Final AnimeVice/First ViceVerse Awards: March

Returning to the familiar stage one last time, one lone male walks out from behind the curtain, wearing a fancy black tuxedo and hair meticulously combed in preparation for the night. He steps up to the microphone, and the audience goes quiet in anticipation for what the 20 year old had to say.

Vapo: “Welcome...ladies and gentlemen...to the final Vice Awards being hosted on Animevice. As we speak, the hours draw near to our closing time. Once the clock strikes midnight...all we have ever said, created, loved, hated, laughed at, and all things in between will be gone. So for this occasion, I will be doing a special recognition of all my fellow RPG players at the end, so stick around. But for now...ON WITH THE SHOW!”

A fanfare of trumpets rings out from the sides of the theatre, and the stage lights up to reveal two familiar red couches. Vapo sits on the one on the right, looking backstage over his shoulder.

Vapo: “My last awards show was fairly large, so I’d like to scale it down for this one. Please welcome two of my most vocal character; Elyssa Miyata and Ashlea Primrose!”

Out from behind the stage, a blond-haired girl wearing a large hat swings in from backstage using a grappling hook, and lands gracefully on the couch across the stage from Vapo. Contrasting with this dramatic entrance, another teenage girl with bright red hair proudly walks into the room, her black dress shining in the stage lights as her heels clattered against the stage. The girl who swung in only laughs at her cohost.

Elyssa: “What, you too boring to make a dramatic entrance like me?” She asks, grinning at the red-haired girl.

Ashlea: “Unlike you, I hold myself with dignity and grace. Look at you; who those shoes with a dress!?”

Elyssa: “I need to move, follow the adventure! I can't do that in heels!”

Vapo: “Ok ok! Let’s just get this show started, ladies. You can fight all you want afterwards.”

Elyssa: “I’m holding you to that!”

BEST HERO

Elyssa: “Heroes! The daring people who go out and fight against evil! Only someone who is a true genius could attain this title, like myself.”

Ashlea: “You? A genius? Please, you are nowhere near as elegant or intelligent as me.”

Elyssa: “Say it to my face, princess ass! But whatever...nominees are Dan, Garo, Haruko and Arthur. And the winner is...”

Haruko: “Me, of course!”

Suddenly, a familiar pink-haired woman walks on stage and sits next to Vapo, her purple and black dress looking absolutely stunning in the stage lights.

Haruko: “You wouldn't do the last awards without me, right oh mighty creator?”

Vapo: “Of course I wouldn’t. You hosted my first awards show, and you will host the last. But yes, Haruko is the best hero this month.

BEST NEUTRAL

Ashlea: “The nominees are as follows; Alexander, Eve, Huntsman, Falken and Alexander. The winner for this round is...”

Elyssa: “Eve, with three votes! Come on, you talking that slow is just wasting more time!”

Ashlea: “You, learn to shut your mouth before I burn it off!”

Elyssa: “BRING IT, CAT GIRL!”

And with that, the two take out their whips and dive backstage, the sound of fire crackling and insults ring out from behind the curtain.

Vapo: “...remember, that’s your sister.”

Haruko: “I know, but she’s still fun to be around. It’s like they said, Eve wins best neutral.”

BEST VILLAIN

Haruko: “Moving right along, who was the biggest evil person to ruin everyone’s day this month? Nominees this month are...Taylor and...oh for the love of-”

Vapo: “What, she’s a twisted spider girl who chops people up and makes dolls out of them.”

Haruko: “And she is a coward, narcissist, horrible seamstress...”

Vapo: “What she’s trying to say is that Marika Arachne won for her actions in Valentine’s Hearts.

BEST FIGHT

Vapo: “Who had the most explosive fight this month? Well...nominees are...”

Just then, the cards in his hands are snatched by a blond-haired girl as she front flips back into her seat, her dress slightly dirtier than before.

Elyssa: “Now that her highness is safely locked away in a locker, I can finally show how great I am at hosting these awards. I am a genius, after all. Ahem. Nominees for best fight are; The brawl inside of Marika’s kaspa...you know, I really want to look around that place. Anyway, second nominee is Aria vs the spirit trees...eh I could have probably done better than her. And finally is Alex and Falken vs Fubai Long. Hey! Writer! I don’t know these guys! Why don’t you read other people’s topics!”

Vapo: “Hey, I have been saving a ton of the older topics. Plus, I like to marathon read a story once it’s over.”

Elyssa: “If you say so. The winner is both the brawl in the kaspa and my sister playing lumberjack. NEXT!”

BEST BROMANCE

Haruko: “I must say...I am disappointed. We only had one person who voted in this category. So you know what, we're voting too! The winners for best bromance are both Chase and Huntsman, and Eve and Chase!

Elyssa: “Why wasn't I nominated?! I am complete bros with Rachel and Ariana!”

Vapo: “You haven't been in an RP in months.”

Elyssa: “And who’s fault is that?!”

Haruko: “She does have a point.”

Vapo: “I'll make an RP with you soon, okay? Let’s move on before I release Ashlea...”

BEST RIVALRY

Ashlea: “NOT TODAY, BRUTE!” A loud voice rings out from back stage, Ashlea comes bursting out of the curtains and points her right pointer finger at Elyssa.
“I will be taking the stage from now on! Now be quiet and listen to a real announcer deliver an award! Ahem, best rivalry goes t-““HOLD IT!”

Out of the audience, an Asian-looking male runs up onstage and swipes the microphone out of Ashlea’s hands, after a cry of protest from her.

: “Yo Vapo, I like you guys and I’ma let you finish, but we're pulling the plug right now!”

Almost immediately, the lights go out and all music stops on stage, as if someone had cut the power.

Vapo: “Wait, what?! Who the hell gave you permission to pull the plug?! We still have three hours until shutdown!”

: “Too bad! Now get a move on before I pull the plug on more stuff!”

Handing the microphone back to Ashlea, the man jumps off stage and walks out the stage door. Ashlea only stood there, a red aura radiating out of her body.

Ashlea: “My chance...RUINED! THAT’S IT, THIS PLACE IS GOING DOWN!”

Vapo: “Hey, wait a minute!”

Vapo’s request wasn't heeded, and the fire mage’s whip erupts into flames. With a quick series of strikes, the entire theatre began to light up in flames. Ashlea further speeds up this process by firing bolts of fire at the faraway locations, causing them to catch on fire as well. All three of them stare at the burning theatre, dumbfounded at how fast Ashlea had managed to catch it on fire.

Elyssa: “...ARE YOU INSANE?! You're burning the entire building down!”

Ashlea: “I don't care! It’s going to be bulldozed in a few hours anyway, so I might as well do it myself! It’s not like all the awards were at this one theatre!”

Vapo: “But you're still burning this place down! What the hell am I going to do with the other half of these awards?!”

Before anyone could say another word, Haruko places her hand on Vapo’s shoulder, smiling at all of them.

Haruko: “I think I might have an idea.

Suddenly, a bright flash of light engulfs the theatre, blinding the now turned-off cameras. A faint sound of music can be heard coming from the center of the light source.

Haruko: “Sorry to keep you waiting! LET’S START THE SHOW!”

Looking back at Haruko, she was now transformed into her magical girl form, and music radiated out of the building, her powers making the crowd more excited to hear the rest of the show. Taking a glance around, the theatre had also changed. Instead of the traditional theatre with the two couches, the setting was now a concert house with the four of them on different pieces of furniture. Elyssa sat in a large chair with her feet propped up on a footstool, Ashlea sat on an even larger and more regal chair with her legs crossed, and Haruko stood center stage, a mic stand in front of her as the crowd cheered.

The new concert hall, unlike the previous purple and black colors, was adorned with a combination of dark blue and black colors along the walls, giving an overall calm vibe to contrast the loud music Haruko was projecting.

Vapo: "Wow...so this is new. I gotta say, I do like what they did with the place."

Ashlea: "It's fitting. Haruko, mind taking these next few ones? I'm too pissed off right now."

Haruko: "All right! It's as my co host said! BEST RIVALRY! Nominees are...well...just myself and Marika! Next month, you all should vote so I don't win by default! Onto the next category!"

CROWNING MOMENT OF AWESOME

Haruko: "The biggest, baddest, and best moments of the month! Which moment was THE crowning moment of awesome?! Let's find out! Nominees are; Falken throwing the wire thread javelin at the Bixie, Alex Wire Ball...not sure what that means, but we'll go with it! Last nominee is myself getting mad at Marika and showing her who is the boss! There appears to be a tie, so all three win! Congradulations!"

Elyssa: "Again...another category that I should have AT LEAST been a nominee in! I mean come on, my last adventure had me fighting giant spiders, dodging a storm of arrows, and hunting for treasure!"

Vapo: "But that was months ago. You can't jus-"

Elyssa: "Then give me another adventure! You are always using either Haruko or Aria, so let me have a chance again!"

Ashlea: "Pipe down, you had your time. Now it's time for the more interesting characters to get developed, like myself."

Elyssa: "You, interesting? The only adventure you've been in was you running away from a toddler, a cyclops, a spider chick, and that girl's mother. Yeah, that's some Oscar material right there."

Ashlea: "S-shut up!"

Vapo: "Haruko...please move on before they fight again."

Haruko: "Got it!"

CROWNING MOMENT OF FUNNY

Haruko: "The funniest moment of the month! Which characters had the audience laughing out loud?! Here they are; Eve and Falken in Hunt in general, and Chase being thrown through the forest by Osamu in Unforgiving Trees! Oooh, that second one sounds painful! You're both the winners!"

Ashlea: "Again? What's with all these ties?"

Vapo: "Not many people voted this month, so some of the less popular categories only got one or two votes. Come on guys, it's the first show! You have to vote!"

Elyssa: "Get on with it!"

BEST TEARJERKER SCENE

Haruko: "Ah yes, which moment made us feel sad while just being around the situation. Being a part of this topic, I would have to agree with the sole nominee and winner; Cosmina being tortured in Valentine Hearts. You had better have Aria make Marika pay for this."

Vapo: "Don't worry, you already injured the spider girl. And Aria's only just begun to fight Yuu...in your house."

Haruko: "What?!"

Vapo: "Best lines!"

BEST LINE

Vapo: "With a grand total of one vote, here is our best line! Ahem.

"Well clearly you don't need me here. When she finds a way to kill you, don't come whining to me! I'll just eat your body when I'm done with her." - Huntsman to Chase in Hearts. Looks like Huntman managed to get an award here after all! Congratulations man!'

Haruko: "You never answered me about my house."

Vapo: "I'll uh...tell you after the show. Mind going on?"

Haruko: "Very well. Next category is; best couple!"

BEST COUPLE

Haruko: "Here it is, the best of all the official couples that we have here! And...surprise surprise, we have one vote in this category as well! Mind reading it off, Elyssa?"

Elyssa: "Ok! The best couple is...Haruko and John again! You two are winning this every month these days."

Haruko: "What can I say, we're both classy people. And it's not like there is much competition anyway. Who else is a prominent couple? Arthur and Lily? Sam and Luna?"

Ashlea: "Crown and Ha-" Before she could continue, Elyssa leaps over and covers Ashlea's mouth with her hand.

Elyssa: "Crowns really are shiny, right? Don't mind me, carry on." Soon, Elyssa wraps her arm around Ashlea's neck and places her into a headlock. The fire mage squirms for a few seconds...but is soon knocked out.

BEST SHIP

Haruko: "My favorite category once again! The best ship! What kind of unofficial pairings do we have this month? Let's read off the nominees! Eve and Falken, Chase and Marceline, Taylor and Leora...ok, who put that? Anyway, Eve and Chase, and finally, Arthur and Yuu. The winner is...Eve and Falken! They do seem like a decent pair, both being wise-cracking and part machine."

Elyssa: "I wonder what their kids would look like. Would it just be a sentient toaster that can grow limbs?"

Haruko: "Probably. Elyssa, take the next one!"

Elyssa: "Got it!"

BEST STORY THREAD

Elyssa: "Which story thread captivated the most people, and made them want to continue reading? Could said story be even half as awesome as me?! Let's see. The nominees are; Big Hunt and Valentine Hearts. The winner is Big Hunt!"

Vapo: "I really need to read that. It's one of the most active topics right now, next to Hearts, Trees and Gates."

Elyssa: "Read it if you want. Just don't forget what you promised!"

BEST LOCATION

Vapo: "One of the lesser awards, who made the best location this month?! Well, we have two votes! JHWAB Kanto HQ and Marika's Kaspa! You both win!"

Elyssa: "You both? They are just locations dude...not people."

Vapo: "I know. I was trying to segway, but you ruined it."

Elyssa: "Do a better job next time then!"

BEST NPC

Haruko: "Would you look at that...not a single vote for this category. For completion's sake, I will vote Cosmina as the best NPC this month!"

BEST NPC VILLAIN

Snapping awake, Ashlea dives for the results envelope and snatches it out of Vapo's hands. She was visibly pissed now, breathing harder than normal and glaring at Elyssa.

Ashlea: "I...have had it...with you being a brute to me! I am taking over for these last awards! You ok with that Haruko?!"

Haruko: "Go for it, girl."

Ashlea: "Great! *ahem*, the best NPC villain are the tree monsters from Unforgiving Trees. Just watch them sway back and forth, such un-majestic creatures. I could burn all of them to the ground, but that is a task for the brute's sister. What a shame. Anyhow, we have one personal award to give out before you all can start patting yourselves on the back. I'll read this word for word...*ahem*."

"Huntsman's biggest fuck up that's not his- Eve shooting the Kirin. Hah, and she yells at me! ...and that's what the paper says. It appears as if Eve messed up this time, and not the immature eldritch abomination."

Haruko: "We all make mistakes. Let's move on the final categories!"

BEST WRITER

Ashlea: "MY turn still. The nominees for best writer are; Kuma, Waybig and Justalittlegirl. And with a total of two votes, both Kuma and Waybig take the title!"

Elyssa: "That reminds me...didn't that little girl guy change his name? What was it again...hungry hippos?"

Haruko: "Hungry hunter. But I like that one better, so that will be his new nickname!"

Vapo: "That should be interesting. Elyssa, you're up!"

Ashlea: "Hey, wait!"

BEST PLAYER

Elyssa: "Stand aside princess wanna-be, it's my turn to shine! The best players are like me, the most awesome people to be around and can spice up the situation just by being there! Nominees are; Chronowolf and...some guy I have never met." Elyssa grins at Vapo as she says that last part. She tosses the envelope to him like a throwing star, which he catches...somehow. "I'm just kidding, it's you, Vapo! Congrats!"

Vapo: "Thanks for voting for me everyone! I hope you've liked the awards so far!"

Ashlea: "Of course they like them, I am here, after all. You couldn't get much classier than this."

Elyssa: "Put a lid on it. Haruko, you do the last one!"

VICER OF THE MONTH

Haruko: "With pleasure. This is it...the first last Vicer of the month for Animevice, and the first one for Vice Verse. Who will be cemented as the top player, and receive this honor? Let's list the nominees. Justalittlegirl, Chronowolf, Kuma, Sam, Feha, Lobos, Waybig, and even you, Vapo. Would you look at that, we have eight nominees for this award! Let's see the results!

...

"It's a tie! All eight of you are the last Vicers of the Month for Animevice, and the first ones for Vice Verse! Congratulations to everyone! Wait...what are you doing?"

Walking up to the microphone stand, Vapo takes out a piece of paper and looks at the audience, hushed in anticipation for what he has to say.

Vapo: "Thank you all for attending these awards. I know they are a little late, but I still hope you found them enjoyable. With the closing of Animevice, I'd like to take the time to recognize my fellow players who have been influences to me during my time here in the RPG section. I can say for certain that I consider most of you to be my friends, and hope that there are still plenty of stories to be told by us here on the Vice Verse.

First off, I'd like to recognize Justalittlegirl(or hungry hunter, as he is now called). You are easily one of my closest friends here, and we have collaborated on more story ideas and characters than I can even remember off the top of my head. I know we have plenty of crazy stuff planned for our characters in the future, especially at the end of Hearts, so I look forward to working with you more. Keep being awesome.

For the sake of formatting, I will be listing everyone past this point with your name first, just so I don't have to keep coming up with transitions.

Kuma: Easily the most dedicated RPer on this site. He has been RPing on Animevice longer than any of us currently, and has provided us with some of the most interesting stories to RP in. The story he's been weaving through his various topics is shaping out to be a larger even than most realize, and I doubt that I can accurately speculate on what will happen next. Aside from his top notch RP skills, he is also working hard to make RP rules, the character index, the guide to RPing, establishing what is canon, greeting new players, and just being everywhere in general. Glad to have you here

Chronowolf: Cwolf, Cwolf Cwolf...what is there to say? Our PM exchanges on AV were some of the highlights of my summer last year. You're a fun guy to talk to, and can still keep up with posting most of the time. So yeah, stay awesome man.

Waybig: One of the biggest breakout players I have seen, you needed next to no introduction to the section before you started RPing at a level of a pro. Unforgiving Trees is shaping up to be one of my favorite topics to be in, and all of your characters are unique in some way. I'm glad you joined us, and hope we can collaborate on some more stories

SamJaz: You've been pretty inactive lately because of school, but the time before that was utterly crazy. Your cast of characters is easily one of the largest on the site(especially with KG added), and you made some of the most memorable villains that we have(Taylor and Jardsam come to mind.) I hope you come back stronger than ever, because this website is more active than it ever was on AV.

Shadowchaos: Oddly enough, you were the first RPGer that I ever met here, and that was when i was a frequent user of the Battles section. Our CAV was fun as heck to do, and the first RP fight that we had was a great introduction for me into the verse. If it wasn't for you and people like Sam and Kuma, I likely wouldn't have stuck around here. Hope to see you on here and AVB!

Lobos: Otherwise known as The_Last_Gunslinger, Lobos is second only to Kuma in our oldest veteran players. Your posts are some of the most well crafted that I've seen out of most writers, and they are fun to read most of the time, given the character history you often insert with people like Crow. I know real life has forced you to slow down posting, but I still look forward to your characters in stories and finishing RPs like Gem girls.

Feha: One of the people I've talked with least here, you were Sam's partner when you two were making posts like crazy, often more than 10 a day with your KG RPs. You have also seemed to have been inactive, but I still hope you come back during the summer, as I enjoy RPing with your characters and seeing what crazy adventure you and Sam have next for KG.

