Jun cringed at her introduction. “Yes, Jun Li. Pleased to meet you all.” She lied. Everybody in this group seemed like a nightmare. The ginger was an asshole, Gallerian was dumb as a sack of hammers, Tulip didn’t get along with Gallerian, and the man who had helped her on the plane was giving her an odd look. What’s his problem? She wondered. “You failed to respond to his attempt at a human greeting earlier.” The Shattered One told her. What!? She stared in horror and immediately wheeled to Gan. “I am so sorry, I did not see you earlier.” She extended her hand. “I woke up at about midnight today to come here.” She had mostly covered up the bags under her eyes with makeup, but there were tired lines to her face that couldn’t be covered. They weren’t the result of just one night’s lost sleep, but of months of obsession.
“Don’t worry about the trip down. Some curious pterosaurs might check you out, but they’re pretty harmless for the most part.” The guide pulled a lever and they began to descend. “Pterosaurs?” Jun wondered aloud as they slowly began to sink into the hole. Something small and furry darted up to the elevator, hovering right in front of Jun’s face for just a second. A bat? It couldn’t be, bats didn’t have beaks. It was gone before she could get a better look. Just what sort of world were they entering?
Dan nodded with each bit of advice, taking them all in. It all made sense to him, even if it was all a little overwhelming. So he shared Erin’s frustration when he didn’t get the chance to use those tips. He grumbled to himself, realizing he was going to be left in the cold. He was trying to think of a way into the conversation when they topped a hill and something came into view. In the valley before them, two armored figures stood stock still like posed action figures. They held oversized pistols in green-gauntleted hands, pointing at a third unmoving figure on the ground.
Through the snow, all Dan could pick up of their enemy was shades of brown surrounded by human bodies. “What the hell?” Dan sank, staying out of sight. The two figures instantly looked up, revealing visors that wrapped around their skulls. “Who goes there?” One called, voice metallic and harsh. “Surrender yourself!” The other one cried, voice like an electronic accordion. “So I vote no on surrendering ourselves. I think they guy they’ve got is the agent Santa mentioned!” Dan gestured over the hill, crouched safely.

"I-It's ok! I completely understand, no need to apologize for something like that"- Gan replied now somewhat embarrassed for having misjudged her. Looking straight at her made him realize she indeed looked exhausted, but god was she still gorgeous. He reached for Jun's hand the moment she extended it.
"Nice to meet you...Ms. Li" He said with a gentle smile that made his former bad mood evaporate into thin air. He then turned towards the others in order to introduce himself, as soon as he finished with that, he would move towards the elevator.
The mention of prehistoric animals did not go unnoticed by Gan, though small winged lizards were gonna be quite probably the least of their problems as they went down further into the depths of hell.
Osechi puffed her cheeks again, why was everyone complimenting each other and not her as well!? was it because she was fat? or was it the clothes!? everyone was bragging about seamtress work left and right after all. Or maybe...?!
"Oh. Now I get it! you two like her!"- She said while thinking out loud. She was gonna keep inquiring on the situation but Dan had just witnessed possible enemies. listening to the guards and then Dan's suggestion made her reply almost immediately.
"Of course we are not gonna surrender! I think they saw at least one of us tho."-Osechi told Dan as she began to think what to do.
"I have an idea! You look harmless, you should go and distract them!"-she told Erin as she attempted to push her out of cover.

