Martha closed her eyes when the pitchfork vanished. Having your guts impaled hurt. Having whatever was in them vanish was just alien. With her eyes closed and the noises she was hearing, she assumed Patches was dead. The orders were to save Patches. She didn't have to fight anymore. "Years? We don't..." She was halted by her programming. She couldn't reveal her nature to Amai. "Fuck... 5!" She cast an utterly random guess.
With her eyes tightly shut, she couldn't see Patches smiling at Amai's feet. Patches licked Amai's leg before her head abruptly vanished. New legs appeared, strange rooted things that ripped into the ground. Her new arm also came in, a massive thing of brawn with six fingers, larger than the rest of Patches entire body. It swung, and half the bar vanished. Her head silently laughed, delighting in causing more harm as Martha was thrown into the air like a leaf.

"Wrong." Truthfully, there was no right answer, Amai had been intending to drain Martha regardless of the number she'd chosen. The lie made her smile. Her uninjured hand had reached up initially, fingers locking tightly onto Martha's jaw and pressing her head back onto the littered glass floor where Amai towered over her, crouched down. "Now pucker up."
Unfortunately for Amai, Patches was more trouble than she'd ever be worth. Amai had wanted to take her head as victory, maybe keep her in a jar like a glorified goldfish, but it seemed that wasn't the case anymore. Amai let out a frustrated sound, a mixture of a hiss and a shout as the massive member tore through the bar, taking her and Martha with it. The fragility of this human vessel without the sufficient means to repair it was horrible; her limbs had broken, her skin had torn, and the fact that she'd finally lost it beyond repair sent her over the edge of her anger. Beneath the rubble, her broken body lay, skin burning into glittering cinders. At first there was just smoke beneath the fine kindling, but it went up effortlessly with a blaze as Amai's true body appeared. Burning everything around it in sight.
"You want death so badly, you little cunt? I'll give it to you!!" All around her, everything burned with a painful intensity. The flames she'd worn in hell licked hungrily at everything, devouring the bar and even reaching for the buildings next to it. She'd set this whole fucking block on fire and take Patches's body with it! But she was on a time crunch now, she needed a body and she needed it bad! This form only stayed together for so long outside of a vessel, if she didn't have one, it'd be back to hell with her and she'd have to wait for the next few centuries or so for some idiot to somehow screw up a summoning again.

Martha was frozen in horror as she lay paralyzed in Amai's grip. She didn't want to be kissed! The actual result wasn't much better. The whirlwind brought on by the force of Patches' swing blew her away with half the bar. She tumbled like a leaf before coming to a rest 30 feet down the road. The shock jolted her eyes open and she looked back to where Amai lay.
She was horrified as Amai rose free of the rubble, lighting what was left of the bar ablaze. Patches body disturbed her even more as it lifted itself up, standing on its oversized hand. Patches jumped, slamming her whole arm down at Amai, not caring that it ignited in the flames Amai was creating. The earth shook when it landed, another miniature tornado making Martha tumble again. Martha's own self preservation was hard coded enough that it prevented her from running in to help Patches again. Good. Maybe she'd finally die.

"Who do you think you are?" The disembodied voice seemed to split from 6 different sources, all aligned to Patches's fingers where flames quickly lapped from between the cracks. Wherever flesh was that she touched, it ignited like paper, the flame was too intense and too bright; unknowing to these two, it was also too draining and if she kept this heat up, not only would she burn down half this block, but she'd be out of luck when it came to lasting long enough to find her a body.
Her body formed up between the fingers, clawed fingers laying on the edge of the arm and igniting where she touched. The flame that remained began to spread on its own and she slithered up along the length of the massive arm in a spiral, stopping at Patches's shoulder where she quickly hopped down, dragging her molten hot claws along Patches's back, setting the lined marks ablaze all while the two buildings nearest to the bar couldn't escape her hellish blaze.

