The angel tilted his head the moment the girl shouted at him - What did I do? - As she moved to break free as they were still being attacked - Did the harpies wound your body?!?!?
The angel was pretty confused, he didn't knew what to do. She had this weird reaction and on top of that he didn't knew exactly what she meant - Who... are Percival and Gianni? - He didn't get anything at all!
Gal! Heal her! - The boy ordered as he walked towards him, carryibg Malcom in the process - Everyone! I'll teleport us to the beach so grab Gal by his wings
You're not in shape to do that! - The angel warned as his glowing hand touched Ann's head to heal her - the damage from before and the stamina you lose now is not enough
Your protest aren't enough it seems! - The prince complained. Once by the angel's side he let Malcom. He kept the remaining harpies at diatance to let the others come back, nobody was in condition to walk all the way down from the cave to the beach, not to mention both Malcom and Ann looked worse than he did.
Miss Primrose! Mr. Cromwell! Miss Musashi! Huntsman and Bee! Come back, we're leaving! - The angel called them, as he kept his wings spread to prevent more harpies to bother them. He was tough enough to tolerate some feathers missing. He was ready to what was going to come. Derek never teleported so much people in such a distance... there were many things that could happen to the prince if he forced his own body... but he couldn't do anything right now.

Finally able to stand now, Ashlea looked on as the harpies flew away in fear. "Hahaha! And don't come back, you overgrown vultures!" She called out after them. It was then she remembered that her boyfriend was being attacked by harpies, and looked back in time to see Darek letting him down. Ashlea let out a relieved sigh, but chose to wait to reunite with Malcolm, the fire mage walking toward Ann and ignoring the angel's commentary with the dumb prince. She knelt down to address Ann directly.
“Hey uh...what’s wrong? I...don’t think anyone here is named Gianni or Perci...Pirci...whatever you just said.” Ashlea said, having no idea how to say Percival’s name. But that wasn’t a pressing issue at the moment. “So...are you ok? The harpies are gone, so we can take a break if you want.” What had gotten into this girl? And why did she yell at that angel guy? Something just wasn’t adding up here, and she needed Ann active and ready! She was one of the only strong people here she could rely on! Her eyes narrowed slightly when she noticed the state Ann was in, and how Gal was insisting on healing her, still panicking despite the harpies having left. Did the angel actually try to do something to Ann here? Ashlea saw that the harpies were attacking her and were attracted to shiny objects...so was there more to the story here?

The harpies started retreating and everyone took that moment to recuperate. Derek and the angel wanted to teleport away while Ashley suggested a break. Arthur was tempted to go along with them and just ignore the fact that the harpies took Huntsman. Unfortunately, he knew he couldn't do that.
"As tempting as it is to just leave Huntsman behind, I don't imagine Malcolm and Becky's job prospects would fare well if they left their sort-off boss behind. Someone should stay behind to look after Ann while she's recovering, but we should go rescue the pain in the neck."
With that said, Arthur created ice wings on his back and took off after the harpies carrying Huntsman. Who knows, maybe they'll even have an opportunity to grab some roc eggs up there.

