Camellias are flowers, they come in different colors, but the red ones are the prettiests! - She said with great pride - Once I take back my home I'll take you to my garden, I have dozens of flowers there! - She said with great excitment. Of course, she'll have to take care of it before inviting people, probably no one has even lied a step there after the incident.
As they walked down, Ela was focused on al the things Lom was describing, for her it was a first in a mountain filled with the history and culture of a creature different from driaochtas. They had mountains, but her people enjoyed the most being outside them, near the beach. The more they were approaching the village, the more the scent of death and sorrow began to feel noticeable for her. Without knowing it she was right behind Onyx and Lom. Even if the small goblin hadn't an appearance that most would like, Ela already noticed it was a kid, kids always smelled the same no matter their species. She couldn't do anything but to worry for them, the poor thing got scared by their presence and probably with more than enough reasons.
She couldn't not to think about her own kingdom when she saw the village, dispair, sadness, fear, agony. Her body was fighting as well, her instincts told her to assist the children first, then help the wounded to finally listen to what happened. But her reasoning knew she shouldn't do that, they'll feel worse and probably believe she was another kind of threat. And also, she was glad her tribal marks weren't part of her most of the time, otherwise they would have thought she was some kind of enemy from somewhere else.
Hey Onyx... I guess I should help with Spears... - She said, eyes fixed on the dead bodies and the children that couldn't stop their tears. Maybe she'll have to summong Gallerian's magic to calm down the people, and even to communicate to them. But first they needed to take care of the dwarves.
She sat, paying attention to Lom's explanation over her village, Elatha was deciding the best routes for everybody... She didn't had many troubles with the main path, after all she was as tall as a dwarf... It was a shame Chloe wasn't here, she could have gone there while she went to the canyon
It'll be better if we split... - Elatha was the second one to talk after Leor - The canyon will be easy since I can teleport. The main path seems like the best option, it'll be better than facing craetures like another grue or chokers - She said as she made doodles on the ground, she was calculating her possibilities with enochian symbols - I'll be a little cramped but I can assist you there as well... Oh! Wait! I got a better idea
She put her hands together and began to rub them, little blue sparkles began to appear as she meved her hands fasters. Her face had for the first time a really serious expression. She then clapped her hands once and when she opened a extremely small fire creature appeared. It was so tiny that it fit on the palm of her hand.
This is a fire follet! - She said with a big smile, the tiny creature jumped and slowly fell on the ground almost as if it were snow - These babies don't have any kind of good luck or plant magic like the real thing! But they'll burn anything you need, is my own fire so I can guarantee they are strong despite their size... Oh, just make sure to treat them well, they are pretty sensitive and if they start crying they'll become water follets...
The tiny pixie made its way running around the people that was still sit. Stopping by Lom's side it began to make a chirp-like sound as it jumped, it seemed it tried to cheer her up - Whoever goes on the main path, take the follet. I'll be going to the canyon

Melin followed after Lom, taking in everything she pointed out. Writing things down in his notebook and taking photos o the landmarks with his phone. He found it all fascinating and worthy of studying. Though she doubted he'd have an opportunity to do so again anytime soon, even if they stop the elemental. When they ran across the tiny creature, he was on his guard and ready to summon warriors. Until they explained it was a kid goblin from Lom's village.
Soon came the army, probably frightened by whatever danger from te surface threatened a kid. Luckily, Lom managed to convince them everything was fine. The group went into the goblin (ad dwarf) refugee camp. Melin's attention was drawn in particular to the pikes and swords these goblins carried. Then they reached the injured and the dying strewn about a makeshift field hospital. No, hospital was too good a name for the shamanistic practices here. Though in a world with magic, one couldn't really write off shamanism as a primitive method of medicine. Still, Melin felt some apprehension at the life-stealing methods he was seeing.
He wasn't the only one though. “Melin. Can Spears help?” Onyx asked.
"If they let her. Miss Lom would need to translate so her intentions don't be misconstrued. And Miss Ela can also help with her magic," he nodded at Elatha's offer. It seemed like Lom wouldn't be easy to interrupt now, for understandable reasons. She was worried about her parents.
Once they finally reached the parents, Lom explained what happened with her village, and also the offer her parents gave. Melin felt bad about asking for anything considering their situation, but he also couldn't resist a bit of selfishness. While there were many tools he would love to have and study, one thing took precedent.
"Would they happen to have any spare weapons lying around?" Melin asked. "A sword or a pike or anything really? That could be useful considering the situation."
Then Lom explained the situation with the village. Leor offered to take the canyon. Elatha was fine going anywhere, though with the care she showed Leor, it would probably be best if the stuck together. "If the main road is made for people of your stature, it should also be easiest for you to fight there. Leor wants to take the canyon and Elatha's idea makes sense, so I guess that leaves Miss Cherry, Lady Swanson, Sir Isak, and myself for the waste chute. With our skill sets, the monsters shouldn't present too much of a problem. Though if your parents could also provide us with masks and a light source of some kind, that would be much appreciated." Melin said. "Also, Miss Lom, could you ask the witch doctor to let Spears assist with healing the injured? She can even stay here while we liberate the village if we don't have time to wait."

