Just in case – The angel said, still on the boy’s body as he used it as he pleased. Smiling and being his bubbly sona, Gallerian happily agreed to Malcom’s response – Everyone! Let’s go for another small round!
Gallerian ran a bit, ready to get into the forest again until he noticed what happened to Huntsman – Oh Father! – He ran towards the team again – Everyone please, get along, we don’t want to make the God angrier than he already is… I know Derek’s deep intentions but... I know it’s his fault, so let’s work together and use the power of friendship! - The man said with pink cheeks as his smile went bigger.
Oh! Before I forget it! – The man took small cards and gave it to everyone except Mai as he already gave her one, and also avoided Huntsman, he didn't seem to be able to grab a card now – Please visit us in our small Café! We’ll be making delicious food with these eggs and you should try them! My wife makes excellent dishes! A-And I’m the manager! – He said nervously, as if everyone already knew he did little to none “real” work.

The fire mage stared at Malcolm as he spoke to her, expression softening when he clarified what he meant. Ashlea let out a small sigh of relief when he was finished speaking. “Ok...I was just making sure. You just sounded a little...weird there.” A small wave of relief went through Ashlea’s body. So he wasn’t losing trust in her after all! Which made sense...they’d been together over a year now, so trust wavering over this stupid mission would be pretty weird for Malcolm. Ashlea shuffled her arms slightly and put her right arm on Malcolm’s shoulder.
“Let’s just...get this over with, huh? You can show me what you can make with these weird eggs we’ve been getting. Of course, I can help if you want.” She said, smiling and kissing Malcolm for a few seconds.
Ashlea’s kiss was interrupted by the boom of heated air coming off the laser that engulfed Huntsman. In a swift moment, she threw Malcolm behind her, arms out to defend against whatever was attacking them. It took her a moment to grasp that this wasn’t some random attack. “Are you alright?” She turned to take Malcolm’s shoulders, looking over her shoulder at the smoking heap that was Huntsman. She couldn’t say she would miss him, but somebody dying on their adventure? Her stomach twisted up inside. It wasn’t like she was having fun, but this was at least supposed to be enjoyable. Her stomach churned far worse when the blasted flesh suddenly lurched. She was close to retching by the time Huntsman was swearing and running around. “Ugh…at least your boss is alive.” She said to Malcolm. Why did he take such a grotesque form?!
The exchange between Ann and Mai made Ashlea chuckle to herself slightly. It was surprising how blunt Ann was allowed to be with Mai, who was apparently some kind of royalty. Being called the second dumbest in the group was clearly not the sugarcoated treatment Ashlea thought royalty got. Ann continues to prove she is the only other competent person in this team aside from herself and Malcolm! She gave a thumbs-up toward Ann before turning toward Gal when he gave her the card.
She looked at the card with interest. This nice man ran a cafe with his wife, and were planning to cook these eggs as well? Ashlea did like visiting various cafes...so it would be nice to at least give Gal’s a shot. She leaned over toward Malcolm, pointing at the card. “By the way...I’d like to visit here sometime. Maybe we should go tomorrow, since we made plans for today?” Ashlea asked, giving Gal an appreciative nod when he finished explaining.

Huntsman took Becky's rejection really well. Suspiciously well. Arthur stayed alert and clicked his tongue when Huntsman lunged.
"So predictable." He got ready to defend himself, but Huntsman was almost instantly smitten by the power of god. Arthur had to take several steps back to about blistering out in the heat.
When the beam of light vanished, Huntsman was reduced to an unsightly creature. Truth be told, Arthur pity towards the new form. But only a tiny fraction of it. The rest of him quite enjoyed the situation. "See, that's your fault, too. But you just can't accept responsibility for your actions, can you?"
Arthur's amusement was interrupted when Ann started dusting him off. "Um, y-yeah. I'm fine." It took him a second to realize she probably thought he was just a kid. He got so used to people quickly realizing he wasn't 15, he completely forgot that not everyone would. Memories of the annoyance he felt when people called him a kid rose up from the depths and he realized Ann didn't cause that feeling right now. Maybe he grew out of it. Maybe it just happens so rarely now his annoyance meter wasn't built up anymore.
"Hey, don't have to worry about me, you know. I'm actually older than you. Probably. I'm 31. So..."

