“FWEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!”
Eve sat bolt upright in her bed, ears ringing. Quickly her eyes adjusted to the dim light in her room. Huntsman and Becky stood at the foot of her bed, wearing matching costumes. They were marching band costumes, standing out even in darkness as pastel yellow in Becky’s case and pink in Huntsman’s. Becky blew into the whistle around her neck again, piercing Eve’s ears. “For fuck’s sake Becky, knock it off! What time is it!?” She cast about for her clock. 12:01, angry red letters declared. “It’s Egg Day, the holiest of days!” Huntsman threw back long blonde hair and grinned down at his boss. “...one, it’s called Easter. Two, you hate religion. What are you doing?” Eve rocked her way out of bed, turning feet into boots before they reached the floorboards.
“Making an egg patrol for the world’s greatest eggs, obviously. Becky’s the leader.” Huntsman pointed to the baton she held. Becky chirped her whistle and spun her baton. “We’re going to make a fucking amazing breakfast, wanna come?” Huntsman knelt on the bed next his sister. A moment later, both were thrown out on their asses. “Dang. Guess we’ll just take Malcolm.” Huntsman stood and approached the secretary’s room. “No Ariana?” Becky cocked her head. “Eh, we just need Malcolm for his cooking skills. The kid lit the kitchen on fire last time she tried to cook.” Huntsman casually picked the lock with a bone spur and swung open the door.
“Congratulations Malcolm, you’ve earned yourself an adventure!” Huntsman grabbed Malcolm right out of his bed. “Huh? Wah?” Malcolm blinked sleep from his eyes, trying to process the noisy pastel demons harassing him. “Get dressed, we’re going to get eggs!” Huntsman fished some sky blue clothes out of Malcolm’s door and threw them. He and Becky left the confused cook alone to get dressed. Malcolm stared into space as he processed what was going on. There was no way they were just going shopping. What crazy danger were they dragging him into? He glanced at his phone, lying on his bedside table. After a moment’s hesitation, he grabbed it.
A few minutes later, he stumbled out of his room. Huntsman poked Becky’s ribs. “He made a call to his girlfriend, so I’ll let you bring a second along too.” Huntsman completely ignored Malcolm’s clear humiliation at being listened in on. Becky mutely nodded and fished out her cell phone as Huntsman opened up a teleport scroll. “Make the call at the harbor! We’re going!” Wherever they ended up, it was still night. They sat on a rocky shore, mountains behind them and more mountains across the water. “Where are we going?” Malcolm yawned. “A special preserve for Hidden World creatures. I have a permit to harvest some eggs. Space is limited, so some of them need population control. But remember; it’s eggs only. As much as it may be tempting, if we kill anything we’ll be kicked out.” Huntsman’s voice lowered into a grouchy growl at the implication of rules. As he spoke, a boat had pulled up to shore.
Overall, it was a regular old fishing boat, chipped white paint and rust and big black letters calling it Betty. However, it was more worn than any ship that should be floating. Holes were worn in the hull with seaweed growing from them, barnacles encrusting the surface around them. The captain appeared, clearly not there before. He, or it, stood humanoid but far from human. He was composed entirely of seaweed, somehow constrained in a yellow raincoat. No eyes looked from under the broad rubber hat it wore, just a gaping grin, filled with teeth formed of broken seashells. Malcolm hid behind Becky, eyes widening. “We have to ride on that? With that!?” He shook like a feather in stormy weather. “Well how else would you get to a magically hidden island? A normal boat? Buck up, Pinky.” Huntsman chuckled, looming over the conscripted cook. Malcolm’s mouth was too dry to swallow, so he just grabbed his phone and texted his location to Ashlea, marked with a large “HURRY”.

Arthur woke up suddenly to the sound of his phone ringing. "Hello?" he mumbled groggily. Becky's voice made him more alert, her request made him incredulous, and a lack of better judgment made him decide to join them.
"Be there in half an hour." He got out of bed, stretched with lethargic movements, put on his mission outfit and jumped out of the window. He landed on an ice platform, jumped up higher into the air and created wings of ice which carried him over to the straits of Gibraltar. He spent the twenty-minute flight coming up with excuses for why doing this at this hour wasn't a stupid idea. For one, he still didn't like Becky and Huntsman being a thing so he could keep an eye on them. Becky would also appreciate him joining them. And that's all he could come up with.
The fresh air woke him up by the time he reached the crew. "A magical boat ride, you say? I thought you guys were just going to rob a chicken coop or something, but now this sounds interesting."

