Dan balked for a second when Haruko told him to go, but as much as he'd like to stay, he needed to move. "Okay... we'll talk later, okay?" He had a lot to say about the incident where the avatar had taken him over. He just didn't know if he could say it. He looked between his choices and picked swiftly. Lara had less pressure on her. He lunged into the air and a ball of energy swirled into existence in his palm. He just grinned and dropped it right at the gun wielding guard just before he landed, rolling away from the resultant explosion. "Have we met? Right, I blew up your little club. Mind moving aside so I can do it to your gate too?" His body language instantly became more assertive and aggressive. Battle really was his only way to express himself.
The little candle light of plasma danced in Rin's eyes as her swings hit air, the invisible gambler deftly avoiding every strike. "Maybe, but I have to say the odds aren't good! You're inexperienced and stupid! I can tell by the way you lose control!" She threw a high kick at Rin's chin with the intent of breaking her jaw. She moved her blade into position to open up Rin's rib cage, but Gen's roar threw her off balance. "Lana, we've got-"
Distracted by Gen's rage, she was utterly floored by something slamming into her back. The wind was blown out of her and she stumbled forward, right into Rin's swing. There was a sort of "chud" noise of a blade cutting into armor and suddenly a little bit of Clover was visible. Blood painted her arm red, something her camoflage couldn't cover. Rin's blade bit right into the weak shoulder joint. Her remaining blade sizzled as it dropped onto the bridge. She looked into Rin's face with shock until Gen's fist ripped her free of the blade in a spray of blood. She screamed and fell back, scrambling away from them. "Heh... looks like the odds for that were better than I thought..."
"Aw." Huntsman's face melted with disappointment. One eye followed the cube as he bent to hide inside of Chase's shield from the blast. "Oh well... I'll get another chance." He slithered out into the smoke. "For now, we kill the bridge guards and see if we can carve through that gate. Think you can melt it?" Huntsman hissed as his body stretched like taffy. The monster paused before the bridge when he saw Gen's regeneration. "Looks like they beat me to the limb severing. I'll have to make up for it with far more in return!" Huntsman's jaws bulged out as something began pushing out. Manibles folded forth, like insectoid limbs tipped with scythes. They stretched his lips into a mad grimace as he laughed, filling the bridge with an unbearable noise.
He slipped right past Rin and Gen, fixing them each individually in one eye. "Heh, not bad. But this is how you do it." Clover couldn't back away fast enough Huntsman's head snapped forward and there was a single quick noise like cutting a baby carrot. Huntsman's mandibles shoved themselves into his mouth, pushing his meal down his throat. Clover wailed on the ground, bleeding stump where her injured arm had been spitting blood all over the pavement. "See, that's a severed limb."

"Hmmmm" he said casually as he watches the battle. Within a few seconds an idea pops into his head. Chase moves away from Huntsman and towards a different section of the wall entirely, a bit further from the bridge, but still within eyesight of it. Hoping that no one notices him, He taps the ground a few times with his wooden staff covered in vines. A few seconds later and the ground around him begins to stir and shift until a few roots emerge. At first the roots were small, but soon enough they grew and twisted together, until they transom into what appears to be a staircase of plants that stretch from the ground to the top of the wall. He quickly climbs the steps and reaches the top of the structure.
A moment later, he commands the plants that made up the staircase to retract back into the ground. As the plants gradually unfold and sink back into the dirt, the soulless man quickly rushes over to the section of the wall where the others are fighting. With one fluid motion, he lifts his staff high above his head, only to swiftly thrust it downwards The wooden material that makes up his staff is rather incredible, as it can penetrate through even the most durable metal with relative ease, at least in respect to the normal metals that mundane people are accustomed to. Yet, even if this strange structure is made out of hidden world materials, he is still confident that it could break through the surface of this roof. Once he plants his staff into the ceiling, roots containing a special fluid begins to spread around the base of the staff as his attempts to create a network of roots inside the immediate area of the wall surrounding the gate and the bridge.
As plants start to grow and cover his feet, Chase quickly pulls out a pen, which transforms into a majestic sword, with flames burning along the edge of the blade. He stands there waiting patiently for the roots to settle properly, as well as to produce an explosive fluid that he created himself. Design to go off only when a certain amount of his spirit flames ignite the fluid. This combination between his soul link weapons allowed him to created his own version of TNT, so that he could conserve spirit energy, will still creating a devastating blow to his enemies. A few plants soon enough begin to expand inside the bridge itself, growing underneath as it continues to spread. Soon enough, the plants will be able reach Clover and Lara, and hopefully manage to wrap them.

His foe quickly traded places with her companion. Even more quickly, said companion fired at him. Arthur quickly created a small platform to his side and pushed off with his left hand. He managed to move everything vital that way, but some bullets still went through his left arm. It also made sure his fist hit nothing but air, but he detonated the icy energy in it which forced Lara to dodge.
After twisting his body in the air to get himself upright, Arthur created an ice platform which to land on before continuing his attack. But Lara was faster. Her grenade flew towards him, but his ice platform tilted backwards and the deadly device bounced off of it. Sadly, it couldn't fly all the way back towards her before it exploded, but Arthur's platform served as a nice barrier between him and the shrapnel.
"I tried being nice, lady. I tried not outright killing people. But you almost blew my arm off!" Creating an ice sword in his healthy hand, Arthur leapt at her, who was hopefully distracted by Dan. Despite what he just said, he still only aimed at her arm, the one she used to fire her shotgun at him.

