The gun sailed past Ryota and came to a stop at the far wall. "If shooting at me doesn't work, why would throwing it? You must be very confident in your throwing arm." He looked at her arm and shrugged. "Oh, no sports. Shame, I do think we could be friends and would love playing against you. That's something you can actually win at." He casually hopped when Ash drained heat from by his feet, not even glancing back at her. "I hear you back there! You could have just WOAH-" The patch of ground Ash had chilled had developed a thin layer of ice, throwing his feet out from under him.
Ryota hit the ground shoulder first. Ash yanked him back up before he could recover, the beam pinning him. He went pale as he felt his limbs slow. "Ah, shit." He flared up his ki and tried to throw an elbow for Ash's nose behind him. That wasn't her only problem, as Ryo jumped forward, trying to put a hand on Ash's arm and rot it away enough to free his brother. Across from her, Akiyama took his chance, lunging at Remilia's back. His hand flashed out, pale green and taloned now. The claws would only leave shallow scratches if they landed, but in their wake would come misery. The sickest Remelia had ever been, it would resurface tenfold.
"WHAT!? You tried to hurt Kat! You think we'd work for you!?" Shi screamed. Then Katsuo considered it. "Kaaaaaaat, we can't trust her. Or her sword. We should stab her with that sword. And me." Her tone lowered so only her wielder could hear her. Couldn't she just impale this foolish woman? She would make her bleed all over the bitch lying at her feet before she rubbed it into her hair and chopped her head off. Speaking of which, she was acting weird. Jun was tapping at Akane's foot, gesturing for the counter above, where the soup her attacker was drinking lay. "Kat, we should finish her off now." Shi warned. Her fog had already faded, so she couldn't do it herself.

"Hold it there blade, I tried to harm neither, despite your clear intentions to kill me, I should remind you it wasn't me who came after your master, he stood his ground before me on his own volition, and honor demanded a duel, I'm sure he understands that much. I am amazed you would rather take the word of the Yakuza who have been pursuing you for so long over mine. I don't understand that logic. "
Akane composed herself further and explained
"Hear me out on this one, samurai. My ancestor Miyamoto Musashi said in his book of five rings: control your enemy, else it will control you. do you want to know why the Yakuza keep going after you?
Akane leaned forward, facing Katsuo closer as if she were to tell him a secret:
"because no matter how strong you are, it is just the two of you against them all"
she then leaned back.
"They have become brave enough to tell you with a straight face what to do, and by the way, you won't be working for me, not only am I younger than you, I'm 100 years too young to lead. However, If you were to join us you wouldn't be a ronin anymore, you would be a samurai under the wing of Musashi, you would have a Daimyo as your ancestors once did. I know who you are, Takashi Katsuo. The Pining Blade isn't exactly low profile, and your line is well recorded in history. Why would a man like you run from his enemies when they should be the ones running from you? "
"The offer they give you is simple, leave Japan and wander around for the rest of your life, and that's only if they keep their promise, they could always change their mind and hunt you from the safety of their home, leaving you helpless to retaliate. surely you aren't thinking these people are trustworthy?
Akane set her fist on the table
what I'm extending out to you is something far more precious, Katsuo: Dignity, Purpose, Honor, Status...and profit to boot.I will speak briefly about money since it is the least important thing here, but you mentioned you could survive if you live frugally right? while the life of the vagabond is worthy of praise, it is beneath a man of your caliber, even Miyamoto himself stopped being a vagabond once he found his purpose. most of your money is probably spent taking care of your blade alone, when was the last time you ever took care of yourself? how about the last time you were able to sleep well hm?"
She then changed the topic.
"Our clan has created a safe haven for the many sword styles of Japan, not just Niten Ichi-Ryu, but other 10 styles flourish within our faction, our associates work mostly in Japan, yes, but missions are never obligatory, you can leave Japan if you wish, although I wouldn't encourage that decision, as doing missions for our faction will bring you great benefits and you can only do those here. I will tell you about the benefits once you join. If you still wish to leave your homeland you may do it, but do it because you want to, not because you are being forced to.
Akane looked around her, the fights were still going on and it was chaotic everywhere, to say the least.
You should not mind these Yakuza anymore, if they want a war with us just to get to you they will have it, though I doubt they have the guts to do that. your sword style and your blade must be protected as both are treasures of Japan. Join me and as a welcome gift I shall let you decide the fate of this mission, we can walk out of this place or help those girls, what your code commands you., you shall follow from now on with no fear."
Akane finally stood up from her seat, grabbing her Kaneshige by the hilt as her wakizashi was set on her waist, now with no scabbard.Akane was waiting for Katsuo's response, but then she saw something over her foot.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't see you there, its your girlfriend -Akane told Katsuo while pointing at the floor.- You must forgive me, I barely feel when I get shot, much less when someone touches me, you must have been going at this for a while. did my vial not help you?...?? oh, you want this thing?"
Akane lowered the plate for Jun, she then helped her recover so she could grab it.