“Alright. It seems we’re sorted out who’s going where. Leor, Elatha, you will try to cross the canyon. Lom and I will take the middle path with the… follet.” Onyx looked down at the flickering little candle at his feet. It hardly seemed like it could be useful, but underestimating small things hadn’t served him well before. “We’ll draw their attention so the other teams can infiltrate and flank them. Cherry, can you join Melin in going through the midden?” “Hmph. I suppose, if Lom points us in that direction. I would like to keep my forces with me.” Cherry patted Sherry’s head.
“I wouldn’t separate them from you.” Because I don’t trust them not to eat other people. “For everybody, we have these.” Lom raised a palmful of milky-white berries, wrinkled and rather miserable-looking. “The humans who end up down here fork over all sorts of goodies for these. If you eat one, you can see in the dark for a couple minutes. You guys should all take a few. Now Melin, Mom says that if you help heal the remaining people, the shaman might let you borrow his knife. I explained while translating that more unique weapons might be better. If not, we’ll see what we can do.”
After following Lom’s hastily scribbled directions, Ela and Leor emerged into a vast black emptiness. No light source could reach the ceiling from here, fading a few small meters up the rock, but echoes spoke of a room vast beyond belief. Far beyond vision, things moved, feet large and small scrabbling across the stone floor. Lom had told them to follow the wall right here, and if they did, they would soon reach a dead end, a sheer cliff with no bottom. Listening closely, they would hear the rush of water thousands of feet below.
It was here that Lom had suggested they eat their first berries, and if they did, black would become grey and a few things would become clear. It was blurry, as it coated with atmospheric haze, but they could see the village. It was situated atop a hill just outside another tunnel, a few dozen houses with a more fortified hall at the hill’s top. A goodly portion of the houses were leveled, but the causes couldn’t be discerned from so far. Below, the cliffside was steep, marked with few ledges for climbing, and the river moved swiftly. On the opposing cliffside, elongated things moved towards the bottom, but their nature could not be discerned from such a distance.
Lom and Onyx’s path was the most treacherous, the ceiling rarely surpassing their head heights and containing more drops than a dubstep song. A few of the tribe’s elite fighters came with them, armored to various degrees in scales and treated hides, none quite as impressive as Lom’s, but all tougher than the loincloths the majority of the tribe fought in. They made frequent stops for small, naked goblins to sneak forwards and check for lookouts. About half the time, they came back carrying new trophies. Onyx wanted to growl at them for slowing the trip down, but he knew it was necessary if they wanted to succeed. Even so, he couldn’t help but grow more and more anxious as they drew near. The scouts went forward again and after a minute returned, no new trophies. They chattered to Lom, who quickly translated. “There’s a whole group of them right at the entrance. Too many to take out before they could get a warning off.” She said, drawing her sword.
“Then it’s time to stop sneaking. I’ll take point. We strike as hard as we can, as fast as we can. Scouts, try to slip through the lines and sabotage anything bigger behind them.” Onyx drew his ring from his pocket. Its sinuous strings wrapped around his heart and all too gleefully, he pulled it on. “Do try to leave some alive. I have questions.” His clawed hand clenched into a fist, and they all roared around the corner. At the end of a long hallway, a group of armored dwarves stood, just like the ones who attacked them above. One looked first and his head was split in half by a light blade from Lom. The others yelled, closing up ranks. Onyx bowled into the midst of them and they were reduced in an instant to burning shreds falling around him. More of them were above, peeking from behind battlements, aiming cannons. Let them fight. A dragon could not be so easily bested. And neither could a king.
Cherry and Melin had the easiest path, at first. Their hallway actually went upwards in places, necessitating some climbing, but Cherry just floated, having her ghouls help Melin wherever necessary. It turned out they were quite capable climbers, even with a grown man clinging to them. Soon, they found themselves in a small circular room, domed roof just overhead and a gaping hole right in the center. Cherry ate a berry in order to peer down into the abyss. The taste was like bad milk, but the results were exquisite. The bottom of the pit came into view, liquid with a few patches of land. Her shoes would be ruined if she landed. A good incentive to not land. “Melin. Hold onto me, so I might lower us down.” Cherry insisted while her undead jumped in before her, quickly forming a defensive perimeter. Jubilant chirps rang out from the ghouls and she grit her teeth. That wasn’t a good sign. They had found food down there.

