Backstory
Former High School Star Linebacker, Former Barman, Former Bouncer, Former Strip Dancer, Former Bodyguard, Former Stuntman, Former B-Class Movie Star, Former Karate Champion, Former productive member of Mundane Society… Goemon was a lot of things but currently he is focused on his current passion. Goemon is the student of the late Ichigan Nagare, a wandering Karate Master who got banned from every mundane and hidden tournament, as he was one of the few inheritors of the Mountain Slaying Fist (Yamakoroshi Ken) one of the 10 Fukuma styles, created by the Hermit Master of Reiji Fukuma, Hibiki Nensho. Goemon sought Ichigan in Japan for years until he found him.
The Karate Star asked the Wandering Warrior to be his master and after a lot of haggling Ichigan started teaching Goemon the rudiments of Ki and the basics of the Mountain Slaying Style. But this learning period was cut short when Ichigan took a job as a mercenary and never returned, seemingly he saved a whole group of genetic experiments from an underwater lab. Goemon decided to join the BHA to further hone his skills and learn from the old manuals Ichigan left him. His goal is to become a man as great as his master, using his own fist to back up his ideals, desires and objectives. Now Goemon Williams roams the land of Japan learning, fighting, loving and most importantly living.
He set his base in Tokyo, in a small apartment over a dojo in which he teaches Karate. Currently he was signing the paperwork in the JHWAB Sports and Cultural Activities offices to join the Japanese Preliminary to enter de Spirit Boxing Federation, the organization his master belonged to and was highly ranked. Goemon wants to reach his master rank.
Personality and Appearance
Goemon is loudmouthed, proud and jovial, he is always in for a good laugh or a good fight, but hates being mocked or taken as a joke. He expresses every emotion with reckless exuberance and big-hamminess. If he is your friend he will be the best, if you are his enemy he will do his best to beat you up. His main flaws are his pride for his style and his master, something that got him in more than one fight, and his stubbornness, as the only thing that can change his mind his himself.
Goemon is a tall African-American man in his early 30’s. He is of muscular build, 2 mts of height 110 kg of weight, and usually wears a classic white Gi with a black belt. His hair is stylized into a majestic pompadour with bushy sideburns. He sports a thinly trimmed beard around his mouth, connected by equally thin lines to the sideburns.
Powers
Ki UserGoemon is an adept Ki User, capable of using this energy to boost his physical skills and perform superhuman feats. His Ki manifests as a golden aura that surges like lighting around him and tends to focus on his hands, a result of the specialized training for the Mountain Slaying Fist. Goemon is trained to his top physical condition but he can improve those stats with Ki Empowerment.
Goemon’s training focused on improving his strength and durability, both at really high levels for an initiate in the Hidden World. Most of his awe inspiring and staggering durability comes from becoming Ichigan Nagare’s sparring partner (or better put living sandbag). But his senses and speed are greatly underwhelming in comparison to his strength and durability.
• Strength: 1 Ton/5-10 Tons

Skills
Karate Mastery
Goemon is a 5th Dan Black Belt and possibly currently ranks even higher after training with Nagare. He is most proficient in punches, elbow strikes and throws. His style in unorthodox and he is a right handed fighter. He also practiced Judo, Jeet Kun Do and Hung Gar, as well a bit of Muay Thai. He considered joining the MMA circuit but it seemed too commercial to him (yes even after working in movies)
Mountain Slaying Fist (Yamakoroshi Ken)
One of the archaic styles of Martial Arts in ancient Japan was known for its immense strength, the users, beings that transcended petty things like slaying their foes, only to kill nature itself. One of many esoteric styles (Meaning that the usage of Ki is quite central to its core techniques) the Mountain Slaying Fist was a dreadful blight on the land, as the few, yet incredibly powerful, masters laid waste to anything on their path. Some say the style found its origin on the hands of powerful Oni warriors, looking to channel their inner strength into powerful blows, mighty enough to torn asunder the barriers of the first human Denizens in Japan, the Omnyo Clans, who protected the islands against Hidden threats. The Mountain Slaying Masters were also known as the One-armed Masters, since many times a failed attempt to perform their devastating signature move ended up destroying their own arm in the progress, thus ending up one arm short of a set, some tried to replace them with prosthetic limbs but no material was hard enough to resist the usage of the technique more than once, and more than once the fragments of metal or wood exploded outwards causing a lot of damage to the user. The style seemingly perished around the Sengoku era, nobody taking the time to perfect it after the introduction of firearms into the country. Still many documents about the style and its techniques survived in the hands of a sect of warrior monks called Hagane no Yoake (Steel Dawn)
In the Early 20th Century a martial artist happened to encounter those manuscripts and studied them, re-creating the techniques using Karate as a baseline. This man was Hibiki Nensho, who later would be known as the Hermit Master. He is the teacher of many great martial artist of the 20th Century in Japan, Reiji Fukuma, Hiro Yamanaka, Kyoshi Kenmei, Kodai Senshi and many many more. He refunded the school and eradicated a peak in Tibet to announce to the world that one of the deadliest and most destructive styles in the story of Martial Arts was once again alive and well, back on its ancestral homeland. Hermit Master Nensho developed a new set of techniques to support the style and empower it through new skills that surged from the evolution of the fighting styles of the old days. Without a doubt he had to include skills to slow down the enemy so the attack would connect, as many styles became mucho more mobile with the passage of years. Nensho focused on locks, stunning blows and paralyzing attacks to help the users of the style prepare the stage to unleash the signature move. Thus the New Mountain Slaying Fist appeared into the world.
