The roc batted its mighty wings and caused gusts of wind that destabilized Arthur in the air. He was used to dodging objects in the air, but there wasn't much he could do against blasts of air. Using a moment between wing flaps, Arthur landed back on the cliff and pinned himself in place with ice lest his small frame sends him flying.
While the group struggled against the wind, Mai started complaining about the bird being there.
"Hey, if you'd waited for us to plan everything out, we could've baited it away!"
Shit, he thought. If they could only hurt the bird, this wouldn't be such a problem. But what could he do now? Let's see... If those wings are its main weapon now, neutralizing them would be best. Clipping them would probably be bad enough for him to get fried. In that case... He just has to freeze them in place! The air next to the roc started cooling down and once its wings were in the right spot the air froze. Hopefully, the roc's wings were now encased in ice and the bird was rendered immobile.

Derek ran towards Gal's side - Bad idea. Gal, spread your wings as much as you can, they are big enough to distract the roc instead of being an easy target - The boy explained immediatly as he observed the giant bird.
The angel did as he was told, trying to flap back his wings to neutralize the air torrent the Ric caused. He continued until Arthur began to freeze the air. The angel of Creation immediatly hid his wings once the animal got caught
Can't you do something to calm it down? - The prince suggested
I'm a bit exhausted to do that... I used most of my energy healing you..
Dammit - The prince replied, unsure about what to do next. Ashlea had to transform in the fake egg... or maybe not, they could just make the creature sleep
Malcom, can't you an Ashlea use a sleeping spell on that Roc?

The roc's strategy to blow the group backwards made Ashlea's eyes widen in surprise. "Oh come on! This is why we needed a plan!" She yelled at Mai's brashness. Why did that idiot have to run in like that?! She couldn't punch her way out of this one, the idiot! Thinking quickly, Ashlea concentrated her mana onto her own appearance and vanished in a flash of light, becoming a strange mole-like creature with extra long claws that she dug into the ground to prevent herself from blowing away. The more aerodynamic body, smaller mass and anchoring prevented her from being blown away like Malcolm, who was saved by Becky thankfully.
Looking down into the ground, Ashlea began to dig into the ground and escaped the winds entirely. Several seconds passed with seemingly nothing happening from her...but Ashlea was tunneling through the ground learning how to work the claws as she went along. When she thought she was far enough out, Ashlea poked her nose out to see the Roc directly above herself. Jackpot.
Leaping out of the hole, Ashlea focused her mana once more and transformed back into a normal human, holding her right arm out and summoning Mimi in the air beside her. "Mimi, go for the wings!" The fire mage yelled. On cue, Mimi attempted to jump onto the Roc's tail feathers and run up its body while Arthur cast his frost spell. No matter the results of it, Mimi would attempt to shred a few feathers off its wings with its long tail, Ashlea hoping to make it less aerodynamic and, therefore, less able to use wind attacks on them.

The Roc screamed in irritation when Mimi began scurrying along its wings, spines shredding feathers left and right. It shook its wings in an attempt to fling the tiny creature off, but in the next instant, they were frozen solid by Arthur. “I… don’t know any sleeping spells that would work on something that big.” Malcolm admitted, untangling himself from Becky’s hairs. The roc seemed confused about how to handle what was going on right now, tilting its head at its moving egg with increasingly erratic back-and-forth movements.
Finally, it screamed again and grabbed at the egg with one grasping talon. The toes were particularly flexible, wrapping easily around the egg and trying to pull it away from Mai. It found an extra foe when Becky came scrambling forward and wrapped her extensive hair round the egg, pulling back to keep it away. “Let go let go!” She yelled at the roc, but it failed to comply, trying to pull its egg away. “What can we do?” Malcolm asked Ashlea, only to realize she was all the way under the roc now. “...oh.” He covered his mouth, shuddering and hoping she would be alright.

Ann gasped as she saw the roc trying to pull the egg away, Mai had absolutely no grip over it, so it was easily taken away up until Becky tried to stop it. Mai's mirror disappeared as the Roc began to struggle against the girl.
With one swift movement, the virtual warrior moved towards her and helped her pull, she planted both feet and reached for her waist.
"Becky! Do not let go of it!"
When the virtual warrior tried to pull and saw no change she knew that they were no match for the beast. The rest of the group had to do something about it while they stalled the creature!
"you two need to show more girl power!, don't you see that bird is already on one foot? Give me some room, I'll help you out on this"- Mai said as she walked in and grabbed Becky's hair in order to pull in as well. The Musashi cleaned up her nosebleed with her shoulder and spat on the ground as she proceeded to transform with perfect warrior.
"We have to throw the bird off balance before we break the egg, so let's all pull at the count of three! you two better not screw up this one, you hear me?, if we push it out of balance, we will win!"
An ominous purple aura enveloped the Musashi, showing she was channeling massive ammounts of Orgone energy within her body, Mai was gonna go for a single pull that would hopefully release the egg out of the creature's Talon.
"One...two..Three!"
with a swift move, Mai violently tugged against the creature, roaring wildlly as she did so.
The inital pull of the Musashi packed so much force behind it, that her feet immediately sank 30cm to the ground, clearly, not even the rock floor could take her raw power. At the same time, Ann also had entered perfect warrior, she violently kicked against the ground as she tried to help Becky gain leverage over the egg.