"-and so I told him the issue was he used too many chimera fang powder in his mixture, and he said there was no problem! So yeah, not helping my brother with homework again." Ashlea frustratedly told her friend, Audrey. Audrey was a tall, slender girl at Gateway with long blond hair flowing down to her mid-back. "I am sure he will appreciate your assistance later. Sometimes you must let people fail, no?" Audrey politely said. Ashlea let out a huff and rolled her eyes. "Yeah yeah yeah...either way, I'll let him ask me next time he wants help! See you later, Audrey!" Ashlea turned and entered her dorm room, Audrey waving and walking down the stone spiral staircase.
Ashlea tossed her purse onto the bed and pulled her phone out, covered in a shiny maroon cover on the outside. "Hm...? Why is Malcolm calling me...?" She muttered to herself. Looking at the clock, Ashlea saw that it was currently 5:05, meaning it was past midnight for him in the UK. Pressing the green button, Ashlea answered the phone. "Heeeeeeey! Why aren't you sleeping?" Ashlea asked in a fake annoyed voice sitting on top of her bed. She listened to him explain the situation, the frown on her head growing deeper throughout the conversation. "Uh huh...yeah, no. I'll be there as soon as I can. Be careful, alright? Bye bye." Ashlea pressed the red button to end the call and glared at the full-length mirror at the opposite side of the room. "Dragging him out at midnight...and it's with Huntsman and Becky?! Uuuuuuuuugh!" Marching over to her closet, Ashlea began to get dressed for the new adventure she was going to rescue her boyfriend from.
Finally stepping out after several minutes of deciding what was both cute and practical to wear, Ashlea admired her new attire. A black long-sleeve shirt with frilly cuffs that flared out to her wrists, and a pair of grey pants underneath a maroon skirt with subtle rose patterns designed in the garment. She wore a pair of black knee-high boots on her feet. Ashlea adjusted her dark red hair and looked at her phone. "Hm...? Hurry? Oh come on!" Ashlea angrily grabbed a teleport scroll she bought from Penny, one of Malcolm's mothers who sells teleport scrolls to her at a discount, and teleported to the station just outside the sanctuary. After a small amount of jogging, Ashlea finally managed to find the group and took stock of the people there. Becky and Malcolm were easy enough to spot, the blond lady was probably the perverted shapeshifter, and the final person didn't seem familiar.
Marching up to the group, Ashlea positioned herself between Huntsman and Malcolm before pointing directly at Huntsman. "You! Why the heck would you drag Malcolm out to the middle of nowhere at this time of the night! He is only supposed to work from 9 to 5! I have talked with Eve numerous times about this!" Ashlea said to the shapeshifter, remembering the various arguments she had over the months over her overworking Malcolm. "So is Malcolm getting overtime for this little...adventure?" Ashlea drew out her last word accusingly, looking at Huntsman for answers.

"So, yeah, I finally managed to get a pass for egg day and I will gladly go with my dear sister! how cool is that?!! Just the two of us on a journey!" Mai said to Akane as the Heir of Musashi sat down across her room.
"Ok, number 1, I don't know how you managed to get inside my room, number 2, Just because I know how to cook doesn't mean I will go with you and number 3, I am not a bishokuya, so go bother Osechi with that"- Mai grumbled as her sister refused, it seems she didn't know Osechi at all!
"That girl can eat as much as father you know?! I could capture a hundred eggs and she wouldn't leave a single one for me! and before you mention Soon, she already refused cause I told her she cannot kill the animals there!"
Akane sighed, her sister was starting to get on her nerves, she had to come up with a solution fast! suddenly a thought came to her mind, there was someone who would be so crazy as to accept going with her!
"Why don't you ask Ann, she could fancy the Bishoku line of work...plus, she can cook better than me."
Mai disappeared almost immediately when Akane mentioned Ann could cook, this was bliss for the Musashi.
Command center of Musashi Castle
"We are going on a mission, Ann! pack your stuff!" Mai said as she stormed inside the facility, the virtual warrior looked at her weirdly, as she was already doing support work.
"Mission?? I thought you wanted me to help out Tenjin! in fact, I think he does need some help on the field! 20 demons might be too much for him! please deploy me to his location!"
"He will be fine! now let's get out of here!" Mai said as she dragged Ann out of her chair, they had to leave soon, as the magic boat would wait for no one.
The aircraft of the Musashi arrived at its destination, Mai jumped down a good 10 meters and Ann followed, breaking her fall mid-air with a surreal double jump, it would seem some people had already arrived at the scene, Ann wondered what could be so important as to gather multiple HW aware on the same place
"You didn't mention what was the mission, Mai..." Ann asked worried by the looks of the people there, some appeared to be quite strong.
"Ah right, we are gonna capture some eggs! now...stick close to me if you don't want to die" Mai answered as she walked towards the rest of the group, The Musashi was wearing an all-black attire with a black baseball cap while Ann wore a black military outfit, her patch was black and gold as well, sporting the crest of the Musashi.
"Yo!" Mai saluted to the others as she kept walking
"And here I was wondering if someone else was gonna show up! I'm Mai Musashi, this is Ann, looks like we'll be making you some company"

