"Your boss wanting me dead doesn't mean we can't be friends. Just carry a punch clock with you so I know when we're supposed to be bashing each other to the death." Arthur said with a smile. But Yuu seemed to be lost in her own head by that point. Arthur assumed she was still thinking about what happened, but all he could do was hope she wasn't beating herself up too much. By now she really should've gotten used to the Hidden world throwing unfortunate curve balls at her.
Arthur's attention was soon stolen by Shin, who mentioned some sort of pentagon (Arthur assumed he meant pentagram) under the school. While Urnas explained what he knew about that, Martha and Jane got ready for demon fighting, although Arthur wasn't sure if their preparation would really add to the fight. Still, mental preparation is just as important and seeing Martha and Jane interacting really brought warmth to Arthur's heart (in a good way). It also made him wonder what his daughters were doing right now. With the time difference, they were probably either getting ready for bed or they were already asleep.
Snapping back into reality, Arthur thought about what their captor could be hiding with the magic symbol. "So, if she's using the pentagram to hide something, and she hid the pentagram itself, should we go there and destroy it? Maybe we can find weaken her. Shin, how did you find the pentagram?"

-I dunno if we can destroy it.- Shin shrugged his shoulders. -The whole thing is below the school and is huuuge!- He even opened his hands trying to give a figurative description of the size. Urnas shook his head with frustration and barely contained anger. -I tried to disrupt it for weeks, nothing seems to affect it.- The Vampire Nobleman turned around facing Shin. -You can sense energy, don’t you, boy?- His eyes were burning red as he glared at the Mizukara Swordsman. -Can you sense any humans in this place? She might be around.- Shin hesitated for a moment, clearly weirded out by Urnas intense stare. He double checked, once again locking on the human with the same wavelength as the circle below the school and the other two fictional beings that were emanating power like lanterns. -Well I just noticed somebody in the in-door park, the one I met the other Shin sleeping, the red armored Shin.- He was talking about the Young Bushitora agent.
-How long did you know of this presence?- Urnas fingers curled, his bones popping and his veins slowly pushing out his skin. The predatory presence he was emanating would surely be reaching outside the school premises, flocks of birds would be escaping in all directions just from feeling the chill caused by this ancient predator fury. Shin took a vacillating step back, mixed emotions of fear, fury and regret combining on his face. He tried to keep his cool and replied. -1-2 minutes… I was planning to tell you guys, but you started asking questions and then you asked questions on top of those.- He pointed at Yuu and then at Urnas. -So I kinda forgot… sorry.- He joined his hands together, like a prayer, or in this case could be considered begging for mercy. Urnas tried to burn a hole with his glare right through Shin’s face, but stopped midway sniffing the air. -They’re 2 floors below us, to the west, if we get to the balconies to the park we can fall on them.- He looked around and pointed out towards the far wall. -If we can break that wall we’ll be right above them.-
Drool was dripping from Urnas’ fangs as he walked towards the wall, to check it’s integrity. It was strong, as the others walls covered in black by Sakka, but they could join forces to destroy it. -We need to weaken this wall, any ideas?-

"It's fine, Shin." Yuu steered the teenager away from Urnas, meeting his glare with steady eyes of her own. She followed him over to the wall to rap on it, listening to the sound to get a feel for its thickness. Arthur had smashed a wall earlier, but this one felt a lot thicker. "Jane, do you still have foam?" She felt the wall for a good spot. "Uh, yeah. Plenty." Jane stepped over and aimed her hands. "Good. Here, I don't feel support beams." She rapped her knuckles on a specific spot and stepped back. "Once she's softened it up, I'm sure Martha can kick her way through. If not, a solid ice chunk should manage." Her own strength was focused on cutting, which really wasn't good for breaking through walls. Even if she ignited, she doubted she could contribute much. And she was not igniting in flammable clothing and a flammable school.

Arthur wasn't surprised by Shin not telling them there more people appeared nearby. He really didn't place much faith in the swordsman's cognitive abilities. Still, he didn't think he deserved so much predatory hatred from Urnas just because of it. Especially considering Urnas not only knew that there were more people nearby, but also exactly where they were. That didn't mean Arthur was willing to stick his neck out (metaphorically, of course) for Shin while the vampire was angry.
"I could try using a set of ice pillars as a giant pneumatic drill. I'm sure that would work after Jane weakens the wall. We could try the same on the floor to get right on top of them. Can you tell already if they're ink people?"