Akane had Katsuo's attention when she mentioned Miyamoto Musashi. He loved Musashi in all the samurai novels he read. And now he couldn't even remember when he last had time to read in peace. As she kept talking and talking she won Katsuo over more and more. He wouldn't have to run. He wouldn't have to hide. He could practice in peace, living the way he always wanted. He couldn't really argue against any of those statements.
"Miss, you do not leave me much choice. I feel utterly ashamed for jumping at the opportunity to run away. And I thank you for this incredible offer. I accept it wholeheartedly." Katsuo got up and bowed to Akane before stretching out his hand to shake hers.
"As for what we should do before leaving..." Katsuo looked around and saw the situation.
Remilia managed to slow Ryota down with Ash's help, but she saw Ryo lunging toward her ally. Remilia quickly turned off the aiming mode and summoned her Tazer X3. As the name implied, it could fire three times before the wires had to be retracted. She fired her first volley at the blistered Ryo, her second at the slowed Ryota and then she felt several stings in her back. Suddenly she collapsed, an intense fever taking over her entire body, coupled with a skull-shattering headache. She screamed in pain while red blisters started growing on her skin and didn't stop until they were large, bulbous things roughly the size of eyeballs. But the worst part was the horrible, horrible itchiness. Her fingernails dug into the floor as she struggled not to scratch the blisters.
"...I believe we ought to help the struggling ladies," Katsuo said. Then Akane made a remark about Jun and he got all flustered.
"She is not my girlfriend! We have never met until tonight. Please, do not confuse the situation for something more than it is!"
While Akane dealt with Jun, Katsuo dashed over to Akiyama and, while still running, pulled out Shi and slashed with her. "I am sorry, but I have received an offer with more favorable terms. Our partnership will have to conclude."

Ryota's elbow for Ash's face connected directly, though there was a strange lack of blood coming from the muscular doll's nose when he removed his elbow. "Hah! Your plan was totally ineffective!" Ash declared as she watched Ryo jump toward her, aiming to grab her arm. Crap, he could make things rot! What was there to defend with?! Instinctively, Ash lifted Ryota up like a ragdoll and slammed him into Ryo's side, aiming to knock both of them off their feet. "Haha! A true hero knows when to improvise!" Ash declared, folding her arms across her chest. She looked over and saw Remilia struggling on the ground...seeing the supposed culprit being attacked by the samurai person. What a mess this situation became. She just wanted to play some cool games with people!
Looking back over at the twins, Ash began to charge heat into her fists once more. If they showed signs of wanting to attack her more, she'd blast them with the heat beam and knock them into the row of tables behind them. Or perhaps none of this would work and Ash was about to walk into a trap.