The Poreal admired the follet for a while, reaching out for it shyly but ultimately withdrawing his hand. it was such a cute creature! Hopefully Ela wasn't gonna put it in harm's way...
As Leor was handed the berries he looked at them with curiosity, he sniffed one and then proceeded to eat it. His eyes widened tremendously, smiling as he chewed.
"Oh! It's good!!"- He said as he licked his lips. After mostly drinking water for his entire life, food like that was nothing short of a luxury.
Leor's senses had already adapted as much as they could to the darkness, but eating the berries made the grey tones turn into a dim white. they were certainly working!
"I'll be going first, lady Elatha, please watch your step as we go down! if anything happens, I'll come to your rescue!"- He said as he smiled at her, then proceeded to hold onto the ledges and rapidly jump, grabbing onto them with ease as he landed several meters below. quick movement like that was definitely better, although a bit dangerous.
The Village was apparently still some ways to go. figures below made the poreal realize that perhaps it was inevitable to have a fight. It was only now that he wished he had asked for a shield...that was his go to piece of equipment and insted he went into the fray unarmed!
*Oh well, it would have only gotten in the way*- Leor thought to himself, not entirely convinced of his own words.

Elatha listened to the plan, originally she would have thought about using her flames to illuminate their path but the more she thought about it the more she noticed that maybe in this case it would to the opposite compared to the prior situation with the grue and the choker, so she didn't refuse the berries. The follet tilted its head at Leor when it saw he tried to reach it, it waved its tiny hand before it turned its attention to Onyx after being called by him, and before leaving it waved at the others as well, with chirping sounds. In a brief second it was already following Lom like a tiny baby duck followed its mom. The Queen of Driaochtas just let it be, she only hoped for Onyx to don't make it cry, otherwise the follet wasn't going to be as useful as she originally planned. As she went in the path with the Poreal she smiled at his words, that was cute coming from a young boy. Eating one of the berries she got a better glance of where they were - Hmm... there are three ways to do this - She said as she glanced at the bottom of the cliff, she didn't started going down compared to Leor, she also wanted to give both a bit of space otherwise they'll fall or trip - We can, jump and teleport as we have a better idea of what its at the bottom... We can try to slowly go down... Or we can run as fast as we can, not a great idea if you wanna preserve yer' face! - She joked Glancing at the figures she tried to figure out what they were, but it was in vain - Well... You decide how we go down, Leor. Don't worry about landing too hard since Auntie Ela can zap around!
The Follet by other hand was still following Lom and Onyx, it noticed that the dwarf wasn't quite happy with the goblings that were getting distracted so it tried its best to focus. Whenever they got closer, the follet moved to Onyx's side instead of Lom's as it found them a bit scary. When it saw that the others went into position, the tiny pixie got ready, it had to be brave! Brave for it's fearless Master! As the army moved forward and quickly, the follet decided to take advantage of its tiny palm sized body to sneak towards the cannons, it was too high for it. Trying to shine as little as it could but not at the point of getting cold or extinguished, it slowly floated up. It wished to don't get noticed as it shivered from fear.

