Leor could only count the minutes before they left this place, to say he wasn't thrilled to be there was an understatement. One look at the pile of flesh almost made him want to rip his own eyes. disgusting.
"I don't want to be here"- He thought out loud, despite him always keeping his thoughts to himself, he had no idea the way a lich conducted her everyday life could be so gruesome
in the end, Leor took a seat and closed his eyes in a poor attempt to compose himself. surely they wouldn't linger here for long?

Me neither... - Ela said to the poreal, as she as well stand back... The view was gruesome for her, it went against everything she believed in...
Of course... maybe magic involving death couldn't always be... negative? evil? Like what angels of Destruction did... But the sight of it made angels look a lot nicer, and they... they are dicks. In a certain way she wasn't wrong so far... the lich was caring for her grandchild, of course, if it wasn't by Cherry and they accidentaly met her of course the lich would have made use of them for research. Once they were inside Elatha could notice in fact how dedicated the elder was, it was admirable, a part of her recognized that despite such potential could be used in other fields... However, Melin's question caught her attention, to formulate a one of her own. Talking about souls... Ehrm... Could there be a way to separate two souls from a true vessel without hurting the main host? - She wasn't sure how to formulate the question without having to tell all of her current problems...

“You’re playing with the dead, boy. That’s necromancy.” The old lich waved away his correction. “Oh yes, mastery of the soul is hugely important for the creation of all free-willed undead, especially a lich. If I failed to properly translocate my soul from my body to its new vessel, it could have ended up anywhere. I had an old rival who mucked up his ritual and ended up in a tube worm at the bottom of the ocean.”
Onyx stayed towards the back of the small room, observing his team. Most of them seemed to be doing alright, but Leor was clearly miserable. Onyx couldn’t blame him. This place was disturbing at best. He didn’t like being in the lair of somebody who could likely rip out his soul in an instant. “We won’t be here long. Right, Cherry?” Onyx glanced from Leor to Cherry. “But I-okay, uh, no tea, granny. My friends and I are in a little bit of a hurry.” She relayed the message.
“Oh, I understand. That elemental will be making a real mess of things before long. Still, it seems I can help you.” Evita approached her desk to lift some papers. “I will lend all of you something. I expect most of it back one day, but I can be very patient. Get them back within a few decades and I'll be fine.” First she turned to Melin, handing him the papers she picked up. “These are some of my notes about the workings of the soul. I think you would find them interesting.” To Elatha, she handed a book off her shelf. It had a worn leather cover, an embossed image showing a demonic soul leaving an old man’s body. “Morgan’s Book of Exorcisms. This should have means of dealing with any possession you are struggling with. I cannot guarantee they will be within your means, but I hope this book helps you.” She grumbled something while handling Cherry a few sheets with cut-out sections and a can of spray paint.
“I still think this is sloppy, but I got you the stencils for more complicated runes.” “Aw, thanks granny Evita! Just what I asked for!” Cherry gleefully stuffed the stencils into her bag. “I admit I do not know what would benefit you, blue dwarf.” Evita grumbled, stroking her chin as she studied Lom. “I don’t need anything! I can already fly and I’ve got a sword!” Lom happily displayed the wings, wobbling precariously in the tight space. “Don’t fly in here. Here, with your mobility, you can use these best.” Evita handled her a few flasks made of smokey green glass. “Not quite healing, but they make death… difficult for about 5 minutes. Drink them if you are grievously injured and it can give you time to recover.”
At last, her cold, glowing gaze fell upon Onyx. “To you, all I can offer is information. There is another immortal down here, and I have good reason to believe that this current disaster is his doing. He is a dwarf, or was. I don’t know what means he used, but he has a body of stone. Either he transformed his flesh or transferred his soul, but either way, he is quite ancient. Given what I do not know, I have no knowledge of what it will take to put him to rest. Perhaps you cannot.” She shrugged, rolling her shoulders in ways that flesh would not allow. “To the last of you, my only gift can be quickening your exit from my home. Pass through my cellar, you will bypass the maze and put yourself on a direct path to the Sunken Palace.” Evita rapped the floor with her foot and a nearly invisible trapdoor swung open, pushed by a skeletal arm. Stairs led down into musty darkness.
“Thank you for everything. I apologize that we cannot keep you company, but I promise that I will personally return if I survive this trip. Farewell.” Onyx waved and stepped down into the cellar. He could see perfectly well, but it would be a second before their members with light entered to make it visible for the humans. It wasn’t particularly pleasant at first. It was a combination morgue and pantry, bodies lying alongside sealed cans of tea. The shelves stopped appearing with an odd chilling feeling, likely some hidden defense system to keep animals out of the cellar. The floor grew rougher here, not flattened out by human purpose. It seemed to go on forever, with only a few forks where Cherry quickly translated her grandmother’s signs to pick the right away.
It was nearly an hour before they emerged. Onyx blinked a few times, realizing that he was seeing natural light for the first time since this morning. They were in a vast open space, potentially bigger than even the cavern where Lom’s village lay. Hundreds of feet below them, there was a sort of plateau, taking up most of the open space and providing the only smooth ground in the cavern. At the back of the plateau was a massive fissure, glowing with naked lava, casting the whole room in sunset light. It was that light that let Onyx grasp the true nature of the plateau below. It was actually a building, a palace of immeasurable proportions. Multi-floored, with spires he misread as mere juts of rock. And it was ruined. Most spires were lying flat, cracks running along every inch of the sapphire roof. The worst damage was a cavern carved right through the middle, leading from the lava and past the group.
It was with a dropping heart that Onyx turned his head. There was a tunnel behind them, large enough to accommodate a jumbo jet flying through without issue. From the rubble around it, the tunnel was fresh. That was confirmed by what lurked at the end, clawing desperately at the stone. It was surprisingly slim for how massive it was. Its yellowed flesh was stretched paper-thin over bony limbs, only two thin toes sticking from each foot. Its tree arms were similarly lightly adorned with digits, but at its touch, the rock glowed and softened. There was a yellow powder shaking off the creature with each movement, softly glowing as it floated to the ground.
“That’s the elemental.” He grumbled, turning to look back at the lava. There was some sort of stone structure built on the edge, waves pushing out across the cavern. “And that must be what drew it to the surface. I think… I think it’s trying to escape.” He remarked. “I think we need to break that device if we have any hope of returning that elemental to the core. If you have any preparations to make before going in, make them now. I say we try to skip over as much of that palace as we can. Who knows how many of those soldiers are in there. Can those who can fly carry everybody who can’t?”