Very few harpies darkened the sky at this point. Those few that remained were watching their leader's joust with Mai. When she broke the sound barrier with her tailwind, their voices raised in a cheer. They fell back to utter silence when she slammed into Mai's shield and was rebounded. Like a feathery arrow, she was embedded in the opposite wall. A great clamor rang out and every remaining harpy vanished in an instant.
Arthur swooped up with the swarm, finding himself in the midst of a raging cyclone of harpies. They parted around him, an impenetrable mass of feathers on all sides. They climbed upwards and upwards, but nowhere Arthur looked was there a sign of one holding Huntsman. Something wet came from the flurry around, splattering warmly on Arthur's hand. When he looked, he would see blood. A harpy just above him was missing one of her filth-encrusted toes.
Huntsman casually padded across the cave floor like nothing had happened. Without a though, he walked right up Derek's back and seated himself atop his newly shorn head. "You looked like you could use a crown, Prince Curly." He pointed his tail at Ann. "If you get her off the floor, I promise not to sabotague any future canoodling... at least if I'm kept otherwise occupied." A greasy smile grew on the edges of his beak.
Malcolm let go of Derek's legs and ran to tackle-hug Ashlea. "Ashlea! You're alright!" Despite being drug into the air by the harpies he was almost entirely fine, only missing a few chunks of hair and some buttons on his shirt. He squeezed Ashlea for a few seconds before pulling back and running his hands through his hair. The missing parts regrew, first as nothing but glowing strands, but fading to true hairs swiftly. "Anybody else with their hair or clothing torn, I can do something." His voice shook, but he kept himself standing with Ashlea's support. Becky, even more intact than him, peered over Ashlea's shoulder. "Make hair grow." A few black strands poked him. "Uh... you don't seem to be missing any." Malcolm ducked a little, but Becky just poked her head higher. "Make hair grow." She repeated, eyes far away.

"Hah, like we really needed to run away from those freaks" Mai replied to the angel who seemed so desperate about leaving. upon closer inspection, the encounter had already been decided.
The moment Ann heard Ashela she calmed down almost immediately, just a small sobbing was left as she looked at her.
"I...I'm fine, sorry...we can move on, I don't wanna be a nuisance"- she said while wiping off her tears, Ann broke down at times since she barely had any time to rest both mentally and physically, but she also knew how to pull through.
"Ann, you ok?"- Mai's voice called at Ann from a few meters away as she walked towards her, she didn't seem very concerned, but Mai has always been the type that doesn't care about anything.
"I'm fine...the faster we get through this cave, the better"

I don't know what I did? Did I hurt her when I catched her from the Harpies? Oh... I should have checked if she had broken ribs or something before carrying her so caressly! - The angel said worried as he tried to cover everyone with his wings once again - Jezz! They never get tired!
Well... seems everything ends well for now. I don't even know what are you sayin' Hunt - Derek said a bit annoyed by the weigh of the grotesque creature in top of him. Moving towards Ann and the others he looked at the sky before speaking - If you don't feel that right I can teleport you to the boat, at least so you can properly rest - He said, giving Hunstman to Mai - If someone doesn't feel good I can always do that - Offering his hand to Ann the boy smiled, not with arrogance like the times he talked to her before - Let's get out of here before I think this is a dungeon and start panicking too - A strange shiver ran through his hand as he said that, but he managed to fake it.
Well, if there is no problem guess its fine for us to continue... - The angel spoke as he poked Derek in the forehead. Letting his hair grow, but this time it was longer than expected. The prince's hair was now a bit longer passing his shoulders - Chloe would cut it anyway
Yeah... - The prince huffled

Arthur scanned the environment as he flew. Looking through the flock (murder? kettle?) of harpies he couldn't see the one carrying Huntsman. When he felt something drip on his arm. Red. Blood from the stump replacing a harpy's toe. Arthur sighed and his wings disappeared. He plummeted to the ground, past moulted feathers and slow harpies. Landed with a thud.
"Geez, Huntsman." He dusted himself off. "If you were down here all along, you should've meowed or something. We should get topside quickly, for Ann's sake."
Arthur rummaged through his pockets, but had to give up quickly. "I'd offer tissues," he told Ann, "But, I'm all out."