The resulting chaos from Gen’s furious entrance made Lara look over just enough to not notice Dan approaching and creating his ball of energy. It was only when her HUD picked up the energy signature that Lara turned to meet the fighter as he threw the attack. The mercenary quickly leaped back to avoid the initial impact...but the resulting explosion sent Lara flying backwards and shattering some of the thick armor on her body. Arthur’s following attack nearly sliced off Lara’s arm, only making a large gash across her back as she rolled out of the way.
Things were not going well at all. Clover’s arm had been severed by this other newcomer, and if the plants approaching were any indication, there were more arriving soon. It was time to get out of here. Lara reached into a small pouch inside of her armor and pulled out a small rolled-up piece of paper tied by a red chord. She pulls the cord off and sprints toward Clover, activating her com link. “Mission aborted! Send in the top guard!” She says as Lara grabs Clover off the ground and plants her hand on the scroll, both of them teleporting away from the scene.
Haruko leaped back on top of the bridge to survey the damage. The two fighters were gone...and it seemed like a few others were joining in. Haruko raised her hand up and began calling out. “Everyone! Gather around, if you wouldn’t mind.” She said, trying to get everyone’s attention. Sid approaches the bridge after escaping the casino finally and walks up to everyone, lowering his right eyebrow slightly at Gen. “Welp; I’m here now. Looks like we missed the party. You dudes ready to walk in there?” He asks. Haruko nods her head and turns to everyone. “Does anyone need treatment? I have painkillers and first aid on me. Talk to me as we go inside!” She says, beginning to walk toward the open door. The battle had reduced the bridge to a patchwork mess of holes and destroyed bits of the side. Sid held his arms behind his head and looked at Gen. “So...what’s up?” He asks, not sure why Gen’s angry.
---
Both Lara and Clover tumble onto the floor of the office where Joe and Lance were observing the action from. Several monitors depicted the group at the bridge, with a few focused on particular individuals. Lance looked surprised when he saw Clover and her missing arm. “What happened?! Who has torn your arm asunder?!” He asks. “Some monster... I think it was Huntsman.” “HUNTSMAN, IS HE?!” Lance placed his right foot on top of a nearby table, looking up at the ceiling. “What foul beast, he is! I shall slay him personally for this assault on our pride!” Lance proclaims. Joe rolled his eyes slightly at Lance’s dramatic speech...but nodded his head. “Sure. Should we release...her? She is right where they are headed?” He asks. “YES! Be swift, young man! We shall destroy these intruders with our combined might!” Lance yells out, holding one of his shining steel swords in the air. Joe opens his cellphone and begins talking to somebody on the other end. “Yeah, we need HER released. Make sure to stay away as far as possible when you unlock the restraints.” He says, a small chill running up his spine as he remembers the monster lurking behind the wall.
Deep underground, she lurked. She looked with hate at all that passed by her, but she couldn’t move to strike. Wires protruding from her spine were like chains holding her back. Physically she could pull against them, but her powers were bound. Her deep red eyes followed the figures that moved around outside her cell, more frantic than usual to her imagination. She tried to think of why, but thinking was so hard. It was the metal they put in her skull. It made her stupid. It made her hate more, but when she was smart she hated better. When she was smart she made people’s hearts pop, made their brains rattle in their skulls until they dribbled out their ears. Now she couldn’t remember how to attack what she couldn’t see. She couldn’t remember why they robbed her of her sex as well, but she remembered it happened every time she looked down at her body and saw those plates and wires.
She looked up and saw the men and women in white coats were gone. Before she could try to think of why, there was a click and agony shot through her spine. She screamed and fell to her hands and knees, arching her back like a beast. Despite this, her face was twisted in a smile. She knew that pain. It meant she was free. Her first act was obvious. Of course, she didn’t know why. The cell’s foot-thick plexiglass wall fell apart when she thought about how much she hated it. She thought about her siblings as she walked through the shards, machines and devices tearing themselves apart at her whim. She danced in the sparks and looked to the ceiling. Was the lion in the pit? Was she to devour the criminals thrown to her? Would she be able to climb free and kill everyone in the stands? Kill the emperor? Kill Rome? Kill the entire fucking world at long last?

-Angry? Why would I be angry? I'm finally free.- Gen’s mouth was moving, replying to Sid’s question, but the voice coming out from it wasn’t Gen’s, lacking the distinct crude tone, being replaced by a triumphant almost sing-songish tune. Flickering golden points of light had replaced his pupils and his face was locked in a stupid grin of satisfaction, something that the former Spirit Boxer would never do. Rin, still pumped up with adrenaline, raised her sword with anger directly at her brother. -Who’re you!?- She angrily asked, the tip of her blade perfectly still aimed at Gen’s (?) throat. Whoever was using Gen’s body at the moment raised both hands, the armored one vanished returning to its usual arm, only that a massive scar connected both parts of the arm. -Cool your jets missy, I’m just taking the wheel from the stubborn stone headed idiot you call brother, he was going to get both of us killed losing his cool after seeing a bunch of human slaves...- He opened his hand revealing the Gainen Medal between his index and thumb glancing at Sid as he did. -You know what this is, right, Impact Host?-

The two women disappeared and everything went quiet. "So I know I said we should go though before the reinforcements get here before. But that girl literally said 'Send in the top guard' just now. Maybe we should put some spring in our step before they get here." Arthur said, hopping over a hole. He used a healing spell on himself to patch up his arm. Bandages and painkillers wouldn't do much to help with that.

Chase could only sigh in disappointment when the foes disappear . He quickly retracts his plants back into his staff and with one smooth motion he pulls the soul link weapon out of the concrete, while simultaneously transforming his blazing sword back into its mundane shape, and placing the sword/pen into one of the interior pockets of his jacket. He examines the area for a brief moment with his spiritual senses as he attempts to figure out if the opponents they had just face where still on the island. Within a few moments, he could figure out their general location, along with picking up two other souls with them that seem akin to their own spirits. -Hopefully they decide to stick around after I finish my mission here- he thought to himself. Yet, he didn't just detect their souls with his search. Within the structure he is standing on he could detect other notable souls. After a few moments of debating with himself, he finally jumps down to join the group.
He lands with enough force to create two distinguishable footprints in the bridge. He looks at Gen for a moment, just to determine if he is a threat or not, not caring for the fact that he has two unique personalities. He has dealt with the two in one scenario too many times already, himself included, and typically one personality tends to be a bit more bloodthirsty then he prefer. He quickly looks at Haruko as that particular thought passes through his mind before quickly turning his attention back to the gainen medal. He could sense that the entity in possession of Gen's body reside in some form inside the metal, but beyond that he couldn't get much of a reading. Still, at the very least the entity is not hostile, so he didn't have a reason to be concern for his own safety.
As Arthur suggests they hurry up, Jose leaps back onto the bridge. The man remains silent as he didn't want to speak due to the embarrassment he feels for not being able to help the team against Clover and Lara. In his mind, he makes a promise to himself that he will defiantly step up when an opportunity presents itself as his own means of self-attointment.