Malcolm blinked when the card was shoved into his hands. “I, uh, okay.” He glanced at it. “It says it’s in Amsterdam. Let’s make it a day trip of it next time I have a day off!” Malcolm bounced with excitement. One of the great European cities, and with his girlfriend to make sure it didn’t get too frightening? He couldn’t imagine anything nicer. Huntsman wasn’t having such a nice time. “Fuck you! This is your fault!” Huntsman yelled at Arthur, running furious circles around his ankles. His voice was reduced to an angry yowling. It was reduced further into a pathetic whine when Arthur walked away to talk to Ann. He scurried away and put his front legs on Becky’s leg. “Carry me! We must get the roc egg!” Becky bent in half and grabbed him around the midsection. His tail waved in pleasure as she walked down the beach.
It stopped when she tossed him into the ocean and turned away. Huntsman wailed like a hurt cat and charged from the water at top speed, lunging onto Malcolm. “You! You will be my steed or you’re fired!” He demanded, climbing onto his shoulder. “Y-yes sir! But do we have to-” “Yes! The roc egg is absolutely necessary! Our trip will not be complete without it!” Huntsman cracked his tail like a whip and the group was lead along again.
The base of the mountain wasn’t far away, just a few hundred meters. They were quickly looking up the sheer slope, wondering how to ascend it. “Well, if Arthur hadn’t gotten me fried, I could fly us up. Ashlea, become a bird!” Huntsman demanded, standing atop Malcolm’s head to loom over her. “Boss, that won’t be necessary. There’s a path.” Malcolm pointed to the right, where a cave hid behind a cluster of impressively thorny bushes. A sign placed haphazardly among the bushes read in bold, crooked letters “UP THE MOUNTAIN”. “Oh. That’ll do!” The group ventured into the cave, finding that there was indeed a path with roughly hewn stairs leading endlessly upwards, but no light source.

The virtual warrior quickly returned the thumbs up at Ashlea while still dusting off the ice mage, it was clear who she could count on! Ann looked at Arthur from head to toe, making sure he really wasn't hurt, it would be just a matter of time before she realized her mistake.
"Thirty...one?!"
Ann was overcome with embarrassment the moment Arthur told her his real age, she did not expect him to be older than her!
"I'm so sorry! I really thought you were younger! 30-year-olds don’t look nearly as cute so...(what am I saying!?) Um...Nevermind!"- She said as she ran the other way only to nearly crash against Gallerian, who immediately gave her his card.
“I...thanks.”- she said without the mood for it as the adventure was really taking a toll on her. Between Mai, Huntsman and the looming threat of being burnt to a crisp, Ann felt a gut-wrenching feeling everywhere she went. She slowly walked back towards Mai, a sad face was all she could put at the moment.
“Hey, why are you looking so gloomy? Look! Apparently, we are gonna head inside a cave! Aren’t those like, your favorites?!”
As soon as Mai let Ann know they were headed to a cave she nearly felt like throwing up. There was always something with caves and tombs...it was almost like a curse
“Mai, can we leave this island, please?! I’m asking you this for real, C'mon...there is not a single cave or tomb I've been to in the last year where I haven’t found myself getting killed!”
Mai simply brushed off her comment as if it were no big deal
“You’ll be fine! I mean, this could be the first cave you survive! Have you actually thought about that? What a fucking pessimist you are! Also, you have your cute little mage to protect you!”-She said while hugging the virtual warrior with one arm across her neck.
“W-what are you talking about!?”-Ann replied as her eyes widened while trying to break away from her grip, which was absurdly strong for some reason. “You called him cute, don’t think I didn’t hear you back there! To think you were into that! you filthy shotacon!” “He is not THAT young! Also, it’s nothing like that! ugh, i hate when you behave like this!"
Ann finally broke away from Mai only to join Ashlea and Malcolm
“S-sorry, is it ok if I stick with you guys for a while? I...really don't like caves…”