Ashlea stared in disbelief at the display before her. Becky, Mai and Ann were all pulling at the delicate egg with the Roc, and she was standing right next to the creature! “Oh please don’t break...then the baby is dead and all of this would be for nothing…” The fire mage muttered to herself. What could she possibly do that wouldn’t hurt the Roc, but also make it let go of the egg?
Looking up, a small smile spread across Ashlea’s face as an idea dawned on her. “Banshee songbird...here I go.” She said out loud, focusing her mana once more and disappearing into a dim flash of light, a strange grey bird flying out from where she stood. The bird had strange grey feathers that trailed behind it like dirty cotton fibers, its head rounded on the top and beak a short orange triangle. The somewhat awkward flying indicated Ashlea wasn’t used to flying like a bird yet.
Once she approached the Roc’s right ear, she took a deep intake of air and closed her beak. From 4 tiny holes in the beak, a loud, shrill scream rang out throughout the area. The sound did rememble a banshee’s cry, just a little more bearable. Ashlea hoped to use its cry like the creature in wild; to drive away predators from their positions...though she was using it in a more offensive fashion than was was normal, as banshee songbirds typically used their scream to drive away predators from their nests in a comparatively defensive manner.

The prince bitted his lip. He was the only one doing nothing, and the pain was slowly coming back... The Musashi could handle the situation by themselves as Ashlea demonstrated she could attack the Roc as well... Becky wasn't letting go of the egg...
Teleporting under the bird, the Driaochta began to make fire appear in his palms, the fire growing bigger and bigger hopping to make the Roc fall more quickly, if the pain could distract it from its grip and even make it retreat. He didn't have faith it'll leave the nest...
Or maybe he could... making the fire growing wild the boy controlled it to make it as big as he could.
The Angel by other hand went towards Malcom - Maybe we should step back a little... - A bit worried

Arthur was quite pleased with his handiwork. Combined with Ashlea's fire cat, they prevented the wings from causing those dangerous winds and probably grounded the bird without angering the god. But seeing the bird grabbing at the egg and desperately trying to pull it away made something click in Arthur. He suddenly felt really bad for trying to steal its unborn child, the pangs of guilt stabbing at him like fire rods. The egg didn't register as a kid, obviously or he wouldn't have been able to cook anything with eggs, but the desperate tug of war between the roc and the girls made Arthur connect with it in a way he hadn't with the other animals.
He didn't want to stop his teammates when they were so close to getting it, but he didn't feel like he could participate in it himself. If nothing else, he thought, it deserves a means of getting away from Derek's flames and Ashlea's wailing. The ice on its wings disappeared so it could fly away.

Despite Mai and Becky working together, the egg was lifted away, slowly but inexorably. The roc was winning. Then came Ashlea and Derek. Ashlea’s scream startled the roc into releasing the egg. The roc angrily snapped at the tiny creature flying at its ear, nearly falling over from its sudden shift in balance. Only its wings being thawed prevented a total collapsed, a few flaps keeping it upright. The winds stirred again and they were pulled back to create another mighty gust when Derek started igniting his flames.
The roc screamed in consternation, backing away. It cocked its head to look at its wide array of foes and with a final scream, jumped off the cliffside and glided up and away. “Off the cliff now!” Becky called, helping Mai up. “Off the cliff? But-” Malcolm looked up at the distantly circling roc. “Ashlea, come here, I can featherfall us! Anybody else who needs it too!” Malcolm sparkled with magical energy as he approached the cliff edge.

Success! The Roc was disoriented by her shout into its ear! Ashlea hurriedly flapped away just in time to avoid the Roc's snap at her, which would have split her in half if it managed to land. Ashlea landed back onto the ground and turned back into her human form, dusting off her shirt and looking up triumphantly. "Looks like we got it! Or..." Her eyes widened as she saw it circling around once more, followed by Malcolm calling her name. She immediately rushed over and began to pull him toward the edge. "Anyone who needs a featherfall, come here now!" The fire mage called out to them.
Looking Malcolm in the eyes, and motioned toward the cliff. "Ok, just let me know when you've cast it and we can get out of here! We do NOT want to stick around this place!" She rapidly stated, glancing back up at the Roc that was circling around them.

