Melea nodded. "Yes. It's easy, in fact. If the symbols are covered, they cease to function. That's how we contain the last Primal Stone." She pointed to a box formed of reinforced steel set in the back of the room. The box had an electronic lock, and besides that a padlock. "I'm afraid I can't show it to you. It only has one ability that we have found. Anything near it dies." This was the stone that was hardest to recover. Several died before they figured out how to anchor it with a cable from a distance. Even now she watched that box with worry. The Autumn stone. The thing that dropped bodies like leaves. A thing thats glow burned an impossible black. She felt its pull on her psyche, just like all the others. It demanded that she take up the scythe, embrace the mantle of oblivion. She turned her green eye away. "Don't touch it. It's neutralized, but still, let's not risk accidents." The box sat there, still and unliving as ever.

Smith stares at the steel box containing the last portal stone with extreme caution. If anything here could be use as a super weapon, that particular portal stone would definitely fit the bill more so than the others. And yet, it would also be the most difficult to work with. His head begins to scheme a few ideas, which he keeps to himself as he studies the sealed death inducing device from a safe distance. His curious only increases tenfold by the introduction of another strange Portal Stone. He wanted to ask a question to Melea, but Chase beat him to it, "Where the fuck do you get these things?" he asked in utter confusion. "There is no way you guys made this shit." His eyes are fix at the steel box, which felt weird to look at on a spiritual plane. If he could compare it to anything, it would be similar to his own Black Hole Soul. However, he could tell that whatever lure inside would put his own current soul absorption abilities to shame.

Melea shook her head. "I'm afraid that's not part of the deal. My country's secrets will remain just that." Her mind slipped away to that buried realm that rested quietly under water and silt. The wonder nearly overtook her again. Those shining lights that still glowed even though the place had been buried for a thousand years, the power that was hidden in muck. And finally, deep in its belly, a treasure trove. So long had she waited to open it. Only now did it bend to her will, and it was all thanks to that little idiot who couldn't even begin to comprehend her importance!
She was snapped out of her memories by noises in the other room. There was an extremely heavy thud, like a wall being blown through, a slightly less heavy thud, like something was thrown against the casing of the Spring Primal Stone, then finally a high-pitched alarm ringing through the labs. Melea jumped at first, but quickly realized what was going on. She hadn't expected them to come here. This would require some explanation. "An intruder!? Impossible! My palace is impeccably defended! They must have come in through the wing under construction!" She yelled as she threw open the door to the last room. Sure enough, one of the walls had been blown down and an intruder stood before the miniature jungle. She was a tall and musclebound black woman dressed mostly in the green of freshly watered grass and canary yellow, down to her oversized scarf with weighted yellow balls on the ends.
The intruder was rubbing her hands greedily as she stepped up to the pane. "What a shiny rock you got there. That ought to be worth a couple million to an eccentric millionaire who wants to keep people out of his garden." She stopped when Melea entered the room to toss her a grin. "Hey, wasn't expecting to run into you here. Nice place you've got here, but nothing worth stealing. All your things are cheap ripoffs." She shook her head. "Stingy, stingy. How am I supposed to rob you blind when you've already got cataracts?"

Smith remain calm as the alarms went off, even though he isn't arm thanks to Melea's security crew relieving him of his gadgets. Still, still has his bodyguards to protect him. For now, the best move would be to relocate to a more secure position and let Melea's people handle the intruders. He expected the queen to have a similar plan, but to his surprise she goes after the intruders herself. Regardless if this is an act of bravery, or stupidly, Marvel couldn't just let the queen face an unknown threat on her own. "Marceline! Chase!" he shouted so that his voice can be heard while the alarm system is blasting a high pitch noise throughout the room. He begins to walk after Melea while gesturing to his bodyguards to follow him.
When they enter the room, the group could easily spot the point of entry and the intruder. "Come on, what shitty timing," remarked Chase as he stepped into the room, though he seems to be talking more to himself than anyone in particular. He wanted to be done with this and enjoy the free drinks, now he has to deal with an intruder. "Who are you?" asked Smith. "Enough with the fucking questions already." complained Chase. He turns towards Melea and tells her, "Step back. I don't want to accidentally hurt you." Last thing I need to do is kill another potential business partner for Smith. The soulless man then proceeds to walk nonchalantly towards the black woman. "Do not kill her," Smith commanded him. "If it makes you feel better, she is kinda died already," Chase replied.