"SHE IS NOT HIS GIRLFRIEND!" Every glass on the shelf shattered, sending the bartender diving for cover. Fog ripped at the floor with skeletal fingers. Shi appeared, a transparent figure half-human, wrapped around Katsuo's neck like a scarf. Her form flickered, layers appearing and vanishing. Her skull came into and out of view as the light sputtered. She didn't say anything, just staring into Akane's eyes until Katsuo took off to fight Kichiro. Even then, her eyes were visible through the back of her skull, still with their penetrating stare.
Jun gratefully sat up with Akane's help. She had seen the Akiyama get look healthier after eating some, and plenty remained. One sniff confirmed her suspicions. Chicken noodle. Whether it was the soup itself that helped or he thought he was being cute by putting the cure in it. Jun didn't care much either way. She desperately lapped it up, too weak to lift the bowl to her face. The moment her tongue touched the broth, she felt her head lighten. I see we are giving up on the vegetarian diet. "We are not, this is an act of desperation." Jun raised her hands and poured as much soup as she could swallow down her throat. "I'm ready. Let's go." She stood, placing the bowl back on the counter.
The tides had quickly turned on the battlefield. Ryo felt the sting of Remilia's taser, arm involuntarily jerking away from Ash before his brother was used as a bludgeon against him. The twins went sprawling, and even as Kichiro was stepping away from combat, combat was coming for him. He turned and raised his taloned hands, but they didn't stop Shi from biting into his side, slicing deep into his abdomen. "Ugh... what a shitty day... would have been so much less work if you all cooperated..." He reached out a hand to rake his claws down Katsuo's face, but a ghostly hand intertwined with his and stopped it short.
Shi appeared, pushing Akiyama off her blade and lifting him off the ground. Her other hand grabbed him by the throat, squeezing so tight his eyes began to bulge. "You tried to make my Kat sick! What am I gonna do to you... oh, you already have a cut! I'll spread your guts all over the room! Maybe I'll find the end and squeeze the stuff in them into your mouth!" Fingers from the fog slid into the gash Katsuo's attack had made. He helplessly screamed and thrashed at her, but her body just dissipated in his wake. She gave his intestines a yank and laughed at his writhing. She was reaching for a whole handful when a beautiful stained glass spear stabbed through her skull from nowhere. Her skull became visible for a second, cracked into more pieces than a jigsaw puzzle. Shi dissipated, dropping Kichiro to the ground.
A split second later, a scream unlike anything else shook the entire bar. The leftover fog poured back into Shi's body as if to escape Jun's wrath. "Kat, that hurt! That actually hurt!" Shi's form appeared in Katsuo's arms, fumbling and falling apart, unable to maintain coherence. She was randomly losing parts, stuttering in her motions like a lagging video game. "Kat, what did she do!?" She wailed as her eyes rolled impossibly in her shattered skull.
"A few more hits like that and I can kill her, so you don't pull anything funny while I try to figure out which one of you I hate the most." Jun marched right past Katsuo, leading Shi to yelp and hide on his back. Jun ignored the spirit, kneeling next to Remilia to place the bowl of soup next to her. "Drink up." She encouraged. Ryo and Ryota had stood, but seemed uncertain of what to do with their boss in such a bad state. They just glanced at everybody in the room, standing at the ready in case they got an opportunity.

Akane felt a chill down her spine as a massive amount of bloodlust enveloped her, she gulped for a second as she witnessed the blade taking human form.
"Well, aren't you the jealous type huh?" she stated fully knowing she should have kept her mouth shut.
Akane got up as she finished helping Jun, only to witness a beautiful performance starring Shi Kaze and Katsuo...surprisingly ended by Jun herself.
*!!!*
As Jun darted past Katsuo she went on to help Remilia, and Akane silently followed.
Akane patiently waited as Jun gave Remillia the cure. while Jun still kneeled Akane went for a stomp at her nape, looking to faceplant her against the floor
"Now what the FUCK do you think you are doing huh?!, I help you and you attack my friends? know your place filth"
Akane drew both of her swords as she looked down at her.
"get up, you have apologies to make"

Katsuo's blow landed, but it didn't stop Akiyama from trying to rake his claws across Kat's face. Katsuo raised his sword to block the attack, but Akiyama's hand never even reached it. Shi pulled him away, grabbed him by the neck and chocked him in the air. Then she started torturing him, going as far as shoving her hand into the wound and tearing out his guts.
"Shi, stop! This is unnecessary!" But Shi either ignored him or didn't hear him. And then a stained glass spear hit her in the head and she shattered.
"Shi!" Katsuo screamed out. She appeared at his call, but was unstable. Damaged. That's not good. Jun did claim she could deal with spirits. Katsuo was flooded with worry as he didn't know if whatever damage was done would heal.
"Miss Li, that was completely uncalled for. I understand you are angry, but we are on the same side right now." Katsuo said while Jun fed Remilia chicken soup. And of course Akane had to escalate this all again.
"Enough! Everyone! We are in hostile territory!" Katsuo looked at Ryo, Ryota and then at Akiyama. "We need to deal with the situation before we kill each other!"
"He is right." Remilia said now that she could think straight. The fever was gone, the headache stopped and the blisters just disappeared. She got up and looked at Ryo and Ryota. "Your boss needs medical attention. Surrender, put down your weapons or your demons and he will receive it."

