My Loyalty is to…..
Ruby Heart smiled at the Tarot Apprentice as she ascended to the roof, “Don’t worry about the monsters coming in I can protect and heal the others so that everyone can do their best. And if push comes to shove I can fight too.” She gave Arlana a smile right before she disappeared from view at this time Kusuri (and Shinshi) as well felt a familiar surge of Mahoseki Magic in the air. While she didn’t feel Abijah because she had not initially connected with the Jade Magic Gem she did feel Haruko transform into Opal Song. “Haruko-san is here?! But why and who would make her use her Gem like this.” For a brief moment she looked towards the distance where Haruko might be currently fighting. But once the flood of monsters came through the windows she switched back to the matters at hand. She formed a ball of pink Mahoseki Magic in her hands and fired it towards an incoming monsters it held enough force to do some serious damage. Once this battle finished she had hoped she could perhaps met up with Haruko and work with her.
Shinshi sensing the surge of Opal Song’s Mahoseki Magic as Sun agreed with him and flew towards Arlana. When Sun was out of range he spoke to himself, “I see so Miss Miyata is nearby somewhere. However who was has the other Magic Gem and how did she get it. I don’t know about any of this and I don’t like it. Maybe it would be best to get Kusuri and the Ruby Heart out of here this could all be a trap.” The White Knight frowned in frustration and then looked towards Sun, “Well I can’t let that Feathered Fool upstage me now. It’s time to show him the grace and power of a true Knight.”
Kusuri was inside the diner dealing with the waves of monsters as Arlana prepared for her big plan she was firing balls of MM at the monsters at a distance and if she got close she would use all her strength to bash them with her Ruby Scepter. However the numbers quickly became overwhelming as one after lashed at her with claws, tendrils, and teeth. “Heavenly Silver Blade!” A blur of silver Mahoseki Magic cut through the air slicing and cutting the grotesque creatures to ribbons. The blur faded revealing Shinshi landed calmly on the ground. He spoke to her telepathically. “I’m sure you felt the energy from Opal. I feel something may be amiss here. I felt something….” It was at this point that the explosion from Arlana attack occurred.
Levi Weston was attending to the last of the wounded when the explosion when off looking towards the diner his eyes widen. “Oh god that’s the diner Kusuri was at! I need to get to her! I need to protect my student at all costs.” The Medical Savant picked up the bag containing some minor medical tools and was heading towards the diner. He looked down at the watch on his wrist and once he was out of sight from anyone he clicked a button on it and it brought up a display that first showed a holographic shield with a sword imprinted on it. The display opened more revealing charts displaying the various Hidden World energies that were being used. The ones that concerned him the most were the ones for the unknown signature (Mahoseki Magic) which seemed to be the highest and then he noticed a growing signature for Natural Energy. “This Natural Energy Signature it can only be from one individual. Crow Cementerio. But why is he here in Siberia.” Looking towards the diner his anxiety grew “This is why the Hidden World is a threat. Their actions put the very lives of innocent in harm’s way.” He continued to the diner with a new found haste as he opened a phone that held a similar emblem that was in the display, Levi began making a report of the current situation.
Ruby Heart and Shinshi looked up in shocked at where Arlana was, while whatever she did was impressive it fried all the monsters in and around the diner a glorious blaze of golden flames something seemed off. The Mahoseki Magic Girl wasn’t sure but something seemed to have gone wrong because she thought she hear someone shouting just before the explosion. “Shin something is wrong? I need to get up there! Arlana may be in trouble or hurt!” The White Knight looked a little concern and communicated back, “Kusuri I understand your concern. But something is very wrong in this area. I don’t think we should stick around. I’m sure someone else can help that girl she did have the feather thing with her. You and I both felt Opal Song transform, we should go aid her. She is a Mahoseki Warrior as well and your loyalty should be to her. Not some random girl who is naive in the ways of…” “How could you say something like that?!” Shinshi looked at Ruby Heart and for the first time saw an unfamiliar expression on the girl a look of anger. “Someone could be hurt or injured and you want me to leave them! I don’t care about the Gems right now! Arlana was scared and afraid I talked her into helping if she is injured it’s my fault! I won’t leave anyone behind if they need me! I’m a nurse Shinshi, my loyalty is to the wounded!” Shinshi frowned a bit and reluctantly agreed, despite his concerns he had to accept that Kusuri had a point even if it was one that was naïve of the world and lack the experience of a warrior like him. Ruby Heart and Shin made their way to the roof, the Magical Nurse gasping when she saw the burns. She kneel down and began to radiate a pink glow from her hands which formed on the burns healing Arlana. “Just stay still Arlana. I can heal you but it make take a bit of time this wounds seemed severe and they are magic based.” Meanwhile Shinshi turned to Sun. “What happen here? I thought your ward had this under control!”
Deep in the forest of Siberia the fight between the Jade Army and the tentatively named Dan Rescue Team (a slight variation on Gen Rescue Team from Osaka), Crow was a bit surprised by Haruko new power and transformation wondering where she might have been training. He smirked as he called out to her. “Oh how nice Haruko. I see you got a new power….growing out your chest. Thank god for that we may have been in trouble there if not for your new breasts!” Crow turned back towards Abijah revealing he may not have been fully paying attention to her. But he seemed ready for her ready to fire at the Jade Warrior however at the moment he went to pull the trigger his vision blurred and the world lost not only color but textures as well. He couldn’t even feel the gun he was currently holding. While this only lasted for a second it was enough for Abijah’s club to connect. Quicksilver was sent flying as the Super Charged Cowboy reeled back trying to regain himself. His senses were failing him at the worst time all because of his actions in Osaka. The Rail-gun kept an eye on his revolver as it flew through the air. “Shit! You pack quite a punch sister!” As Crow was trying to focus on Quicksilver in the air he wasn’t prepared for the follow up from the Jade Gem Warrior till the last moment. The cowboy brought arms up to block but the club connected hard sending him flying back. “Aaaaaahhhhh!”
Bones cracked in Crow’s arms as he was sent into the ground but rolled back up with the momentum as he replied to Abijah. “Frankly I stopped caring about the way the Gods worked when they started letting injustice reign free.” Crow reached down and grabbed the knife from his boot and charged it with electrical NE and threw it at Abjiah. “I do have a problem with something you just said though. And that’s Dan being just a man without this Primal Roar. Dan is more than just your vessel for your God he is a warrior and a fighter. He is someone who struggles with whatever lies within in and he won’t go easy into the night!” Crow quickly rolled away from whatever may be coming his way and tossed a pile of snow up then released a quick burst of electricity turning it into a smoke screen as Quicksilver was falling back down. “Most importantly Dan is my friend! And while your loyalty may be to the Primal Roar, Aria may be to the Hidden World Intelligence and Containment, my loyalty is to my friends!” With that said Crow caught Quicksilver out of the air spun around to side step while reloading Quicksilver with The Trick. Crow fired a few rounds at Abijah. “It seems everyone is showing off their cool transformation now it’s my turn…..Overcharged!” With a burst of lightning NE Crow was surging with energy his eyes glowing slightly. Crow knew in his current condition this wouldn’t last long so he had to move fast or fast dire consequences. The Rail-gun suddenly disappeared with a burst of electricity and reappeared behind Abijah his hand raised. “Overcharged: Flecha!” The Gunslinger fired a spear like blast of lighting NE from his hand that while much weaker than it normally it could still do some damage to an opponent as it teared across the forest.