While Jane applied her foam, Shin was focusing on the energy signatures he could read thanks to his enhanced perception. It was clear that two of them looked like the others and had the same feel as the whole building, but one of them seemed to be the source of everything, like a cascading pattern, words that he wouldn’t really understand, but whoever that was, and suppossing Urnas was telling the truth it was Sakka Jaakuma, it seemed as if the energy that powered this bizarre school and its students was coming out from her location. -I think two of them are ink people, but one of them isn’t.- He commented to Arthur, but Urnas caught it as well and his composed stance came loose, his eyes turned into crimson pools of hatred and his veins started popping out from his skin, rushing blood like the rapids of a mountain river. His hands suffered the most drastic change, as they grew larger and turned deep black, his fingers getting longer and sharper, as if shadows coalesced into thick and seamless gauntlets around his enlarged digits. A low guttural growl slowly started to dawn from his throat, as the so deadly sun for him does from the East. Seeing him was like watching a large jungle cat ready to pounce to a target.
Urnas didn’t wait for Arthur to topple the wall. Turning into a torrent of shadows the blasted forward, becoming a drill of darkness, aimed directly at the areas damaged by Jane’s foam. The billowy black cone of condensed darkness started to get splashes of red, lines, like trails left by his claws rushing against the wall and carving a path through the weakened spot. He wouldn’t let his pray escape, not when he was so close, he suffered embarrassment and humiliation faking to be under her control, he had to hide like a rat in a school that was 90% windows most of the miserable days he spent here, being an extra in a story he didn’t understand or wanted to know. Letting out that primal roar from the prison his ribs formed around his lungs, he broke through the wall, still on his shadowy form, jumping off the balcony and falling towards Sakka Jaakuma, who was flanked by Aoi Hisaki and Chairo Mizumi, the teachers of Math and Literature. Urnas didn’t care for their strategies, he only wanted to kill Sakka.
But as he was falling, as fast as he could, something weird happened, as Aoi hands did something weird. The Cold Math Teacher pressed one palm against each other, but with the thumbs of each hand pointing up and down respectively. His elbows were extended to the sides and his arms formed a straight line. Urnas was shocked -What matter of sorcery is this!?- He proclaimed as he slowed down mid air, his fall become slower and slower, each time Aoi flexed his thumbs Urnas became slower, until he barely moved mid-air. -How did you freeze me in place, you insect!?- He asked, still falling, but at a imperceptibly speed. Chairo walked forward and bowed. -You’re not frozen… yet.- He cleared his throat and took a very theatrical stance.
“Now is the winter of our discontent”
He quoted the Bard and suddenly a massive gust of freezing wind appeared from nowhere, hitting the floating Vampire Noble and coating him in ice. Sakka, sitting behind them, in the same bench, cross legged and clapping. -Fantastic, nobody could’ve recited that better.- She even whistled loudly, putting her fingers inside her mouth. Chairo replied with an overly baroque bow and a charming smile. -I hope the rest of the cast decides to come out, as the final act is about to start.- He shouted with perfect diction and tone, as he turned around, looking at the broken wall left by Urnas.

Yuu shielded her eyes from the dust and jumped through after Urnas. With a much less enthusiastic drop, she avoided his fate, but she still felt the bitter winds. The other dolls winced more than her, both instinctively shying towards the other side. “Help Urnas.” Was all Yuu said to them, fixing Aoi in her gaze. She walked towards him, moving in an arc to keep herself away from Sakka and Chairo. Martha shrugged and took off at breakneck speed. She moved like a lightning bolt, darting diagonally to get to Chairo’s side before rushing his flank in the hopes he couldn’t catch her in the same attack. Jane scrambled to the side, trying to simply avoid any stray ice storms or whatever else was about to tear apart the courtyard.
Yuu stopped about 20 feet away from Aoi, studying him for a second. He didn’t look any different than when she knew he was real. “My real name isn’t Jun Li. I don’t know if you already figured that out. I suppose you probably did.” She sighed and rubbed her face. “Sorry, I just wanted to apologize for coming here. Maybe you could have lived a normal life. Maybe not. I feel like you deserve an apology either way. You see… well, you’re real. Everybody here was. You lived and breathed and left impacts on the lives around you. When you said you’re forbidden from turning Tsume in, I felt a connection I’ve never felt with anybody else. And so I’m sorry, Aoi.” Yuu held her hand out, sticky with the tears she tired to hide. “My real name is Yuu Arachne, and I’m sorry I have to kill you.”

The vampire ran ahead, ripping through the weakened wall with sheer bloodlust. Yuu followed after him and Arthur followed after her. Witnessing what happened to Urnas, Arthur got the feeling he didn't want to mess with Aoi. After all, following literature tropes, he'd expect one to use ice and the other fire. Unless both of them could use both or if they could trade powers.
Thinking about such possibilities wasn't helping, so instead Arthur acted. He ran forward before jumping into the air above Chairo, then flipped over in the air and kicked off of an ice platform to smash down into the teacher with a fist covered in explosive frost energy.
"Guys, I'll deal with the mathemagician. I can take him. Probably. You just make sure the other guy doesn't throw fire or something at me."

