"Your partner is the complete opposite of mine, apparently." Gan told Jun with an open laugh, it was good to see her sightly more relaxed now than when they first arrived, considering the journey thus far hadnt been treating either so well.
Listening to Jun being so open about what she thought caught him completely out of guard, perhaps...she noticed he was interested in her? He looked at her now and then as they began to talk.
"I'm not gonna lie, I do love fashion, although I could say the same about you Ms. Li, correct? that dress looked stunning on you."
Gan quickly moved on to answer her question so as not to linger on his previous comment
"The coat is...well, was, from Miranda Adaway. I guess we both lost most of our style by coming here"- He told her still happy.
"So tell me, after traveling to the end of the world and saving the day, what will you do next?"
"Trickery?"- Osechi said as she tilted her head in confusion, it was right after that that a sharp pain struck her on her shoulder. The bullet shattered as it struck her godly skin
"OWWW!!!!"
After rolling in the ground for nearly half a minute she reached for her shoulder only to see her hand covered in golden blood.
"I'm leaking!!!"-She said with her eyes nearly popping out of its sockets, she proceeded to run around in circles as the fight ensued.

Gallerian was happy seeing those two interacting so well, he hoped for things to work between them! He was unsure if he should tell everyone to be faster so they could finish the mission... or if to let that to Vladimir or Aaron. He wasn't going to ruin anything for the sake of love! Love... that made him remember
Hey, Tulip. You said you didn't knew who was Derek's father, right? - The angel was walking with his hands behind him
Y-Yes... But I said that probably Fergus was...
Gallerian took a moment to think, he didn't want to be disrespectful to the driaochta but maybe that guy was extremely blind, both Elatha and Fergus never showed interest for each other just a close relationship between friends... as well they acted more like a Teacher and his student. He tried to remember, Fergus was one of the few people Gallerian didn't trust completely, something was off of him. He was an outsider who decided to live on the kingdom, and he was an adult when he did. The more he remembered the more seemed impossible for Elatha, a princess who was almost a savage animal, and Fergus, the weird warlock of this external world, to be together. It wasn't like Gallerian didn't believe opposites could be atracted to each other. But the more he tried to imagine those two the more he wanted to stick his tongue out to say "ew".
Are you sure those two were together? - The angel asked once again - Because I don't think Fergus was Ela's type.... like... at all.
W-Well! you weren't there during the civil war... Most of the time those two were talking alone, and looked really surprised each time they were caught by me or someone else - The ex-paladin commented, his tone sounded a bit irritated. That caught Gallerian's attention.
Don't tell me you were jealous of them! - He laughed - Well, I can't blame you, you and Ela were together since you were little kids under my care - He remembered those two little brats causing trouble around the farm, stealing apples and annoying the animals.
Chloe's care, we ran away from you most of the time - The other answered frankly
H-How mean! But why!?!? I'm an excelent nanny! - The angel pouted, his feelings were a bit hurt
You are too clingy... - Vladimir sighed, the mere memory of them being hugged and kissed by the angel was awful
W-Well! - The angel went quiet all of a sudden as they walked - But you never denied being jealous of Fergus, so I take it as a yes
The other blushed immediatly despite of his age - We..... I mean, Ela and I... were friends with benefits, it never was something serious... well, it was for me
That caught the angel off guard, he moved his like a robot, staring at the man that was undoubtly blushing shamelessly about that kind of thing. He.... from all people?!!?!??!!? The angel was getting red of anger, how those two little kids fooled him during all these years?!?!?! No, worse, that terrible, terrible excuse of a paladin took advantage of how much the passed King trusted him so he could sneak to the princess chambers!!
I'm going to kill you! How dare you! - The angel began to chase the other who was trying to run away from him - Let me caught you so I can drown you on the ocean, dammit!
She was the one dragging me! Stop, chasing me! Stoop! - Vladimir tripped on the sand, and finally was caught by the angry angel
In Heaven's name, a friend with benefits, really? - The angel was ready to hit him with his foot, the other nodded, looking pathetic even for Gallerian - Fergus, you... who is next in this list?
I don't know - Vladimir got up, still flustered - You know... she... always did whatever she wanted...
Now Gallerian felt pity towards him - Yeah, I know. Are you Heart broken? That may explain why you look so deteriorated - That was like critical hit for the driaochta...