Smith continues to assault the creatures when he could, while he try keeps his eyes on the others. He couldn't understand what was bothering Chase so much as to make him so utterly useless at the moment. Turning his attention to Marceline, he prepares to free her, but then Arlana's magic abilities saved her. Studying her, Smith notices the fatigue that using her powers to these extreme has on her. Will she last long enough for the EVAC to arrive? Not sure whether or not she will be able to continue fighting, he decides to move towards Marceline. One of his pistols wraps into a complex series of codes before disappearing. With his now free hand, he offers to assist Marceline back to her feet. Once she is standing up, he points behind his back with his thumb as he says, "Knock some sense into him." Chase remains frozen among a pile of burning ashes, due to Smith's effort to burn all the remains in the restaurant. As he finishes his command, he opens his free hand and another pistol materializes from a sudden collection of visible data codes. Pointing at the monsters' corpses with his pistols, he begins to unleash a barrage of plasma beams while maintaining a calm face as he calculates the next target to annihilate.

The Abijah facing Haruko stopped in a burst of air when she moved. The spotlight on her pushed her to the ground, still-bare legs shoving deep into the snow. She did her best to dodge the influx of knives, but several caught her across her body. Her skin sizzled where they struck, mottling and burning a vibrant purple. "ARGH!" She shrieked, ripping the knives out, searing her hands in the process. "T-two of them use it!?" Her face took a look of panic as Aria blasted her copy in the back. The light flared out and the entire copy ignited with violet flames. With a green flash, she blinked out of existence and the one of the shapes on Abijah's dress reappeared on each one's outfit, now in black.
With a clearer image, it was obvious that the design was a depiction of Abijah, slowly fading back into the orginal color. The one fighting Crow similarly smoldered where she was struck. "Damn it... three of them. I'm sorry, master." She vanished in a flash of green as well, as did the one fighting Haruko. Only Cadence's for remained in sight.
Cadence would feel something utterly disturbing with her assault on Abijah's face. Her vines fondled for eyes that didn't exist. Nostrils as well were nowhere to be found. What was felt was not what was seen. Her vines entangled a bumpy, furry surface, broken only by a single massive hole in front. The vines that crawled down found nothing but endless winding. Some turns they took would have made the vines pass through themselves. Nothing was found but an impossible winding throat before the maw tightened to cut them off. Abijah spit up vines and released Cadence in the form of hurtling her at the nearest tree and flying off the other direction
The duo flew well over the range of most of the animals following them, and the crowd quickly thinned as the ground dwellers realized it was a false alarm and there was no food to be had. "I think we're good up here for now." Huntsman remarked, swiping a tendril to smack an aerial creature getting too close out of the air. "So, how do you change shape? It doesn't look like my methods. I have to say, efficiency in exchange for finesse is not the sort of trade off I'd make." She said as she studied his new body, referencing that he seemed to have preset forms he swiftly became.
Marceline's screams of fear added pain when the abomination sank its teeth into her shoulder. Added on top of that was a stab of shame. Not only was she screaming like a coward, she was ruining the outfit Haruko had made for her. Shame lead to anger, and with strength born of pain, she smashed her bat's handle into the beast's temple. Skull's armor cracked, it reared back and screamed. She prepared to slam its face again, ignoring the agony in her shoulder, but before she could, the beast exploded in flames.
It reflected in her wide eye for a long second before she closed it tightly and buried her face in her hands. She could feel the heat on her skin, a feeling like she was melting. She could only hear the roar of fire, more terrifying than any monster's. She lay tightly curled under the charred beast, not aware the flames had passed until they were long gone. She peeked through her fingers, seeing Smith's hand. She shakily took it and stood awkwardly apart form him. Her entire body was soaked with snow melted by the flames. She shuddered deeply, emotions spinning in her head. She thought she might throw up. She almost didn't hear Smith's command. "W-what? I-I-I'm not-t talking to hi-im!" She glared in Chase's direction. Smith hadn't been there on Valentines, she realized. She had to explain. After she had dry clothes. "W-we need to warm up before an-nything else. Y-you h-human-ns are going to die if you're as s-soaked as me!"
She thought about the suitcase in her hotel room and how long it might take to fetch it. Maybe her clothes would fit a few other the others, although he doubted they'd like her wardrobe much. Lost in her thoughts on how to get out of these clothes, she mistook the thing shooting past for a mere chilling breeze until she looked on the roof and saw a man standing there.
Dan Drake stood over Arlana and Kusuri, face hard, huge mane behind him bristling, crawling like a living thing. Even if he wasn't quite so massive as Chase, either in height or mass, he struck an imposing figure. Marceline's spinning head fixated on him for just an instant, a small thought warming at least a little of her body. She shook her head in disgust. Did she still have some feelings for Chase she was projecting onto a similarly shaped man? Ugh. She wasn't aware are the blistering aura of attraction he emitted, Kusuri and Arlana right in the midst of it.
He took a long, deliberate look across the battlefield and the flicker of a grin appeared on his face, gone in an instant. He knelt by the side of the hole in the roof, his knee cracking the concrete with no apparent intent to do so. The civilians inside cowered away instinctively, seeing unholyness dripping from his every pore. He raised a single arm and a strange hiss filled the air. The next second, the minds of those in the kitchen became fuzzy, then faded into the fog of sleep. All were unconcious in under ten seconds, with none of the fighters outside the slightest bit drowsier than they may have been before. He stood and looked at the gathered warriors. "So." He said, almost to himself. "I don't recognize any of you."