Huntsman twisted into a bipedal, vaguely humanoid shape for swifter movement. He was strikingly curvaceous, but his body was of a texture akin to a worm, not anything human, and his arms were twiggy things tipped with scythes. He fixed one of his three eyes on Gen as he passed through the gap made by Fumi. "I knew that little disk was trouble. Listen here, Mr. Extra Meat in the Meathead. I like Gen a hell of a lot more than you, so I'd rather you gave him back and went on your merry way. If not, well, we'll see what happens. I'm sure I'll think of something." He roved his eyes around on the other side of the wall. Just what did this Henry want him to look for?
Dan slumped over when Lara retreated instead of fighting him. "I didn't mean it..." He sighed and adjusted his hat with both his hands as he straightened up. He wiped his face again to remove the blood still leaking from the lacerations Huntsman had left in his face. He stepped forward, glad to have an excuse to talk to Haruko. "Yeah, I need something for my face." He pointed to the stubbornly bleeding cuts. "So, I didn't get a chance to talk to you before. How have you been since the... Siberian incident." Oh god. First time getting a real in person conversation with her since then and he brought it up in the second sentence. He was bad enough socially before a year of analysis in jail to make sure he wouldn't do it again.

Haruko looked up at Dan and nodded her head, taking out a small bottle of disinfectant and putting it on a small piece of cloth. "Alright, hold still..." She made sure the wound on his head was clean before taking out a roll of thin gauze strips and placing three of them across the lines Huntsman had made across his face. As she applied the treatment, Haruko began to answer his questions. "Well...not much has changed. Cosmina and Kate are doing well. Business is growing at a nice rate still. We have a few more recruits to the seamstress guild, so that's fun!" She responds to Dan's question. "Have you been doing alright after getting out of...?" She paused. It was rude to say that he has been in prison for the past year, especially with other people around.
"Huh...a medal." Sid noted after the gainen showed him what was in his hand. So this dude knew he was the Impact user, huh? It seemed like both Rin and Huntsman were making threats to this new dude, so it was probably smart to divert them a bit. "Hang on you two. Just let the weird alien dude do his thing. These two have been connected for a while...right? I'm sure they worked it out." Truthfully, Sid didn't care either way. Haruko was already walking toward the open door. "Come on, everyone! Before reinforcements get here!" The seamstress calls over to the group.
Inside the wall, the group would see what Gen had spoke about; several people in old, dirt-stained clothes were walking around transporting crates out of a nearby tunnel toward massive steel building on the far wall. The building was almost unnaturally uniform in its shape...made up of many large square sections of steel several meters long and welded together. The sun was completely blocked out by the massive ceiling above them and the walls completely surrounding the area, the only source of light being the various fluorescent lights placed along the ceiling and an array of street lamps shining a more yellow light onto the ground below. The people didn't seem to notice the group at all...keeping their heads straight as they trudged along with large metal ankle bracelets attached to their legs.
Haruko stared at the scene with a mixture of awe and disgust. "What...is this...?" She asked aloud to nobody in particular. Upon looking at a crate someone was carrying, she noticed an odd assortment of metal parts jutting out of the wooden box. Haruko briefly looked at the flier the mission objectives were written on. "Investigate the area behind the wall, and take note of security measures. We have already seen the squad of guards and the two girls from earlier, so that counts as security. Fan out and see what you can find!" Haruko calls out. There were several run-down houses along the street leading up to the massive steel building...so perhaps one of these people could tell them more about what's going on. "Come on, Frosty. You're with me." The seamstress states, looking over at Arthur and motioning for him to follow. Sid merely shrugged his shoulders and began wandering toward a house on the opposite end of the street.
---
She walked through the twisted steel that was a door before she had decided destroying it was quicker than figuring out how to open it. Her choice paid off. There were still technicians in the hall. A piece of steel whipped off the ground and tore a gaping hole in one’s chest, dropping her instantly. The other was reversed in his movements, pulled backwards like a rope had suddenly yanked him backwards. She stopped his skull with her palm. The rest of his body carried on down the hallway until it crashed into her former restraints. She looked at the head in her hands with disgust and it imploded into a tiny meaty ball. She hated these people. They were the ones who chained her to the wall, the ones who took her mind. They sponged her down and cleaned her nodes. They kept her working, but they did not care if she was alive. Her thoughts stopped wandering after a few more rooms and hallways.
She was now splattered with blood. She couldn’t remember when it happened. She was always losing time now. So hard to focus. What was she doing? Was it time for cleaning? She looked around, hoping for hints. The room was one she remembered. The floor was so squishy. Soft. The texture repulsed her. She couldn’t think of why. Maybe revulsion was just her natural reaction. Maybe it was something they took away. She shuddered at the thought. Yes, this had to do with that. She couldn’t remember what, but it was making her head ache. She slumped to her knees on the soft, soft floor and held her head. The walls cracked and crumbled, rivets in the steel shooting across the hallway to pin down the steel on the other side, a destructive trade. She hadn’t seen the button on the other side of the room. Perhaps it was best she hadn’t. She would probably hate it.

Once inside the earth shaker begins to scan the area with all of his senses as he follows behind Haruko and Arthur. He is looking out for any more security, while at the same time he is searching for anything that could explain what the hell is going on here. He is tempted to walk up to someone with a metal ankle bracelet attached to their leg and ask them a few questions before freeing them, yet he knew that would probably just help security find them quicker. However, none of them even bother to look in their direction. The way they behave seem almost inhuman to him, and he couldn't help but feel sorry for these people. "Haruko...we should help these people while we are here." Jose whispered as he continues to look out for any armored guards. "I know we have a mission and all, but we can't just leave them like this."
Chase walks alongside Huntsman as he ignores the people around him. He didn't even seem concern with the guards showing up. Then again, he would normally be able to tell whenever somebody hostile is getting close. "You interested in making a bet to see who gets the most kills?" he asked the only person in the world he calls friend. "How does this sound. If I win, you have to agree to pay for all the drinks the next time we go. And if you win, I'll let you come with me during my next training session with Aine." He figures that Aine wouldn't be able to kill his friend during a sparing match, so no real risk of the shapeshifter dying. Thus making this deal a win-win for him. If he wins, he gets more free drinks, and if he loses, then Aine gets to beat the shit out of someone else. "Sounds like a fair deal right?" he asked with a charming smile before he splits off from him. If he wants to win, he will have to stay away from Huntsman, knowing that his companion will likely try to steal his kills during their contest. Surprising enough, he found himself now walking close to Dan and Gen.