"A common misconception." Arthur chuckled and pulled out his ID. "I'm probably the oldest one here. I'm actually 30 and even have two adopted daughters. But I'm doing this for all the kids in the world actually. And, you know, Santa will owe me after this!" He noticed the others (sans Osechi) were having trouble joining in. Now where's the fun in that? Maybe if they had a chance to cut in with their own motives...
"So what's you're story? I don't imagine beauties like yourself come to the North Pole just to help out San-" He was shushed by Dan before he managed to finish his sentence. He'd spotted a pair of armored figures surrounded by bodies and the group quickly got into cover. Too late though. They'd noticed them and Osechi tried pushing Erin out as a distraction, but Arthur held her back.
"Don't be silly. Erin's bound to have an easier time using her petals if they guys don't see her before they're cut down. Right?" He gave Erin an encouraging smile, raised his hands and came out from behind cover.
"Huh, you guys have bigger guns than I was expecting." He put on a grumpy face, as if he was bothered that he was discovered. He was ready to react to their actions. The snow and ice gave him a big terrain advantage. Especially if they started threatening the one lying on the ground, the ice meant he could produce a protective barrier faster than usual. "Let's not be rash now. Maybe we can cut a deal of some sort? You guys are after Santa, right? Maybe I can help you find where he's really hiding."
"You have dinosaurs down here?" Aaron asked incredulously. As if on cue, a small and furry creature flew up to the elevator. Aaron did not recognize it as a pterosaur or a dinosaur though. In his mind, those were large, scaly or leathery creatures as portrayed in popular culture. As far as he knew, the thing they just saw was just another demon.
"You also have flying rats. Featherface," he turned to Gal, "Can't you radiate angelically? Make those things not swarm us."

“...huh.” Caroline said with surprise, looking at the ID Arthur showed. It didn’t appear fake...then again, she had a harder time determining the authenticity of IDs in this timeline. “So you care about the kids of the world, huuuuuuh? Perhaps you are an old man after all. I don’t think you’d make a convincing mall Santa though.” She teased. When Osechi beamed out her observation, Caroline couldn’t contain a few laughs.
“Hehehe...I think you might not be far off.” She said to Osechi, patting her on the back. “You look great too, by the way. And I must say, I’ve never seen someone drink a demon out of a giant straw before. You’re quite the wild card.” Caroline said to the goddess. Glancing back at Arthur, she began to reply.
“Weeeell…” Before she could say anything further, Arthur stopped asking his question and peered at the situation before them. Two armored guards, and many people laying on the ground. A frown spread across Caroline’s face briefly, then turned into amusement when Osechi tried to make Erin into the decoy, making Erin’s eyes widen in surprise.
“...eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh?!” She quietly squeaked. “I’m not good in a windy place like this! I might hurt one of those people on the ground!” Erin told Osechi. Luckily, Arthur walked up and gave her another excuse to not rush in. Her attention was then drawn to Caroline...who appeared to be doing stretches that clearly indicated her body was unnaturally stretchy, Caroline twisting her back 3 times in a corkscrew, then releasing it back to normal. The doll flashed a smile at Dan and Erin as she walked up to them.
“Heeeeeey...I need a favor from you two.” She said quietly, holding out her hands. “...hold my hands, and stay as still as possible. Can you two lovely people do that for me?” Caroline asked, Erin staring right into the snake doll’s amazing eyes. “Well that doesn’t sound bad at all.” Dan rubbed his hands together to warm them up before extending one to Caroline. Erin also extended her hand out. “...I mean...sure.” She said awkwardly. Caroline smiled at the two of them and took their hands...then began to walk backwards. Her arms began to stretch the further back she went, Erin digging her heels into the snow so she wouldn’t be shot toward Caroline. Finally, Caroline jumped up and, using the momentum she had created, shot herself toward both guards with her knife out.
When she got close enough, Caroline would attempt to slash into the neck of one of the soldiers, while extending her leg out to drive it into the other’s helmet, hoping to knock him straight into the ground. “Having fun yet…?” Caroline asked. If both her attacks landed, she would try to stab the neck of the other soldier with her paralyzing venom as well. Back up at the starting point, Erin watched in awe at the attack.
“...I think we should...you know.” Erin pointed toward the action, beginning to run toward it to try and help Caroline should they not be knocked out that easily.