Inside the small café located in Amsterdam, which still was closed, one single member of the staff was cheering for their opportunity to enter the hidden island, whose eggs were something amazing for recipes. Chloe had used them several times once a few years but those times she had to pay ridiculous amounts of money to have them, but thankfully this time the Sunny Smile Café got an especial pass!!
I can't believe it! - The cheerful tall man would comment, as he clapped his hands. Gallerian was happy, being able to go to the Island... It was going to be his first time...
But neither Thomas or Chloe were around to invite them, originally, Chloe bought two tickets for him and herself but she was still in Heaven and the young priest was taking missions in the Vatican.
The only one Gallerian could rely was on his protected one, the banned prince of another magical hidden island.
He slowly went to the boy's bedroom, pillows scattered all over the floor and plenty of them still on the bed, a bookshelf filled with chemistry and magical theory books.
The man turned himself in a black fluffly cat, climbing in the bed as he moved near his "owner". Purring at the blonde's face, who moved a little and tried to accommodate himself to the other side. Small paws stepped on his hair accompanied with meows.
Gal, what'ya want? - The teenager grumbled a little, his voice sleepy and annoyed.
I need your company for Eggs Day, since no one except you and I can go, remember? - The cat said slowly and softer, so the still half-asleep boy could understand. He didn't like bother Derek in the middle of his sleep, but it was something necessary otherwise a slot would be wasted.
With a lot of patience, Gal managed to wake up the grumpy Irish. The angel managed to put the boy into his clothing and also he put in the boy a coat and a scarf, worried that in the middle of dawn was colder than expected.
After everything was ready, the man carried the still not awake prince in his back, still accomodating the boy so he won't bother the angel's wings while flying, how cute, Derek was still a child after all. It didn't take more than half an hour to reach near the boats, where people was already gattering around.
He landed and tried to wake up his companion again. Still grumpy, the boy and his guardian went with the others. Derek didn't say a single word, as he tried his best in keeping his eyes open including to prevent his head to tilt to one side and another.
Gallerian by other hand greeted everyone - Glad we came just in time! Hello everyone, I'm the angel Gallerian and this is young master Derek Van Dercycle! - He happily introduced both of them as he hid his wings, his black hair in contrast compared to his white skin, blue saturated eyes with a lot of curiosity and god vibes in them, as he was wearing military pants, boots and a black shirt with neck. Derek by other hand was wearing his usual jeans, a pair of grey booots, a long brown coat and the blue scarf, if it wasn't by the fact he was frowning and still had his bed-hair, he would look like a descent and almost lovely boy.

"A chicken coop would be beneath us. A cockatrice coop? Now we're talking." Huntsman grinned at the recently landed Arthur, mouth quickly flipping upside down when Becky hugged the short mage. "A Levant Cockatrice can lay up to three eggs a day in proper circumstances." She helpfully offered information. "Thanks Becky. Oh, there's Pinkey's squeeze." Huntsman's eyes caught the flash of Ashlea's teleportation in. He gleefully leered at her even as she berated him.
"Yeah, you discussed it with Eve so discuss it with her again. I'm not in charge of signing paychecks or listening to annoying girlfriends. Or, better yet, you could make him do it himself and maybe make him grow a spine." Air sacks inflated in his own spine to give him a few extra inches over Ashlea, looming and showing off needle-like fangs mixed in with a regular set of teeth. Malcolm blushed and cowered behind Ashlea, not helping Huntsman's opinion of him. The monster only stopped when the faint sound of plane engines touched his ears.
Huntsman turned to face the approaching plane, noticing the flying angel not far from it. "Ugh, an angel." He bristled before he even noticed who the angel carried. When he did notice, his tongue split into a thousand screaming snakes. "You! You insufferable little brat! I'll make an omelette with your brains!" He raised a hand, halfway through transforming into something incomprehensible when a soggy wad of seaweed splattered on his face. "No cooperate with other passengers, no passage!" The captain yelled at him from atop the boat. Huntsman stood stock still for a moment until his hand snapped back to normal.
"Hi. I'm Huntsman. I kept this prince of yours alive and regret it every day. What's your name, you deified sycophant?" He didn't even wipe away the soggy plants from his face as he held out a hand to shake Gallerian's. Becky had released Arthur to keep a close eye on the savage creature, making sure that hand didn't do anything unexpected to the unsuspecting angel's. "Still want eggs." She warned. "Yeah, yeah." Huntsman rolled his eyes, focus on the two women dropping from the plane. "A Musashi? The Walmart of monster hunting, of all people. Big, impersonal, stomping on the little guy..." Huntsman moaned before getting a good look at the two approaching. "Although that's not always a bad thing." He disengaged from Gal and swept over to the Musashi agents.
"Huntsman, Wild Hunt. Becky, also Wild Hunt. Other people as well, but they don't matter." His right hand split to shake with both. Their scents caught his attention. Mai's was nice, mingled with the scent of another woman, a human by the smell of it, or something close at least. More interesting was Ann. She was human, but there was the faintest whiff of something familiar about her. Two somethings. Both of them had a smell he recognized from Gen's medal back on that dumb fascist island. But that wasn't what he was picking up. Oh well. Maybe he'd have more time to sniff later. For now he just admired the eyepatch. She was a real fighter to get that kind of injury. "Boat's full." Becky observed. "All the customers is here! Getton!" The captain called, Malcolm hesitating on the edge of shore. It wasn't the most trustworthy looking vessel, even without this kind of crowd.