Oh! - Gallerian could heard Ann's discomfort in her voice - I can summon magic that would illuminate us if that's the case The angel walked near the couple and Ann, he couldn't avoid chuckle at Huntsman, he got reduced to such a small form... He won't deny that he looked cute in a certain way - You look like a Tsum Tsum - He said trying to hide his mouth with his fingers. However he was excited to meet all of this people one day in his café, he was sure everyone will pay a visit and meet the rest of his party! As they went upstaris, Gallerian felt a bit uneasy as since he didn't had a lot to do, he analized Derek's memories in order to obtain more information. From time to time he blushed at the memories of certain girls, or going to discos, drinking... playing... The boy was almost identical to his mother, same blonde hair, skintone, eyes and even the attitude.
This is so nostalgic - He whispered to himself
A small idea popped in his mind. Maybe he should try analize Derek's DNA so he could track his father! No matter if he was alive or dead, Derek would be happier and be less troublesome if he knew a bit more about himself. He concentrated... he didn't to disarm a lot of dismantle a lot of genetics but... huh? It was blocked? WAIT--
In a mere second the angel got separated from the prince's body. At least he managed to be the one near to falling from the stairs.
Oh Father! - The angel said, keeping his balance - I... - He couldn't believe he got expelled from the body.
What happened? And.. Where are we? - The prince said, pretty awake as he observed his surroundings.
Cave... expedition - The angel said. Astonished.
The prince nodded as he observed Gallerian, it was strange since when Gal possesed him he wouldn't let go for a whole day. Still they had to get more eggs, better try to avoid wasting time so they could leave before the God gets way pissed.

Arthur was amused by Ann's embarrassment, but he didn't get to respond before she ran off back to Mai. So Arthur watched Huntsman pestering Becky again. Arthur frowned until Becky filled him with pride again when she tossed the filthy creature into the water. Not too discouraged, he went over to Malcolm next and abused his position of superiority to make him carry him around to the Roc's mountain. Not wanting to watch Huntsman torturing poor Malcolm anymore, Arthur grabbed Huntsman off of Malcolm's shoulder and put him on his own. Huntsman predictably squirmed, but Arthur's grip was firm.
"You're an asshole, but I kinda feel bad for you anyway so I'll be your taxi. I'll do what you say, but try biting me and you're getting neutered. Scratching and other similar actions also apply. That's castrated AND spayed, by the way."
While he was talking to Huntsman, Derek and Galerian suddenly separated. "Oh boy, you picked the worst time to not give the boy holy protection. Who knows what we're gonna run into in here. That healing you mentioned could've been useful."

When Huntsman jumped up onto Malcolm’s shoulder, Ashlea stared daggers right at the abomination. “Hey! Get off Malcolm n-” Before she could finish, Arthur had dragged the weird cat...thing off of Malcolm and onto himself. A sigh of relief escaped her mouth, relieved that she didn’t have to deal with Huntsman herself. Ashlea rolled her eyes at Huntsman’s earlier suggestion about turning into a bird.
“Me turning into a bird would be idiotic, by the way. Did you see what happened to the armored worm I made earlier?! The roc flew in and picked it up! So you can bet it’d come after me if I transformed into something big enough for everyone to stand on.” The fire mage explained. A confident smile spread across her face when Ann asked if she could join them.
“Of course you can stick with us! I’m sure there’s nothing in there you, the frost mage, the orangutan and your friend there can’t handle.” She states, a brief flash of worry escaping. There was a wide range of creatures that could live in a cave environment, many of them being dangerous predators. But she had to stay strong for Malcolm, and needed to impress Ann! Confidently brushing her hair behind her ear, Ashlea motioned toward the cave.
“If nobody else has a light source, I could make one.” Holding out her hand, the fire mage created a small orb of fire in her palm. The flames shone brighter than normal fires, on account of her manipulating the brightness with her mana. She then snuffs it out, turning to Ann while the others finished...whatever they were doing. “Soooo…” Ashlea interlocked her hands behind her back. “...what’s your deal with caves? Bad experience or something?” Might as well try to make small talk before heading into the cave.

