Appearance:
Cell is skeletally thin, her body shrunken and atrophied by starvation and disuse. The Mark of Chaos sits on her breastbone, a deep scarring in her flesh. She naturally has pink hair, but so far only a thin peach fuzz has grown back in. Her eyes are equally pink, set in deep sockets. Her gaunt face is accentuated by a pointed chin and thin nose. She tends to wear fully covering clothing, like sweaters and sweatpants or long skirts and leggings (she never just wears a skirt, as she hovers at least as often as she walks). She has punctured ears and has taken to wearing large earrings in public, seeing them as the only things that look good with a bald head.
History:
Cell’s whereabouts are unknown before her brother Joseph took her to Atlas Island. There, she was kept in the royal palace with her siblings and trained to use her powers in the pursuit of their goals. The suffering of the island’s inhabitants wore at her already fragile mind until she demanded that her brother do something about at least the slaves in the palace. He did so, lobotomizing them. Cell snapped and attacked her brother. She was contained and operated on in the hopes of controlling her. This never totally succeeded, the plates just reducing her intelligence rather than actually controlling her. She remained in a compromised state for an entire year before finally killed by people hired by the HWIC to investigate the island. True death escaped her when the Spirit of Unbalance took her soul and created a new body. Returned to her original mind, she was sent to live with Halwende Chase, another of the Spirit’s slaves.
Personality:
Cell is quiet and skulky. Subjected to all the thoughts of people around her for years, she is unwilling to truly trust anybody. From this, she prefers isolation. While normally, the barrage of thoughts just wears her down, an evil enough mind or just exposure to too many at once can make her snap, entering a rage more like her state on Atlas Island.
Relationships:
Cell despises her brother Joseph and the majority of her other siblings with a burning passion. If they meet, violence is inevitable. She has similar feelings about the Spirit of Unbalance but is prevented from expressing them quite as clearly by his control. It is uncertain if she likes anybody, although she puts up with her roommate Halwende Chase, if only out of having no other options.
Powers:
Telepathy- Cell not only can read minds, she finds it impossible not to. Her powers have lessened in this regard to the point she can’t effortlessly avoid attacks anymore, but she still constantly senses the minds of others, making it impossible to ambush her.
Telekinesis- Cell creates an invisible force she can project with her mind. This force has movement time, so she cannot instantly throw a target from across the room, targets directly grabbed have a good chance of wiggling free. She can shape this force, launching cutting attacks or defending herself with a bubble.
Mark of Chaos- The Mark of Chaos is the "gift" of the being who gave Cell a new body and another shot at life. Its simplest function is as a signifier, a mark of ownership. Cell is marked body and soul as the property of the Spirit of Unbalance. In this function, it prevents her from dying. If wounded mortally, Cell's soul simply returns to the Spirit and is granted a new body, potentially with some punishment for daring to die. Just like her fellow slaves of the Spirit of Unbalance, Cecelia's mark has other powers as well, but she has not unlocked them through practice, uninterested in what they may have to offer.
