Smoke was painted silver by the moonlight, pouring in through the hole in the roof. It was the only movement in the room as Soon raised her deadly disco ball. Her beams added new light and new smoke, boring holes everywhere. Outside, Theo yelped when a beam of light bored right through him, leaving behind smoke as black and midnight. More beams followed and Theo vanished into shadow. Dan and his foes both stopped to admire the light show for a moment. "She's crazy." The flamboyant warrior cracked his knuckles. "It's inspiring."
The closer fishman threw out a chop, but his own fist flashed out just as fast. It happened so fast the grey man didn't even realize what had happened until he saw that his pinky was at an awful, impossible angle. "When you've only got the one move, you have to expect I'll eventually figure out how to counter it." He slid into an especially low stance. "Now come on! Between you there's still three good hands and four good feet!" The fishmen lunged and a pink aura flared up to meet them. Inside the church, fires began to spread where holes were burnt in the walls, entire puddles becoming steam at the touch of lasers. A mighty hiss went up when a laser punctured the floor, a noise of shock and pain. "A shame, such a holy place going up in flames. But at this point, the damage truly is irreparable." The walls started to creak. "We will rebuild. Stronger. Better. More coral." Without warning the bell crashed back through the wall, barreling at Soon like a freight train. In that same moment, the church began to collapse, walls and ceiling pushing inwards like a massive fist was crushing it from the outside. "Enjoy your elaborate tomb. The other human we will merely feed the sea monks." The voice sounded pained. Strain from exerting itself? Or had Soon injured it with a stray beam?

Soon flew back as soon as she saw the bell, however, the momentum it packed was still enough to send her crashing against one of the walls, the esper had his world turned upside down from the blow, she avoided getting plastered on the ground but the damage was still significant. she tried getting up as the walls and floor began to collapse on her, she noticed the voice was in pain, so it was clear this thing wasn't as invincible as it portrayed to be.
"I'm not dying here asshole"- she defiantly replied still spitting blood from her mouth, she then flew upwards, throwing everything she had at the ceiling, first, a barrage of small light beams and then bigger light cannons, she held a large light ball right in front of her as she tried pushing past the ceiling, everything was dark except for her light ball, she didn't know what was what, hell, she didn't know if she would get through this one, the only thing she wanted now was to murder that damn frog!
Soon at this moment began pondering what the hell had happened to Dan and Theo, the karate guy said he was gonna be there in a moment and Theo was just missing! had he abandoned them both?! Soon's anger boiled to the top, making her even more determined than she already was.
"Fuck Greenwater and fuck you! when I get out of here I will vaporize the church with you inside, I don't care if I have to waste my entire energy reserves!" Soon shouted as she kept pushing forward with her energy construct, this was the last time she would leave home without her teleporter bracelet.

Falling timbers, smoke and ash. Soon's vision would be nonexistent as she pushed her way free of the church, but with her burning orb, she broke free, leaving the place of worship to collapse behind her. She could see Dan standing below over the fallen fishfolk, bloodied but grinning. He was getting ready to take on the Sea Monks when Theo rose from the shadows again to grab their foot-tendrils, swinging both into the wreckage of the church. "My apologies." He rumbled. "There were a great many light attacks being used. I could have been grievously injured." He squared off with the rubbery beasts until the church wreckage rumbled beneath them.
They and everything else was lifted as it flew free. Solid at last, the miserable sea-creature floated in front of Soon. Her senses would tell her it was real this time. The way the moonlight shone on its skin, the briny smell of its body. Even the injury she inflicted on it, a burn across its arm from a stray laser, spoke of reality. "Now you too will simply be ground up and fed to the Sea Monks. Chum is all those tied to the land are good for." He rushed forward, a wave of force before him to push her. He attempted to shove her away and down into the ocean, trying to push her down into the sand and drown her on the ocean floor. His empty black eyes stared down, displaying not a speck of emotion.

Soon braced herself for the impact, her muscles began to grow and swell until she had the physique of a bodybuilder, Biokinesis was quite a painful ability and she could only use it for brief periods of time, but it gave her a real increase in strength. Soon knew that if she were to be dragged underwater that would be it for her, she had to get out of that situation somehow!
The esper began to push back with her TK as well, but her efforts only managed to slow down the creature ever so slightly as his telekinetic ability was far more developed than hers. She began to desperately strike the creature barehanded as they rolled down towards the waterbody, the espers fists were surrounded by light, which burned as much as her barrier upon contact, she had to force him to let go no matter what.
"Let go asshole!" -she took a deep breath as they kept falling, this wasn't good!
"THEOOO!!" she shouted hoping the demon god could prevent her from falling into the water, there was one thing in particular about that, she didn't even know how to swim! inside the water all she could do was panic.