Finally, I'd like to recognize all of our newer players. From what I have seen of your character bios, each of you have something interesting that you can bring to the table. So without further ado, I will like recognize; EvilMegaCookie, Chef Banchou and Durst. Glad to have you all here.

I know that AV is now shut down, but that doesn't mean that the community has to die off as well. On the contrary, this new forum opens up the possibility of building the world better than ever, with even more options to customize posts than we ever had on AV. So I'd like to thank everyone for everything they have done over the years, and let's tell some great stories!"

And with that, Vapo places the mic back on the stand and exits stage right. Haruko stays to entertain the crowd with a live concert, Ashlea wanders off backstage, and Elyssa leaps into the crowd to party with everyone. Vapo, on the other hand, makes his way down the hallway as music echos from the concert hall just beyond the wall. Pushing open the exit door, Vapo casually strolls down the road, watching the burning building next door be torn down by a wrecking ball and multiple bulldozers. They didn't seem to mind the fire, in fact, it was as if it wasn't even there. He stops just outside of the safety barriers, leaning against them as he watched the place where so many memories were made, only to now be torn down. While the memories are still active next door, much of the building's previous history will be gone forever. It was a bittersweet moment, really.

Oddly enough, a piece of paper could be seen exiting the burning building, and began floating down to the ground, carried along by the wind. Vapo reaches his hand out, and the paper lands directly into his outstretched hand. After studying the paper for a few seconds, the writer smiles, looks back as the building collapses, and begins walking away into the sunset, paper in hand. It was time to get back to work.

VICEVERSE APRIL 2015 AWARDS

A luxurious stage… Well polished wooden floor, red velvet curtains and gold plated finishes. The stage was inside a large classic theatre, with lavish decorations and many levels. The room was full with individuals and groups, entire organizations like the JHWAB came to the ceremony as many other important players in the Hidden World did. A band was playing as a man dressed in a sharp black suit with a red tie entered from the side. His black hair neatly combed back and his right eye shining with red radiance. Falken Degiraz was in the house. And the Orchestra music swells.

-Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen, I’m Falken Degiraz, yes, the Infamous Mercenary, the Dual Wielding God of Death, The Falcon Eye Killer, the Badass Cyborg.- He made a pause. –Yes I invented the last one, but I’m not lying… I’m a cyborg and I’m a badass.-

-You might be asking why isn’t the bloody bearded guy here… that’s easy to answer.- Falken pressed a small remote that turned on a screen behind him. Kuma was in a dark room, tied to a chair with duct tape, the largest piece covering his mouth. –Well, beardy here wanted to make Garo host this ceremony, but I kindly disagreed with him, so I took over.-

*Drumroll*

-Well bloody then, it seems is the moment to start this thing.- Falken bowed to the audience and he presented the event. –Welcome everybody to the Viceverse first annual roast!- Two massive torches on brass pillars ignited releasing warm golden light around the stage. The audience was in silence, until a sound broke the calm.

-Mhahamhamahmahafhamfhamfha- Muffled laughter came from behind Falken as Kuma struggled on his chair incapable of stopping his fit of laughter. Falken looked at the Bearded Argentine and said. –Oh you bloody bearded wanker, you set me up didn’t you?-

-You knew I couldn’t resist the bloody chance of having a free pass insulting people… you motherfucker I worked really hard on my jokes… really hard.- Falken sighed while Kuma kept laughing at him. –You win bloody beardy… I’ll host the damn awards…. You really need to get that Rocky Balboa wannabe up and running, I can’t be covering for him every damn time.-

With much less enthusiasm the Infamous Mercenary resumed the introduction. –Godamnit… Welcome to the April’s 2015 Viceverse Awards, brought to you in the first days of the month!- Falken stares silently at one segment of the audience and then resumes talking. –Tonight we will honor all the people who went the extra mile, being them the characters or the players, thus everybody can go home happy and no “The Wall” shenanigans start against the 4th Wall.-

-We will also have a mid-show entertainment, the Masako Hihashi cooking show! Brought to you by Garyuu Overseas Trading, the business you ask for help if you need to move personal, resources or to get them help you in collecting that hard to track medal collection you always wanted.-

♫ Garyuu Overseas! You won’t even notice we are here! ♫

-Bloody well then, let’s jump to the three first awards of tonight, the ones covering all the spectrum of morality and who are their bloody paragons. Yes this are the Best Hero, Neutral and Villain awards!-

BEST HERO

-I don’t get who the hell would want to get this one… basically is a medal for being an idiot who helps people for free…-

-I might be of service to explain the point of this awards.- A voice comes from backstage and entering from the side appears Callis Nomene, the Beast Knight. Some of the audience clapped as the walked quietly and noticeably embarrassed into the stage.

-Good Night, I’m here to delivler….- He shuts up as he notices his fumble. – Sorry, a tad nervous, have never spoke in front of so many people before.- Awkwardly he scratches his neck and is ready to say the winner as fast as he can. –And the Winners are…-

-Wait a bloody minute! You don’t get to perform in my show! - Using a line that crossed over the audience Falken descended to the stage by ziplining. He jumps before reaching the stage and rolls in the wooden floor and stands up besides Garo, grabbing the other side of the envelope. –Bloody hell, I’ll leave for a second and they put a fossil in my place.-

-Degiraz come on, don’t be like that, I even got myself into this suit to give the awards.- Garo tried to calm the pissed off Mercenary who with one superhumanly strong pull wrestled the envelope from the Archer’s callous hands.

-Give me that! I’m going to host the awards, I was tricked to do it but I’m going to do it anyway, I never leave a bloody job half done!- Falken opened the envelope but before he could take the card with the winner a flurry of arrows pierced him to the wall through his suit.

Garo took the card from the envelope with a smirk. –I’ll taking that Degiraz, you should never lower your guard… even against a “fossil".- Falken was left against one of the heavily decorated pillars struggling to get out from his pinned position.

CROWNING MOMENT OF AWESOME

-Hello everybody! I’m Yami Kizuato and I’m the host for this award, since everything I do is awesome! - Some laughs come from the JHWAB segment of the audience. –Don’t laugh, I’m being serious, see this small montage of my daily life.-

The screen behind him lights up showing him shaving using only the natural sharpness of his body, heritage of his Gainen half. He makes breakfast without looking, his hand doing chopping motions without a knife. He even removes the cream from a glass of warm milk using invisible blades. Everything done with abundant posing and bishounen sparkles.

-See? When you’re me everything is awesome, so I’m the best for the job.- He throws the envelope into the air and chops under it with his arm doing a sword-like motion. The card with the winner fell through the neatly shredded envelope and was grabbed by Yami who waved it showcasing his skill.

That was a mistake as the card was shredded as well and the movement split it into pieces that fell on the ground, just below a terrified and embarrassed Yami.

-You suck!- Shouted Eiko Kintategami, Yami’s on and off girlfriend. The Half-Gainen frantically tried to gather the thin slices of paper to see who won, and with his knees in the ground, squinting to see who won he proclaimed. –And the Winner is…-

-Trust me I know a thing or two about hiding. Place a spotlight there. - He calmly pointed at one of the sides and thanks to the light everybody saw the feet of a man hiding behind the red velvet drapes. Realizing he was discovered the guy behind the curtain walked into the stage.

He was a young man with Asian ascendance, he had short black hair and glasses. He was skinny, dressed in plain clothes and had a face that you can only find in religious fanatics. –WRONG!!! IT’S TIME FOR MASAKO’S KITCHEN!

-Hello soon to become lunch and dinner, welcome to the show.- He strolls back as the lights return to the theatre, he stands behind a fully equipped kitchen. With ingredients and appliances galore, more than enough to cover any professional kitchen for a long time, but more importantly there are several packages in black bags.

-Today I’m going to teach you one of my favorite recipes; I call it “Viande de vos Ennemis”- His hand turned into a kitchen knife and started chopping onions, peppers and garlic. – If you see the screen you will see the ingredients for the recipe…. sO wRiTe tHeM dOwN yOu iMbEcIlEs!!!-

• 1 head of garlic

• 3 onions

• 2 red bell peppers

• 200 gm of butter

• 1 & ½ cup of Red Wine (Pinot Noir or Malbec)

• Flesh of your enemies (or any red meat substitute)

-Well then, first comes the “mise en place” you need to chop the onions with longitudinal cuts, so it can be split into long stripes. Mince the red pepper and the garlic into small cubes and sauté everything on the melted butter.- He removed a piece of meat from one of the packages and started dicing it.

-While the vegetables are slowly stewing you dice the flesh of your enemies, in this case this is the thigh of a so called vigilante who used Ki I think… I cut his leg and pUmElLeD hIm with it so it helped a lot to tenderize the meat. - He sniffed the air after that sudden outburst and looked at the pan with the onions.

-When the onions get crispy and golden you remove the pan from the fire and add the wine, then you return it to the furnace and wait for the alcohol to evaporate with the fire in medium so it only kEePs tHe fUcKiNg fLaVoR! Instead of the alcoholic… this technique is called deglase… wRiTe iT tHe fUcK dOwN!-

-When you can’t smell alcohol anymore you add the diced meat and let it cook for about 5-10 minutes. Serve it with mashed potatoes and rice or you could nOt bE A pUsSy aNd eAt a fUcKiNg dOuBlE sErViNg!- He smashes his fist on the counter cracking it.

The concert hall was abuzz with audience murmurs. Orange and black banners hung still on the walls, but it was too dark to clearly see them. Many characters shuffled and moved in their seats, including a tall Asian woman trying to calm a young redhead who was bouncing in her seat with excitement. Then the lights light up and the music swells as the purple-haired musician set the stage. The crowd went wild in the crowded concert hall. The music was harsh but uplifting, brutally stirring. When it finished, the lights stopped veering erratically to focus on the musician and his siblings.

Haven sat in back, working his dj gear with her crew. The others sat before the dj table in a cluster of chairs, Martha in front with the main microphone. Patches sat far to the side, chair pushed to the very edge of the stage. Martha stood in front, tugging at her sparkling white dress with clear discomfort. “Hello and welcome to the May 2015 Vice awards! I’m-” “I’m Ash, your perfect host for this evening!” Martha soon found herself without a microphone, snatched up by her orange-haired sister and her shiny orange and black dress. “Ash you- okay, fine. Introduce the show.” She turned from the crowd to comfort the tiny girl in the sparkling blue dress, who seemed to have been hit by a truck made of stage fright. Without skipping a beat, Ash smiles widely at the crowd, basking in all the attention. “Alright! Now with me hosting this show properly, let’s get onto the awa-” “Hang on a second Ash, shouldn’t you introduce everyone first?” Haven asks, dimming the music slightly. Ash glares back at Haven, but sighs as she turns back to the audience, speaking in a monotonous tone now.

"Purple haired person is Haven, timid one is Jane, twitchy one is Martha, the druggie is Cadence, the psycho is Patches, and I am the the best person to ever grace this stage, Ash. Got it? Good. Let’s move onto the awards!" The gray skinned girl snorted. “I’m not crazy, Ash. Just evil. And horny. Second, your introductions suck. Let me do them. The dickgirl is Haven, the bitch is Jane, the pedophillic vaginaboy is Martha, the crack whore is Cadence, the lovable rogue is Patches, and the attention whore is Ash.” “Shut your interrupting-ass mouth! This is MY show, so sit down, be quiet, and be glad my contract says you have to be on stage with me.” Ash barks back at Patches, ripping open one of her envelopes filled with results.

Tossing the envelope behind her, Ash looks at the crowd with a furious face.

Ash: “Really?! You want to give this award to a freaking cat dude and a cowboy?! Come on! Hmph.” Regaining her composure, Ash adjusts her hair back to where it was before she lost her cool. “I suppose you all just haven’t recognized my brilliance yet, so I will forgive you...this time.”

Jane: “I can be a hero too! In the face of danger, I will evacuate the civilians. And myself.”

Martha: “Kusuri, the first gem girl, was also nominated, but sadly falls to second. Callis and Crow are the winners! Now, cat dude? We have those in this universe?”

Patches: “I wonder if he has a barbed-”

Martha: “Next category before she makes us think about something we do NOT want to think about!”

Jane: “You sounded kind of interested before-”

Martha: “NEXT CATEGORY!!”

Patches: “I agree, but only because of boobs. I mean, damn. And the violence helps. I wonder if you could fuck that cannon. Ohh, let me do the next section!”

ARE YOU ALL READY FOR THE BEST FIGHT?!” Over the loudspeakers, a loud dubstep track reverberates through the concert hall, causing the audience to cheer in response. “We got three nominees for you today! The first being the massive battle against the tree monsters! It’s massive, and I can only bet it will get better! Next up is Kusuri and the others vs the hentai creature Koibito!”

Patches: “...I’m listening.”

Haven: “Ignoring the tripe trying to speak up, the last fight is the Gen’s Rescue Squad vs Ikari and FMY 1! How will those guys survive this fight? Guess you’ll have to find out for yourselves! The winner is…” The music begins building again, getting steadily more loud as the seconds went on. Just as the music began to get too loud…

“GRS vs Ikari and FMY 1!” Suddenly, a loud boom echos across the hall once more, as strobelights wave across the audience, causing more cheering to come from the crowd. Nodding to Martha, Haven turns down the music slightly. “Thanks, you’re all awesome! Martha, if you could take this next one?”

Martha: “Of course! The bromance is the classic platonic relationship among equals! Everybody could use a bromance.” She opened the envelope with interest in her eyes. “Why are there no votes!? HAVEN, WHY DID YOU GIVE ME THE ONE WITH NO VOTES!?”

Haven: “How was I supposed to know there were no votes?! Uh...vote for something yourself! You have all the power!”

Martha: “But I don’t know anybody... Hell, I’ve never had any friends either so I don’t know what makes a friendship good. Uhhh… Jane!”

Jane: “Eep! I mean, uh, Haven, you do it!”

Haven: “Looks like I’m back to save the day! By my singular vote, Crow and Sid win! Now, onto the next category!

The green-haired girl on the other side of Jane stares blankly at the crowd, a small pipe in her hands with a trail of white smoke trailing off into the air. She looked completely absent from the event, but closes her eyes for a second anyway, opening them back afterwards as she began talking in a bored tone.

Cadence: “...sure. The best rivalry...a contest between two..or more...people over petty things. The nominations are as follows...Sid and Dan...and Falken and Garo...the winner if Falken and Garo...why does nobody have last names…?”

Ash: “Because they are too lazy to come up with ones! Or didn’t put them on the voting sheets! Something I would never forget to do.”

Cadence: “...sure...next category…”

CROWNING MOMENT OF AWESOME

Ash: “MY TURN AGAIN! Nobody is more qualified than me to present this! Ahem...the nominations for this category, which will undoubtedly include me, are; NOT THIS AGAIN!” Tossing the envelope into the air once more, Ash incinerates the paper using her powers, glaring at the audience for a second, then regaining her composure once more.

“...Anyway, I’m not mad about not being included…” Ash’s eyes visibly twitch. “...I am just disappointed in you all...nominees are the Invocation of the Gainen, Ikari blocking all of Crow and Sid’s attacks, and Crow trapping Ikari under pile of metal. The winner is the Gainen thing. Someone else take the next one!”

Before anyone could respond, Ash runs backstage, where a loud “CRASH” could be heard after some faint expletives being said.

CROWNING MOMENT OF FUNNY

Patches: “Being the token hilarious, I’m set for this one. Our only entry is Callis naked in Kyoto. As well all know, the nudity-based humiliation of others is great for comedy. Especially when you add to it, like making them crawl on their bellies in hot coals or broken glass before you-”

Martha: “Changing the topic before I’m forced to scream incoherently at you, wasn’t Callis the cat guy?”

Patches: “What, did you want pictures?”

Martha: “Oh, shut up. I just thought he was like a wookie or something and all covered in fur. And because I know the next category will be ruined by Patches, I’ll take it.”

BEST TEARJERKER

Martha: “It can’t be all fun and games, folks! Sometimes a kid stubs their toe, or loses their balloon, or gets picked on! And when I’m not there to make it all better-”

Patches: “With a highly inappropriate kiss.”

Martha: “GRRRR. I’ll just get on with it. What are the votes?” Once again, Martha opened the envelope. “A-again. ARGH! Alright, next time.” She tossed the empty envelope aside and sat down to start breathing deeply.

Patches: "Maybe the tearjerker is you showing off your stunning lack of professionalism and being humiliated in front of everybody."

Martha: "...shut up."

BEST LINE

Ash: “Move over, it’s my turn again!” Ash comes running back from backstage, a tiny amount of dust coating her fists now. Someone’s going to have to clean up the mess backstage later.

“Since I KNOW you all don’t have good taste, I won’t expect myself to be featured here either. Here are your freaking nominees. Ahem;

Falken’s reply to Warden’s acidic threat, ‘You’re Eve’s father!?- With just a hint of shock before looking up in a split second of thought and added. –Eh, checks out…’

...and that’s it! That was the only line submitted this month! Maybe next time, you all can remember some of the stuff we say, especially mine!”

Haven: “Now now...they don’t have to vote for you if they don’t want to Ash. Next category please.”

BEST COUPLE

Martha: “Okay, you sure you want me to do this? Yeah, there’s no way it’ll happen a third time.”

There was a long pause after Martha opened the envelope. She was nearly in tears when she threw it aside and stomped off the stage. From behind the stage, there came sounds of a conflict.

Martha: “Who are you?”

: “Doesn’t matter! This show must be cancelled!”

Martha: “Oh, you’ve picked the wrong day to piss me off!”

There were a few earthshaking crashes from backstage and then defining silence. With a chuckle, Patches went back to see how she could “help” with the situation. A few minutes later, she came back, dressed in a suit she hadn’t had before and splattered with blood.

Patches: “Problem fixed. Martha’s cleaning up. Next category.”

BEST SHIP

Patches: “Well, you guys are worthless. All we’ve got is Falken and Eve. That sucks. I can do better than that! In fact, I will! Marceline and me, Masako and me, Huntsman and Masoko, Crow and Ikari, me and all of you foolish whores! Now that one’s going to be canon!”

Jane: “But Falken and Eve win…”

Patches: “Hey, have you ever been naked in front of everybody ever?”

Jane: “Uh… no.”

Patches: “Do you want to be?”

Jane: “No!”

Patches: “Then shut up. Patches and everybody wins.”

Haven: “Hey! Don’t talk to Jane that way! Whatever, I don’t care about ships. Next!”