Melin had hoped for something a bit more permanent. A basic tribal sword he could keep was worth more than a magic one that he would lose quickly. But it was still something very valuable to them, so he'd take it with gratitude. "Alright. Thank you. Spears can stay here to help out. She should be done by the time we clear out the village, then she can rejoin us with the dagger." Melin said so and summoned Spears. One less unit for him, but with Cherry's horde that shouldn't be a big loss going forward.
And her horde was definitely useful. If the zombies weren't there to help him out with the climbing, he'd be a lot more tired than he was now. And this was just the start of their path. Eventually they reached the deep abyss. Melin ate a berry, frowning in disgustat the taste but swallowing it nonetheless, then peered down. Fairly deep and with watery patches obscuring potential pitfalls. It was a good thing they didn't need a rope with Cherry's levitation power.
"Alright." He put his hands around Cherry and held on tight. Her deathly smell was even stronger that way. It got him curious. "I hope you don't mind me asking, but how did you become a necromancer, Miss Cherry? Is it just a family profession?"
Below them, the ghouls became excited. Something else was down there. "We should stay alert," Melin cautioned.

As Leor and Elatha clambered slowly down the canyon wall, they would find the rugged surface wasn’t terrible for climbing. Each sedimentary layer was slightly separated from the last, providing handholds, even if there was nowhere to stand. With their strength, they would make it if they kept going steady. Then the bolts started to come. The first one missed, shattering far below their feet, but the crossbowmen quickly adjusted and the next came right at Leor’s back, a shot dedicated to raw penetrating power. Two more flew straight for Elatha, carrying a searing charge.
Anybody looking out could see one of the dark shapes lunging from the cliff and beginning to swim across the rushing rapids, sleek shape cutting through the white water like another bolt. Moving now, the assailants could be seen, although not clearly. They sat atop things like bats, furry and four-limbed, but with sinuous necks ending in pointed beaks. The figures clinging to them were tiny, slender things, but they fired with deadly precision.
“I don’t mind you asking at all. I never really became a necromancer so much as it was always my destiny. My parents are both big in Friends of the Dead. I was born with their talents. I could always raise small animals, you know? I’ve had animal friends since forever, like any princess.” Cherry’s smile was a little off, but she seemed fine as she lowered into the hole. She found a dry spot and set Melin down. “You’re also a sort of necromanc… er…” What had gotten the ghouls riled up was now clear. Goblin and dwarf corpses lay in the shallow water, amidst piles of more usual garbage like broken pottery and shells. Many were sliced apart by swords, others half-melted by acid bolts. Cherry grimaced, especially when she saw the bodies of the young mixed in.
The invading forces had slaughtered villages and thrown them into their own dump. She understood what kind of people they were dealing with, and it made her heart seize up. “They should be given the chance to avenge themselves.” She said, approaching the nearest corpse. Before she could lay her hands upon it and let it shamble forth again, something splashed in the darkness. She raised her head and caught a glimpse of fur vanishing behind a pillar. “...hello?” Cherry called out, raising a hand, ready to cast a bolt.

Leor was surprised by the bolts, his heartbeat became erratic, he could go down with ease, but not while he was being shot! would the next one hit him? He jumped due to the anxiety, barely dodging the bolt aimed at his back.
He attempted to get a hold of the wall but his hand just couldn't find any grip that stopped his momentum. Time seemed to flow slowly as he fell off the cliff. was that it? a life lived for nothing! Leor shed a tear but ultimately smiled as he closed his eyes. His suffering would finally stop.
*Done already?*- A voice called in his head. Leor opened his eyes and saw a young poreal girl falling with him
"Lars?"- The girl looked like her sister, but upon closer inspection, it was clear it was someone else.
*I'll break the chains that bind you. Fly!*- The girl said as she hugged him, bathing the Poreal in a warm light. Suddenly, Leor stopped falling. He looked at his clothes now. a white and red attire surrounded by a red aura, a red sword with a crystal-like structure was set on his back and he now had a Golden halo above his head. Shura's ancient gear had awakened.
"I'm...not dead?!"- Leor said as he floated around, barely beliveing what was happening. He saw the enemies below attacking them and then turned towards Ela, he flew at an incredible speed towards the Driaochta queen and took a swing with his new blade at the bolts aimed at her, as soon as the blade came in contact with them an explosion was created, destroying them all in a single go.
"Look lady Elatha! I'm not dead yet! come with me, we'll take the fight to them below!"- Leor said as he sheathed his blade and offered to carry her.

