only one in the Kaspa who willingly defended Marika and kissed up to the psycho so much that she avoided any punishment that was dished out to the rest of them routinely. Perhaps with this creature...she could finally kill Marika without the mental blocks that stop any attack directed at her.
Once Yuu left, Cadence looked at Ikari, holding the medal between her middle and index fingers on her right hand. "...you mentioned breaking that thing's will...just what is that creature...? Can it die in battle...?" Even if it was vile to her, Cadence wasn't about to become Marika and send things out against their will to potentially die for her.
---
Great...Yuu was back. "Not yet. What's going on between Cadence and that other guy?" Haven asks, cutting straight to the point. He knew that someone as smart as Cadence was probably safe...but he was still worried about what that guy was trying to do with his sister.

Goemon snatched the medal in Mid-air with a swiping motion, closing his calloused fist around it. For a moment his eyes got filled with flames, but that passed as soon as it started, seemingly through the Karate Star’s effort. With a pained expression Goemon slowly placed the medal on the ground that started shining with volcanic red light. The Mighty Martial Artist exhaled and his eyes locked on Sid and Jose. –I now teach you what I was taught to me by my late master Ichigan Nagare, as it was taught to him by his master Reiji Fukuma. - Goemon took a traditional Karate stance, called Zenkutsu Dachi. Golden Ki slowly moved over his skin, like droplets of gold rolling towards his right fist. This was clearly taking a great deal of effort from the Karate Star, but his ferrous concentration was almost palpable. –My master told me about this in a whim, not thinking that in the future somebody might unlock the medals again for evil purposes.-
Goemon’s ki usually seemed flame-like in nature, but this time around, as it gathered, seemed like a stream of liquid gold, spinning around his hand, like a molten crown. –The medals hide inside of them the essence of the Gainen, the creatures we faced back in Sakurajima. - The Ki started to swirl faster, turning into a golden whirlpool ring. – The creatures inside, incapable of escaping pick humans who are attuned to their particular power, to try and escape, yet somebody with enough willpower can rein them in and utilize those powers while trapping the creatures inside of their bodies.- The Karate Star slowly closed his hand, popping the bones finger by finger, into a fist and the golden whirlpool stopped. –You defeated this monster back in the island, so it will accept your dominance, until it finds an opening on your defenses.- Goemon knew that Sid wasn’t the most determined individual, but in the current situation he might be the only one able to use one.
-I’ll now release the creature…- The Karate Star slightly shifted his stance, leaving his imprints on the floor as he barely slid his soles readjusting his position. –You must charge towards it Renen, nobody can help you, this is your choice and is your burden.- For a while the now stopped ring of liquid-like ki had been etching its way into Goemon’s arm, his veins shining with bright golden light. The Karate Star glared at Sid with utmost intensity. –Be strong Renen, be determined, be a man with the will to withstand the burden I’m about to impose on you…- Goemon only used this tone when explaining techniques to Jose while they trained in the mountains, this was the real Karate Star’s voice, not just the boisterous bruiser he was known as, but the passionate martial artist who knew the weight of power and the exercise of it. –Be all of that Sid, or we might not survive this night.-
And with those words he punched the medal creating a light tremor around them, shaking dust from the ceiling. A blast of blinding red light blasted out the medal in thousands of small rays and a powerful detonation preceded the physical manifestation of the creature Sid faced in Sakurajima, the humanoid creature with meteor-like skin, cracked and filled with hyper-heated rock. Meteor Impact landing caused another tremor and without a second of respite it charged directly at Sid, who was expected to do the same, if he trusted Goemon’s words.
Callis felt a twinge of pain on his chest, from one of the wounds he got in Sakurajima. He didn’t remember the wound, he thought it was from he went berserker fighting Sid, but really, the origin of this injury was different. Whatever power was left in him by Yami allowed him to feel the presence of the Gainen under him. The Beast Knight fell on his knee as images of a woman with golden hair and animal ears crossed his mind, a woman he never met, a woman that now he knew was in Japan.
-Who are you?- Callis whispered, the sound swallowed by the whirling winds, as his thoughts remained on the image his power showed him. The young woman with golden hair and fox ears.
-The creature is a Gainen, some call them demons, and others call them interdimensional entities. - Ikari closed his fist around his own medal and a burst of deep purple flames surged from in-between his fingers, forming a sinister wolf head. –I call them weapons… I call them power.- The Agent of Hatred summoned a flaming sword and with it he sliced down a tree with a perfect diagonal cut, the trunk sliding down until it crashed against the snowy ground behind him, slowly lighting up in similar flames. –They cannot die, at least not like you and me. But they can be destroyed.-
He raised his medal. –Thankfully this medal keeps them tied to this world, so the only thing that will happen to yours if somebody manages to diffuse its spectral form somehow. - His wolfish smile grew bigger. –And trust me, that’s difficult to accomplish. If that ever happened the Gainen would seek refuge on the medal, licking its wounds until is ready for another summoning. – Ikari snapped his fingers and all the flames suddenly went off, killing any light except for the dim radiance of the burnt wood, marbled with purple embers. –The Gainen is power, but is power you need to rein in and control.- His eyes slowly lighted up, creating a deep contrast with the shadows of the snowstorm, almost as deep as the purple of his flames.
-But this power can swallow you whole if you allow it, don’t you ever forget that Green Hair.- His calloused finger pointed at the Kaspa. –Now be a doll and check on your owner, I don’t want to stay in this place more than its needed, I have a very packed schedule this days, after this I have to go to Rome and deal with some annoying cultist…- He spat on the ground. –I hate those idiots in Trinity Gate, I don’t care how good their cybernetics are.-