That's not the way to treat a Lady, you know? - The angel pouted. He stepped before his team. Plucking some feathers from his wings the angel made powder from them, and blowed it towards his companions. The next thing he did was to summon a pentagram, he divided it and make it cover the others before turning invisible.
That should be fine for you. Powder to hide your smell, a pentagram to keep you safe... for at least an hour - The angel said - The shield would be useless if you still smell like tempting snacks for those adorable babies! - He said, excited to see the dinosaurs, it was his first time seeing them. He wasn't extremely old like most of his siblings, when he was born there were humans walking the Earth. He even felt jealous to listen to his brothers talking about the big animales of the past.
He thinks you asked him like if you were belittling him - Vladimir warned Aaron - He doesn't look like it, but he is quite prideful of his abilities... never train with him

“They’re not dinosaurs.” Jun casually corrected Aaron. More pterosaurs were coming to check them out and she gazed at them in wonder. Realizing she was staring, she coughed and looked away. When Gallerian cast his magic, they thinned out and Jun had to hide her disappointment. The rest of the ride was not as dull as she feared. Slowly the world began to brighten, a dim glow that burst into violent radiance when they descended from the tunnel of the hole into a cavern of seemingly infinite proportions. The light came from the massive, twisting roots stretching down from the cavern’s roof far before them, a tangled web of treeflesh that stretched all the way to the ground below, naturally leading Jun’s eyes down. She saw an expanse with every possible terrain, from oceans to grasslands to dense forests.
And even from here, she could see them. Dinosaurs roamed.
Thin necks rose above the treetops. Beasts of armor and horn walked across the plains. Things long-extinct gambooled in the waves. Jun stared in awe as they passed through the crown of the forest and came to the ground. Sounds filled the air, alien yet familiar. “Let’s get this over with.” Jun kept as stony a face as Wilson as they stepped off the elevator. He moved with the expert steps of a woodsman, avoiding any small twigs that might give their presence away. “We should stick to the woods as much as we can. The larger dinosaurs will avoid the denser parts.” Jun suggested as they went deeper.
“After Santa? That is a hell of a way to paint what’s going on here.” One of the strange soldiers complained. “Get down!” The other yelled as Caroline came flying like a javelin. She dove to avoid Caroline’s slash, leaving her partner to be smashed to the ground. “Damn right, Erin!” Dan flashed a thumbs up as he went soaring over the hill. The standing enemy fired a single bullet at his chest and he went down, rolling off the hill. “Get rid of that cover!” The one on the ground ignored Caroline’s knife as it bounced off his neck armor and rose, firing three rounds at her chest.
The other nodded and her pistol vanished. It was replaced immediately by something absurd, a weapon that resembled an Apollo-era rocket with an open front. She hefted it in both hands, turning it on the hill they hid behind. It fired and the hill turned into dirt, steam, and a shockwave carrying both of them at everybody behind it. The one who fired it went sliding back, leaving a ten-foot trail in the snow. “Cover cleared.” She intoned.

Gan was in awe, what in the world was going on in here? The moment he looked at the armored creatures he couldn't help but think it would be great to tame them.
"Looks like you know a thing or two about these creatures...It's a shame the big ones probably won't make it to the denser parts of the jungle."- He told Jun, unable to hide just how much he wanted to interact with the larger ones.
The moment he stepped out of the elevator, Gan surrounded his body with a minuscule layer of Ki, the barrier was almost imperceptible to the naked eye, and it wouldn't block any damage whatsoever, but it would keep his shoes and clothes clean.
"Even though this isn't the Siberian taiga, my heart cannot wait a second more to be back in the wild."- He said as he moved forward with the dexterity of a hunter, his gloves disappeared into thin air as he quickly followed after Jun
"Let us begin"- He told Aaron and the others with a confident smile on his face.
"Nah, they'll be fine! I'm sure they can win without us!" - Osechi said with a big smile as she looked at the action unfold from the safety of her cover.
Her amusement ended abruptly when she saw the rocket launcher aimed at her.
"huh...well that literally looks like a bit more than I can chew"- She quickly bolted out of the way in order to avoid the blast area. The explosion was poweful enough to send her flying face first into the snow, Osechi slowly got up from the ground as she looked at the soldier that had just fired at them.
"That actually hurt you know?! Since you are clearly not being nice, I'm gonna help you become a lil bit more tender"- She said as she extended her hand and a silver meat tenderizer the size of a warhammer appeared, Osechi ran with great speed towards the soldier and swung with impressive dexterity at her, it was almost as if the oversized battlehammer weighed next to nothing on her hands.