Crap - Elatha immediatly summoned a pentagram, it wasn't going to be strong enough as she had spillet her magic to the follet. She had to step back by the force they came with, she was less powerful than before and the constant pain of her body wasn't helping that much either. She couldn't protect Leor either, even if she tried to summon another barrier, it would have been very late. Then she saw it, the poreal got shot.
In a flash, her memory went back at the time when her mother's body was lying on her bed and her father holding her in arms... She doubted him back then, that he was the one that killed her as he was covered in blood. She remebered the years of the Civil War, as there wasn't a true culprit, everyone took sides, the ones that were by the King's side, and the one with Ela. Those years of fighting, trying to cure the ill by the green flames... Everything felt hopeless, and when Fergus revealed his true self to Elatha, she felt devastated and terrified. She had to fight him back since the beginning of her pregnancy, when she knew it- If she didn't fight back, her children would have been an empty shell... it'll be born dead.
Her body froze when she saw the boy falling off the cliff, it was like seeing each one of her loved ones being engulfed by dispair. She then saw herself, falling to the ground while Fergus abandoned her body to take Derek's back then on New York. Then a bright light appeared, a white attire surrounded by a warm feeling. She knew then... everything was going to be all right when she saw the Halo... Maybe, even Poreals could become angels. A Halo was proof of it.
She felt the air returning to her lungs, for some reason, it felt as she was losing another child, the feeling was too similar. Her face went red and big crocodile tears escaped from her cheeks, she looked childish, and so non-queeny like - DONT' YOU DARE MAKE ME WORRIED LIKE THAT AGAIN! - She almost shouted, no, she did it indeed like the mother she was, an authoritative yet distressed tone that was heard for the first time since the beginning of the mission. She let the boy carry her and summoned pentagrams as much as she could - You can fly through 'em, make sure to be behind one so these fuckers doesn't hit us

Melin had to wonder while Cherry was talking about the animals if she killed some herself. But that was perhaps too dark a thought. Sure she seemed a bit wackier than a regular person, but not necessarily psychopathic. Disney princesses don't strangle kittens, right?
Cherry started asking more about Melin, but she was made speechless by the sight awaiting them at the bottom. A carpet of corpses, freshly made and recently dropped. Melin's brow furrowed in disgust. Their dwarven enemies were crueler than he imagined. This wasn't a scare tactic to demoralize the survivors, for why would they ever come down to see this? No, this was pure barbarism.
“They should be given the chance to avenge themselves,” Cherry said. Melin nodded, though added: "We should check if there are survivors first. And perhaps I could find a good soul to add to my ranks."
Their plans were interrupted by movement in the darkness. Onyx did say monsters occupied this area. Unfortunately, this meant survives were less likely. Damn. But no use crying over spilled milk. He took a soul from his belt and a sword from his bag, smushed them together and formed a small blond girl holding the sword on her shoulder. The girl instantly started toward the darkness, but a decisive "Stop, Cutter" made her pause. "No rushing in. Be cautious, it could be a trap."
"Oh please, it's just an animal," she snarled back "Too stupid to make a trap." Yet she slowed down while approaching the darkness, carefully eying the environment. For his part, Melin pulled out his crystal ball to check if he can see anything.