“I can handle light. Dancing lights!” Malcolm called and three glowing spheres materialized in his hands. He tossed them up and they hovered a few feet away from the group, keeping pace with them as they climbed. Even so, he squeezed Ashlea’s hand for comfort as they left the entrance behind and his lights became the only source of light at all. “Uh… maybe we should have some flames too.” He nervously chuckled, cuddling into his girlfriend, away from the dark. “Neutered? You really think I carry around genitals all the time? What the hell am I fucking looking like this!?” Huntsman slithered around on Arthur’s shoulders, climbing without claws like some sort of oversized gecko. He didn’t leave, however, simply climbing up onto Arthur’s head and sitting like some sort of disturbing taxidermy hat. He turned his head 180 to spy Derek rejecting Gallerian, neck craning up for a better look. “You decided to become a burnt offering is what happened!” He mocked, but before he could heap more abuse on the prince, he started sniffing the air.
“Ew.” The others would start smelling it not much later. Anybody who had kept a bird would recognize this smell. This was like a thousand birdcages that had never been cleaned and held too many birds. Another source of light was coming into view around the corner, and soon they turned to face it. The cavern was open and well-lit by the hole in the ceiling. It was ringed with small cliffs and ledges that provided ample grounds for the hundreds of massive bird nests that the room contained, each smeared with filth, filled with discarded feathers, and littered with bones and eggshells. The smell was even worse in here, mixed now with rotting meat.
“Helloooooooo, landbound!” The voice that called was absurd, like a villainous muppet, high and screechy and slurred. The creature it belonged to was not. She was a harpy, sitting in the middle of the cave. Her neck sloped forward like a vulture’s and was wrapped in ribbons of brightly colored fabric that seemed cut from human clothing, but ended in a human head, or at least something close. Her lips were black and crusty, and a similar crust of glop had congealed around her eyes, visible easily even beneath the glasses she wore, lenses knocked out to only retain the purple frames. The neck swung precariously, tilting and turning to look at the people below.
The other bird-women were beginning to jump down, surrounding the group like a flock of pigeons. “Landbound, landbound, let me-” “No, I want to have the-” “Hush, hush!” The harpies jostled in their nests, fluttered above, swarmed on the ground, all decked in various shiny objects or bits of clothing. “This is our cave!” One yelled. “We made the sign so you could find the stairs, for you, riiiiight?” “Yes, yes! Cause mountains are hard for landborn, riiiiiiiight?” A twin pair of harpies called from near the ceiling. “Very hard, so very hard! And all we ask-” “Are for eggs!” “All the eggs!” “Not to be greedy, but we are many!” “And shiny things!” “And pretty things, riiiiiiiiiight?” They chattered and cooed and pressed at the group.
“Not right. Shouldn’t be here.” Becky mumbled, squirming at being crowded by the birds and humans around her. “Yeah, we should run!” Malcolm yelled, holding his egg bag high out of reach. “No, they shouldn’t be here! No people allowed on the island!” Becky managed to communicate before jumping away, landing at the entrance they came through. “Maybe not supposed to-” “But we’re helpful, helpful!” “And we ask for so little in return!” Harpies appeared from behind, trapping her in the cavern. “Kill them! They’re not supposed to be here anyway, you heard Becky!” Huntsman put his face in Arthur’s, not coming down from his head.

"It's not about the lights dammit! I've had traumatic experiences in places like this!" Ann told the mage and the angel as they walked towards the cave, she slightly lifted her shirt revealing a massive scar in her stomach, too big to have actually healed.
"This was done at a tomb in China, a Jiangshi took a chunk off my stomach with its weapon..." "And this"-she said while pointing at her eyepatch "was done by an elder licht...So yeah, I'm not excited to get in there, to say the least."
The virtual warrior shuddered as she remembered the sharp claws that sliced her eye and part of her face, hopefully nothing like that will ever happen again.
Both Mai and Ann entered the cave, the odor was terrible, but nothing Ann hadn't been through before. Mai also had her good share of experience with nasty stuff, as she had been eaten alive by monsters in the past. To either one the smell was mild at best. The Musashi took a deep breath and quickly exhaled, looking at her group.
"Yup, this smells like death alright, I wonder what kind of creatures live here! "
Ann's virtual machine flashed in red the moment she stepped into the cave
-New area discovered, Level Lock activated-
"I knew it! my stupid machine activated the damn level lock!"
It wasn't long after that when the group encountered the harpies, a face of disgust enveloped both Musashi as the creatures spoke. Ann immediately took out an assault rifle, perfectly knowing these things had them surrounded.
"If the worst comes to happen, Just run away, I'll cover your way out"- she told Malcolm and Ashlea, sticking right to their side.
Mai, on the other hand, was far more relaxed, she didn't care about anyone in the group
"Oh please, these things think they can just get OUR eggs?! you are getting none you winged pricks!"
Musashi composed herself as she equipped her armor, she stretched out a little as she positioned herself much like a 100m dash runner
"Well, we gotta get to the top no matter what, right?! so who's gonna stop us? some skinny bitches with hollow bones? these things are nothing to be afraid of! let's fucking go!"
Mai rapidly dashed towards the group of harpies, she aimed to knock them out of the way by charging with her shoulder.

