Akiyama Kasumi- Icepunk

Appearance:


Kasumi is short and slender, nicknamed “twig” by her friend Erin. In recent years, she has put on some muscle and gained a bit of figure, but still remains rather thin. Facially, she has large, dark eyes with surprisingly thick eyebrows, pointed at both ends. Normally, she is pale, but she can tan when exposed to enough sunlight. Her black hair is particularly spiky, with a distinct "horn" directly atop her head. The pinky on her right hand is silvery and mechanical, a replacement after the real one was cut off and lost. She also has a large scar on her right shoulder, where she was cut by her father in training as a child.

While before she only wore her semi-formal school wear and sports gear, Kasumi now experiments with punk fashion, with spikes and dark colors common in her wardrobe. Atop that she sometimes wears jerseys for sports she follows. She has looked into tattoos and piercings, although she hasn’t committed the money to getting such permanent marks yet.

Personality:


Kasumi is, first and foremost, a rebel. She wants to mark herself out as her own person, and has little interest in tradition. She is a physical person, enjoying training, sports, and to an extent, fighting (and dancing, something she has only recently had any chance to do). A tomboy to the core, Kasumi is always ready to get dirty, climb trees, and get bruised if she has to.

Still young, she idolizes her older friends to an extent, and they do their best to guide her through life, keeping her naivete from hurting her as she finds her way in life.

Powers and abilities:

Ice Magic- Kasumi’s focus at Gateway was the element of ice, and while she was always better physically, she isn’t a slouch at using it. Kasumi can create sheer cold or make structures and objects of ice.

Swordswoman- Kasumi is well-trained in Japanese swordsmanship, having it brutally drilled into her as a child. However, after breaking away from her family, she has switched her style. Inspired by her friend Amelia, she now uses a European saber, which handles similarly, but only relies on one hand, leaving the other open for her other skill.

Judo- Kasumi is also well-versed in judo, with some MMA skills she picked up from her friend Emma thrown in. She keeps one hand free for the purpose of grappling and throwing her enemies.

Summons- Kasumi has two different summons, each of which grants her a different buff. Hibagon is a large apelike creature that grants her increased physical strength, swelling her muscles past their normal mass. Kasumi goes from being stronger than the average mage to powerful enough to physically wrestle with ogres. Gizaru is a silvery pyramid-shaped animal with a single eye and empowers Kasumi’s ice magics. Her hair and any dark clothing she is wearing turn white, and she commands the power of cold on a much greater scale. If somebody is nearby, she can cause Hibagon or Gizaru’s magic to effect them instead, although either can only effect one person at a time. Summoning either comes at a great cost in mana, so she can’t keep either of these buffs up for very long.

Weakness:

Mana- Kasumi relies on a supply of mana to cast spells and keep her abilities superhuman. If she runs out, she is little more than a human with a sword. Her most powerful abilities cost her immensely, and must be carefully rationed.