"I'm not some helpless old woman, young man. I've fought since I was five years old." Melea huffed. She would keep her trump card hidden for now, observe Chase's movements. She jabbed an intercom button by the door. "Please bring Mr. Chase's weapons." She ordered. "Woah there blondie, let's not get hasty. Introductions are great. I'm Robin Arachne. What's your name?" She offered her hand to shake. "Arachne!? She made more!?" Marceline yelled in horror. Robin turned flashing golden eyes to her in surprise. "You know the name? I can see the threads... you must be one of my older sisters! Haven mentioned there were more of us!" Robin eyed her surprise sister. Tiny thing. Could Marika not get full sized parts back then? She didn't see the bulge of a wallet anywhere, she instinctively noticed. She must have left it at the door. Same for the others.

Smith approaches Melea as she is by the intercom, "Please inform them to bring my weapons as well." He said the words soft enough to hopefully prevent Robin and other potential nearby threats from hearing. Best to make them think he is harmless so that the intruder, or intruders, will simply focus their attention on his overpaid meat shield. The chances of a fight breaking out is extremely high right now, and he wants every element of surprise that he maintain.
Chase raises his arm, but not to shake Robin's hand. Instead, he extends his hand towards one of the doors leading to the hallway they walked through before entering the laboratory. The personal that Melea had just ask to bring Chase's weapons, (which are still in their mundane forms), may be surprise when his pen and pencil suddenly levitate and fly through the air as they make their way towards the soulless man. However, his other tools are remain still as they lack the same bond he has with his soul link weapons. Within a few moments, a pen and pencil emerge into the room and flies straight into the palm of his hand.
He doesn't have time to wait for the rest of his equipment to arrive as he prepares to strike Robin down with a quick surprise attack. Yet as soon as Marceline yelled, Chase hesitated. Knowing that killing the doll will likely upset his fellow bodyguard. Besides, he may be able to gain some vital information from her about the whereabouts of Marceline's creator. Well at least that explains why her soul is so unique. He places both objects into the inner pocket of his outfit as he tries his best not to appear too annoyed with his current situation.
"My name doesn't matter. Since you're a doll, I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt that you are being force to do this..." Though judging by her soul, with a personality like hers she could actually be more than willing to be a part of a heist, he thought. "...So, I'll let you and you fellow dolls leave unharmed if you surrender now." He could sense the others, and he had planned to take out one of them right away just to make things easier for himself. But now things have gotten more complicated then he would have like. "Just tell the rest of the siblings to come out with their hands over their heads." he said as his eyes are locked on her body behavior, while his spiritual senses are acting as a radar to pick up everyone around him.
If he couldn't use a surprise attack, he sure as hell isn't going to let them have one either he figured.

"Oh, and you know us too. Sorry buddy, but I'm solo." Robin shrugged. Chase's senses would show her to be telling the truth. No other souls lay behind the wall. "And that's why I'm not fighting five people byyyyyyye!" She threw her hands forward, palms out, and they spewed forth force and flames. The blast encompassed the room with fire and light for a split second, and when it cleared, she was gone. Explosions could be heard down the hallway, growing rapidly farther away. "Why did it have to be fire? She could give her any power and she went for fire..." Marceline mumbled. She had feared fire ever since Ashlea had scorched her neck, paralyzing her. It was with great reluctance that she approached the hole in the wall to follow her new sister.
"Not just fire. I think it's more along the lines of explosions." Gregor spoke as he picked himself off the ground. "It hurt me after all. I'm immune to fire." He explained for the sake of the guests. "The guards should be on alert, but if she's already gotten in, she's no doubt defeated several. I'm sorry to ask you to do this, but could you help us deal with her? We've been having doll activity in the region and I'm sure this is the culmination of their efforts." Melea wasn't sure whether to curse this timing or celebrate it.
On the one hand, it was certainly going to be suspicious to be attacked by dolls, and she may be forced to reveal her special helper sooner than she wished. On the other, this was the perfect opportunity to test him in combat. That and the HWIC would be more easily convinced she was in the right when the dolls were actively attacking her and she had witnesses from their own organization. "Don't worry, I'd do this for free." Marceline cracked her neck and pinched her neck. The pain was tiny. Not nearly enough to catch up. Oh well. Robin shouldn't be hard to track. She saw scorch marks all over the wall and floor down the hallway.