Shin couldn't comprehend the movements of the vampire as the noble creature of the night simply move too fast for his eyes to properly follow, yet without thought he follows behind his companies as they charge forward to face their foes. Only once Urnas is ensnared in an unique trap of the math teacher could Shin properly follow the man. Yet while his eyes could now see the vampire, his brain is incapable of understanding what is happening to him as the rapid darkness as been transform into a still image.
The young swordsman is left awestruck and frighten at the sight before his very eyes. "How-how-how-" he kept mumblings over and over again. Unable to find the words to ask his companions the question crippling his bandwidth. Before he could even process another thought his companies continue their charge. Which reminds him of the current situation. Without any further hesitation, the young man waves his arms in an arching motion over each other. As he brings his arms down, two blades manifest in each of his hands. Shin proceeds to rush at Sakka like a straight arrow. His own movement is rather predicable, but rapidly gaining speed as he targets the only real person among his opponents.

Aoi looked at Yuu with sad eyes, hidden behind the light reflecting on his glasses. The Cold Math Teacher winced upon hearing the Doll talk, but it was just a faint sign of listening her, apart from that there was no reaction. Sakka, witnessing this, sitting on the bench with her eyes locked on them couldn’t be more invested. Her flexed fingers covered the lower half of her face while she violently flushed. -Ohhhhhh- She squealed, mentally congratulating herself for such a great storyline. She softly clapped. -Such a tragic story, I’m such a good writer.- She praised herself as she kept looking at their interaction. But as soon as she noticed Arthur falling towards Aoi she waved her hand. -Shitty side-characters can’t mess with this scene.- And from a lower floor a figure jumped, aiming a flying kick directly at Arthur’s side, to interrupt his attack. It was Ikki Ryusei, the masked Gym Teacher. He shouted -SEIYA!- As a Karate kiai roar, as he unleashed the kick targeting the Frost Wizard’s ribs.
Aoi, still focused on Yuu, crossed both of his arms several times, alternating between right and left and then he pointed his legs with two fingers. Without changing postures he blasted forward, moving faster than any human could, but not even getting close to the the sound barrier. As he charged he repeated the same thing he did against the charging Urnas, but this time around he pointed at Yuu’s tears. If she could feel the heat, she would notice that it decreased quite a lot, feeling only a quarter as hot as before. With that done Aoi launched a powerful front kick directly aimed at Yuu’s stomach, but it was just a faint, as with his enhanced speed and reflexes he instantly crouched before making contact and pulling a pretty impressive break-dance like move, he shifted his weight and twisted his body, performing a handstand and using the other leg to sweep Yuu right on the back of the knee, hopefully trying to knock her down.
Meanwhile Chairo reacted to Martha’s blitz. He took a very theatrical pose and proclaimed. “The better part of valor is discretion” before blinking out of the way, letting the brawling Doll hitting air. He appeared several meters away from her, surrounded by dazzling words coming out from his skin, floating in the air with a radiant glow. He pointed at her while reciting “Cry “havoc!” and let slip the dogs of war” With those words still floating in the air 3 large spectral mastiffs appeared in front of him, charging towards Martha bearing their fangs, ready to rip her to shreds. Finally, Shin, who decided to charge directly at Marika discovered that his attacks were intercepted by another sword, or at least, that was what he could hear, as his blades clashed against an invisible force with a loud CLANG, characteristic of metal against metal. Sakka, smiling, moved her finger from side to side while smiling, as from behind one of the trees Uwasa Samui walked into Shin’s line of sight.
She looked at him with disgust and pointed at his clothing. -You’re sooooo lame, even with a regulated uniform you still look like such a poor and sad bum.- As those words escaped her mouth the invisible force pushed towards him, revealing a bit of its shape, just a hint, as it looked as if it was made of some kind of very clear glass. It was a long sword with a snake-like blade, curving until reaching a bifurcated tip. Seemingly she was weaponizing her insults… A sharp tongue perhaps?. Urnas was still floating, halfway transformed into his shadow form.