Cadence paused for a moment when the vines running across Abijah's face seemed to not find eyes or a nose...and the mouth was simply a void that winded much more complexly than any human throat should. Was there a pocket dimension in this woman's throat? Her guess had to wait for confirmation, as the opening tightened to sever the vines, and were entirely spit up by the person whom Cadence now guess was hiding behind an illusion. "...gross..." The plant doll made no attempt to struggle when she was tossed against the nearby tree, completely breaking through it and slamming against the tree behind it. The doll's neck was snapped at an unnatural degree downwards, and her coat was torn in the back, revealing a second coat underneath it. Within a few seconds though, the sound of plant material creaking could be heard, followed by Cadence's body being put back into shape. She watched blankly as Aria sped off toward the location Abijah sped off to, not bothering to run after. Why should she? She didn't hate the woman who attacked her...she didn't care about any of these people, really.
Looking around the area, Haruko notices that Aria had left without a word and sped off to catch the person who just attacked them. Sighing, she looked at crow with a glare...followed by a light punch to the top of his head. "Hey! I thought I said enough with the chest comments! Ugh...you're impossible." Looking at everyone else, she motions toward the path they were on. "So...should we head off to where we were going, to meet Dan?"

Electricity sparked around Matt's many pointed fingers. If any arial creatures came after him, he could fry them with lightning. But the monsters' numbers thinned when he and Huntsman flew up, leaving them relatively safe.
"I don't change shape exactly. There are some bodies already prepared for me. I have a device that lets me put my consciousness into them and they trade places with my real body. It's nothing as fluid and controllable as your ability. Anyway, are you sure we're going the right way?"

As expected, Sun didn’t like Shinshi’s tone. Not. One. Bit. As Kusuri treated Arlana’s burns, Sun turned towards the White Rabbit with flaming eyes and his anger seemed to reignite his golden flames. With a few quick jumps Sun stood in front of Shinshi, emanating waves of heat “Look around you, you idiot” he barked, his high pitched voice coldness betrayed his fiery appearance “How many monsters can you see standing?” Indeed, the smoking remains that surrounded the dinner were a sizzling testament of Arlana’s actions. The massive wave of wild magical fire that they had unleashed only lasted a few seconds but its effects were devastating. Piles of ashes scattered around the ground, burning weakly under Siberia’s harsh and cold winds, were the only thing left of the army of monsters. Not even their bones seemed to survive the powerful explosion and now their burned remains were being washed away by hundreds meters of snow that had melted, creating a small greyish and smoking river that ran through the small town’s streets and the blackened trees, just a fragile husk of what they were. An unnatural silence filled the air, broke only by the hissing of the water when it swallowed the flames of a burning bush.
“I won’t stand here listening to an ungrateful prick like you after Lana risked her life to save your sorry ass” Sun clenched his beak. The air around both magical creatures was so tense it could almost be cut with a knife. The golden bird was about to say something else but instead turned his back to Shinshi and returned to Arlana and Kusuri. He dedicated a second of his time to inspect the pink magic that the pink haired woman was creating and nodded when he saw the crimson burns slowly healing. He jumped gently on Arlana’s belly, barely setting his claws on her shirt. There, he could almost see Ruby Heart to the eye as she leaned against Arlana. “Thank you” the word seemed strange coming from Sun, but his solemn tone was a proof of his sincerity. “I saw you saving her back when those things attacked her and now you’re helping her again. This idiot better be grateful when she wakes up or I’ll peck out her eyebrows, one hair at a time”. The small sparrow looked around and his silhouette seemed to tremble. He was exhausted. He had used almost all his strength to prevent the wild magical flame from burning innocent people and remaining in his physical form was starting to get hard, especially with Arlana’s unconscious. “I have no idea what happened” he said, speaking more for himself than for Kusuri “Something like this never happened before, to me… or the others. I felt blocked from Arlana, as if I had hit a cage and couldn’t get out, so her magic just kept on growing until it just exploded. I don’t know where all that energy came from, it’s almost impossible to think that she could put together all that magic after summoning two cards in one day. Unless…” His monologue was interrupted when Arlana grunted, still unconscious. Sun got close to his master’s face, completely alarmed. “Is she all right? What happened to her?” His small head went from Arlana to Kusuri so fast it seemed to blur and his deep golden eyes were overflowing with concern. It was nothing, of course, just a random noise as Arlana swayed at the verge of consciousness. “That moron… She pushed herself too far, just to protect people she didn’t even know” At that moment, Sun’s tough and rude exterior seemed to break. Despite his constant insults, irritating comments and overall shitty attitude deep down, Sun really cared about his master. No, about his friend. For a split second, a tender and caring expression went through Sun’s small face, revealing his true feelings towards Arlana. That strange expression was suddenly replaced by panic when he turned towards Kusuri, who probably saw everything. “If you tell her just one word about this, I’ll swear I’ll pull your eyes out” As menacing as he tried to sound, the way his flames suddenly turned brightly red and the trembling of his voice took a lot out power from his attempt.
Sun wrapped himself in a few minutes of awkward silence before turning to Kusuri again, without even glancing at Shinshi. “So, what the hell were tho…” He was interrupted by the sudden arrival of a man. It was amazing Sun didn’t felt him before. An oppressive aura of power surrounded the tall and muscular man, sheathed on his armor, as he silently examined his surroundings. When he fixed his eyes on Arlana and Sun, the golden bird felt as if the air was being pulled out of his lungs and stumbled beneath the weight of that stare. Even he, a magical being, was affected by the Avatar’s presence. However, what shocked Sun more was something else. Something malign and dark that was particularly familiar to Sun: The energy of a Card. “Fuck, Fuck, fuck!” he muttered as he turned to Arlana and shook her face gently with his wings, trying to wake her up with no apparent success. He then turned around and faced that spine chilling man as he spoke. Sun let out a fierce and defiant squeak as a golden ring of fire surrounded him and Arlana like a shield, in order to keep that dangerous man away from his friend.