Mai accepted Becky's help, but she still had a death stare set on Arthur. The moment Becky called for retreat Mai ran towards Malcolm, she made sure Becky was following as well since she was carrying the main prize.
"Just do the damn spell already!"- The Musashi called while attempting to push Malcolm off the edge. before the Musashi made the jump, she gave the finger at Arthur
"Fuck off, Arthur! That was a dick move! If I ever get my hands on you I'll beat the living crap out you!"
Ann jumped by herself, knowing she was nearly invulnerable to fall damage.
"Don't waste your strength on me, Malcolm! I'll see you guys at the bottom! And don't threaten Arthur you hear me?!"-She replied as she threw herself off the cliff.

Ashlea's scream frightened the bird off and it left the egg behind. It giving up saddened Arthur, but at least it tried. On the bright side, they had the egg and he didn't have to feel bad about anything else now. When everyone started hurling themselves off the cliff, Arthur joined Ann and Mai in the freefall.
"Hey!" He complained when Mai gave him the finger. "If I didn't give it a way out, you'd still be playing tug of war with it! Or worse, Derek would've burned it to a crisp and then the god would've roasted us! You should be thanking me, Musashi!"

I'm not shape to burn anything unless I burn myself - The prince commmented to Arthur - I can control my flames appearance and what to burn
Derek observed as how everyone went down the cliff with their own ways, feeling his body getting worse he reached for Gallerian, allowing him to possess him once again. Of course, the angel accepted happily. Appeareance changing once again, he opened his wings
I can carry two people with me! - The angel commented proudly using the blonde's body - Oh... and where did Tsum-Hunt went? He got sent flying somewhere else... I hope he is ok
With his wings ready, the angel waited for someone to stick with him. For a mere second he glanced towards the Musashi that already left, he couldn't evade to smile knowing that that girl was his prince's type... He needed to tell Chloe immediatly, maybe she'll be interested to play Cupid as well~

Malcolm yelped when pushed, but Ashlea joined him before he toppled over. He squeezed her tight as they toppled over. There was a white flash and their speed was halved. Glowing white feathers appeared around them, fluttering in the eddies of wind around them. “I’m glad you’re with me.” Malcolm had his eyes tightly shut against the fall. Ashlea could easily feel his heart pounding against her chest as he hugged them together as hard as his scrawny arms could manage.
The crashing waves below rushed up to meet the falling adventurers. The first to jump would see their target rising from the waves; the boat they had ridden in on breached the water prow first. It wobbled dangerously when Mai and Becky landed with the egg. “Woah! Have roc egg!? Are insane!?” The captain screamed from the wheel. The waves splashed up over their feet as the boat rocked slowly back into a safe position. Something else dropped a second later, splattering on the boat floor. The broken blob raised a crooked neck and hissed.
“Move, fool! Before it starts dropping rocks on us!” Huntsman yelled, pulling himself back into a vaguely recognizable shape. As soon as the last dropping egg-hunters landed, the captain obeyed, peeling out of the harbor, leaving behind the roc’s wails and the island’s dangers. Soon they entered the fog that ringed the island and the sight of the sun vanished. They emerged on the other side into the darkness of night, back at the Straits of Gibraltar.
“We did it!” Huntsman declared, running around Becky’s feet while she chirped her whistled and twirled her baton. “Egg Day is the best!” Becky agreed as the boat stopped. “Off! All are insane! Never shadow my boat again!” The seaweed creature yelled, his boat leaping off the water to fall straight down under it, like a whale breaching. “Whatever! We’ve got the eggs! The only question is where to have the picnic.” Huntsman flicked his tail. “Picnic! Picnic!” Becky twirled her baton all the harder.

"...how about their shop?"-Ann said as they stormed for ideas. Since they were HW, their installations were probably the most suitable.
"I'm fine with whatever, so long as we're having breakfast within the next hour, my back is killing me."-Mai replied as she stretched around.
Mai looked at Arthur's back for a moment and smiled as she hugged him from the back, she ended up getting what she wanted so apologizing was the least she could do.
"I...might have misjudged you, you actually were pretty cool back there"- she ended up saying as she kissed him on the cheek.
"Sorry for being rude I guess..."-was the last she said as her hand played with a strand of his hair before she moved away.