"Soon!" Dan ran after her, but she was far out of range. At the rate she was plummeting, she would be underwater long before he reached shore. "Can't you teleport to her?" He called to Theo, but the dark creature shook his head. "No. She is too strongly illuminated." He could only watch her fall like a burning meteor. "Alright. You can throw me, can't you?" Dan grinned, slicking back his hair. "Physical might now? You have taken the wrong lesson from your loss." The ghastly priest's barriers blocked the brunt of Soon's strikes, although her burning fists seared lines across his flesh. He didn't pull away, just driving her down. "You don't understand. You are an insect. Your strength is nothing. Your mind is nothing. While you stinking, hairy messes thought yourselves brilliant because you could stack some rocks and they wouldn't fall down, we were speaking with those from beyond the stars. They entrusted secrets to us and us, to you ungrateful apes. And that is what makes us the sea bishops! Bear witness to a great ritual of the Grey Sea! A drowned sacrifice!"
Before he could make good on his promise and push her under, Dan came flying from nowhere. His knee met the bishop's face and finally, finally his black eyes showed an emotion. Shock seemed to spread in slow motion as he was flung aside, but not quickly enough that Dan didn't snap out his foot again. That wasn't all that snapped, and the esper beast was ping-ponged into the sea with a broken arm. Dan, unable to change course of his own volition, splashed down as well. He came up sputtering. "Ahahahaha! I need to be thrown more often!" He was enjoying himself too much to notice the sea bishop bob to the surface, looking like an especially ugly cork. It didn't retaliate, just floating his its eyes rolled back in its head.
"Return to shore." Theo commanded, toes right at the edge of the water. "And kindly tow that priest ashore with you. It seems he requires assistance in mobility." Dan's attention was drawn to their defeated enemy and he hesitantly swam out to it. "Unhand my unharmed fin..." It mumbled when he took it by the arm and began swimming back. "Would you rather I took you by your broken limb?" He asked and got no response as he clambered onto shore. He set the creature down and began trying to wring out his shirt, a task he realized swiftly was a lost cause. "You're alright, right?" He asked both of the others. He could see right through Theo where one of Soon's lasers had struck him, but he honestly didn't know if that was a big deal for something like him.

Soon had been saved, she looked at the water and gave a sigh of relief, she couldn't complete her thoughts while underwater at all!
She returned to Theo and the others, Dan and Theo were the ones to really save the day in her opinion, she looked at the hole she put through Theo, he didn't look in pain or anything, but she had to do something about it.
"I'll help you out with that, wasn't my intention to get you caught on that one"
The esper of the Musashi made a golfball sized light orb and twisted it until it turned black, the black energy shone over Theo's gaping wound
"This should heal what my lights did, let me know how you feel after that."
Soon looked at the Fishman pissed off, she really fancied breaking his other hand, but she was sure Dan wouldn't let her, speaking about that, she also had to thank Dan.
"Hey, thanks for the backup dude, I gotta admit that was pretty cool"
The esper could finally rest, she would probably head home afterward, to continue with Mai what they were doing before this, she really missed her a lot by now.

Dan puffed up in pride when he was complemented. "Ah-ha, yes, I was really... Theo helped. A lot." Even as his speech failed, he was grinning broadly. "I did indeed assist him in his rescue. In fact, without me it would have been impossible. Without him, I may have thrown a stone." Theo watched as his injury sealed itself. "Fascinating. You should make much more use of this vastly more pleasant ability. As for your injuries, they shall be treated on board. I have called the ship to rendezvous with our party at the town's main pier. You two have found travel with me exceedingly disadvantageous to walking and so I shall avoid subjecting you to it."
The rain began to clear as they walked back down the street. The clouds fell away, allowing the glowing moon to be seen for the first time all night. "I know you prefer sunlight, but does that do anything for you?" Dan asked, eyebrow raised. They were setting foot on the pier as the boat drifted into view, far on the other side of the bay. "I estimate it will arrive in five minutes." Theo said and went silent. Dan nodded and wandered to the edge of the water. Without the fog, the water was still a steely grey, poorly reflecting Dan as he checked out his injuries. He looked very odd and more so until his eyes widened. "Soon, Theo, it's-" The thing that blasted from the water smashed the boards beneath Dan, dropping him in the water.
"Where is my baby!? And where is Harold!?" She yelled at him, putting a bare foot on his hand when he tried to climb out. She was half-naked with green fur growing from her bare upper half, vibrant purple spikes of hair jutting from her scalp. "Abijah of the Tongue, you are wanted for murder, kidnapping, aggravated assault, assault of an officer of the HWIC, and unliscenced summoning of class-three extradimensional entities. Lay down your arms and submit to processing." Theo demanded, immediately recognizing the servant of one of his most vile siblings. "Lord! Oh, I don't want to fight you, lord, please! I just want my son and my friend!" Abijah sounded genuinely upset when she realized that a demon god stood before her. Her weapon, an odd jade hook, didn't drop from her hand.

