John couldn't help but smile at how adorable Fumi was. It was sad that he had to bear the bad news. "Fumi, you can never guarantee that. Everybody can leave. You just have to love them while they're around and hold them in your heart when they're gone." His smiled turned sad. He still loved every ex, but he loved the next one he laid eyes on just a little more. Attachment was a hard concept for him, and he couldn't imagine how painful it could be for the fluffy one before him. "If you're not here to bug me, then fuck off." Martha snarled. "Insolent little brat." Jun grumbled at her. "Inswhat!?" Martha turned her attention to Jun. She didn't know what that word meant, but she didn't like it! "Insolent! Meaning you don't know your place! And apparently that's from from the only thing you don't know!" Jun stepped forward to help Amai. Far too much skin contact had her nearing total enthrallment. "Why are you all idiots?" Allan asked, leaning on his tail behind the arguing women.
"Doesn't feel like there's much of a point then." Fumi resorted to pouting slightly. Personal, intimate relationships...well, just any relationship entirely never settled well for her at all, what was the point of throwing yourself into more pain? Love was weird and complicated, but stealing was not! "Seems masochistic!" Amai had to hold back a snort when Jun stepped forward, the surprise being enough to catch even her off guard. Looks like she'd accidentally held on a bit too long...poor thing. "Darling, darling!~" Amai gently patted the top of Jun's head between the strange crown she wore while giggling the whole time, delighted by how quickly Jun had stood up for her. "Now now, don't waste your energy on it." Amai made a point to ignore the two beside Martha, neither garnering the slightest bit of interest for her; Amai didn't waste time on children, Martha being the exception considering how highly Amai valued her old face. "Just thought I'd come and say hello is all, this one's always feisty.~ Come now, our little date here isn't exactly over, I think I owe you a favor for your adorable bravery.~" Amai was stimulated all over again; Jun's sudden outburst made her heart tremble and she was happy to try and usher the girl away to spend more personal time with her.
Most people would probably be stunned to find a mermaid, but for the soulless man, he couldn't care less. As Chase swims towards the shore at inhuman speeds, he is bothered by another individual. Unlike the last one, this one isn't hovering over him, but instead is swimming ahead of him. His first thought is to simply ignore the creature, who he can tell by reading her soul, is more of an annoyance than a threat. Yet, after a while he tells her, "Don't worry, I'm not going to drown. So you can leave now,' he finished with a cold tone.
Eri's explanation made Erin cock her head slightly in confusion...then nodded in understanding. "So you aren't really friends...huh. I uh...can relate to helping someone out and them being annoyed." Thinking back, Erin remembered all the times her klutzy nature led to situations where she was trying to help, but ended up making things worse. The first scenario that came to mind was back in high school, when one of the teachers was trying to display a file for the class. Erin offered to help...but only managed to freeze the computer somehow, forcing them to restart the entire machine. The teacher wasn't thrilled at wasting class time.
Peering over at the ocean, Erin tried to see where Marceline went. "Why...was she at the bottom of the ocean...exactly?" The red-head asked in confusion.
"The woods here are pretty great, right? Rachel doesn't like them much either, though." Elyssa stated, earning a nod from the purple-haired person behind her. "So, what'd you guys do with the weapons we found in that place?" Elyssa asked, having not stuck around to see what happened to those things.
"Just because something's not guaranteed doesn't mean it's not worth pursuing." John gently chided. "It's always a gamble whether you'll succeed at anything or not. But you try anyway." He hoped she took his advice. She wouldn't be happy if she didn't try to be. "We handed them over to the headmaster. After some research, they got put up under their big portraits and we got some plaques. You guys too." Alexis explained while Becky played with the bra she had left off. With a blank face, she flicked it at Rachel using the elastic of the band. "Uh-huh. So, what are you doing out here, human?" Nicole kept her lead on Chase with ease. "You don't belong out here."

This ugly fish lady is annoying as fuck, thought Chase. "No worry, I am leaving the ocean now, So feel free to do whatever you do, just make sure its not by me," he said as he continues to travel over the water at drag boat level of speeds.
"Stop being a jerk!" The half mermaid's head vanished below the waves. She darted in underwater to bite his arm, sharp teeth quite capable of taking a chunk out of nearly any flesh. Martha groaned and stomped back to her position. Amai was such a big weird jerk. "Whatever. Who's serving? What were our points again? Oh, hey, I can use my powers you said?" Martha went from her deep frown to a delighted grin. "It's my station in life. I would never let somebody so low insult you." Jun looked up at Amai with guarded enthusiasm for this favor. The miserable creature wasn't so bad now that Jun had been around here a while. What had she ever been worried about? It was fuzzy now.
Eri seemed to huff with slight indignation as she folded her arms beneath her chest. “I don’t know! See why I got so worried? I thought it was someone drowning! When I got there, she was very rude!” Eri wouldn’t mind if Marceline decided to spend the whole day down there, good for her! Have fun being a bum log in the ocean!