BEST STORY THREAD

Cadence: “...I will take this one...the best story needs to be both interesting to read...and participate in...or so they tell me…”

Ash: “Yeah! It needs to be epic, awesome, and smart, just like m-”

Cadence: “...just like you...yes...we know...anyway...the nominees are Cave and Lake. Caves are nice...filled with interesting plants...let’s give it to that…”

Haven: “I...don’t think that’s how it works Cadence. Oh well, the winner is Cave!”

BEST LOCATION

Jane: “Oh, my turn! Well, where a story takes place is really important because it’s part of the setting, and a well developed setting is like a character itse-”

Patches: “Shut up, you little nerd! Have you been talking to Cosmina again? Winner is Sakurajima because it’s the only thing people voted for!”

Jane: “I was getting to that…”

BEST NPC

Haven: “Things are getting too weird over there, so I’ll take the next category! Are you all ready to hear who’s the best NPC?!”

The crowd makes a slightly weaker cheer, indicating that they didn’t seem to care as much about this category.

Haven: “Tough crowd. Anyway! We had one vote this time around! And it was for the amazing...Velvela! Congrats!” On cue, the lights swing across the concert hall once more with blaring music, exciting the crowd once more.

Martha: “Hoolllllllld everything!” Martha ran back onstage, dress splattered with blood. She gave Patches a swift obligatory glare before addressing the crowd.

Martha: “We shouldn’t celebrate Velvela’s victory because of bright lights and flashy music! We should because she’s a warrior for children! Kicking ass in the name of innocence!”

Haven nods in approval as he tosses an envelope to Martha. “Trust me, I check this one and there IS one in here.”

BEST NPC VILLAIN

Martha beamed with joy. “Really? I get to read one with actual entries? Thank you so much! The NPC villain is much the same as a NPC, but more evil. Like Patches.”

Cadence: “...what about Marika? Come to think of it...where is she...figured she’d be taking over by now...the slave driving little…”

Patches: “Oh, Martha and I handled her. We put sleeping pills in her coffee this morning.”

Jane: “W-when will she wake up?”

Martha: “Well honestly, we were hoping she wouldn’t. We just couldn’t find any rat poison. Anyway, Marika’s not on this list, but Gen’s mother and both Makai Kishi and Kobito have one vote each. I choose Kobito Kishi of course! That horrible little slime beast attacks even children!”

Patches: “She’s my idol.”

Martha: “I hate you too.”

Haven: “I think we all hate Patches. I wonder how long it’ll be before you’re nominated for best villain...scratch that, you don’t deserve even that award. You filthy monster.”

Patches: “Give me a week. I’ll get there.”

Haven: “And I hope ‘there’ means into a lava pool. Cadence, start the meta awards please.”

BEST WRITER

Cadence: “...ok, I can do that...the best writer is the one who puts in the most detail...provides the best imagery...builds the world...that stuff…” Cadence takes another puff of her pipe, releasing another stream of white smoke.

“...nominees are...Waybig10101...why does he have binary in his name…? The other nominees are...The Last Gunslinger and Kuma...Kuma wins by a landslide…”

Jane: “I wonder what the binary means.”

Patches: “It means you’re a nerd.”

Martha: “Jane has a healthy curiosity, so shut up. I’d better take the next so Patches doesn’t get her gooey hands on it.”

BEST PLAYER

Martha: “I guess the best player is the one who follows the rules and is always the first to help others, the white knight to those in need!”

Patches: “Jane, I take it back. Martha is a way worse nerd than you.”

Martha: “Shut up. The nominees are Kuma, Vapo and Hungryhunter, with Hungryhunter coming in the lead! Which is weird, he’s really pretty rude.”

Patches: “Especially to nerds.”

Martha: “I will throttle you with your own threads!”

Ash: “ALL OF YOU! Shut up! The last and most important category is next, and I WILL be taking it!”

VICER OF THE MONTH

Ash: “I know you all missed me while listening to me...sisters. But I am here to give us the perfect ending to these awards! It’s the final category, the vicer of the month! Who was the best overall person on the forum, only able to be a tenth as great as yours truly?! Let’s find out! Nominees are;

Hungryhunter and Waybig10101! And the winner...of the May Vicer of the Month is...Hungryhunter! The starving stalker wins! And as an added bonus, I have one more award to announce.

...the winner...of the best character on the Vice...is me! Ash!”

Cadence: “...what…?”

Ash: “That’s right! I won it all! So hah!”

Patches: Oh, we can make up awards? Great! Most obnoxiously loud character is Ash! Most fingerless man is that guy backstage! Most thinly closeted dyke is Martha! Most pathetic bitch is Jane! Most-”

Martha: “ENOUGH! We’re ending on a positive note!”

Cadence: "...Marika is still asleep and can’t tell us what to do?”

Martha: “Works for me. GOOD NIGHT FOLKS!”

VICEVERSE JUNE 2015 AWARDS

A single young man walks on a massive stage. Each step making a small noise that lightly echoes throughout the wide open space. All audience members stop their conversations and turn their eyes upon the lone fellow. He wore a classic suit for the event. Nothing too fancy or expensive. But it felt perfect for the event. Yet, for the young man, he didn't enjoy the feeling of his clothing strangling him, especially the tie. Even after wearing the cursed object for a few hours, he couldn't get use to the choke hold of the damn beast. Taking some needed deep breaths to calm down and relax himself, the man begins to look around as he places his senses towards the sheer magnitude of the sight before his eyes. There didn't seem to be an empty chair today. And once more he is strike with nervousness. Thinking to himself, why he decided to convince his writer to allow him to be the host. He felt confident at the time, yet now he was starting to have second thoughts. His steps become slower and slower as he approaches the middle of the stage. Soon enough his feet stop in their tracks and he begins to feel the wight of his role more and more. Eventually, the pressure got to him and he then takes his first step back and was ready to run away when suddenly a voice of encouragement reaches his ears.

"You can do it Shin!"

Shin turns his head to the backstage as he looks at a wonderful woman with a gentle aura and a beautiful smile. She reminded him of his mother in a way, not so much with her physical appearance, but with her presence. She even gives him a thumbs up as if further demonstrating her support. He heard from his writer that the kind lady is called Leora, and that whenever he is doubting in himself, that she would be there to help him. He figure that his writer was referring to her as his co-host, but now he understands what he was talking about. Just being near her is enough to make sure Shin can be himself. Walking forward with energy, shine grabs the mic hanging in front of him and yells into it...

"LEEEEEEEEETS GEEEEEEEEEEEEET REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEADY TOOOOOOOOOO... WHOOPS! Wrong event" *Clears throat with a smile on his face as he hears a few laughs from the crowd.* "Now, we all know whats about to go down here... its time to see the highlights of the month once more in dramatic fashion. To acknowledge some of the greatest characters and players. Folks let me be the first to welcome you to the Vice Verse-" Before he could finish, a woman with red hair and green eyes had grab Shin and throw him into a wall, where he made a concrete
angel.

As Shin regains feeling in his body he was only able to muster a single word

"Why....?"

The red hair woman walks over to him and kicks him further into the wall as she explains. "You are taking way too long." She proceeds to walk back on stage and yells, "Come on, I don't have all day here. Play the damn intro and lets get this shit over with already.

Best Hero

As Shin is being attending to by a few medical professionals in the back room, a new person walks on the stage.

“HI Everybody. Sorry for that previous occurrence. We promise no one was hurt during the making of that little performance.” *Then whispering away from the mic* “Well no besides Shin…” *Speaking into the mic again* “Well, anyway lets get started.”

The crowd looks at this person and begins to mutter to each other.

“Ummm…. people. I need to get this going. So if you could kindly-“ “WHO ARE YOU!?” yelled a random voice in the crowd.”

“Oh me…Hmmmmm…. lets just say, I’ll be making my grand appearance soon enough.” The individual release a pretty unique smile and the crowd stops their discussions almost immediately.

“Now, then… I’m not really the over the top type, so I’ll just get straight into things. The nominates for the best hero are Ariana, Haruko, Crow, and Callis. The winners are…” *Looking over the list to make sure this was right.* “Ariana and Haruko. Congrats girls.”

The mysterious man walks off the stage while giving the audience a little goodbye hand gesture.

Best Neutral

Chase walks on stage and as soon as the crowd spots him, a few girls starting screaming his name, meanwhile a few guys just gave him the middle finger, and one particular fan charges the stage in an attempt to hug him. The fan was an extremely large man.

“I really fucking hate this job” he whispered to himself about presenting for the awards.

Chase proceeds to kick the excited fan into the Shin shape hole in the wall, which then become just a massive hole in the wall.

“Alright. Lets see…the nominees for the best Neutral this time around are… Eve, Jose , Maya, and Garo. And the winners are Jose and Eve.”

“Good job making the world a better place in your own unique way and what not.”

The members of the first row could swear to each other they heard the man on stage ask for a beer as he walks backstage.

Best Villain

A man with a crimson red suit appears on stage from nowhere in a puff of black smoke, which begins to head towards a few people in the front row. Causing a bunch of coughs that eventually leading to people coughing up blood and their own organs. People begins to freak out, then the man snap his fingers and the audience members bodies could no longer move as they are paralysis.

“Calm down people. The individuals who just died are random strangers to most of you. There is no need to get upset or anything. Besides, those people are lucky… what I plan to do to the rest of you….” His eyes glow red.

Suddenly, a hand came out of nowhere and slap the Spirit of Unbalance on the back.

The hand belong to a big beard fellow, who seem to be laughing at a bad joke that no one could understand.

He waves his hands and the people who puked to death vanish. “Simple illusions. Nothing to get so crazy for.”

“Why did you have to do that?” asked the Spirit of Unbalance.

“Because, if we allowed you to continue this could have taken all the time we have for the awards.” responded Osamu with a mater of fact tone, but with a smile on his face.

“Fine, but next time, I’m going to be hosting this little event.”

“Just do your job already” said Osamu before disappearing.

“Fine. The nominees for the Villains of the month are… Marika and…Well well well, it seems I am also nominated. Its good to finally be recognized by the academy for all the hard work I put into my performances!”

The crowd nor the people backstage wanted to point out that the Spirit of Unbalance was writing his own name on the list as he goes on.

“And the winner is….. no one. While, isn’t that anticlimactic. Perhaps I should make this more interesting?”

The Spirit disappears with an evil smirk on his face

BEST FIGHT

The woman who had earlier kick Shin into the wall appears with a gleaming smile on her face.

“Now this is my type of award. Lets see who kick some serious ass this month.”

She pulls out a list and begins to read, “nominees … Group vs. Byakku, Sakurajima Warriors vs Gainen, GER vs Ichi, and the Tree battle.”

“I don’t know what the fuck a tree battle is… but lets see who won this most worthy award.”

"And the victor is… Sakurajima Warriors vs Gainen.”

“Now, if you excuse me, this award got my blood flowing with battle energy.”

She charges in the back room yelling as if she was unleashing a battlecry and commands “CHASE! PUT THE BOTTLE DOWN! PICK UP THE SWORD! AND FIGHT ME!”

BEST BROMANCE

Smith walks out and gives the people a friendly smile.

“Hello everyone! I hope you don’t mind some of the more bizarre elements of this show. Once again, we can not stress to tell you that no one has been hurt” I least within the last minute or so, thought Smith.

“Now, without further delays…the nominees for the best bromance. We have some excellent picks this time around. We have on one side some lovely young ladies, Ariana and Velvela. And other side we have a pretty badass duo with Sid and Crow.”

“And the winners are… Sid and Crow.”

“Good Job bros!”

Smith walks off the stage and lets the next presenter enter.

Best Rivalry and Best Ship

Alex slowly walks out and stares at the crowd for minutes on end. No one knew what to do. They were afraid to protest or ask questions with this man, who seem to come out of horror films.

As time passes, even the people in the back were beginning to look at each other nervously. They had hoped Alex would understand the need to move quicker, yet they fear something like this would happen with him. That is why they had an emergency plan.

Someone from behind throws a rock a Alex, which gets slice to tiny pieces. The audience members dare not say a word now, fearing the man had the ability to rip things apart with his mind, when in truth… they could not see the wire threads he used against the rock.

Still, he understood the message.

“The nominee for the best rivalry ………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….Garo and Falken and only Garo and Falken”

Alex walks off the stage and after looking at the crowd for a few more minutes.

“Also best ship goes to the only ship… Haruko and Callis.” said Alex as he disappears into the shadows.

Crowning Moment of Awesome

An individual with long hair and an expressionless face arrives on stage and looks around a bit as he stares everyone done for a little while. Trying to figure out the best way to display this award for everyone to get pump. Yet, once he notice that mostly everyone seem to be suffering from anxiety. He just determines that the best method to use here.

“Looks like some people are a little worried about something. Don’t worry, I promise that nothing odd is going to happen.”

The individual didn’t smile when he said that, but he sound so genuine the crowd actually believed him.

The crowd however wanted to ask who he was, but they would become frighten at the thought that they were going to experience another terrifying moment for them.

“Pardon me, but I’m going to take a moment to express my gratitude. Thank you so much guys. And I hope that I can see everyone again next time when we do this.”

“Anyway, lets getting going. The nominees for the best moment is Velevela wounding Byakku with a grenade and Sid, Rin, Dan and Haruko Combined attack on Ichi.”

“The winner…Velevela epic grenade treat for the Byakku.”

BEST TEARJERKER

Leora walks out on the stage and the crowd gives mighty cheers.

She waves back and gives a friendly smile, which cleanses any negative emption and concern the audience members were undergoing throughout most of this event.

“Hi everyone. Its great to to see so many new faces here tonight and some old ones.”

“As you all know, this is the reward that is given to the emotional scene, that can cause a physcial response in the form of water works.”

“People, the nominees for the best tearjerker…. Eve utterly betraying Ariana and chi’s Death (OSAKA). And the winner…. Eve betraying poor Ariana.”

Leora wipes a little tear from her eye before going backstage.

BEST LINE

Chase walks out onto the stage with a full of his clothes having sword cuts.

He was not in the best move, and because of a certain red hair, he wasn’t going to be able to do this part too line.

“Alright. Before a cray bitch tries to engage me in Mortal Kombat again, I’m going to present the award for the best line. Usually this award tends to be a toss up, but this time around we have a pretty clear winner.”

“The awards goes to Dan’s Unlucky for you, this warrior's soul works just fine as a blunt instrument line. Usually I don’t care for the words of others, being even I found the comment to be pretty great, especially in the context of what is going on in the story.”

“CHASE WHERE ARE YOU!?”

“Annnnd now I got to get going. Take care you soulless bodies.”

BEST STORY THREAD

Smith walks out again and offers another classy smile.

“Its good to see everyone again.”

He looks around and nods to himself in his mind as he could see that having Leora step out was a good idea. Along with having her keep the Spirit of Unbalance busy with her chatting. Otherwise, who knows what he would try to do.

“Well, since we are running out of time here, I will just get straight into the nominees.”

“The nominees for the best story thread is….”

“Another Roll of the Dice, The Cave, and Trees. And the winner is…. Cave.”

BEST LOCATION

Another familiar face shows up and gives the crowd a very stern look.

Jose walks out and coughs a bit before speaking.

“Sup… everyone. I don’t really have to much a personal connection to the nominees of this award, but I will admit that both the location and the stories that take place in these spots are pretty fascinating. So, if you haven’t explore the stories yet, I suggest you check them out after the show. “

“Anyway, moving on.. the nominees for the best location are… The Lakeside Village (Lake) Sakurajima, The mall in Field Trip, Smith Family Estate. And we seem to have a tie with all the nominees.”

BEST NPC

Leora walks out again and gives the crowd another one of her famous smiles.

“Well, it looks like I get to present again for you guys.” she said in a cheerful manner.”

“So, I hope your ready to find out about the amazing nominees we have for this award.”

“The nominees for the Best NPCs are… Martha, Haven, Velvela, and Ellen.”

“And the winner is…. Velvela! Good job everyone, and congrats Velvela for making such a wonderful impact. I’m sure everyone is looking forward to see more from you as well as the other incredible NPCs we have.”

BEST NPC Villain

The Spirit of Unbalance appears, this time he was not allowed to use his special entrance with his highly dangerous smoke. As he walks up he looks around and begins to laugh.

The crowd begins to get nervous and frighten once more.

“AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA”

“Alright that is enough laughing.”

“Anyway, lets get going…. with his award. I wonder who will win…. “

“The nominees are….. Byakko, Subaru Yukishiro, The Gainen, and Patches.”

“And the most evil NPC Villain….. is none other then the Gainen.”

“Good Job! I hope to continue to watch the chaos that you will bring.”

BEST Writer

A man walks out with a suit and offers a bright smile and a passionate aura around him, as if this topic brought out another level to his personality. Yet, regardless…the crowd was worried about seeing Osamu.

“HELLO!!!!!”

His shout was as strong as a stormy wind, causing hair, clothes, and even a few bodies being sent backwards.

“Whoops. Sorry about that. I just get to excited sometimes.” The big man begins to laugh, which causes the entire room to shake in rhythm to his laughter.

“Well, I might as well get right to it.” He begins to rub his chin as he looks around. “This place seems like its about to collapse for some reason now….”

Everyone in the crowd was blaming that on the presenter, but they dare not say anything.

“Anyway, lets see the nominees for the best writer…. HungryHunter, Kuma, and Last Gunslinger…. and the winner is…”

“The Last Gunslinger!”

BEST PLAYER

Shin finally making his full recover, thanks to Leora healing, is able to emerge onto the scene.

“Aright. Alright. I know you guys miss me.”

“Sorry, about what happen in the beginning…I didn’t expect to be kicked before….”

“I mean…It was all part of the act folks. Aha aha aha…yeah…thats right…”

Shin puts on a depress face that he could not hide

“Well, lets get this award going, shall we!?”

“The nominees are…. Vapovile, HungryHunter, and Kuma.”

“And the winner is….. Vapovile!”

VICER OF THE MONTH

Everyone walks on stage as Shin holds onto the card for the final award of the night.

"Alright guys! This is it! The main event for today. I hope everyone here enjoyed themselves and once more, congrats to all the winners and participates today.”

"Now…the nominees for the VICER OF THE MONTH!!!!”

"HungryHunter, Waybig, Vapovile, and Kuma.”

“And the winner is….. HungryHunter!!!!”

Ballons started to fall from above and music begins to play once more

Personal Awards

Alxis' award for superior sadism- "The way Eve just put herself behind her little sister when Byakku came charging. That's the coldest thing I've ever seen! I would try that, but Ashy would see it coming. And die.”