"Ehh, even if I had my armor this moonlight would still put me at 20% of my max, I guess it kind of helps...night time is just not great for me overall, right now I'm probably at 10% right now. You should see me on a sunny day at the beach though, I become kind of a goddess...hey, where is that esper kid btw?"
Soon felt some bliss from looking at the moon, it wasn't much, but the slight reflection revitalized her, she wouldn't get much time to enjoy herself, as Dan was sent flying, Abijah had shown up now, further complicating things.
The esper was about to fire at her but Theo got first, apparently, she was a wanted criminal, and the HWIC wanted her behind bars.
Soon remembered the images that Qiang sent her through telepathy, this person was her mom? judging by the way she treated Dan, there was no way she would help her, this person being intimidated by Theo made her smile a little, it felt like karma was at work.
*hah, serves her right, what a dick* she thought to herself.
Soon examined all of her movements at a healthy distance, she remembered what Dan had told her about this woman, she flew and positioned herself at a sniping distance, interacting with that woman would be dangerous.

“If you have no will to fight me, then lay down your arms and submit to arrest. You will be granted a fair trial.” Theo grumbled to Abijah and she sighed. “Forgive me lord, but I can’t do that! I am Abijah, the Jade Army of my lord and lady!” She swiped her hooked club in a complex pattern, making the green stone glow, leaving burning trails in the air.
With a thrust, she made the lines wrap around herself, and in a burst of light she was clad in a tight green dress. If Soon looked closely, darker green figures on the dress depicted… Abijah? At least four figures of the strange woman decorated the dress. She stared at the two before her, lifting her eyes slightly to the boat behind them. “Is that that place?” She watched as it slowly approached. “Do not allow her to reach that boat.” Theo set his arms out to meet Abijah and she pulled up her lip in a snarl.
The patterns on her dress writhed. Two peeled away and now there were three Abijahs, only one left on her dress. One took off, flying off for the boat, another kicking Dan in the face to keep him in the water, the third rushing Swallower. Her club came down on his head and she darted back before he could swipe at her. Already he felt his thoughts slowing. What a creature, to eat a god’s thoughts!

"Dan!" Soon shouted as Abijah tried to drown him, she wanted to go rescue him, but the other Abijah was already leaving! She decided to follow Theo's orders, if she reached that boat everything would have been for naught.
Soon began to chase after Abijah, who knows what was she capable of, but for her to be fighting all 3 at the same time it was crazy! Soon began firing beams of light at the woman in an attempt of downing her, she was particularly capable whenever it meant attacking from a distance, the only problem was that she didn't have much juice left, all of her attacks would have to be far less eye-catching if she wanted to stay in the game. still, 10% wouldn't give her a big destructive laser, but she could make it very refined and keep the potency, the laser was thin as a needle, but it would still pierce just as good.
"Alright, time for you to go down!"- Soon said as two of her beams were released, if that wouldn't stop her, she would still definitely get her attention.

"I'm fine, go!" Dan grabbed his Abijah's ankle and pulled. "You want to keep this in the water so bad, come join me!"
Already distant, the Abijah Soon was chasing was clipped in the shoulder by one of the esper's light lances, sending up a plume of smoke. She yelled in pain, dipping towards the sea. She rolled in the air and the other laser only brought up steam. She hugged the waves, turning to look up at Soon. "Who are you!? Why are you interfering!?" A large wave rolled up and she dipped into it. She lunged from the water another couple meters down, breaching like a dolphin as she continued along.
It was only a second later that a different Abijah lunged from the water behind Soon and swung her club at the back of her head. "Sorry, but I don't have time for this! Especially not a light manipulator!" Just being in proximity to Abijah would cause Soon's mind to grow fuzzy, plans and ideas vanishing as soon as she thought them up. It would grow worse with proximity and lesser with distance.

