There are many individuals in the world that are talented, that are good at what they know to do by natural gifts alone. We tend to call them Prodigies (Shindo/神童) the ones who are able to transcend the frontiers of human effort by sheer genetic potential.
They exist all over the world and specialize in every field, but there are some beyond human limitations, ones with true heavenly skill given to them by luck. You have prodigy chefs that can create dishes beyond human comprehension, swordsmen who are able to wield a blade before they can walk…
Or in this particular case a writer that can make what she writes a reality…
Sakka Jaakuma
Height: 1,85 mts
Weight: 55 kg
Age: 16
Faction: Villain
Origin of Powers: Shindo/神童
Backstory
Backstory
Sakka Jaakuma is the only child of Takeo Jaakuma, a world renowned writer that published several bestsellers during 1980 but when he had to finish the series of books he was working he suffered a creative block and was unable to continue. The pressures slowly built up around him, and as he never was a very strong man he finally snapped. His rampage through the city of Hokkaido was stopped by a bullet in the head shot by a man who had a hunting rifle in his house. Takeo Jaakuma killed 15 people before being stopped.
Sakka’s mother, Hikaru Jaakuma took her daughter to Tokyo, where the young Sakka turned into writing to escape from the bullying of her classmates. Since she was ten she grew more and more isolated, refusing to leave her room, scribbling on her father’s old notebook using his glasses and pen. She kept working day after day until a cold winter night something clicked inside of her brain. She had been writing for more than 48 hours without sleeping, her fingers bleeding as she held to the pen as if it was a matter of life and death.
As she scribbled more and more, with her eyes completely blank and her blood falling to the page, merging with the ink. She didn’t realize it but slowly the character she was writing started to come out from the page, creeping into the room in a half-ink, half-real form. When the pen finally fell from her hands Sakka looked up and saw the character she was writing, a noble knight, falling apart into ink, splashing on the ground. She screamed, rising her voice for the first time in years, but it wasn’t fear or surprise… it was excitement.
Sakka started honing this skill and soon she discovered that she didn’t only bring the characters to life, but also she controlled their very action, like a kid playing with toys she could make them do anything or say anything, keeping in account that she needed to write it first. Thus she experienced a change, not longer feeling the need to remain locked away she used her newfound powers for a multitude of purposes. None of them good, as she took revenge on her classmates, stole goods and altered her looks.
Sakka started selling her skills to the best buyer and ended up meeting with Kuro-san. The man intrigued her so she set his creations, which lack any conventional way to track or detect them to follow him until she discovered his powers. Sakka realized that with the Gainen Medal of Memory she would be able to finally create a perfect fantasy, thus she decided to get it and for that purpose she made a deal. She would work exclusively for Kuro-san and when his mission was over he would give her the Medal.
And thus her involvement in the world and the incoming crisis started.
Powers
As a Shindo, Sakka is a human who has a natural or acquired (very unusual) connection to the outer plane of existence known as “Gainen Space” and thus she can channel the conceptual energy that the plane is filled with into this world through a concepts her skills embodies, in her case it’s “Fiction”. As the Shindo of Writing (Fiction) she can channel the Gainen Energy to powerful effect capable of great feats of creation and illusion.
Whatever Sakka creates with this power is real until disproven or dispelled, but there are limits for it. She cannot create omnipotent characters, neither characters with powers greater than their own, but luckily for her, the condition of Shindo allows her to tap into the Gainen Space, thus she can create constructs as powerful as the Gainen of the concept she channels, thus able to create really dangerous and varied foes that can create real lasting injuries through conceptual means.
<Setting>
Sakka’s bread and butter is <Setting>. With this power she can create a “location” that overlaps with the real world, creating a construct that might be as big as a city or as small as a single room in which her powers can be used. Before using the <Setting> she must survey the location and mark the limits with inkblots made from ink and blood, once she does that she needs to write the details of the location and once she places the final period on the description the <Setting> is activated.
<Character>
Sakka can create <Characters> that work as Ink Constructs. The more detailed their descriptions are and the more fitting to the Setting they are, the more powerful they will become. If she creates a Feudal Japan setting and places a robot on it then the robot, unless it has a proper justification to exist in the setting will be much weaker, so she benefits from placing proper characters in their proper setting, like a Samurai in Feudal Japan, or a Vampire in Transylvania. She can handle the <Characters> in two different ways.
One is “Auto-Mode”, in which she writes their dialogues and leaves them in a loop, doing basic tasks she wrote them for. Guards, soldiers, workers, maids and others fall in this category. Her second method is “Performance-Mode” in which she controls the <Characters> directly by writing at the same time that they act. This mode allows her to see what her <Characters> see and hear what they hear. She needs to follow the <Character> Personality that she wrote when creating him or her or else they will lose stability and power.
<STORY>
Sakka can pre-design the events in her simulations, at least the actions of her <Characters> through the creation of a <STORY> that guides their steps from the beginning to the end. This must be combined with the knowledge of the external forces coming to her <Setting> if they ever come, so she can write the <STORY> and her <Characters> around the people coming from the outside. This way she can use <Characters> more easily as she can let the basic parameters be defined by the <STORY>
Limitations
Everything solid created by Sakka will turn into Ink once destroyed, disproven or dispelled. All her constructs can fool some senses, especially natural ones, but any Magical/Ki/Etc enhanced senses can detect the Ink smell on her creations and the <Setting>. If the creations leave the <Setting> it will also get dispelled and the <Setting> can't be large than a small city and the larger it is the more preparation and constant mantainment needs, making them really hard to keep up working at full effect as even if she has enormous stamina (her only high physical stat) Sakka can't mantain a large city for more than 48 hours.