There was a brief moment of panic when Malcolm didn't immediately cast the featherfall spell, Ashlea about to start channeling her mana to turn herself into a large bird before she felt both of them slow down. "Phew...scared me there for a moment." Ashlea said with relief in her tone. Despite the featherfall spell...she still couldn't look down at the ground, absolutely hating heights. So instead, the fire mage looked straight ahead and lightly patted the back of Malcolm's hair. How did he have such soft hair without doing anything to it?!
"Yeah...I am glad I came with you on this dumb trip." Ashlea said, rolling her eyes. Despite her annoyed tone...she did have fun on this trip. Without a word, she turned to Malcolm and smiled. "But...it was a fun...dumb trip." She then leaned forward and gave him a quick kiss on the lips. When they got together a few years ago, Ashlea wouldn't even try to show this level of affection in public...but now she felt comfortable enough doing so.
When the boat, Ashlea released Malcolm and grabbed onto the side to keep steady while the captain peeled out of the area. "Well, looks like you weirdos lost that way back into the island. Good going." She said with sarcasm. Turning to Ann, Ashlea nodded her head. "That sounds wonderful. Malcolm and I will be there...sometime. Here, we can arrange stuff later if you want." Taking out a small piece of paper and pencil, Ashlea scribbled her name and number down on it with strangely elaborate cursive. When she handed it to Ann, Ashlea turned back to Malcom.
"Now...I think you logged enough hours for the next day, I'm sure Huntsman and Eve would agree." She shot a sideways glance at Huntsman. "Soooo...how about we take some of these eggs and you can show me what you can do with them?" With a smile, Ashlea took out a teleport scroll and prepared to send both of them back to her house.

Arthur was relieved when they landed back on normal land. The Roc apparently wasn't angry enough to pursue them off the island. Or maybe it couldn't, no matter how hard it wanted to?
The group started thinking of ways to celebrate their success. Becky suggested a picnic. That had its appeal. Becky always did prefer the outside so she was more likely to join in on the fun. On the other hand, the cafe was a lot more convenient.
"We could eat at the cafe now and prepare food for a picnic after that. With there's a nice blue sky overhead, preferably."
While he waited for everyone to settle on something, Mai approached and kissed him on the cheek. She apologized for threatening him in a very flirtatious manner which left him more weirded out than interested. The mood shift from angry threats to cheerful flirtations was just too jarring.
"Er, thanks. Apology accepted I guess." He didn't return her interest and he hoped that wouldn't cause more anger.

Once they returned, the angel and the prince unfused. Only Gal apologized to the captain it seems... He at least wanted to come next year with Chloe, so he'll think of a disguise for the next time. Derek by other hand yawned at the sudden change of atmosphere. He listened to everyone this time, so he took a few steps forward - Well, things has been said, let's go to Sunny Smile Café Taking one of the cards from his pocket and ripping it in two, the prince summoned a portal - Each card has a portal to the Café, if you need to return to your houses just burn them thinking of that place, pretty Potter like - He explained as he walked, the portal was big enough to let everyone pass through it and once it happened, it clossed. The walls of the Café were pastel blue, black bars with an exotic flower design, small wall lamps that looked like adorable pumpkins, the doors and windows could be easily detected with their bright white. Once they entered the party will find white wooden floors with soft grey carpets, pastel pink seats, white tablecloths, little libraries and silver candlesticks hanging from the roof. Both Gallerian and Derek were wearing their working attires. The prince immediatly let everyone have a seat at the bigger table while Gallerian opened the storage's door to let the Roc Egg enter. I'll call our Chef, I guess she is already here considering the lights are already on - The prince said, acommodating his tie - Let our chef surprise us - And then, he leftFrom the stairs, a woman with straigh red hair and purple eyes walked towards the kitchen, only to stop midway at the presence of the costumers, she knew some faces, some others was a first time. She moved her head as a greeting gesture, once she tried to enter the kitchen, the angel returned making her walk towards everyone - Guys! This is my lovely, adorable, super cute and talented wife! Chloe! - The male angel introduced everyone to his wife, the female angel only gave a irritated glance at Huntsman. She blinked a few times before just saying " Hi" and excused herself to retire to the kitchen, of course, Gallerian following her, before entering the room, he spoke from the door - Oh! Young Malcom, feel free to use the installation if you like, Chloe is a great partner... she is just a bit shy! - He chuckled before leaving them. The prince returned with some drinks, he didn't knew exactly what everyone liked so he put in the table water, juice, wine and whiskey. After doing that he just sat at the table with the others just to join them in any kind of chat they could make, of course, eyes fixated on Ann from time to time. He barely knew her, but that didn't mean he couldn't spend time and get to know her better.
Meanwhile in the Kitchen, two angels were talking over certain prince's "Love Interest". Of course, both of them having different thoughts over the girl.
He barely knows her - The female angel said - No matter how you look at it, he is not the type to easily ask someone for a date or even try something serious - She finished her sentece with a lot of pride, of course, she made sure to teach him not to trust anybody that lightly! The Hidden World could be tricky more for a Royal Prince like him
Ow, C'mon! Don't be that rude! I feel good chemistry between them! - The other responded - The even held hands back in the Island
W-What? Hmp! If its some kind of cave I would get it! Derek never liked dirty, shady places like these - She excused herself, knowing Derek's fear to crampled places that looks like dungeons... But maybe she could be wrong and maybe he could be interested in a girl... it was strange, since he barely cared for a partner... he was the only one who knew best his situation... Maybe he was trying to live like any normal teenager of the outside world? That was... a bit depressing
Oh, you know him very well! - He teased - You really are a good mom for him. So what did you do today that you couldn't come with me?
Making sure Thomas didn't do any reckless things in the Vatican... he was about to argue again about having paperwork and not missions... - She sighed, that child was growing more and more demandant and that was a bit troublesome. But Gallerian never refused to Thomas's whimps
Oh, hehe he likes action, I can't blame him! - And there you have it.
The angels were working together, taking some eggs to make Dinner... Breakfast already? Some desserts and plenty of stuff. Of course, Chloe selected the most nutrious ingredients that could make a descent plate for everyone... while Gallerian picked up the opposite, she won't deny it was tasty, but it wasn't as healthy as her choice.

