"Alright, hold tight." John scooped Fumi up in his arms and jumped from the balcony all the way to the piers he swiftly flew, touching down right outside the small carnival, leaving the option of either that or the town. "So, any preference?" John was leaning towards the carnival himself, but it was Fumi's choice.
"It will last as long as necessary. Good bye, succubus." The Shattered One walked away down the beach, feeling the warm sand on its feet. There was art in this place. The way the sand trapped the heat, the sparkling waves. It sat in the sand and relaxed. Jun could have her body back in a few hours. The Shattered One enjoyed being in the the driver's seat for a while. It was liberating. And besides, Jun wasn't in control herself right now.
"I won't argue with you." Eri could pay if she wanted. Marceline certainly wasn't eager to. "God, karaoke? Really?" She groaned. "Sorry, being nice. Trying to be nice." She grumbled, half to herself.
"Not quite how it works. Whiplash, to Ashlea." The monster raised its head and sniffed before all shadow became pitch black and they sank. There was an endless instant of pitch black. In the darkness, they seemed to stretch and compress like they were being pushed and pulled from all angles. Finally they broke the surface and saw the light of the sun again, stepping out of shadow directly next to Ashlea. "Hey sis!" Alexis ruffled her sister's hair and the monster licked her leg.

Chase proceeds to sit on one of the few bar stools that have some remnants of its original color and orders a drink, "Give me your strongest bottle" As the bartender reaches for the top shelf, he gestures him to stop with a strong slap against the counter. The noise and vibrations of his action startled more than just the bartender. A couple of the other customers, most of them with inhuman characteristics, start to glare at the blond man as a nuisance, but a few even give him a death stare. While ignoring them, he continues to talk to the bartender, "I told you I wanted the strongest bottle, not the most expensive." The bartender begins to apologize and disappears to a back room behind the bar in order to retrieve a bottle that will fulfill his request.
As Eri pointed to the karaoke machine, Aine followed the direction of her finger to spot the equipment and is curious to what she plans to do with that. For her, anytime she has experience a live performances when dealing with music, it has always been accompanied with classical instruments. So seeing the karaoke system is a new concept for her. And since she isn't planning on drinking, she figures she will just watch Eri. At least that way she will avoid risking everyone here. She never would admit it, especially to Chase, but she is an extreme lightweight when it comes to alcohol, and tends to be a bit too violent when drunk. As he takes a sit near the karaoke system, she studies the room to notice the unpleasant looks directed at her fellow slave, and silently roots for a bar fight to break out.

Erin sighed a little bit with relief as Eri let go of her hand, having spent most of the trip there in silence, not sure what to say when being dragged along like this. The red-head makes her way to the bar, sitting next to Marceline and as far away from Chase as she could. "Erm...just...one of these!" Erin told the bartender, pointing to one of the martinis. She had little idea what any of these drinks were, as she didn't drink alcohol much...but would it be rude to not drink? What was the proper way to act?!
---
An obvious groan could be heard when Alexis touched Ashlea's head, glaring up at her sister over her oversized sunglasses. "...Alexis, WHAT did I say about appearing in my shadow?!" Ashlea says, with a slightly raised voice. She lowered her eyebrow slightly as she eyed the two people with Alexis; a timid-looking purple-haired girl and a blond who seemed to be beaming with energy. Great...what was this about? "So you're the sister I've heard so much about, huh? You've got huuuge sunglasses!" Elyssa remarks, leaning against Ashlea's chair. She had to say, Ashlea actually looked like she was a healthy weight...unlike the rail-thin Alexis.
The annoyance was really starting to get to Ashlea. "Why yes, they protect my eyes and look amazing. Now...who are you and why are you here?!" Ashlea asks, annoyance clear in her voice. Elyssa grins, folding her arms across her chest and striking a pose. "Elyssa Miyata, greatest treasure hunter of all time!" As Elyssa did her introduction, Ashlea merely looked on with a face that conveyed both annoyance...and bewilderment. Was this person even real?

"Sorry sis, but it was the only way to get here quickly. I wasn't going to pop in on mom in the spa and walk here." Alexis chortled at Elyssa, snorting just a little. "I forgot you were like this. We should hang out more often." Alexis nudged Elyssa. "Want to hit the town? Just let me change and we'll be good. We'll search some dumb little tourist trap shops for treasure."