As soon as the explosions occurs, Chase has his front hand out to absorb the initial blast from hitting everyone else in the room. As the smoke clears he is already stranding in front of the hole wearing a full suit of heavy plate armor, though for him his outfit feels as light as air. His armor is glowing faintly red from the recent explosion, which also prevented him from counter striking Robin, since her attack manage to stun him momentarily. He didn't say a word, but just turns around for a moment to look at Smith with a particular facial expression that seeks permission. Smith nods his head, and the soulless man quickly steps into the hole and begins to pursue Robin as he follows her spiritual signature, rather then rely on the scorch marks like Marceline.
Smith waits patiently for Melea's men to return their weapons. As he is right now he wouldn't be able to deal with Robin, and likely the other dolls that are here. He read enough reports to know the dolls never act alone. And he doubts that today is the day they decide to deviate from the usual gameplan. "Melea, we should move to a more secure location," he suggested. Figuring that is the best move for them right now. He hates having to risk the lives of other people, especially when they are key individuals. Having her deal with the intruders personally is simple too big of a risk worth taking, regardless of her combat prowess.

"Oh, very well. I have a bunker this way." Melea pointed down the hallway the opposite direction to Robin's flight. "We probably won't need it, but let's be safe while your bodyguards and my guards sort this out." She began to lead Smith down past the same living quarters they had passed on the way there. "So, I take it you're confident in their ability to handle this?" She asked Smith. She didn't mind either way, but knowing their abilities could be useful.
Chase's weapons arrived in the next few seconds as Marceline began running down the hallway. Robin was about as easy to follow as she had expected. Blast marks marred the walls and scuffed the tiles through the halls. She followed them past nondescript doors until she found herself in the unfinished wing. Plastic covered the walls and construction frames were still leaned up, shielded from the outside by great blue tarps. Robin crouched up above, high in the frames. "Get down here!" Marceline demanded. "How about you come up here? After you deal with Josefina of course." Robin called back. "Who?" Marceline said just before a massive earthen fist plunged through the blue tarp and swung down at her. She dove back just in time, seeing the fist pummel the tile into shards. "Great, now she's a sculptor too..." Marceline grumbled, picking up a piece of pipe and holding it like a mighty longsword.

Smith smiles as he answer Melea's questions, "Of course." He believed in their abilities well enough, but he couldn't know for sure whatever or not they will be enough to handle the situation. Which is why once he gets his weapons back, his plans to go join them immediately as soon as the queen is secured. He is sure she would prefer to have them risk their own lives for her sake, even though Smith is going to make sure that it doesn't come down to such a scenario if he can help it. As they walk through the hallway, he examines their surrounding to look out for any potential threats, while also trying to learn more about Melea's palace and its layout.
Chase could sense a spirit nearby, but he did not expect its owner to be a massive golem. He leaps backwards to avoid the colossal stone's attack. "Are you really a doll?" he asked Josefina as he tries to search for any corpse nearby that is controlling the golem in front of him. Yet from what he can tell the solid stone is operating on its own willpower. "I'm not even sure if you count" he mumbled. He pulls out a pencil, which quickly transforms into a huge wooden bo staff made of tightly wrapped vines around the body. While spinning his soul link weapon in his right hand he looks up at Robin. "Marceline you can handle this," he said as he proceeds to leap high into the air with a swift jump, and starts to bounce off the walls to climb even higher and higher as he makes his way towards Robin's position.

