Personality
Edward is a fiercely dedicated warrior of good, steadfast and resilient. As he says “I was a paladin in life, but I am a true paladin in death”. Long ago, he was a monster hunter, a vampire slayer in particular, a harsh hardliner against all supernatural beings. A cruel vampire count captured him and after a period of torture, transformed him with the intent of breaking him. Instead, it expanded his horizons. Edward will never judge a being for what it is, merely what it does.
Appearance
Edward is a towering man with greyed skin and eyes that range from green to yellow depending on the light. He has long given up on not standing out, and so only goes out when on Hidden World business. As such, he usually wears his black armor, ornate and well-kept. His black hair grows out to his waist, and he prefers to wear it loose, although when attending a formal event, he will braid it.
Powers and Abilities
As a vampire, Edward has several innate abilities and weaknesses. In addition to being stronger and faster than any regular human, he can hover a short distance and heal nearly any wound by feeding on blood. Countering this is his weakness to the light of the sun and need for fresh blood to survive. In addition to these natural vampiric powers, however, he also has a variety of his own powers derived from his faith.
Blood of the Martyr - A healing ability, changed from its original form by his vampiric conversion. Edward uses his own stores of blood to grand vampiric regeneration to an ally.
Holy Will - Edward is resistant to mind-altering magics and even chemicals, and nearly invulnerable to fear.
Divine Wrath - Edward can channel holy energy into an aura around himself, allowing him to cause holy damage with his attacks, especially effective against creatures like demons. This aura can also be granted to an ally.
Armor of God - A different aura that Edward can create, increasing defense rather than his attack capabilities. Much like divine wrath, Edward can summon this glowing armor on anybody. He can only have one aura up at once.
Equipment
Curseeater Greatsword - A great ebony blade that absorbs harmful magics. Edward often uses this sword as a shield against mages, where it draws incoming magic like a magnet. It also can absorb minor curses from afflicted individuals
