History:
Ron was one of several ordinary infants taken for a top secret and utterly unethical project- an attempt to make people with the powers of insects. After a grueling training and elimination program, Ron and 8 others were battle hardened mechanical monsters. At 16, Ron escaped the compound, using his powers to fly to freedom. He met and had a brief romantic relationship with fellow outcast Huntsman before being horribly injured and recaptured within a few months. Held for two more years, Ron fell apart more and more until his refusal to cooperate and increasingly unstable attitude earned him termination. Before his scheduled date, he managed another escape. Free again, he immediately looked for his old flame.
After striking out horribly, Ron went on the run again, avoiding Flipside agents across the world, never staying in one place long before he was tracked down again. This has lead him into many unwilling adventures.
Appearance:
Ron is a young man with green hair who wears baggy clothing to cover up his figure. His face is round, with somewhat full lips and a splatter of freckles over it. He is exceptionally slender, with little muscle mass or body fat. His outfit usually includes a hat or hood to cover the red goggles permanently attached to his skull. He has a limited wardrobe, usually wearing the same filthy jeans and hoodie, swapping that out for an equally grimy tank top and Australian bush hat when it's too hot for the hoodie.
His carapace is white with orange lines that's tightness is a constant source of angst to him. The Iron Angel is pure white armor that covers his whole body. The mask is featureless except for large red eyes and thin antennae. The eyes light up when he uses night vision or looks through cameras. Several sharp, long wings reach from his shoulders to his thighs, with four small jets among their bases.
Lost Peace is a figure shrouded in mist, floating in a lotus position but with its feet locked together by long toes. Its head appears to be hooded, the clearest feature of its body blank blue eyes lightly glowing. If one were to touch it, its skin would feel more like stone or wood than anything living, with seemingly purposefully carved furrows down its limbs. Ron usually keeps the white medal it emerges from in a strap around his hat.
Personality:
Ron manages to bury it sometimes, but he is a deeply disturbed individual. His experiences in life seem to have triggered a serious mental disorder. While he appears charming and friendly at times, any stimulus could be capable of driving him into a verbally abusive rage. Attackers should be prepared to get far more of a beating than necessary, something he seems to take far too much pleasure from. Competing to live also forced him to develop a competitive edge.
Powers:
Carapace- Based off the exoskeletons of insects, Ron’s carapace is tough but flexible. It renders his body bulletproof and difficult to penetrate, but does little against blunt force.
Iron Angel- Ron’s “exoskeleton”. A full body suit of armor like a second carapace, the main advantage of the Iron Angel is durability, the second best being flight. Ron can take attacks far beyond his base durability and fly freely and swiftly with this form, the disadvantage being that it cannot be used in baggy clothing, as the carapace must be his outermost layer. The Iron Angel can fly at mach ten, but Ron cannot control it like this, instead picking a destination and being carried by the suit. He can also use the wings as blades.
Compound eyes- A part of the Iron Angel, its mask can hack into nearby cameras of any sort. Ron can then look through them with some part of his vision. This view can be disorienting, especially when he has more than one in use. However, he can also get a better look at surrounding environments or view battles from many angles.
Hive Mind- Ron thrives in a crowd, not only drawing strength from numbers being around him but also being able to influence patterns in them. The greater the crowd, the greater his power and influence.
Swarm- A swarm of nanobots makes Ron’s insides its host. They have a wide range of purposes. They quicken healing, allow Ron to eat practically anything, and can even attack, although they die quickly outside of Ron’s body. They can even manufacture chemicals, whether naturally in a human body or not.
Gainen powers
Ron came across a Gainen medal in the Australian outback and later had it activated by Ikari. His medal is Lost Peace. Within a ratio of about 30 feet, it can conjure illusions from its target's past, things they lost and can never get back. Coming to terms with the past can nullify the effects.
Weakness:
Attitude issues- Ron has issues working in a team, as his temper and competitive streak easily get the best of him.
Appetite- Ron not only can eat anything, he really has to. His nanobots have a high demand for energy and often require odd food sources, like cans. Ron has basically turned off his taste buds for good to get through the often less than savory meals he must consume.
Electricity- In the Iron Angel form, his armor gives him no resistance to electricity and the computer functions in his mask can be interrupted by a surge of power, leaving him half blind and incapable of flight. Heat is also somewhat capable of traveling through his exoskeleton.
Morals- While a broken individual with violent rages, Ron has enough control to keep his values in check. He refuses to kill sapient life, which includes heavily altered cyborgs, aliens, and even some robots and undead. This leads to him holding back from using more lethal tricks and abilities in combat unless he's battling foes that don't meet his standards of protection.