"Maybe...I could detonate crystals to damage the device"- Leor said as he readied his blade, when he had surrounded onyx with them, the Poreal never armed the crystals, making ardure crystals explode was obviously lethal, so he would never resort to that. He looked at Cherry for a moment, a slight smile on his face appeared despite the pressure of the inevitable battle at hand.
"Would you like my help to get there?"- He told her happily.
Breaking the device was the first thing that needed to be done, flying straight to the target was probably the best way to approach the situation, but surely others had some sort of insight that was hidden to him. Leor would wait until everyone was ready, if they needed his help, he would aid them as well, the elemental seemed not to be evil in nature, so it was also important to help it in whatever way he could!

Ah... Thank you - Elatha said when she received the book, she held it tight against her chest. She hoped once she got back to read it and check for a solution to save her son, Gallerian would have to read it as well to make sure she wasn't going to do anything harsh.
As they walked on the "path" she first teleported the book to the apartment with a small movement of her hands, it was better to keep it safe if she wanted to use it and then return it later, she wondered what did Lichs ate? Seems the granny was fine drinking tea but what about solids? Maybe she could try making some homemade tea as thanks? It was the least thing she could give as the Queen was extremely sure that she didn't want to bring a dead corpse to be used.
Huh - Elatha said as she payed attention, first to Onyx and then to Leor - Pentagrams should help have some higher ground and protect us as well...