Arthur had assumed his distraction would let his companions sneak around back and attack. Caroline had a different idea. He couldn't call her approach bad necessarily; it was a decent shock tactic. It didn't end up being that useful in the end since they managed to pull out a giant rocket launcher and destroy the rock the others were hiding behind.
"Shit." There was nothing Arthur could do about it now. He had to hope the others could handle it. He was most worried about Dan now, he wasn't sure just how depowered he was right now and taking a bullet to the chest wasn't the best way to test it out. Right now though, he had to make sure no more rockets like that were fired.
The snow that piled behind the rocket woman after she slid back jumped out to consume her and solidify into ice while Arthur launched himself forward to punch her in the face. While Caroline dealt with the other, perhaps more lethally, Arthur figured they could use the other to get more info. --- There were far more than just flying rats skulking around. This underground place was a proper jungle with all kinds of mean dinos, big and small alike. The girl recommended they stick to the denser parts of the jungle to avoid the former.
"You sure the big ones are the problem, horns? Velociraptors are supposed to be the dangerous ones." Aaron drew on his knowledge of Jurassic park reruns that he watched with his siblings. Not like he had other sources for something bizarre like dinosaur land.
It didn't matter though. The guy in the suit apparently got in touch with his animalistic desires and ran off after Jun. Aaron wasn't gonna stop 'em though. He ran after them, eager to end this already.

A wave of dread washed over Caroline when she felt her knife didn't slide into the helmet, indicating it didn't have an obvious weak point there. "...oh dear." She muttered. While getting her bearings again, Caroline managed to dodge 1 of the bullets coming at herself, but the close distance allowed the other 2 to rip straight through her, knocking the snake doll back a few feet at the force. Strangely though...no blood could be seen coming from the wounds. A deep frown could be seen on her face when she saw Dan get shot right after her.
"...now...you'd best hope that man is still alive..." Caroline's voice became deeper, eyes more menacing than before. Suddenly, the doll whipped her arm out and grabbed onto the soldier's right arm, pulling herself closer and using her legs to try and sweet the man's out from under himself, aiming to knock away the rifle and wrap her arms around his own. Caroline then brought her foot up to begin pressing down upon the soldier's back, her arms beginning to twist his own.
"I like to think I am a reasonable person...so how about you tell your partner to stand down...and you might just walk away with your arms intact, big boy." She whispered into his ear, twisting more to punctuate the threat.
---
"Yeah...without us..." Erin said with disappointment. Caroline of course was the coolest one...going straight in and attacking one of them. Her eyes then widened as the other soldier took out a giant rocket and aimed it at herself and Osechi. "...crap crap crapcrapcrap!" Erin began to repeat as she began to run away from the blast, the explosion knocking her off her feet and sending her face-first into the snow. Luckily, she did get far enough away that it didn't damage her too much.
Looking up at the snowy landscape around her, Erin let out a groan and stood back up, dusting the snow off her jacket. "Uuuuuugh...darn it!" She let out, jogging toward the battlefield. Seeing that Caroline was too close to one of the soldiers, and both Arthur and Osechi were dealing with the other, Erin decided to jog over to see how Dan was doing. "Hey uh...you alright?" Erin asked, looking down at him, while keeping an eye on the two soldiers, ready to dodge at a moment's notice.