Both of the guards that Erin and Caroline attacked seemed to be hit, but were completely taken out yet. Caroline couldn't respond to Arthur's attempted flirting before the soldier tossed the strange sphere and it began to emit smoke. Caroline cocked her head at the device...her eyes widening when she smelled what it was.
"Erin, move!" She yelled out, diving to the side just in time to avoid the majority of the blast, the heatwave rippling through her body. If her body wasn't naturally resistant to heat, it likely would have left several burns on her body. Erin was further away, so she was able to ungracefully dive into the nearby snow and largely avoid the blast. Lifting her head up, she glanced around to see Osechi running around and crying about...leaking?
"...uh...?" Erin asked in confusion, Caroline joining the HWIC agent and pointing in the direction Osechi was shot from. "Hey, think you can make a wall or something so they can't see us? Would be suuuuuuper helpful." Caroline asked, Erin looking on at the hill. "Uh...I guess? Just don't touch it, ok?" Letting out a nervous laugh, Erin summoned thousands of small pink petal-like objects that began to clump together, making a sizable barrier between themselves and the sniper. Caroline hoped that it would provide enough cover for them to deal with the guards.
"Stay focused, everyone!" Caroline called out as she dove at the guard who tossed that orb at them and aimed to grab him by the right leg, lifting him up and beginning to swing him around. If her maneuver worked, she would toss the soldier as far as she could across the tundra, out of their mind for now.

Their surprise attack failed to knock out the guards in a single strike. Arthur realized this when something his side. Before he even became aware of the pain, he turned. Through the stream of bullets, Arthur danced with the slightest dodges and weaves, getting closer to the prone soldier.
"You were supposed to be asleep right now. Your armor's too sturdy for your own good," Arthur said, thrusting an icicle towards the gun's opening. The snow the man was buried in also started moving, feeling the armor out for any chinks, any holes, any weaknesses it could slip through If it found them, it would fill the armor, then tear it off from the inside. --- The group moved towards their objective ever so slowly. Jun and Gan passed the time with flirtation. Vlad and Gallerian passed the time by fighting over probably something pointless and stupid. Aaron didn't care enough to wonder what it was. As far as he was concerned from their antics so far, if they killed each other, it would only make this quest easier.
Aside from those two pairs, nothing particularly notable was happening. Aaron trudged along in silence. He was starting to think the boat might not have been the worst choice. The two old men could have been tossed overboard and the monsters in the distance would've provided something to break up the monotony. It would've also brought them to the end faster. He sighed in frustration.

“Adaway? You got Adaway?!” Jun startled. Even she had difficulty making appointments with tailors of that level. She had a few Haruko Miyata and Iris Thorne outfits, and they had cost her a good two paychecks and two busy weeks trying to get the reclusive Thorne to meet her. How rich was this guy!? What kind of connections did he have!? “After this? I was going to have a simple Christmas party with Wilson. Ah… it’s a tradition of ours, I suppose.” She glanced back at Wilson, who was drifting over towards Aaron. What was he up to now?
Wilson wasn’t actually looking Aaron, but somewhere over his head. He watched the sails out at sea, tracking their movements. Something was odd about them. They were all moving in roughly the same direction. Was there a school of fish they were call converging on? Wilson’s eyes looked out over the clear water and found nothing jumping, but that didn’t necessarily mean there was nothing there at all. Looking back to the sails, he tried to track their trajectory. It was hard to tell from this distance, but it seemed like… “They’re cutting us off.” He whispered, pointing to the shore where the sailed creatures were about to surface, not far down their path. “My apologies, can we continue this conversation later?” Jun drew her sword and kept her pace.
Dan heard the sniper shots ring out and dove into the snow. His clothes weren’t rated to take that kind of shot! Unfortunately, with both Dan and Osechi out of commission, their enemy was free to rise. “Thanks for the save. I’ve got these two.” She pointed her gun down at Dan, only to have her legs tackled from under her. “Osechi! I need some support here! Stop running around and help me out!” Dan straddled the soldier and pummeled her face with both fists, but he just didn’t have the power to crack her shell. Her gun raised and he grabbed her arm, falling over to put her in an arm lock. He was rewarded with a yelp of pain and the gun falling into the snow. “Bingo.” He grinned at having found a weapon that worked until she materialized a knife in her other hand and stabbed into into his leg. Dan rolled away, leaving a red trail. “Osechiiii!” He yelled, scrambling backwards with the guard chasing him.
The soldier targeting Arthur lost his weapon in an instant, ice first jamming, then splitting the barrel. With measured grace, he threw it aside, a pistol appearing in his hand before the semi-auto even landed in the snow. He had little chance to use it before Arthur had him cocooned in snow. With a noise like car doors being torn off, the snow managed to rip a few plates from his shoulder and torso before he managed to wriggle free. “You’re a real pain in the ass, you know that?” Rolling to his feet, he fired several rounds at Arthur.
Caroline’s attack whipped the grenade-tosser off the ground and with a giant swing, she sent him skidding across the tundra, coming to rest in a canyon of his own making. “That stretching thing… guys, I told you! I told you Huntsman was here!” The guard summoned a new weapon, a bulky, rocket-shaped backpack with a flaming tube he held. “I swear to God… whatever, fry her.” The one fighting Arthur called and he gladly complied, spilling forth a billowing cloud of flame as he marched forward, trying to drive her into Erin’s wall of petals.
“I lost visibility.” The sniper muttered to his compatriots. “Be advised, I’m going to clear the wall.” He stood and the rifle in his hands vanished, replaced by the same enormous bazooka that had demolished an entire hill earlier. He aimed right at Erin’s defensive wall and pulled the trigger.