Alex focus on the spectacular scenes occurring in front of him with a rather devilish smile on his face. He never heard of any information about the gainen before. Heck, he was ignorant of their very existence until now, but the thought of being able to capture or face off against such a dangerous being made his heart flutter in joy. Yet, at he studies the medal, a thought crosses his mind that the technology, or magic, required to capture one of this things would be beyond him. Still, he'll try to continue to keep his eyes and ears open to any potential possibles when it comes to the gainen. As he watches Goemon's demonstration, he was utterly fascinated when the creatures emerges.
While Sid was handing over his medal, Jose continues to try to keep track of their enemies whereabouts. -Another one disappeared!? How the hell are they doing that?- Yet before he could try to figure out anything, his mediation his ruined by the event happening near him. He turn his attention back to his master and sid in time to witness Goemon's explanation, the medal's activation, and the charging Gainen. Jose knew that Sid alone must deal with this, but he still didn't find the idea of someone facing against one of those creatures alone. He clutches his fist in frustration as he stands on the sidelines, unable to do anything for now.

"Hard to say. I want everybody who can still fight back out there with me. Jane, please watch Marika." Yuu stepped back outside, Martha limping from the kitchen to follow her. They and any other dolls who followed stepped out into the snow. Jane remained, sitting uncomfortably by the unconscious Marika.
In the snow, Yuu turned to Cadence. "You still alright? He didn't try anything?" She put a hand on the small doll's shoulder, keeping her eyes on Ikari. She may trust him more after his caring smile to Cadence, but it was still far from full trust.