"This was certainly a worthwhile visit. Thank you" Melin said, leafing through the pages he was given before storing them in his bag. Once they descended into the dark cellar, he ate one of the white berries Lom had given everyone before to follow Onyx more easily.
An hour later they finally reached a ginormous cavern illuminated by a pit of lava. And there they could see their query. The elemental was large and yellow and dug through the ground like a spoon through pudding. The earth barely resisted its clawing. It didn't seem like they were down to minutes, but it would certainly be done within the day. The group had to turn their focus on the machine scaring it out of its lair, and they had to do it fast.
"Explosions should do nicely, Mr. Leor. But first we need to get there. Considering our prior clashes with their forces, it's likely our enemy is ready for us. It's probable they have anti-air weaponry, possibly hidden behind or even within the rocks we can see, not to mention their flying units. While we're being flown over, we should spread out to make ourselves harder targets. Leor is our main damage dealer this time so we should protect him at all cost."

“Melin is right that the air is risky.” Onyx looked up, spotting distant figures in the air. More goblins riding pterosaurs? He couldn’t tell from up here. “Still, I can’t imagine that the palace is any easier to get through.” He mumbled. “I can send my troops down there. Create a diversion.” Cherry said. “With a little backup from me and Sherry, they can keep up a fight for a long time. It’s not like any of them could fly with us.” Onyx considered it. He wasn’t sure about letting her go alone. Well, not literally alone. She’d have her undead. But none of them seemed to exactly be people, besides maybe the tiny skeleton. She was right though, her undead were most effective with her directing them.
“Melin’s summons can’t fly either. Melin, are you alright helping Cherry out? Just provide a distraction. Actually… new plan. Everybody is heading to the palace. Make as much ruckus as you can. Leor, you take me with you to the machine.” Onyx decided. “Are you sure about that?” Lom asked. “Not entirely, no. But I think it’s the best option for a few reasons. For one, we will draw less attention. For another, we have the highest destructive abilities between us and I can fight a group if it’s guarded.” He turned to Leor. “And I promise, if I can, I won’t kill anybody there. Okay?” He offered. “Let’s fly.”

Leor listened to Onyx and finally smiled at him, whether he really was gonna fulfill his promise or not, he trusted him.
"I'll help with that, let us go"- He replied, sheathing his blade while getting ready to take Onyx to the machine.
The Poreal waited for Cherry and Melin to go first in order to meet whatever resistance that lied ahead, following that, he would hopefully be able to fly past them uncontested.

"Good plan," Melin said. Cutter would surely enjoy going on a rampage. And perhaps Melin could see what powers the magical dagger would give him. "We'll proceed toward the palace. When those flyers come to us, that should be your window to fly over."
Proceeding toward the palace, Melin did as he planned. Cutter was more than ready to have some fun cutting down the guards. As for the dagger, he wasn't sure who to use exactly. He could try the new goblin, he would surely resonate well with the goblin artifact, but until he fully binds him to his control it was better not to risk his loyalty. He ended up using the businessman soul that produced Bowie, creating a man dressed in tattered shamanic robes with a skull helmet. And of course, he summoned Spears.
"Cutter, Spears, you charge the gate guards. You, uh... Shammy, you seem like the sneaky sort. See if you can sneak inside ahead of the rest of us and produce a distraction."

I can take down plenty of soldiers! I'm a paladin after all! - The Queen said with great pride over her own abilities, of course she wasn't fully recovered but her stubborness was stronger that the pain in her body. She summoned two swords for each hand ready to smash guards and anyone that stood on her way. The first thing she did was to pay attention to her surroundings, check out for any weak points on her team so she could fill them with pentagrams when the attacks began, the most important thing was to clear the path for Onyx and Leor - Let's kick some asses!