While Gan would settle for nothing less than Miranda's work, the idea of having a seamtress within the Musashi was definitely appealing, maybe it was indeed time to hire one for the clan.
Gan listened to Jun who seemed to notice things were about to get ugly, he nodded as his hand hovered over the hilt of his blade.
"By all means, we have to deal with this first"
the second time Osechi checked her shoulder the wound was gone, it was at this moment that she noticed Dan calling for help
"Dont worry, I got you!"- Osechi took out a knife out of her pocket and aimed carefully. As she inhaled, only the glimpse of her movements could be seen. in what was apparently a fraction of a second, Osechi had released a dozen air pressure cuts aimed right at the guard. individually, they didnt hold much power, but all of them were aimed at the same spot with surgical precision. The shinto then ran next to Dan, looking to help him get up, as his leg was in pretty bad shape.
"ouch...looks like you got a leak...want me to patch you up?"
The shinto slightly pierced the tip of her finger with her knife, a single drop of golden blood was offered at Dan
"This will will help, drink it!"

"...oh no..." Erin's eyes widened when she heard the rocket being fired at her wall of petals, the rocket exploding upon impact with the wall when thousands of cuts pierced its walls. Erin quickly went to work concentrating the petals around the explosion, the sheer force behind it sending large shockwaves through the area. By directing her wall upward, Erin was able to deflect most of the heat and explosive force, but several rays of heat managed to escape through the gaps. "Crap crap crap crap..." Erin muttered to herself, trying to stay focused. Why did they have rocket launchers with this level of power?!
Nearby, Caroline watched as the soldier approached her with his flamethrower. Caroline looked on with amusement...before it turned into shock when she heard the deafening explosion of the rocket behind herself, the doll knocked off her feet by the force of the explosion. "Ooooooow..." Caroline said as she slowly regained her senses. From what she could see in her blurry haze, Erin's wall was only barely containing the rest of the explosion and the soldier was still advancing on her. "I guess I might have underestimated you all..." Caroline said in a strangely sinister tone.
Suddenly, Caroline's body whipped to the side, making a semicircle around the fire and, pushing off the ground, shot toward the soldier and aimed to grab onto his arms, attempting to wrap her’s around his and beginning to twist. If successful, Caroline would wait until she heard the sound of his arms popping out of their sockets before letting go. If they didn’t, she would remember the explosion earlier and toss the soldier toward the side of a nearby cliffside. "Sorry, your little armor forces me to be a little more...mean." She seethed into his ear before pushing off his body and rocketing toward Erin.
---
Nearby, Erin had dissipated her petals to prevent any stray ones knocked away from the explosion from hitting the group. "Phew...that's...it..." The HWIC agent said with exhaustion. Containing an explosion of that size used up a considerable amount of mana. Suddenly, Caroline rolled next to Erin and stood up next to her. "Bwah?!" Erin blurted out in surprise. Caroline placed her arms on Erin's shoulders. "One question; do you trust me?" The snake doll asked. Erin looked on with confusion. "Uh...yes? Why?" "Well, I hope you still will after this.” Giving a sinister smile, Caroline grabbed Erin by the arms and, bending her own body as far back as she could, whipped it forward and sent Erin sailing across the battlefield toward the soldier who shot the bazooka.
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!” Erin cried out at the sudden throwing. Why out of the entire group was she thrown?! Letting out a long sigh, Erin concentrated on the area where the rocket originated and held out her hand aiming to send a wave of petals across the landscape, slicing apart anything in its path. The quick motion shouldn’t cause too many slices if hit, but it would be a flurry of slashes if any landed on the soldier.