That particular feeling was something Soon had never experienced before, The esper was clubbed from the back as she was sent flying several meters away, she would have been out of commission had her biokinesis not began to heal the wound. her thoughts slowly came back to her head as she shook it in confusion.
"Fuck...what was that?!"
The esper suddenly remembered what Dan had told her about Abijah, why was she remembering that just now?! was it because of the distance? she replied to her as she looked for the second Abijah.
"I am Hyo-Soon Park of the Musashi, now, don't even think about sneaking out on me! I know there's two of you!"
Abijah's question wasn't entirely crazy though, Did the Musashi really had a fight to pick with her? no, she had to clarify that now.
"I am here because I want to! you are not taking that child away from his father!"
Soon, concentrated as she steeled her mind, she wasn't a proper mentalist, but her efforts should stall the draining of her thoughts slightly, at least enough so that she didn't become a drooling idiot every time she came close to her.
"The first ones were warning shots, I'm warning you, if I concentrate enough you won't be able to dodge, I don't want to leave that kid without a mother so you need to stop now!"
The esper wasn't bluffing, she could see the future and attack at near lightspeed, even if someone tried to aim dodge, Soon would know where they would be in the next 5 seconds, combining those two abilities was extremely taxing for her, but she wouldn't hesitate to do so if it meant saving Quiang.

The Abijah copy hovered, watching Soon through low lids. She had heard of the Musashi, although she knew little about them. She had never been active in Japan. If they were good-hearted, Soon might hear her out. "Dan hid him from me! He hid my son when he planned to betray me and took him away behind my back! Please, at least let me see him!" She clasped her hands, tears showing even on a soaked face. "What if a child of yours was taken? Wouldn't you do anything to get him back!?" She screamed from on high, pleading voice carrying over waves that just seemed to grow in fury, as if they emphasized with her pain.

"I..." Soon wasn't sure as to what to answer, could this be a trap? there was only one way to confirm it
"Fine, I'll help you see your son, but we must go back to the pier and wait there for the boat, you will also have to stop fighting Theo and Dan, those are my conditions, after you see him, I will not be responsible for what the demon god does to you, going to jail shouldn't be much of a high price to pay in order to see your child"
She did not let her guard down, she perfectly heard what Theo said about her, she was a killer, but in the end, she felt sad for her and Quiang, why would that kid show her mother unless he actually missed her? Soon would have loved to see her mother again, even if she had been so cold-hearted as to abandon her.
"Dismiss your clones, we are heading back, If you try anything funny, I'll know, I can see into the future"

"Oh, I'm so sorry... if you really could see the future, you'd know I can't let that happen." Abijah charged at Soon, trying to get close and stay close. Her club swung out to smash the air from Soon's lungs. "He'd never even give me visiting rights if I went to prison. And my followers need me. No, I'm taking my son, whether you and Dan like it or not!" She dropped, trying to hook her club around Soon's foot and fling her into the ocean. "I won't drown you. You are innocent of this. And besides, all my friends here are psychics. We could get along if not for this little misunderstanding." Abijah attempted to fly off while she had the chance.

Soon dashed back as soon as Abijah charged for her, but she was too fast for the Musashi. With her mental protections in place however, Soon was able to retaliate despite being tossed away, just managing to break her fall a meter or so above the water. Abijah seemed to have a soft spot for espers just like she did, but she couldn't still let her go, her loyalty was with Dan, not with her.
The esper tried pulling Abijah by the foot using TK, she wasn't gonna hurt her further, but that didn't stop her from blocking her path, she gathered light around the Abijah closest to her, and in the blink of an eye, light panels began forming a cube around her, she knew she wouldn't give up, she just wished her precognition had been wrong for once.
"C8 cell"- Soon whispered. "Now you are going nowhere, even at 10% my tesseract prison is one of my most powerful techniques, you have been nice to me, so I shall be kind as well"
With how little energy she had, Soon would have to focus all her photokinetic power if she wanted to keep that cube active, photokinesis was lethal most of the time, but she didn't want to hurt this woman any further, her C8 cell was one of the few defensive tools within her kit, though she usually compressed her targets until they turned to ash or bombarded them with microwaves as they helplessly cooked inside. Soon had a soft spot for Abijah's situation, so she wouldn't go for anything like that. she simply wanted to contain her moves, dealing with one Abijah was already hard enough.
"You have to be reasonable, you won't be able to defeat the Demon God, Dan and me at the same time, I can let you see your kid from a distance, but you shall not take him away...that's more than you deserve and you know it."