Callis Favorite Attack of the Month. –I must say I find Mes Hernandez utilization of his powers to control the earth a source of admiration for me. His creative variations against the Poison Gainen were of the highest degree of skill.

The auditorium was huge, way larger then it needed to be to house all the people who came to watch the show and most of the purple velvet chairs were left empty. The people in the occupied seats were looking at a large wooden stage with a red couch and two blue armchairs, one on each side of the couch. The couch was occupied by Loveline, Hazel and Remilia who were all wearing dresses in their favorite colors and with varying degrees of frills depending on the age. Arthur was sitting in one of the armchairs wearing a fancy suit with a blue tie and in the other was a young bespectacled man in need of a haircut and a shave.

"Hello everyone and welcome to the first bi-monthly Vice Awards. I will be your host, ChronoWolf, but you can call me CWolf. These are my co-hosts: The idiot mage..."

"Arthur Cromwell. And hey! Not even you call me that anymore! Jerk."

"The lovely angel..."

"Loveline Cromwell! And I would like to remind everyone that I'm a Gem Girl too. Just in case someone didn't know."

"The adorable nymp- No, no. I feel sick just thinking about that word. Our adorable angel..."

"B-Bonjour. I'm Hazel. Cromwell. Um, nice to meet you."

"And the cute outsider, at least for this gathering..."

"Hello, I'm Remilia Arling."

"Well, now that everyone's introduced, we can get on with this!"

"Hey, aren't we missing someone? Where's the samurai guy?"

"He's busy. He's, uh... Polishing his sword."

"..."

"She likes it when he does that..."

"And it's time to start the ceremony!"

BEST HERO

CW:Who didn't want to be a hero when they were growing up? Of course the answer is no one. So us writers obviously have to make some heroic characters.

A:Except for HungryHunter. He's too busy making psychos.

CW: And the nominees for this are: Haruko, Callis and Crow.

L: And the winner is a little bit beastly!

A: I blame all the cat lovers... Congratulations, Callis!

R: Congratulations.

BEST NEUTRAL

CW: My favorite alignment! The one that lets you do whatever you want, whenever you want.

A: And I bet the fact that this is one of the few awards that you tend to get certainly helps.

CW: Maybe... But I wouldn't be going around spreading such rumors if I were you.

A: Oh? And why's that?

Suddenly Arthur's armchair fell through the floor.

H: Daddy! Where are you going

CW: That's why. Have fun getting out of there.

L: Is it just me or are those alligators down there?

CW: Oh, right... I completely forgot to have those removed. Whoops.

R: Should we go help him?

CW: Naaaah, I'm sure he'll be fine.

H: No, you need to help dad!

CW: Don't worry, Haze, he'll be back in a moment. Remie, wanna read the nominees?

But Remilia was already gone so Loveline took the paper instead.

L: Alright! The nominees for this are: Alexander Stevenson, Katsuo and Shi, Eve and Falken. But... There's no one in the lead.

CW: A tie-breaker right at the start? And I have a character in the running? Marvelous! And the winners are obviously Kat and Shi!

L: But that doesn't seem fair...

CW: Hey, I don't know anything about Alex so I can't vote for him. And Eve tried to kill Ariana! I'm not gonna give her an award!

L: ...You forgot someone...

CW: Sigh... Fine, the winner is Falken!

BEST VILLAIN

CW: Well, those two still aren't back. And Haze is too young to read. Guess I'll do the reading this time then! The nominees are Marika and Kuro-san. And the winner is...

A: Haruko! I mean, Yamiko! For wanting to kill me and then torture my kids.

Arthur and Remily walked onto the stage with their clothes in tatters. Hazel instantly ran over to her father.

H: Daddy! You're back!

A: Well of course. I couldn't leave you and Love with that lolicon for too long.

H: What's a lolicon?

A: Um, I'll tell you when you're older.

R: You forgot to mention the raptors.

CW: Oh... Right... I need to have those removed too.

R: And the acid traps.

CW: So, about that winner. While I like Arthur's suggestion, the winner is Marika!

BEST FIGHT

CW: Spectacular fight are of course one of the best things about anime. Of course, writing fights is harder in forum RPs since constant perspective shifts sort of wreck the flow. But these fights managed to overcome that problem! Remily, you may read the nominees.

R: The nominated fights are Kyoto Heist's Ninja Brawl, Crow Vs Masako, Marceline vs. Sid and Hunters vs. Byakku.

CW: Oh great, another tie and this time I don't even know anything about most of these fights.

A: But you do know Marcy and Sid are in a DK match.

CW: And that those tend to be the best fights since no one has to figure out reasons why they character can dodge a killing or mutilating attack. Meaning tons of blood. The winner is Marceline VS Sid.

BEST BROMANCE

CW: Bromance is the ultimate friendship! And totally not gay! No, seriously, bromances are mixed gender a lot of the time here.

L: And the only nominee this time is the friendship between Ariana and Velvela.

A: Well, that was fast.

BEST RIVALRY

CW: Everyone should have a rival, right? Someone whom they can compete with and who will motivate them to get better and better. Let's see which people are best at motivating each other.

A: Oh look, it's another fast one. These awards will be over in no time at this rate. I think the people are trying to tell you something, CWolf. Can't say I blame them.

CW: Just read the damn winners...

A: Of course. The best rivals are Garo and Falken.

CROWNING MOMENT OF AWESOME

CW: Awesomeness is... Awesome, I guess? I don't know how to introduce this category... Anyone have any ideas?

A: Awesomeness is when you're so great at what you do that other people admire you for it.

L: Or when you shatter all limits and do something you shouldn't be able to do!

CW: Sure, we'll say that works. And the nominees for this are: that time Eve used Byakku's momentum to put him down.

A:That time Jose turned himself into a living meteor.

L: That time Toramaru gave a hand for the cause.

R: And finally, the combined attack in Cave.

CW: Aww, you ruined it, Remie...

R: Sorry? What did I ruin?

CW: Doesn't matter. So, who's the winner here? I could only find two of these and I'm not even sure if I found the right combined attack.

L: I vote for Toramaru!

CW: That's because you read his nomination.

L: No. Maybe. But it also sounds cool! If he gave up his hand to do something, that's awesome!

CW: Fine, fine. I mean, I don't approve of giving up your own limbs for anything, but I guess it does sound awesome. So the winner is that time Toramaru gave up his hand for some cause! And if he didn't really lose a hand, I will be very disappointed.

CROWNING MOMENT OF FUNNY

CW: Humor is very important. If we didn't laugh, our lives would be very dull.

A: Oh, you mean like this show? I mean come on, you couldn't even write a single joke? Make someone get into an argument? Do something to liven things up!

CW: You want a joke? Fine, here's one. Knock knock.

A: Who's there?

CW: Sayhai.

A: Sayhai who?

CW: Say hi to the alligators for me.

And Arthur's armchair fell through the floor again.

CW: Where were we? Ah yes. The funnies moments were apparently Erin getting picked up in the giant wolf's mouth and Moe grabbing Maya's ti- er, toys. Maya's toys. Love, could you take Hazel to the bathroom? I think she needs to go.

H: No I don't.

CW: No, really. I think she does.

L: Why?

CW: Just do it...

ChronoWolf watched the girls leave.

CW: My tie-breaker goes to Moe grabbing Maya's love pillows. Now, some would say that this is because I'm jealous because the wolf is bigger then Arthur's. Those people would be correct and it's definitely not because I'm a pervert. No sir, no pervert here.

BEST TEARJERKER

A: So the good news is that you no longer have to worry about getting the alligators removed. Or the raptors. Or the- Hey, where'd Love and Haze go?

CW: Haze had to go the toilet.

A: Aha... Sure. Are we gonna wait for them this time, or...?

CW: Yeah. Yeah we should. Ooh, we could tell jokes while we do!

A: ...Oh no you don't. I'll handle the joke telling this time.

CW: Fine, fine. Go ahead.

A: A woman gets on a bus with her baby. The bus driver says: ''Ugh, that's the ugliest baby I've ever seen!'' The woman walks to the rear of the bus and sits down, fuming. She says to a man next to her: ''The driver just insulted me!'' The man says: ''You go up there and tell him off. Go on, I'll hold your monkey for you.''

Just as he finished, the two girls came back.

H: I told you I didn't have to go!

CW: Oh well, it was better to make sure. And you're just in time for the tearjerker!

A: Wait, this is the tearjerker category? Then why did you let me tell a joke here!

CS: To... lighten up the mood? Or because I thought there were no tearjerkers. You decide.

A: I think it's because you're an idiot with terrible timing.

CW: At least I didn't tell a joke during a time of mourning. Speaking of which, the only nominee for this category is Ariana and Velvela's interactions. I would personally pick the time Eve betrayed Ariana and fired a missile at her, but my votes don't count.

BEST LINE

CW: Memorable catchphrases are probably what Arnold Schwarzeneger is probably best known for. And George R.R. Martin is doing his best to knock some catchphrases into out heads, whether we like them or we like them even more. These aren't exactly catchphrases since we only hear them once, but they're memorable and probably awesome.

R: There is only one nomination for this. "I've killed too many to let the opportunity to save one pass me by." said by Dan Drake in The Cave and it is a line which I personally find quite admirable.

A: Really? Saving a single person won't change much but he makes it sound like such a big deal.

R: At least it shows he regrets killing people. You show no regret even though you probably killed more.

A: I'm just better at hiding it. And I saved more lives, even if most of them weren't in this timeline. I would have saved more here, but since all the focus is on it, I can't really mess with its continuity. It's disappointing, but some things just have to be accepted.

BEST COUPLE

CW: I would talk about couples and love and what not here, but seeing as I've never had a girlfriend, I don't feel I have the right to do so. In fact, I'll let you guys do this category while I wallow in self-pity.

A: Well unlike that loser, I can talk about love since I had five girlfriends so far and only two of them are faceless and completely unimportant! Love is one of the most important emotions in the world. It connects us and makes us whole and happy. Except when it's unrequited and tears our hearts asunder. Or when you end up killing your girlfriend to save a minor who then becomes your girlfriend and then you have to leave her because she's a minor and you only ended up with her because your writer was told something would happen but it didn't happen and-

L: And most importantly, Love is my nickname which means it's the greatest thing ever. And the nominees for this are...

R: Katsuo and Shi. Just Katsuo and Shi.

A: Wait, really?

R: Yes. There was only a single vote for best couple.

A: And it's those two? Hey CWolf, you won't believe this!

CW: Hm?

A: The winner is Kat and his yanyan!

CW: Wait, really? Oh happy days! I always knew yanderes would bring me happiness! This almost makes me completely forget my misery!

BEST SHIP

CW: Ah, shipping. Instead of crying over the fact that I'm forever single, I get to pick a girl and imagine her as my girlfriend. Then I get to cry over how pathetic that is.

A: Oh no you don't. You're staying right here. Love, read the nominees before he turns into a fountain again.

L: Right! The nominees are Falken and Eve...

A: Wait, aren't those two already a couple? Or at least fu- Um, very close friends who get even closer on occasion.

L: ...and Shi Kaze and Eien no Ha

CW: NO! MY YANYAN!

A: Calm down, it's just a ship.

CW: MY YANYAN!

A: Technically, she's Kat's yandere...

CW: MY YANYAN! But... As much as I hate it, I think they're the better ship.

L: Sword love wins! Yay!

BEST STORY THREAD

CW: There are two types of threads in the world. Ones that can hang with me and ones that are scared. So baby, I hope you came prepared.

A: ...No. Just... No...

CW: What I meant to say was, there are story threads and there are fluff threads. Ones progress a story, obviously, while the others are casual threads which don't have to have any impact on anything. The fluffs could just be a dinner between friends or lovers and they may or may not involve a lot of silliness. The story threads on the other hand are more serious and probably impact universe canon. This category is for the story threads that impress us vicers more then the rest.

A: The nominees here are: Osaka Ablaze, Kyoto Heist, Trees and The Cave.

CW: And it seems I'll need to be a tie-breaker again. It makes since, after all, I'm like the ringleader, I call the shots.

A: And you also don't get to talk until you get the Britney out of your system. How did it enter your mind anyway?

ChronoWolf shrugged and waived his head, unable to talk because of the ice wrapped around his head.

A: In any case, as he cannot talk, the duty to break the tie falls unto us. So, uh, did anyone read any of these threads?

Everyone remained silent.

A: Great... I guess we'll have to leave this up to chance then. Good thing I brought some dice! If a die shows a number below 3, the corresponding thread is removed. Last thread standing wins.

After a few rolls, the last two contenders both refusing to give up, the winner was finally decided.

A: And the winner is... Osaka Ablaze!

BEST LOCATION

CW: Ah, we're at the locations already. Good news people, you're almost done with this! You could say that you're located near the end.

A: Was that supposed to be a pun? Because we would need to bring Katie here to upgrade a dictionary and make a word to describe just how bad that was.

CW: It wasn't that bad.

R: It was that bad.

CW: You're supposed to be stoic so your opinion doesn't count.

L: It was bad.

CW: You're just agreeing with your dad!

H: I-It was bad.

CW: Et tu, filia Hazel?

A: She doesn't know what you just said yet. I just started teaching her French, it'll take some time before we get to Latin. Anyway, about those awards.

CW: Oh, right. The nominees are Sakurajime island and Heavenly lake.

A: And the winner is that giant super awesome hotel I'm building!

CW: It doesn't count, it won't even be finished until next summer!

A: I know, but I really wanted to say that I'm having a super duper ultimate hotel built. The real winner is Sakurajima Island!

CW: Yes, well, let's just hope that hotel doesn't end its existence after a mere mention in an out of canon awards show...

BEST NPC

CW: While the spotlights are usually on protagonist characters, NPCs are no less important. Especially since they started appearing in RPs outside of their PCs storyline or even appearing in RPs without a PC companion. In fact, some of my favorite characters are NPCs, including my, er, Arthur's daughters...

L: Aww, you get a hug for that! Just don't get too happy.

CW: ...even though most people say that they're bland. At least Loveline since Hazel is completely forgettable.

L: And there goes your hug.

CW: Of course, I tell those people to go f-, er, familiarize themselves. With their orifices. One should always know their body as well as they can. Anyway... The nominees.

L: Still no hug for you. The nominees are: Velvela. And no one else.

A: Ah, people want to get this over with again? Hurray.

CW: Congratulations Velvela. I think you deserve it for being with Ariana when I, or my characters, can't. Just don't get too comfy!

BEST NPC VILLAINS

CW: Now, someone has to be a villain in every RP and it can't always be a protagonist. That's why we have NPC villains whole, unlike normal NPCs, tend to stay in storyline RPs. Or so I think.

L: The winner is the Ancestor Deity as he is the only nominee.

BEST WRITER

CW: Finally we reach the player awards! Where we celebrate our comrades for how awesome they are.

A: And also curse them because they're better then you.

CW: Hey, I'm not jealous! I'm envious! It's a completely different thing!

A: ...You're not helping your case, you know. The nominees for best writer are: The Last Gunslinger, HungryHunter and Waybig1010101.

CW: And the winner is... I don't know... I think they all deserve it... And I feel bad about having to pick between them... So we have three winners!

BEST PLAYER

CW: Who was the nicest person here? The friendliest face? Who spits into pools of toxic waste to make it less toxic? Who is the player of the, er, bimonth!

L: HungryHunter!

CW: He's the only candidate? Well... I certainly know some people who wouldn't agree with this. Luckily they're not here so their opinions don't count!

VICER OF THE MONTH(S)

CW: WHo was the cream of the crop? The TOA of these two months. Who contributed to the site more then anyone else?

R: That would be HungryHunter again.

CW: Well, I don't think anyone could disagree this time. The guy's a beast, a monster. I sometimes wonder if he has a life outside of his house. Then I remember that I'm a pot calling the kettle black but with far less contributing. So I crawl back into my corner.

A: Yes, yes, that's sad, sobsob. The good news is, we're finally done with this!

L: Dad, you forgot the most important part!

A: The most important part?

L: Yes, we still have to do...

Cherry's bejeweled skull for most horrifying moment

CW: How's this the most important part?

L: I like Cherry.

CW: You didn't even meet her yet!

L: But I will.

Cw: Fine... And the winner of the Bejeweled Skull is... Warden's talk with Velvela. According to HungryHunter, he was terrified of his own description of the eye and the uncanny method of speech. Although I have no idea what eye he's talking about. Anyway, did we forget anything else?

L: Nope.

A: So we can finally leave? Hurray!

L: You know, you don't have to be that rude to your own writer... Even if he is a pervert.

A: But he sucks! Even more this time then he usually does.

L: Even still.

A: Okay, okay. If you want me to be nice, I will. Even if it's already time for the...

OUTRO

ChronoWolf cleared his throat. "Well, Arthur is apparently stoked we finally reached the end. And I'm sure you, the audience, are too. The good news is I learned my lesson and will go back to my not writing the awards policy after this!"

"Oh, don't be like that." Arthur tried comforting CWolf as per his daughter's orders. "I'm sure they're not as bad as you and I think. Besides, look on the bright side. You can shift the blame on the fact that only two people voted!"

"Yes... Yes, that will do! Blaming other people, that always works!"

"Wow, you two are terrible parental figures."

"I agree."

"Oh come on, this is non-canon. Not like you'll remember it anyway."

"Yeah, I'm a great parent! In the canon and off screen! To which you can attest, obviously. Especially when we're all in character which I'm pretty sure we weren't here."

"I think dad's un père merveilleux!"

"See?"

"Okay guys, we can continue this discussion somewhere where other people can't see it. As for you, our precious spectators, we bid you adieu. Please don't hate me after this show. Here, we will leave you a final gift. Hopefully, you will enjoy it more then you did this train wreck."

December Vice Awards 2015

On a snowy afternoon, the auditorium was filled with hundreds of eager people, awaiting this month’s award show. The building interior was decorated in a similar arrangement as an earlier awards show hosted by Vapo; purple and black banners with “VV” written on them hung from the walls, the second floor was filled with the more wealthy people who decided to attend, and a large red curtain covered the front of the stage. After everyone had taken their seats, a loud fanfare sounded over the speakers, and a man with short brown hair came walking out, dressed in a suit and tie like the other times he has hosted. Perhaps he should change his attire sometime?

