Eve cackled when her attack won out. “Ahahaha! Take… take that! Fuck.” She fell to her knees, smoke swirling from her lips. Her vision went in and out of focus. She had just pumped a charge that would kill a rhino through her own body. Her metal skeleton had directed it around her organs, but her muscles were screaming. A scar ran up and down her back, ending in a splayed neuron-shaped splotch on her cheek. On the plus side, the mark she got from Byako was glowing. If she could make herself move, her speed would be improved from its weak base. “Need a hand, mon amor?” A soft hand was offered and she took it.
With wiry strength, she was pulled to her feet. She found herself looking down on John, brushing dust off his wings. “Thanks. What can you do besides the claws?” She asked, loading up her cannon. “You wish for me to assist in your attack? I am flattered.” He bowed, sweeping his wings outward. “I could add to the flames Mr. Miyata has burning him with. That will open him up to that marvelous device in your arm.” “Don’t attempt to flatter me, buddy.” Eve smiled. She walked to the edge of the room and she and John aimed downwards. John’s flames blasted down at Mario’s body a split second before the sound of thunder rang out and Eve’s
Just as the beast rose, he was overwhelmed and crashed into the ground below. The strange black blood was a curious detail...something he'd have to collect a sample of later and have the R&D department analyze. "Don't be cocky, old man." Alex spat toward the other Alex, who seemed to have been out of commission for the last several minutes. Watching as both John and Eve fired toward the downed monster, Alex noticed Mizuki coming from the right and landing on the side of the balcony.
"...nothing to note over there." She reported, looking down to see the man whom seemed like such a threat before. "Good work. I think we can finish this up easily. We seem to have two enthusiastic volunteers already." He noted, nodding toward Eve and John. Summoning 5 more portals, 5 spear-tipped chains erupted from them and attempted to stab into Mario's chest, Alex sending purple fire down them once more. He was done trying to arrest this man at this point. Scum like this didn't deserve to live.
Bringing her attention to the others, Mizuki wandered over to the other Alex and looked at him suspiciously. "...and just who are you?" She asked. The young assassin didn't like how shady this man looked, and that strange glove was unconventional, to say the least.
Alex Miyata’s spears pierced through Mario, and stopping his trashing. The demon body was now completely covered in purple flames, eating through his thick leathery skin and exposing dark flesh beneath. He stopped shouting as his neck melted thanks to the flames, sealing his windpipe and stopping any sound from going out and any air from coming in. It was almost sad, as he extended his clawed hands, which were slowly disintegrating into purple ash. For a moment it seemed as if the hands were attempting to plead for help, but at the last minute the only hand standing, as the other fell apart, flipped the bird at the group and then turned into a mound of dust, being gently blown away by the nightly breeze.
As soon as he dropped the people who were knocked out slowly regained their bearings. Callis was the first to wake up, shaking his head and looking around. -Mes Hernandez? What happened?- He asked as he scanned the now ruined room, trying to find out any clues to help him fill in the gaps. -I don’t remember what happened.- Gen was also waking up, but being way louder and less polite. -WHAT THE FUCK IS GOIN’ ON!? FOR FUCK’S SAKE!- He roared, his voice echoing in the room as he struggled to stand up using the wall as support. Angelico and Garo also managed to wake up, standing tall and looking around. Angelico gathered all his charm as smiled upon seeing Mizuki. Garo nodded in Eve’s direction and was clearly in a lot of pain, leaning against the wall.
John hung in the air until the dust was completely cleared away. You could never be too sure around here. When there was nothing but a fine powder over the grass, he dropped back down to land. He could hear Gen yelling from down here. Good to know things were back to normal. He fluttered back up and tapped Angelico’s shoulder. “Dude, give it up. She’s not interested.” He walked past, looking at the door. Was it green?
Eve stumbled over to Garo, wincing with each step. Electrical damage wasn’t so easily shrugged off for her. There was cell death through her muscles and even her organs. She would need food to replace the ruined cells, and there wasn’t any available here. She put a hand on Garo’s shoulder and scanned him up and down. “What’s the damage?” She cast a glance sidelong at Falken. Everybody else who was knocked out got up. What was wrong with him?
The bizarre way the creature died made Alex squint with suspicion. What was this seemingly second layer to this monster? Or was this just the last dying gasp of a monster? Shrugging his shoulders, Alex turned to see that Callis and the boy had woken up. The thought of knocking Gen out once more passed through Alex's mind, but he figured it would probably be good to have a shouty idiot run into a situation before the rest of the group got through. Seeing the rest of the team, John appeared to be mostly fine, Eve was limping along, Mizuki seemed mostly fine as well, and the cyborg mercenary...wasn't getting up.
Mizuki listened to any reply that the strange old man might have given her, and turned her attention to Angelico, smiling at her once more. The young assassin let out a sigh and approached the man after John had moved on. “Look. I recognize you want to be nice and flirty, but I am not interested. I have too much bullshit going on in my life to worry about some well-dressed man. If you have money though, I’m sure she’ll pay attention to you. Or just rob you blind.” Mizuki’s tone grew sharper when she looked over at Eve, keeping her voice down so she couldn’t hear.
Seeing that people seemed to be attending to the injured, Alex turned back and attempted to go through the doorway to see if any other doors had materialized. When was this charade going to end?