The sudden light show coming from the medal made Sid step back slightly, not knowing exactly what Goemon was planning to do with the medal. As he continued to talk, Sid's confidence about the situation grew less and less prevalent. "Wait, what's this 'bout finding an opening in my defenses?! This thing is going to backstab me?!" He asked, not really expecting a response. Great...now he was going to have a sword that grew stronger off his pain, and a creature that wanted to kill him when his back was turned. Sighing, the lazy martial artist reached into his pockets and clipped on two sticks of dynamite onto a holder on his right leg, staring down the gainen Goemon summoned while waving his leg out to make sure the explosives were properly in place.
Sure enough, the creature charging toward Sid was the exact same monster that he faced back on Sakurajima, but this time he didn't have that one dude with the blades that could chop through meteors with him. Oh well...he had to at least try. Leaping forward, Sid tries to get as much momentum as possible before jumping in the air and swinging his right leg to the side, aiming a roundhouse kick directly at the gainen's chest...or where his chest would be. "Crack, you oversized egg!" Sid yells as his foot was about to collide with the Impact gainen, the two explosives on his leg would detonate upon impact, making the area of impact explode and release a large amount of force and heat that would greatly amplify the impact of Sid's kick.
---
As Ikari explained how the gainen worked, Cadence slowly began to see that these creatures had it even worse than themselves with Marika. Being from another world, constantly pulled into our's to serve as weapons, only to be sent away afterwards...or trapped in the medal if they take too much damage. Even though Cadence despised even having her gainen around...she couldn't deny that constantly bringing it into our world was wrong it it...and also not pleasant for her to be around in it's presence.
Ignoring the 'doll' comment, Cadence made note of that detail Ikari let slip at the end. Cultists, Trinity Gate, and cybernetics...what a strange combination of words. Ignoring Yuu's question, Cadence turned to Ikari one last time. "...one last question...are these creatures sentient...?" She had to know the answer to this one. If they had free will of their own, it would make defending herself just a little bit more difficult than a mere beast's intellect.

Sid’s kick connected directly on the creature chest. For a moment it seemed that the explosion from his boots would expand and encompass the whole room with fiery wrath, but bizarrely the shockwave stopped mid-air, creating a beautiful ball of fire surging from the Lazy Kicker’s feet, connecting him with the Gainen chest. For a moment everything was silent, as if sound itself was shattered by the first detonation. Slowly the blinding sphere of fire and force started swirling, almost like a galaxy being born but in reverse. The long waves of shock slowly receding into the main core while the explosion itself grew smaller and smaller, slowly getting into a flatter shape as it was sucked in by the Impact medal now floating mid-air.
Goemon smiled. He only did once and it worked for him, but he never attempted to use the medal in combat. He felt the claws of Soul Heat grasping at his sanity the first time he summoned it, the only time in fact, as not only his mind, but his body was affected by it. He wasn’t able to move his right arm for days after punching with Soul Heat. It wasn’t that he wasn’t in the same wavelength as the creature, in fact it was the complete opposite, he was too attuned to it, drawing power from Soul Heat was like pouring gas into a raging bonfire, just made things uncontrollably powerful and as a Martial Artist Goemon only seek control and technique, his strength wasn’t on his durability or his brute force, but on his skill, that’s what his master Ichigan always said.
-Take it Sid, that’s yours now. - He said, inviting the younger fighter to grab the floating medal, as the light around it slowly died out.
-Some of them are, some of them aren’t.- Ikari explained, really not caring about this part. –I don’t know the whole explanation, but depending on the concept they embody there is a bigger chance of them being able to think, feel and even speak or just behaving like mindless beast who seek to damage this world for some convoluted reason I don’t ever bothered learning.- It was clear on his face that he didn’t give two shits about enslaving a sentient being conundrum, if it helped his cause he would walk through hell. –I think that yours is one of the latter, I don’t think he can speak or think… He just wants to destroy.- The Agent of Hatred spat on the ground. –I don’t respect that, I don’t like destruction for the sake of it, there must be a purpose, there must be reason…- His smile grew colder and less fatherly. –There must be a source for any kind of hatred.-
Ikari then turned around to face Yuu. -So, is your boss up and going or should I hit her with another blast to kickstart her?- The Renegade Agent realized something as he spoke. -She might act a bit odd when she wakes up, maybe a little bit less despicable, I did spend a lot of her hatred in healing her.- He looked at his wristwatch. -Still don't expect it to last long, considering how much it's brewing inside her I give her a minute tops before coming back to her older self or maybe she won't even change her demeanor at all.-