“You’re a real pain in the ass, you know that?” the soldier said while getting his pistol out.
"Says the guy who should've been fast asleep by now." Arthur watched the main raising his gun and formed a gauntlet of ice on his own hand. The first bullet flew past his face, he moved slightly to avoid the next, leaned back for the third and the final bullet struck the raised gauntlet. The gauntlet suddenly opened up into a sheet of ice and flew toward the pistol to wrap itself around it.
"Now..." A pile of snow rose up in front of the guard, threatening to swallow him. "...just..." It actually served as a screen to hide Arthur running behind the guard. "...go..." He jumped up to do a roundhouse kick at the guard's head. "...to sleep!" --- Aaron saw the pale man staring at him and getting closer. "What the hell do you want?"
Wilson ignored him and Aaron realized he was actually staring over his head. He turned to follow his gaze. It was just the sails. What was so interesting about them?
“They’re cutting us off,” Wilson whispered. Aaron looked again and saw he was right. He cracked his knuckles and continued trekking forward with the party. They were getting a fight even without the boat, and at least they'd have proper footing this way.

Vladimir was having the worst of the times, he got insulted, yelled and even got chased and cursed by Gallerian. The day couldn't go any worse... or maybe it could. The angel by other hand went closer to the shore, he summoned his axe and waited. His wings spread ready in case he needed to fly. He was quite mad that the lovely chat Ju and Gan were having got interrupted! So this self-proclaimed cupid was going to cut off anything that dared to treat his ship! The ex-paladin didn't knew what the angel was thinking.... but he had a terrifying smile on his face, Vladimir decided it was for the best to move aside and keep some distance from his Teacher. Taking his spear, he was ready for the action.

The pistol was frozen in the guard’s hand and he grumbled, apparating a knife in his hands and charging. He jumped as the snow rose, scrambling his way up. Arthur crested the hill too fast for him and his leg flashed out across the soldier’s vision. He was sent tumbling back down, coming up on his knees. Without wasting a movement, he threw a knife for Arthur’s chest, hoping to open him up for a renewed charge. “You keep trying what doesn’t work.” He hissed, throwing punches from outside of Arthur’s reach. “You don’t understand a thing. Of course, that’s be expected. If you did, you wouldn’t be-”
Every one of Osechi’s air cuts landed in an overlapping pattern on the soldier’s chest, little currents of air making their white lines to form a momentary spiderweb. In an instant, the spiderweb was gone and green armor shattered right in the center. “Guh.” Blood dripped into the snow. She looked at the hole in armor, hand shaking. “What… you can’t…” Her words gave way to a choked scream the next second when Dan’s fist landed right on the hole Osechi had made. He pummeled the weak point like a jackhammer until her transformation gave way and she collapsed in the snow. Dan shook his bloodied fist off as Osechi approached. “I… what?” He stared at the offered finger. Well, he had seen weirder. He took the drop with his own finger and stuck it in his mouth.
The first thing that struck him was the taste. The divine ichor of the gods was unlike anything else. The tiny drop seemed to roll over his whole tongue with buttery, divine sweetness, implacable but reminding him of everything good he had ever tasted. All aches and pains were gone in an instant. He flexed his leg a few times, testing it out. With his self-healing clothes, the only sign he was ever hurt at all was the blood on his leg. “Incredible. I could use that more often.” He rolled his neck and readied himself for the next round. “Alright, let’s-”
Both parties were interrupted by the earth-shaking force of the rocket blast ripping across the battlefield. Erin had deflected a good deal of it, but what was left over was still enough to knock flat the guards and Dan. The one who fired it lowered his weapon to survey the damage. “Ventura, you fucker. Watch where you fire those things!” The soldier fighting Arthur pushed himself off the ground. “I knew where I was shooting. This was worth it. The wall is down.” His launcher vanished and he raised a sniper rifle again. “I’m taking Cromwell first.” Before he could fire, however, Erin was slingshotted right at him.
“Well, don’t see that every day.” A wave of petals washed over him. He was buffeted by slashes, pushed back but uninjured. When they cleared, he dropped the sliced fragments of his sniper rifle. “A Miyata?” He noted as she flew overhead, falling in the snow behind him. “Damn. We’re going to have to move the base when we’re done here. The death of a Miyata won’t go unnoticed.” He spawned an assault rifle and swamped the spot where she landed with rounds.
Caroline moved just like a serpent, weaving around and over gouts of flame to entangle its origin. “Wait, we can talk about- ah! No! Ahhhh!” He screamed as Caroline’s body extended. No amount of physical padding could stop what she was doing to his joints, and with a wretched pop, they both came loose of their sockets. He shuddered and lost his armor, taking normal human form as he went limp in her arms.
The sailed creatures emerged just ahead of the group. They seemed to take shape from the water itself, pouring as it did from them as they emerged. So alien were they that it took Jun a second to realize what exactly she was looking at. They shuffled awkwardly on short hind legs, balanced by the long torso and tail. Their duck-like waddle didn’t ease the pressure of these massive creatures shambling about on land. Their arms were muscular, claws nearly touching the ground. Their bodies were led by long, crocodilian snouts, teeth like spikes to catch prey and hold it tight. Their black and white seabird coloration was contrasted by one feature, a single swept-up crest on each of their heads, rising up between their eyes like a bony crown. There sat their masters, leaned up against the crests like they were chairs.
Each goblin was its own gruesome being, tending towards blues and greens but otherwise as diverse as snowflakes. Each wore a feathered cap, certainly some sort of artifact that allowed their underwater escapades. Each held a harpoon, and quivers tied round the crests held many more. “That’s what a spinosaurus looks like?” Jun muttered, hanging over in exasperation. These things were going to be a total pain to fight. “We hear you battled land clan, humans! Heheheheheheeeeee!” An especially ugly goblin, face little more than a cancerous mass of warts, giggled. “They maaaaaaaaaaad! Hehehehehe!” Another one chirped. “We like that! Land clan bigga big enemies!” A third hopped up and down with excitement.
“So… we escort you. Land clan working with devils! You fixing that up, ya? Not like we want devils down here.” The head goblin shuddered. “...one moment.” Jun frowned, turning to the others. “If they’re telling the truth, we could use the help.” And I want to ride a dinosaur! An unbidden thought piped up and was ignored. “On the other hand, this could easily be an ambush. Thoughts?”