Part of Arthur regretted taking Huntsman. He didn't tend to wear hats and having a living hat weighing at least 2 kilograms on his head felt awkward. He tried not to move his head around too much so Huntsman wouldn't fall off, but turning his entire torso instead of just his head made him feel like a robot. And not a particularly advanced one either.
Eventually, the group entered the cave despite Ann's protests. At first, it was a rather ordinary dark cave, but soon Arthur found himself fanning away a smell most foul.
"That is disgusting. Your Roc reeks worse than an unkempt chicken coop." He said, his voice muffled by a hand covering his face. But it was not the Roc that stunk up the place. A flock (a murder?) of harpies apparently started nesting here. They seemingly took after the highwayman of old, demanding payment in the form of eggs for safe passage. Those disgusting bird-folk unsettled Becky even more than their stench unsettled Arthur when she realized they shouldn't be here. Huntsman, Mai, and Ann naturally took that to mean that they were free game when it came to slaughtering them.
"Hold on." Arthur raised a hand in front of Ann. "We also technically shouldn't be here, but infighting is still forbidden. Even if they don't count as beasts by the island's standards, we shouldn't risk it by trying to kill them."
There wasn't much Arthur do to prevent Mai from charging in, but he could try distracting the harpies at least for a little bit.
"You want shinies? That's fine, I've got some for you." Shards of ice appeared in the air, glistening and sparkling in the lights of Malcolm's orbs and Ashlea's flames. They hurled themselves high into the air. If the harpies took the bait and went after them, Arthur would suggest they "Run!". If not, self-defense was what they would have to resort to. Non-lethal, of course.

Gal, take care of this - The boy ordered his guardian as the other hid his hands behind his wings. He left some "eggs" and "diamonds" steps ahead while Arthur offered shinies too. Once they finished the ran away.
Well! At least that will satisfy them! - The prince said, proud of his decision.
As they moved, Derek couldn't avoid to ask the Angel about what happened before
So... About being kicked out of my body, what happened?
Well... I-I tried to read your genes so I coul guess who is your father... seems that he doesn't want to be found - The angel sighed. The fact of his powers being unable to read Derek made him a bit sad
Maybe the Queen before being a puppet locked things up? You said she was a troublemaker - The blonde laughed
No, your mother would never hide something that important! - The angel protested - She was reckless but not with the important things! If her best friend were alive I would asked him...
Derek wanted to ask but decided to avoid it. They were in the middle of something as they tried to escape - So! Miss! - He talked to Ann - Thanks for taking care of my pal! He seems completely fine! - He smirked, of couse knowing the trouble he caused before

The scar on Ann’s stomach made Ashlea narrow her eyes in both surprise. Where was that dumb girl going that her babysitter needed to fight jiangshi?! And an elder lich?! The fire made let out a small sigh of relief though at the new information. “Phew, I was wondering how to ask about that.” Ashlea motioned toward the eyepatch, squeezing Malcolm’s hand reassuringly when he took her hand. The group then made their way inside, and the smell from inside the cave made Ashlea wince at what was occupying the space.
“Harpies...ugh. They are basically humanoid vultures who eat carrion, and some of the higher skilled ones can control the wind to some extent. And they live in disgusting places like this.” Ashlea plugged her nose for a few seconds, then released it so she didn’t sound weird talking. “They all mostly resemble women, but we don’t know if the male harpies are indistinguishable from women...or what’s up with that. Oh, and do NOT let them pick you up, they like doing that.”
Turning to Malcolm, she let go of his hand and looked him in the eyes. “Hey, I get to do stuff now! So just stay behind me...but just not too close. I don’t want you getting burned.” And with that, the air around Ashlea began to heat up, a small aura of heat surrounding the fire mage. “Hahaha! That’s right, I know how to deal with your tactics! Can’t grab something this hot!” A satisfied grin appeared on Ashlea’s face. It felt nice to be able to join in the action for once this trip! She pointed her palm toward a cluster of harpies and shot out a fireball the size of a medicine ball, aiming to take a few out at one.