-Gen wherever you are come back!- Rin got closer to her brother, clearly distressed, grabbing him by the collar. Gen, or at least whatever was in the driver’s seat at the moment, laughed. -What’re you talking about sis? I’m inside here, and I’m feeling super good.- The more he talked the less like Gen he sounded, no “Fucks” or coarse words in-between his phrases, even his face looked a bit different, less burdened by the experiences he suffered during the last years, he almost looked 5 years younger. Whoever was controlling Gen turned to Huntsman. -I'm totally fine Huntsman, no need for alarm. Listen to Sid, he knows that using Gainen Medals is totally fine.- More weirdness, as the former Spirit Boxer would never remember the names of people around him or even if he did he would always end up giving them nicknames.
-GEN! I don’t want to lose you again- Rin shook his brother again with tears on her eyes and finally there was some reaction as the non-transformed hand of Gen started moving independently from the rest of his body and he looked at it with a mix of surprise and amusement. -Come on Gen, you don’t think you can win this, do you?- The Gainen of Battle controlling Gen said with a chuckle, before the right hand grabbed the back of his head and pulled towards the door. It was a single pull but the momentum was more than enough to get Gen’s head crashing into the heavy metallic door. The Gainen was too surprised to react and upon clashing forehead first against it the enhanced arm was dispelled into nothingness, leaving his normal left arm, healed but with a nasty scar, on its place. Gen fell to one knee, blood gushing from his forehead over his eyes.
There was a moment of silence until finally the former Spirit Boxer stood up and punched the door while shouting. -GOD FUCKIN’ DAMMIT!- Rin, who had almost began sobbing, afraid of losing her brother to whatever took over, sighed with relief, knowing that this was actually Gen. He used the tattered sleeve of his suit to bandage the gash over his face and turned around, suddenly getting hugged by Rin. -Come on, did ya think some fuckin’ idiot trapped inside a medal could fuck with me?- He tried to sound confident but there was a hint of fear of fear on his voice, a hint Rin was too happy to notice. Since he left the prison he was trapped in, the mysterious Dimensional Waypoint in Dr. Lazarus Lab he had been feeling the claws of the Gainen lurking within him, engaging in a tug of war with him for control of his body. The moment of anger and pain he experienced minutes earlier was more than enough of an opening for the Gainen to enter.
-I’m okay Rin, won’t happen again.- He also looked at the others. -I’m sorry about this, I can’t leave the Medal alone but if I have it sometimes the fuckin’ idiot livin’ inside can try to get the fuck out, but I can rein him in.- He tried to sound convincing, as he knew at least some of these people were actually responsible human beings and they wouldn’t like having an unstable element among them.

"Alright, he's boring now. I'm going to stab him and if that doesn't make him turn back to normal, I'll just keep stabbing until it does." Huntsman raised one of his schythe arms and began slowly waddling towards Gen. On the other end of the group, Dan leaned over to give Haruko access to his face. "Prison. It's alright, you can say it. It's been... complicated. I'm doing my best with Qing, but it's hard. He's wonderful, he's the only thing I've got going for him, but I don't know how to take care of kids. I'm not as talented as you. And I'm broke, which is why I'm doing this. It's getting to the point I'm almost ready to- oh for fuck's sake. I'll be right back." He saw Huntsman approaching Gen out of the corner of his eye.
"Huh? He's back to normal? ...better stab him once just in case." Huntsman readied his scythe, but Dan rushed in between them. "What the fuck is wrong with you? If you don't cause somebody misery every five minutes, will you just die?" He growled, glancing back at the man he was protecting. He looks familiar. He thought. I think I've seen him somewhere, maybe once or twice. "No, I'm just very thorough when it comes to extradimensional objects. You know, like you. I never did finish killing your body after I got your spirit, did I?" Huntsman delighted in the mockery, quivering and dripping with pungent yellow slime that coated his blades. "I'm not fighting you again. I hate you, but unlike you I actually want to help people, and to do that, we have to work together. Why am I the one with social skills here!?" Dan despaired.
Huntsman lolled his head about in unnatural ways and let out a laugh exactly mimicking canned sitcom laughter. "Ah, you're both too cute to kill now! I'm getting so fucking soft. Must be something I ate." All three of his eyes became human, specifically Chinese. Dan twitched and Huntsman laughed again as he walked past. "Oh, I like this bet. Deal! Forgive me if I don't shake hands." Huntsman waved one of his insectoid arms. He started thinking about Aine as he eyed the factory workers. "Oh, Huntsman, I love your ability to survive my brutal violence, please absorb me and make me a part of yourself so you can kill even better!" He practically drooled, not even considering the possibility of losing. "Let's get an early head start!" He laughed as he turned and lunged at Dan and Gen.
Dan sighed and turned to Gen and Rin. "Oh, I've definitely met you." He said when he saw Rin's face clearly. "You're Rin, right? Wait, that means that's... Gen!? He's dead! Again!" He had only heard of Gen's first resurrection secondhand. He had kicked himself hard for missing it. He was kicking himself even harder for missing this one. How does somebody sent into space return and begin living again? However it happened, it must have been amazing. "You still owe me a fight!" Was the first thought that came to mind once he processed that Gen was living and breathing. Wow, smooth. That was the appropriate response to an acquaintance's brother being alive, Dan, good fucking job. With a little more tact, you'll be Huntsman!

"You know, the instructions said investigate. But I'm pretty sure we're either going to eradicate whatever security they have. Or they're going to double security after this. So... Why weren't we hired to do whatever it is our client actually wants to do? I mean, I can understand if he's trying to rob or kill someone, but looking at this place, I think his goal more like liberating an oppressed people. So why not just ask us to do it?" Arthur asked, although he wasn't sure anyone payed much attention. They were too busy dealing with Gen's armor situation. Of course, Gen managed to fix his own situation since he's a badass, but that didn't stop a fight (verbal, for now) breaking out between the large pink guy and Huntsman.
He pushed himself between the two. "Guys, let me repeat myself again. Reinforcements is coming. Those two proved tough enough to delay us for quite a big, so we should cut the in-fighting and check out these buildings." Whether it was Arthur's words or he just didn't feel like doing this anymore, the big guy moved his attention to Gen and Rin. Arthur sighed.
"Fine, you guys dilly-dally all you want, me and Ruko are going to do this ourselves and take all the reward money. Lead the way, Ruko." Arthur followed Haruko to whatever building she lead him too. Luckily, they were joined by someone else from the group, so maybe progress was being made.
"I don't think that's a good idea," Arthur responded to Jose's suggestion. "I'm thinking that is exactly what our client is planning on doing, unless of course he's trying to steal or kill someone. Let's not mess up his plans, shall we?"