Becky hugged Arthur as soon as he landed. Part of him wanted to rub it in Huntsman's face. The other did not dare look at Huntsman because it would risk bringing back his/her memories. "Levant cockatrice? Never heard of those, but I'm gonna guess they're from Levant. So we shouldn't expect those, should we?"
More people soon joined. Arthur didn't recognize any of them, and he was pretty sure Becky's group didn't invite them all. His attention was caught by Huntsman mentioning the name Musashi. Famous monster hunters, their name was hard to miss even if Arthur never had a chance to meet any of them. But didn't Becky say they weren't actually allowed to hunt any of the monsters?
"If we're ready, I guess we should load up. We'll have time to introduce ourselves on the boat; it doesn't look like a very fast vessel."
Arthur noticed the pink-haired guy hesitating before stepping on and recognized him as the kid who hid under a table when Arthur went to confront Eve about Ariana, a memory that only grew more bitter after the events in Mexico. He didn't look much braver in this situation than he did back then. Arthur put a hand on Malcom's back. "Don't worry, kid. Even if it's not fast, I'm sure it's held up by competent magic. I don't think the boatman wants to drown any more than you do." Then Arthur hopped on the boat and took a seat.

*What the fuck...* Ann thought to herself upon looking at huntsman's hand split in half, she had seen some weird stuff in the last year, but this was a new one. Mai smirked upon hearing the names, one definitely ringed a bell and the organization was quite infamous, Mai bumped Ann shoulder to shoulder in order to grab her attention.
"Hey Ann, did you hear that? that's Huntsman! the guy Soon talks about all the time! she is gonna be super jealous when she hears we met him! anyway, it's kinda weird seeing you here, aren't you like, the head of the wild hunt? always wanted to meet you guys in person really, I guess the boss has to step in from time to time when your organization is so-"
Ann wasn't so eager to know more about them, clearly, there was something ominous to them both, the virtual warrior suddenly interrupted Mai
"Time to go, we can talk more while on the boat, please excuse us" she said as she dragged her by the arm, "W-wait I'm not done talking!" Mai replied as she tried to resist but the virtual warrior had an iron grip, she kept moving forward without even trying as Mai uselessly struggled to break free, she finally picked the Musashi up and jumped into the boat
"jeez stop picking me up for everything!! what was that?!"
Ann looked back at those two, she knew they meant trouble, and Mai had a habit of not shutting her mouth, so the combination was potentially lethal. she began typing into the virtual machine comms to speak privately with Mai.
"You were gonna tell them their organization was small, weren't you?"
"I was gonna use the word puny but what of it?!"
"Are you trying to get us killed?! do you even know how high the level of those two appear on my virtual machine?! behave yourself, Mai! forget about Akane, your father is gonna skin you alive if he finds the wild hunt has problems with the Musashi, now go socialize with the rest"
"fine! I still don't know how nee-san who is just a royal guard can scold one of the five rings! I'm technically your boss you know?!"
"Keep acting like that and your dad will give your seat, now go have some fun," Ann went back to speak with Becky, she really felt like apologizing even though the worst had been omitted
"Please forgive my little sister, she is sometimes quite impulsive, it can be a pain to have her in check"
Mai headed towards the others with a lot less enthusiasm, she looked at Gallerian and Derek, who seemed to be far less intimidating, surely Ann wouldn't complain if she spoke with them?
"Hey, what's up with you guys? are you from some organization as well or something?!"
Ann glanced back at Mai, The virtual warrior immediately knew this was gonna be a long journey.