“Stay safe, and keep a lookout ready. As soon as the marker goes down, I want you to retreat. We will try to come back as soon as we can.” Onyx called as Leor took off. “I will keep high to be air support and watch for you! Come back safely!” Lom called after him. “I’m already promising to try not to kill anybody, don’t force me to promise that too.” Onyx grumbled through his beard. He was quiet for a bit as they flew, only speaking when they were well into the sky. “I just want you to know that if it comes down to it, I am willing to take a life here to prevent all those above from being lost. You don’t have to agree, or like it. I simply want you to be aware that although I will do my best, I do not hold to your code, but to mine. Or to a king's, I suppose. A leader does not have the luxury of pretending all lives are equal in his eyes. I understand that now.”
The diversion team moved down the slope, Cherry’s zombies leading. Their shields and armored bodies provided good cover for those behind, although their height left something to be desired. There were plenty of tracks and traces of travelling troops on the natural ramp, but no soldiers were present until they reached the palace. Here too they seemed undermanned. This didn’t seem to be the main entrance, not originally anyway. There wasn’t a door here at all, just an impressive balcony with a makeshift wooden ramp leading up to it. The balcony was only guarded by two soldiers, immediately raising up a warning cry when they saw the approaching group. It wasn’t halfway out of their throats before the ghast and Sherry landed amongst them.
They had not yet registered this before they were both in two pieces, widely scattered. “Sherry, please don’t stand next to Barry, he’ll melt your bones. Stay back here with the zombies.” Chery called and the tiny skeleton sprang back. More dwarves were appearing on the balcony, but they were dying as soon as they appeared, torn apart by the vicious ghoul and driven back by the corrosive aura around it. “Barry can keep that doorway open for anybody who wants to go in, but don’t stay by him too long. He’s just as acid to all of you.” Cherry informed the others just before a bolt as long as her arm tore through her shoulder. With a scream, she dropped to the ground, huddling behind one of the dwarven zombies. Soon, piercing bolts were raining down on the squad, spawned from a Gatling ballista peeking out of one of the windows above the balcony. Sherry became a whirling storm of blades, preventing any from reaching Cherry’s shelter, but she couldn’t stop all of them even if she thought to defend the others.

Leor couldn't help but think Onyx was a weird individual, somehow he kept clashing his own moral code against the Poreal's for some reason. Leor sighed and replied to the Dwarf.
"I...do not hold others to my code, Lord Drakenskal, to ask that much of others would be unreasonable."-Leor replied, he perfectly knew the way he acted caused problems to others, his own sister had become a victim of his actions, but that only strenghtened his resolve. If he killed someone now, his sister would have died for nothing.
"You say you are ready to take a life to save the ones above. That is perfectly fine my Lord, let's do our best so the one life you have to sacrifice is mine alone"
Leor stayed quiet for a few seconds and something came to his mind
"Oh, I almost forgot. If I do lose my life here, please take my gear. My body is worthless, but this sword and armor are very important for our kind...give it to someone you think is worthy, much more so than I"
Leor finally flew into action as soon as the diversion team began to engage with the enemy.
"Looks like the fight has begun, where to now?!"- He said as he awaited for Onyx's instructions.

Elatha really wanted to kick Onyx but the damn dwarf had the good luck of being gone before she could kick that barrel body of his and pull that stupid beard off! She was ultimately pissed about that, so the only thing she could do by the moment was to make sure everything went smoothly so she could have a few words with the two of them. Onyx needed to stop being such an asshole, he even sounded worse when he wasn't trying to be one and Leor by the other hand needed to be taught several things such as his worth, and what amount of physical contact was valid between certain people.
Oh crap! - The Queen said throwing one of her blades against the location to where the arrows came from, making it explode in blue fire. She immediatly summoned thre pentagrams to protect her allies - COME BACK HERE YOU LITTLE GIRL! - She shouted at Sherry hoping she obeyed before she loosed some bones.
Hey, necro-girl, you need some healing? - She offered, trying to make sure to have the enough amount of time before the pentagrams were destroyed. Turning her head towards Melin she asked for his help - Try to cover me while I heal her, I don't think dressy-bones can endure all that alone!