Martha threw a punch right at Chairo's smug face, but he was gone before it landed. She skid to a halt, nearly toppling from her overzealous strike. "Huh?" She planted her feet and spun, finding him standing a few feet away. Was he that fast, or did he teleport? It had to be the latter. Nobody was that much faster than her. The problem was hitting somebody who teleported. Her glare turned horrified when he summoned up his spectral hounds. "What!? No no no! Come on, don't make me fight dogs!" Martha didn't like dogs. Dogs could smell that dolls were dead and they hated it. But she was still violently opposed to kicking the hell out of them. They came biting and snapping, forcing her to back up. She quickly began to take snaps and bites, leaving holes in her flesh that didn't bleed. She glared at Chairo, so smug behind his attack dogs. She didn't have any choice, did she? "I don't remember your name and I don't know what you're doing, but you're going to be so sorry you did it in a second!" Martha's foot lashed out for the snout of the nearest dog with force that would flip a car. Her fist followed suit, a hook meant to sweep through the other two dogs. Hopefully with a moment's reprieve, Martha took another look at Cairo. Her eyes refocused for a moment, at Sakka behind him. Her glasses shone as she covered her mouth, making her look faceless. Her glasses. Made of glass. Martha smiled. "Hey Sakka?" She reached out her magic and pushed. If those glasses really were made out of glass, they'd shatter. The shards of one lens would go inwards, right for Sakka's eye. The fragments of the other would fly right at Chairo's back as Martha rushed from the front. "Am I still the hero!?" She threw a roundhouse kick so fierce the air whipped into a whirlwind around it. Jane scurried around the edge of the courtyard, eyes peeled for anything coming her direction. Not that she could do much about anything that happened to come her way. Her reflexes were no better than any regular human's, and worse than quite a few, and her durability was in the same class. She could barely track their movements as Shin clashed with Uwasa. She could see what Uwasa was commanding just enough as it lashed out at Shin. It might just be energy, like ki, but maybe it was solid. Jane held out her hands and sprayed. It wasn't much stronger than a garden hose, so it didn't go very far, but it should be enough to eat through the glassy attack if it was truly physical. "You won't accept my hand?" Yuu sadly smiled and her eyes sparked like a lighter, igniting the sticky tears across her body. She felt her strength rise as it always did, but just a moment later it dimmed again when her flames cooled. She felt barely fast enough to raise her weapon to stop his kick, and not nearly fast enough to react when she realized it was a feint. His foot hooked her knee, yanking the whole leg out from under her. She was tilting and falling before she knew it, hitting the ground hard. The air was driven out of her lungs, not that it mattered. She rolled over and stood again, flames latching onto blades of grass below her. They were all cold. They barely burned at all on her torso, spreading at a snail's pace down her legs. "I don't know how you're doing that." She said when her breath returned. She looked at him for hints, but she doubted she would get any. He was silent. Could he divide temperature? It would fit his job as a math teacher. "Did you know all along what you were? Or did you only learn today?" She lowered her sword, cocking her head. "Did you always know your role in the story?" She began taking steps closer. "I know what it feels like, and I know you don't have a choice. Neither do I. My creator gave me a role too, and it's one I cannot deviate from. There is only one escape from it." She drew back her blade was about to lunge, but her hands faltered and her feet stumbled.
She looked at her shaking hands and realized her whole body was trembling. Her outpouring of tears fed the flames, but it was a lukewarm inferno. It felt like it was just getting colder. Was she projecting things on Aoi that weren't there? She barely knew him. Was it just that she saw a kindred spirit in anything under control of a capricious master? Aoi isn't even real you idiot. He's just lines on paper moving around. Just like you're a puppet dancing to my every whim. Marika-voice mocked internally. Yuu was bending under the weight of it all, hunching over with the blade out like a horn. Her head was low, hair hanging over her face. "No." Her eyes literally sparked and fire swept out again. "Fuck you. Fuck you Sakka. We're real. As real as you." She stood tall, wreathed in flames and sword out. "Do your best, Aoi. Fight me not for her but for you. Fight for your life because you are alive, just as I will." She slid into a real fighting stance now, sword over her head, and slashed quick and hard at his face, seeking to cleave right through.

Arthur's heroic charge was interrupted by the sudden appearance of the helmeted teacher. Worse, however, was Sakka's comment.
"Hey, screw you, lady!" Arthur took Ikki's kick. Despite cracking ribs, he tried grabbing Ikki's leg while it was still connected, then spinning in the air and tossing the teacher into the wall. He didn't pursue the teacher any further. He wasn't even sure the teacher would stick around for a while since Shin only mentioned three signatures and Ikki came out of nowhere. Maybe he's just a temporary creation.
"I'm not gonna be killed off-screen just because you're a talentless hack!" Still in the air, Arthur created a vertical ice platform and pushed off of it, sending himself hurling towards Sakka. With the cracked ribs on his right, he wasn't gonna use his upper body more than really necessary. Instead, he performed a roundhouse kick with his left, before finally landing on the ground with a slide.