Melea led Smith back past the entrance. "It's hidden in the kitchen, so we'll pass through there and-" A guard flew into view at the end of the hall, smashing into the wall. He smashed in half, top popping cleanly off to land besides the legs. Bare bones were revealed, a clean spine and ribs under the body armor. The bones rattled as they reached for its dropped gun, but it didn't manage before a tall Asian woman, wreathed in flames, stepped around the corner and swept her blade.
The gun fell in half and the torso was kicked back down the hallway. The woman turned towards Smith and Melea, revealing eyes filled with a fury more absolute than a mob calling for execution, harder to extinguish than a wildfire burning out of control. "Where is Marika!?" She yelled, marching towards the two. "Have you checked the prison? She is a criminal after all." Melea responded. "Melea, please! What do you even want with her!? Why did you call me here!?" She completely ignored Smith, bloodshot eyes fixed on Melea. Melea just looked to Smith. "I advise you to stand back. I'll deal with her." Something shimmered behind her, a mere shape, massive and humanoid, wings spreading wide. Yuu took one more step and something very solid slammed into her jaw.
A being that looked like a metal statue stood behind Melea. His face was effectively human, although with the glowing holes that served for eyes it was more like a mask. His muscular body was at least 10 feet tall and iridescent, a rainbow sheen shifting over his body. His wings were like dozens of curved sword blades welded together, slowly shifting and stretching. "Yuu Arachne. The evidence of your guilt is insurmountable. It clings to you like a skunk's stink. Judgement now comes to pass. Umshidi, be my guillotine!" The statuesque man stepped past Melea, slipping into a fighting stance as Yuu picked herself up. "Your will be done." He grumbled in a voice like something heavy and metal being drug over a hard floor.
"Yeah, leave me with the stone giant, sure." Marceline was actually quite thankful. She would rather fight the golem than the fire user. Josefina reached for her through the hole she had made and Marceline caught a glimpse of her stone head. It reminded her of Easter Island, but creepier because it was attached to a giant in a sun dress that was trying to grab her. She sidestepped and brought her pipe down as hard as she could on Josefina's finger. The pipe bent sharply, but dirt flew and Josefina's hand withdrew, leaving a finger on the ground. Marceline tossed the pipe aside and grabbed another one. "Try that again, fucker!" She yelled out at Josefina.
High above, Robin waited for Chase to arrive, squatting on the far end of the platform. "Hey buddy! Nice job getting up here." She greeted him when he arrived. "You really want to do this? Melea deserves to be robbed you know. You can get a take if you side with us!" Robin waved a shiny watch before stuffing it back in her pocket.

Smith steps back slowly as Umshidi approaches Yuu. -So that is the thing Chase mention earlier when he said something is off about Melea- He examines the humanoid and couldn't help but admire the creature's impressive appearance. Once he believes he is a safe distance away he makes sure to pay close attention to the burning doll as he studies her fighting style carefully to see if he can discover any weaknesses. Though he has a calm facial expression, underneath he is getting annoyed at how long it is taking Melea's men to bring him his gadgets. Assuming the worse, the men might have been killed already and his tools stolen.
-Guess I got to go with Plan B- He begins to send mental commands to the nano machines linked to his body to issue orders over his personal network, that is connected to his private jet at the airport. A few moments later a small box shape device opens up on top of the plane to reveal a small drone. The tiny machine soon takes flight and begins to fly through the air as it makes its way towards the palace. Considering the distance and the speed of his drone, Smith knew it will take a little over 3 minutes before the drone reaches his position.
Once he reaches the same platform as Robin he quickly smashes the ground with his bo staff with enough force to pierce the floor. He made the gesture in an effort to look more intimidating, at least that it what he wants the bandit to believe. "Honestly I couldn't give a fuck about Melea. And if Smith was here, he would probably offer you a deal, which would pay you better then whatever the hell you are getting from this. Unfortunately, I don't think you're the type of person who will step away from this kinda lifestyle, though personally I don't see anything wrong with it."
He rubs his beard with his other hand pretending to consider her offer. Yet all he is doing is giving himself more time to set up a few hidden roots, which slowly spread from his bo staff inside the platform and move towards the doll. -Good thing I'm not fighting the emotionless doll- he thought. Trying to pull of a sneak attack on a planet manipulator with plants didn't really work too well. "Besides, I doubt your boss will want me to be part of the team. Though if you tell me where she is, I'll gladly kill her for you." Chase said with a smile as his plants are just about to reach the area underneath Robin's feet.