Cutter charged ahead right behind the zombies, but her charge was cut short when ballista bolts started raining on top of them. If it was a single one, she'd have still charged ahead. But even she had a self-preservation instinct. She backed away, trying to block bolts with her sword, but a few still managed to graze her before Spears deployed her shield to protect her. The bolts stuck into the shield, but didn't go all the way through and that's what mattered.
"Fucking pieces of shit," Cutter cursed. "I wanna gut them now."
"Calm. You'll have your chance." Melin instructed. "Shammy seems to be doing whatever it is he can do. Pull back so Spears can protect Elatha."
The two did as they were ordered, placing themselves in front of Cherry and the queen in case the bolts came for them. In the meantime, Shammy had entered the building. Melin had assumed he was the sneaky sort because he was using a dagger, the standard sneak-thief's weapon. But what the weapon offered the soul had a different sort of utility. He used the distraction Barry had caused to sneak in under the ramp until he could touch the wall. While the healer's dagger could take life from one person and pass it on to another, Shammy used a similar principle to switch the qualities from something he was touching to something else. In this case, he transferred the hardness of the wall to the air, making passing through the wall as easy as walking regularly, while the air next to him turned stiff and immobile.
Once inside, Shammy would look for a way up toward the gatling ballista and for a way to disable the machine, whether that meant killing its operator while there was no one else around or by some other more convenient means.

“If you die saving this mountain, you have earned a hero’s burial. I won’t leave you here.” Onyx promised. He pointed to the edge of the lava flow, where something shaped like a tuning fork loomed. They flew over the broad palace roof, shining blue tiles below seeming to ripple like an ocean. It was unfathomable. What was this place? Was it created by the dwarf leading these soldiers? Or did he merely adopt it as his home base? He didn’t field these questions to Leor. He wouldn’t have any input. Things like that just didn’t seem to register with the strange kid. Beasts flew in the distance, but they headed towards the entrance, not Leor. Within a few minutes, they passed the horizon formed by the palace and got a look at where they were heading.
The tuning fork was stranger up close, and bigger than one would expect. It was vast enough to nearly rival the elemental itself, a towering structure not steel or stone, like a massive antler planted into the ground. Pale and haunting, it did not fit the rugged, blasted landscape it stood in, a mere dozen feet or so from the edge of the rift. It was defended. Onyx could only spot a few armored troops and cannons before a hideous scream drew his attention. It wasn’t merely sound. It was like a drill piercing his skull, penetrating right into his brain. It ground away at his sense of balance, his thoughts, and no doubt it was doing the same to Leor. He turned to see the source and his stomach turned. The hobgoblin chief from before rode atop what seemed to be a massive humanoid head, although only superficially.
Ears were turned into humming, fluttering insect wings to keep it aloft. The hair he clung to was wild and bristly, black streaked through with white. Its mouth was mostly teeth, overgrown things barely kept contained in its mouth, each shoving at those around it, mouth barely able to open without touching their tips. Worst of all, the face above those teeth was almost human. Pink and wrinkled, but with a human nose and tiny human eyes, squinting out more in confusion and pain than anger. “You’ve made this job more pain than it’s worth! Good work on that, but it’s over now!” The goblin couched a lance, aimed directly for Leor’s spine.
Sherry didn’t listen to Elatha. She barely even acted like she heard her, continuing to dance at the front, keeping the back ranks safe from the bolts. A few slipped past her, but most of them stuck into dwarven zombies, doing little damage as they shambled forwards. “I can’t feel it…” Cherry mumbled, clearly in shock. Her arm was attached, but it hung with a limpness that a working arm didn’t have, and blood was soaking more of her long sleeve and spreading onto her chest. Her zombies stopped up against Elatha’s pentagrams but kept moving their feet, trying to push through like bugs smashing against a window.
Up on the balcony, soldiers withdrew, keeping shields up to keep the vicious ghast at bay. It shoved against them and slowly the steel thinned and developed holes, but they held long enough for a window above to open and a cluster of bolts were dropped right onto the undead beast’s head. They shattered, spraying its upper half with clear fluid. Wherever it was touched, it began to burn away, like what its aura did to those around it. Skin already filled with holes vanished quickly, an equally warped layer of muscle giving way next. The creature did not seem to notice as its head began to fall apart, continuing to slash at the dwarves ahead of it until it suddenly toppled, head hollowed out by acid. A soupy mess flowed from its open skull, slicking the top of the ramp.
With a supposed victory, the dwarves behind the ballista kept it up, one readying a new cartridge of explosive bolts to load. The room was stripped of any possessions it might once have had, now loaded up only with boxes of ammunition. From behind these crates, Shammy appeared. The dwarf loading the machine didn’t notice him until he was yanked backwards. Before he even had time to yell, the stone dagger in Shammy’s hand plunged into his eye, piercing his brain. His body was dropped and his comrade turned, drawing his sword. It was only halfway out of his sheathe when Shammy’s foot met his chest, launching him from the window to plummet below. He survived his landing, painfully clambering to his feet, looking at the massed troops outside the building with mounting terror in his eyes. Blue light from Sherry’s eyes speared him and he toppled, giving off whisps of icy air.