Smith keeps his eye on Dan without changing his expression at all. He makes no move whatsoever to engage Dan either. Rather he studies his body language and concludes that Dan's behavior has already inform him that he doesn't acknowledge them to be a threat at all to him. Without needing to use his voice or move any body part, he issues mental commands to his gadgets in order to create a message that he quickly sends to Aria's communication device. His message was short and to the point, "Dan's currently at my location."
Meanwhile, inside the restaurant, Dan's arrival is like a slap to the face for Chase. Being so close to the immense presence violently snaps him back into the situation at hand. Standing back to his feet, he begins to realize just how many creatures were slain here once he examines his spiritual energy tank. "Seems like I have been out of it for a while now..." He looks at the regular civilians falling asleep as he nonchalantly walks outside. During his walk, he went past the bar without consciously being aware that it even exists. Once outside, he effortless jumps off the tip of his shoes and lands on the roof. He looks at new arrival and begins to examine his soul much more closely. He could tell that there are two presences working here, yet he was unsure which one was in control of the body as the stronger presence seems to be having a great amount of influence on the other, yet the weaker presence he was sensing was front in center of his spiritual center. Chase asks without putting up his guard, "Who are you?" Yet his question did not seem to be directed at Dan, but rather whatever was connected to Dan. As he searches for answers, the mark on his forearm continues to glow in anticipation.

Arrival and Departing
Once Crow watched the Jade Clone be scorched out of existence he canceled Overcharged, his eyes fading to their normal blue however they seemed to be somewhat less vibrant and his skin a bit paler. The effects of using his Lightning NE nowadays were more draining than they ever been but he quickly regained himself. As he looked around noticing the other clones were seemingly defeated he didn’t notice Haurko coming up and hitting him on the head. “Ow! Sorry. Sorry. No more chest comments….for now.” The Gunslinger glared at Haruko for a few moments but it was broken by a smile and some laughter. Truth be told Crow was happy to see the Battle Seamstress especially after what happen with Gen and now Dan. Crow lightly patted her on the shoulder. “ It’s good to see you again Haruko. It’s been a bit too long for my taste.” As she mention going to look for Dan Crow nodded slightly. “Yeah we should hurry we don’t know how many more of his followers could be lurking around.” Crow turned and began to head out away from this area so that they could hopefully find their friend before it was too late. While they moved along their path Crow couldn’t help but comment on Haruko’s transformation, “That was an interesting power up you had back there. Is that the result of training with your siblings?” The Rail-gun gazed around the area trying to keep his muddled senses up wondering where not only was the woman he had met up with before Haruko’s arrival was but also where Aria Miyata currently was. “Anyway Haruko, I don’t know if you heard what that clone was saying earlier. But it sounds like this may not be as easy as just getting Dan and bringing him home. I think for us to truly save Dan we may have to separate him from this Avatar that is controlling him. But I don’t know how.” As Crow talked his voice grew more and more concerned, “Look at all these people Dan is calling towards him I doubt most of them have his well-being in mind.” Meanwhile the Man Crow and Haruko were searching for had arrived at the dinner where Kusuri was while Levi Weston was rushing towards it. The moment Dan touched down the Hidden World Signature monitor nearly short-circuite. “My god this energy I have seen anything like this before. I need to…” Before Levi could act any further he suddenly felt drowsiness over taking him, despite being trained he was no match for the power of the Primal Roar. He slumped up against a wall in a nearby trying to stay awake. “Urgh…someone is…urgh…forcing their will….on everyone in the area…I need to help Kusuri.” Levi reached into his medical briefcase he pulled out a syringe that contained a special adrenaline shot meant to fight against things similar however just as he was about to stab himself with it his body went limp. Sleep over took the Medical Savant for now. Ruby Heart stared in the face of what best could be described as pure raw power and unholy energy. She could feel her face burning with a hot flush unaware of the Primal Roar’s raw aura of attractiveness. Her whole body was trembling and the healing energy she was using on Arlana completely stopped. The Mahoseki Warrior wasn’t sure what was happening to her she couldn’t move, she couldn’t think, she couldn’t even look away from this man before her. However Shinshi was immediately aware of it and the pure girl was frozen with what was most likely fear. He nearly screamed into her mind, “Kusuri RUN! Take the other girl and get out of here!” The White Rabbit turned to Sun, “We may have our differences my Feathered Foe! But we must work together to protect the girls!” As Sun fired a golden ring of flames Shinshi spun between it turning pulling the flames towards his Mahoseki Magic coated body. SILVER FLAME COMET!
Shinshi attempted to attack Dan with the combine strength of his and Sun’s powers to buy Kusuri some time. The Mahoseki warrior seemed to snap out of it as Chase also arrived on the roof as well. “Shinshi! Sun!” She looked around nervously and hoped that Dan would be distracted with Chase as she grabbed Arlana along with the two magical pets while small white wings unfolded form her ankles. “Emergency RUSH!” Pushing off the ground with all her might and a small burst of Mahoseki Magic Ruby Heart moved with a burst of nearly uncontrollable seeds trying to get towards the forest. She came to an abrupt stopped not too far from the diner but far enough for now. She panted a little using Emergency Rush while carrying so much weight was a bit draining on her MM reserves. She set down Shinshi and Sun and rested Arlana against a tree. She looked over her shoulder towards the diner a bit shocked to see there was still some people including the girl with the bat from earlier. “I need to go help them but that man. I never….I never felt anything like that his seemed to impose his will on everything around him. Who was he?” Ruby Heart clenched her chest a little still slightly trembling and reminded herself of her brother bravery when faced with overwhelming danger as he tried to help others. It was the reason she wanted to be a nurse so bad so that she could help someone like him. Looking back towards the diner again despite her fear she believed those people were her patients and as a nurse she couldn’t abandon them. Shinshi seemed unconscious from his attack on Dan she would need to do this without him. “Emergency RUSH!” With another small burst of MM she left the area and came to a stop near the diner this time the wear and fatigue was more apparent she nearly fainted but she quietly called to Marceline. “ Miss we need to get away and get these innocent people to safety. But that man on the roof is terrifying I could really use your help.”