Both Malcolm and Ashlea stepped through the portal and found themselves inside the cafe. Ashlea slowly strolled around the restaurant, taking in the decorations and silently judging it’s appearance to how she thought a cafe run by angels would have looked like in her imaginations. This certainly seemed more...mundane than she was expecting. Malcolm was significantly more appreciative. He immediately peeked into the kitchen. He had access to everything he could possibly need! Becky handed over the basket of eggs, smiling and gesturing to her mouth. Malcolm nodded and turned to Ashlea. “Want… want to help me cook these up?” He asked her.
The fire mage was snapped out of her inspection by Malcolm’s words. “Uh...sure! Just show me what to do!” She said, speed walking to the kitchen and turning on the sink to wash her hands. “Sooo...you ever work with weird eggs like these before?” She asked, adding the soap to her hands. Malcolm washed his hands with hers and shook his head. “No, but there’s a first time for anything.” He picked up one of the stony-shelled scorpion shells. “Hm. But these I think we can do without.”
The strange eggs did seem almost impossible to cook. “How would you even cook these things…?” Ashlea asked, poking one of the eggs. Shrugging her shoulders, Ashlea took out a frying pan and placed it on the stove. “Alright, time to work your magic!” She said confidently, stepping away to let him work the stove.
A lot of cracked eggs and many minutes later, Malcolm rested dozy and stuffed against Ashlea’s shoulder. He blinked sleep out of his eyes. The sleepy expression made Ashlea chuckle slightly to herself, pushing away the plate of recently-eaten scrambled eggs. “That’s right...it was the middle of the night when they dragged you out! Well...if you want to come to my place, I’m sure that can be arranged.” She said, taking out her phone and texting her dad to confirm. “Your place?” Malcolm blushed, but his lips curled up. “I’d l-like that. Your bed is soft…”
Smiling to herself, Ashlea stood up and helped Malcolm stand. She waved toward Gal and everyone still remaining. “Thanks for letting us use your shop! We’re going to leave now! Bye!” And with that, Ashlea used the tickets and teleported them back to grounds outside her house. A large red dog was there within seconds to greet them, which Ashlea reached a hand down to pet his head. She had to admit...for such a dumb little adventure...it was a little fun.

Everyone gathered at the angels' cafe for breakfast. It was a nice little establishment, finely decorated inside and out. The angel and Derek changed into their uniforms and were joined by another girl. Malcolm and Ashlea also joined in. With so many cooks, there was clearly no need for anyone else to join in, so Arthur sat next to Becky so they could chat while they waited.
Some time later, Arthur leaned back in his chair. He was stuffed. The meal was delicious. The differences between the various eggs were subtle, but noticable. At some point Arthur even turned on Wolf's soul and played a game, trying to figure out what eggs were used for what. Needless to say, he might have gone overboard even though he still had some leftovers. He asked for those to be packaged. Love and Hazel had to try these eggs too! Man, they're gonna have a story to listen to tomorrow. Hey, maybe next year they could come along, too!
