Personality
Maya is a quiet yet ambitious girl, appearing quiet to strangers yet becoming a chatterbox with people she trusts. One of her favorite things to do is reading what a person is into and making them talk about it in detail, surprised she knew. She also likes to set up little pranks that are only realized a while later by their recipients.
Appearance
Maya’s typical outfit consists of a white button-up shirt with a black coat over it, with a mono color tie. On her lower half she wears a black skirt and black boots with purple detailing. Her skin is pale, mostly due to the UK’s rainy climate.
Powers and Abilities
Precognition - Maya can see a few seconds into the future normally, and up to a few minutes if she concentrates on specific details. However, doing this too often puts a strain on her mind.
Mind Reading - She can delve into the mind of people around her and see specific parts of their memories. However, as is the nature with memories, she can’t tell if certain memories happened or not. She must also be near the target.
Object History - If Maya focuses on a specific object, she can begin to see the object’s history and track its various locations in her mind. She mainly uses this to determine where objects found at a crime scene came from.
Martial Arts - While Maya isn’t a lifelong veteran, she has begun learning some MMA fighting and the basics of pressure point combat.
The Truth - Maya’s powers are seemingly nonexistent at first, but it all lies in her hidden ability she calls The Truth. The more she learns about someone, the more her body learns how to respond to the threat. Her speed and strength increase as she learns more, her body instinctively responds to attacks she’s seen or read in their mind, and is better able to read their next moves with her precognition. It is for this reason she likes to hang around her targets at first, maybe talk to them to learn as much as she can should a fight arise. The main limitation of The Truth is that the powers only work against the people or creatures she’s learned about.
Equipment
The Bouncer - A special HW revolver that Maya carries with her that has specialized bullets inside. The bullets have the ability to bounce across several surfaces, allowing Maya to use her precognition to fire a few shots that appear to miss... but come back seconds later.
Smoke Bombs - As the name implies, she carries little pellets that fill the area with smoke if she needs to make a quick escape.
Shock Pistol - A large black semi auto pistol that fires shock bullets at various intensities, depending on how she sets it. The more energy she uses in a shot, the more it depletes the battery inside and will need to be reloaded.