"Maybe don't...humans kinda go boom when they drink too much"- Osechi told Dan right before the blast sent her flying away. The kami awkwardly landed head first into the snow, getting her entire body covered under a thick layer of snow.
Noticing she was now under some sort of cover, Osechi decided to stay there and play dead, her eyes only peeking outside the snow blanket, surely if she didnt move they wouldnt notice her!.
"Well we don't have much choice, doing recon for this entire area would take too much time. Besides, riding a a creature as rare as this seems like a once in a lifetime chance, don't you think?"-He told Jun, unable to hide his excitement.
To Gan, who spent most of his youth on horseback, riding was not only a passion, but a lifestyle. even after he left the steppe, his love for it never faded. Dinosaurs surely were all the more exciting, hopefully he could convince the rest to join. He moved towards Aaron in order to speak with him
"What do you think? This might be our best bet, unless you have something else in mind?"

A small pang of guilt spread through Caroline when she heard the sound of the soldier’s arms popping out of their sockets, followed by the soldier slumping over without his armor on. She made a mental note to go back and pop his arms back into their sockets...but she knew there was no way she’d remember.
On the far side of the fight, Erin ungracefully landed in a pile of snow headfirst after her involuntary flight. “...uuuuuuuuuugh…” The HWIC agent groaned in frustration. “Did I at least get h-IIIIIE!” Erin shrieked when the hail of bullets came down from all sides. She hastily summoned a wall of petals to surround herself, but there was now two issues.
One: The bullets now came down as thin shrapnel. Two: The petals began to slice apart the snow above, making it come crashing down and bury the HWIC agent.
Meanwhile, Caroline had sprinted to the spot where she had thrown Erin and dove at the man shooting at the snow, whipping out her knife and aiming to drive it directly into the back of his knee. Regardless if it worked or not, Caroline attempted to grab the leg she stabbed into and aimed to throw him as far as possible toward the group gathered near the entrance. “Don’t worry...you won’t feel the landing, m'kay?” She said casually while throwing. The knife was drenched in a paralysis poison that would quickly seep through his veins, working its way from the legs all the way up the body.

When the gremblins introduced themselves, Gallerian immediatly removed his axe. Seems some good things can happen after you discovered that your best student was a sneaky little pervert who took advantage of the king... Well, it wasn't like that but he didn't liked not knowing such information for a long time. I'm fine, if they are lying I don't mind correcting bad behavior, Ju~! - The angel said with a soft tone despite of the meaning of his sentence. Vladimir just sighed and nodded as well, if they are telling the truth it would be in part... logic, the North Pole didn't seem a place where demons lived among the other creatures, so it would be for the best of everyone to get rid of them... unless both of these clans were only one and were trying to feed them to devils.... Both posibilities lead towards their target.
We should be careful anyway... - Vladimir said, worried.