Malcolm's hug-tackle nearly knocked Ashlea over, luckily able to brace herself just in time to avoid such an unfortunate situation. She hugged him back in kind. "Yeah...I'm fine. I was mostly worried about you being carried away by those harpies!" She exclaimed. When the two broke the hug, Ashlea turned her attention back to Ann, her eyes narrowing at Ann's desire to not be a nuisance. She knew too well the feeling of not having many people to confide in...Ann apparently not trusting even Mai enough to confide in her. Though this wasn't too surprising...Mai seemed like the last person who'd be sympathetic to something like this, besides Huntsman. Glancing down at Mimi, who was idly pawing at her boots, Ashlea picked the spikey cat up and held it out toward Ann.
"Look, don't go thinking you're a nuisance just because you have some issues. While we get out of here...want to hold Mimi?" The cat just stared on with its golden eyes, not sure what to make of the situation. "Just don't try to pet against the spikes and it's pretty much a normal cat. I...wouldn't mess with her tail much though." She said, knowing Mimi isn't a fan of people messing with her tail. If Ann accepted the cat, she would find that the hairs growing on the spikes did make it feel like a soft housecat, so long as she didn't try to pet it the wrong way. A mild heat could be felt coming from Mimi's body, higher in temperature compared to most creatures and feeling like a miniature heater. Regardless if Ann accepted or not, Ashlea walked back to Malcolm and waved Becky off. "You don't need anymore hair, you weirdo. Malcolm, don't listen to her." Ashlea told him, rolling her eyes at the strange woman who wanted her boyfriend to make her hair grow even longer. While it would probably be nice to extend to range of Becky's weird attack style...it was just a silly thing to ask! Malcolm isn't some reverse barber, despite his surname!

Malcolm fiddled with his shirt as they went deeper into the cave, unhappy with how open it was with its missing buttons. “Here.” Huntsman spat out a few bone buttons into Malcolm’s palm. “Those are free cause I’m in a good mood.” Huntsman withdrew, staying firmly planted on Derek’s skull. “Th-thanks boss.” Malcolm winced and used a dash of repair magic to put the buttons onto his shirt. He realized long ago it was better not to argue with Huntsman about accepting gifts.
The cave got narrower up ahead, then very suddenly opened up into a vast entrance overlooking the sea far below. A broad ledge led off to the side, ending in a massive bramble patch. The patch contained shed feathers longer than Mai was tall in her perfect warrior form and, if one looked closely, the top of an egg poking up. That was when Malcolm realized it was no briar patch at all but the nest of the roc. The next moment, the roc itself loomed up. It looked over their heads with black eyes the size of boulders, white feathers blinding panels. It had red and aquamarine stripes that made it look like some sort of flying boat, ready to take off. It didn’t seem to notice the group, and why would it? They were puny, beneath its notice.

Ann became somewhat embarrassed from all the attention she got, she sighed a little when Arthur told her he had run out of tissues, she sure looked like a mess at this point. When Derek smiled at her and offered his hand, Ann looked away for a second unsure as to what to do. she ended up accepting Derek's hand and didn't let go of it for the rest of the time they spent in the cave.
"thank you..."- she said, not referring anyone in particular.
It was at that moment when Ashlea spoke to her. When Ann looked at Mimi her eyes shone a little, that had to be the most incredible cat she had ever seen. Ann took it with her other hand and let it rest on her shoulder, she leaned her cheek next to the cat's head as she felt its warmth, it was quite comforting for some reason.
"Are we done here? Let's get out of this shithole"- Mai replied impatiently, she knew the Roc's nest had to be close.
The moment they exited the cave Ann took a deep breath and sighed, she definitely felt much better. The virtual warrior let go of Derek, noticing she had held his hand for an uncomfortable amount of time. She was about to apologize to him but her speech was cut off the moment she saw the bird. Mai, in turn, looked incredibly happy.
"look at that majestic son of a bitch! I want one! that egg is as good as mine!"- Mai said as she looked at the Roc, ever since she saw the bird, she was obsessed with raising one herself.