Gallerian's smile dropped a little when he heard Huntsman's words. Still the... girl? He sensed it wasn't exactly a female who greeted him but, she was already gone. Holding Derek so he couldn't fall and hit his head, the angel jumped into the boat, and once inside the man sat on the floor so he could made appear one of his wings, so his protected one could steep calmly. He waited for the others to arrive as he observed Derek's sleeping face, so innocent and always behaving so good... or... at least when he was around. He tilted his head without understanding Huntsman's tantrum. Younger creatures surely are energic and without much patience. That's what he thought most of the time.
He observed as two girls jumped in the boat as well... He didn't knew any of them but they smelled different... it was the smell of blood, but not completely human, it was the smell of different creatures. This girl was a monster hunter. It didn't bother him at all, since, knowing that the cycle of life had to involve death to bring life he was already used to the sins in the mortals. However it did hurt him knowing that another beings were killed, even if they were evil or a treat to other living creatures. With a smile on his lips, the angel covered the boy with his wing as an instinct, still he was gently to the girl who was trying to meet them.
Oh, no, no. We're from a little hidden world Café - The man explained, eyes curious in the girl and the other one, and then he grabbed a small card from his pocket - Here! This is from our lovely Sunny Smile Café, it's in Amsterdam - He said, proud of his place.
So noisy... - Derek complained as he acommodated himself in the angel's wing, the boy was a sleepyhead, as the angel chuckled softly

"Excuuuuuuuuuse me?!" Ashlea said, glaring at Huntsman when he insulted Malcolm and called her annoying. Huntsman's intimidation tactic only made Ashlea glare further at him, though it appeared that he decided to move onto other people. Just how many people were going on this trip? Walking next to Malcolm, Ashlea began to talk with him. "Ok, I'm not getting anything out of him. Are you alright? Do you have any idea who these people are?" Ashlea asked, motioning toward the new arrivals. Arthur referring to Malcolm as 'kid' made her frown slightly, since he looked younger than Malcolm! The Mai and Ann looked like complete brutes, Gallerian looked...strange, and Derek looked like a lowlife. What a team.
Turning back to Malcolm, Ashlea frowned slightly and motioned toward the boat. "Ok, so, it looks like this thing isn't mandatory for you. So I am going to give you a choice; tell these people to have fun and I'll take you back, or you can stay and I'll try to make sure nobody here destroys endangered animals." The last part of her sentence grew deeper in tone, Ashlea getting annoyed at the prospect of these idiots hurting animals for as dumb a cause as 'wanting eggs'. To be truthful, Ashlea would prefer it if they just went back and left the crazies do their little adventure.

Becky shrugged. "Maybe meet. Maybe not." She jumped to stand next to the captain, who laughed at Arthur. "Not drown! Am man of ocean!" He proudly put his thumb to his chest. "But no. No passengers drown. That rule one." He proudly puffed out his chest, leaning on the wheel. "Ugh, I hate rules." Huntsman growled. "Then do not ship. Rule two is you not harm animals. Rule three is you not harm each other. Island god deal with you if break." The captain poked Huntsman's chest, earning a dangerous glare. "Huntsman." Becky warned, drawing him over to the railing. "Troublesome ones every year. You two hurry, time is now." The captain waved to Malcolm and Ashlea. Malcolm hesitated. It seemed like a god could handle these guys if they caused any trouble, and Malcolm hardly wanted to spend time with them. On the other hand... "I... want to try cooking these special eggs for you." Malcolm stepped into the boat. "With you and all these other really strong people around, I'm sure I'll be okay." His voice quivered as the boat took off, far faster than it looked like it should be able too. The boat rocked in horrible ways as it took off into clear water. Malcolm clung to Ashlea for balance and comfort while Huntsman and Becky crouched at the rail, watching the water go by. Soon their view was blocked by fog, coming out of nowhere. "What's happening?" Malcolm cowered. "Not worry. We are arriving." The captain pointed and the fog faded. "Magical travel, kid." Huntsman patted his shoulder, rolling his eyes.
Daylight hit like a wrecking ball, sky and water bluer than blue. The island stuck from the water like a spire, mountain at one end scraping the clouds. Pale green covered the rest of the lowlands, scrub and short trees. The boat skipped over the water even more violently until it pulled up next to the island. "All island allowed except for god house. Come back here when done." Once everybody was on shore, the ship sank into the water. "...it's not even deep enough for it to fit down there." Huntsman observed, tempted to jump in and look for it.
Becky instead turned to the island, drawing in a deep breath. A wind from the mountains made ripples in the grass, waving the branches of short, twisted trees. She turned her head up and her eyes slowly rose up the mountain. In the lower peaks, she could see what looked like massive thickets of brambles. But higher, on the top peak, she saw something more clear. It was shaped like a Greek temple, pillared walls carved right out of the mountain itself. It was impossible to see detail from here, but light seemed to pour from between the pillars, lighting the island. "God house." Becky said, pointing.