Both Alex and Jose stared at Sid's short and magnificent contest with the gainen. Once Sid was victorious, they both begin to recollect their current situation. Alex quietly moves towards the corpse of the fallen King, and mumbles a serious question to himself, "Is anyone really going to risk themselves for a corpse?" He studies them for a few moments as if he is searching for their resolve. To him, this all mission is too fascinating to abandon, but what about them. Still, if this assignment was too protect the corpse, they haven't been very successful. But if it can be used for bait to lure the zombies, then he is fine with keeping the rotting body for now. But the real question that was pestering him is: "Why do they want the corpse?" He ponders a bit as he searches for an answer. The worst notation he could think of is that they could someone bring the king back as a zombie for themselves, but perhaps he is over looking something...He turns around and looks back at Sid as he waits to see what happens next.
Jose on the other hand, hasn't moved a muscle but continues to watch the event with extreme interest. Yet, he couldn't help but feel that this might not be enough. He closes his eyes for a brief moment to feel the tremendous amount of terra energy below his feet. His ability to control nature energy is horrible, and the affects that it has on his body is rather unpleasant. "But if things go south," he begins to think to himself, "I might need to..." He opens his eyes and returns his focus back at the scene ahead of him. All while he silently prays to himself that they will be able to survive this without any extremely desperate actions.

Yuu shook her head. "When I left, she was asleep." Even as she spoke, the kaspa opened and Haven stepped out, Marika clinging to her waist and sobbing. "I'm so sorry! I've been such a bitch to you!" She wept into Haven's waist. "Uh... she's up." Yuu backed away to check on Haven and Marika. "This is a side effect of what Ikari used to heal her. Sorry about it." She explained to an incredibly annoyed Haven. "We'll sort it out later. Has anybody checked if the guards are following us?"

The collision with the Impact Gainen's body wasn't the result Sid was expecting...at all. The resulting explosion looked like it was going to engulf them all and expand out to destroy everything within the next few miles, finally collapsing in on itself and creating a black hole that would absorb every atom on Earth and shred it into oblivion. Or at least...that's what the dudes said on TV in a documentary Sid once watched when there was nothing else on besides sports and news bullcrap. Fortunately, the explosion didn't expand out far at all, ending with the medal floating in midair as Sid landed back on the ground, scratching the back of his head slightly. "That was awesome, dude! Kinda freaky...but I'll deal with it." He says to nobody in particular, walking up and grabbing the medal.
Inspecting the metallic object in his hand, Sid looks over at everyone else nearby. "Soooooo...what? We go down there and pit my dude against their dude?" He asks, turning his head toward Goemon at the end. He had good advice, right?
---
Depending on the concept, these creatures could be sentient or not? So what concept did her creature embody...Industry? Modernization? Pollution? He did seem confident in calling the creature Industrial Poison...could it be possible that it was simply the concept of poison? Taking an educated guess, more broad concepts must be more powerful...perhaps the reason why this man appears so powerful; his medal was a broader concept than her's. With the way he repeated the word 'hatred' and the way he talked about utilizing Marika's...Cadence assumed that his concept was just that; hatred. As he spoke about the Gainen, Cadence nodded slightly in agreement with what he said; destruction without a cause was inherently an idiotic endeavor, fit only for beasts that had no mental capacity beyond survival.
But as Ikari spoke, Cadence began to feel a strange emotion trying to bubble its way past her smoke-inhibited barrier...hatred for Ikari. Since he arrived, all he did for them was give Cadence a creature that she couldn't stand being around, enslave it to her medal, and heal Marika so instead of taking days for the selfish, psychopathic, worthless piece of filth to recover...it only took a few minutes. With Marika back, that meant another attack on the base above, where both herself and her sisters would be torn apart against their will so this piece of trash could steal from a corpse. If he never showed up, this medal could have stayed a useless trinket in her pocket, and Cadence could have taken satisfaction in Marika's slow, agonizing regeneration process while they could wait and have a semblance of normality.
Still with a blank expression on her face, Cadence stared as Yuu and Marika stepped out of the Kaspa with everyone else, Haven glaring down at Marika...but not saying a word. He knew that this wasn't a genuine apology, and anything he said right now would only lead to more torture when they were done with this mission. He deliberately ignored Yuu's explanation as Cadence nodded her head. "...My plants haven't felt pressure...either they can fly...or are still there." She stated, having put a few plants right underneath the windows and doorways to see if they were followed when they left.