Abijah was yanked down as Soon wished and swiftly surrounded in burning panels of light. She winced and shielded her eyes against the glare, lips pulled back in a snarl. "Your powers really are something special, aren't they? I'm really glad I didn't have to kill you." She sighed, looking out at Soon though her deadly cage. Maybe without her weaknesses, she could break through this cage, but she certainly couldn't now. "My job is done anyway." She pointed behind Soon, to the ship slowly drifting in. It seemed fine at first, but that was just the cover of darkness.
Half the ceiling was caved in, ragged steel beaten away by fearsome strikes of a club. A dark shape loomed, half inside the hole. "It would pay to remember, Park. There is only one Abijah." And with that, she thrust her skull into the blinding wall. Her head erupted in violent purple flames. She smiled at Soon as they spread. Her body hovered a moment more before dropping to the bottom of the cage. The rest of her ignited and soon vanished in a brilliant green flash. Soon was left with a cage that only caught ash and a smouldering boat far behind.

"...Fuck" Soon said as she looked at the ship, that woman was quite determined!, The esper contacted Dan and Theo before moving onto the boat.
*Sorry, I lost her, Theo, Dan, you guys need to get here fast"
Soon rushed towards the boat as she landed on it, where was Qiang? Soon tried reaching out for the kid with her mind, telepathy had a pretty long range, so perhaps she could contact the kid.
This was quite a difficult situation, why was she the one who had to take the decisions anyway?! damn HWIC!

Abijah's movements underwater were far smoother than they should have been. She swam like a fish and hit like a truck. Dan couldn't land a punch, and even trying to breach the surface was punished cruelly with beatings from her club. He held his lungs burning as the thought vampire drove him down and down, shoving him into the sand. Her face was just above him but he could barely see through the salty water. His punches were slowed by the water, bouncing off of her without harm. They grew weaker and weaker as the last bubbles left his lungs. His vision was going black when she vanished in a flash of green.
He flailed his way to the surface and gasped as much air as his lungs could take, stinging eyes gazing into the sky. "The only way she would have vanished is if Soon took her down or if she... if she got away!" He yelled to Theo, also suddenly Abijahless. It was only then that Soon's message came. "No... Theo! Take me to the boat!" He scrambled onto the pier and grabbed Theo's hand and through the darkness they went.
They emerged right next to Soon. Not a single mind responded to the esper's probe. The dark figure she had seen turned out to be the body of the massive intelligence operative. His eyes stared emptily into the sky, his chest resting on the boat's surface. "Qiang!" Dan jumped in and found only carnage. The workers were dead, the computers smashed. The lights were splattered with blood, casting the whole room in red. Harold was gone, and so was Qiang, only a few scattered towels telling that once the child was there. "No..." Dan just stared at the empty sheets while Theo knelt behind him. "I am sorry." He reached out his arms, closing the eyes of dead HWIC agents.

"It's my fault, should have put her down when I had the chance" -Soon said while clenching her fist, Abijah had no remorse killing the HWIC agents, and now those deaths were on Soon as well. If she ever met with her again, she would not hesitate to put her down.
"There must be something we can do, the way she manhandled us was pathetic!"
The esper really wanted to discharge her wrath on Theo, he was the one in command, the one who should have arrived earlier, the one who could have and should have beaten her! but what good was it to put the blame on him? his men were dead, and Qiang had been kidnapped, Soon did not lose anything at all, and yet, the weight of it was crushing her, she wanted to cry in anger, with one swift move she could have dispatched her and everything would have been fine. Abijah toyed with her feelings and emotions.
"If she does anything to Qiang, I'll see to it that she doesn't survive..."- she stated with eyes glowing in anger, she then looked at the demon god with a serious expression, she had fucked around for far too long and as a result, it came to this.
"Theo, I want to contact my clan for I need my weapons, I'm hunting her down...I don't care if she got away today, I'll personally set up a contract for her"