Arthur sat on the railing, one leg casually raised on the gunwale. With supernatural agility, some ice magic, and a strong desire to show off, he kept his balance there perfectly despite the violent rocking of the boat.
"I'm Arthur, by the way. Arthur Cromwell, ice mage, at your service," he finally introduced himself.
When they finally landed, Arthur jumped off the ship and looked around. The vivid colors, the wrong time of day, and the unusual shape lead to one conclusion. "Yeah, this is certainly a magic island." Becky's comment drew his attention to the temple high above.
"God house indeed. Greek by the looks of it. Is this where Artemis is supposed to be? Or whatever poor sod represented hunting before Artemis kicked him to the curb and took over. I'm tempted to go check if there are god eggs over there. But, maybe let's not." Arthur then turned to Huntsman. "You two came up with this egg hunt. Where should we look first?"

Mai immediately jumped out of the boat, that was certainly a fast ride, though not as fast as teleportation.
"hah, Magic is just tech for the poor, that shit is like cheating really, never liked it, never will."- she uttered not caring whether anyone heard her or not.
Ann simply followed as she made a pistol appear, this was the first time she visited a magic island, so she was incredibly curious as to what could be around.
"Well yeah I can't say I like magic a lot really, all it has ever brought me is pain...this place looks promising though, it already looks better than most underground tombs I've been to, it's also a lot less likely to find undead here in the open I guess"
"scared of the dead or something Ann? not quite what i expected from a royal guard"- Mai said making fun of Ann as she looked around the place, trying to even guess where to start
"Oh shut up, I have died like four times this year Mai, and those werent even peaceful deaths! those monsters always try to give you the most horrible and painful deaths! not to mention my eye! do you know when I'm gonna be able to get a boyfriend looking like this? never!"Ann replied as she showed Mai her massive scar over what was her eye.
"Don't be a crybaby! look! there is a Greek temple there! what if Aphrodite or some demigods live there?"
"We are not going to the temple Mai! what do you even know about Greek gods anyway?!"
Mai immediately turned around, she wasn't really into Greek Mythology, but there was something she knew quite well.
"I've met one before you know?! they are super hot"
Ann knew there was no way she could convince Mai, but perhaps they could pick some eggs and do the actual mission as they headed there.
"...we can go in that direction but we are definitely not going all the way to the temple ok?!"
"Fiiine, should we tell those people to join us tho?" - Mai said as she pointed at the rest of the group that came with them.

Gallerian almost squealed when he heard there was God's house. The angel happily exited the boat as his companion woke up at the sudden change of the wheater and the bright sun embracing him. Derek stretched as he yawned, feeling now more energic as before when they first introduced themselves. His eyes observed the new company as he inspected the place, it didn't cost him to understand they were in a hidden and magical island.
Maybe we shoul go to the house, Gal - The boy finally spoke, ignoring everyone else - I bet there is at least a Driaochta book in there
Gallerian's face went serious in the moment the boy finished his suggestion, walking to be right in front of the prince, the angel used a different tone, surprising the blonde - Without invitation we can't enter there. As well I don't sense any driaochta magic in the whole island except yours.
... Ok, no need to be so harsh - It was until he heard Arthur's introduction, an ice mage he said? He looked at him, his appearance remind him of Thomas, small with that childish face, but something was off. Derek noticed that the mage wasn't really a child, still, he felt the need to bother the other when he casted his spells. Derek snapped his fingers, making appear little blue sparks in them.
The angel returned to his habitual mood, going closer to their team so he could speak to them a little, or at least be around them. So much new people made him happy - Everyone, let me tell you that if you feel unsure about an egg, let me check them to make sure there are no developed fledglings in them! - He happily commented.
Derek payed attention to his guardian's words, he knew the man could see inside certain element such as shells, it wasn't that necessary but it was helpfull while making breakfast since some eggs had small blood spots on them. Of course, it lead to consoling the angel since "It was a poor baby that didn't had enough time to grow up". He inmediatly snapped, Gallerian wasn't allowed to touch the eggs!! If he did that he would go all Angel-Of-Creation-Mode and try to hatch every fricking egg! He needed to be careful now, to avoid Gal from doing whatever he wanted and to carry as many eggs as possible... This was going to be so damn hard and Derek was already predicting it.