Despite taking a kick to the head, the soldier had enough composure to throw a knife at Arthur who reflexively raised his still gauntleted arm to his chest. The knife bounced off with a clang and landed in the snow.
"You're really starting to annoy me now. I'm not trying to kill you, but I only have so much patience."
The soldier said something about trying the same things over and over again, but was interrupted by an explosion and a powerful shockwave that pushed even Arthur across the snow. Someone on a cliff had fired a rocket that Erin managed to block. Seeing that was what happened, Arthur turned back hoping his enemy hadn't gotten a good jump on him while he was distracted. He needn't have worried though. The soldier was apparently too busy giving out orders to focus on his own fight.
Arthur snapped his fingers and the snow in front of him rose up and solidified into a wall of ice. It started sliding over to the soldier, but split into two before actually making contact and the halves moved to his sides. They revealed two white balls coming right at him. They would blow up on contact and encase the soldier in ice. And just in case that wasn't enough, Arthur had already leapt into the air. The air distorted around his leg, turning into wisps of white like breath on a cold day, and when Arthur came crashing down with the same leg, another explosion of ice would occur where it struck. --- The sails reached land quickly and gremlins climbed off of the strange presumably dinosaur creatures. They weren't hostile, not right away at least. They didn't agree with the actions of the ones the group already faced. Aaron wasn't sure how trustworthy they would be, but riding a giant lizard was more appealing than trekking through a jungle on foot. Gan turned to Aaron and asked him for his opinion.
"If they wanna fight, it's better we're on those things' backs than in front of their jaws. I say we take the ride and feed them to their pets if they try fucking with us."

Dan barely seemed to register the snow he was brushing off his shoulders as he stood. “They what?” Dan balked. “Have you, like, actually seen this happen? Or is this just something you, ah, academically know?” He noticed only a moment later that Osechi wasn’t moving, lying still under the snow. “Oh come on, there’s only two left!” He yelled, although he wasn’t close enough to join the fight himself. The closer one, still fighting Arthur, was easily frozen by the two frost balls. He struggled, but Arthur was already plummeting foot first. There was an explosion of sheer cold, casting an even greater chill over the whole battlefield. When the snow fell back down, the guard was entirely encased in ice, unmoving.
Caroline’s attack was also effective, catching the gunman by surprise and piercing through the vulnerable joint in his armor. He groaned and spun, trying to gun her down. Before he could lower his gun to target her, she was already whipping him off the ground. He roared in anger as he was snapped across the battlefield to crash right into the front door, sliding down feet first into the snow. His joints were locking up. He barely remained standing until Dan jumped in with a hook to the side of his head. The blow went unfelt under his invulnerable helmet, but the world tilted over and he found himself on his side. No longer would his limbs respond to his commands, and so there he stayed half-buried.
Dan grinned, momentarily thinking about how he had just taken down two of the guards to Arthur’s one. Without powers! He waved to Caroline. “Finished this one off for you.” He knelt to search the pockets of the one who lost her armored form. “Found it!” He lifted what he was looking for; a slick white key card. One swipe and the door clattered open, revealing a small entry room of cold steel flooring, only feature a large platform elevator, at least 20 feet wide and just as long.
Jun looked at Gan in surprise. He was so excited about this. Possibly as much as her, and clearly less good at hiding it. She nodded and stepped up to the foremost goblin’s mount. “Very well. We accept your alliance.” She offered her hand to shake. To her horror, the goblin spat in his own palm before offering it, coating it in yellowed slime. Wincing all the way, she spat in her own gloved palm and shook. The chieftan nodded and pulled a conch shell from his hip to his mouth. A low drone rang across the shore and three spinosauruses were led up to the group.
“We only have so many spares, so you will have to ride two to a dinosaur. Do not worry, they are very well trained. Very safe rides!” He called as he led his spinosaurus back into the water, waiting for the heroes to follow. Jun shed her soiled glove before clambering onto the nose of the nearest one. “Gan, if you would?” She offered her bare hand to pull him up with her. Wilson walked past her, pausing briefly to look. He shrugged and moved on, taking another dinosaur. He figured Vladimir and Galerian would go together, so that left him with Aaron. He silently raised a hand in greeting to the firey redhead, curious about how he would handle this.