The action unfolding back with the other group appeared to have been resolved by Dan and Arthur, Haruko letting out a small sigh of relief. Why did that shapeshifter had to be here of all places? Jose's question made the seamstress pause for a moment. The people here were suffering...the clatter of the bracelets against concrete filled the air as she watched one man in particular pulling a cart of what appeared to be metal tubes filled with some form of liquid, indicated by the sloshing sound as they passed by. The eerie lack of sunlight added to the oppressive atmosphere as Haruko looked at Jose. "While I would love to help these people...we are still trapped here. Let's say we break all of their chains and lead them all through the wall. Then what? They have reinforcements coming for sure. And we're still trapped on this island even if we manage to defeat them. We just don't have the manpower to move all these people to safety..." The seamstress says, looking down at the ground for a second, realizing how useless they were here. Why isn't one of the Hidden World organizations investigating this, instead of a loosely-held group of mercenaries?!
"We should investigate the building in the distance. That seems to be the place with the most attention put into the design. Maybe we'll find some answers there." As the group set off toward the building in the distance...a strange feeling of dread washed over Haruko. A massive source of ki energy was approaching them at an alarming rate. "Everyone, get ready!" Haruko called out as a figure burst through the open doors and skidded to a stop in the center of the road, kicking up a wave of dirt in his wake. The man stood firmly as he looked around, finally spotting Haruko's group and slowly walking toward them, his flowing white cape billowing in the wind lingering from his entrance.
"Halt! You have committed a grave sin against the Dawnguard empire!" His voice was filled with reserved anger. The man's eyes showed an immense level of conviction in his actions. "Attacking our security forces...destroying our casino...breaking into a restricted area..." He points his right hand forward, which is quickly covered by a thick plate of silver armor that appeared to grow out of his skin. "...and ATTACKING MY FAMILY!" His booming voice rang throughout the cavern. The slaves began to panic; running into their tiny houses, into buildings, or any place that appeared safe. Haruko gave an involuntary step backward at the sudden booming voice. The seamstress frowns and steps forward. "Do you see what is going on here?! These people are suffering!" Haruko shouted back at him. The man seemed unfazed. "Suffering? They have been given a purpose! This island was a land of hostility when we landed! Savage tribes mindlessly warring with each other over meager resources! But we liberated them; took over each tribe within hours and set to work building this grand city!" The man other arm grew a silver gauntlet similar to the other, his eyes still locked upon the group. "Our supreme leader showed them mercy! He gave them food, water, shelter, civilization...and only required that they assist in his grand plan to save humanity from itself!"
The armor had begun to grow out of the rest of his body now. Shining silver plates grew over his legs and chest, forming a set of intricate armor that gave the man the appearance of a knight. "And my role is to serve as vanguard for the Supreme Leader's forces. LISTEN WELL, INTRUDERS!" His booming voice echoed throughout the cavern once more. "My name is Lance Dawnguard! Slayer of legends! I've fought in countless battles against the strongest beings this world had to offer, and taken their weapons as trophies!" Lance swept his white cape back with his right hand and gripped the handle of a sword attached at his side. He slowly draws it out and grips it with both hands. The broadsword seemed to shine more than Lance's armor; the blade was etched with various indecipherable runes and ancient letters, while the guard was coated in a golden metal that shone in the ambient lights. "Behold; the mighty Excalibur! But this is only the beginning!" Waving his hand to the right, 3 silver portals appeared in the air directly above him. "For it is not only me you fight...but also the strength of everyone I have defeated! An army of legends throughout the ages!" Slightly protruding out of the portals were a katana sword, a small green staff and a dagger. "There is no prayer for mercy now! Face your judgement, intruders!" Lance pressed his right foot into the ground and rocketed toward Haruko's group, aiming directly for Arthur. The weapons shot out with incredible velocity toward the others; the staff at Jose that appeared normal at first...but rapidly increased in size until it was the width of an fridge when it got to Jose’s position. The sword sailed at Rin to slash downward across her torso, though if blocked or dodged...the winds would lift up the sword to slash at her back. The dagger shoot forward at Haruko...but appeared to disappear when it left the portal. The seamstress attempted to roll out of the way, but felt a sharp pain in her side as the blade rocketed past her. “Wha…” She asks in confusion, taking out a roll of antibacterial gauze and sealing the wound. Lance himself charged at Arthur with Excalibur raised. “Sword hand...GUIDE ME!” The knight yells as he slashes diagonally downward at Arthur’s torso.
---
Cell lay on the ground in a fetal position. It was soft. It wasn’t her containment unit. It was soft. Where was she now? Was that all a dream? A nightmare? It was soft. Why was it so soft? A mind very suddenly entered her field of influence. She reeled. It wasn’t human. Not even close. A human mind was like a planet. Always in change, but only on a surface level, anything deeper much slower to shift.
This was like a black hole. There was more and more and more of it, pulling at her mind with its infinity, depths unimaginable, thoughts older than the universe about things that she couldn’t comprehend.
Her eyes shot up to see a strange little man. She ignored all features past that and lashed out. He slammed into the wall and smashed flat, like an insect struck by a newspaper. Humans didn’t get crushed like that. She had experience. “Now, now. I’m your friend. I’m giving you some friends to play with. Trust me, you’ll love them.” The thing with the infinite mind was standing where the man had been.
No. They were the same. She snarled with rage and willed it to die. It did but before it fell, he was there again. “Stop… your mind…” “Yes, too vast to read and you can’t snuff it. Annoying, isn’t it? The toys I’m sending are just like me that.” He hit the button on the wall. “I’ll… destroy them gladly. Then my fucking brother. And then it’s your turn. I’ll block off your mind… like mine was.” “Good on you, honey.” The mind vanished and her ears picked up a horrible crack above. The trap door above had snapped open.
Right above her were Gen, Dan, Huntsman and Chase. The three large men and blobby beast would plummet down to her and land on the soft ground. It squished under their weight like a massive, squishy pillow, soaking up their momentum so that the landing was harmless. “Right… that’s why it was soft. This was where I fell.” She muttered. There were four men, but seven minds rambled to her. Inhuman. Miserable. The floor was soft. So soft. They would rest here in pieces. A wave of force blew from her body, enough to throw all four back hard into the walls. “We have all fallen here. I think I was first… how long have you been here?” Already events were slipping away. The thing in her head was taking them.

"Hey now! I object to that supposed worst offense! Your family attacked us!"
Arthur's objection seemed to fall on deaf ears as the man kept on yammering about his own greatness in a way that seemed somewhat familiar. In any case, Arthur waited patently for the man to finish his speech while preparing for a fight. He made two ice swords. It would be a nice test for the power of his supposed Excalibur. On second thought, if this really is Excalibur it could probably cut right through his ice.
Suddenly not willing to test the sharpness of the man's blade by blocking when he charged, Arthur side stepped his downward swing. He put one sword on Excalibur to hold it down while using the other sword to slash horizontally at the man's neck.