Leor was almost immediately stunned by the cry, the creature the hobgoblin was riding caused immense fear on the Poreal, but as the enemy readied a lance, Leor pulled through.
"Timeout for a second!"-He told Onyx as he got close to him and stuck his sword on the ground, Ardure crystals immediately grew out of the ground, not the brittle, glass-like kind Leor had been using so far. They were massive gemstones at least 3 meters tall by 2 meters wide, shaped much like rubies and perhaps even harder, thick as a concrete wall.
"Okay...so, that guy was aiming for me, I don't think I can dodge if that creature head impairs my balance...what should we do about it, Lord Drakenskal?! I don't have the means to reach him before he gets me"
Leor told Onyx as he tried getting all of his senses back on track.

Dammit... This is going to hurt to both of us... - The Queen said, with fingers and nails digging onto Cherry's arm. She first needed to stop the bolt's effects by absorbing it herself, her arm began to shake as white tribal patterns appeared onto it. With her other hand she motioned the patterns to move, an inner magic developed to stop poison and other kind of damage.
She was feeling it, a terrible pain but it slowly began to fade. As she was absorbing it, her body was doing its best to clean itself, she couldn't feel her entire arm at that point. So she needed to give it a few moments before she attempted to remove it from Cherry's wound so she couldn't start healing it... The girl was probably starting to feel again, and that wouldn't be nice... She didn't mind if Cherry cursed at her, but this was necessary if she wanted to use that arm again - Try to endure it... As soon as I start feeling my arm again I'll be able to heal you..

With the dwarves dispatched, Shammy loaded the ballista with all the bolts he could, though he kept hold of one. He turned it around and fired a few bolts into the palace. The explosions should serve as a good distraction and when other dwarves come to investigate, the remaining bolts should deal with them.
When the bolts stopped firing at them and there were explosions inside the palace, Melin ordered Spears and Cutter to go in. They used their weapons to vault over the melting ghast and charged forward. Using Spears' spear-shield for cover in case there were more dwarves coming from inside, she and Cutter made their way inside. If they could take control of the entrance hall, enemies from outside should be called in to reinforce.
Melin was satisfied with the progress his warriors were making. The dagger turned out to be quite handy. Since things were proceeding smoothly, he took the moment from observing the battle to ask Elatha: "Is there anything I can help with? I'm not familiar with healing magic, but if you think I can do something, please tell me."