Shaking her head at Alexis's offer, Elyssa smiled confidently at the tall fire mage. "Yes, we should hang out more. But right now...there are bigger fish to fry." Sharply turning her head toward Ashlea, Elyssa points at her with her right pointer finger. "You! I challenge you to a game of Dunk Discs! Doubles! You and your sister versus me and someone else!" She declared, still pointing at Ashlea. She looked at Elyssa with an even more confused face, not knowing what the motive here was, exactly. "...sounds like a waste of my time." Ashlea replied back coldly.
Chuckling to herself, Elyssa began to turn away. "I guess you're just too scared of losing to someone great like me. I get it, you don't want to be crushed when a family member is around." The adventurer taunts, making Ashlea close her book and stand up. "That is NOT true! Uuuuuuugh...FINE! I'll play your stupid game on that stupid field! Since you don't want to include your friend there, I'll call one of my own." Ashlea declared, reaching into her beach bag and dialing a number. "Hey, Audrey? You're still at the resort, right?"
As Ashlea spoke, Elyssa looked over and gave Alexis a small grin, followed by a thumbs up.

The bright colors of a carnival were foreign to her. Having grown up in multiple homes and orphanages, none of which ever warranted her long enough for celebration, the fair was always a distant type of dreamworld she’d only ever seen in passing glances, or read in books. There was something...nostalgic about it to a degree. The smaller and younger her always saw it as so big and exciting and the bigger her had completely forgot how that had felt. She gestured towards the small carnival with an excited glint in her eye.
“Karaoke is a bonding experience!” Eri huffed in Marceline’s general direction. “Back in Japan, there’s lots of karaoke bars that you usually go to with your friends. Sometimes they’re wide and open, but sometimes they’re just closed little rooms where you can order drinks and stuff and sing and- ah, I’ll have...one of these, if you don’t mind!” Her attention immediately shifted as she skimmed through a worn plastic menu that displayed a few of their more complicated drinks. Whatever she’d chosen was bright blue and had one of those really cute umbrellas in it! Not even staying to drink it, Eri hopped up from her chair with a delighted hum, practically bouncing on her way to the karaoke stage. She fiddled with the song station long enough, surprised that it was so upgraded despite looking so old and she wondered where she should start! Of course she was fluent in Japanese and English, so those gave her quite a few options...she also knew a few other languages decently enough, but she had definitely gotten rusty. “Hrmm…Ah, this will do!” Picking the song and then bounding her way back to the microphone, she waved to the bartender and felt her chest bubbling inside with excitement. She missed the stage! “It was really great getting to meet you all, thanks for coming out here with me!” Just like she did in any of her stage shows, she gave a friendly wink and then leaned over to hit the song’s start button. soundcloud.com/djuse-1/guriri-roku-chounen-to-ichiya?in=raisaki/sets/nico-nico-dougaInhaling deeply, Eri’s first notes strung out with professionalism and affection, love for her trade and for the need to convey how happy she was to anyone within the bar, but similarly, she was accidentally allowing her more siren-like abilities to sink through each dulcet tone.

Aine listens to Eri's song and found her performance to be much more entertaining than any spectacle that the Spirit of Unbalance had set up. She quietly sits back and continues to listen, however, due to the Brand of Chaos, her siren-like abilities doesn't appear to have much affect on her. The same is true for the blondie at the bar. Chase couldn't care less about the performance as he waits impatiently for the bartender to return with his requested beverage. A few seconds later and the man shows up with an unlabeled bottle, which he soon places in front of the soulless man. He grabs a nearby glass and pours the liquid from the unlabeled bottle into it, fulling it up to nearly the top and offering it to Chase, who in turn smells the drink before finishing it with a few seconds. He takes a moment to let the aftertaste die in his mouth and throat before telling the amazed bartender, "I'll take ten bottles, just put it on her tab," he said as he points towards Eri with his thumb facing behind him.