-I owe ya fuckin’ what?- Gen asked aggressively with Rin trying to rein her brother back. -Huh!? I don’t fuckin’ know who the fuck ya’re, ya flamingo bastard, but ya ain’t my boss and I ain’t owe ya fuckin’ anything!- He seemed to want to continue ranting, but a new enemy appeared, making him and Rin turn around to see the newcomer and hear his speech. Rin was unnerved by Lance’s words. She had been trapped by her parents, chained to the role of a dutiful daughter, and seeing actually slavery in motion, something even more revolting that what happened to her, just made her blood boil almost as hot as Gen’s. Clearly the younger Shishioh siblings had more in common that what superficially seen. Rin unsheathed her blade the moment Lance’s armor started forming, too focused to realize that behind her the floor collapsed swallowing Gen, Dan, Chase and Huntsman. Her ki was spiking with rage, letting out a veritable storm of bluish petals.
The enemy attack came fast, but her reaction was a split second faster, as her muscles were coiled like a spring ready to expand the moment wrath started forcing her adrenaline to rush through her being. Her stance was firm, her feet planted on the ground as the attack came. Unlike her older brother, Rin’s movements weren’t guided by the burning flame inside of her, she just channeled that ferocity into careful movement. As the wind-propelled katana moved towards her the Shishioh Swordswoman inverted her grip with her right hand while she crossed her left arm across and behind her right arm, similar to a boxing Crossguard she had seen Gen use, but her inverted grip meant that her blade overlapped her arms, being the first point of impact. She resisted the incoming attack, causing a loud clanking of edge against reverse edge and smiled. Yet she miscalculated the nature of the attack, mostly because of her relative lack of experience in the Hidden World.
-Damn!- She usually was more composed and way less inclined to profanity than her brother, but this time around that was her only reaction when she saw the blade she just blocked kept moving, in fact it was as if it expected to be blocked, using the rebound to increase its speed. If she didn’t do something the fight would end before it even really started. As she heard the whistling of the blade about to reach her she used her uncanny reflexes and her weapon’s unique capabilities and jumped while ordering her sword to become a spear. It was a clean dodge, as the weapon managed to draw a scarlet line one her back, no cloth to protect her because of her choice of dress, but she avoided getting skewered by using her spear as a vaulting pole. She landed meters away from her original position resuming a defensive stance while trying to keep her eyes both in Lance and in the sword. But at this point was when she realized about the trap door. Without any other resource, as she was in a deadlock, she could only shout. -GEN! Are you alright?-
Gen was a bit too pissed to realize the trap opening underneath him. The Host of Battle fell down alongside Dan, Chase and Huntsman. He only knew one of the trio and the other 2 looked kinda off to him. Dan, a noisy pink flamingo and Chase, a man that only with a look Gen could realize was bad news. He managed to regain a bit of composure during the fall and used his recently re-attached limb to attempt to grasp the wall, it didn’t work, but he kept pressing on to slow down through pure friction. His palm should be peeling off, but this new arm seemed to be a bit sturdier than before, as if the “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger” wise words were in effect. He managed to break his fall, pushing off the wall to cancel a bit of the downward momentum. He rolled on the ground without much control until he stopped against one of the walls. The Former Spirit Boxer stood up as he heard Rin’s shout. He started sweeping the dust of his already ruined tux as he started to reply to his sister but his eyes finally noticed the stranger among the group. Her skeletal frame and spare electronic parts sticking out gave Gen a shiver, coursing down his spine.
- I'M...- His shout choked on his throat upon seeing this creature and by instinct alone he took a fighting stance. -Who the flyin’ fuck are ya? Why do ya have fuckin’ spare parts stickin’ out from yer body? WHAT THE FUCK!?- Gen had a mixture of shock, dread and frustration being transported but each of his questions, hoping that the rest of the group was up and running soon because his gut told him whoever this weird woman was she was worse news than Chase.

The earth shaker slams his foot into the ground, causing the ground to erupt into a pilar that slams into the approaching and growing staff, causing the weapon's trajectory to change away from Jose and on a diagonal angle towards the ceiling. "I don't think he cares who attacked who first," he said to the ice mage as he proceeds to throw a double punch into his recently created pillar. The force of his blow in combination with his powers, causes the pillar to break apart into tiny fragments. The pieces of concrete remain suspending for a few seconds as the bounty hunter begins to wave his hands around, until he finally extends his hands in Lance's direction, and sends the floating fragments towards the weapon collector to pummel into him repeatedly. Jose couldn’t imagine this would do much harm, if at all, but figures the fragments would serve as a good distraction to help the rest of his comrades with their attacks.
Chase bends is legs at a 90-degree angle, and prepares to land into a roll once he hits the ground, however he didn't anticipate the floor to be so soft, causing him to sink into the floor for a moment before being launch backwards by a sudden wave of force. The wall turn out is a lot denser than the floor, as could feel a quick jabbing pain as his back slams into the corner of the room. The soulless man looks up to spot an oddity that seems to be inspired by some horror sci-fi movie. After examining her for a few seconds he could only chuckle in disbelieve. As he gets up he comments, "Just my luck. I end up with another crazy one." His body begins to tense up as he could register the severity of the threat standing before them. "Huntsman, you better not mess around here," he warned his friend with an unusually serious tone as he activates his magical clothing to transform into a full suit of armor (including a helmet).