Within a second, Patches' fingers were ash. The rest of her arm began to similarly crumbled as Amai rushed up and she began to fall even as her back was gashed open, burning just like her arm. The nearby buildings were luckily already abandoned long ago, and Patches burning body fell without incident atop one. Her burning bones shattered upon impact with the roof. It hardly mattered, given how utterly demolished she already was, not taking much more time to burn away. Martha stared up at Amai's remnants, hoping to remain unnoticed. She knew Patches' head still remained in the kaspa, but as just a head, she wouldn't last long. Maybe she could outlive her...

Amai stood on top of the mound of burning flesh, looking at the havoc she'd wrought and her monstrous face made an expression that could only be irritation. Her legs were slowly merging together, forming a single column of flame. With the neon light of her bright flame, Amais lowly turned her head around to face Martha, her multiple eyes narrowing as her wings sprouted from her back, a mass of fire that barely resembled what they had before. "You." Taking off and leaving puddle of flame behind her, Amai hovered in front of Martha, hissing her words out. "You've RUINED my body. What kind of an idiot are you? Trying to betray me? ME?" Angrily she hovered close, hot enough to make any human recoil from being even near her. "Unless you want me to incinerate me, get me a body NOW. Bring me two of them, ALIVE." She displayed her clawed hands that dripped with flames, falling to the ground like fiery raindrops as she approached Martha's face. "Get them now!!" Amai was desperate and angry, her desperation made her angrier and angrier, only intensifying how fast she was losing form.

Martha was left the sole spectator of the conflagration. The evidence was Patches and her sins were burnt off the map. Martha had nothing that could defend he against something that could do all that. But it wouldn't stop her from fighting. She hardened her face as Amai threatened her, then spat right back in the flames that may have been a face. "I'm not bringing you something else to kill you crazy fire bitch! I don't care if you scorch me to cinders, I'm not helping you!" The girl defiantly cried, despite how much Amai's hideous heat was making her sweat. There was terror in her eyes, but they also reflected Amai's fire.

She didn't have time for this!! Amai's eyes narrowed when the saliva didn't even make it to her face and for just a moment, she flared with an almost blinding light, pink barely turning white before it died down and her hideous maw stretched across her face again in a smile. "Fine then. For that, I'll leave you with a gift." Without much more thought or warning, she reached forward and pressed her flame-bitten hand into the side of Martha's face, intending to leave her with singed flesh just as she had Patches, but her fire was already dying down. If Martha let this happen, she'd certainly be burned, but she wouldn't go up like a cinder.
The fire that ate through the dilapidated buildings had gotten called in, firefighters and EMTs quickly on their way and Amai couldn't help but feel glee at the thought of this. With the blue and red lights bouncing off whatever wasn't consumed by heat, the loud sirens screeching, Amai only looked proudly at Martha before taking off with a massive flap of her wings once more, only to land on the nearest ambulance. Inside were the dutiful EMTs who were trained for almost any life-or-death situation to save, but it seemed they weren't ready for her. When she landed with a massive thump on the roof, the ambulance immediately skid to a stop and Amai held her claws together, giving one quick, vicious shove of her arm through the metal rooftop, causing screams within. Giving a final push of effort, she sent her heat into overdrive once more, melting away at the top as she jumped in, leaving behind screams.
When she'd entered, there were two and when she'd left, there was one. Wearing an EMT uniform, Amai's golden hair was back, admittedly messier and her eyes glowed dimly. There were blood spatters across the front of her body, staining the white shirt and leaving speckles across her cheek that she wiped with an equally scarlet hand. She was still weak and she had already killed the other to reform the flesh she'd burned off this individual's body, then even more energy to change it to the form she wanted...she was hungry, hungrier than she'd been in centuries. All she needed was a few more humans to drain...

Martha couldn't avoid the touch. It felt like a burning iron was pressed to her cheek, if only for a moment. She ground her teeth and writhed, arching her back in agony. Tears poured from her eyes, and after what felt like an eternity of feeling the pain, she had to scream. It was thunderous. Ear-shattering. An inhuman noise that put jet engines to shame.
She just kept wailing while Amai found herself a new host, only breaking down into sobs afterwards. It wasn't just the burn. The injury in her abdomen was no nicer. The combination was overwhelming for a few minutes. But afterwards, she took her last gasping sobs and looked up. Amai was back to normal, so far as Martha could tell. Better, considering she had more clothes on. She wasn't sure how that happened. Too tired to make a choice on fight or flight, Martha chose to just rest here. She'd kick Amai's ass if she started something, but she wasn't starting it herself for once.