Marceline hopped onto a bar stool and waved her feet in the air, distressed they didn't touch the ground. "I'm sorry miss, but only people over 21 can sit at the bar." The tender informed her. She scowled and flashed a card before his eyes. "I'm 30, asshole. Besides, I'm on the wagon." She stuck the card under the table. "Miss, that was one of our restarant's delivery cards for the hotel." Marceline groaned and hopped off the stool to find a seat somewhere else. Eri's notes were bugging her. She felt them tugging at her emotions against her will and it only made her more pissed. She stood stock still in the middle of the floor, glaring at Eri with her one massive eye.
Alexis snorted. "Wait, what? You want to fight me? Did you forget I'm a total asskicker? Whatever, I'll take it." Alexis rubbed her hands together in glee. Oh, some action around here! "Hey sis, is Aiden in the room? I need to get up there to change into my swimsuit." If Aiden was there she could just hunter teleport again. If not she would have to walk. Mom and Dad were in the spa... ew. Yeah, not teleporting to them.
John nodded and leaned on the ticket booth at the front. "Two adults, day passes please." Two wrist bands later and they were in. "So with these you can ride anything or play any game as much as you want. Want to win a stuffed animal bigger than you?" He pointed to a carnival game booth with massive animals of various taxa atop it.

Watching as Marceline got told she wasn't 21, Erin turned the other way and smiled at the ground, not wanting to draw unwanted attention from the angry doll...but also not able to contain her amusement of what just happened. Her expression suddenly turned to panic when Erin saw how Marceline had gotten up and began walking away, stopping in the middle of the room to glare at Eri. Why was she leaving?! She was the only one there who she kinda knew, and wasn't either too nice to be comfortable around or scary-looking! Which is odd, considering Marceline had one eye missing.
A cold wave of dread went through Erin as she pictured being alone with the rest of those three she came here with, imagining when she would undoubtedly embarrass herself in front of the group and have everyone laugh at her. Should she leave now, sneak out the back before anyone notices?! As Erin contemplated what to do, the sound of Eri singing made her stop for a moment to listen, figuring it would be rude to leave now when someone is performing. The song did sound nice...guess this girl may actually be part of a band.
---
"He was there last time I checked. Probably playing his Playstation...whatever. Anyway, Audrey agreed to be your partner if we meet her by the arena!" Ashlea proudly stated, glaring at the blond girl who had challenged her. Nobody calls Ashlea a coward! Elyssa only grins in response, looking over to Alexis. "I'm already prepared to battle, so we'll wait for you!" She declared, giving Alexis another thumbs-up with her right hand. Reaching for her shirt, Elyssa tosses the garment into the air and skillfully captures it into her beach bag, front flipping into the air and pulling off her shorts as well to fully reveal the white bikini swimsuit underneath. Elyssa puts her shorts into the beach bag and slings it over her shoulder, motioning for Ashlea to start walking toward the arena. "After you."

Eri’s chest felt light and feathery, soaring high on happiness and lack of self-control. You’d think that after a century or two of performing, she’d learn to control her abilities a little better, but such was not the case. When her song ended, Eri clapped her hands together in giddy excitement, bouncing slightly as she spoke back into the microphone, still elated. “Thanks for listening, this was very fun!!” Her happiness was a bit muddied when she looked down and saw what she could only assume was a glare from Marceline...it was a bit hard to tell, it wasn’t as if she’d looked at Eri quite nicely since they’d met. “Ahhh...what’s wrong? Would you like a different song?” Turning her head in a perplexed motion, Eri slowly rose down to make it more easier on herself to hop off the stage, walking with a bounce still in her step. However, she seemed to get quickly distracted as she remembered the group she’d brought with her, wanting their opinions as well. “Ah! What’d you guys think? It’s not my usual setup, so the quality was a bit lower…”
Fumi let out a snort at his words. Always with her size! She couldn’t help she was so tiny! But, this could be an opportunity for her; if things got crowded in this place, she could maybe bump into him a little bit more. God, why were his pants so stupidly tight! Pointing her way towards one of the minigames, it was a classic fair one; tossing rings over bottles. Inevitably rigged, but the toys weren’t her prize. Looking up at John, she smiled sweetly, hoping to keep him interested just a little while longer.