Something bus-sized and slimy came barreling up the cliff, stopping when Leor pulled Elatha away. It was yanked to a stop, looking up at them with beady eyes. It was mostly like a salamander in appearance, but with an enormous, cylindrical chin. The goblin atop it scowled, ugly little face screwing into a ball of consternation. Leor and Elatha flew further by the second. His fingers tapped the radio at his side, but eventually he shook his oversized cone head. He held out his palm and the bolts stopped flying. His beast lunged back into the river and Leor flew on. He still had an ace in the hole. Let them think they knew his tricks. It wouldn’t save them.
“Who is stupid!?” The response came immediately when Cutter insulted the being in the shadows was a mere animal. Cherry stopped looking for pulses and ducked low behind a ghoul. “Wha-who are you! Are you with the people outside!?” She called. “People outside? Threw me food?” The voice had the pitch of a child, but the volume of something massive. “Food!? No! You can’t have them!” Cherry yelled. “Can’t take them!” The voice yelled back. A single eye came into view, drooping like a basketball on a bending branch. It was an oversized, dripping orb, black and green mottled, with a pupil slit against her light. The stalk was colored like a nearly-ripe pumpkin and similarly lumpy, extending back behind the pole.

Elatha's words took Leor back to his teenage years. Her mother used to say that every time he returned from the Arena. Perhaps a piece of bread was not enough to trade for putting your life at risk, but he still did it for Lars, that was one of the few things that could make her smile. As long as he kept winning, his family could keep smiling. That's what he thought back then. The young Poreal wondered if his mother was still doing ok.
Leor teared up a bit and leaned his head on Ela's shoulder as he flew past the danger, now he understood how she looked at him.
"I-I promise not to do it again! Let's try to group up with Lord Drakenskal, see if he needs any help on his front"

Elatha glanced one last time at what lied behind her. The massive slime creature and the goblin didn't give her a good vibe so she edcided to be wary in case they appeared again. That gobling didn't seem to be from Lom's tribe. The absense of the bolts made her anxious, something dangerous was waiting for them later.
Leor leaned his head on her shoulder, close enoug for her to notice the boy teared. she didn't mean to upset him. Neither to yell at him, it just came natural out of her own frustration, she needed to clear out her mind, or otherwise it'll interpose with her mission.
Yeah, we should go with them... - She made a pause, taking a deep breath - I shouldn't have yelled at you... I... apologize for that

The creature could talk. That meant killing it was less justified. Melin did not like this fact. Cutter didn't care. She was ready to go up and cut the thing into bits, but Melin's mental command stopped her again. If this thing was as intelligent as it appeared, perhaps they could get through without a fight. But Cherry disagreed. She wasn't gonna let it eat the dead. Whether it was respect or a desire to bolster her numbers, Melin couldn't tell. This is where the rock and the hard place met.
If they could get through this without a fight, Melin didn't mind the bodies being eaten. But if he was choosing a side, obviously it should be with his ally. In this end, this clearly demanded a more diplomatic approach. "If it's food you desire you should come to the topside with us. There's fresher meat for you, if you fight alongside us." Melin hoped this thing wasn't a natural scavenger. Or that Cutter wasn't gonna go in swinging.