Shin sidesteps away from the incoming invisible force. Thanks to his enchance vision he could see a sort of highlight glow around the bizarre weapon with an unnatural shimmer affecting the air around the dangerous blade. Yet as he plants his foot down he could feel a trickle of blood falling down his face to the side of his right eye. The young swordsman immediately takes a few steps back as he tries to create distance between them. "Shit... I can't waste time fighting you." He quickly begins to sprint around the room as he tries to circle around the information broker to get to his real target. However, before he ran off, he quickly summons a clone of himself that appears directly above Uwasa Samui. The clone appears to be coming down in complete silence as the clone prepares to strike down his opponent. Yet even if she wasn't real, Shin couldn't bring himself to attack with the intention to destroy her, and instead is preparing to use the blunt edges of his blades to knock her out unconscious. Meanwhile the other Shin continues to rush Sakka.

Uwasa fell down hard, Shin clone’s attack hitting her in the back of the neck with enough force to make her faceplant hard into the floor. The impact was so great that upon crashing she exploded into black ink, surely because she was just a sudden summon instead of a more developed creation. The main Shin shifted his focus, rushing towards Sakka, at the same time as Arthur, who had sent out Ikki Ryusei flying away, until the Masked Teacher crashed against one of the trees in the indoor garden, his mask, already damaged from before, fighting Shin Bushitora, got cracked, a piece flying off, revealing spike black hair coming out from his head. The Mizukara Swordsman and the Frost Wizard double teamed Sakka, who clearly didn’t seem to be bothered, pulling down her lower eyelid down and sticking her tongue out. The moment their attacks hit her she changed, she wasn’t Sakka anymore, she was Rian Seimei, the soft-spoken and elegant student of 2nd Year. She had a paper charm in her head, reading “VISAGE OF GOD” some kind of Omnyo Charm. Upon receiving the attacks she exploded into ink, staining both in the black liquid. From above them, standing in one of the balconies facing the park, Sakka waved at them, with a charm in her hand reading “BODY OF THE SERVANT” Seemingly she pulled the good ol’ substitution technique.
This trick meant that Martha’s attack wouldn’t find Sakka’s glasses, yet Martha’s power wasn’t wasted, as lacking the original target the mysterious energies that allowed her to control glass latched on one of the massive windows that formed this side of the building, pulling and breaking it into a dozen large chunks, flying towards Chairo. The Sleazy Teacher saw the incoming shards and without losing his cool, at least on the surface, as a bead of sweat slid off the side of his face as he saw the attack coming, he proclaimed -ℑ𝔰 𝔱𝔥𝔦𝔰 𝔞 𝔡𝔞𝔤𝔤𝔢𝔯 𝔴𝔥𝔦𝔠𝔥 ℑ 𝔰𝔢𝔢 𝔟𝔢𝔣𝔬𝔯𝔢 𝔪𝔢, 𝔱𝔥𝔢 𝔥𝔞𝔫𝔡𝔩𝔢 𝔱𝔬𝔴𝔞𝔯𝔡 𝔪𝔶 𝔥𝔞𝔫𝔡?- And from thin air a shining short blade appeared, one he grabbed and started swinging to break apart the incoming projectiles. His defense wasn’t perfect, as some of the fragments slashed him, revealing black blood falling off his wounds. But the consecutive parrying of glass left him open for Martha’s offensive, who easily dispatched his dogs and charged with a whirlwind kick. Her foot connected right on Chairo’s face, being rewarded with a disgusting wet crunch, as she sundered his nose, breaking it and forcing a jet of black ink out from his nostrils, staining her foot.
Chairo fell flat on his ass grabbing his twisted nose and wincing in pain, crawling back to get away from Martha, for the first time showing something else than a shit eating grin on his face, he was afraid, desperately trying to gain some distance, suffering too much pain and having too much blood on his mouth and nose to quote the Bard and summon his uncanny powers. While this happened Yuu was facing off Aoi. The Math Teacher mirrored her moves, standing just in front of her ready to fight. He didn’t talk, but his eyes, his eyes told everything Yuu needed to know. Because she might’ve seen those eyes before, the look of somebody serving somebody else, the eyes of somebody conflicted by said service. He prepared to attack just as she did, readying his fist to unleash a haymaker directed to her nose, but as he was about to make contact he stopped, he forcibly stopped his own body mid-motion, not even moving out Yuu’s blade trajectory. The sword sunk deep, crossing his face in a perfect diagonal, coming out from under his ear. He smiled, as his body crumbled into ink. -The only thing I could fight for…- He whispered, leaning forward as his body dissolved. -Was this, the only freedom I’ll ever know… Fight for your own freedom...- and with that said he turned into ink.
Sakka, two stories above them, clapped with tears in her eyes. -That was so beautiful, such a great scene… I thank you all from the bottom of my heart and I would like to stay for the after party, but unluckily, my ride is here.- She added while wiping her ecstatic tears of joy. -So Ciao darlings.- Her words were punctuated with the other ink bodies vanishing, turning into mush and the windows of the in-door garden exploding inwards as somebody crashed like a Deep Purple meteor in the middle of the group. As the smoke cleared, a figure clad in purple armor, styled as a wolf, stood among them, taller than any of them, standing as the trees and vegetation around him started to burst aflame. From inside the metallic snout of his helmet, a voice that made everything around shake from the sheer potency echoed across the school as he looked at Sakka. -I hate your games Sakka, just get ready to leave…- Ikari Fukushi then turned around, facing the people surrounding him. -While I take out the trash.-