"Don't fuck with my emotions." Marceline snarled. "I thought Chase was being rude earlier, but now I want to know too. Just what are you?" Marceline's gaze was accusing, demanding truth but not saying she would trust it if given. Manipulating a doll's mind was Marika's skill after all. And her talents for creation were great. Eri could easily be a doll made to get revenge on her escaped creations.
John walked with Fumi over to the ring toss game. These things were so rigged it wasn't funny, and John had no doubts there were even spells to make it harder here. He studied the spacing, gaged the wind velocity, and decided he had no idea what he was doing. "You go ahead and try. I'm sitting this one out." He stepped back a little to give her throwing arm some room.
"Great! Be right back!" Alexis vanished into shadow again. A scant few minutes later, she returned in an orange and black bikini that showed off how frighteningly thin she was, showing her bare ribs prominently pressed to her skin and barely covering her meager chest beneath jutting collarbones. "Alright kids, I'm ready to play." Alexis had tied her hair back into a ponytail, keeping it mostly out of the way. "We need anything else? The paddles? A ref?" She casually asked, hands behind her head as she walked down the beach.

The sudden shift in mood from happy to Marceline accusing Eri made Erin instantly more uncomfortable, shifting in her seat slightly. She wanted to try and speak up...but no words came out when the redhead opened her mouth. What COULD she say? Might as well let this play out...last thing Erin wanted was for herself to be yelled at along with Eri.
---
Elyssa's eyes widened slightly when she saw just how thin Alexis was, but pointed her right hand at the little roped off section of water that was nearby. "They have all the supplies there. Though we do need a ref...hm..." Spotting a tall teenage boy with short, radiant blond hair, Elyssa dives over and taps on his shoulder. "Hello! My name's Elyssa. Could you be a referee in a game of Dunk Discs with my friends and I?" Elyssa asked, the blond teen smiling and standing up, his muscular figure finally being shown along with his white swim trunks. "Of course. Are those your friends over there?" He asks, giving a small wave to Alexis and Ashlea.

"Why does she need to cause a scene everywhere she goes?" mumbled Chase just before he takes another sip. Marcelino yelling at Eri isn't a surprise to him, and he continues to drink as if nothing interesting is happening. Yet, he is still curious about the singer's true identity is. So while appearing to show no interest what is happening over there with his eyes, he makes sure to listen carefully to them with his ears. On the other side of the building, Anie remains sitting in the chair as she studies the developing situation at the bar. She couldn't comprehend the doll's issue with Eri, but she figures whatever happen must have triggered the one eye girl. And should they manage to escalate this into a fight, the red hair warrior would not bother to prevent the duel, but would even encourage they settle the problem with their fists.

“Your emotions?” Eri looked genuinely perplexed for a moment, furrowing her brow before sighing in disappointment with herself. “Oh shoot...I did it again.” She pressed her left hand’s knuckles against her forehead, wincing slightly before bringing her hand down, bowing forward immediately in apology. “I’m sorry, I’m very bad at...controlling myself. I promise you it wasn’t intentional.” She felt bad enough towards Marceline that she supposed she could take the chance and risk revealing some more information about herself…”Ah...well it’s complicated? Kind of...you see, I’m kind of popular in my home country, well one of them, and I’m always a little wary of letting people know about what I am. Job hazard, you know? And I really hate having to hide out until it blows over…” Hiding out usually meant her having to wait a century or so, eventually allowing the knowledge to die out and she was having such a good time in this current era...she’d hate to sabotage it, but it was truly rude what she’d done. “I guess the barest term for what I am is...a faerie? Kind of.” She was twisting a strand of hair at the end of her braid around her fingers, avoiding eye contact as she tried to figure out how to explain more. “I’m a faerie, but I’m from two different branches of it...In another basic term, you could call me half Banshee...half siren. I like to sing, but I like it so much that sometimes I lose control of myself and I accidentally let my power slip through…” Looking towards Erin who looked more uncomfortable than anything, Eri gave an apologetic smile. “I don’t know how familiar you are with pop culture in Japan, but I’m a pop idol there, you might have seen me.”
Grabbing one of the rings, Fumi patted her hand on the counter to grab the operator’s attention, when they’d looked at her the way an adult looks amused at a child, Fumi pointed towards one of the prizes in the back while bouncing on the balls of her feet slightly, trying to insinuate a question. The operator seemed confused for a second and looked behind him to see what she was talking about, they began a speal about the toy and how many points would be required and in that short time, Fumi sucked in a short breath and along with her right hand the ring disappeared! A smoky line made its way to the bottles and then just her fingers and the ring reappeared, dropping it over one of the bottles and then making its way back to her arm; the whole process was down to a science of misdirection, she could do it with her eyes closed if she wanted to and it’d still take just a few seconds! When the operator turned back around, Fumi tossed a ring with a half-assed attempt and watched it clink off the rim, but the other ring still remained there. She still got one point! Which was enough for her to get one of the smaller toys and the confused operator gave her the prize, figuring she’d just made the first ring amidst the toss. Looking proud of herself, Fumi held the small bear to her side, its pink matching that of her swimsuit. Holding one hand up, Fumi touched her index and thumb finger together, her other three standing up in an “Okay!” gesture. In this case, however, she simply meant it as “easy.”