Even as a swarm, the landbourne harpies didn’t prove especially dangerous. Mai’s charge easily plowed through the crowd, scattering harpies by the score. Ashlea’s fireball similarly threw multiple singed harpies aside, filling an already toxic atmosphere with the smell of burned feathers. Multiple harpies flew into the air after Arthur’s shiny ice shards, many more following them to circle overhead. More and more harpies left the ground. The cavern dimmed with each harpy that joined the feathery stormcloud overhead. With their screaming and howling, it seemed for all the world like a tornado contained in the cavern above. From every direction, they began to drive, attempting to drag off the lighter members of the group.
One attempted to grab Ann’s hair with her filthy talons while another snatched at her ankles in passing, attempting to pick her up upside down. Malcolm was cowering when talons wrapped around his arm and started dragging him across the room. Derek was similarly harassed, a harpy trying to rip a chunk out of his hair while another two flew in from behind in an attempt to body check him to the ground.
“Ashlea heeeeeeeelp!” He wailed as more harpies, three, four, attempted to pull Arthur off of the ground. “Hey! This is my ride! None of you touch him! And put the pink shrimp down!” Huntsman snapped at the harpies with his own tiny beak. The larger members of the group were only left alone for a moment before the largest harpy dipped out under the crowd, followed by two other harpies who hovered without flapping their wings. Their eyes glowed green as they circled the group, wind picking up behind them. Picking up filth and dirt, the wind formed visible columns that blasted forth at Becky, Mai, Gal and Ashlea from multiple sides, trying to pin them down with sheer air pressure.

"Hang in there!"
Ann said to Malcolm as she shot with her weapon at the harpy trying to grab her by the head. Ann quickly changed targets towards the one trying to snatch Malcolm, she was fast with her draw, but she did not expect to be dragged by the ankles.
Normally, she wouldn't have budged a millimeter from such a sweep, but with the level lock, her power was restrained tenfold. the virtual warrior was swept off her feet, hitting the ground with her head as she fell unconscious. With virtually no shields protecting her body, she was nearly as weak as the first time she entered a tomb.
Meanwhile, Mai and company were being blasted by powerful bursts of air, the Musashi dug her hands deep into the ground as she clawed her way forward, her helmet materialized as she covered her eyes from the rubble sent their way.
"Idiots, don't you see I'm wearing this Heavy-ass armor?! you're gonna need more than air to stop me!"
Mai lounged and swiped at the harpy closest to her in an attempt to turn it into shreds, should it fail, she would just dig her fingers deep into the ground and try again, with such a low posture and her added weight, the wind had less effect on her.

Trying to avoid them, Derek used his blue flames at a short range, the smell was already bad and there was no reason to make it worse.
THE FUCK DO YOU WANT?! IF YOU WANT SOMETHING LIKE ME HAIR GO FIND GOLD OR SOMETHING! - He created a fireball and used it as a glove. He immediatly saw Ann falling to the ground and not waking up, as he ran closer he started fighting against the Harpies. As he fought he finally noticed the lenght in the girl's hair... he could brush it once they finish that disastrous adventure.
The angel by other hand used his own wings as shield, as he began to turn the bigger rocks in fake diamonds so they could shine and distract the Harpies.
As he moved towards Derek, the angel began to throw punches and kicks to the harpies. Opening his wings completely they were extremely big, and when he flapped the air would push them away - Everyone come here!
Gal, protect her, I'll bring Malcom now! - He left the angel and Parker's side. Making blue flames the prince opened his path toward the other boy. In a mere second one of the Harpies grabbed him by his hair and began to pull him.
MALCOM! GO WITH GALLERIAN! I'LL DISTRACT THIS MOTHERFUCKER! - He said as he grabbed it by its talon and began to burn it - LEMME CRISP YA'!! - He shouted as he tried to escape until he noticed he fell and saw his own hair still being held by the harpie... - ....ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?!?!?!
He began throwing fireballs at all of them. He could tell he didn't had his bangs anymore. He would had to go full short hair. He hated that! What kind of descent of Celtics would allow that?!?!?! Gallerian kept protecting Ann as he reached his wing to protect the other boy once he get closer enough.
Making white pentagrams he pushed the Harpies to keep the distance - My, my... you are pretty energic...

When the battle started, Ashlea was brimming with confidence. She was near impossible to pick up for these harpies, everyone here besides Malcolm was probably stronger than a small group of harpies, and they had the weirdos who just had a superpowered wrestling match with each other! Surely they'd be super strong! It was then her jaw nearly fell open when Ann was taken out so easily. "...how...?!" She asked nobody in particular. Her attention was then snapped back to Malcolm being dragged away, a loud groan of annoyance escaping her mouth as she tried to move to help him...but the wind began to pin her down to the ground. "Oh come on! I'll be over there soon!" Ashlea called out, glaring up at the harpies seconds later. At least the people outside of this vortex seemed to be helping him...but were they strong enough to do anything?
Holding out her right hand, a small red cat with a tail longer than its body materialized outside of the wind's influence. Its body was covered in small red quills that ran the length of its body, the quills covered in a thin layer of fur that would make the cat seem like a normal house cat from afar...discounting the tail. It looked at its master with confusion. "Mimi! Take out these harpies!" Ashlea commanded. The cat stared for a few seconds...then looked up with its golden eyes and leaped toward the harpies creating the vortex. Mimi would then surround itself in an aura of flames and try to tackle one out of the sky, using its tail to try grabbing another one by the wing to drop it down to the ground with it.