Eve stomped through the snow back to Haruko, Crow, and Cadence. "Looks like the others ran too." She remarked, pulling her coat tighter in a futile attempt to regain the warmth rolling in the snow with Abijah had cost her. She noticed Aria was gone and decided she had gone chasing the clone she was fighting. "You're right there. The guy called us to stop him, and that's what I'm getting paid for. His well being is not a factor." Eve responded to Crow's assertion that not all the people Dan had called had his well being in mind. She was aware they were his friends, so she might as well be honest.
Abijah looked back at Aria, charging through thick snow instead of hovering like Abijah could. She slowed down to let Aria gain ground, fixing her with a murderous glare. "Oh, you wanna find out where I'm going? Works for me!" She blasted right back to tackle Aria, trying to get a grip on anything she could, her hair, dress, limbs. Then she rocketed straight up through the canopy, breaking through in a burst of leaves. She was hundreds of feet up in an instant, hopefully cradling Aria in her limbs. "You want to just stay up here? I can chat. I mean, the other option is I find a nice rock to drop you on, so it's really your only choice."
"Somebody is making bodies to shove you into?" Huntsman sounded baffled. "Of course we're going the right way. You can't smell it?" She continued to sound baffled. "Oh, right. Humans. Never mind." She scoffed.
Dan looked down at the ring of fire and shrugged, looking away from the sleeping girl, focusing on Chase. "Dan Drake. The man you're looking for." He answered Chase. "And the avatar of the Primal Roar, whether I wish it or not." He shifted to leave the roof, but before he could, Shinshi struck him over his head. He reflexively jerked and ducked, waving at Shinshi like an insect. He patted out his burning hair and glared up at the rabbit. His aura flared out, shoving a wave of wind that made Sun's defensive ring flicker. He held it for a second before dropping it again, wide stare of surprise vanishing. "Don't do that again. I really don't have any interest in a fight this time." He said quietly.
On the ground, Marceline continued to shudder. Maybe she could hide in the bathroom of the diner. That should have some warmth, and certainly some privacy. She needed out of these clothes or she wasn't going to be any good to anybody soon. She prepared to make a dash for it when Kusuri blitzed up behind her. She jumped with surprise, wheeling with her bat high to strike the sudden threat. She dropped it when she realized it was just Kusuri, still shuddering. "Oh come on, I can barely move..." She managed to spit between chattering teeth. She backed away a little before her heart began to sink. Just what kind of coward was she? She didn't deserve to be freed from Marika.
Her conscience assailing her, she let out a long sigh. "You use that speed thing to get them all out. I'll distract him. But dammit, I expect some dry clothes if I survive!" With that, she ran, getting to the side of the diner. She jumped, grabbing onto the edge of the roof and carefully pulling herself up. She was out of Dan's line of sight. She looked down at Kusuri and waved at her to go before lunging. Her iced over muscles pulled, twisting her waist for a perfect swing. Her bat swirled the air, the only thing warning Dan of its approach the whir it gave off. It wasn't enough, and it made full contact on the back of his head. With a resounding crack, the bat shattered. Through the storm of splinters, she saw his face turning with a look more of annoyance than anything. The next second, she was pummeled through the roof, shattering the tiles on the floor below with her broken body. Dan turned back to Chase, face utterly flat. "I'll be going now."