Marceline glared for another few seconds before sighing and shrugging. "Just don't do it again I guess." Her eye rolled to an upper corner of the room. The lady seemed a little dumb, making it hard to really get that mad at her. She looked around again for a seat. Erin wasn't of age, great! Marceline sat with her, leaning back in her seat. At least somebody around here wasn't at the bar.
John didn't pay close enough attention to notice Fumi's cheat, but he wouldn't mind even if he had. That game was impossible without cheating. "Hey, good one. Want to grab a bite? I'm paying." He gestured towards rows of carnival food shacks. Elephant ears, fried chicken, another dozen fried things, barbecue. John despaired at what any of it would do to his figure, but it was a date and he was treating her.
Alexis looked horrified when she saw who Elyssa had found to ref. "Oh... hey Adam." She ran her hands over her body, not seeming to be able to decide what to cover at his presence. "Isn't this a bit rough for your morals, pretty boy?" She tossed her head, but still looked mildly queasy.

The scene between Eri and Marceline only got more confusing as Eri revealed that she was both half banshee, and half siren. Are those species similar enough to be compatible in making a baby? Evidently so, as Eri was standing right in front of them. The revelation that Eri was indeed a pop idol made Erin's eyes widen slightly in amazement. While she wasn't a huge fan of the pop idol scene, meeting someone who was an idol for a living was still a neat experience. "That's...uh...really cool! I might have seen you...somewhere. Sorry, I don't follow idols as much as other things." Erin apologized, taking a sip of the drink that arrived for her. "So...if you're an idol...are you part of those massive groups with over 40 people?" She asked, curious as to if Eri was solo or part of a group.
---
Adam gave a small laugh at Alexis's question, shaking his head slightly. "No, nothing here is against my morals. This sport is perfectly safe for everyone, so I'll happily be your referee, miss Primrose." Adam stated, giving another smile as he finished his sentence. Elyssa nodded to herself a little, impressed with herself that she managed to not only get a ref on the first try, but someone that seemed to know these two! Ashlea was already trudging toward the arena by the water, looking back at everyone. "The place is this way! You can be awkward around him on the way there!" Ashlea called back, knowing how Alexis was around this guy. While he was really nice and had an amazing figure...she was already seeing someone else currently.