Her bottom lip jutted out slightly as she pouted, still reserving herself to sinking further against her inner tube. Fumi just couldn’t relate to John’s opinion on this; she’d learned a long time ago that letting people get too close, too personal, only ended in disappointment. There was one constant in Fumi’s life that never let her down...and that was the feeling of a good heist. With the idea of a nice, thrilling steal, Fumi felt her more devious side beginning to peek upwards as her mood shifted downwards; yeah, a good haul would be nice… “Maybe you’re right..” The shy girl signed with her hands, looking away as a soft red tinted her cheeks. “I’m just not used to it, but...maybe if you’re willing, I wouldn’t mind…” Her hands stopped slightly and she seemed to be chewing the phrase over in her head before slowly signing it out. “I wouldn’t exactly mind letting you teach me.” On the surface, she was embarrassed...but on the inside, Fumi had decided that John, as nice as he was, would be a pretty good mark to make her feel better. Who needed friends and companions when you could have a six figure check?
“You’re going to make me blush, darling.” Amai chided playfully as she guided Jun away from the source of their altercation. Sure, Amai had come here with the intention for excitement and maybe she’d be nice enough to get Jun a man, and then steal him away, but her motives swiftly shifted when she saw Jun’s new attitude towards her. Sometimes, Amai forgot how powerful she really was. Shamelessly, her arm that had been around Jun’s shoulder lowered and she hooked it through Jun’s, humming in thought while playing dumb as she tapped her bottom lip with her free hand. “My favor to you, hmmmm… I guess that all depends.” Her hivemind was never complete until she enslaved with a kiss, but depending on how heavily they’d already fallen for her with her contact and her fog inside of them, she could still connect...just much more vaguely. Amai could feel Jun’s strange and conflicted emotions, the fuzziness of her head, and that nasty little one of her brethren inside of the girl’s head.
“Depends...depends...say, Jun, darling.” Amai brought them to the edge of the coastline that gave way to trees that cast their hiding shadows. “Do you love me?” She looked from the corner of her eyes towards the smaller woman, smiling all the while.
"I thought you knew, Martha." Loveline said. "Except for illusions, powers are allowed as long as they're not used to hurt any players. After all, we're here to relax and get away from our normal personas! We can go all out, in moderation!" Loveline's words were accompanied by grandiose hand gestures.
Clarissa merely scoffed. "Appendage kid! Your serve. Hurry it up."
"But you don't have powers... oh, do your gem thing!" Martha bounced in place, warming up with some footwork. "And I'll go all out!" Allan batted the ball down to her and she erupted up to meet it, nailing it down right at Clarissa before Allan could use his wind. John could only smile. Well, if this wasn't a pleasant surprise. He just had to make sure he understood what she was communicating. "Teach you? How to love and leave? Are you sure you really want that?" He leaned up against the pool wall, showing off his well-defined chest. As much as he relished the opportunity to get Fumi in bed, he wouldn't want her to regret the decision. Jun broke out in a nervous sweat. How dare Amai put this question upon her! In public even! Such an emotional creature! "You can't ask that! Not so soon! I don't even know!" Jun admitted. It was still so mixed up in her head, but every moment they were in contact she was closer to saying yes. But how was she to know? She had never felt love before.
Chase felt the teeth grinding into his skin a bit. If he was a normal person, he imagine he could of lost in arm. But for his supernatural body, he found this to be as annoying as a puppy teething. "Ouch! Why you little bitch," he said with a slightly angry expression on his face. With a quick hand motion, he goes to grab her hair to try to pull her off him. If she continues to bite him and not let go, Chase will proceed to slowly heat up the water around him until the ocean water is boiling within a 10 meter radius of his body. "Let go already!"
"B-but hey, you were still trying to be nice!" Erin exclaimed, trying to simmer down the anger a little. What on Earth did Marceline do after meeting this girl?! "S-so...uh...do you have any hobbies outside your job?" Erin figured that Eri didn't want to talk about whatever she did in Japan...so maybe she'd talk about some kind of cool hobby she had? Meanwhile, she noticed that two new people flew by and settled some distance away on the shoreline. Weird people.
With lightening reflexes, Elyssa snatched the item of clothing from the air before it got near Rachel and balled it up in her hands, tossing it at Alexis. "Hey, don't shoot stuff at my friend! Anyway...I am glad they are displaying the weapons. Sooooo...what was your favorite part of that Ruin run we did? Exciting, huh?"
Nicole growled when her hair was growled and let go, diving under Chase. The water around them seemed to swell and then shove forward as a wave. The two were carried, the wave growing bigger and bigger, until right before shore Nicole vanished and the wave fell apart to dump Chase on the shore in what was the equivalent of a sudden heavy rain on the people on shore, as well as another person who had been lurking in the ocean. Marceline came tumbling out practically onto Erin's lap as she plummeted out of the falling water. "Fuck! What the hell was that!?" She glanced around. "Oh... hey." Eri and Chase here. That was... awkward. "Sorry about her. She gets bored talking to people. Want to take off, Becky? If you stay off the trails, I won't make you stay dressed." Alexis put the bra in her backpack. Becky emphatically nodded and ripped her shirt back off, soon followed by everything else. Putting her backpack back on, she ran off the trail. Alexis sighed and crouched to pick up the clothing Becky shed. "What a child. Honestly... the river race! Azur was awesome. I wish she wasn't a thousand years dead." Alexis bundled the clothing in her arms and began packing it in her backpack.