"...huh?" Ashlea asked in mild surprise. Malcolm wanted to cook her some of these eggs? Would they even taste good? She did appreciate the gesture though, and leaving him alone with all these weirdos wasn't something Ashlea wanted to do. Stepping in the boat, Ashlea grabbed onto the side as it began to wildly speed through the water. "Is this really necessary?!" Ashlea asked nobody in particular, annoyed at the reckless captain and Arthur showing off by standing upright during the trip.
Once they finally arrived on shore, Ashlea stood upright, wobbling slightly from the sudden change in speed. "Uuuuugh. Yeah, that's smart. Go into the place with the supposed deity that will lash out if you all screw up. Sounds like a great idea." Ashlea said sarcastically. She then turned her attention Gallerian. "Check if there are developing fledglings? I take it you know about hidden world zoology?" Smiling confidently, Ashlea placed her fingers above her chest. "Oh, where are my manners? My name is Ashlea Primrose, student of Gateway and hidden world animal expert. Pleasure to meet you, Gallerian." It was nice to have her knowledge be useful for a scenario like this. "Now, unless you all want to annoy the person in this 'god house', might I suggest we start this little adventure?" She asked the group. A small frown appeared on her face when she looked at the surroundings. Fire magic isn't going to be good in a wooded place such as this.

“Nobody is going to that house! What kind of maniac wants to meet a god? They’re all tyrannical narcissists who literally think everybody should kneel down and worship them. And think for a second, snowball. What jerk would set up a hunting god on a nature preserve?” Huntsman mocked, sneering at Arthur as he passed, marching into the scrub. Why did a featherhead even want to check out pagan gods?
He listened in on the conversation between the Musashi agents out of curiosity, ears perking up at what they said. Little changes overcame his face, making absolute certain he looked entirely human as he walked up to them. “Magic and technology are both crutches for creatures without claws and fangs.” He swaggered right up, hand shifting through an endless kaleidoscope of forms to show off his abilities. “As for your eye, I have absolutely no problem with it. The eyepatch makes you stand out.” He was half-lying. It did remind him a little of two of his least favorite people, but he could live with that. What was driving him nuts was that whiff of somebody else on her. Just what was that?
Becky looked down as she passed them. She apparently didn’t find much interesting in the targets of Huntsman’s flirtations and moved on into the scrub. She was quickly lost in tall grass, crawling ahead on all fours. Normally Huntsman’s nose would be leading the way, but he was too distracted. She wasn’t surprised, and she didn’t entirely mind. He’d peel himself away when things got serious, if only to show off. Her red hair turned black and began moving like hundreds of tentacles, reaching out into the grass to function like feelers.
Malcolm spend his first few seconds on shore getting used to the ground not moving. The rough ship ride had stirred him up and his organs hadn’t quite resettled. After a few deep breaths, he looked around at his surroundings and teammates. “I’m Malcolm Barber. I guess I’m the cook.” He extended a shaking hand to the angel. He hadn’t been to church in a long time, and seeing an actual angel made him wonder if that was a bad idea. He had been carrying a cross to ward off Amai, but that really wasn’t the same.
“Found something. Levant cockatrice.” Becky poked her head up from the grass and Huntsman grinned wider than any human could. “Ohhhh, that’s a good start.” Huntsman rubbed his palms as Becky lead the way. It wasn’t long before they came across what Becky was talking about. There were two cockatrices, sitting across from each other in nests made grass, each shaded by a tree.
They were vaguely like chickens in build, with plump bodies and thick necks, but they were the size of large dogs. One lifted her head, showing off a black crest and pouch on her throat. “Poison.” Becky whispered, pointing at the pouch. Raucous cries, like a normal rooster remixed with a falling elevator, came from the grove opposite the group. “Male. Bigger. Avoid him.” She added.

"I...I see", Ann replied somewhat flustered after hearing that, it had been a while since someone complimented her on her appearance, unfortunately, she shook it off almost immediately after, as she remembered she was getting a compliment from a monster, how could that even be a good thing?
Mai showed Huntsman her nails right after he stopped talking and bragging about his bioweaponry, she replied eyeing him from time to time as she spoke
"Hey, I'm proud of my pedicure as well you know? It might not be as elegant as that swiss knife you have for a hand, but I bet it can smash just as good"
The conversation was then interrupted as they had located what appeared to be cockatrice tracks, things were gonna get interesting soon.
"Levant cockatrice huh? you are telling me that's a cockatrice?, I thought they were bigger...well, no problems their poison, I will smash those two with my mirror from afar and proceed to take the eggs"
"Yeah, no, you aren't taking out that shield " Ann immediately replied, "I want your virtual machine offline for the rest of this mission, God is not gonna be smiting our butts just because you killed two oversized chickens!"
Ann wondered about the rules of this Island, would the use of tranquilizers count as harming the animal? it wasn't clear enough!