Jane’s foam just fell in the puddle of ink that was Uwasa a moment previous. Ink bubbled away to let her bubbles form slimy blue ditches in the dirt. With a little more foam, she could erase all indications that she ever was. She was tempted to spray and hope that destroying the evidence would let her forget what happened here, but she knew that wasn’t how it worked. Whether she liked them or not, these people would stay in her mind forever. Her lip wobbled, but she bit it to hold it still. Her tears couldn’t be stopped so easily. All the horror was breaking through at long last. Martha was spotted, skin white as paper sprayed with ink dark as the depths of a well. She drew back her foot when Chairo hit the ground. Glass blades, carrying through on their momentum, shattered around her feet, shards magically evading her legs. She let a hiss out, looking down on Chairo. He bled black. The red river did not grant him the burden of reality. He could safely be stomped underfoot, reduced to sludge, returned to pen-fodder without a whisper of the conscience. Martha took slow steps towards him, with each one capable of leaping and kicking his head clean off. Her legs refused to comply. They were stuck in this slow cycle, step by step closer to their target. She finally stopped, standing over him. Did either of them breathe? She hadn’t thought to look for that gentle rise and fall of the chest in the people of ink. Does it matter if they do? I don’t breathe, but I’m real. He can breathe and be fake. Martha thought, and in that she recognized her problem. She screwed her eyes shut and concentrated. She concentrated very hard on the concept of not concentrating on anything. Not thinking, a task that normally seemed so easy, was finally something she had to work at. Her thoughts refused to clear easily, but her body was reminded to move on its own. Her foot dropped for Chairo’s neck. If it wasn’t enough, it did so again, and again until it was. Thought died. Martha looked down and all she saw was ink. Ink staining her skin. Chairo was nothing more than a Rorschach test, and she didn’t see anything in his blots. Yuu flinched away from Aoi’s punch, but it never hit. She felt no pain in her face, just the slight resistance of her blade sinking through bone and instantly knew the attack was fatal. She could only stare in shock as he melted away. Her flames burned hot again, but she felt cold. Ash from her burning clothing was beginning to coat her body, but not a drop of ink had landed on her. She didn’t even have the decency to stain herself with his blood. It was so cold, impersonal. You killed him and what has you being a baby is how you did it? Did you want it to be drug out? A real fight? Have you gone from dark knight to blood knight, Yuu? Marika-voice whispered in the crackling of her flames.
Yuu’s face twisted. It was no expression that could be named, just an ugly thing of pain. She bowed her head to where Aoi had fallen. There was no body to be buried. Nothing to leave as a memento that once, he was. Everything that was his was now ink. He was made to be forgotten, to leave no trace. “I will not forget.” She vowed. All she had were a few minutes of his life in her mind, but it was more than anybody else in the world. She opened her eyes and began to approach Ikki to help Arthur out. Her path was intercepted when the meteor of hate plummeted to earth.
Yuu’s hair stood on end. Fire was a hungry and vicious omnivore that would catch and devour all it touched, but it was also a nourisher, a protector. Ikari’s fire had none of that in it. You couldn’t cook a meal over flames that smelled like burning tar and made the mind ill to approach. Yuu’s stomach twisted when she looked at the man before her. This wasn’t another of Sakka’s toys. So for him to be here, he had to be something truly fearsome. “Martha! Back Arthur up! Jane, get to cover and stay there until we’re ready to go!” She was like a comet as she lunged at Ikari, wreathed in flame and ash as she whipped her sword around at his stomach.

Arthur and Shin launched a two-pronged assault at Sakka. Her only response was a childish Japanese taunt. Arthur wondered why she seemed so nonchalant until she turned into a completely different girl. The girl exploded, coating the sole of Arthur's foot with slick ink, covering his eye, and some of her even went into his mouth.
"Ugh, it's gonna take some vigorous brushing to get this out." He tried to spit it out, but the taste didn't go away. he tried to at least wipe his face but noticed even his coat was covered in black liquid. He leered at Sakka menacingly with his one unstained eye.
"I bet this is all very amusing to you. Treating your creations like nothing more than puppets and then running off after you had your fun. It's a shame you're not getting away so easily this time!" An orb of frost appeared in Arthur hand. As he got ready to toss it at Sakka, a heavy object landed in the middle of the group. Arthur protected his uncovered eye from the dust that rose up, then looked at the new arrival.
"Hey, I like your style." He looked at the wolf-themed armor. "Not a fan of the flames though. Also not a fan of being called trash for no reason." He hurled the frostball he prepared before at him. Then Jun lunged at the man, too. Covered in flames as well, so Arthur would rather not rush in himself. he stayed back and waited for an opportunity to launch ice shards at him without endangering Yuu. It's harder to aim without depth perception.