Much to Ash's surprise, both Ryo and Ryota didn't immediately charge for her or Remilia. Why were they hesitating so much? She looked over and saw the gristly scene with Shi and Akiyama. "Hey! No need to go that far!" Ash yelled at the strange spirit attacking the yakuza. She wanted to capture all these people alive! Also, when did a crazy ghost lady get here?! The problem appeared to sort itself out when a strange spear struck Shi and made her let go of the man. Ash was happy she didn't have to intervene on that one, since she had no idea if punches or heat attacks would affect a spirit.
Looking down, she saw Remilia on the ground seemingly in pain, with Jun giving her...chicken soup? Was that really supposed to help? Her eyes widened when she saw Akane try to stomp on Jun's head. "Oh come on, are you an enemy too?!" She yelled toward Akane. A quick glance showed that Ryo and Ryota still weren't attacking. Clearing her throat, Ash began to address everyone. "She is right! You boss does need medical attention! So how about we just end this dumb fight and help us both out, hm?" Ash said. She was still wanting to fight more...but it wouldn't be heroic to kick people when they are unwilling to fight. Walking toward Remilia, she began to whisper. "So uh...should we be worried about the sword ladies over there?" She asked, motioning toward Akane and Jun, her eyes also glancing toward Shi.

“Same side!? You fought for them!” Jun hadn’t heard Katsuo talking about bargaining for her life, just his quick flip to the side of the yakuza that planned on torturing and murdering her. Akane’s boot caught the back of her neck, slamming her face into the ground. She grit her teeth as her head raised, putting a hand to her nose to find blood. “I’ll let you get away with that since you helped me.” She grumbled, pinching her bleeding nose.
“Kill her!” You see what she did to me!” Shi’s pointing finger snapped right off and vanished. Jun fixed her with a glare and she dove behind Katsuo. The bounty hunter rolled her eyes and looked to the yakuza twins, waiting for their response to Remilia’s ultimatum. They looked at their injured boss and reluctantly rose their vials again. The demons they had used were split from their bodies again, struggling for the blink of an eye before they rushed back into their containers.
“We’re not winning this.” Ryota bitterly grumbled. “Oh well. Want to finish that game?” “Shut up and get some clothes and a healing scroll.” Ryota pushed his brother, in rotten rags after his transformation, towards the back door. “Somebody’s gotta look good around here.” Ryo winked at Remilia and Ash before leaving. “My least favorite thing right now isn’t even the pain… it’s that you just started a war… my life’s gonna be so busy until you’re all dead…” Kichiro hissed through his teeth, holding his heavily bleeding side.

Akane sheathed her blades and made her armor disappear, returning to her regular clothes again. she then addressed jun's remark.
"You are the one that is being left off the hook here miss Li, Katsuo tried to bargain for your life and you did not repay in kind, next time you should not jump into conclusions so fast, also, be sure to thank him before we leave."
she then heard Kichiro's threat, something Akane found somewhat odd
"I might have misheard you, did you just say war? that's amusing, I hope your boss isn't as stupid as you are, because in case you haven't noticed we just thrashed you pretty bad right here on your turf, and that was while fighting amongst ourselves"
Akane went on to grab Kichiro by the collar
"Listen here, If it were for me you guys would be dead already, you must be glad the other people here are a lot softer than I. Be warned: if you mess with any of the people here it will not stop with you on the ground."
she let go of the man, Akane then headed towards Remilia and Ash
"You have helped me a lot today, i must thank you. If there is anything you might need don't hesitate to call me. In fact, I must have ruined your night out, why don't we go out and have some fun after this...um that's right, i never heard your names, mine is Akane, hope we can get along well" she gave them both a business card with her number as she smiled.
she then backed up spoke up
"Now, some might think this is over and we are gonna leave, but that is only half true as miss Li had pending business with the yakuza"
she turned towards Jun as she spoke
"I'll leave this man to you, I personally need those demon vessels they used destroyed or confiscated. they are no good in the hands of scum like the yaks. if anyone has a different opinion feel free to elaborate, otherwise I want them destroyed."
she sighed as if her duty had finished, she went on with Katsuo
"Let's go, I don't think there is anything left to do here. you know how to ride a motorcycle right? let's go grab a bite. our safe house is somewhat close, but not by foot." she told him with a warm smile