"I'm Dan Drake, we were going to fight in Osaka." Dan explained, well aware how stupid it all sounded right now. Here they were on a hostile little island and he was talking about something that hadn't mattered for years. "Never mind that, it was a long time ago. How are you alive? I saw you fly into space." I nearly destroyed the world because of it. Also got a kid. Butterfly effect, I guess. Things he could say but didn't rattled in his head. He wouldn't have had time to say them anyway before the floor suddenly popped open beneath the people gathered there. Dan heard a yelp behind him and realized Huntsman had been charging him from behind. He spun to face the gruesome beast and glared as they landed.
The floor was soft and padded, letting even the fragile Huntsman land without harm. Dan felt his knee complain upon impact, but it was a tiny jolt for such a long drop. This trap isn't meant to kill, he thought. "Mess around? Come on, who do you think I am, Mr. I don't kill people because I selfishly value my conscience over the good of the world here?"
Huntsman gestured at Dan. "Selfish? It's selfish not to murder people now?" "Oh, Dan. Everything you do is selfish. You're a self serving utter monster who I would have stabbed in the skull the first time I met you if I didn't find it funny to watch you ruin everything you touch." Dan felt a tweak of doubt in the back of his skull even as he opened his mouth to deny it, then shut it tight. It wasn't worth it talking to Huntsman.
He instead looked at the real threat, who was patiently wobbling in place, gripping her skull. Her head was bald except for some pink peach fuzz around the corners of her scalp. The rest was dominated by a blue-gray plate of metal, dull and covered with little boxy electronics that flashed green lights, scattered irregularly like pizza toppings. She was completely naked, showing off two more horrifying things. One, she looked like she hadn't seen food in weeks, her skin clinging so tight to her ribs it looked vacuum sealed. Second, the observation Gen had made. Where there should have been genitals, there was more of that blue-gray metal, replete with wires and little boxy instruments. She was splattered with blood. Not hers.
Dan instinctively reeled. “What did they do to you?” The horrified remark came not from him but from Huntsman.
“I don’t remember.” She said, glassy pink eyes focusing on Gen. “I think the plate makes me forget… and makes me forget why I have the plate.” As an experienced martial artist, Gen could surely sense killing intent, and the room was dripping with it. Huntsman wasn’t a being who could manipulate or sense killing intent. He simply exuded it at all times, vast tendrils of it snaking out to everything that passed and giving a little nod to the idea of its destruction. With Huntsman serving as a benchmark, if his killing intent was a bucket, hers was the pounding waves of the ocean, an enormous, overwhelming sort of hatred that eroded away all other things.
“Disgusting.” Huntsman seemed surprisingly quick on the uptake for once. His inhuman face manifested his wrath in a way no human face could, horns and spikes jutting at uncanny angles from it. "Your minds... stop having so many." Cell held out her hand and an invisible force shoved at the three muscular men before her. Dan couldn't dig in his heels before he was thrown back into the wall, driving the air out of his lungs. He fell hard on his knees, gasping in an attempt to refill his inner balloons. "Your mind..." Cell found something refreshing in Huntsman. His mind was alien, but there was only one of it. She could read him. A mix of lust, rage, and... empathy?
"Your mind is fine... but die anyway." Huntsman was slammed into the wall as well, snapping off one of his bladed limbs. "Heh. I wouldn't have it any other way." He lunged, swinging his scythe like blade at her neck. She casually hovered to the side. "You can't hit me with that loud brain. Lose it." She made a focused blast of force and blew his head apart. His mind continued babbling and she scowled. Were there others who did not die? She could not remember. She hoped not.

As Arthur sidestepped the blade, the sheer force of sword ripping through the air sent a small shockwave that dug into the concrete where Arthur had stood. However; Arthur's attempt to hold down Lance's legendary blade proved ineffective as the silver knight lifted up his knee and delivered a sharp kick toward Arthur's hand attempting to slice him with the sword. "Your technique lacks any strategy!" Lance yelled as a portal opened directly above the two and a massive golden battle axe was shot out with tremendous force, spinning directly at Arthur. After looking at an object approaching the ceiling and motioning downward, Lance takes a step to the right and swings upward at Arthur’s right shoulder. When the battleaxe collides with the ground, the immediate area would erupt into an immense geyser that would shoot incredibly hot water skyward. The sheer force of the water would be enough to deflect Jose’s concrete fragments being shot in their direction.
While Lance fought Arthur, the expanding staff was now a meter in diameter and was sailing toward the ceiling...when suddenly its trajectory shifted when Lance motioned downward, sending the staff directly at Jose once more. The combined speed of gravity and Lance’s magic made the colossal staff, which looked more like a pillar at this point, rocket downward as it attempted to crush the earth bender. “Jose, look up!” Haruko shouted as she watched the geyser of boiling water erupt from the ground. How were they supposed to beat this guy? Clutching the colorful gem attached to her necklace, Haruko shook her head. “No...it’s too dangerous to try that.” She said to herself.
Taking out three explosive knives, Haruko sprinted at the geyser and found the shimmering armor that indicated where Lance stood, having jumped away from the boiling water. The seamstress tossed the three knives in a vertical pattern aimed at Lance’s head, torso and legs...but the knight whirled around moments before impact to place his legendary sword between himself and the knives, letting them explode harmlessly against the blade. “Your tricks are weak, foul rouge!” Lance declared as he opened a portal directly over his right shoulder and sent the same invisible dagger at Haruko, though this time her right leg was caught by a chain wrapped around her leg. “Wha-” Haruko stammered as she looked down to see another portal on the ground, the chain still halfway into the gate. Haruko frantically attempted to dive out of the way of the dagger...but its blade still managed to lodge itself directly into her right shoulder. The chained weapon uncurled itself from around her leg and disappeared along with the portal soon after. Haruko let out a faint cry of pain as blood began to seep out of the wound. Strangely...a faint aura of killing intent could be felt coming out of Haruko as she staggered away from Lance’s position. “Maybe...the risk is worth it…” She said to herself, clutching the gem on her necklace once again.
As Haruko tended to her injuries, the floating katana near Rin didn’t seem to move from its position between her and Lance. It floated in the air in what appeared to be a guarding position, waiting for Rin to make a move. After a few seconds, the blade reeled back slightly and motioned forward, sending a small gust of wind directly at the swordsman, hoping to provoke her into either attacking or attempt to help her allies.
Palace, Atlus Island
"Supreme leader, we have received a report that the intruders have made it into the wall. Should we intercept them?" The white-haired woman wearing an oversized black hoodie asked in a monotonous tone. The man sitting at the desk had his feet up on the piece of furniture, a large black 3DS XL in his hands. His appearance looked unassuming at first glance; spiky brown hair that was pulled backwards, a simple black jacket over a brown t-shirt and dark blue jeans. "You said Lance is dealing with it, right?" He asked in a bored tone. "Yes, sir. He is currently fighting with them as we speak." She replied. He looked up from his game and tossed it onto the desk. "Then we have no worries! I'm confident that Lance can deal with any idiot who thinks they can waltz in here. Lara and Clover are pretty weak, let's be honest." The man stated. The woman nodded her head in agreement. "Yes, sir."
Placing his hands behind his head, the man in the chair looked up at the ceiling. "Haven't had an outright attack like this in a while, huh? Lara and Clover even got wrecked. Annnnnd of course Carrigan is out with ol'crabby. And who knows where Simon is at this point." The man thought out loud. He looked disinterestedly at the woman leaning against the wall. "Do me a favor and monitor that fight, will ya? If they somehow beat both Lance and that dumb sister of mine...well, let's just say Simon will have to completely rebuild that place rather than repair it." And with that, he went back to playing on his game system. The woman nodded her head and went back to looking at her laptop on a nearby desk.