Caroline watched as Arthur used his ice powers to defeat the soldier he was fighting, letting out a whistle at the maneuvers he was making. When she heard Dan calling out to her, the reptilian doll gave him a polite wave from afar. “Aw, I’ll let him have that one.” Caroline said to herself, smiling. A thought then dawned on her...where was Erin?
Scanning the area, Caroline quickly flicked out her tongue to get a read on the heat signatures of the area. She felt a strange signature under a pile of snow nearby, and dove in. A few seconds later, she emerged, pulling a snow-covered Erin up by the arm. “Up you go, you arctic mole! No more hiding!” She chirped, Erin looking down at the snow with a red face. “I...was about to get out! All that snow falling down was just...a surprise!” Embarrassment washed through Erin’s body. Of course Caroline had to save her yet again...nobody probably even noticed her stopping that rocket! Before Erin could think of more self-deprecating thoughts, Caroline yanked the rest of her body out of the snow and pulled Erin into a hug.
“You don’t have to justify anything, ok? You stopped that rocket from blowing me up, and helped take these guys down. We all have our strengths, no?” She said, patting Erin on the back. The HWIC agent stood stock still for several seconds, before letting out a sigh of relief and tentatively hugging back. “I...I guess. Why are you so...nice to me?” Erin asked with confusion. Caroline released the hug and stepped back a few steps. “Hm...maybe because you’re nice, strong, and totally adorable? Do I need more than that?” Smiling, Caroline turned to join the others, Erin silently following several feet behind.
Once they reached the others, Caroline looked at the elevator and whistled. “Looks like we’re going down there! Great work, everyone.” She gave the group a few small claps. “Anyone happen to know how to work one of these?” Caroline asked, motioning toward the elevator while she gathered all the defeated soldiers and arranged them into the corner of the room. “Wouldn’t want these goons freezing to death out there, would we?” She said, Erin silently nodding. “Right...hang on, I got this.” Reaching into her pocket, Erin pulled out several pairs of golden cuffs and proceeded to link them onto the wrists of the soldiers. “That should keep them down for a while. Everyone...alright still?” Erin asked, scanning to see where Osechi went.

Noticing the fights were done, Osechi jumped out of her hideout in order to scare Erin
"I am heeere!♪" she said in a playful tone as she went on to hug her from the back.
"Are we going inside? I'll help!"- Osechi suggested as she looked around, should she find any button at all, she would press it at random.
Gan noticed Jun had changed her tone, she even dropped the formalities. perhaps she was also having a good time?
"I'll gladly join!" He said as he reached out for her hand in order to mount and with one quick jump he sat right behind her. looking at everything that surrounded him made him think out loud.
"It really does feel like a dream" Gan sighed for a second and then looked forward
"Well, even if it is, let's make the most of it"

You're coming with me, I have to ask you one more thing - The angel said as he went towards one of the dinosaur, his tone immediatly changed when he faced the creature - Hewoo!!!! Preetty baby! Aren't you big and cute? - He said, touching its face. Not without casting a safe smell on his hands before, he didn't want to startle the poor thing - I would smooch your face all day but we gotta go! - he squealed before climbing it.
Vladimir could only sigh... Angels of Creation were... embarrasing... animals were babies to them, and only creatures like humans and driaochtas bored them depending on their age. He was the same back when he was a child but after he went 50 years, Gallerian suddendly became more strict and serious. Is not that he liked being smooched, but being bullied by him was even worse!
So what do you want to ask me now? - The ex-paladin said once he sat on the dinosaur. hoping it wasn't another embarrasing question
Well! This one is easy - The angel chuckled - Do you want to see Derek?
That caught the other off guard... How he could? - I'm sorry, but I got cursed before being banned from the Kingdom, if I get closer to my family and loved ones their luck with drop and be in extreme danger... My younger brother and his wife.. I've met them on England, but they were running away from the Vatican, we ran off to Austria... They had a child during that time too. Sadly they couldn't make it and I had to leave the boy to a woman so he won't be killed too.
That's.... Really sad... I'm sorry - The angel apologized - Do you remember your nephew's name? Maybe I can find him and tell you if he is fine
Of course I remember his name! And his features, he has brown hair, green eyes and two adorable moles under his eyes, freckles... Thomas was a really cute baby...
Wait... Thomas? - The angel looked behind him, facing the other - By any chance... the woman was called... Rachel Sillything?
What - The other went silent all of a sudden. T-The world can't be this small, right? H-How was that even possible
Gallerian laughed all of a sudden - Blood is a really strong bond, isn't it? Now I get it! Back when Derek made its wish on the Follet's wishing well he asked to be safe with his family, now I get it! - He keep laughing as a small tear escaped from his left eye - Then if this helps, Thomas is fine, living with Derek on a small apartment on New York. He is under my care too
I- I see - The other couldn't only answe that, he felt euforic all of a sudden, maybe this was the happiest christmas he had on a long time.