“That should hold him!” Onyx said about Leor’s crystalline wall. He saw the massive head veer, losing speed as it swerved around the wall. “Or at least slow him down…” With their head start, they were nearly above the summoning device when the head began to close in again, mental scream becoming intolerable. “Leor, I need you to keep going. Destroy that device and don’t look back until you’re done.” Onyx put his hand in his pocket and the ring slipped on without effort. The head dove, lance aiming at Leor’s spine once more. “I hate flying…” Onyx grumbled and whipped himself out of Leor’s grip, right into the path of the flying head. In a burst of flame, his mighty greatsword appeared again, raised high. The hobgoblin couldn’t turn fast enough. The flat of the blade came down, bearing winds like a hurricane. The beast’s wing-ears were clipped on one side and it fell, tumbling, with Onyx.
He did not land gracefully, rolling and bouncing down a shallow slope to sprawl in pitch black sand. He didn’t have time to stand or get his bearings before the hobgoblin was upon him, lance striking his chest and sticking in the bony plates there. “I can’t fucking believe the audacity of you people! That’s another mount potentially crippled!” The hobgoblin screamed. Onyx just grunted and elbowed the spear’s shaft, snapping it off just behind the head. “You have nothing to say? Well I suppose that works for me. Nothing would make me feel any better!” The hobgoblin dropped his broken spear and drew two curved swords with hilts made of bone. “Even chopping you into pieces is a small satisfaction at this point!” He rushed Onyx in a furious charge, swords glinting in the volcanic light.
As Leor went on to the great device, he at first only took a few scattered crossbow shots. It took a second before a great dark shape flew straight up from inside the canyon, arcing above and coming down right at Leor. The dragon from the village opened its mouth wide, flicking out a long tongue in an attempt to drag him into biting range. The goblin atop aimed his staff of stillness, firing off red beams to hold Leor while his beast did its work. From behind a cracked mask, he glared at the poreal.
Cherry realized distantly that the queen’s nails didn’t hurt digging into her arm. She really couldn’t feel anything. The thought made her head swim. But soon, as Elatha’s glowing arm touched hers, she felt jolts of pain. They went from tingles to a searing web of agony centered on her shoulder. She wailed and sobbed, trying her best not to wiggle free of Elatha’s grasp. “Keep going… I need to help… they’re already dying!” She managed to choke out past her sobs. She looked back at the collapsed ghast and had to cover her eyes. He had bought them an entrance. They couldn’t let it go to waste.
“All zombies, in! Stick with my friends and draw fire if you can!” The zombies lurched forwards, following Spears and Cutter. “Listen to them if they tell you what to do.” She added, transferring command to Spears and Cutter themselves. In the halls, the dwarves had fallen back, forming a killbox at a three-way intersection. At the end of three halls, they had set up barriers made from furniture, firing into the center as soon as people stepped in, assailing them with bolts from all sides, explosive, acid, and the basic piercing all combined.
The shots were aimed low by those on the side, to avoid hitting those across from them, but directly ahead, they were trying to take Cutter’s head off with explosives. There were only a few seconds of sustained fire before an explosion tore off behind those on the right. They paused, turned, and two more ripped through the palace. The barricade on the right was vulnerable as half of them turned off to defend their backs, leaving fewer firing at the group in the center.

Leor was hit by a bolt and grazed by another, he was infinitely more nimble on the ground as flying was still a new experience to him. The young gladiator however pulled through. The sight of the dragon almost made him want to back away and run, as much as he had faced beasts for a living, it was never a good experience. Leor however kept a steady charge towards the rider, only barely shifting his trajectory at the last second, stepping on top of the dragon's head as he rushed for the goblin.
As the first red beam shot for Leor, the de-spell field created by his armor made it dissolve into thin air.
"That won't work on me!"- He announced as his ancient gear shielded him from the enchanted weapon.
Leor kept dashing straight towards the goblin and attempted to punch him straight to the plexus, following with an axe kick to the head. whether he was successful or not, the Poreal would not take any more time with him and proceed straight to the device, drawing his ardure sword and summoning small active crystals all over the mechanism, they would not create a large explosion, but rather, a series of controlled blasts, much akin to demolition explosives.