Rin kept her cool, her eyes only narrowing less than a cm upon seeing the moving blade in front of her. She was accustomed to fighting against people wielding weapons, but a floating weapon was quite problematic, as usually the weakest spot in a weapon were the fingers holding it, yet in this circumstances many of her techniques were useless. She knew Gen had training breaking weapons with his bare hands, but she, in a move she was already regretting, never gave a lot of care to unarmed combat, at least not at the level her brother had. She could feel the warm blood sliding down her back, nothing to worry about, it was just a bit distracting, when compared to the cold sweat running down her brow. For a moment, as she watched the blade, she thought, “What would Gen do?”. It was a question much more complex that what it seemed. When she was trying to get Gen back in Osaka, when she formed the team, she heard them talk about him, but most of what she knew about Gen came from Reiji.
The Old Master summed up Gen in a weird series of analogies. “Sharp and dangerous as a blade, blunt and forceful like a hammer… So that would make him like an Axe, right?” That’s what Reiji said about her brother. As these memories rolled around her head she asked herself a question, while keeping a close watch on the blade in front of her. “If Gen is an Axe, what am I? Because I’m not like him…” She finally got it. Since she became a denizen of this world, Hidden to mundane eyes, she had been using her brother as a guiding light “What would Gen do?” was something she kept asking herself when she found a problem, not only that, it was a clutch. Why should she do the same as he would do? She wasn’t Gen. He was her brother, but they weren’t that much alike. Why try to be just like him, running into danger headfirst, not just out sheer impulsiveness, that was what many failed to understand about Gen. He might be rude, kind of an asshole and more often than not a pain in the ass, but Gen never entered a fight half-cocked or being arrogant, that’s what she gathered from sparring with him.
Gen went in first to avoid letting others do that. Gen took hits to avoid getting others wounded. That’s what he did back when they were young. Gen was a troublemaker to get the attention off his brother and sister, getting punished and beaten bloody to keep both Rin and Masayoshi out of harm’s way. He was never smart or cunning to plan ahead, that’s for sure, but if he got into a fight it was for something, not just for sheer taste of battle, that was an important factor, but Gen fought because to him fighting was the only thing he knew, the only thing he was good at. Rin never had that issue, she excelled physically and academically. So this time around she was going to do things her way. First and foremost she needed to find out what was controlling the blade, simple telekinesis? Then she would attack Lance and break his concentration. Magnetism? No, because the blade was aiming at her. Maybe there was some kind of program, like targeting her body heat or maybe her ki. So she did three things in rapid succession. Things she was able to do and Gen wasn’t.
After two years since awakening her Ki she had been training a lot. And unlike the “Guts & Sweat” style Reiji used on Gen, she got another set of instructions from the Old Master. Rin took to studying her Ki with Academic Zeal burning in her heart and mind. She tested stuff, investigated and tried to replicate techniques. She didn’t master any of them, but had a good array of tricks on her bag, nothing really useful for direct combat, more akin to party tricks that after training for a couple more years might becoming something else. So first she started using the Muon Sanpo, her unique enhancement of Naginata footwork, silent, elegant and precise. She started moving back and to the right, moving away from the main combat. As she moved, she left an imprint of Ki, basically a decoy, while lowering her own output. And thirdly she launched a small blast of Ki to the right and forward, this charge was heated through her force of will. Not actual conversion to flames, like other people could, just a blast of intense heat, moving like a wave of distortion, a micro-mirage if you will. Hopefully any of the things would work. Or she would have to find a new hypothesis quick. That's what Rin would do.
Gen felt a goosebump as Cell’s Killer Intent hit him. Without even wanting to, his body went into full alert, snapping into a guard. He heard her explanation and the more she talked the worse the feeling on his gut became. This wasn’t like the fight with the amateurs before, she was an honest to God monster. It had been a really long while since he fought with a real monster. Just like Rin, cold sweat starting pouring over his brow. Not just out of fear, but also from a bit of misplaced enthusiasm. This was the first time in a long while he felt alive. But he didn’t have time to savor this almost forgotten feeling, as a wave of force pushed against him. The Former Spirit Boxer tried to oppose the unrelenting force at first, but in an instant, knowledge born of experience assaulted his mind and he instead choose to roll with the attack. He ragdolled on the floor, rolling on his side and stopping with the wall, cushioning the impact with both arms and legs flexed.
He stood up, thankfully he was only bruised. And that’s when the voice, the one he had been trying to drown under a deep pool of meditation and control started coming out again, stronger than ever, accompanied by the usual beating on the medal and this time around, as an extra, small lines of energy glowing on his reattached arm. “You’re a dumbass kiddo, just let me help, we can take her together.” Gen placed his back against the wall while pacing to the side, always keeping his eyes on Cell and his guard up. “Ya mean that ya can defeat her, I’m just bein’ used like a fuckin’ car by ya” The Gainen of Battle made his best to sound regretful. “Sorry about that, but you woke me up yourself kid, you used my powers, even if you didn’t want to, then you fell unconscious and I kept you alive, so you could at least thank me.” His request for forgiveness quickly shifted into apologetic and then into arrogance. “Thank ya for what?” asked Gen angrily inside his head, while he kept observing the situation.
“For usin’ my body? For makin’ my sister worry? For ignorin’ my wishes of not usin’ yer fuckin’ powers because ya always try to control me? I still remember the white room ya asshole” The Former Spirit Boxer was pissed off. The Gainen sighed “Okay, I think I went to a touchy subject there, but trust me, I can smell danger and this chick reeks, you need me, or at least you need my powers…” Gen’s internal anger was visible for a moment on his face before he calmed down, taking another step, moving to hopefully flank Cell, he knew that actually hurting her was a bit too much to ask, but at least he could divert her attention or target the spare parts sticking out. “The problem is that they are yer powers, what if ya fuckin’ decide to fuckin’ drop them mid-battle, what then?” The Gainen buffed a puff of non-existent air. “You really worry about that, did the only man tell anything about our kind? We like sharing our powers with people who gets us and you kiddo, you know how to fight, plus if you didn’t hear a couple of seconds ago, your sister got hurt. Do you plan on doubting for more time and letting her get hurt or will you take on my offer?”
Gen stopped pacing, fighting his own instincts about the offer he just heard. Reiji said he shouldn’t trust them, but maybe the situation required a bit less of control and bit more of chaos. With that in mind he grasped the medal, still doubting his course of action.