"Mm. This body feels odd." Amai curled and uncurled her fingers, feeling their slight stiffness at first. Amai rubbed her hand across her cheek, spreading the blood like a fine, red paint as she approached Martha, smiling slightly, but there was exhaustion in her eyes. "Now, that's a good noise. Consider that a gift from me, to you." She dropped the lifeless cadaver of the body she'd drained by her feet and rummaged through her pockets, listening to the whining sirens growing closer. With distaste, she grumbled and pulled out the mixed change this person had before they'd been killed by her own hands. Her phone was gone, her purse was gone, her payment for this job was gone...this sucked. Faintly, Amai remembered the payphone down the street and sighed.
Stretching her arms above her head, she cracked her neck from side to side and stooped down slowly, cradling her face in her hands as she dropped her voice down to a playful whisper, but there was nothing but animosity in her tone. "Never contact me to help you again, or next time I'll burn more than just your pretty face." Then she turned her back on Martha, leaving her alone as she made her way to the payphone, putting in the grimy coin as she called the only person she really felt like talking to. She let the dial tone go and only sighed loudly as she thought of how uncool this'd make her look. "Eveeee, darling.~ I need a ride."

Eve shuffled some parts around on a work desk, boredom numbing any creative thought she might have had. She was distracted from her attempt at creating a new weapon by her internal cell phone ringing. "Absolute Territory" informed her it was Amai, and she quickly answered, letting Amai inform her of the issue. "Ride? What happened to the teleportation scroll I gave you?" Eve asked, already making guesses in her head. You had sex and misplaced the clothing it was in? Or you just took it off cause you're nuts? Or you used it to go to the wrong location? She managed to avoid voicing them. She was a good boss. Good boss time. God dammit Amai.

"There was a little...hot hangup." Amai twirled her hair around her finger as if she were chatting with a date, flirting over a dirty payphone. "I also need a few more things if you don't mind, darling. I still need that ride, but some new clothes would help, this outfit's draaaaaaaaaaaab...and if you don't mind, could you bring me a hot date...or three? It'd be a reaaaal help out." She dragged out her words purposely, amiably flirting with her boss while looking at the unpainted and unmanicured nails on her available hand. This body needed MAJOR maintenance. "Oh yeah, also, the job didn't go to well." As she spoke, she could see the hovering helicopters that loomed over where the dirtiest part of her job had been committed, undoubtedly showing charred bodies, a charred monstrosity, and a block so crisped that barely anything stood; the firefighters seemed only lucky that they had managed to put out her flame. That wouldn't look very good on TV. "Why are you trying to get me killed, darling? I thought we had something special, but you went and sent me on a setup job." She pouted, running her fingers across the metallic line of the payphone, twirling as she sounded morose.

Eve grabbed a notepad as Amai talked. "Uh huh. You do realize anything I bring you is coming out of your paycheck, right?" She sketched out some quick calculations of the costs of this mission. With the apparently lost teleport scroll and the two Eve would have to use to get there and back, they were barely in the black. Eve finished the equation with an annoyed chibi Eve, terribly drawn and barely recognizable as her. "And so are all those teleport scrolls we're wasting. And seriously, set up job? Stop being dramatic. We all have rough missions. Did I ever tell you the time I fought a literal god? Oh wait, that's been three times now." She put her feet up on the desk, smiling to herself. God, she was awesome.

"My paycheck? Darling, how harsh." She made a mock sob to fuel Eve's ego and traced her nail across the metallic phone line with a scraping metal sound. Honestly, she would have loved to argue with Eve, get her hot-headed and angry the way she loved, but she was utterly exhausted. "It doesn't help that the person who hired us also decided it'd be fun to fight, I left her with a cute little memoir from me to her though.~" Again, she seethed at the idea that Martha got in on the fight near the very end and felt immense glee that she'd caused the girl an immeasurable amount of pain.
As Eve talked, Amai couldn't help but yawn, setting her hand on her hip with her voice giving over to some impatience. "Fine fine. And yes, how lovely for you, ever climbed out of hell before? That one's a funsie. Just send the stuff, darling. This public worker outfit is disgusting and stained."