While Jun verbally attacked Katsuo, Akane went to his defense. "As Miss Musashi says, I fought to get in their good graces so I could plead for your life as part of the deal. It was a flawed way of thinking, I am now aware, but it seemed like the best course of action at the time. But miss Musashi has given me a better alternative. So I apologize for the inconvenience caused by my actions." Katsuo bowed apologetically. "Now, would you kindly share a way to restore my sword's form?"
While he justified himself, Akane talked with everyone else and in the end she asked him if he knew how to ride a motorcycle. "I can drive a car, but I have never ridden a motorcycle," Katsuo said. Now that he thought about it, perhaps he should learn. Motorcycles are just modern horses after all, and samurai know how to ride horses.
In the meantime, Remilia was thinking about how to deal with the mess this situation turned into. They were just supposed to research the gambling den here to make an arrest at a suitable time. But as it all went to heck, she was thinking the best course of action would be just to call the JHWAB to deal with these guys. They were clearly dealing in what she assumed was illegal demon trading. While she was thinking, Ash approached her and asked what they should do about all the unknown sword wielders here.
"I believe they are on the right side of the law for now. As right as we are. And they do not appear interested in our business so it is all fine," Remilia said before asking, "Do you happen to know how to get in contact with the Japanese hidden world organisation? They should look into this situation."
While they talked, Akane approached them, gave them business cards and invited them out to make up for the ruined evening. Remilia introduced herself and looked at Ash. She wasn't sure what to make of this invite, so she'd let her companion decide.

Ash blinked several times, glancing around the room to try and absorb what had just happened these past few minutes. They only came here to play game with the Yakuza and make some arrests if necessary, and these crazy sword people just ruined everything! Stole her spotlight completely! And now she's just casually inviting them out to some place?! Ash was about to reject the offer completely...but figured it would be interesting to find out who this lady was and why she saw herself as important. Could she be linked to a rival clan who hates this branch?! She needed to see how far this rabbit hole went!
"I am down to have fun after this! And no, I have no idea how to contact and of those hidden world people. I'm sure someone else knows though!" Ash exclaimed. She had no idea how to contact any of these HW organizations, since their numbers were...well...hidden. She had tuned out when Akane was talking about demon trading, so that matter didn't concern her as much currently. Leaning against a nearby wall, Ash looked over to where Ryo and Ryota left from. "So...ya just gonna call us when you wanna meet or something? You seem to have a meeting with that guy right now." She said, pointing toward Katsuo.

Jun turned a bloody red when she realized her mistake. "My sincerest apologies! Please forgive me!" Jun turned 90 degrees down in a snap, driving even more blood to her face. "I'm not sure just what your spirit is, but she seems similar to a ghost. A ghost can't be killed or banished by physical means, just disrupted for a time. She should be fine in a few days, quicker if exposed to lots of whatever fuels her. She seems to be a vengeful spirit, so perhaps somebody she dislikes being around would help." Jun faintly smiled. "Don't try to turn this to your benefit, whore!" Shi screamed, still cowering behind Katsuo.
Kichiro gurgled at Akane's words. "You beat a sick man and two idiots who weren't expecting a fight. Maybe if I'm lucky, father will kill you now and I'll be spared a war." Just as he spoke, Ryo and Ryota returned, carrying healing scrolls and followed by a middle-aged man. He was broad-shouldered but just a touch shorter than them, grey touching his temples and glasses resting across his hard face. His yellow robe seemed far too casual and sunny for the scowl that seemed permanently carved into his face. "Why didn't you call for me?" He stared right into Kichiro's eyes like nobody else was there.
"When it went wrong, I was trying to stop the fight. I didn't have time to make a call." Kichiro grumbled. "NO excuses." The old man spit, lip curling and eyebrows furrowing. "Obviously you made the wrong choice. You two, heal him." Ryo and Ryota ran past the scowling man and he turned at last to the gathered victorious. "I will not be calling the police or pressing charges, but I will ask you to leave. You are not welcome in my establishment, as I believe the bouncer informed you." His eyes turned to Akane as he spoke the last.