Gallerian let out a chuckle - Seems you guys are excited as well. This reminds me of the kids in the cinema when I went to see Jurassic World!
You saw that one? It's good - Vladimir commented, following Jun, Wilson and Gan - Oh, and velociraptors are fast, small and work in groups... that's what I remember from Jurassic Park... they are way dangerous than a T-Rex
I went with Derek and Thomas, oh, that's Derek's little brother - The angel commented, knowing that Vladimir would ask about the prince whereabouts - The prince left the Kingdom when he was 12, he ended up in Austria being adopted by a family.
I-I see... Why did Christopher leave? - The ex-paladin asked worried and concerned
The Queen ordered to kill him, he couldn't do nothing but escape. He used follet magic to do so - Gal replied. Making sure their steps weren't too loud to attract some animals - How strange for you to call him like that, no one does
W-Well... Back then Ela wanted a name... I suggested her Christopher, she said it was awful then named the Prince Derek... still she used it - He said with a sad smile on his face. Gallerian could notice, even if he wasn't looking at him, the angel could tell the other cared for both mother and son...

“Please, it’s just common sense.” Jun’s facade was immediately broken by Aaron and Gallerian basing their knowledge of velociraptors on Jurassic Park. “Velociraptors were the size of turkeys. What you’re worried about is a Utahraptor, or a Dakotaraptor, or something along-” “I saw something.” Wilson said and pointed. Jun caught the tail end, just a flash of russet brown. “Those lines.” She finished, hand on her sword.
The others would be able to spot them now too, brief glimpses of things in the brush, red flesh and brown feathers. Jun watched these movements carefully, waiting for the creatures to approach. Instead, a volley of crossbow bolts came ripping through the leaves. Jun scaled up her body and they futilely shattered. Wilson ducked and weaved, cold eyes on the trees. “Permission to shout?” He whispered. “Not just yet!” Jun called, ready for another barrage.
Snow became ice and ice became a prison, keeping the soldier still. She didn’t have time to fire again before Arthur and Osechi blitzed her, sending her flying with a one-two combo of hammer and fist. She went sprawling in the snow, faceplate dented. “Sir! My medal-” She was able to choke out before her armor faded, leaving a regular human woman in white military fatigues. A little disk fell in the snow by her side. “Ah, shit.” The remaining soldier struggled, but Caroline had him bound tight. “I surrender! I surrender! Let me go!” He yelled, similarly dropping his armored form.
Erin found Dan on his hands and knees. “I’m fine!” He gasped, peeling a flattened bullet off of his jacket. He grimaced and stood, clutching his side. More and more he resented the loss of his powers. He could have tanked that shot easily with his old strength. Now, he was pretty sure at least one rib was broken. “Arthur, I need-” He hesitated, ego beating his sense over the head. Asking for healing help admitted that Dan was injured and called into attention how useful Arthur was. The next moment, common sense resumed control and he winced. “I need a quick patch-up.” He admitted.

Osechi dragged her hammer through the snow as she moved yet again towards the disarmed soldier, the cold in the air made her white skin redden slightly with every breath she took. As she got to where the female soldier was, she lifted her weapon in the air with both hands
"Time to say night night, okay?"
She swung the hammer down aiming for the head.
Gan slightly chuckled when he was proven right, most people's knowledge of dinosaurs came from hollywood media after all.
As the volley of crossbow bolts came towards them, Gan deflected the projectiles by strenghtening his Ki barrier, he quickly took a step in front of Jun and unholstered both of his guns.
"Is everyone ok? get ready for the next attack"
The warrior heightened his senses to the max, ready to shoot at the slightest sign of movement.
"I need someone covering our six, I don't have eyes on my back"
Gan quickly glanced through the team memebers and chose Gal, he was the only one with a frame wide enough to do a proper cover. Gan signaled him to move right behind him.