Shin isn't bother by the ink as much as Arthur. He was more focus on his opponent and frustrated by her magic trick. "Come on!" he yells at his clone. The other Shin needs to takes a few moments to realize what just happened as his opponent also turn into ink. The clone soon begins to rush towards the original, yet before he could reach his other, suddenly the windows shatter and a purplish smoke envelopes the room. Once the smoke the pair is finally standing side by side as they turn to face what they assume is going to be one hell of a pain in the ass.
"I think I want to drop out of school now," said both Shins simultaneously as they stare at their new foe. The swordsmen raise their swords in unison, yet take different stances. One Shin is much lower and closer to the ground, almost similar to the starting position of a sprinter. Meanwhile the other Shin is taking a tall and sidewise stance. Yet both of them remain still as they are waiting for this mysterious fellow in the wolf design armor to either create an opening, or give them an opportunity to counterstrike. Either way, they are simply holding back as they wait for the right moment.
The Shin lower to the ground will attempt to move around and finding an expose opening in the suit to exploit with a quick stab, while the Shin standing tall will help create pressure to aid his clone's chances of success by performing a flourish of light, but fast pace attacks to occupy the man's attention. Yet for now, they will wait patiently for their chance.

Ikari, standing surrounded by the Investigation team, seemed like a statue of a forgotten dark god, the kind of deity people perform human sacrifice for. His blazing dark purple flames licked the floor, turning the once green grass into a scorched wasteland as if his mere presence was more than enough to kill anything around him. -Tsk… trash-talking from trash?- He said, as his gauntlet covered fingers closed around the frostball thrown by Arthur, dispersing it through sheer force of will and infernal heat. Yuu charged at Ikari, who blocked her blade by manifesting a weapon of his own, performing a vertically reversed guard, the sword the doll had taken from Shin Bushitora clashing hard against the Avatar of Hatred flaming blade. The empty eyes of his armor locked on her. -Yes, that’s good, you’re doing a good job girl, that’s the kind of intensity I like to see, at least you…- He interrupted himself as he received the probing offensive of Shin, using his free hand and another blade he summoned, to parry the attacks without even watching them. He continued talking to Yuu. -Graduated from trash to insect…- The sword he used to block her attack became longer, shapeshifting into a spear he was holding with the proper grip. -I’ll have to be careful about your bite.- And with that said he threw a kick directly at her stomach, aiming the sharp point of his greaves into her solar plexus. While he did that, he blocked the second Shin attack, the one aimed at the joints of his armor.
-I’m feeling generous today because I hate short and boring fights…- He looked around, his eyes scanning them. -I’m going to allow you another set of attacks, if you manage to hurt me, I’ll keep fighting with just one hand, if nobody managed to do any damage, I’ll murder you all before a minute of your useless lives passes you by.- Ikari spoke with the kind of confidence somebody with utmost power has, the kind of swagger a warrior of legend wields just as effectively as a weapon. He gestured them to attack, inviting them with his hand. -Come on trash, don't be shy, try to resist, make my day a bit more entretaining.-

Martha sped over to Arthur's side but quickly realized that Ikki wasn't the main problem. She turned to rush Ikari, but Yuu held up a hand. "You stay over there! I'll handle him alone! That goes for you too, Shin!" She waved her sword at the young man, trying to chase him off. As soon as she had some space, she looked past Ikari. It really was a nice garden. It even had little streams. She wondered if Urnas had those put in or if they were added by Sakka. She gave a silent thanks to whichever it was. She kicked off a half-melted shoe at Ikari's face to distract him and charged. Her other shoe had burned right off already, so she ran more easily this way anyway. She diverted at the last moment to dive into the stream.
Some would think that water would snuff her flames. Those people wouldn't do well in a grease fire. A good portion of the stream became steam at once. Yuu's tears were less dense than water, and the steam carried them upon it. Put simply, the stream exploded. The fireball was plenty large to reach Ikari and ignite the grass of the field. Yuu rushed within the cloud, hidden by flames as much as she was empowered by them. Ashes and scraps were washed away, leaving only flames and flame-retardant undergarments. She could only be stronger if she shed those and let the flames touch her every pore, but that was hardly going to happen. Yuu looked like a being of flame as stabbed at Ikari's neck, seeking to do damage that flames could not.
Martha and Jane both shied away from the flames when they went erupting up. Jane watched the flames spreading down the river with worry. Yuu could set the whole garden on fire. It would be good for Yuu of course, but certainly not everybody else. "Arthurrrrrrr! Keep the fire under control pleaaaaaaaaase!" She wailed, staying well clear of the stream. Martha just sprang over the stream, landing on the other side of the fireball just as it was fading. "Now! Surround him!" Yuu yelled as the fire failed around her. "I know, I'm not stupid!" Martha tore up the ground with her feet as she charged at Ikari and tried to plant her sole in his sole in his neck. He eyes widened when she saw Yuu clearer. "Ah, gross!" She covered her eyes in disgust. "Are you fu-" Yuu ground her palm into her face for a second before grabbing her sword in two hands again. It wasn't worth it. It really wasn't. Yuu grit her teeth, glad the fire hid the red in her cheeks.