Leor and Elatha would make it to the other side of the canyon effectively ignored, with only the hill standing in their way. A few armored dwarves were visible, but their attention was on the center of town. The sound of combat was deafening, with the eruptions of cannons fighting roaring flames and the clash of arms for dominance. Leor and Elatha could enter the village unhindered, stepping among scattered rubble. A glance down into the town’s center would reveal a scene of carnage. Lom darted about above, raining crescents of light onto the dwarves below, staggering them or cutting them in half outright when they failed to block. The poreal flitted about, burning foes and spiking cannons.
And in the center of it, Onyx. He was a volcano, the central figure in a maelstrom of fire and blood. Melted scales sloughed off his arm and crossbow bolts riddled his flesh, but it did not stop him as tongues of flames lanced out to incinerate the armored dwarves. His sword moved in grandiose arcs, forcing ranks to scatter or die in his wake. His beady eyes held nothing but the reflections of the flames. He didn’t seem to notice Elatha and Leor above, and one stream of fire came right up the hill at them. Half the town was burning and he didn’t seem done lighting fires.
“Fresh doesn’t matter! More matters! Is there more?” The voice asked. “Yes! Much more! But more importantly… These bodies are a special occasion, right?” Cherry responded, composure surprisingly good now. “Yes! Big special! Never get bodies! Normally clay, broken bones, burned things, shells, tasty but small!” The voice came, excited. “I thought so. These bodies are those of the people who were throwing you those scraps. Their village has been destroyed. If you don’t help us defeat the monsters who attacked them, then you will never be fed again. You will have to travel this dark world in search of your own food. Can you do that? Can you live on your own? Without friends to support you?” Cherry stood tall, or at least as tall as she could, Sherry copying her pose.
“No more food…?” The monster’s tone had become dangerous. “They’re taking my food!” Warty orange fingers crawled around the pillar and the creature pushed itself into view. Its body was shaped like a pelican’s mouth, or less charitably, a toilet, with a wide, flat upper jaw on top displaying jutting fangs and a deep body beneath, supported by stumpy legs with lumpy feet. “I will eat them! Eat them lots!” It snarled, stalk eye waving violently behind it. “And leave not a morsel behind, for waste is sin.” Cherry smiled sweetly. “Melin, will you lead our new ally out? I have work to do here.” Cherry was rummaging in her pack, drawing from it a spray can. She began spraying symbols on the walls, humming Disney tunes to herself. It wasn’t often she had such an abundance of material. If as much bloodshed as she hoped was taking place outside, this would be just enough. Her eyes flared green. Let there be blood, and let it obey its queen.

Leor flew into the village still carrying Elatha, the carnage created by Onyx and Lom was destroying the town they were trying to save. a stream of fire came right at them and Leor was barely able to dodge, he would have been fine, but what about Ela? Onyx was completely out of control.
The Poreal headed down so Ela could finally walk on her own. Visibly angry, he headed towards Onyx, who was still fighting. with one swift move, he sunk his blade deep into the ground, making red crystal walls grow around the dwarf, isolating him from the enemy.
"You have to stop, Lord Drakenskal. You are destroying the town and nearly injured lady Elatha. N-no more fire or I'm gonna have to...stop you? maybe?"- He said as he made the crystals sink into the ground, Leor then left to focus on the enemy canons, striking them with his blade as every slice exploded on contact, hoping the damage would be enough to render them useless.

Elatha instinctively maked a pentagram with one of her hands and with the other instead of a fireball she made a water one to slow down the stream of fire. As Leor put her down, she immediatly began to throw as much water as she could to stop the fire. The Follet ran towards the cannons and began to cry, forming a stream of water in order to turn them into useless weapons. It's tears began to float around as if they were tiny bubbles that slowly moved towards the fire, as it went closer they drop dead on them trying to extinguish it. As it noticed Leor's attack coming its way, the follet ran away out of fear making its tears bigger as it tried to return to its real owner.
LOM! THIS IS GETTIN' OUT OF HAND! - The Queen shouted, sword on one hand and "flames" bursting out of the other. At first glance it seemed she was fighting fire with fire, but with a better look that was actually water. She had to put a stop to whatever these two were doing - THOSE WHO WANT TO LIVE BETTER DROP YER' WEAPONS! - She warned, her voice was strong and loud. The menacing face of the Queen of Driaochtas wasn't joking. If she managed to make the dwarfs to stop the only thing left to do was to kick hard Onyx's skull so his brain could react.
The tiny follet returned to Elatha's side as it climbed to her shoulder, crying lots as it tried to explain her what happened, of course it couldn't. The only thing the Queen could command it was to continue to extinguish the fire.