Smith didn't have to wait three minutes, as it was only a second after he called his drone that a chill filled the air and a squad of fully armored guards ran around the corner. The clacking of jaws could be heard under the helmets of the one in the lead as he held out everything taken from Smith’s pockets. The others prepared to fire before Melea held up an arm. “Wait. Let’s see if Umshidi can handle this.”
Umshidi threw more mighty punches, keeping Yuu on her toes. She was playing defensive, ducking and weaving backwards down the hallway. Umshidi gave her no easy openings, arms up in a defensive boxing position when he wasn’t throwing jabs. Smith would see that when Yuu struck back, her movements were oddly clumsy, like she was fighting with her off hand. Melea saw no such thing, being far too slow to pick up on anything more than blurs. She would go over the security footage later, hopefully good enough to see how Umshidi did. The giant drove Yuu back bit by bit until her heel touched the wall. “Crush her.” Melea whispered, delight in her eye. She knew how powerful Yuu was. This was a fantastic demonstration of her warrior’s strength. Umshidi threw a mighty straight for Yuu’s face, but it never landed.
Yuu dropped under and rose to its side, blade coming up along Umshidi’s flank. She spun and stabbed, blade sinking into the a gap in his steel skin, right at the back of his knee. He dropped into a kneeling position, yanking the blade from her hands. Yuu didn’t hesitate, stepping forward out of the fallen giant’s range. “You. I doubt you’re involved. You should leave.” She said to Smith. Melea’s eye was bulging like she was on the surface of Mars. “You… he was supposed to be unbeatable! He outmatched you, I could see it!” “He was too big to guard his lower half against me. I just had to bait out the right attack.” Yuu explained, looking back at the burning line she had left across his side. “And I assure you that your soldiers will fare no better. Stand down and tell me where Marika is!”
“Read me a like a book, didn’t you? I’m not giving this up for anything. And of course I can’t tell you where Marika is. You should know that if you know dolls. I couldn’t tell you even if I knew.” Robin stood up and stretched. “Now, enough of this! We can chat while we fight! Gimmie that stick!” Robin took off with a blast from her feet, tearing apart the board they stood on on her end. The remaining board began to slope down sharply, but Robin was unperturbed as she flew through the air with a series of blasts. She flew right over Chase and aimed both her hands and feet at the end of the board he stood on. “Quadruple cannon!” She yelled, firing off a combined blast from all four limbs, enough to easily eradicate that end of the board as well, dropping Chase about three stories.

Smith equips himself quickly, yet he continues to command his drone to come regardless as it carried more gadgets that would be useful in this situation. As he watches the battle, Umshidi seem to have the upper hand until Yuu attack his lower body. Once the large humanoid is on one knee he figured it is over. She's good. But at this distance... He flicks his wrist outwards, and a moment later a visible stream of spiraling date emerges around his hand. Soon enough a smooth metallic gun materializes in his hand. With his other hand he reaches for a tiny blue crystal shape box. He prepares to take aim when he suddenly he hears Marika's name mention.
"Melea." he said as he continues to look at Yuu. "If you indeed know Marika Arachne's whereabouts, then I'll like to add a condition to our deal." His eyes look between Yuu and Melea as he tries to figure out what is going on here. "You will give me and the HWIC her location, and help us in anyway with capturing her." The Spider Seamstresse over the years has become one of the most dangerous criminals in the hidden world. Any opportunity to take her down must be capitalize immediately.
As Robin blasts off, Chase lifts his bo staff and angles it in such a way that one end is facing the doll's chest as she approaches. "Sure, you can have my stick." His helmet materializes over his head just as the explosion hits him. Suddenly the ground erupts beneath his feet as a series of roots sprout from the board and swiftly expand through the open air. They stretch until they cover the walls of the wing and grew in thickness. A few vines wrap around the body of the failing Chase, preventing him from falling any further. The vines unwrap around his body and grew large underneath him, until he has enough material to stand on as they merge with each other to create a platform from the hanging vines. He only manage to fall about a story, yet while he was falling to the ground the body of his bo staff itself expanded.
From Robin's perspective she will likely only have seen the explosions. Yet before the smoke could even clear up, Chase's soul link weapon emerge from the smoke and fire like a rocket as it seeks to smash into the doll at the center of her body. Thanks to his spiritual awareness the soulless man didn't need to see his opponent in order to know where to guide his strike. Without a pointed end it wouldn't be able to pierce her body as easily as his sword, but it would carry more than enough force to deal plenty of damage. And should his weapon hit her, he plans to continue the staff's expansion until he pushes Robin into the ceiling of the palace. All the while he commands the vines to multiple and spread towards his opponent in the air.