Dissolving into a cool pink light, Haruko turns back into her normal form as Crow began talking to her. "It's good to see you too, Zappy. You've been gone for quite a while, I must say. As for that power...nope! I got it from a talking rabbit who says it's part of a gem set that makes people into magical girls. Cool, huh?" Thinking about what Crow said about Dan, the battle seamstress frowns at Eve after her comment. "Dan's well being is a large factor, Eve. I'm not going to allow a friend of mine to stay a monster, especially when he has helped us out before. We need to at least try to separate him from this monster controlling his actions...I'm sure my sister could help in this regard." Eve's willingness to go straight to killing Dan worried Haruko. Hopefully it wouldn't come to the point where Haruko would have to stop Eve herself before she did something too rash.

Aria noticed how Abijah had slowed down and allowed her to catch up...bracing herself for some form of attack, which came in the form of her flying forward into a tackle. Using her knowledge of martial arts, Aria twisted her body and grabbed onto the back of Abijah's neck, wrapping her arm around it as the clone user rocketed into the air. The height had no effect on the HWIC leader, as she pulled out one of her pistols and held it right up the her opponent's head.
"Yes, I would like to know where you are going. Here's how this is going to go; you can tell me where Dan is and get a less grueling section of prison to stay in after this, or resist, and I shoot this tranquilizer bullet into your skull and put you with the hardened criminals. Your choice." Being behind Abijah, it would be much more difficult for her to turn around and resist before Aria pulled the trigger. While threatening Abijah, Aria got Smith's message in her communicator. Dan was there...? She'd have to wrap this up quickly.

“Hey! What the fuck are you doing? You’re gonna get killed!” barked Sun when Shinshi flew by his side and stole some of his defensive flames to attack the newcomer, just to repelled like an insect against a window. The Tarot Card would have scolded the white rabbit if he had the chance, but he had other things to worry about. The eyes of the man who could himself the Avatar of Primal Roar, whatever that meant, laid upon Sun and Arlana. The sheer power behind his gaze was enough to send a freezing child down Sun’s spine. And to make things even worse, with just a small glimpse of his aura he was able to make Sun’s magical defense flicker like a common forest fire.
Sun looked around, cursing under his breathe. The situation was dire. Arlana was completely knocked out and the white prick was too, the pink haired mage seemed more like a healer than a fighter, the girl with the bat couldn’t probably touch a hair on the Avatar’s body and the other two guys, although they seemed powerful, might not be enough to defeat that monster. The only possibility that Sun end up stuck with was escaping and letting Lana recover, but it was easier said than done. Luckily, Ruby Heart managed to save Sun’s flaming ass. In a whirlwind of red and white energy, the Mahouseki warrior was able to get them out of there and got them to a safe spot on the edge of the woods. Sun, disoriented by the sudden and unrequested transportation, didn’t manage to say anything to Ruby Heart before she rushed back to the dinner. Sun was left there, too look over the unconscious Arlana and Shinshi.
He got closer to Arlana, jumping over rocks and branches. Kusuri had left the girl resting against a tree, still unresponsive. Her head was tilting a bit, following the curve of the tree’s bark, her messy red mane fell over her right shoulder like a cascade and big dark circles under her eyes. The big and swollen burns on her arms were much better, courtesy of Kusuri’s powers, and were now of a healthy pink color instead of an intense crimson. But they were going to leave a scars. As he jumped on Arlana’s knees, Sun couldn’t help but to stare at those wounds. The sight of them reminded Sun of a question he meant to ask Arlana one day, after the wounds her heart suffered healed, and until then would just keep bouncing around in his head. “Don’t you hate me, Lana?” he muttered “You know that it was my flame that burnt down your house, your life and… who killed the one dearest to you. Is that what is blocking me? Does a part of you hate me, blames me from what happened beyond my control? Does that hate keeps us from fusing?” They were questions without answer. Questions that were dragged by the cold winds of Siberia and would never be asked again.
Sun jumped down from Arlana’s knees and turned his head towards the dinner, muttering curses. He didn’t do shit in that fight. Everyone helped destroying those monsters somehow, even that fucking rabbit. He only managed to hurt someone important to him. In that small form he couldn’t fight at all and without Arlana, it was even worse. The Tarot Magic was based on combination, a joint effort, a connection. The summoner depended on the Cards and the Cards depended on the summoner, they worked together to overcome every obstacle on their way. Their strength and power relayed on that connection that grew stronger with every minute they spent together, each battle they fought. The small form Sun had taken was a reflection of Arlana’s new magic powers and Sun could only appear if she had enough magic power. Sun could see that connection, the invisible thread of magical energy that connected Arlana and himself. And at that moment it was thin as a hair. No matter how much Kusuri’s healing powers recovered Arlana’s wounds, little could they do for her inner energy. As it slowly disappeared, so did Sun’s energy.
But at that moment, none of that mattered to Sun. He was pissed. Pissed about feeling so weak when they were so close to getting another card. Pissed about being hurting his friend. Pissed about being useless.
And he hated being fucking useless.
“Fuck this! I won´t just stand here!” he yelled with resolved exasperation as he snapped a small branch between his claws. With a few quick jumps, the golden bird got near the unconscious Shinshi. “Wake the fuck up, Buggs!” he exclaimed as he sent his furry ass rolling towards a tree with a well-placed kick “I need your help!”

"No, it's not that someone's making bodies for me. It's that there are creatures with these bodies and... I just switch consciousness with them, I guess? I never really thought about it before." Matt stated. Now that he thought about it, he got permission to take someone else's body and damage it as much as he needed... That was kind of disturbing. But it was needed. And they knew what they were getting into when they agreed to do it. Or did they? Maybe he should have a chat with them when he wrapped this up.
"Hey, it's not my human nose that sucks now. Kabuto doesn't even have a real nose since he's a bug... Anyway, as long as we're getting there, that's great."