Walking up to the microphone, he adjusts the envelopes in his hands, then begins speaking. “Welcome, ladies and gentlemen...to the December Viceverse Awards!!!” As he finished his sentence, the crowd begins to cheer as the curtain began to pull back, revealing...nobody? Just a single red couch sitting in the middle of the stage. “We uh...had some exciting guess for you. But I don’t know where they have gone…”

Suddenly, the stage is engulfed in a bright white light that blinds everyone for a few seconds. The sound of furniture being tossed aside and placed down could be heard, until it all stopped...and a new theme began playing on the loudspeakers.

On the stage now was a large, regal golden throne in the center of the stage, with two decorated couches positioned along the sides of the throne in an outward direction. Sitting on the couches was a young woman with long, blond hair tied up in two pigtails, wearing a gothic style black dress and holding a black umbrella behind her head. On the other couch was a slightly older man with ragged grey and black hair, black suit, and a wide hat on his head. In the center was the presumed leader of the trio; a man that appeared to be in his 20’s, spiky white hair, a white suit, and a carefree expression on his face.

“...Hey...what are you three doing here? I signed oth-” “You haven’t mentioned us in almost a year now! Do know how boring it gets just being on the sidelines?!” The blond girl interrupts, looking slightly angry at Vapo. “I get that Alice, but it’s hard to find a good topic for you guys…” Vapo responds. Nodding his head, the man in the middle looks at Vapo. “In that case, you wouldn’t mind us...taking over the show, would you? Either that, or I’ll just…” Suddenly, the ground below the auditorium begins to shake, the leader’s hand beginning to glow a white glow of energy. “Fine, fine! Just don’t break anything and we can use you guys, ok?”

And just like that, the shaking stopped, and the person in the middle began to clap his hands as he flips a microphone from the stage, twirls it in his hands, and smiles at the audience. “You heard it here, folks! We’re hosting this show! Allow me to introduce myself; I am Dante, and this is Hawk and Alice. Say hi.” Dante motions to the black-haired man and blond girl, respectively. Alice waves at the audience, while Hawk just sits there, arms crossed. Why the hell was he here?

“Now...let’s begin!”

BEST HERO

Vapo: “Best hero, the person who helped battle evil the most and is a shining example of morality to us all.” *mutters* “Not like this stage…”

Dante: “I heard that. Nominees are; Callis, Crow, Adam...oh my. Our winner is...Haruko!”

Out of the crowd, a tall figure leaped up onto the stage, carrying a bloody knife in her hands and snatching the card out of Dante’s hand. The woman had long, white hair that went down to her ankles, a black vest-like shirt with detached black sleeves, and a blood red skirt. There was a chilling murderous aura to her, evident in her scarlet red eyes.

: “Haruko?! I think you mean Yamiko! Who the hell made a villain party without inviting the dashing, elegant serial killer?! I did a shitload more than these three this past year! I think I still have a bit of that ninja bitch’s blood on my knife.” Turning the knife over in her hands, Yamiko began to inspect the blade, which at this point was tinted red with all the blood that had been on it.

Vapo: “Er...I thought you were trapped with Haruko...so I didn’t invite you.”

Yamiko: “No-n ca-non.” Yamiko waves her knife up and down with the rhythm of her voice. “I’m free, bitches! Now, give me those fucking cards before I carve up pretty boy over here!” She points her knife at Dante, who promptly tosses her a few from the stack.

Dante: “Of course, anything for a...persuasive lady.”

BEST NEUTRAL

Yamiko: “Best neutral! Who is so vanilla that Haruko has more personality than them?! Nominees are; Eve, Iris, Huntsman, Arlana, Dan, and Jose. Hey, I know that last guy! I should pay him another visit.”

Vapo: “So...who’s the win-AH!” At that point, Yamiko disappears into a cloud of fog, and reappears holding Vapo’s neck in one hand, and pointing a knife in front of him with the other.

Yamiko: “DON’T...rush me. The winner is Eve and Iris.”

Releasing Vapo, Yamiko reappears back on the couch, letting someone else take over.

BEST VILLAIN

Dante: “I will handle this one. Ahem, the best villain needs style, charisma, a masterful plan…”

Yamiko: “And some fucking balls. You hear that Andy?! You ran away from an idiot that can kick! I would have carved those legs off and used them as a back scratcher...so nice…”

Dante: “...right. Nominees are; The Count, Marika, and Kuro-san. Winner is Kuro-san. Congratulations, I hope we can meet sometime.”

Hawk: “I am pausing for dramatic effect! The winner is Gen vs Honorable Battle!”

BEST BROMANCE

Vapo: “Next category...best bromance! Which two people had a great platonic relationship, but will likely have rule 34 of them anyway?! Let’s find out!”

Alice: “Rule 34?”

Yamiko: “If it exists, there is porn of it. I fucking love it.”

Vapo: “ANYWAY! Nominees are; Dan Drake and Crow Cemeneterio, and Jose and Goemon.”

Alice: “Annnnnnnnnnnnnd?”

Vapo: “The winner is Dan and Crow!!!”

BEST RIVALRY

Alice: “Rivals! Fighting! Grudges! Which two had the best feud these past few months! The nominees are; Dan and Crow! Hey, they won the last category! Are they cheating?!”

Vapo: “Not at all. There is one more nominee there as well.”

Alice: “Right! The other nominee is...Kate and Cosmina Miyata? Ah yes, I remember Kate being ticked at that little doll. If they got into a fight, my money’s on the one who can make a rock into a grenade!”

Yamiko: “Seriously? That shrimp can pop a heart in seconds! What a boring fight that would be.”

Alice: “But Kate can still take her by surprise!”

Yamiko: “That runt has sonar!”

Vapo: “Uh, the winner is Kate and Cosmina. Let’s keep this moving…”

CROWNING MOMENT OF AWESOME

Dante: “I’ll take this one. Simply put; this award goes to the person who pulled off the most spectacular, flashy, amazing move you have all seen! Do I really have to say any nominees for this one? Here, I will give a small reenactment.”

Standing back up, Dante walks over to the edge of the crowd and pulls out a small, Asian man out of the front row and walks him over to the middle of the stage.

: “H-hey! What are you doing?! I didn’t even say anything this time!”

Dante: “Ssssh, you’ll ruin the moment. Now…”

Bringing his fist back, Dante’s hand begins to glow a hot red and gold glow, with a look of determination in his eyes as he held the man in his other hand. The stage began to shake again, just being in the presence of the energy Dante was gathering in his fist.

Dante: “FALCON...PUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNCH!”

Yelling as he lifted the man higher, Dante sharply brings up his red and gold fist and slams it directly into the man’s ribs. With a sickening ‘crunch’, he is soon engulfed in a bright red and gold light, and is shot like a bullet upward, through the ceiling, and straight into the skyline. He disappears into a twinkling light in the distance, likely never to come back down. Waving his hands to cause the roof to repair itself, Dante calmly sits back down onto his throne.

Dante: “Ah, I did LOVE that scene. Yes, the winner is Gen’s last punch against Honorable Battle. Carry on.”

CROWNING MOMENT OF FUNNY

Vapo: “Uh...not sure how I am supposed to follow up that...display. Alice?”

Alice: “Crowning moment of funny! Who made us all laugh! Let’s see...OH COME ON!”

Tossing the envelope on the floor, Alice folds her arms in disappointment.

Alice: “One vote?! Really?! You know what, I am adding my own! The winners are Kate and Cosmina fighting in Room for One More, and Lindsey teasing Ryan in First Day! Come on people, participate!”

Hawk: “How disgraceful, we must have more than one vote! Onward!”

BEST TEARJERKER SCENE

Vapo: “Best tearjerker scene, what made us all weeping for the character in question! Or at least, made us kinda sad. Nominees are...when the mother and brother die in Key, and Gen’s goodbye. Winner is...Gen’s goodbye!”

Yamiko: “This Gen brat is winning everything, isn’t he?”

Vapo: “Just those two categories. Maybe more. I mean, he DID have some great moments recently.”

Yamiko: “That just means you need to use me more! I mean it. Or else…” Yamiko begins toying with her knife again, tossing it in her right hand like a baton.

Vapo: “Right...congratulations Gen!”

BEST LINE

Dante: “The line that will be remembered by everyone for years to come. Which has been the most memorable in these past months? Why, I think it’s quite obvious. Everyone, say it with me.”

Walking to the middle of the stage once more, Dante begins charging energy into his fist once more, this time even more than last. The entire auditorium began to fill with red and gold light, the gravity in the room strangely getting more heavy as he concentrates more energy into his fist. He stared at the ceiling with shining eyes of determination as he prepared for something.

“-The power of everybody in my hand!

Breaking through the limits! All my might inside my fist, punching through you!

My Fighting Spirit boils inside my soul! My knuckles crack with anticipation!

No fancy names or techniques! I’m going to punch the hell out of you!

Everything I have is behind this strike! Take it a go back the fuckin’ place you come from!!!!!-”

At that moment, the same man from earlier crashes straight through the roof, where Dante slams his glowing fist into his stomach once again. All downward momentum he had was instantly nullified, and his body is sent straight back skyward, now even faster than before. A loud ‘BOOM’ was heard as he left the ceiling, and disappeared into a twinkle in the sky once more. Dante sat back onto his throne once more, crossing his legs and smiling widely.

Dante: “I did love that moment. Hopefully Gen manages to come back down...not that guy though. If you couldn’t follow, the winner is Gen’s line before he punched Battle into space with himself along for the ride.”

Alice: “Whoa...that...was...AWESOME! You just shot him into space!”

Dante: “Hm...perhaps not space...but certainly high into the atmosphere. Needless to say, I don’t think we’ll see him for a long time.”

BEST COUPLE

Alice: “I call these next categories! Let’s see...best couple...AGAIN?!?! COME ONE!”

She tosses the envelope in front of her again, and repeatedly stabs it with the spiked tip of her umbrella angrily.

Alice: “No votes at all?! That’s even worse!”

Vapo: “Well...we don’t have any couples anymore, really. Haruko and John broke up. However, do we have one that I am aware of. So congratulations...Terry and Hammond!”

Alice: “How weak. This should be good, though!”

BEST SHIP

Alice: “My favorite category! Best ship! Let’s see who thinks should be with whom, in their minds! Nominees are...Iris x Haruko! Arthur x Martha! Yamiko x Patches!”

Yamiko: “FUCK NO! I can’t get off to someone who LIKES pain!”

Alice: “Ew. Anyway...Kate x Cosmina”

Vapo: “NO! Just plain no!”

Alice: “And finally...Gen x Wheatley!”

Dante: “That machine from Portal 2 that got shot into space? Sure, I’d ship it.”

Yamiko: “I think we need a new voice for this one! Hey, you! You’re a villain too, so announce the category!” Pulling on a chain, a teenage boy wearing black shorts and a black button-up shirt is brought out. His blond hair went down to his shoulders, and the way he dressed made him look a bit too feminine.

Miles: “Ow...fine! Best location! HWIC Headquarters, Gateway, Siberia, Smith Manor, Sakurajima, and Osaka! Now get this thing off of me!”

Yamiko: “Announce the winner, or I will give you that spider bitch you’re stalking back to you in a juice cup!”

Miles: “Ok ok ok! The winner is Gateway and Sakurajima! There!”

Yamiko: “Good. Now sit here until we are done.”

Yamiko: “Hey, two categories for useless people! Announce them!”

Miles: “Best NPC villain is for the lesser known villains, usually used for one topic. Unlike Marika, who is making a bunch of minions to kill people with!”

Yamiko: “Yet she is still a pathetic bitch. Now read the nominees!”

Miles: “Nominees are; Tyrone Heston, The Shishiohs, The Herald and...Kuro-san?”

Dante: “I think they misunderstood what NPC means. They all win.”

Alice: “Hah! Idiot! He’s even got a bio! Speaking of which, when are we getting our’s?!”

Vapo: “Very soon, don’t worry.”

PLAYER AWARDS

Vapo: “Before we give out the awards that break the 4th wall, let’s give out the special awards given out by voters! We only have one this time, so Dante, if you could please.”

Dante: “It will be my pleasure.” Getting up from his throne once more, Dante’s figure begins to shift into a slimmer figure. He grows a long red ponytail, his muscles shrink into a tiny chest, his outfit turns into a black shirt and short red skirt, and soon reveals his new form; Alexis Primrose.

Dante: “Alexis' Award for superior sadism: The incubus guy in Room for One More. Calling a little girl a bunch of parts? What a dick. I'm glad he got dumped. He gets an award anyway though, because that's my job!" His voice mimicked her’s to an almost uncanny level. After he was done reading the award, he shifted back into his original form and sat back down.

Alice: “That was cool! You should see the stuff that girl dreams about, I certainly wouldn’t want to stick around for those.”

Vapo: “Let’s not discuss that here. Nice work, Dante.”

BEST WRITER

Hawk: “Best writer! Which of you punctual peons writes the best?! Nominees! Kuma! Obscuris! Vapo! Percival! Waybig! The winner is a tie between Kuma, Obscuris and Vapovile!”

Vapo: “Thanks, everyone!”

Alice: “Oh! Me next!”

BEST PLAYER

Alice: “For the bestest player, we have; HungryHunter, Obscuris, Vapo and Chronowolf/TimePuppy! TimePuppy should win, puppies are adorable!”

Vapo: “That’s...not how this works. But funnily enough, the winners are TimePuppy/Chronowolf and Obscuris! Congratulations you two!”

Dante: “And finally, I shall end the show.”

VICER OF THE MONTH

Dante: “Who is the best of them all? The one with the most writing skill, imagination, social skills, and overall skill at role playing? The nominees are; Kuma and HungryHunter. The winner is…”

Yamiko: “Both of them, you whores! That’s it, show’s over! Go home! This auditorium is now going to be ‘Yamiko’s Hide and Seek’ game, where I am it, and if I tag you...I take your middle finger! Game starts in 30 seconds!”

With a shriek from the crowd, everyone begins to bolt out of the auditorium, fearful for their lives. Meanwhile, on the stage, Yamiko was rolling on the ground, laughing and clutching her stomach.

Dante: “You know that you can’t murder anyone without Vapo’s approval, right?”

Yamiko: “Bahahahahahahaha! I know, but I can still make them all piss their pants! Hehehehehehehehehe!”

Vapo: “Damn it...well, hope you all liked the show everyone. Good night, and merry Christmas!”

The smokey casino hummed with the sound of rattling dice and subdued music from the stage. Chips changed hands and cards shuffled, old friends and bitter enemies competing for cash at every table. Gambler by nature or out of character, it didn't matter here. The clamor died down when the band's last song ended. A girl with green hair took advantage of the applause to look at her opponent's cards, containing a grin when she swept the table.

One moment the stage was empty. They next, a rail thin man in a suit was standing before the microphone. "Been a while, hasn't it?" He declared in the voice of a radio announcer. "Looks like the typing heads upstairs haven't been paying attention, as usual. Well, who needs 'em? We'll do our own awards!" He gave devilish grin and a banner unfurled behind him. "MOG'S GRAND AWARDS CEREMONY". "Now, the Oscars get no awards. Not even one movie with a Demon God won an Oscar. And the Grammys? Warren Zevon should have won. Warren Zevon should always win. Now, as for the-" "Brother, we have acquired votes for the categories we are required to announce." A voice as deep as the Mariana Trench interrupted him.

"Dammit Swallower! I'm doing a job here!" The Master snarled at the massive being of shadow rising from the floor. "Poorly. You require supervision." Was the terse response of the Swallower of Worlds. "Assholes... alright, welcome to the whenever we remember to do them awards!" He announced to the crowd, vanishing and reappearing with a handful of envelopes. "Let's get this over with!"

Best Hero

"Ah, heroes. Easy to manipulate into doing something terrible. And when you do it's hilarious!" The Master cackled. "The guardians of justice and truth, lords of riotousness." Swallower poetically declared. "Or that. If you're into arbitrary morals. Let's see who is! Arthur, the one who likes little girls too much. Martha, the hair trigger psychopath. Kusuri, the jailbait. And Callis, the only one who goes crazier than Martha! What a lineup!" The Master declared. "And who wins? None! All of them got just one vote. Moral of the story is don't be a hero, kids!" He tossed the envelopes aside. "Hold, brother. We have the final word in cases of ambiguity. And I will speak for Callis. He is a good man." Swallower solemnly intoned. "Or cat. He's great until he scratches up your couch. Let's see what the people who aren't boring clods like you are doing."

Best Neutral

"And what they are doing is being placed in the wrong category! Jose? Hero. Arthur? Hero? Elyssa? Okay, neutral. Eve? Yeah... Cadence? Okay, fine, the last few are okay. But none of them win, anyway." MOG boredly dropped the envelopes. "We must finalize a victor." Swallower insisted. "How about Cadence? Cause she's as bored as you make me." The Master snarked, already looking at the next entries. "That is acceptable."

Best Villain

"And here's where we shove everybody who dares to have a little ambition or fun! The villains! I do suppose that matches Eve Harper and the winner with twice the votes, Marika and her dolls! Finally, something I like. So many interesting personalities to play with." He gleefully began plotting as Swallower gave his opinion. "Surely she is an unpleasant creature to make be given this award, but I congratulate her regardless for how she has succeeded in one thing." The Master waved him off. "Yeah, yeah. I'm sure she's thrilled that everybody hates her."

Best Fight

"Something nobody hates unless they lose, and even then I don't mind, are fights! And hey, one even involves an otherworldly abomination! I am happy to announce that Ancestral Warrior vs. the interviewees is the winner! Also-rans are Ariana vs. Loveline, which is adorable because old friends are turned against each other, and the battle in the diner from Fall of the Pink Comet. Oh hey, our brother! Ahhhhhh, fuck that guy." He smiled wistfully. "I admire him more than you, brother, as wretched as he may be." Swallower growled. "Mutual, bro. But the next is about liking people. We can come in again a bit later."

Best Bromance

"Oh, love. Like all the other kinds, this is just kinda weird and cute to me, but hey, I can't be the only one having fun. Swallower, who we got?" The Swallower cleared his throat and raised an envelope. "The nominees are Goemon and Jose, Shin and Shinshi, and Martha and Arthur. Once again, we find ourselves with a tie." He shrugged his four shoulders. "Well then, it's up to us! I think I like Martha and Arthur. They worked together to beat the crap out of somebody. That's the most entertaining kind of friendship!" Swallower rolled his four eyes. "I asked to be assigned to any awards but these... I wish more than ever that my request was granted." He sighed deeply. "Keep it up. Your bitching is thematic now!"