"We have her in captivity. She is being charged for crimes in our country, so you don't need to waste the HWIC's time on her." Melea said nonchalantly. Yuu's eyes flared and she rushed forward. Melea stepped back, but she was nowhere near fast enough to escape as Yuu bore down on her. Yuu pulled back her fist, ready to break one of Melea's anorexic limbs, but before she reached her target, she slammed into something. She staggered back, eyes wide. The barrier wasn't invisible, but it had no real form of its own.
It was like a funhouse mirror, but instead of a warped reflection, it distorted everything on the other side. A fist met her back and she was slammed into the barrier, bouncing off to be struck again. Umshidi relentlessly juggled her off the impenetrable wall, each blow more brutal than the last. Finally, she was allowed to fall and the barrier vanished. "I apologize for allowing myself to be injured." He patted his fists to snuff the flames there. "It will not happen again. What do you wish me to do with the criminal?" Melea stroked her chin. "Smith, would you settle for Yuu in your custody? She is infamous on her own, after all." The doll lay still, off hand mangled by the beating and face looking puffy and strange, lacking blood to pool for a bruise.
Robin's grin of success faded when the pole came rocketing out of the smoke for her. She didn't have time to manuver out of the way and it caught her squarely in the stomach, doubling her over in midair. She stayed stunned for a second before she realized she was still going, taking the big stick express to the ceiling. She grabbed the pole and swung herself up to plant her feet on top. Tiny explosions from her palms maintaining her balance, she ran down the pole at the armored devourer of souls. "Oh, thank you! Please sir, may I have another!?" She threw a spinning kick for his head, still standing on the pole.

He stares at Yuu without moving from his position. He didn't need to get a closer to tell how badly beaten she is. Besides considering the doll's abilities, he didn't see the need to risk himself by getting within her striking range if she manages to come back around. While he keeps his eyes on the doll, he replies to Melea, "I'll gladly accept Yuu, but I must insist on knowing how you have managed to capture Marika, and how you are currently holding her prisoner. I can't guarantee that other hidden world organizations will not try to expedite her in some fashion. As you are well aware, she is a high profile international criminal. And in order to justify to my superiors that there is no concern of her escape, I will need to know how you are holding her in custody. Otherwise, I will be left with no choice but to report to the HWIC that there isn't any evidence to support my confidence in your ability to maintain Marika."
As Chase watches the doll run down his pole in the back of his mind he can hear Smith's words, -Do not kill her.- Well, her annoying ass explosions are kinda making it really hard to restrain her! He wanted to compline to the billionaire, but he knew even if Smith was here he wouldn't listen. Damn it. I should have just killed her right away before anyone could have said anything. That way Marceline wouldn't get pissed at me even if she learned that I killed a doll, since she would know that I didn't know it at the time. Fuck! I ain't got no choice now.
"Don't test me," Chase said as he bobs his head to avoid her predictable spinning kick. Had she aim for my chest she would have had a better chance of kicking me towards the ground, he thought. Considering her ego, she better be a much better thief than she is a fighter. The plants all around him converge onto Robin's position. Coming at her from all angles. Even more roots emerge from the body of the pole itself, which quickly travel from her shoes to her ankles. His vines seek to entangle Robin's appendages and spread her limbs apart so that her body would resemble the Vitruvian Man with his limbs extended outwards.
While one hand remains on his bo staff, his free hand opens up to reveal a pen, which suddenly transforms into a sword. He thrust his sword quickly at Robin's throat, yet he stops his hand to ensure the tip of his blade doesn't pierce her neck as he plans to lets the warm steel tip rest on the dead skin around her Adam's apple. After all, fear cuts deeper than swords. "Got anymore stupid quotes?" he asked regardless if Robin manages to evade getting trapped by his plants or not.

"I think you overestimate her. She is a child, and a moronic one at that. I have her in solitary confinement with two death knights on guard duty. And as you can see, her rescue squad is pathetic." Melea didn't add that Marika was in a private dungeon in the palace, not in the actual prison, and Yuu was well aware of that. She looked back to Yuu, making sure she hadn't moved. Still silent and extinguished on the floor. Good. She had some plans, but actually capturing the dolls was even better. It looks good for the HWIC, and I get to keep her around a little longer, she thought.
"As for capturing her, I just needed an insider. I won't tell you who for her sake, but I found a way to let one of the dolls sell out her master and she did it in a heartbeat. She got Marika where we wanted her alone. She requested we kill her, but we convinced her to make do with captivity and a place on my payroll." It had been easy to convince a doll that they would need a powerful backer with Marika out of the way to keep the rest out of trouble. The rest was history now.
Robin found herself caught by the vines coming from the pole and her surroundings. Her limbs were uncomfortably stretched out. Oof, I need to work on my flexibility. Still, a grin came to her face as her palms and soles angled themselves. "Oh, I have the stupidest. Let's try spinning!" All four surfaces let out explosions and she spun in a cartwheel, tearing apart the vines holding her. She used the momentum to attempt kicking the sword aside and threw a low kick with what remained when she landed on the platform. "That's a good trick!" She declared with a grin that displayed a disgusting amount of self satisfaction.

