Not long before Europeans "discovered" America, the man who would eventually be Wendigo Wilson was a member of an Algonquian tribe just north of Lake Huron. He doesn't remember much of this time. He thinks he may have had a family, but he hopes he didn't. What he remembers most is the horrible, harsh winter that killed him. And even then it's fuzzy. He doesn't remember why his heart froze and his stomach became an unfulfillable void that he filled with the closest humans he could find.
He had turned into a Wendigo, a creature made by famine that could never fill it's hunger for human flesh, just growing with each meal. He hunted as such for 500 years, eating hundreds and growing to tremendous heights, staking out a territory over a wide area that was kept safe from development by his predations. Eventually, he came across an illegal necromantic ritual taking place in his woods, chosen for their abandoned nature. When he attacked, seeking to devour the sorcerers, they panicked and sealed him in the body they were using.
Coming to in human form while they fled, he found himself confused beyond belief. Human and Wendigo needs collided within his mind, he stumbled his way to a road and was hit by a car that restrained him and took him to the hospital, believing he had a concussion when he attacked them immediately afterwards. He froze his restraints at the hospital, broke them, and attempted to feed on the injured, getting stopped by a member of the BHA who happened to be in the area. Seeing his potential, they subdued him and took him back the the head of the Artemis branch, where he was put into intensive therapy to rehabilitate him into society and trained to use his powers.
Personality:
Wilson often seems distant, only speaking in whispers, and even then only when necessary. In reality, this ties into his powers and inexperience with human society and humanity in general. Even some simple human behaviors are beyond him, like shaking hands and using silverware(although his hands are freezing and he doesn't eat anyway, giving him good reasons not to understand them). He can go into a feeding frenzy upon seeing dismembered limbs and internal organs. Otherwise, he is quietly confused most of the time, observing but not understanding.
He is an expert hunter, tracking prey relentlessly. Once he has started a hunt, he will not cease until he has caught his target. He only really understands and respects others with deep devotion to something or a ferocious will to live, like Aria.
Appearance:
Wilson is a Native American man of average height. He has a gaunt face framed by two long black and white braids. He has a ponytail in back in addition to these braids. His body carries the air of the starving, with long, slender limbs and a sunken looking chest and stomach. He tends to wear loose and light clothing made for warm weather even when it's cool outside. This includes some necklaces and trinkets that were on the body before he possessed it, not Native American but instead necromantic in nature. He also has black lines across the right side of his chest that seem to actually be from his home tribe and a tattoo of a snake, coiled as if in movement, on his left shoulder.
Relationships:
Wendigo Wilson is reclusive, spending the majority of his time alone. His only real friend is Jun Li, and the closest other person to such a thing is Aria, the werewolf chief he battled while hunting her feral tribe member. He respects Remilia Arling as well, but does not know her well enough to judge her deeply.
Powers:
Heart of ice- Wilson has no mortal heart. Icy cold water runs through his veins, and he cannot die from loosing it or being stabbed in the heart.
Storm Soul- Wilson is filled with the fury of a blizzard, and it escapes when he talks. A whisper forms frost on objects and brings a stiff breeze. Normal speaking voice creates a cold capable of causing serious frostbite very quickly and can knock over an ordinary human. A shout has unknown power levels of power.
Unfillable- One of the reasons a Wendigo can never be full is that they grow each time they devour a human, making them even hungrier. Wilson can grow to a mighty size for as long as he can hold his breath after a growing period of drawing it in. This does not damage his clothing, as it is charmed to grow with him.
Tracker- Wilson is a talented hunter, with the ability to track even human prey for miles, usually using visual clues. He will never give up once he has his target, tracking them across cities and even countries if he must. He dislikes tracking in cities, as there are much fewer places to leave tracks and too many people make him uncomfortable as well as providing excellent camouflage for a target.
Weakness:
Heat- His body can be vastly weakened by heat, even if it's not very extreme, and melting his heart will kill him.
Hunger- A constant gnawing hunger pulls at his mind, but he cannot fix it. Eating only makes it worse. The only thing he does ingest is cold water, which soothes the pain slightly and replenishes his "blood".