"There's no better time than the present, really." Probably the only truthful words she'd given him in this particular exchange; Fumi never liked to try and dwell on anything and could only think about the now. The now being her trying to decide what she'd take. Where would John keep his valuables? Obviously not on him considering he was practically already wearing nothing... "You're far too adorable." Amai sang softly, her eyes glowing with excitement. Looks like this cute, stubborn girl wasn't as strong-willed as she'd thought. Poor thing, she seemed so innocent..."Would you like me to help you figure it out?" Amai spun Jun softly in her arms to direct the girl towards one of the thick trees that she'd brought them to, pressing her hands to either side of Jun's head as she looked down to her, dropping her voice to a slow and sultry whisper. "Say, you've never been kissed before, have you? That's the easiest way to figure out.~" Eri had been preparing to answer Erin's question before the torrential rain of sea water landed on them, making her squeal loudly in surprise as she rubbed at her eyes that stung with the salt water. When she'd managed to open her eyes again, it seemed they'd gotten two visitors at their spot and one of them was that insufferably rude girl from earlier. With her mood plummeting faster than ever, Eri grumbled slightly as she stood up, trying to pat the sand off her backside. "Well isn't this lovely!"
"Shooting the balls is against the rules, though." Loveline smiled and scratched the back of her head. "But don't worry about me. Illusions and gemformations aren't my only schtick!" She got into position right away.
Clarissa smirked. The peasant think she's strong! The tiny albino got into a wide stance and performed a dig, knocking the high into the air. At first, the sun made it difficult to tell where the ball would land, but as it got closer, it became apparent it was going for the very edge of the back of the court. But it would still land within bounds! The perfect opportunity for Loveline to show off what she can do. As the ball got closer to the ground, loveline jumped to the ground and her hand stretched. Just in the nick of time! The ball bounced back the other way!
Martha rushed the ball with astounding speed to bounce it just over the net, forcing Allan to dive for it, just a second too late as it struck the sand. "Whee! You guys are awesome!" Martha bounced with joy. Allan snarled and picked himself up. He brushed sand off his chitinous body and shook his hooded head. "Glad you're enjoying it I guess." "Well in that case..." John pulled himself up to sit on the side of the pool and offered his hand to help Fumi out. "Is there anything you want to do? I can think of something, but I doubt you want to get right into it." He couldn't resist a smirk. As experienced as he was, this was new. Somebody wanting specifically to just get it over with. "Well, no... not per se..." Jun had lost her virginity in a filthy hotel. She had never met her lover's lips, if he could even be called a lover. Some bored trucker away from his wife. She had just been a little too lonely that night. Suddenly, Jun's body twitched. Her eyes glazed over before becoming the same glassy strangeness as her body's scales. "Excuse me, but could you not enslave my host?" She still spoke in her voice, but her tones were flatter.
Aine, who was already sitting in her chair, could see the incoming tidal wave and decided to point a finger up towards the sky. As the tidal wave hit the ocean and the water splash the people on the shore, the water seems to move around her immediate area. A dry Aine looks for the source of the ruckus, and is not surprise to see Chase's arrival matching that of the massive wave. -Great, what did this idiot do now?- She stands up and proceeds to walk over to his location.
As Chase hits the sand, the first thought that cross his mind was, - I'm going to cook some mermaid tonight.- He looks at the ocean and could still sense Nicole's soul. He prepares to go after her, but soon hears a familiar voice. He turns his face slightly and he only a feet few away is Marceline, a pretty girl with long hair with a non humanlike soul, and one of Aria's sisters. However, his immediate reaction was not of Marceline, but of Eri who has a soul that he has never sense before, but before he could do a proper soul analysis of Eri, his focus quacky shifts to Marceline. And the same question that he has been trying to deal with for a while now reemerges into his mind: -Qhat exactly is she to me?- Everything with Marceline has been one mess after another. But for the sake of the people on this beach, hopefully today wasn't going to be another mess.
Standing up slowly, he says to Marceline, "Please tell me this isn't a mission from Smith," he finished with a bit of annoyance in his voice at the thought that he was send here for another assignment.
Fumi took John’s hand to make her way out of the water, abandoning her inner tube once more within the pool. She couldn’t answer him immediately while she gained her footing, shaking the water off her hands before beginning to sign once again to him, still looking away from him. “I’m not sure, I’ve never done ‘anything’ before.” She made a grander show of the word ‘anything’ to stress it.
“Oh, and there it is.” Amai’s smile seemed to dissipate at the mere idea of having even so much as been prepared to kiss one of her technical ‘kin’; so boring. “Enslave is such a nasty, dirty word. I was just going to let her feel what real love was like.” As if Amai knew anything about real love. “Why are you just sitting in her anyways? Most dirty demons I meet like to just take their vessel, or could it be...you’re trapped inside a human body?~”