Once Eri revealed who she really is, Chase makes a small remark to himself, "A faerie? Half siren and half banshee? What kind of fantasy shit is this?" He starts to laugh to himself as he couldn't believe there is still something in this world that can surprise him at this point, while also being so ridiculous. His laughter is catch short by the presence of a dark figure beside him. No one could see the phantom that has been haunting him, but by his reaction, people would think he has just seen a ghost. He quickly turns around to face his tormentor, but the shadow disappears from sight. He turns his head to examine Aine, who is clearly disappointed in the outcome between Marceline and Eri. She had hoped that they would settle things the old fashion way. "Give me another glass," he told the bartender without bothering to look at the man, who quickly hands over an empty glass. He proceeds to stand up and make his way over to his fellow slave. "Don't be so honest," he told her as he places the empty glass in front of her and begins to pour. As the glass becomes half full (or half empty) she raises her hand to let him know to stop, but he continues to pour until the it is nearly full. "And you should follow orders," she replied before taking a sip. "You didn't say anything," he said with a smirk.
A shadow seems to cover her face that only allows letting glowing emerald eyes be recognizable. "~Scary~" said Chase as his own eyes starts to glow in response. "Don't test me little boy. I'm not as kind as our master." The air around begins to get extremely heavy. "No need to be so upset over a drink." "If you think this is about the drink, then you are as foolish as you are weak." Chase turns his head to see the group as he continues to speak, "Don't you think this conversation can wait." Aine closes her eyes for a moment before adding, "You can't ignore the problem forever. If you would just allow our master to help you-" "-The problem he created for me? Yeah, fuck him. I'll take care of it on my own." "You know he can hear you right?" "Yeah, and I don't care." "You'll end up getting punish for that later." "Like you care." Her eyes scan his for a few seconds. "After the tournament, I won't have a reason to care. So until then, don't die." she commanded.
He leaves the bottle on the table for her before getting up and going outside to get some fresh air. As soon as he steps outside, a couple of other customers begin to head outside as well. Aine doesn't bother to take another sip from her drink and instead sighs as she wishes there is a worthy opponent on this island for her to compete against.

“Sorry again, Marceline, it’s a bad habit that I don’t keep in check as often as I should.” Eri gave another bow with her apology as the small girl hopped up beside Erin. With her focus on the bar area, she paid more attention to what was being said from Chase’s mouth after. “Hey!” Eri adamantly called out Chase as she heard his comment under his breath, her hearing was just fine, unlike her feelings! “It’s a real thing, don’t make fun of it! Love hops all boundaries and my parents were proof of it!” She folded her arms like a child, a bit snippy at the sarcastic comment he’d made. Her parents already got enough flack for making her… Grumbling when the unpleasant man left, Eri seemed to chipper up right again as Erin asked her question. “Sometimes I do, idols have to work together for some really big events at times...but its rare for me to do so. I’m mostly a solo artist! I always have been. Those are really fun though, so much energy!!”
Fumi looked at the array of stands around and felt her stomach immediately grumble ; she’d passed up breakfast for today’s enjoyment instead. She was STARVING. Similarly to John, she lamented at all the jobs she’d have to take after this to work it off and still get to laze around at her house. What was even good to eat here?! It all looked so good! Fumi hopped to the nearest stand that seemed to sell funnel cakes; the fried dough and powdered sugar made her salivate. Patting her hand on the table, she looked to John with gleaming eyes, practically exclaiming “This one this one!”

Chase's comment made Erin glare at him for a second, why was he being such a jerk after finding out what he asked in the first place?! Softening her expression, Erin turns back to Eri and nods her head. "I see...that's uh...cool! My sister is also kind of an idol...but she is still a little new...yet she still has a bunch of fans!" Erin detailed, remembering Haruko and her magical girl form. "She only does it part time though, her day job is already pretty big." Erin took another sip of her drink, not even tasting it at this point as she concentrated on other tasks.

Marceline's head hit the table. "Why is everybody rich and famous?" She mumbled into the tablecloth. Couldn't somebody just be poor and miserable like her? "Erin, don't you go getting cool on me." She grumbled at the redhead besides her.
John looked at the food and found his mouth watering and his stomach trying to retreat. "Two please." He took the odd looking pastries (was that even what they were?) and handed one to Fumi. He took a tenuous bite. This wasn't worth it. "So I take it you don't want to go on the rides? I don't think this is going to sit in our stomachs." He kept eating regardless. He wasn't going to waste it.
Alexis elbowed her sister when she teased her on her crush. "Shutupshutupshutup!" She hissed. She turned and yelled back to Adam as she jogged backwards to the arena. "Well hurry up, Mr. Two Shoes!" She felt a nervous sweat gathering. He wouldn't notice, would he? Thank God she shaved to wear her normal outfit. But her hair was a mess! She had walked through the woods! She hadn't showered! She put her hands to her fluttering chest. How was she supposed to focus on some good old fashioned beachside violence if she was nervous about Adam watching!?