The style was divided into 4 support techniques and 1 main technique and it had the advantage of being more of a free-form style than an orthodox one, leaving each practitioner basic movements and instructions, quite solid, as the basic structure for their own improvements into them. The Nijijustu (Secondary Techniques) are the following:
- Wanajutsu (Snaring Techniques) Movements to immobilize the opponent legs, or stop them all together, the few kicks in the style, most of them sweeps, low kicks or low front kicks are included in this category. Their objective is to damage or impeded the enemy agility, forcing them to the practitioner level.
- Chudanjutsu (Interrupting Techniques) Movements to interrupt the enemy attack, forcing them into a defensive position more favorable to connect the Mountain Slaying Fist. Blocks, parries and evasions enter this category, aimed mostly to counter the enemy efforts and break their balance and momentum.
- Sagashijutsu (Locating Techniques) Movements to locate the weak spots in the enemy guard, trying to find the best place to strike the final blow, this includes jabs, elbows, punches and other hand techniques with the objective to pinpoint the chinks on the enemy armor. These attacks are charged with Ki but only to work as some kind of Sonar, allowing the user to find the pathways into the enemy vital points.
- Mahijutsu (Paralyzing Techniques) Movements set to stop the enemy on its track, making them open to the destructive force of the Yamakoroshi Ken. Strikes to vital areas like the neck, the groin, the eyes, the diaphragm and others are the bread and butter of this Nijijutsu. These tend to be the movements most practiced by the users and more often than not they can prove to be fatal on their own if enough strength is used.
The Yamakoroshi Ken
The Signature Move of this style, a powerful punch charged with a critical mass of Ki that blasts into the target through the natural weak points inside it. The surge of Ki destroys the target from inside out, so is extremely rare to see cases of individuals surviving a direct hit from the Yamakoroshi Ken. The attack has 3 levels of Mastery:
- The user focuses his Ki and releases it like a blast.
- The user releases the Ki inside the enemy, but without the proper guidance
- The user sends the Ki through the weak spots and causes the target to explode.
Of course all levels can have variable intensities as for example Goemon barely manages to use the 3rd Level but can create massive damage using the 1st.
The Masters since Nensho also added their own individual techniques to the style.
Nensho’s Technique: Yamakoroshi Moete Ken (Burning Mountain Slaying Fist) A powerful variant that hyper-heats the Ki upon release causing enemies to burn from inside or objects o melt, also known as Kazanken (Volcanic Fist). This attack can also serve as a way to create natural barriers or even ignite real volcanoes.
Fukuma’s Technique: Yamakoroshi Kyoshin Rendan Ken (Resonant Repetition: Mountain Slaying Fist) Dividing the power of his attack into multiple ones Reiji managed to move while attacking, circling the enemy and purposely failing to connect the attacks, but releasing the Ki as shockwaves. This technique created several reverberating bubbles of force around the enemy, that individually weren’t harmful, but the position of them around the enemy in different angles made their combined resonance reach into a single point inside the enemy causing a cascading explosion of vibrations that caused major damage to the inner organs of the target. Used against inorganic material it can turn it to dust or force it to collapse.
Nagare’s Technique: Yamakoroshi Uzuchi Ken (Blood Vortex: Mountain Slaying Fist) Ichigan Nagare own creation is the most sadistic of the Master Techniques as it perfected the release of energy using the nervous system as a highway for the Ki. The user can regulate the power to avoid killing the opponent, but the least energy you use the worse will be the pain for the opponent, as the smaller dosages of Ki won’t overload their nervous system as fast as bigger ones, making them feel the pain for longer periods of time before collapsing. Using this attack at full power fries the enemy nervous system and stops his vital functions in the blink of an eye. Nagare was also able to selectively aim to limbs or other body parts to maim them. This technique is useless against targets that aren’t alive.
Goemon's Technique: GUTS PUNCH! A technique that focuses on using the powers of the Yamakoroshi Ken in a positive way, flooding the target with Ki that seals any inner damage and fortifies their inner strength, protecting them from attacks similar to the main technique. Outer damage is also healed by this attack, but it can be used only once a day on unprepared targets, since it could backfire and injure them further as the channeling of Ki is quite powerful.