Ikari smiled, he could feel the flickering flame of hatred slowly growing bigger and stronger inside Cadence. He couldn’t avoid feeling proud of ushering such emotion into Cadence heart, specially after seeing how she took control of the Gainen as a pro. Still deep inside he knew that something was off, as if bringing out the hate from inside the doll wasn’t something he should do, still that small whisper got lost in the roaring bonfire of his negative emotions, nested firmly on his soul. -The after-effects won’t last long and I need to talk to her as soon as possible.- He talked to Yuu who seemed to be the one in charge. -The sooner I talk to her the sooner I will leave and leave you all to your own devices, I'm expected in Rome.-
-I don’t really know the details, just know the basic theory Sid…- Goemon scratched his nape, finally losing the air of seriousness around him, returning to his usual self. -My master was quite vague about this part…- The Karate Star started scratching his chin, deep in thought, trying to remember. Finally he hit his palm with the base of his fist and started talking. -I think he said something in the lines of telling the medal something and it became something else… Mmmm how to explain it…- This time around he was tapping his nose as he thought, finally finding a good example and snapped his fingers.
- I know, just like Shishioh’s armor in Sakurajima, that kind of stuff, you can get the Gainen in the medal to become an armor or even weapons for you to use.- Goemon pointed the Impact Medal. -Close your hand tightly over it and focus, try to draw its inner power, it must be similar to drawing your own Ki to the surface, just focus on the medal instead of your own body.- That was the best explanation Goemon could give.

Both Jose and Alex remain silent as they study the medal. The bounty hunter is starting to worry more and more as he could begin to sense the energy radiating from the medal. And considering that he has not had the best experiences with the gainen, he couldn't help but consider the possibility that this is too much of a risk to take. However, due to the spectating what is going on with Sid, he is far too distracted to notice what is happening with the hate dolls by sensing their presence through the earth. The ghoul on the other hand is looking forward to witnessing the result of the ritual completion. Yet, while watching this whole scenario play out, he slowly reaches toward the Colt. Not because he is preparing for the worse case outcome, but because he is secretly hoping that something would go wrong. The idea of facing such a splendid creature delighted his heart.

Marika clung to Haven for another few seconds before Yuu peeled her off and she glared. "The fuck is going on around here!? Fuck you, Haven! Perv!" Marika threw a slap for Haven's face before turning to Ikari. "Who's this weirdo?" She glared. "Marika, this is... uh... actually, he never introduced himself but he healed you and now he wants to talk." Yuu kept her hands on Marika's shoulders to calm her, but gave Ikari a slight glare. Her gaze said that if he caused Marika any harm, it would be his last action.

Goemon's explanation made Sid scratch the back of his head a little in confusion. This dude didn't seem sure about how to do it himself...great. "So...think of what I want this thing to be, and channel the energy. Awesome. Here we go..." Sid focuses his mind on the medal, imagining them as a pair of boots around his legs, his primary method of attack. And strangely enough, the medal began to glow similar to when the Gainen was around! Placing the medal on top of his thumb, Sid flicks it up into the air and catches it with his left hand, causing a pillar of light to erupt around the lazy martial artist. Once the pillar dissipated, Sid stood there looking mostly normal...with the addition of a pair of shiny black obsidian-like boots on his feet. They had a web of dark red lava veins running through the material, with the bottom of the boots having a bright white spot in the middle that radiated out into yellow, orange, red, and finally ending with the black material at the edges to indicate an impact zone.
Sid whistled as he saw the boots on his feet, tapping the tips on the ground to get a feel for how they felt. Despite their heavy, rocky appearance; they were surprisingly light. "Whoa...this is badass! Would have thought these would be heavier, though..." As Sid mused about them being heavier, the boot he had in the air suddenly felt like it doubled in weight, and pulled Sid nearly to the ground as he lightly set it back down. "Wha...why is it heavier now?!"