Huntsman's gift of bone buttons to Malcolm made Ashlea wince slightly at the idea of wearing something's bones...let alone ones that were probably still 'attached' to Huntsman's mind. Why did Malcolm have to work for a jerk like this?! Eve was only slightly more stable and respectable, but she was also a nutcase! These reasons were why she was mostly looking at organizations like the HWIC to work for, ones that have professional standards and bosses that won't wake you up at midnight to go hunting for stupid eggs.
Once the group exited the cave, Ashlea gazed up at the magnificent bird before them. A light whistle of surprise escaped her lips. "So...there it is. And look at me, I didn't bring a big enough basket." She said sarcastically, motioning toward the egg covered in oversized feathers. Were any of them strong enough to even lift that? She supposed she could...but keeping up a transformation that size would be difficult, to say the least.
"Soooo...are we really going to try and take that? Since you know...it weighs a ton, and we are on a cliff. If you guys REALLY want to take that thing unsmashed...we need a plan." She said, observing the situation. They needed some way to get at that egg without gravely injuring the Roc, and needed to secure the egg from the cliff without smashing it. "Hey, you two tech wizards. Do either of you have a boat, by chance? Or a fotation device? Maybe even a glider?" She asked Ann and Mai, trying to look for ways they can both get the egg down safely and get away once in the water. "If not...I might have something. Malcolm probably has an idea of what I'm getting at." She stated, not wishing to divulge too much.

The group walked out of the cave and stumbled onto a cliff rising out of the sea. They followed a ledge a little further and reached a giant nest.
"Wow, I think you could fit a small village in this nest."
While the group commented on it, the Roc rose up and looked around. It didn't notice them right away and Arthur shut up. As long as they couldn't fight it, staying beneath its notice was ideal. If they can drag that giant egg out of the nest before the bird notices them, they have a massive advantage. The others didn't care so much and made his silence pointless. Arthur sighed.
"Weight shouldn't be that big of a problem," Arthur answered Ashlea. "If Ann, Mai, Becky and I work together, I'm sure we could lift it no matter how heavy it is. Getting it down though..."
The cave entrance was too narrow to roll the egg down the same way they came. Tossing it into the water would probably crack it open on impact. If it was lighter though, maybe he could fly it down slower.
"Malcolm, do you know any feather fall spells? Can you make the egg lighter so Gelerian and I could fly it down without making a very moist omelet?"

I'm strong enough to carry the egg by myself... but I'm not allowed to touch it but maybe I can change its propeties for one of a balloons... - The angel answered Arthur.
Derek by other hand, and talking about hands he didn't want to be rude at the sudden loss of touch from the girl but he couldn't deny the majestic creature in front of them was amazing. The first thinf he noticed was that yes... that thing was big and even if he tried he couldn't teleport such a big thing with him.
Maybe we should separate - The boy suggested - Team A will hide with a rock, Ashlea and Malcom could change it's appearance and make it look like an egg. Team B will take the real egg and Gal would make it lighter so we can move it faster, team A will move immediatly to bring the false egg so the big mama doesn't notice. How does that sound? - The prince suggested, still trying to get Huntsman off of his head

“Ashlea can’t disguise a rock, dumbass,” Huntsman flicked Derek’s ear with his tail. “She transforms living things, she doesn’t illusion inanimate shit.” Malcolm’s attention was pulled aside by Ashlea before he could weigh in. “Can you do that and keep your… you know, clothes?” He asked, turning a deep cherry red. Becky just slipped away, moving with strange stealth for her size to close in on the nest. “Come on, it’s simple,” Huntsman proudly sat up on Derek’s head so as to stand out. “The angel will make it light with some more help from Malcolm. Then Mai moves it down the cliffside while the rest of us distract the roc. Easy peasy!” He finished. Before any further debate could be held, the roc stepped up onto the side of its nest and looked down upon them. It stared at these tiny intruders with one enormous eye and let loose a wail that shook the mountainside. They had been given their warning.

"We are gonna have to carry this all the way down, It's too large for the teleport device...I think I'll just use the mirror" Mai replied after listening to Huntsman's plan, the Roc arriving back at the nest didn't seem to change Mai's mind whatsoever, she moved right towards the egg as she began digging herself below it in order to carry it, once she was right under it, she materialized her sacred treasure, the shield-shaped mirror acted as a small plate for the massive egg. the cries of the bird just made Mai laugh as she kept doing her job.
"Cry all you want you stupid bird, as long as I have the egg, you can't attack me!"
Mai ordered the mirror to push upwards and hover, while she herself pushed as well, but without perfect warrior, Mai was hardly at full strength, she began to slowly move the egg out of the nest and towards the group.
"Damn, this thing is heavy...I'M FUCKING WAITING FOR THE SPELL OVER HERE!"
Ann moved to the side, ready to do her part.
"We don't have time to waste! whoever can fly should help me distract it!"-The virtual warrior said as she jumped a good 10 meters and then kicked the air yet again to gain to height, she took out a flare gun and shot past the bird's eye, looking to grab its attention with that.