When the harpies descended to take Arthur, he smiled and extended his arms so they could grab him more easily.
"I tried being nice, you know. Greed is gonna cost you though." As they flew up, ceilings of ice appeared suddenly right above the harpies heads, including the one carrying Malcolm. The idea was for the harpies to smack right into them and drop their victims onto floating ice platforms. Whether that happened or not, the ceilings curved and tried to envelop the harpies, either to bind and toss them into other harpies or to squeeze them until they actually dropped their prey.
While Arthur's plan unfolded, a blue fireball passed dangerously close to him. Several did actually; Derek tossed around almost randomly.
"Hey, watch it with the fireballs, Blondy! You hit me and you're gonna wish the god finished you off!"

The harpy before Mai grinned when the massive warrior swung her open hand. She gracefully soared upwards, just out of the way. No metal-clad finger touched her. Instead, the sheer force of wind caused by Mai’s attack sent her spinning out of control and she crashed into the cavern wall. The harpy flopped down, head bobbing in a dizzy dance.
One of other wind-casters looked on in horror. While distracted, Mimi pounced from the side, fiery tackle smashing her to the ground in a screaming bundle of burning feathers. She broke free, kicking at Mimi with her talons, and flew straight up, screaming in misery. An entire chunk of the other harpies left with her, leaving their supposed leader screaming words of abuse after them. She glared right into Mai’s eyes and charged, turning suddenly supersonic halfway across the room, slashing out at Mai’s thigh as she flew past.
The harpy grabbing Derek’s hair screamed when her talon was burnt with blue flames, releasing her grasp and fleeing the battle. His removed hair fluttered to the ground, and for a moment, Derek was safe as the harpies around him grabbed it up for themselves. The others began to scatter in the face of his fireballs, a very few getting struck by fireballs which sent them spiraling and screaming out of the cave to dive into the ocean.
Behind him, Gallerian’s fists proved suitable for keeping the birds at bay, hopping around just outside of reach. The swarm kept spiraling near, however, until his wings spread. Dozens of harpies screamed and scattered. The cloud of bird bodies above visibly thinned, light breaking through the swarm as at least a hundred broke away.
“Flight, no!” “He can chase us in the air, no, no!” The harpies screamed. Those holding Ann, clawing at her bulletproof vest in a vain attempt to find shiny buttons, dropped her and fled, leaving her in Gallerian’s hands. The harpies grabbing Malcolm crashed into the ice ceilings formed overhead, dropping him practically into Derek’s lap. “Thank you thank you keep them away from meeeeeee!” He wrapped his arms around the prince.
The harpies charging Arthur were quickly thrown off course by the shining shields of ice appearing overhead. They brushed near Arthur, soaring back upwards. At first it seemed like he was totally unscathed, until he noticed the sudden weight gone from his skull. “Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate!” Huntsman wailed as he was carried off.

"Don't underestimate me!" Mai said as she teleported her Yata no Kagami right in front of her as she kept charging. Mai perfectly knew tagging something that fast was a fruitless effort, so she would just make her crash against the sacred mirror, that way she would save time and effort as she kept moving.
Way back in the cave Ann was forced back into consciousness by her virtual machine, it was almost as if the tech had shocked her with a defibrillator, she coughed and gasped for air as she grabbed Gallerian by his clothes.
the moment her senses began to work properly again, she knew that she was still in the cave, She looked at her ripped vest and parts of her attire, did he do something to her while she was unconscious?!
"GET...OFF ME!!"
The virtual warrior tried to move away from him, but her head had been rattled too hard, she clumsily fell to the ground as she crawled to a corner, her PTSD kicked in as anxiety and confusion overcame her, she took a fetal pose as she cried and sobbed, shaking in complete terror.
"Percival...Gianni...don't leave me here..."