Best Rivalry

"Well sadly we didn't get much attention for this, but rivalries are amazing! A clash of personality, a war of minds! We have the fiery passion to do each other harm, found in both Shinshi and Sun, the two petulant pets, and Garo and Falken, whose parents hated them and named them after different animals. Sadly, while I enjoy the show of two small animals pestering each other on the way to defeating my brother, Garo and Falken are the victors." His smile wasn't dimmed too much as he flipped through the envelopes. "Perhaps we should move onto something stable people would find more positive." Swallower remarked. "I will handle this."

Crowning Moments

"A crowning moment, be it dramatic or humorous, is a moment so grand it may never be topped in a character's life. Whether it be alone, like Aria going off to fight the Queen of the Forest, or Ariana surviving Loveline's final attack, or they may be communal, like Martha striking down the Ogre hall's doors with Ash. And in the arena of jolliness and laughter, the antics of Goemon and Callis, the reaction of Shinshi and Kusuri to an accidental photograph, the speech Falken gave to Crow, and the plan of Martha. The honor of assigning a winning vote to each category falls to me. I declare the winners to be the destruction of the doors for its teamwork and Martha's plan for its demonstration of her character." "And the tearjerker is Balthios' death!" MOG declared. "That was not the category we were announcing!" "Whining and crying bores me. I want to talk about lines!"

Best Line

The Master theatrically raised his hands and mumbled a quick rule, and words appeared in the air above him as he silently read.

“Fullmetal Monks? A bit on the nose, both the robot part and the Kubrik Reference” Falken in Winter, "PEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRVEEEEEERRRRRRRTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!” - Kusuri Inoue in The Shonen Effect, "Ikkuma, I am not of your house, but it's an honor to take out a legend regardless. Even if you're totally an illusion. Now... bleed out to Bleeding Out!" - Alexis Primrose in Gates, “I can take on you any time Cementerio, no guns, no powers… I could kill you with a spoon if I wanted, but I don't want to clean the shit out of it afterwards.” Falken in Gala

The nominees splayed out above him, he pointed up at them. "I assume you all know what a line is. I like the Falken one. Kubrick references are always the best, and he made one himself in his line. I see myself as quite the director." He proudly posed, image changing to give himself a beret. "You are mispronouncing "dictator"." "Hey, didn't realize you were capable of humor. I'm making that your honorary crowning moment of funny. It wasn't great but its the best you've got."

Best Couple and Ship

"You know the drill. Sex, kissing, things I don't and can't do. Terry and Hammond win, whatever, nobody voted and they're the only couple so whatever ship time! Now this is the fun stuff! We've got Iris and the Count, Shinshi and Sun, Arthur and Martha, Kusuri and Arlana, Masako and Crow, Yamiko and Iris! You know, the Iris version of Iris, although either would be fun. But Kusuri and Arlana is just adorable. I wanna drug them up and see if I can make it happen." He gleefully raised the envelope mentioning them. "So they win!" "Your tastes in romance distress me." Swallower gave him a disturbed look. "And I guess you're an expert. How's it going with Hitomi by the way?" The Master's casual grin didn't take away from the bite of his words at all. Swallower muttered something and looked away, leaving MOG grinning and pulling the next envelopes out of thin air.

Best Story Thread

"Now here's another nice one. What were the best stories told? Now, I haven't told any good stories with you pawns recently, but good ones have been told regardless. There's Gala, The Shonen Effect, Big Strong Hands, and Fall of the Pink Comet. And honestly, even with the tie between Fall and Shonen, I can't bring myself to choose! They're both so fun! I'm not gonna bother, what's next?"

Best Location

"Ah yes, the setting. Always what I think of first when putting together a game. It adds flavor, and when you're smart, it even changes the story. And what we've got in store sometimes does just that! We've got the Count's mansion, the Ogre hall, and Gateway in that order of votes! Strangely, my home realm didn't show up on this, although I'm sure that's an oversight. It's a wonderful place, really. No entropy, and anything can happen. If I want it anyway. The no entropy should really be the biggest draw though, considering what's happening to your universe. I mean, not anytime soon, but it sucks. Feels like this weekend by my time scale." "Stop mocking the temporal ones." "I'm not, I'm being helpful. I've even got a way out of it! A get out of reality free card! All ya gotta do is-" "I will not allow you to turn this into a sales pitch. Let us move on to the next category." Swallower grumbled, pulling the votes from MOG's hands.

Best NPC

"Even the less important people participating in a story can leave their mark, be they good or evil. On the level more or less, Bertuccio, Balshov, Minister Hou, Norio Bushitora, and Baptisn endeared many. On the side of evil, only Abijah and Ancestral Warrior have captured the heart. And while Norio Bushitora has my congratulations, as he is the Best NPC, the diabolical ones are at a tie." Swallower looked to MOG to finish. "Abijah! This Warrior guy is okay, but Abijah's a good kid. Too bad she's got a shitty boss. Shitty middle management too. But you know what's not shitty? My transitions!"

Best Writer, Player, Vicer

"Here's where it gets real non canon, where I talk about people who don't exist form our point of view in ways that fuck with people's heads. First up are those who make our universe best. Here we have Obscuris and Last Gunslinger, who I'm going to browbeat into making that adorable ship into a thing, and then Iris, Kuma, and Waybig. Obscuris won, but I love you all! The same goes for the most helpful of the bunch, who include Obscuris again, Vapovile, and somehow HungryHunter. Who also won. By a lot. Somehow. Maybe Vicer will make more rational sense! Obscuris, Iris, Vapovile, Kuma, HungryHunter, TimePuppy. Kuma and Hunter are tied, but you know what? I like this tie. Keep it." "I don't trust you when you're kind." Swallower murmured, four eyes suspicious. "I just like them. Artists after my own heart. Playing with pawns too tiny to even realize. Oh, right, one of those pawns had some opinions! Welcome to the special award!"

He snapped his fingers and a muscular girl appeared in hologram from, clad in a small skirt and what amounted to a sports bra. "Ash's most awesome moment, ladies and gentlemen!" He introduced her and stepped aside. "And now, Ash takes the stage once more! Obviously I had the most awesome moment when I kicked open that door and revealed my dramatic entrance...but I’m being told to pick a moment that’s not from me. So being significantly less cooler, my award goes to Aria destroying the Lady of the Forest in Unforgiving Trees! You get points for style, just not nearly as much as me!" She declared with much exaggerated posing before vanishing.

"And that's the awards, ladies and gentlemen! The cream of the crop, judged and mocked. Anything else to add, brother?" The Master stood on the edge of the stage. "I would sooner swallow myself than continue this farce." "Then we're agreed!" The Master lunged off the stage, gleefully searching for a game to get in as the casino buzzed back to life. Swallower simply faded into black, shaking his head. Appalling. MOG didn't mind his opinions, enjoying himself far too much to care as usual. He needed to host these again one day.

December 2017 ViceVerse Awards

Located in a large concert hall in Belgium, the long-awaited return of the Vice awards was scheduled to begin soon. The hall was a massive venue with a mixture of brass and light wood panels decorating the walls. The room was filled with rows of high-end padded wooden seats, with two upper decks looming over the ground floor. The upper areas had tables set up, where various people were enjoying their dinner as they waited for the ceremony to begin. Among the people on the upper floors were a trio consisting of a man that looked no more than 16, wearing a black trench coat and accompanied by a black-haired girl that looked around the same age as him, and a younger-looking girl that had a dragon logo on her shirt. Sitting at a slightly cheaper-looking table with a strange purple stain on the hardwood were a group of 3 people. A woman sat at the seat directly facing the stage, her long coat looking out of place among the more casual-looking guests. Directly to her right was a meek-looking boy with pink hair that seemed to be tapping his foot, waiting for the show to start. On the other side of the table was a scary-looking red-headed female with a strangely large chest, who seemed to be bothering a man at the next table over, the man holding a comically large bottle of beer that could serve 10 people. The empty seat at the table was for the blond woman dressed in a dangerously risque black dress, who was across the room trying to flirt with a man with a long red cape, while a meek-looking priest tried to split the two of them up.

Finally, the lights dimmed in the concert hall and the red curtains up front began to rise. An unassuming man in his early 20s stood in the center behind a podium, a stack of notecards in his hands. He wore a simple black suit with blue tie, and black shoes. His posture indicated that he had likely done this a few times. “Hello! And welcome...to the December Vice Awards ceremony!” He announces. “As some of you may know, normally I’m joined by a few members of my cast to help me announce the awards. Well...that isn’t going to happen this time. Just me and you. Now...best hero…”

“Hoooooooooooooold it!”

Suddenly, the light on the stage dimmed and an ominous music track began to play over the speakers, resonating through the entire hall.

From the edges of the stage, a thick layer of fog began to roll through and cover the immediate area. A shadowy figure appeared seemingly from the fog itself and leaped onto the front of the stage, gliding across like an ice skater. The air around her was bathed in a dark red light, giving a sinister aura to the figure that had arrived. Her eyes were a piercing dark red, admiring the audience as she danced around the stage with a sinister grin on her face.

“Ladies and gentlemeeeeeen! You may now applaud...for the greatest performer in the world is finally here!” The slender figure stood center stage, the red light bathing the fog that rolled in from the stage behind her. She held out a long silver knife in her right hand, looking at the audience with eyes wide open with interest. “It is I...Yamiko! I hope we can have a nice...pleasant…” Suddenly, Yamiko threw the knife she was holding straight into the crowd, where it embedded itself in a person’s forehead. “...FUN time! You all agree...right?”

The crowd nervously applauded Yamiko’s performance as a medic jogged over to the unfortunate victim. Yamiko smiled at the crowd and took out another knife, forming a small heart with her hands while the red lights dimmed, revealing the rest of her body.

“Thank you...thank you! Now shut up!” The crowd went silent once more, Yamiko placing her hands on her chest and making a cute, innocent face. “...please? That’s so nice of you all!” Yamiko’s voice became slightly more higher pitched as she acted cutesy. The man who had originally been on the stage looked over at her and slowly took a step back. “So...Yamiko is here, huh? How’s life now that you’re free?” He asks. “It’s been amaaaaaazing! Oh...that is right.” Yamiko looked directly at him with her menacing eyes. “I have a bone to pick with you, Vapo. What the hell were you thinking, stuffing me inside that boring-ass hobbit for all these years?! I’ve been inside that bitch longer than any guy will ever be!” Yamiko asks, pointing a knife in his direction. “Uh...well...you weren’t really going to be much besides a one-off villain. But I had fun writing you...so you stuck around longer and are now free! That’s good, right?” Vapo says, putting the podium between the two.

Yamiko looked at him suspiciously, trying to decide her next course of action. “...fair enough! Let’s get on with the fucking awards, everyone!” She calls out toward the audience. “Sit back, relax, and enjoy the show! I also locked all the doors.” “Wait, what was that?” “Shut up you little shit, and give me the nominees!” Yamiko danced over and plucked the envelopes out of Vapos’s hands, moving back to her original spot.

Best Hero:

The screen above the stage turned on, revealing a small chibi image of Yamiko leaping forward to save a small dog from a burning building. “Starting things off, we have...best hero! Those wonderful people who run after runaway strollers before they fall off a cliff and into a crocodile’s mouth! Nominees are...Leora Clair! Uuuuuuuugh...she’s not heroic, just so sickeningly sweet that you want to puke. Next nominee is...Callis Nomene! Anyone surprised, anyone? Please stand up, I’d LOVE to show you another surprise.” The audience remained silent. A single cough could be heard in the crowd, and Yamiko took the opportunity to throw another knife at the source, this time sailing past the person’s head and embedding itself in a nearby wall. “Third nominee is...are you fucking joking? Tell me this is a joke.” Yamiko held up the envelope to Vapo, and he shook his head. “Nope, that’s real.” He states. “Uuuuuuuuuugh...she isn’t heroic! This pink-haired light novel girl is neutral at best! The nominee is Haruko Miyata. Now say the winner, I’ll be back.” And with that, Yamiko walked off the left side of the stage. There is a muffled scream from behind the curtain, followed by a loud cackling.

“...uh...the winner is Callis Nomene. Congratulations! Now while we wait for Yamiko...let’s bring out our third host! Come on out...uh...Amelia!” Once Vapo was finished announcing the winner and saying the host’s name, a tall red-headed woman wearing a black dress appeared on the stage and sat down on a large couch on the stage. Her hair reached to to her mid-back, and had a slightly annoyed look on her face. “You need my help with this? I didn’t get the memo.” She stated bluntly. “Come on, it’s more fun this way. I’m also your writer, so...yeah.” Amelia rolled her eyes at Vapo’s response. “If you say so. One question; if you are such a writer, why are these Halloween awards being given on New Years Eve?” She asks. Vapo was about to answer...when Yamiko strolled back onto the stage, her outfit now stained with blood.

“I’m baaaaaaaaack! Since you were wondering...he is just a lazy ass who has the attention span of a fly! A shitty fly!” Yamiko taunts. “Hey! I have other stuff to do. Anyw-” “And just who is this girl? Isn’t she the one who wears a dumb leotard and has a back that looks like lasagna?” Yamiko cocks her head slightly at the girl on the couch. “At least I have a medical reason to look dumb. You just look like an edgy 20-something who still shops at Hot Topic.” Amelia casually says to Yamiko. The insult made another smile appear on Yamiko’s face. “Oh...we got a fighter here, folks! How could she possibly insult the cute...innocent...adorable Yamiko?” She put her hands up to act like she was wiping a tear off her face. A knife was soon drawn from Yamiko’s sleeve and thrown at Amelia, who knocked it away with a saber she had sheathed at her side. “Are you done? Or do you need to go listen to some Black Veil Brides to calm down?” Amelia taunted. Yamiko looked on with amusement “And how do you know who Black Veil Brides are? Are you some kind of edgelord?” Amelia rolls her eyes at Yamiko’s response. “Just move onto the next category.”

Best Neutral:

The screen changed to another chibi image of Yamiko, this time holding a baby with a confused expression on her face. “Beeeeeeeeest neutral! You know who these are; the boring masses! Too spineless to be heros, and too weak to be villains! How perfectly milk-toast! Nominees are...Cadence Arachne!” “Is her last name really still Arachne?” Amelia interrupts. “Not really...she just doesn’t use one these days.” Vapo responds. “What, she doesn’t want to have the obvious last name? Ooooh...look at me. I’m a big ugly spider and my last name is Arachne! That’d be like naming me Yamiko Idolmaster, or you Amelia Lannister!” Both Amelia and Vapo paused at Yamiko’s comment. “Lannister? Like that hobbit guy?” Amelia asks, Vapo hitting the podium slightly. “Keep going!”

“The other nominees are...Yuu Arachne! Hooray for the useless parent! And finally, we have...Eve Harper? Huh...all big-boobed women. Is that really all you need to win this category? You’re all so boring, the only thing that differentiates you is appearance!” There was a brief pause when Yamiko was finished talking. “...right. Winner is Yuu.” “Hey!” Three knives came sailing toward Amelia, which she teleported away from and let the knives fly through the chair, which she teleports back into. “Don’t steal my fucking thunder! Please...nya?” Yamiko put her wrist out like a cat’s paw, twirling a knife between her fingers. “You’re...weird. Next category, let’s go.” Amelia instructed.

Best Villain:

This time, the image simply turned to black and had the words ‘not safe for viewing’ displayed. “Next up is...Best Villain! Of course, we all know the one correct choice here! But knowing how stupid you all are, my greatness will probably not be recognized today.” Yamiko let out a loud sigh into the microphone. “Nominees...we have Glasses McSpiderBitch! We also have the obvious ones; Kuro-san and Ikari. Honestly; why is Kuro-san even here? The old bastard rarely shows up, only says cryptic shit, and just a normal guy with a piece of metal! His goons know how to make themselves stand out! Ikari is like that one uncle you never know what his job is, and shows up one day with a pack of cigars in one hand and a severed head in the other. That guy knows how to take charge like a man!”

“You can stop gushing over him now. He’s subtle, while you are the loudest thing in the room.” Amelia states. “Of course I am! I wouldn’t be much of an idol if I were quiet! The winner is both Mr. Black and Ikari!”

Best Fight:

The screen flickered slightly, then changed to a chibi Yamiko with a red headband on, punching a shorter pink-haired chibi with a boxing glove. “For the next category, we have...the best fight! Nominations!” Yamiko squinted at the cards in her hands, and tossed them into the air. “Pah, not worth my time. You two can announce this stupid category.” And with that, Yamiko walked off the left side of the stage once more. Amelia sighed and slid the cards toward herself with the tip of her saber. “Looks like the nominees are...Goemon vs Tadao and everyone in Fall of the Pink Comet vs Avatar Dan. Wait, wasn’t she in the last one? Why would she not want to announce...oh yeah, I see now. The winner is Goemon vs Tadao!” Amelia placed the cards next to herself and leaned back to try seeing what Yamiko was doing backstage. “Think she’s coming back?” She asked. Vapo nodded his head. “Yeah, I have no doubt about it.”

Crowning Moment of Awesome:

“Next award we have is...the crowning moment of awesome! Wait...seriously? You guys actually use the word ‘awesome’ in an official awards ceremony?” Amelia asks. “Don’t look at me, those names were made before I showed up.” “If you say so. First nominee is...Martha destroying the bear zyborg in The Heart of Uzhastale. I have no idea who either of those are, so I’ll just move on. Next up is Garo vs Kluchud in Winter Nightmare! You seriously need to read some of these other topics, because having nothing to say is embarrassing, you know?” Amelia comments. “I like waiting for topics to end, what can I say? Let’s see...final nominee is...Yamiko dropping a massive truck on Avatar D-”

“Me dropping a bigass truck with a massive fuckoff spike on top of Dan!” Yamiko yells out from high above the stage on the catwalk. The sadistic idol then leaps over the railing and forms a massive maroon truck below her with a spike jutting out of the front grill. She grips the top of the truck and rides it straight into the couch Amelia was sitting on, smashing ⅓ of the stage in the process. She quickly backflips out of the hole and lands gracefully back onto the stage. “Thank you, my little squirrels! The masochistic little shit is gone! Applaud for me, since my attack in Fall of the Pink Comet was the winner!” The audience gave a nervous applause for Yamiko’s performance. She waved her hand outward to signal them to stop. “Now if nobody else wants to try upstaging me...next category, hm?”