Hunters Hunt! Protectors Protect! Kusuri Rushes to the Rescue!
The female Hunter Eve had returned to Haruko and Crow and quickly made her opinion known about where she stood on Dan’s well-being. The Gunslinger was grateful that Haruko stood on his side in his regards however he wondered where her sister would stand. “Listen you and I may have started off on rocky grounds but I rather it not end that way Miss.” It was in this moment Crow realized that him and Eve had not actually introduced each other however he did have a feeling on who she was but appearance and her abilities alone but he could be wrong. “I may not know you very well but I know that look in your eyes it’s the eyes of a Hunter. There one thing that I know stands true no matter what. Hunters will always Hunt! However Dan is our friend and if there is a one percent chance we can save him I will take it.” Crow didn’t want to seem threatening but his hand was close to Quicksilver and he wasn’t backing down.
There seemed to be a moment of tension but the Gunslinger quickly moved passed it easing up in his stance, “Now the three of us could stand around all day and talk about how pretty Haruko’s new transformation was or we could move out before another one of this Primal Roar’s mates or those weirdos in the silver mask decide to drop on by.” With that said Crow gave a look around making trying to sense anyone nearby with his muddled Natural Energy senses before he decide to move forward cautiously wondering where Dan main camp could be. “Do either of you two have an idea on where we could even find Dan. I rather not stay in here in the forest slowly freezing to death.” Despite wearing a magical seamstress sewn poncho the Siberia chill was still intense. Crow reached into his pockets and took out what seemed to be packet of EXTREME hot sauce taco place. He tossed some to Eve and Haruko. “Here hold these in your hands as we talk or keep them in your pockets and hold them. This is an old Gunslinger trick, they use to do it with a light coating of hot sauce but this is a more modern way. Those are Crying Devil Tears Sauce from El Taco Casa! I’m pretty sure anything hotter is illegal.”
Meanwhile as Crow, Eve, and Haruko searched for Dan in the bitterly cold forest Kusuri was dealing with the Primal Roar Avatar herself. She was thankful that Marceline agreed to help but she didn’t really want to her to attack Dan rather help her move people. However the Magical Gem Girl took the help where she could get it. Ruby Heart didn’t expect how much it would take to move all these people. She began using Emergency Rush to grab the injured and wounded moving them as far away from the diner as possible once she set them down she began to use small of her Mahoseki Magic to heal some of their wounds. After the first couple of people the fatigue from the night was starting to take effect, her Emergency Rush was getting slower with each pass and it was harder to focus on healing. By the last person Ruby Heart was panting heavily and swearing all over. It was difficult to maintain her Mahoseki Warrior form it was at this point she heard Marceline crashing through the roof. “Oh no! I need to get her out of there! But I don’t think I have enough energy left to get to her and get out.” Despite her worries Kusuri knew what must be done, that girl was her patient right now just like all the civilians before her and it was her duty to heal her.
Gathering up all the MM she could muster Ruby Heart made a mad dash, “Emergency RUSH!” In a blur of red and white streaking energy Ruby Heart made it to Marceline and began to examine her. “Don’t worry I got all the civilians…out. Now it’s…it’s your turn.” If was quite obvious now that all this use of MM had taken a big toll on Kusuri she was trembling slightly and it was difficult to talk. “First though I need to warm you. You are freezing to the bone if I don’t do something about that first your injuries will be the least of the problems. Warming Heart.” The Magic Gem Girl created a small heart shape bubble of MM that popped against Marceline coating in pink energy. The energy would warm her completely and keep her warm meanwhile Kusuri grabbed what remained of the baseball bat Marceline had been using as a weapon. “Now one more….Emergency RUSH!” Despite pushing her body to its current limits Ruby Heart last Emergency Rush was very sloppy despite getting Marceline to the spot where Arlana was her form gave out and she stumbled violently into the location.
A Few Minutes Before
Before Kusuri arrived with Marceline it seemed Sun was seeking Shinshi help, the cursed White Knight open his eyes weakly looking at the living tarot card. “What are you talking about Bird-Brain? Neither you nor I could do anything to that man. Our magic is just not strong enough right now however you seem seriously concerned for you ward. I just don’t know if I can help her right now.” Shinshi lowered his head for a moment he felt weak right now again the limitations of his cursed form were showing their ugly head. Just at the moment Kusuri and Marceline can nearly crashing in. The young girl form completely faded as her Mahoseki Magic gave out. However the magic nurse held onto the Bat Wielding Warrior and turned slightly so she took the blunt of the fall not Marceline. Shinshi eyes widen at the sight unable to speak he screamed telepathically to all those conscious in the small area mainly Sun. “KUSURI!!!!!” Despite all his warnings to the young girl it seemed to be the White Knight himself who revealed Ruby Heart identity to Sun as the girl laid there in her normal 16 year old pink hair form. (Anyone awake may recognize her from the diner if they were paying attention.) Shinshi turned to Sun and there seemed to be a new silver light shining in his eyes like a furious anger and devoted protection. He was a knight and he was failing as his role of protector to the Mahoseki Warriors.
He turned and spoke to Sun through his magical telepathic link “Do you understand now why I was so aggressive towards you earlier. Just like you are concerned for your ward I am supposed to be the protector to the girl. For she is the key to my Queen’s salvation and she protected me when I needed it the most. We may have started off on the wrong foot but I see now the errors of my ways, we are kindled spirits protectors of those we hold dear. My name is Shinshi the White Knight of the Mahoseki Queen, Majestic Diamond, now let’s wake your ward.” Shinshi limped towards Arlana and sat on her closing his eyes as he spoke. “Similar to Kusuri I can harness Mahoseki Magic my current abilities are weaken severely but this may work.” A silver glow radiated from his body and over Arlana as well. While Kusuri’s MM revolved around healing Shinshi could use his magic to awaken the potential in all things. By transferring his small bit of powers into Arlana he could potentially not only physical wake her up but awaken a small bit of true potential in all things. She could be stronger, faster, more focused and even her connection to her magic could be stronger. This was how the other Gem Girl could awaken their ability to use their gems. However it was extremely draining and it would only last for a bit. “I wish you luck my friend.” With that said Shinshi closed his eyes passing out for a while.