The two soldiers were handily handled. The one Osechi and Arthur dealt with lost her armor and seemed fairly powerless without it. Caroline bound the other soldier and he surrendered without much of a commotion. While they handled the soldiers, Erin found Dan injured and in pain. Dan called over to the ice mage. He seemed to be having trouble asking for help (Arthur assumed his hesitation was related to his embarrassment over being depowered), but he did it anyway.
"Sure thing, buddy. You should be more careful though, considering your current state." He chanted something under his breath, snapped his fingers, and cast a healing spell on Dan. He'd not noticed Osechi approaching the woman with her hammer until she uttered her statement. His eyes grew wide for by the time he'd noticed her, the hammer was already poised above Osechi's head.
Arthur shot forward with enough speed to make a bullet jealous. The soldier felt a tug. Osechi's hammer struck snow. And Arthur glared at the god angrily.
"What do you think you're doing?" he shouted. "She lost her armor, you can't go attacking her like that. You could've killed her. She's harmless now, see?" He pointed to the woman he was holding who had shackles of ice growing around her arms and legs. "Plus, she might know something we don't." --- Velociraptors were the size of turkeys? Fuck, who decided that dinosaurs needed to get ruined? Robert would be very disappointed if he heard that. Aaron couldn't respond before the Native American warned them something was nearby. Aaron activated Asmodeus in preparation. Just in time too since the bolts started flying in. Several hit Aaron who was protecting his face The sharp points just barely pierced his empowered form so the shafts stuck out like porcupine spines. He tore them out of his chest and looked up towards the trees, slowly backing up so he was back-to-back with the rest of the group.
"Where did they came from?" He was ready to rush in as soon as he saw where the arrows were being shot from.

Strangely, the two soldiers seemed to ‘fall’ much easier than Caroline expected. Her eyes narrowed at the man she was holding, relaxing her hold and locking her arms under his to prevent him from reaching for anything on his waist. She was about to start interrogating him...when she spotted Osechi walking toward the female soldier with her hammer out. “Hey, hold on!” Caroline called out, about to extend out one of her arms...when Arthur thankfully flew in and saved the other soldier.
Breathing a sigh of relief, Caroline turned her attention to the man in her grasp. A short, muscular man with purple hair and a purple beard. Her snake-like eyes peered at him intently. “Nooooooow…” She cooed, her voice projecting a subtle amount of menace. “Here’s what’s going to happen...you’re going to be a good boy and tell us who you are...who you work for...and why you’re here. In that order.” Caroline’s gloved hand ran down the side of his neck slowly.
“And if you try to resist…” Caroline extended her neck so he could see her face, and flashed a set of long fangs inside of her mouth. “...let’s just say I have some fun things I’d love to try on a strapping man such as yourself. Now how about showing some Christmas spirit and make this little snake happy, hm?” She said, narrowing her eyes once more and flashing a sinister smile.
---
Erin rolled her eyes when she saw Dan clutching his side, then getting healed by Arthur. She too was surprised at Osechi’s sudden brutality, and similarly relieved when Arthur stepped in. Any idea she had of drawing Osechi with Kirby’s head had now flown out the window. “Yeah...I’m sure you’re fine.” She mumbled to Dan. Why would he ever think charging in headfirst would be a good idea?! Letting out a sigh, Erin walked over to where Caroline was holding the other soldier and folded her arms, waiting for him to answer Caroline’s question.

In the moment the attack begin, Vladimir knew he should do something. Gallerian wasn't caring of others if they weren't the prince or someone he cared... maybe if...
With that black hair and blue eyes, you two look like mother and son! - He said way scared than actually convinced.
The angel blushed immediatly. Forming a dome barrier, big enough to have everyone inside it. Vladimir moved to cover himself as well, dodging the attacks as he teleported.
Sorry for saying that - He apologized to Gan - but this guy doesn't take things seriously if his master isn't around. You have to play to take advantage of him, sorry...
The angel observed the surroundings, his cheecks still flustered from Vladimir's words... well, it was true that Gan had only those features... but they weren't similar at all... yet... he pouted, the angel wanted to be said that when Derek or Thomas were around, why he got to finally hear that but with a stranger! He needed to find out from where these arrows were coming... he'll punish Vlad later for his words