Crowning Moment of Funny:

Changing the screen, the image was now just a simple image of Yamiko laughing. “He’s a fun category! The crowning moment of funny! Hey, do you want to hear a joke? What do you get when you cross a boy with mommy issues with Jesus Christ? A shouty kid who won’t stop coming back from the dead!” Yamiko paused for a moment to let the joke sink in. “Now...onto the nominees! First off we have Falken pretending to be a Russian commander in Winter Nightmare! See, that’s a man that knows how to get shit done! If someone is pissing him off, he can just shoot them in the face and move on! Anyway...we also have me in general in Fall of the Pink Comet, since I am a fan-tastic comedian! And finally we have...Martha shocking herself in The Heart of Uzhastale! And the winner iiiiiiis...Falken acting like a Russian commander! Not even mad about this one.”

Yamiko crumples up the envelope in her hands and tossed it behind herself, letting the piece of paper bounce backstage. “Are you little squirrels ready for...impression time?!”

Best Line:

The image on the screen shifted, now showing another chibi Yamiko staring at a skull in her right hand, a large white ruffle around her neck. “Here we go! Best line! I will show you my amazing vocal talents, and say these lines like they were originally said! Ahem...first nominee…” Yamiko cleared her throat. "The squid's called Huntsman. Looks like a real doll. Counts of murder on every continent. Including Antarctica. I don't know how you'd even pull that off." Yamiko paused for a moment to clear her throat again. “That was Clover in King's Treasure! Next nominee…” Yamiko continued, her voice now deeper. "Stingy, stingy. How am I supposed to rob you blind when you've already got cataracts?" She paused for a moment to let the audience process the line. “And that was Robin in Business as Usual! The winner is...Clover’s line! Let’s all give her a hand, she could use a new one!” The audience gave another nervous applause at Yamiko’s prompting.

Best Relationship:

The television screen flashed once more, showing an image of Yamiko holding a puppy in her arms happily. “And now for the category that you little shits had to merge into one! Best relationship! Not just couples or bromances! How are you losers ever going to find friends if you can’t even make two fictional characters hook up?! Anyway...nominations, nya!” Yamiko placed her arm out and wrist down like a cat paw, holding three knives in her fingers that she soon throws out into the crowd blindly. “First, we have Garo and Falken! The classic rivalry between a young guy who wisecracks like a character from Buffy, and an old fuck who probably still watches Westerns! Nominee number 2 is Jose and Goemon! Master and student! I have nothing funny to say about either of them, so...nominee number 3 is Rin and Gen Shishioh! Except...maybe that’s not his real name. Is Gen’s real last name Williams?! Find out when it’s revealed! The winner is...Garo and Falken!”

Best Ship:

The lights around the stage began to change once the winner of the last category was announced. Pink and blue colors replaced the red that had been covering the stage the entire time. A small icon appeared on the screen above the stage, displaying a small ship with a chibi version of Yamiko on top, her foot on the front of the ship looking into the distance. A new song began to play over the speakers.

“And now for the category you all have been waiting for! Best ship! Let’s see what fucked-up pairings you all came up with this time!” “Do we even have the rights for this song?” Vapo asks. “Ship number one is...Becky x Cadence! Furry ape and asexual plant doll? I can get behind this! And nominee number two is...Yuu x Callis? Really?” Yamiko throws the paper into the air, tossing a knife through it on the way down. “Come on! That one makes too much sense! Here are some actual ships that should be nominated!” Yamiko clears her throat, and grins toward the audience.

“Yuu x Masako! Jun x Amai! They were cute in Resort, right? Who cares if one of them is a horrible succubus! Garo x Falken! We all want to see that one, right?! Arthur x Cosmina! Amelia x Alexis! Gen x Dan! Sakka x Marika! Chase x his cat Creon!” Yamiko takes a breath from the rapid-fire suggestions. “And those are just a few examples! Whatever, the winner is Yuu x Callis by a wide margin.” When Yamiko finished her sentence, the couch from before suddenly reappeared back onto the stage, Amelia still sitting on it. “Ya know, I was going to hang out back there until this was over...but that was gross.” Amelia states. “How the fuck are you still here?!” “I can teleport. You saw me dodge those knives from earlier.” Yamiko’s right eye began to twitch slightly in rage...but she soon gave a warm smile. “You heard it here, folks! My won-der-ful assistant is back!” Her pronunciation of ‘wonderful’ had a distinct amount of venom directed at Amelia.

Best Story Thread:

The lights returned to their normal light red color when the next category was introduced. The TV image was now of Yamiko sitting on a large red chair, looking down at a book in her lap. “Why don’t you two do this one? I need some water!” Yamiko held up a small bottle of water at her side, and began to drink it. “Fine. Uh...best story thread. Nominees are...The Shonen Effect, Big Strong Hands…” “I wonder how he got such strong, hairy hands!” Yamiko commented. “...and The Lament of Dr. Lazarus. Here, you announce the winner.” Amelia handed over the card and leaned back against the couch. “Alright. The winner is The Lament of Dr. Lazarus! The long-running topic about interdimensional travel and dinosaurs! Congratulations!” Vapo announced.

Best Writer

The screen shifted to its next image; Yamiko standing triumphantly on a hill with a crown on her head. “And now...onto the meta awards! The ones that don’t involve us interesting characters, but you boring real life people! First off; best writer! I wonder who is going to win this one...not. Nominees are Kuma and Waybig. Who do you think won, circus girl?” Yamiko looks at Amelia. “Judging from your passive-aggressive attitude, I’m going to guess K-” “Yes, Kuma won! The long-time veteran player who is known for dressing up in a bear suit and punching women! Next category!”

Best Player

“Now we have the award for best player! Who...actually, what are the qualifications for this award? Just adding interesting stuff to people’s topics?” Yamiko asks. “Something like that. It’s a pretty broad category.” Vapo responds. “Well regardless! We have an unanimous decision for this one! Please put your hands together for our winner...Vapovile!” A more normal applause followed the announcement, contrary to the nervous ones from earlier. “Wow. Thanks everyone!” Vapo says as he looks at the crowd, Amelia patting him on the back. “Nice job. So, who’s the winner for the last category?” “That is coming up right now!”

Vicer of the Month

“Vicer of the...well, it’s not just the month, is it? It’s Vicer for most of 2017! Get off your asses and do these damn awards, you pricks!” Yamiko shouted toward the audience, then followed it by placing her two fists under her chin. “...pwease?” The blood on her body seemed to damper the effects of the cuteness attempt. “Nominees! We have...Kuma! Our very own best writer! Next up we have Waybig, then Vapo once more! And the winner...of the award...goes to…”

Yamiko pointed to the giant screen, which displayed a picture of the man on stage. “Vapovile! That’s right, you won again! And it was all thanks to me stuffing the ballot boxes.” “Wait, what did you say?!” “Thanks all the time we have for today, folks! Quick announcement; I locked all the doors in this building. You all have 60 seconds to get the doors open before I leave this stage! Annnnnnnnnnnnnd go!”

The screen above the stage now displayed a red timer counting down from 60, the image overlaying a cute gif of chibi Yamiko dancing across the stage. Yamiko herself kicked over the podium onto the floor below and began to dance to the new song that began to play as the people began to rush toward the doors, several crashes could be heard of people blowing the doors off their hinges. Yamiko skated around the stage like a ballerina, singing while the panic unfolded beneath her. Amelia had grabbed Vapo’s shoulder and teleported the two of them outside the concert hall, letting the sadistic idol complete her hellish performance. Once the timer reached zero, Yamiko leaped off the stage and began to throw knives at anyone still trying to escape, though the vast majority of people had left by that point. Her cackling laughter could be heard from nearby buildings as she worked her way around the concert hall.

2020 YEARLY VICEVERSE AWARDS

January 1, 2020

Located within the icey reaches of Valstand, a grand theater stood looming over the surrounding houses, which seemed to be repelling the blizzard that was befalling the town below. Inside the circular structure was the theater itself, adorned with banners representing the kingdom and their flag. On stage were two microphones, spaced 10 feet apart from each other, and a long purple couch for each side.

Arthur was sitting at a table with Loveline and Hazel, with Jen in a seat to his right. They appeared to be playing a game of Uno. Nearby, Eve sat at a table with Ariana and Becky, downing a large glass of wine while Ariana merely had a soda. Gal and Chloe sat at their own table, Gal leaning over and clearly bugging the tired-looking man on the next table over. Gen was near the back, and appeared to be arguing with two large men, one sporting an afro and large white coat. The explicitive censor spell was working overtime in that corner.

From the control booth high above on the opposite side of the stage, a voice echoed through the theater. “Laaaaaaaaaadies and gentlemen! Welcome to the 2020 Vice Awards!” A male voice rang out. “Put your hands together for our two hosts! First, she is a slayer in the Musashi clan and can bench press two cows with her teeth. Mai Musashi!!!”

“What’s up guys?! Ready for some fun? Let’s start this thing!”-Mai said as she made her way to the mic. She entered wearing leggings and a supreme hoodie. The crowd clapped for the Musashi, letting her take her position on her side of the stage before quieting down. “And our other host, the nicest person you’ll ever meet! Give it up for HWIC agent, my sister, and professional dork Erin Miyata!” He called out, Erin walking out and looking at the floor, face clearly red. She wore a long black dress with some gold patterning on the bottom, clearly Haruko’s handiwork.

“Wait I’m not the only one hosting? The hell we need two hosts for?!”- She interrupted before Erin could even speak. Erin looked up, eyes clearly wide for a moment when she saw how powerful this woman was, and looked directly to her right while facing her. “Well uh…that’s what the planning committee told me. Something about a...security policy? I-I’m just here because they asked…” She said, clearly not liking the confrontation.

“Pfff I’m kidding! Relax a bit will ya? Now what do you say? Should we begin giving awards to people or what?!”- If Mai had been closer, she would have slapped Erin’s back, instead she simply laid back to let her speak.

Erin turned her head, a wave of relief washing over her when she realized Mai was only joking. “R-right! Awards, yes!” She tried to casually lean against the couch’s side, but missed and ended up falling back-first onto the couch itself. She quickly adjusted herself and sat cross-legged in front of the mic, face red again.

“Are you done? Or maybe you came here a bit tipsy?”- Mai felt some second hand embarrassment as she saw the embodiment of clumsy take a seat. “Nope nope, didn’t have any alcohol! Moving on, yes, awards!” She tried to speedily move past the topic.

BEST HERO

“Alright, time to present the award for best hero, usually this goes to some goody two shoes vanilla character. Yo, Erin, bring up the nominees and prove me right!”

“H-heros aren’t always boring! But uh, nominations! We have Leor Saros, my sister Haruko Miyata, and…” Erin’s eyes widened when she saw the third name. “...ME?!” She squeaked.

“HAHAHAHAHA! Oh man I was so right! You are telling me we don’t have better heroes than you and that wimpy dude over there?!”- Mai pointed straight at Leor, who just made himself smaller in his chair.

“Who’s the last one again?”-Mai eyed at the stage until she found the match

“Well, at least she’s kinda cute. Go ahead and read the winner of this joke” Mai said, Erin puffing her cheek out in annoyance. Why was everyone else in her family cool and cute? “Uh, the winner with is Haruko! Great job, sis!” Erin called out, Haruko waving from her table with Kate and Cosmina.

“So, how does it feel to always lose to your own family all the time? Wait nevermind, we don’t have time for that. Let’s move on to the next award!”

BEST NEUTRAL

“But before that, ladies and gents, allow me to present the next set of hosts! First up, yours truly, mastermind of the Yoshihara clan and fastest gun in the East: Yoshihara Daisukeeee!”

The Musashi gunslinger walked past Mai pointing finger guns at her as she left the stage, knowing she couldn’t do anything to him while he took center, he was wearing a dark cowboy set and proceeded to clean up his metal arm as he pointed right at where he had come from

“Following my lead is the one and only leotard wearing beauty, Amelia Leblanc! A round of applause!” On cue, Amelia strolled onto stage, wearing a long red dress that vaguely masked the leotard underneath. “Nice intro, cowboy. Real great way to introduce someone.” She said sarcastically. Erin looked up in confusion. “Wha-hey! There are four hosts now?!” Erin protested.

“Not after i’m done with this asshole, you are dead meat dude!”- Mai said as she jumped on Daisuke. Suddenly, both Erin and Mai disappeared in a flash of blue light. The theater PA system turned on once more. “We have many hosts for you all tonight, and they all deserve their time! Now please, continue.” And with that, the PA system turned off.

Amelia took her seat on the couch and adjusted the mic stand. “So, we got neutrals? Sure, retail hasn’t turned me into a villain just yet.” Amelia shrugged her shoulders.

“Well I’m your huckleberry this time, the nominees are: Loveline Cromwell, Martha Arachne, Cadence um, Arachne AND Melin Argyros...AND THE WINNER IS: Cadence Arachne!”

“Can’t get more neutral than that. Ditching her team so she can go after someone. Cool powers at least, I’m sure Alexis would have wanted to fight her.” Amelia commented. “Let’s move on.” And with that, both of them disappeared into blue light.

BEST VILLAIN

A low bass began to play on the theater’s speakers, followed by the sound of a guitar strumming low, ominous chords. Fog began to roll in from the left side of the stage, the music getting louder. Finally, a voice began to cackle.

“I’m baaaaaaaaaack! Did you all miss me?” From out of the left side, a tall woman wearing a tight black sleeveless shirt and a black and red miniskirt glided on stage, the music now in full swing. She tossed several knives into the crowd, intentionally missing several people by inches. “Was there ever any doubt that I’d host this one? You know and love me, Yamikooooo!” She grinned a toothy smile, white teeth practically shining like freshly polished knives.

“And I guess I have to call out someone else. Let’s go, princess.” She boredly said to the right side.

Akane made a dignified walk as she looked down upon Yamiko.

“I saw what you did to the audience, maybe we should have a one on one talk after this is over”
Musashi took a deep breath, then proceeded with the ceremony.

“Present the nominees, scum”

Yamiko narrowed her eyes, but kept grinning. “Oooooooh, looks like they brought the knight in skin tight armor along. Tell me, does that suit ever rub up against that broom handle you have shoved up your ass?” She asked, grinning and taking out her cards.

“If you are so curious then how about I shove it up yours?!”- Akane got in her face but shrugged as she turned her back on her. Yamiko chuckled a few more times and pulled out her cards once more. “Oh I think we’re going to get along juuuuuuuuuust fine. Nominations!”

Yamiko snapped her fingers, summoning a deep red construct of the people as she says their names. “Three nominees! Marika Arachne, the worthless emo spider! Z, the only character more dry than Akane’s vagina!”

“Oh that’s rich! Do you even have a boyfriend? Or the last time you had sex you were not even yourself? I think you are a little bit salty you are just not that relevant anymore”

Yamiko twirled, meeting Akane’s gaze with her hand to her cheek. “Oh, I have had PLENTY of sex since I got out of that midget’s body. But don’t worry, I will be back soon enough! I am always the highlight of these awards, and you all know it.” Yamiko said in a high, cutesy voice before winking toward the audience. She then looked at her last card. “Oh, and Yuu Arachne is also nominated. Otherwise known as 100 chihuahuas in a dress that only know how to disappoint people.”

“So, there you have it, the lowest of the low. And the award for the worst scum in the verse goes to: Yuu Arachne. Congratulations, apart from trying to steal my boyfriend and hosting Cadence’s roast, you also won this. Enjoy. ”

BEST FIGHT

After the hosts disappeared, there was a loud trumpet symphony that played a theme similar to a popular adventure movie, followed by a figure swinging in on a grappling hook and rolling off the floor, landing perfectly back on her feet. Elyssa adjusted her hair and looked confidently at the crowd wearing a long black dress that let her legs move freely. “Hi there! I’m Elyssa Miyata, and we’re going to present the best fight! But first, come on out, Yui!” She yelled toward the stage. Yui leaped into the stage as she did a superhero landing.

“OSU! Time to give the award for the most epic battle of this year! The nominees are: Love vs Elyssa, Mai vs Dan aaand Cadence vs Caroline! Ready to announce the winner Ely-san?”

“You bet I am! That fight with Love was soooooooooo fun! Sometimes I wondered if she was actually going full power there. But either way! The winner is Cadence vs Caroline! Cadence is sure coming up a lot in the awards, isn’t she?” Elyssa mused.

“Now if only she was here to enjoy them...she’s like a famous painter!”

“Right?! While we’re on the subject, who do you think would win in a fight? You or Ann if we took away her weapons?” Elyssa asked, eyes wide with anticipation.

“Well...not that I think extremely highly of myself but, aren’t you giving her too much of a handicap? Me of course, might as well tie up my arms behind my back!”- Yui replied as she made a guts pose.

“You heard it here, folks! Be sure to send your requests to Yui75@musashi.com! Byyyyyye!” Elyssa waved to the audience, having set up that fake email just to see if she’d get any responses afterwards.

CROWNING MOMENT OF AWESOME

As before, both hosts were teleported away. Almost immediately a thin girl with short black hair made her energetic entrance

“Hi hi hi!! It’s me, Osechi! Here to crown something awesome! This one goes to the most awesomest of the awesome! Oh right, there’s someone who is gonna join me in the crowning! Hurry up here!”

From the other side of the stage, a muscular girl that had an orange pony tail that went down to her waist flipped onto the stage, posing dramatically. “Hello, hello! It is I, Ash! Thank you all, for I am finally here!” She boasted, wearing her normal red and orange sports bra and miniskirt. She took a seat on her couch and looked over at Osechi. “Hey there! Ready to rock this category?!” Ash asked excitedly.

“LEEEET’S GOO!”!- She replied as she gave Ash a high five.

“The nominees for this category are: Cadence nearly killing Marika! Aaaaand, Sarah vs Anemone’s final clash! Wanna give the honors, my colorful partner?!”

Ash looked toward the audience with stars in her eyes. “Of course I will! Can’t believe Cadence actually did that. I wish I had been there, I’d have totally helped! But regardless, the winner is Sarah’s and Anemone’s clash! Maybe that’s my new calling, the way of the sword!” Ash looked at her arms, then shrugged. “Who am I kidding, I have all I need right here!”

CROWNING MOMENT OF FUNNY

The lights of the stage dimmed once more, washing the stage in a deep blue spotlight. A fast-paced pop beat then began to play, followed by a woman walking on stage and singing along to the catchy chorus. “Hi there Valstaaaaand! How’s everyone doing tonight?!” Casey asked, holding the mic up and letting the crowd yell into it. She motioned it back to herself.