"An insider..." repeated Smith to himself in a low whisper. He knew it is possible to remove Marika's influence and control from a doll, such as the case for Marceline. Yet, he is surprise that one of the dolls manage to trick their creator. "And you say the doll is working for you now...Not sure why you must hide her identity from me. If it actually is a she." he said as he waits to notice if Melea's reacts to him questioning the mention gender as being accurate or not before continuing. "I'm no threat to the doll...unless the doll is doing something that warrants my hand." Again he waits for a reaction before he going on to say, "Regardless, the most crucial individual we are talking about is Marika. And child or not, she is extremely dangerous with a record to prove it. Meanwhile, I still don't have anything solid to bring back with me to show the HWIC higher ups that your current facility is appropriately suited to keep her contain in her cell. And honestly, from what I heard so far, I think you may be the one underestimating her."
While the doll is believed to be trapped by the vines, Chase retracts his bo staff to its usual size. For a moment he considers calling down to Marceline to see how she is doing with the golem. Yet before he could shout he hears Robin talk about spinning. "What wait?" As she unleashes the explosions he swiftly pulls his sword away from her throat and watches as Robin breaks free from the vines and hurls at him with a cartwheel, forcing him to leap off his platform. As he hangs in midair he points his staff at her, this time commanding the plants that made up the platform she is standing on, which includes the plants connecting to the walls around them, to tighten up and create a lot of tension as they stretch higher up.
"Let's try this again." said Chase as he release the tension that has been building up around the platform, causing the platform to become the pocket of his human size slingshot. Unlike a normal slingshot, rather than pulling the pocket to create the tension force for the ammunition to be launch, he instead push the ends of the plants attach to the walls, or what could be consider the prongs in this situation, further away from Robin to create the necessary strain to fire the doll at inhuman speeds towards the ceiling once he relaxed the vines.

"All dolls are women, so yes, a she. I simply don't want to offer that information in front of Yuu. She is an enemy after all. Marika's danger doesn't come from any physical abilities of her own but her ability to command the dolls to fight for her. Solitary as she now is, she is incapable of escape." Stop underestimating me. Or are you trying to peer into my plans? Melea wondered, tapping her foot until it suddenly stuck. She looked down with disgust, finding something wet and sticky had spread across the tile from Yuu's body.
"What is-get away from the puddle!" She yanked her own shoe off diving back just as the whole thing burst into flames. Umshidi was trapped, feet stuck to the floor by the tacky nature of the tears. "Umshidi!" Melea called as he jerked and twitched in the flames, finally wrenching up chunks of the tile off the floor and jumping out. His iridescent body was largely a uniform red now, and he breathed hard. "I am sorry. I have allowed her to harm me." He gasped, holding his chest.
"Don't apologize, deal with her." Melea ordered, stepping back from the rising doll. "I'm afraid you can't have her alive. She's clearly too dangerous for that." She apologized to her guest as Umshidi waited for Yuu to leave her flames. She didn't seem interested in coming out, just staying safely out of reach. "I will burn your corruption from this world, Melea." Yuu snarled. "You have no idea what corruption is. Your master is toxic mold and you're the leak that lets the damp in." Melea spoke flatly. She had what she needed. Yuu was just another blot on her perfect world she needed to scrub away.
"You're a lot more agile than a guy in that much armor has any right to be." Robin complained as the platform began to tense up. She felt the motion in her feet and looked down. She couldn't just fly up, it would snap up and hit her anyway. Different plan then. She did a backflip off the platform just before it snapped up. She took the time to flip down the goggles that were on her forehead down over her eyes and the bandana holding back her hair over her mouth and nose. Alright, time to stop going easy on the fucker. She stopped her momentum with a few explosions and flew back up to meet Chase.
With all four of her engines free to fire, she flew with unbelievable speed. She blasted up in front of Chase within kissing distance. "Congratulations, you've made me use one of my bandit arts! Army of Darkness!" She blasted away, and away, and away, stopping for just the tiniest second at all angles before shooting off again, the flare of light on her body leaving a bright afterimage in the eyes of anybody looking. She looked like a whole swarm of Robins until she jetted right for Chase's back to wrap her legs around his torso and her scarf around his neck. "You know, Army of Darkness isn't really the best for a closed environment, is it?" She had bumps all over and a few cuts in her skin and clothing from crashing into the walls and platforms. I'm faster than Martha at top speed, but that counts for a lot less when I can't see where I'm going.

