"What was your character's first crush?" Arthur: A half-kitsune he affectionately called "Bushy-tailed princess" he met back when he was 12 and training alongside her. There was even a marriage promise for when they grew older. They've not me since Arthur had to leave at 14.
Loveline: One of her friends in Kings Grammar, unfortunately not the one who had a crush on her.
"Has your character ever been arrested, and if so, what for?" Katsuo: He spent some time in prison due to yakuza-related work. Luckily, it was a minor offense.
Aaron: Not arrested, but go close for threatening a kid that was bullying his brother.
"Your character's most embarrassing moment?" Arthur: In retrospect, the meld with Huntsman. It wasn't that embarrassing at the time, but later he realized that Huntsman might have seen too much in his mind. Plus, it ended with him being naked in front of a lot of people. The thing that was embarrassing at the time it was happening was a risque encounter with a tentacle monster.
Loveline: When one of her friends revealed the huge collection of stuffed toys she owns to a school gossip. Luckily, that stopped being entertaining in a matter of weeks.
Remilia: When she broke down in front of quite a few people in school due to the stress of taking care of her father, her declining grades, the smaller socialization windows caused by the situation. It was one of the factors contributing to her hiding away behind a mask of stoicism.
"If your character was an animal, which animal would he or she be?" Arthur: Wolf, duh.
Remilia: A tiny owl, apparently.
Loveline: Do dragons count? If not, a coral snake because those are close enough.
Matt: A bald eagle.
Katsuo: A turtle of some kind.
Aaron: A honey badger.
What moment made your character cry more than ever before? Happy tears included.
Martha despises being forced to model for Marika. Standing naked in the basement while Marika fiddles with every little thing is humiliating to her.
Dan's first time with Abijah. Even in the avatar state, he found her bizarre praise, the situation of having sex at all, and the ritualistic nature, looked on by the other members of the cult, made it all into a fantastically awful situation.
Jun's first weeks in the USA were marked by mockery for her thick accent, broken English, and odd appearance. There was no specific one moment, it was just a daily torture that made her stay nearly silent in school for several years until her English was perfected.
"Has your character ever been arrested, and if so, what for?"
Martha has so far avoided arrest. She once had the cops called on her for accidentally walking out of a store with a toy train she didn't pay for, but they were talked down by Jane.
Dan was arrested twice. Once was after the Siberia Incident, but long before that, he was nabbed by the police at a fight with a rival gang in a small restaurant. He and the others arrested at the fight served small sentences.
Jun has been arrested a few times on the job, but been released when she used her BHA badge.
"What moment made your character cry more than ever before? Happy tears included."
Martha befriended a mundane child in a park she often plays in. He didn't show up one day, and it was only later that she learned he had been in a car accident. Her sisters were unable to console her. Only the news that he had survived with a broken arm and some stitches cheered her up.
Dan doesn't cry often. Even after his gang was killed, he was too stunned to cry. However, the first day he was in jail after finally being forced out of the avatar state after over a year in it, he broke down and wept for hours.
The end of Jun's long-term relationship left her miserable, crying herself to sleep on and off for months, but Jenifer's disappearance still makes her wake up with wet eyes some days.
"Who's your character's best friend?"
Martha's best friend is her sister/brother Haven, who keeps her on the right track and makes up for her defects.
Dan's best friend is Haruko Miyata, although more out of lack of friends than anything in particular. She's great, but their interests don't really align.
Jun's best friend is Wendigo Wilson, who she saved from a mundane mental hospital and initiated into the BHA, recognizing his potential. He is odd and doesn't express it well, but the two truly care for each other.