"A smart one!" Arthur answered Huntsman's mockery. "Hunting also means knowing animals, so you could use your knowledge in reverse and help the animals prosper. Besides, as far as we know the only reason we aren't allowed to kill them could be because it's a god's private hunting spot."
Arthur watched Huntsman go flirt with the Musashi and shook his head. Can he not just focus on more pressing matters right now? Well, as long as he's not being with Becky, it's fine. Arthur still couldn't believe Ariana actually lived with the bastard. Speaking of whom, how is Ariana doing? Arthur was going to ask Becky, but she seemed busy looking for eggs. He'll ask when they're on the move again.
It wasn't long before they ran across a levant cockatrice nest. "Heh, they don't look too bad. How's this: I run out and distract them, without hurting them, and you sneaky people search their nests for eggs?" He waited for approval from Becky to run out, grab their attention by hitting the ground in front of them with ice shards, and running away only just fast enough to stay out of their range while they chase him.

Gallerian tilted his head when Ashlea asked him, he didn't even detect the sarcasm - Well... Of course I can, is one of my abilities as an Angel of Creation - He chuckle at the end. He avoided to say he didn't knew about that Getaway? Gateway? place, so he kept quiet about it.
Oh, you are talking about me? - Derek mocked at Huntsman. He stretched his fingers, ready to get those eggs. He walked as he left noticed the Marco guy greeting hsi guardian, well, things were going to be fine as long as Gallerian was distracted - All right... - He put his goggles on as he began to trot, he adjusted his vision, trying to create small thermographic effect in his own eyes, he practiced that for a whole year, at first he tried to create a new function for his goggles but the experiment ended in failure each time he tried them so he decided to avoid technology and go for the biology, trying to redirect the magic from his hands to his eyes, at first it ended pretty bad and he got temporary-blind the first two months of training.
But thankfully he made little progress and now he could last for almost two to five minutes doing that. It was easier to detect the animals despite of the plants and stuff, as he observed the grass was in no condition to tolerate his flames, bitting his lip he decided to don't use his powers.
Left behind, Gallerian happily introduced himself to Malcom, taking his hand to greet the boy - Oh! Is adorable when kids cook! Nice to meet you Malcom! Feel free to ask for help if something happens - The man finished with a bright smile, until he noticed Derek wasn't there anymore - Oh, my! I should go after him... Ah! When asking for help just pray my name, ok? - He said before running towards Derek's direction, tracking his magic was easy.
He found Derek near the others, thanks Father he didn't tried to annoy the Levant cockatrice. He was glad Becky was so good at explaining in such a short time about the creatures they were dealing with - That sounds good, but if you use Ice magic you might cause a drop in their body heat, which would harm them from the sudden change of temperature - He analized. So they better look forward to avoid hurting them at least in a term of health, he didn't remember well how much these cockatrice can tolerate at the point of not being sick - Derek, you should keep him company, to keep the Cockatrice warm in case he uses Ice
Why me? - The boy inmediatly complained, ugh! He already decided no to use his powers and now this! - This place doesn't look good enough to tolerate my flames, it would create a fire and it'll be hard to control!
Just be careful! - The angel simply answered, not worrying at all

"Angel of...creation?!" Ashlea asked in surprise. Why was an angel here of all places?! She looked on as he began to address Malcolm, turing her attention back toward the front of the group when the monster bird's name was said by Becky. Jogging up to the front, Ashlea began to address the group. "Hang on, hang on. Becky didn't tell you enough here. So!" Clearing her throat, Ashlea began to explain. "That is a Levant Cockatrice, as I'm sure you've heard. Males aggressively protect females during mating season, so I wouldn't be surprised if the male is around. Oh right, those are two females." Ashlea pointed toward the two cockatrice. "Besides that, they breathe a neurotoxin that can cause paralysis, enough of it is even able to kill, by the way. Though they can't really petrify you like the myths say, their poison just got exaggerated by idiots over the years. Go figure, right?" Rolling her eyes, Ashlea continued. "They only breathe the poison as a last resort though. So if you don't threaten them too much...you should be fine."
Stepping away from the front of the group, Ashlea observes the two birds. "They primarily feed on small animals...especially basilisks. So here is my plan! One of you captures a small animal...squirrel or something, and I can transform it into a creature that looks like a basilisk. Then I just let it loose into the field, it runs away from the cockatrice, and you can swipe the egg from the remaining ones! Isn't that great or what?" She asks, folding her arms confidently. Looking over at Derek, Ashlea shook her head slightly. "If you thinking about using fire, be very careful like the angel said! I'm a fire mage too you know, so these grass and trees aren't good for either of us. Soooo...thoughts on a plan?" She asked. Of course Ashlea wanted to use her own plan, but she knew that these cowboys would probably want to rush in like they were planning.