Jun smiled when Gan covered her. “I appreciate the effort, but I don’t need anybody’s protection.” She retracted some of the scales defending her body when Gallerian’s dome went up. “I can’t attack.” Wilson complained when it came up. “Perhaps you don’t have to. Whoever is out there, we have no interest in causing you harm! We are simply passing through!” Jun called out into the woods. There were several seconds of silence, but just when Jun gave up hope of a response, it came. “You entered our woods without permission! We will pay ourselves with a few scraps of your flesh!” A voice came, high and piercing.
Aaron would likely recognize just what it belonged to. As the elves had said, there were less savory fae underground. “Well that’s not going to happen. I would suggest you leave before we slay you.” Jun drew her sword just as a noise came from the dome of the shield. She looked up to see a nightmare. It was feathered from the back of its neck to its toes, but it was clearly not a bird. A mouth full of teeth, surrounded by fleshy meat-curtains for lips. Its face was like raw hamburger, a red maze of wrinkles and carunkles. The dome cracked under its weight and the job was finished by a stabbing spear that came from above.
The monster fell through right at Aaron, revealing just how massive it was. It nearly met him in size, and the mouth that went snapping for him was longer than his forearm. Two more for every fighter came running from the trees, attacking in pattern. One hung back, diminutive rider striking with a spear. The other lunged, trying to jam their massive toe claws into the necks of the heroes.
Dan sighed as his rib mended. That was a relief. What wasn’t a relief was Osechi’s behavior. Arthur had already yelled at her, but he wanted to give her his two cents as well. “I don’t know how they do it with the Musashi, but we don’t kill people who aren’t fighting! I try my best not to kill anybody!” He kept his eyes on her while Caroline interrogated the commanding officer. “Sir, don’t tell her anything!” The subordinate yelled. “I will tell you nothing.” He stared, unflinching, into Caroline’s eyes. “Nothing, you say!?” A baritone voice chimed in. The brown figure the soldiers had pinned down had risen from the snow.
Dan blinked in confusion at just what he was looking at. It looked like a knight, but the armor he was wearing was made of gingerbread. Lines of frosting covered him in loops and whorls, resembling the most elaborate etchings on late medieval armor. “Who… what…” Dan rubbed his eyes, not quite sure he was actually seeing this. “I am the Jolly Gingerbread Knight!” The stranger yelled proudly. “Santa’s finest agent!”

Was the old man trying to piss both him and Gallerian off by calling them mother and child? the angel had the frame of a linebacker and looked just around his age. When was the last time anyone called him a child anyway? by age 10, everyobody stopped referring to him as one. Gan ignored Vlad's apology. From where he came from, that was as good as anyone could hope to get.
"We all need one another, miss Li."- Gan replied confidently without losing track of the situation, he looked back ever so slightly just to see her.
"Besides, It's a good excuse for me to stay close"
As the monsters finally attacked, Gan swiftly aimed at the ones that went after him and discharged both weapons in an attempt to supress their offense. Right after that, he holstered both guns and took a fighting stance similar to Karate with an open palm on front. If the monsters still felt like attacking after having been riddled by bullets, he would punch straight at them with a Ki enhanced seiken, the damage area of that strike would cover at least everything in his field of vision.
Osechi's eyes widened when her hammer missed the target, she looked up only to see a very pissed off Arthur. The shinto tilted her head sideways in confusion but after listening to him and Dan she sighed.
"No no, she shot at me first, you see?"- she said while pointing back at the crater left behind by the explosion.
"She could have killed me for like a week with that thing, I, on the contrary, was just gonna slightly crush her head, so she would have only died for like half a day, y'know? I may not look like it but I'm actually very careful when killing people"
The chef god stopped explaining and nearly went in shock the moment she noticed the gingerbread man. Her mouth watered almost too much at what was basically the most incredible christmas snack of all time. She quickly ran up to meet him and stretch his hand.
"oh my god you look absolutely delicious! I'm a big fan of gingerbread you see? let me tell you, you definitely are the most scrumptious thing on two legs ive ever seen!"