Cherry followed along with Melin and netted them an ally rather quickly. Melin was quite impressed. She might be quirky, but there was clearly more below the surface. He flashed her a smile and gave her a thumbs up. "Wonderful, we'll go save the village." It occurred to him as he and the monster went on their way that perhaps she thought befriending a monster was a princess type of thing to do, but he decided not to look too deeply into that.
The trip out of the tunnel was somehow worse than getting to the tunnel. No, that should've been expected. But whether he saw that coming on not, Melin was gasping for air again while crawling out of the hole. Even Cutter's assistance was of little use. But there was little time for rest. A battle line stretched not too far from them, approaching the village which was now billowing flame and smoke. The dwarves were burning the village down... Unforgivable... Involving innocents in war to this extend was not just a tactic and it was more than Melin would accept.
"Alright, uh..." He looked the creature over, not sure what to call it. "Orangy, those are part of guys who want to starve you. More are in the village, but some people there are working to make your food source available again. So if I tell you not to eat someone, don't do it. Now..."
Melin pulled out a bow and sumoned Bowie to join Cutter, then he pulled out his orb. "Bowie, take position on that hill. Cutter, get ready to charge. Orangy, attack them on that side." He pointed to the end of the battle formation that was further away from the hill. If the monster caused a commotion on that flank, Bowie and Cutter could hit the other flank in the back. In fact, Cutter would charge right in after the monster made contact, her sword growing long enough to cut off three heads with a single good strike. Bowie would cover them from afar and generally pepper the enemy with arrows. And Melin would watch the battle unfold and direct his forces as necessary.

The battle lines in the village proper were doing poorly, not helped when Leor and Elatha emerged at their back. Leor and the follet had ruined their cannons, and Onyx’s mighty swings broke up their ranks. The reinforcements coming from the east stopped in their tracks when the monster lunged into their midst, loping like a gorilla. A shield was raised, not even slowing the monster down as he swallowed the first dwarf he ran into in an instant. The whole group focused fire on him, an acid bolt harmlessly splashing him before an explosive drove him back with a gutteral cry. The dwarves were loading up more explosive bolts where Cutter came from the other side, taking out three at one stroke.
The line broke entirely, some running back to avoid her, others staying put for fear of the monster. Bolts came at her, acid and explosive alike. Before many shots could be fired, the group’s commander fell, arrow in his neck. Bowie got a few more shots out before they returned fire. A few shots went in his general direction, lighting up his position with explosions but too distant to harm him. Their ranks were totaled, unable to come to the rescue of their allied units. Then finally, a reprieve. Leor’s crystals blocked Onyx off and their ranks reformed, pulling back and taking aim. Two explosive bolts came up at Leor and Elatha. “I don’t know what’s wrong with him!” Lom yelled back to Elatha. “The entire town- ah!” She sheltered her face as the crystalline prison around Onyx shattered.
“Leor! You have been a pain in my side this entire trip!” Onyx growled, swatting aside the last few dwarves near him as he marched up the hill. “You don’t understand a damn thing about this. You think we can win without hurting anybody!? I should have sent you back to the surface before your naivate risked my entire mountain!” His arm drew back and with almost no warning, he threw the sword. It spun out like a boomerang, cutting across the battle lines and going straight for Leor. His narrowed eyes suddenly widened as it approached and he extended his arm. The sword stopped in its tracks, flying right back into Onyx’s hands.
“I’m sorry- I shouldn’t-” His voice stopped with his body when a beam of red light lanced from the sky. Completely stiff, he tumbled back down the hill. Anybody who followed the light would see an incoming shadow, dark purple and black, beaky head dominated by basketball-sized eyeballs, diving down to face them. The strange dragon dove low, turning its rugose head and flicking out a long tongue, grabbing one of the goblins who came with Onyx and Lom. Before he could even scream, he was gone, swallowed whole. Before it pulled up again, its rider turned. A slender little goblin, wrapped entirely in black but for a silvery, featureless mask, elongated skull stretching out behind him like an upturned boat. He thrust out his staff, topped with a strange circular head, and another red beam lanced forth, aiming for Elatha. At its touch, she would find herself locked into place like a statue.

Leor had not listened to what Onyx had to say, the sword stopped, but not before slicing Leor on the back. The Poreal was only just learning how to properly fly and did not expect an attack right from the side of an ally.
The edge dug deep into his body, very rarely would he be touched by a blade, but he knew the sensation. Leor fell to the ground and lost his transformation. Perhaps, he had overstepped his bounds and death was his punishment. Yeah, it made sense. who was he to say anything anyway? he coughed blood. his body completely gave up on breathing in a regular way, so it tried using the skin for respiration.
It was only a matter of seconds before he would bleed out to death. The flames engulfed everything around him, the shadow of a monster and its master about to prey on his team. His eyes lost light, he couldn't see anymore.