"Phew," Arthur exhaled. "See, you could've gone down faster and saved us both a lot of trouble." He stretched and walked over to the rest of the group, the guardcicle sliding after him. He saw Caroline helping out Erin and chuckled. The Miyata really had an unfair advantage in this race. Cute and clumsy, there was no way Caroline could resist those moe vibes.
The group soon gathered together and Erin cuffed the soldiers, even the frozen one Arthur made sure to carefully unfreeze hands first until the cuffs were where they should be.
"Yeah, I'm fine, Erin. I could go a few more rounds even." He shadowboxed a bit to emphasize his point. "Caroline? Osechi? Dan? I can see some blood on that tear." He pointed at where the knife hit Dan's leg. "I can patch you up if you need it." --- The group made a deal with the dinosaur riders, although they had to share their rides. The woman and man who couldn't get their eyes off of each other obviously went together. So did the young and old man who were practically an old married couple already. That left Aaron with the native american who silently raised a hand, presumably saying hi. The Irishman responded in kind and hopped on the dinosaur's head. He sat down, pulled out a cigarette, and beckoned Wilson over with a nod of his head.

“Actually, Osechi healed me. Ah, don’t let it become a habit. I might explode if she does it more.” Dan showed that there was no cut beneath the hole in his pants. “Anyway, I’m sure this isn’t too hard to use.” He turned to the control panel at the back and found a simple locking lever and a single button. “See, only one floor.” Dan grabbed the lever and gave it a zig-zag yank and tapped the button, sending the elevator slowly sliding downwards.
Dan tapped his foot, glancing over his shoulders and the people behind him. With all the trouble Arthur had, he still looked entirely fresh, like he didn’t fight at all. Dan knew that if didn’t drink that blood, he would already be tired from fighting for mere minutes. And Erin was practically hanging off of Caroline now! He needed to do better with what he had! He shadow-boxed more intensely than Arthur, visualizing fights in his heads and how to handle the armored guards.
“How interesting! Could that blood perhaps help me?” The Gingerbread Knight motioned to the hole straight through his body. Dan leaned down a little to peek through the hole, not seeing anything inside the armor. “Uh… Can you even… eat?” He tilted his head. Weird stuff wasn’t new to him, but walking armor made of sugary bread was a new one on him. Who even made something like that? Why not use magic metals? Or did his kind naturally come into being? That would be even stranger. “Oh, I cannot. What a shame! Arthur, your assistance would be grand!” The Knight shrugged. “Anyway, ah… are you two fighting invisible opponents? Do you require assistance?” He only now seemed to take notice of the shadowboxing.
“A dream?” Jun murmured. “No, that would imply I’m getting enough sleep lately. I’ve been too busy training for my duel.” She yawned, stretching, tempted to lean back onto Gan. It was inappropriate. He was certainly interesting, but did she have time to explore these feelings? Her calculations of time management were interrupted by their sight of shore. The mighty web of roots that stretched from forested floor to cavern ceiling rose up before them, closer every second. But something waited, guarding it. The beach was crowded with callicantzari and mounted goblins. The majority rode the same feathered abominations the group had already encountered, but this time, there were some clear stand-outs.
Two massive animals, like tanks with crocodile scales and railroad spikes for faces, stood in the center. They flicked quill-covered tails, stomping impatiently. The goblins atop them rode in war platforms, bigger and more muscular than their common brethren and completely covered in bone armor. Similarly oversized was their clear chieftain, seated atop the only dinosaur they possibly could be. “Oh, hell.” Jun drew her sword as a massive Tyrannosaurus roared. It was almost unrecognizable as such, but the small arms tipped with two fingers each gave it away. She couldn’t see any feathers from here, but neither did it resemble the rex of Jurassic Park. Its teeth weren’t exposed in its closed mouth, covered by strange, loose lips like a camel or a bulldog. The back of the jaws didn't have the smooth, simple jawline the creature's skull suggested, but massive, bulging jaw muscles. A small horn, like a unicorn’s but fleshy and blobby, lay between beady eyes.
A wall of crossbows was raised onshore and a volley launched. For a second there were dozens of bolts in the sky. Jun was ready, scales spreading up her arms. The few bolts that made their way to her were slashed out of the air. Wilson casually caught one heading towards Aaron, tossing it into the water without a word. A few of their mounts roared when bolts penetrated their flesh, but there were no fatalities from the initial barrage. Their allies launched their own flurry of bolts to similarly lacking results. Jun huffed and drew back an arm. She couldn’t flick her scales far enough to do any damage at this range. It was annoying, but they would likely take another round before getting to shore.