During their conversation Smith formulates a plan of attack while keeping a gun pointed at the doll, "Melea, I will help you. But we are going to do everything we can to capture her alive. Otherwise I will have to make plans with the HWIC to have Marika relocated to a HWIC facility," he said in such a tone that it will be clear to the queen the billionaire has no intentions of negotiating with her anymore on the matter. He will either have Yuu or Marika. At least that is what he wants her to think. Thanks to his equipment he is already recording and uploading a live feed to his personal computer. Not only to use later for personal use, but to show what has transpire here already to his superiors should the need ever arise. And more importantly should anything happen to him he will have the evidence prepare to proof Melea's betrayal if she turns on him. "Considering how capable you are, I assume you're confident that you can succeed here correct?" he asked the doll as he continues to have his gun pointed at her. "I promise you, if you surrender peacefully, I will make sure to help free you of Marika's control like we did for your other sisters. However, if you continue to struggle, I will stop you myself." -Regardless I will still help free you of her control- he thought to himself. Should she say no to his peaceful offer he plans to fire a laser bullet past her head in such a fashion it will likely make her believe she has dodge his shot with ease. Which he imagines will lower her perception about him being a threat, and will then force her to focus more of her attention on Melea and her creature, who she will believe with be the bigger threats. Yet while she isn't focusing on his actions he will use his ability to manipulate the trajectory of his laser and make the laser beam that just pass her head to do a quick turnaround and come back at her from behind on a new trajectory to take out one of her knees. From what he can tell from her previous exchanges is that she is extremely nimble. Thus he will need to remove her mobility first in order to win. And should his plan fail he will just shot her with more shots to maintain their current distance from each other until he can incapacitate her. And should that also fail he still has the crystal cube in his other hand. For now, his biggest risk here will be to ensure his shots don't hit Melea or the creature as he manipulates the lasers. Which will force him to delay his actions to avoid friendly fire.
"Well shit," he said as Robin performs a backflip. -Looks like I will need to work on my speed when it comes to manipulating the plants.- As he watches Robin he notices how she adjusted her attire. - Guess you finally gotten serious. Maybe I should stop taking this so easy myself.- As she flies towards him Chase waves his bo staff. The nearby vines soon merge onto his position in order to create another platform underneath him. By the time she reaches him face to face he has manage to establish a foothold for himself. Under his helmet the doll wouldn't be able to see his reaction as she informs him of the name of her upcoming attack. As she commences her Army of Darkness he tells her, "Give it your best shot. But if you disappointment me I might just end this fight with my next attack," he taunted with a smile he hides behind his helmet. Chase never truly relies on his eyes when he fights, which is especially helpful for him in situations like this. For the most part no matter how many afterimages a person can create it would be meaningless against him if his opponent can not replicate and or manipulate their spiritual presence as well. After all, his spiritual awareness could let him keep track of someone far better than his eyes. Still her movements are incredibly fast. So fast in fact that he would need to use more spirit energy to keep up with her physically. Yet he instead chooses to wait for Robin to strike from behind. His reasons are simple. He wishes to reserve spirit energy, and he wants her to commit to her attack before he counters. As she throws her legs around his torso he figures at this range she won't be able to avoid his next attack. Without even moving his sword, Kagutsuchi, summons an omnidirectional blast of flames. Thanks to his control with Kagutsuchi, Chase could avoid burning the platform he is standing on. However, everything else within half a dozen meter radius of him will be swallowed up by flames burning at thousands of degrees. "Let's see if you can handle the heat." His attack will slightly increase the overall temperature of the room, but not by too much as he will trap the majority of the heat within a confine space, yet he couldn't prevent the flames from brighting up the place. Should the dolls below look up they may mistake his flames for a miniature sun.