“That’s amazing! Now, put your hands together for my co host! The lovely Musashi child, Kaguya!” She let the instrumental play while the child walked onto the stage.

“W-well what can you do? I guess you can keep clapping while I try to read this thing”-Kaguya said as she struggled to get the letter open, before she knew she had torn it into shreds, The Musashi kid looked back at Casey with misty eyes

“Caseeeeyyy, tell me you have a letter too!” She cried. Casey couldn’t help but smile, and produced her own envelope. “Of course I do! Here…” She dug her finger nail under the seal and flipped it open, handing the paper to Kaguya gently. “R-right”-She said as she cleared her throat

“The nominees are: Akane cracking up at “Farty”

! Aunt Akane?! O-of course not, she wouldn’t laugh at something distasteful like that...let’s see next one is…”

Instantly, Casey cut in. “Heeeeeeeey, I think I’ll finish this one up! Ahem, the next nominee is Z seeing Martha in the washroom. She was totally decent, don’t worry.” She tried to shield Kaguya from the actual wording; Z catching Martha in the shower. “And last nominee is the bottle game in general!” She declared. “Mind reading the winner please, Kaguya?” The idol asked.

“Oookay! The winner is...Akane cracking up at “Farty”, can someone tell me what is this about?! Hello??”

Casey was struggling to keep her professionalism. “Eheh...you can ask her yourself I’m sure. Or your mom. Thank you all so much for having us, everyone!” Casey waved to the others as they were teleported away.

BEST LINE

Walking into the stage wearing a set of leather armor, Nelle Auriga did a courteous bow Centris style.

“Greetings, I am here to present the award for the best line of the year, joining me on this endeavor, is a man who needs no introduction, one of the originals, Mes Renen!”

Sid casually strolled onto the stage, his suit shirt untucked and hair only slightly combed. He took his seat on the couch, nodding to Nelle. “Thanks, dude. I feel so old now. Huh, mes...you related to Sylvester out there?” Sid pointed his leg at the table Callis was sitting at.

“Sylves...That’s Master Nomene! Please refer to him by his name, Mes Renen!”- Nelle replied slightly bothered by his attitude.

Sid stared on, shrugging his shoulders. “I have pictures of him in a lion costume if you want to see later.” He chuckled to himself, getting the cards ready.

Nelle went immediately red after hearing that, the audacity!

“Just mention the nominees please!” She instructed forcefully. Sid nodded his head once more. “Whatever you say, dude. First we have...oh, this is a long one.” Sid cleared his throat as he began.

"Insults will have no effect! I am the proper height for a dwarf! Heights lead to bumped heads, bumped heads lead to stupidity! That is how humans came to be!” Sid stopped, reading the card again. “That’s from a dwarf in Santa Day. The next one is…”

"Congratulations, I think you broke Akane.” Sid looked at the name. “And that’s from Arthur in A Daring Tale. Kinda wish I was there, ya know? Seemed fun. You take that last one.” Sid said, leaning against the couch again.

Nelle did a speed read of the letter in her mind, then looked at Sid as she sighed.

“The next nominee: "There we go! You won't get me to put someone down that easily, Farty!" “Caroline in A Daring Tale. Are you happy now? The people from this world act like children!”

Nelle said as she tossed the envelope back at him. Sid snatched it out of the air. “I am happy, actually. And hey, I had to act like a dwarf! Anyway, the dwarf won. Thanks everyone.” He said, waving.

BEST RELATIONSHIP

From the left side of the arena, a short woman with pink hair styled neatly behind herself strolled on stage, wearing an immaculate blue dress with sparkly material stitched directly into the fibers, shining off the stage lights. “Hello! Like the scruffy man before me, I’m also one of the old people here. Haruko Miyata!” She declared.

“And with me tonight is another Musashi member. A man who is actually a customer of my mentor. Give it up for Gan Tengri!” She called into the mic.

Gan walked into the stage wearing a perfect black tie outfit, he shook hands with Haruko and moved to the envelope

“Thanks Haruko, I also like your designs very much! Now, together we will be presenting the best Relationship! The nominees for this category are: Arthur and Haruko...oh i didn’t know you two were…”

Haruko shook her head. “No, you see, this is for any relationship. Friends, family, lovers, whatever. If you see that little X there…” The seamstress pointed to a few names over. “...that means lovers!”

“Oh! My bad, not that there was anything wrong with it..um, moving on! The next nominee is...me and Jun. Well I guess everyone now knows of our private life, I swear I had nothing to do with this love.” He said as he looked at the table where Jun was sitting

“Now, Haruko, do you mind calling the winner?” Gan asked, Haruko flipping the card over without missing a beat. “Of course, thank you. The winner with an overwhelming margin is Gan and Jun! Congratulations to you both!” Haruko joined in the applause.

Gan scratched his head slightly confused while Akane cracked the glass of wine she was holding.

“Oh cry me a goddamn river”- Ann whispered to her ear.

BEST SHIP

“Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey!” A long, sensual voice echoed out from the side of the stage, a green-haired woman in a tight white dress almost gliding out onto the field. “I think you all know what time it is~. We just had the nice relationships, but what about things we fantasize about? People we might want to see...as a pair? Please join me, Hyun” Caroline said into the microphone.

Hyun flew into the stage, spinning like a ballerina as she reached the microphone

“I’M HEEEERE! Hi guys! Having fun?! Well here’s the nominees for the best ship!”- She said as she made a heart with her hands, the envelope opened by itself in front of her

“ANNND THE FIRST NOMINEE IS...eh? eh? Eh?? Um...Caroline, this is like the previous category right? F-friends and stuff! y-yes?”

The look in Caroline’s eyes was of pure joy, staring at the envelope. “I’m afraid not. Looks like everyone sees you as the most eligible bachelorette here, my dear.” Caroline coo’d, putting her head into her hands.

Hyun immediately went completely red as she re-read the envelope

“H-hey producer! What kind of aggressive marketing campaign have you been doing?! I haven’t even been in RP! A-anyway, the nominations are...Me and...Jen?! That’s a woman’s name!! And the next one is...me and A-ARTHUR?!!!” -Hyun gave the envelope back to Caroline as she ran to hide behind the couch.

Caroline tried her hardest not to laugh, but her smile was evident. “Aaaaaaw, that’s a cute one! If Arty Farty wasn’t taken, you two would be a lovely couple.” Caroline said, peering down at Hyun. “...you ok?” She asked with concern.

“Wait...what did you say again? You’re kidding right?”-Hyun’s lifeless eyes focused at Caroline

“Why would I be? He’s impulsive and adorable, and you’re cute and peppy! But like I said, taken. This is only fun ships, you know? None are real, dear.” Caroline tried to reassure.

“Yes...of course they aren’t, I mean it is obvious in retrospective...how wouldn’t he be taken...can I disappear now?”

Frowning slightly, Caroline reached down and grabbed Hyun under the armpits and hoisted her up over the couch, setting her onto her lap and wrapping the esper in a hug. “Nope! We have a show to do!” The doll chirped, squeezing her captive.

“Let’s see...other nominations. Z x Martha! Old beauty and the beast, classic trope. And the final category is...Ash x Mirrors! For what is more perfect than perfection, than a reflection of it?” Caroline asked, looking down at Hyun.

Hyun chuckled but hid her face

“S-shut up, I don’t wanna laugh right now.” Hyun grumbled.

Undeterred, Caroline moved her fingers to Hyun’s sides and began to tickle them. “How about now?” She asked, eyes narrowing.

“Pfff stoooop!!!”-Hyun replied amidst uncontrollable laughter

“Alright alright I get it! Just give me the trophy for the best imaginary relation, at least I get that, right?”

Caroline read the card carefully, and smiled. “Looks like you get not one, but two trophies! You and Arty and you and Jen won! I wonder what that means to our overlords at home…” Caroline mused, looking at the audience.

“W-well, as long as I win in everyone’s hearts...can’t be too mad at that can I?! I’m counting on your future support, everyone!!”-She said as she finally faced the crowd, her face still red from crying and not letting go of Caroline either.

“See, you’re the star of the show and you haven’t even been in a RP yet. Don’t ever doubt that you’re cute!” Caroline said, standing up with Hyun still in her arms and waving to the crowd. “Thank you, I hope to see you all soon! I’m taking my own trophy off the stage.” Caroline joked, walking behind the curtain, beginning to tell Hyun of a great Thai place she knows in town and offering to take them there for lunch.

BEST STORY THREAD

The lights of the stage changed yet again, making his way to it, a massively tall man wearing sunglasses appeared. Without saying much, he adjusted the microphone, only to notice it was still too short, he ripped it out of the stand and began

“Now...it’s time to present...dude are you coming or not?”-He said as he looked back on stage.

On cue, a small teenager jumped out from behind the stage and floated down to the ground below, his long blue robed floating behind majestically. The boy looked positively tiny compared to the titan of a man before him. “Hi, everyone! You may not know me yet, but I’m the cloud prince Philip! I hope to get to know you all someday!” He said, waving to the crowd and gliding onto his couch. He couldn’t help but stare up at the tower of Torres before him.

“Right...I should present myself. Salvador Torres. Now, what we came for. Award for the best story. The nominees…”

Torres opened the envelope by rubbing it in between his index finger and his thumb, then proceeded to put the comparatively miniature letter just an inch from his face.

“Welcome Back, Fist vs Fist and Over the Mountain...Philip, present the winner.”

Philip jumped at the chance, standing up proudly. “And the winner is Welcome Back! I wonder if any of those...what do they call them, Ruins? I wonder if any of those are in my cloud kingdom...ever seen one of those in the border region, mr. Torres?” Philip asked.

“Just a handful of times, every now and then critters like to go out and that’s where the fun begins”

“Whoa…” Philip stared in awe. “Well, thank you for joining us! And remember, if you would like to visit our kingdom, we are doing a special holiday bundle starting June 1! Bye bye!” On cue, both men were teleported out of the theater.

BEST SHORT STORY

From behind the curtain, a woman with green hair and a long, puffy white dress walked onto the stage and tossed herself onto the couch, lazily staring out at the crowd. “...what...none of this is canon...you heard my name...Cadence…” Cadence stated dryly. “...best short story...come on out…” She waved at the edge of the curtain from her position.

“I’m going...chill.” -Soon replied as she floated into stage, taking a seat as she crossed her legs. The esper looked at Cadence for a while

“Aren’t you looking a bit...pasty? Do you want some sunlight?”-She said as she created a miniature light ball and made it float just above her. The sunlight did give Cadence some energy back.

“...thank you...you don’t get much sunlight in the grave…” Cadence muttered, sitting up finally. “...your name is…?”

“Hyo-Soon...just call me Soon. Now, no offense, you are kinda creeping me out a bit, mind if we just get this over with? I left my kid with my wife and...yeah, I am not sure either is gonna be ok”

Cadence stared at Soon for a few seconds, thinking of her response. “...interesting family...dynamic...but that’s acceptable…”

“Thanks for accepting my gayness I guess... I will accept your deadness in return?”

“...Soon...my sisters are a hermaphrodite who is into anyone...a bisexual girl...a narcissit who is in love with herself...and a...what do they call them...Fuzzy…? Gay is normal for me…” Cadence replied.

“Not suuure about the whole fuzzy thing but, hooray for variety I guess.”

Cadence opened the notecard, beginning to read the nominations.

“The nominations...A Daring Tale and One Giant Leap...weren’t you in that first one…?” Cadence asked, looking up.

“Wait how do you...wait, you know what? Whatever, yes I was, that’s the time Mai proposed to me, do I win some prize money with this or...?”

Cadence shrugged her shoulders, putting her pipe to her lips. “...ask the committee...interesting proposal photo, by the way…” She gave a sidelong glance.

“I know, She’s just SO romantic, I don’t know how we didn’t win the best relationship award”-Soon told Cadence in a sarcastic tone.

“Was more talking about that hat you had...but regardless...winner is A Daring Tale…not the cute proposal...” Cadence waved lazily at the crowd.

“Of course that won, anything me and Mai are in is good”

BEST WRITER

In a flash of light, Soon and Cadence were gone, lights went red and rock music played as Royton made his way to the stage, waving and pointing at people in the crowd

“Sup losers! I’m gonna be handing over the nerd award! I mean, best writer award! With me, a sexy blonde with a smoking hot body, you can come out babe!”

From behind the curtain, a blond-haired woman wearing a long blue dress came out, eyes clearly having bags under them. She glared at the man who had introduced her, stepping up to the mic.

“Hello...I am Aria Miyata, President of the HWIC. I apologize if I seem off, this pandemic has been hellish on our workflow.” She stated as professionally as possible, sinking into the couch. “...you didn’t introduce yourself.” She commented.

“That’s cause I need no introduction babe, but for all the women who want my name and number, it’s Benjamin Royton...yikes, seems like the HWIC has seen better days am i right guys? -He said as he pointed at Aria with his thumb

“Maybe I can get her to break the social distancing after this...jokes aside!, you wanna present the nominees?”

Aria rolled her eyes at the man. “You try dealing with an army of gnolls that only come out at night, and directing a response. But yes, I will do that. The nominees are: Hungry Hunter, Vapo and Othus. Three fine choices. You can announce the winner, Austin.” Aria commented.

“Well, if you stick with me, gnolls won’t be the only ones coming tonight”-Royton winked at the audience as he read the envelope

“And the winner is...Hungry Hunter! Congrats you loser! Now where is the exit?!”

Aria stared on, rolling her eyes once more. “Powers, the exit is right behind us. Or right here.” The HWIC President snapped her fingers, sending them off into the blue light.

BEST PLAYER

Stepping out from the middle of the curtain this time, Ashlea confidently strolled across the stage in her intricate red dress with black and gold patterning. She twirled when she got to the edge, grabbing the microphone.

“Heeeeeeeeeeeey! Ashlea Primrose here, and we’re here to present the best player award now! I actually know who my partner is this time, so come on out Ann!” Ashlea called out, joining the audience in clapping.

Ann tapped her feet excitedly and lifted her arms up as she saw Ashlea

“AAASHLEAAA!!”-she said as she went running to hug her

“Missed you lots! Ready to present the nominees for best player?!” Ann asked excitedly, Ashlea reciprocating the hug. “Of course I am! We are SO going to town after this! I have some places I want to show you!” Looking toward the audience, Ashlea cleared her throat.

“Ahem, the nominees are: Othus, HungryHunter and Cwolf. Wolf...you ever fight a werewolf, Ann?” Ashlea asked the girl next to her.

“Nope! Just an ugly share of demons and undead. Any idea of what the award is about?! Cause, i mean, I hear player and I get a tiny bit competitive”

Ashlea couldn’t help but laugh at Ann. “Not sure that’s the right kind of player, Ann. I asked the committee about this, and they just kinda said some nonsense about the illusion of free will and fickle gods. What do they think this is, Greek mythology? Honestly.”

“Riiight...well, if it’s not the type of player I’m thinking of, and probably not the other bad type of player...I guess I will just announce it! The winner is...Othus! Wait, that was my first gamertag, what is going on?”

Ashlea cocked her head at Ann’s observation. “Your gamertag? Guess it’s a more common name than you thought. But thanks for having us, everyone! Now, about that shoe store I was telling you about…” Ashlea began talking to Ann in a lower voice as they both walked off the stage.

VICER OF THE YEAR

Reaching the last award of the night, big band music played at the background, a blonde young man showed up waving at everyone

“Hi everyone! It’s been a long night but we are finally at our last award, my name is Armand, and I will be co hosting with:”- Armand made a signal and waited for the co host to appear.

From above the other couch, a blue flash of light sent Erin back on stage, ungracefully tumbling onto the couch below. She quickly picked herself up and dusted herself off. “I-I guess I’m back...hi? Oh, last award.” Erin looked over to see Armand, giving him an awkward wave.

Armand quickly moved towards her, asking genuinely

“Are you ok? That was not a very good teleport...anything hurts?”

Erin’s face immediately went red, looking down toward his legs, then to the right when she remembered that’s also an awkward place to stare into space. “Uuuuh...I-I’m fine! This uh...happens a lot. I am heh, durable! Right, yeah…” Erin started messing with her hair out of anxiety.

Armand gently smiled at her remark

“Well, alright, let’s not test that durability any further, shall we? May I sit here? Just so we don’t have to move again”-Armand asked Erin

“Er, sure! Yeah, not having to move again. Practical. Right. I like that. Prrrrractical...radical.” Erin’s face went red again at her lame joke, wordlessly holding out the nomination card for him.

Armand giggled, clearly she was extremely nervous

“You’re funny you know! Here, I’ll help you with that”- He said as he held her hand and opened the letter.

“Do you wanna read it, or should I do it?”-He asked her with a reassuring smile.

The smile calmed her nerves a little, but now he was touching her hand! Erin could practically feel steam coming out her ears, she felt her face so hot.

“Erm, you can do the nominations! I’ll uh, say the winner!” Erin declared, eyes dropping to the bottom of the letter.

“Sounds like a plan! Let’s do this!”- Armand said as he reached for the mic.

“The nominees for Vicer of the Year Award are: Vapo, Cwolf and Othus”

As soon as he finished mentioning them, he handed over the mic to Erin, giving her some space to read calmly

“You got this”-He told her in a lower voice so only she would hear.

With renewed confidence, Erin held up the envelope in front of her face, making sure to read the winner 4 times so she wouldn’t say the wrong one. “The winner...of the Vicer of the Year award...goes to...Vapovile! Hey, that’s my creator! Wonder how much of a factor I played in that…” Erin mused, remembering the response she got after the Christmas mission.

“Hey congrats! I’m sure your creator is both lucky and happy to have you on the team”

“T-thank you! T-that’s our show everyone! Thank you all for coming! Hopefully next time, we will have a whole new batch of hosts! D-do you have anything to say before we sign off?” Erin asked Armand, tilting her head.

“Sure! Wanna grab some coffee?”- He told her with a big smile.

Erin was taken completely off guard, nearly falling over on the couch in surprise. “Wha...you...I mean, sure. I don’t really know the area, but uh...that’s fine, we’ll um, figure it out!” Erin was practically light headed at this point. Why was ANOTHER extremely hot person taking an interest in her?!

Armand held her hand and both teleported out in a glimpse of light. A track from Casey’s newest album began to play over the speakers as the audience began to file out of the room, the princess of Valstand sitting in the box seats clapping with her family. “Well, that was a wonderful show.” Audrey commented, continuing to clap politely.