"Old man..." the gruesome hunter repeated with a confused look on his face. "I know people tell me I look older than I am, but I'm not even 30 years old..." he said more so to himself than as a reply to Alex. He stood there in silence and without moving a muscle for a few seconds as he contemplates dying his hair black in order to make himself look younger. By the time Alex realized what was happening around his opponent is already becoming dust in the wind. "Damn it. Just when I thought I was going to have a little fun..." Alex doesn't acknowledge the question as he turns around and begins to head towards the door.
"I was going to ask you the same question," replied Jose as he helps the beast knight to his feet. "You see-" Before he could explain, Jose gets cut off by Gen's demanding roar. *Cough cough* "-As I was saying...I don't know why we are even here, but I just woke up, saw some demon like creature, and everyone besides you three basically took the fight outside. From what I can tell, its gone already... it sounds like everyone already took care of whatever the hell that thing was."
A loud “DING” reached everyone as the light over the wooden door turned from red to green, they fulfilled the last door in their journey. Gen looked at the door and crossed it as soon as he could, he had a bad taste on his mouth and only wanted to get the fuck away from this place. -Thank you Mes Hernandez, we better leave this realm.- Callis also seemed to be in a hurry, as if the air around him was caustic. -We should go back to the White Room, hopefully the defensive measures of this place are over.- Callis commented as he walked through the doorway.
Angelico heard Mizuki’s rant and at first only replied with a sad shrug. -Does an art critic remain silent upon seeing a masterpiece? Or does the film critic hold his praise for a movie beyond any other?- The Phantom Thief bowed. -I’m in awe of your beauty and your skill, no matter what I’ll keep praising your perfection, even if it means a dead-end for any kind of relationship with you, as I cannot hold my tongue in presence of such ideal partner and person.-
-I’m okay, we need to move outside.- Garo shook his head and smiled at Eve, before picking Falken from the shoulders and dragging him outside. -You heavy bastard, c’mon, move.- The Old Archer cursed between grunts as he moved the Psycho Cyborg. The more people left, the more a strange image floated in the middle of the void, it seemed to roughly have the shape of a computer folder, but the image was still too blurry and incomplete.
-I think we need to close the door.- Callis commented, pointing at the folder, waiting for everyone to leave the room.
“If he doesn’t wake up by the time we’re outta here, I’m popping him open and taking a look. If I can’t fix him, at least I’ll get some salvage.” Eve sighed, kicking Falken on her way out. “Hey devil boy, can you burn this place down?” She called to John. “It’s Jonathan Chandler. Only very good friends get to call me devil boy.” He smirked. “As for burning it down, no, my powers don’t work like that.” “Shame. I always feel safer burning an enemy encampment behind me.” “Even if that “encampment” is their bedroom?” “Oh, especially then. You should see the traps I have in my bedroom.” “Oh, I would love to.” John fluttered just ahead, eyes flickering over Eve’s body.
“Oh, I’m gonna have to watch my mouth around you.” She chuckled and slammed the door behind her, then blinked a few times looking ahead. Her eyesight was a good five times sharper than a human being’s, but that wasn’t helping. She could see a caterpillar on a leaf a mile away, but whatever this was, it was still blurry. It wasn’t far away, it was actually out of focus. She didn’t bother saying anything, just loading up her canon and jerking her head to Garo and Alex, warning them to stay alert.
Mizuki stared on at Angelico, baffled that he would call her an 'ideal partner and person', someone whom he has only just met. Was he just that desperate for female attention? What did he want to gain here? Sex? A girlfriend? Regardless, she didn't have time for his antics, following the group through the strange doorway and beginning to examine the strange object floating in the middle of the room. Was that some kind of...folder?
Alex was already in the room, walking around the bizarre image and trying to see if it would come into focus at different angles. "Does anyone have information on this? He could probably see something." Alex motioned toward the unconscious Falken. "But that obviously isn't an option right now." He stated. Mizuki walked over to join him in inspecting the blurry folder. She didn't dare touch it, for fear that it could be a trap. "...how about you, any bright ideas?" Mizuki asked, turning her attention briefly to Angelico. Perhaps he had some abilities that he hasn't yet shown that would help out the group.
"I couldn't have said it better myself," said Jose as he agrees with Callis' urgency to leave whatever world they were currently on. As he walks to the door, he quickly remembers something and begins to pat his pockets. As soon as he feels what he is searching for, he releases a sigh of relief and continues towards the door. Saying a small pray in silence, he hopes that the next world they travel to will be theirs. The young bounty hunter is reaching both his mental and physical limits. Usually he could always feel a connection with the earth around him; however, he could barely feel anything at this moment with his extraordinary senses. As he continues to walk forward, his vision begins to blur slightly. Suddenly he loses his balance and stumbles. He reaches out with his hand against a nearby wall to steady himself and waits for his vision to return to normal before continuing to walk towards the exit door. If he wasn't so tired he would have probably felt embarrassed as he struggles to get to the door.
The gruesome Hunter watches Eve jerking her head and loading up her cannon. "Don't tell me you are also malfunctioning." said Alex with a rather dry tone to his voice and a grin on his face that could upset small children. While attempting a joke, the young but older looking man begins to prepare himself for the next fight. He looks around carefully as he readies a defensive motion with his hands until he spots the strange image floating in the middle of the void. The oddity of the image causes him to freeze up momentarily as he wasn't anticipating a computer folder appearing before them.