"Why are you wearing- never mind. I'll be there in a second." Eve kicked her chair away from the desk and rocked to her feet. She grabbed a teleportation scroll and unfurled it. In another few seconds she appeared out of nowhere next to Amai, scroll falling to dust in her hands. She dusted her hands off and looked at Amai. She didn't seem in terrible shape. That wasn't what she was wearing when she left, but Eve expected that sort of nonsense from Amai by this point. "Okay, in the future, could you try to keep the colateral damage to somewhere under catastrophic? This isn't even that far from the office. MI13 will have me shut down in a second if they realize I'm letting a security risk like you run around." She stepped forward and grabbed Amai's arm. "Don't take this the wrong way, and I know that's your specialty, but I'm keeping you on a tighter leash for a while." She sighed. How did she ever convince herself that this thing was worth all the trouble she brought?

"My job was to kill the thing and I did it." Amai huffed as she defended herself adamantly. Truthfully, when she'd first appeared in the world years ago, she'd done MUCH worse. All she'd done was burn down a block or two...not like the entire city went up or anything. Amai could only smile with the utmost sleaze as Eve grabbed her arm, speaking of a tighter leash, and she siddled up to Eve's side similar to the way when she'd first been taken to the headquarters. "A tighter leash hm? Maybe I'll misbehave more often.~" However, she did pause for just a moment, tapping her bottom lip. "One thing though. Before you decide to put me under house arrest, I need to feed. A LOT. Maybe...2 or 3 people. I only had one to repair the damage I did to this body." She posed from side to side, looking at her body where she could as she remembered the mass amounts of burns this form had taken. "It was pretty banged up, honestly. Mind feeding me?~"

Eve tilted her head in thought. "Feed you? Come now, you're an adult. But you know what, when we get home, you take a shower and I'll look for a club. We'll grab some guys together. Sound good?" She reached for her last teleport scroll.

"Oooh, are you going on a date with me?~" Amai chimed while she beamed with happiness. Eve offering to take her out AND she got to party? Fantastic!! Amai felt her stomach growl and she hummed as she siddled up to Eve's side again, smiling mischievously. "Sounds like a plan, now let's go, I hate these clothes."

"It's not a date. I just spend too much money on your paycheck to let you starve." Eve allowed Amai to cuddle, but rolled her eyes at her. "Of course." Eve unfurled the scroll and the two vanished in a burst of light, reappearing back in Eve's room. It was a cluttered mess of parts all over every surface, overflowing from the designated shelves for them. Both the bathroom door and the hallway door were heavily reinforced steel with multiple clunky locks.

"I'm high maintenance darling, what can I say.~" When they reappeared back within the building of the Wild Hunt, Amai touched her foot along a rolling piece of metal along the floor and couldn't help but hold in a loud, obvious laugh as she placed her fingers only against her lips. "What a mess!...Anyways, I'm going to go get dressed." She blew a kiss with said fingers as she carefully stepped her way over the scattered metal and made her way to her room, the inside which was completely on the other end of the spectrum from Eve's. Amai lived lavishly, no matter the place, and her bedroom was decorated in all manners of satin and silk, her bed having a see through canopy top and a large, extravagant set of lounging couches and vanities. From them hung articles of scanty clothing, a few risque pairs of undergarments, and a slew of makeup and vanity items that undoubtedly had a high price tag. Amai disappeared inside of her large closet and rummaged around loudly before she found the outfit that made her feel most comfortable after today.
Amai took her sweet time bathing after that, using bubble baths and bath bombs that smelled heavily of lavender until the water got lukewarm, appearing far too long after in a simple red cocktail dress with matching, strapped red heels. Her blonde hair was straight for once and her wrists jingled with the golden bracelets lining them as she shook her hands through the strands, airing them up a bit. "Eeeeeeeeve, let's go let's go, I'm starving!~"