The question made Ashlea balk for a second in embarrassment. "Wha...of course I can! Get those weird thoughts out of your head!" She said to Malcolm, closing her eyes for a few seconds and taking a deep breath to calm herself down. The brief calm she managed to give herself was then shattered when she saw Mai materialize a strange mirror, and begin to move the egg after tunneling underneath the ground. Ashlea stared on with her jaw agape. "...you idiot...we are on a cliff! You could have just dug yourself into thin air!" Why was she surrounded by weirdos...?
It looked like the action had started, so Ashlea turned to Gal and pointed toward the egg. "Ok...you said you could make that thing lighter, right? Go...help her out, please." The fire mage was clearly trying to keep her composure. Why did that idiot run in before they were done making a plan?! Ann appeared to be trying to get the Roc's attention, so Ashlea turned to Arthur and motioned toward the Roc. "And...help her out, please. We're going to need as much distraction as we can get."
With her megar preparations out of the way, Ashlea turned toward the Roc and began charging up her mana into her hand, readying a fireball should it ignore Ann and try to protect its egg from Mai instead. While the fireball would probably not do much against the Roc, it would at least distract it for a few seconds.

God damn that white-haired Musashi. Did she have to rush ahead before they had a plan? Especially when the bird was getting leery and hostile. It's not like this was a fight they could have. Not unless they wanted the wrath of a fire god unleashed upon them. Arthur certainly did not. He didn't need to be told to serve as a distraction for the fool. He'd already thought about it when Ashlea instructed him.
"On it."
Ice wings formed on his back and he flew straight towards the bird's face and tried landing on its beak, just for a second before using it as a springboard to fly higher up. He hoped the bird would see him as a threat and follow him.

There you go! - The angel said pulling one of the feathers in his wings, pressing his palms together it turned into a thin dust that he blowed towards the egg.
The prince by other hand observed how everybody moved, he couldn't fly neither carry the egg with such ease as his hands began to hurt once again - Dammit... - He said as he tried to don't touch anything. Gallerian by other hand after helping Mai, he went by Ann's side immediatly - Should I transform in a Roc? Maybe a big bait should work...

The roc snapped at Arthur like a dog trying to catch a fly. Its beak clacked like two boulders slamming into one another with each bite. Awkwardly it shuffled on the ground to follow him, but it stopped when Mai scooped its single egg from the ground. Finally its attention went fully to the people on the ground behind it.
One wing stretched out and the winds of the world stirred. One time it sweeped back. Winds that put a hurricane to shame whipped across the surface of the cliff. Huntsman vanished with a noise that went something like “glep!” and Malcolm began to tumble back before Becky lunged forth from a crevice to entangle him in black strands of hair and reel him in. “Safe.” She informed him before the roc flapped again and she had to cling to the cliff wall again.

"a roc?! if it attacks you we are gonna have more problems!"- Ann told Gal as the creature began to flap its wings, the virtual warrior equipped her spartan armor which anchored her to the ground, she was hanging in there with the weight of the armor and her grip. Were the other guys gonna be ok?!
The spell lightened the load for Mai, but she was hardly having a good time, she had materialized her titanium armor, and had to do quick shifts in weight as the bird flapped around creating extremely powerful gusts of wind, the weight on her armor and the egg was building up as she began to bleed from the nose, the sudden shifts in balance threatened to drop her along with the egg.
"FUCK! what the hell are you guys doing?! GET THAT BIRD AWAY FROM HERE!"- Musashi said as she barely gave a few steps forward. As things were, she was not gonna be able to carry that egg for long.