"You two can come with us if you want, it wouldn't be safe to roam alone after messing with the yakuza," she told ash.
she then addressed the man's petition
"The Musashi have no further businesses with the Yakuza, we will leave your establishment now. I will mention this to you since you seem to be more sensible, Takashi Katsuo is one of our associates now and wants nothing to do with the Yakuza, stay out of our way and we will repay in kind. the lives of your men were spared today and our clan will pay for the damages done to your bar, my organization won't denounce your illegal actions to the JHWAB either, so consider all that a peace offering."
Akane went on to grab her scabbard on the floor, sheathing her wakizashi and putting it back on her waist, she opened up her comms as she contacted HQ
*Akane here, the mission is over, send a vehicle to pick us up, I'm bringing some guests...and have someone pick up my bike, I don't want it lingering on this place for too long*
"Let's get out of here, shall we?" she told Katsuo and the rest
"It might be better if you leave the personal vendetta for today. Miss Li, you should leave with us as well"
Akane walked out of the now destroyed bar.

"It is alright, miss Li. I should have handled myself more properly." Katsuo replied to her apology. He then listened to her explanation of Shi's state. She had to be around someone she didn't like? That would certainly not be hard to do as Katsuo wasn't sure there was someone she liked aside from him. She was probably going to get fixed up by the time they reached his new clan's headquarters. That thought made Katsuo chuckle. "Thank you for the advice. I am sure she will be alright in no time then."
Katsuo's good mood was interrupted by the appearance of a terrifying presence. The yakuza's boss walked in, a man with graying hair and a hard face hidden behind glasses that just added to the aura of authority he gave off. Worse was the quality and quantity of ki Katsuo could feel from the man. The only thing stronger was Jun's killing intent aimed at the man.
"Miss Li, I recommend leaving with us. This man... Going at him directly right now will not give you the revenge you seek."
Remilia came to a similar conclusion, not by studying ki, but by observing the man's posture. Observing people was a good habit if you wanted to survive as a vigilante and the training at Inazuma helped make such judgments easier to make.
But it wasn't only the old man who worried her. Akane's offer to not call the JHWAB meant the men wouldn't be brought to justice. So this whole trip was a waste of time that just made her the enemy of some yakuza. She bit her lip in frustration. In the end, she knew she couldn't do much now.
Remilia turned to Akane. "An escort would be useful, thank you."
Both Katsuo and Remilia followed Akane, one thinking about his future with the Musashi clan, the one frustrated over failing her mission. Little did Remilia know this wasn't the end. Perhaps there would be a chance for the yakuza to pay for their crimes later. But that's a story for another time.

A small frown of disappointment crept across Ash's face when she heard nobody was going to call the police. Seeing bad guys get arrested gave her a sense of satisfaction! Leaving loose ends like this was unacceptable! But then again...it was Akane who started this mess...they were just defending themselves...and attacking herself and Remmy. Why was this situation so complicated?! She glanced over at the Yakuza boss, not really caring about the threatening presence he was giving off.
"Yeah yeah yeah...we're going." Ash rolled her eyes at the entire situation. She wanted to just punch Akane, the Yakuza boss, the henchmen, and that ghost right now. But assault isn't what a hero does! She turns and walks out of the bar, turning to the rest of them. "Sooooo...what now?" She asked, leaning against the building and placing her muscular arms behind her head.

The only thing moving was Jun's hand, twitching at her him. The twins were injured. They couldn't defend this old man. She could kill him with one drawing slash. Katsuo spoke and she looked into his eyes. His words didn't say much, but his eyes finished the sentence. The moment she swung, this man would kill her. Jun wordlessly turned and walked out. Katsuo didn't seem to catch her hint, so she dangled on the edge of the group for a long moment looking between those here. "You have fun. I've drunk enough today." Jun fell away and quickly vanished in the night.