While it wasn't intentional, Yuu's actions really messed up what Arthur could do. With all that fire everywhere, there was no way he could get in and do melee attacks. What's more, she managed to set the river on fire which could end up lighting the whole building on fire.
"Arthurrrrrrr! Keep the fire under control pleaaaaaaaaase!" Jane wailed. Easier said than done, Arthur thought. If it was easy, he wouldn't worry about fire that much. Still, if Jane was asking him to do it, he had to!
First, he created two barriers on either side of the river to prevent fire spreading from the river to the grass. Ice then spread from those barriers until it connected in the middle of the river and formed a large sheet of ice. The ice then descended, pushing the water down and covering it whole to make sure there was no oxygen left to feed the flames. His forehead was beaded with sweat from the exertion but he secured the school for now. He had the idea of slamming all the ice into the armored monster of a man, but he gave up on it. Since he wasn't sure about the properties of that fire he didn't dare repurpose the ice for an attack lest it light back up.
Instead, he made ice shards appear all around Ikari and then rush into him from all sides, looking for chinks in the armor they could exploit to hurt him.

Shin heard Yuu’s order and decided to ignore it. -You aren’t the boss of me!- He shouted, as he and himself, meaning the clone, split up, charging towards Ikari from opposite sides and angles. His attacks synched up with the massive explosion created by Yuu, his clone getting the full brunt force of the fireblast, while the real Shin was shielded by Ikari’s body. His blade clashed against the Avatar of Hatred’s sword, his armored silhouette being cut by the fireball behind him. Both swords spewed a rain of sparks, blue out of Shin’s and purple from Ikari’s. It was like hitting an iron pole, sunken into concrete. Ikar didn’t seem to be bothered by Shin’s attack, aiming a kick to the Mizukara Swordsman’s gut. -Is this everything you have!?- Ikari roared. Truth to be told, the explosion did manage to injure him, but he was clever enough to fake no-selling it, just for intimidation purposes. As Martha flew towards him, he offhandedly went to grab her ankle to redirect her using her own force and send her crashing against a tree. If he was unable to perform that action he would simply avoid her kick by side-stepping.
Ikari felt pretty confident until Arthur unleashed his majestic magical might, creating ice structures to fight off the raging flames created by Yuu’s ingenious plan and then the arsenal-worth of ice lances sent towards the Hatred Knight. Using two blades Ikari turned his upper body into a cocoon made of the after-images of his burning weapons, deflecting as many lances as he could, his arms becoming blurs of motion. The echoing sound of metal rending through ice reached the corners of the indoor park and beyond. Yet, this managed to overpower Ikari’s defenses. Half a dozen spears managed to pierce through his flurry of parries, and thanks to Yuu’s pyrochemical blast his armor was weakened. The spears sunk through his armor, managing to draw blood. His body, reinforced by Gainen Energy and Ki managed to stop them from turning into grievous wounds, but Arthur still managed to hurt him. The Avatar of Hatred chuckled as he grabbed the spears, pulling them out and crushing them between his armored fingers. Once there was only one remaining he spoke.
-Good job… You deserve your reward…- He raised his hand and slowly moved it to the back of his waist. -I said I would fight with one hand behind my back, right?- His lupine helmet shifted, the toothy maw turning into a hideous smile. -I must admit, I didn’t think you kiddos had it in you…- Ikari’s eyes glowed with purple flames. -I hate being wrong.- As the last syllable left his mouth he vanished. A loud BOOM burst from the location he had been, signaling the breaking of the sound barrier, as Ikari reappeared in front of Arthur, with two blades firmly grasped on his hands. -DID YOU ACTUALLY THOUGHT I WOULDN'T USE MY HAND, YOU IDIOT!?- He roared as he unleashed 4 consecutive strikes towards Arthur.