My, my~ Cuties why would you want human flesh? Cows are tastier and softer... talk with the guys up there or just ask me! - The angel said. Anyone that worked with different types of meat could know with just a glimpse conparing the species. He never ate human flesh but considering human's shape and structure they would need a lot of seasoning to make them tastier... while cow or pork meat with just a bit of garlic, salt and parsley already tasted good.
However, when the creature fell down the angel immediatly summoned his axe. Massive in form, almost his own size. No human could carry it by its weight too, not even a driaochta.
Vladimir summoned his spear as well. He and Gallerian made new pentagrams to push the creatures from the rest of the team.
Gallerian plucked some of his wings, changing its shape into sharp fragments of diamond. Thesr were still feathers, they'll burnt if something... yes!
Tiulipe! - The angel called the other when he threw the modified feathers at the monsters
Tá, Máistir! - The other agreed, Irish escaped from his mouth. The ex-paladin used his spear; landing his thunder spell into the feathers to burn them, with his free hand he compressed the air to make them explode.
Check your posture, you're forcing your back - The angel corrected him
Gallerian, not now... - The other complained as well

Osechi’s explanation made both Erin and Caroline stare in confusion, Erin’s jaw practically slack. “You...how...do you not know that people die when they are killed?” She asked, suppressing a desire to grin at the dumb joke. Then the realization came that nobody would know what she is talking about and the HWIC agent let out a sigh. “But uh...yeah, she probably wouldn’t come back if you smashed her head in. Most people don’t.” Erin tried to explain.
While Erin tried to explain the concept of death to a god, Caroline focused her attention squarely on the knight that had emerged from the ground, a look of pure joy on her face. “...oh...my god.” She said with amazement. This was a knight...with gingerbread armor! She wanted to go over and start chatting him up right then...but the weight of the commanding officer in her hands snapped her back to reality. Why did she have to be mean now?
“...trying to resist me, huuuuuuuuh?” Caroline coo’d, moving her hand to begin searching his pockets for any clues. Quickly she found a wallet. Flipping through, she would quickly find an identification card. “Sergeant James Marsden, Stockholm division” it read before a long identification number. The lack of any real information annoyed Caroline, who deposited all his weapons he found into the snow and scooped up the medal he was holding, examining it.
“So what is this thing that makes you all so...interesting?” She asked, holding it up for the group to see. Erin walked over and picked up the medal that the female soldier dropped. It was little more than an iridescent disk made of unknown stone, but there was clearly power to it. Erin waved it toward the others, then at the gingerbread knight. “Uuuuuuh...you know anything about these things?” She asked, not knowing what to think of this person.

Arthur was utterly baffled at Osechi's statement. Kill her for a week? Crush her head so she'd die for half a day? There was clearly more to the glutton than met the eye. If he had to guess, she was an immortal since birth so she didn't grasp the concept of death. That was dangerous... But he couldn't worry about that now since Osechi went over to the man the soldier's had taken down before. He introduced himself as a "Jolly Gingerbread Knight" and that was a fairly fitting description. His armor was all gingerbread! It was enough to make Arthur worried Osechi would try to eat him when she started getting closer... Well, she didn't jump at him straight away, but an ice cane floated just behind her to grab her collar and pull her back if she did try something like that.
Turning his attention to more pressing matters while the others dealt with gingerknight, Arthur picked up the female soldier and brought her closer to Caroline and the officer, then he put her down into the snow facing away from them. He knelt down to talk with her more easily.
"So, Private... It is Private, right?" He didn't see any dog tags or ID on the woman at first glance. "Private, I'm sure you're not happy about this situation. My friends here are a bit more violent than I'd imagined, as you've probably noticed. But I'd rather we come to an agreement without needing to resort to violence. I imagine you'd like to go see your family in one piece for Christmas too, right? That can be arranged, no problem. But I do need some answers from you first."
The mysterious assailants introduced themselves with some flair. They burst through the dome the angel produced as massive ugly bird-like creatures and went on the offensive. Aaron ducked under the snapping of the first creature's mouth, then tried to backhand its neck with the enhanced strength of Asmodeus. Then he noticed the tiny creatures reading these monsters.
"Goblins... Like we needed more fucking pests. Oy, these riders are pathetic." He told everyone. "Tap 'em and they'll die, all they have is some magic. Horns, are these some dinosaurs they're riding? They don't look like anything I know and the one thing these leprechaun wannabes are good at is animal taming."