Akane got out of the bar, two Rhino GX arrived in a matter of minutes, both gloss black, sporting the golden family crest of the Musashi on the handle doors in a subtle way.
"let's go, our ride has arrived," she told the rest.
The armored vehicle was luxurious, from the inside you wouldn't be able to tell it was armored, it had 2 large leather seats, looking at each other, rather than in lanes a table on the middle. 6 people could fit comfortably
Akane waited until everyone sat down and the SUV began to advance, her serious expression suddenly turned into a far lighter one
"ptffff hahaha, did you see their face?! we sure got them good."
Akane looked at Remilia, her face was pretty emotionless, but Akane was always good at reading people, her sword style revolved entirely around that.
"Hey, don't be so gloomy, you see, I told the yakuza the Musashi were not gonna call the JHWAB...good thing you and your friend are not Musashi right?! we are gonna bring those criminals down to the ground, you'll see."
The window that separated the driver from the passengers lowered down, it was Akane's sister.
"And what are you doing here?" Akane said somewhat pissed at the surprise
"Shut up, are you gonna introduce me to your friends or what? it seems you are rather well...accompanied" she said after eyeing Katsuo all over
"You are disgusting...This is Takashi Katsuo, our newest associate, the girl next to me is Remilia and that's her friend Ash, we just came from kicking some Yakuza butt"
Akane fixed her posture as she began to speak more seriously now
"Well, onto more serious matters, that guy from before, it was good that we left when he gave us the chance, I don't know if I could have beat him, as good as I am with a blade, I suck at anything KI related, he was confident enough, that's for sure."
she addressed Remilia and Ash
"right now we are going to one of our safe houses, our people there will escort you to wherever you please after. but before that, I would like to cooperate with you, it is unlikely the yakuza will let go of this grudge just like that, so we have to be aware of their next move. how about we share intel? perhaps we can arrange something...but ah, since we arrived at our destination let's leave that for another time, right now I have other things to do"
"Katsuo, my sister and I are leaving Japan tomorrow, we have to get a friend of ours in China, I shall give you the tour of our HQ once we get teleported later tonight. you are free to come with us or you can stay at your new place"
Akane got out of the van and into the safe house.

There was a drastic difference between Akane's business side and playful side, as was shown they they all piled into her jeep. It actually surprised both Katsuo and Remilia.
"So, you do not mind us contacting the JHWAB? That is good to hear. Although... I do not know how to get into contact with them." Remilia didn't tend to go after superpowered organisations so she never had a reason to find a way to contact the hidden world organisations. Unfortunate though it may be, at the current time Remilia was out of options. Some day though, they will find get their comeuppance. Especially after Remilia gave her own contact data to Akane.
Katsuo told Akane he would prefer to stay in whatever place they provide him for now. He needs to get used to it as soon as possible. Even if it means Shi would heal slower, making the place feel like home was more important.
And so, the heroes all went their separate ways. This was a somewhat successful event, although at least three of them still had regrets. Sadly, there was nothing any of them could do about it. At least until the auction happened...

The father of the Akiyamas watched the gaggle of strangers leave his bar without his face twitching a muscle. “You two go back and make some calls. I want this place presentable within a week. These are my people. Trustworthy, dependable.” He handed a notepad with a few numbers sketched on it to the twins and they quickly nodded out of the room, glad to be away from their boss after making mistakes of this caliber. When they left, he sighed and turned to his son. “You must be more judicious. My orders were to contact me if anything went wrong, and things went very wrong here.” “My men-” “No excuses, Kichiro! I already told you that, and I will not accept any! If you find yourself so distracted by what your men do, I can remove you from command. Now stay here. A healer will come soon, and until then, we need to discuss this. I won’t allow you to make the same mistakes at the auction. You really must be more like your brothers, or your sister. They do their duty.” He sat on a stool and looked wistfully into the distance. Yeah, you just worship the idea of obedient children, you old prick. Kichiro sighed and smiled. Oh, he wasn’t being fair. “I will do my best, father.” Kichiro lazily smiled and leaned back on the wall. He hoped those guys didn’t crash the auction. And if they did, they’d better mess with somebody else. Seoul glittered like the night sky at Jun’s feet. She was too drunk to tell where the horizon marked the difference, and to her stoned mind, that felt especially poignant. She was too drunk to know why that was, but she was sure she’d get it in the morning. She chugged another swig of the good red stuff, the stuff that cost more than rent for each bottle. “Hey Shattered, suggest something reaaaaaaaally trashy to put on.” I have nothing to suggest. I tune out whenever you do this. No offense, but those human things are all very unpleasant.
“Wait! Wait, uh… please don’t do that. I can feel you not being there. I can’t handle that tonight.” There was silence within and without for far too long before his voice rang again in her head. Alright, Jun. But please, none of… that. Let’s just sleep. Jun yawned as if by his suggestion and fell back on her bed, bottle left on her side table. “I should have gone with them, shouldn’t I? I bet they’re having a great time while I mope up here getting dunk.” Why didn’t you? “I… I’ll figure that out when I’m sober.” Jun swatted the lamp’s chain until the light vanished and fell into the deep, dreamless sleep of the drunk.