Seeing as she wasn't needed anymore, Cadence made a small dome around her wooden chair to protect it from the snow, and sat in it. She then made the chair move along from a connected vine though the air, stopping just at the edge of the mountain and staring off at the scenery below. What a nice view...the snow falling against the desolate mountain peaks, with seemingly limitless forest down below that was filled with countless wildlife. She looked down at the steep drop below, disinterestedly holding her head up with her right hand as she struck a match and lit her handheld pipe with her other hand, placing the end into her mouth and sucking in smoke, then blowing it out into the air. Were drops like these scary to humans? They likely should be...as a fall from this height would kill a human. Unlike Cadence, who was made of primarily plant material, and the smoke that numbed her pain receptors would make a fall from even this height a mere inconvenience than an actual danger. Does a lack of fear make her the strange one, or the humans?
Haven rubbed his face after the slap from Marika, glaring at her as he pulled up the hood on his jacket. Just what was Cadence doing over there? Regardless, he wanted to hear what this strange man had to say to Marika, for it likely will affect him as well. Ash also stayed back, now radiating out heat again and looking as confident as ever. "We're here now! What's so important?" Ash asked, beaming proudly. She was in her own little world, not thinking too much about why they were there besides fighting some people.

-Ms. Arachne, my name is Ikari Fukushi, I’m here representing my employer who desires to hire you because of your unique skills.- Ikari’s tone was diplomatic, yet the smoldering heat of his hatred boiled under this superficial courtesy.- I assisted you to display the extended hand of friendship my employer desires you to grab so we can get into proper business.- The Agent of Hatred searched his jacket inner pocket and grabbed a small envelope extending his hand with it towards Marika.- My employer wrote this letter to explain the details of the deal himself, I was instructed to give it to you when you were in sound body.- He gave her a glance up and down and a look to the dolls, containing a smirk before completing the sentence. -And mind.-
-I don’t know all the specifics involved, but from what I could gather from my employer’s explanation he’ll surely request your magnificent skills as a Seamstress and in exchange he plans to give you a blank check.- Ikari quickly kept explaining after a brief pause. -Not just a monetary one, but also in resources, as well a well stocked workshop where you can continue your superb work as the greatest Seamstress in the world.- Kuro-san instructed him to avoid insulting her and to praise her as much as possible, they needed Marika’s expertise for a crucial part of the plan. They had a plan B lined up, but it would be expensive, take much more time and much more effort. -So Ms. Arachne, I hope that healing you proved enough my employer’s good intentions to you and your cause.-
-Can’t help you with that one Sid, I don’t know what your Gainen Armor gimmick is all about.- Goemon said the word gimmick with a hint of disgust. -But it might be similar to the one you fought in Sakurajima, so that can help.- The Karate Star shrugged his shoulders, really ignorant about the Kickmaster newfound powers, hopefully it would help to counteract whatever the enemies woke up on their side. Goemon smiled and placed his hand over Sid’s shoulder. -But I bet you’re going to give them a run for their money even if you aren’t a particularly good counter-pick.- The Karate Master smiled. -I’m counting on you Renen, almost as much as I count on Jose.- He then looked at Alex and gave him a thumbs up. -I count on you too, even if I haven’t seen you fight or… ehm… that I can’t remember your name, sorry.-

A disappointed Alex removes his hand from his coat, leaving the Colt in his concealed wire thread holster. Turning to Goemon he replies, "Alexander." He slowly walks over to their location and continues to speak as he takes small steps forward, "And don't count on me to be merciful." He moves past the others as he approaches the door wondering what the cat is doing. Jose looks at the hunchback man with distain and distrust. Yet, at the same time, he couldn't help share the ghoulish man's sentiment. He returns his focus back on Sid and congratulates him for overcoming the gainen before asking him a question to assist the lazy warrior's thinking process, "Can you recall anything that might have triggered the change in weight?"