As Dan turns around to face Chase, the soulless man is no longer near the edge of roof, rather he is standing face to face with the avatar in full body armor minus a helm. "You're not going anymore." He stands so close to him that their foreheads are nearly touching each other. He tightly clinches his fists and stares down the man with his piercing emerald eyes. Without blinking, his eyes shift downwards to witness the broken body of Marceline on the restaurant floor. He didn't know how exactly he feels about her, especially after all the shitty experiences they had with each other. He knows that she probably despises him. He wouldn't even be surprise if he is near the top of Marceline's list of people she hates the most in the entire world. And from his viewpoint, he has no real reasons to care about her. In fact, he is pretty famous for his lack of empathy for others. So much so, that he doesn't even care about the lives of the civilians below (thankfully for them, Kusuri is removing them from the restaurant). Yet, he can't help himself from paying attention to her and being concern about her well being. And seeing her in this current state spurs so much anger, that it causes his body to shake with utter rage. Again, without blinking, his eyes move back to the individual responsible for putting Marceline in that position. With no concern anymore about the stability of his abilities, nor even the conscious control to regulate his abilities, he body begins to emit a powerful aura. His aura grows more and more potent, to the point that it becomes visible to the naked eye in the shape of a coat of dark blue energy dancing around his body. His energy begins to affect the environment around them, making the entire building rattle.
Down below, Smith studies the situation and prepares to go back inside the restaurant and assist Kusuri, but before he could, the ground he stands on begins to shudder. The shaking is light; however, it is more then enough to draw his attention back to the roof. He no longer could see his companion standing near the edge. Without much effort, he already concluded that Chase is engaging Dan. He knew that if Chase delivers one of his more serious strikes it would destroy the restaurant and likely kill everyone inside. His probably waiting for Marceline to be remove from here, thought Smith. Before long, Kusuri is able to evacuate everyone. Smith readies his pistols as he plans on supporting from the distance. He starts to move slightly close in order to get a better angle for his shots, but stops as soon as he a circle of fire forms around the base of the restaurant. The flames emerge from seemly nowhere, but he knew who's behind these flames. At first, the height of the flames are only a foot tall. But before long, the flames double in both size and intensity, which forces him to take a few steps backwards. While trying to determine a good location to take shoot from...."SMITH!!!" The sudden yell from Chase makes him stop his movements momentary. Without needing further words, he drops his pistols (which just dissolve into a series of data codes) and breaks out into a full sprint to get as far away from the restaurant as possible.
As everyone escape the immediate area, Chase reaches for his side and pull out a pen. With a quick hand gesture, the pen transforms into his mighty blade Kagutsuchi. Once his weapon is release in its true form, his overall aura switches to even more vivid output. The restaurant begins to vibrate and cracks start appearing around his feet. The cracks quickly spread to the entirely of the rooftop and expand further to the very foundation of the structure. As his aura was increasing, the flames below ground erupt and increase in volume over and over again in rapid succession. The snow in the town begins to melt from the heat of the flames. The dark blueish energy covering his body suddenly busts into bright orange red flames. Thus making his body appear to be cover in an armor of fire. At the same moment his aura changes, the flames surrounding them erupt well above their heads and fold inwards. Soon enough the flames surround the building in a sphere of fire. Inside the inferno, his aura has apply far too much force for the building to handle, resulting in the restaurant breaking down. As the roof crumples into tiny fragments, Chase and Dan stand still for a brief moment in the open air. During this insignificant amount of time, he swings his sword.
As he runs, he can continue to feel the heat of the flames. It is only after he manages to establish a distance of more than a hundred meters from the restaurant that he decides to look back. Smith adjusts his head just in time to witness a massive explosion. Within a split second he could tell that the majority of the explosion's force is moving in the direction that is directly opposite from his position, yet the shockwave from the explosion alone is powerful enough to swipe him off his feet and launch him another dozen meters. Though he didn't travel so far due to his body's momentum being stop short. This is due to his body smashing against a massive tree that was right in front of him when the explosion occurred.

"You know what, Haruko? I like you, so I'll see what I can do." Eve put a finger to her temple, bringing up her internal GPS. "You two just follow me. I'm got the location down." Into the storm she lead them, until they arrived. "Okay... any of you have rope?"
Abijah giggled. "You won't be putting me in any prison. We will abolish the very institution, and true freedom of the body will finally be had along with freedom of the mind. My masters ascertain it. You will understand when you meet them. Goodbye for now." Abijah vanished in a green flash and Aria found herself holding onto nothing a thousand feet in the air above shaggy pines.
"Yeah, we're getting there." Huntsman said, just as it came into sight. "There's my sister... want to just fly down?" Eve, Haruko, and Crow stood below on the edge of a vast clifside, merely the edge of a enormous circular sinkhole. Hundreds of feet below was what appeared to be a marsh in pink, roughly equal parts water and vibrant rosy foliage. The walls were wet with the falling snow, scarce ledges populated by shuddering, branchy bird like creatures.
Marceline foggily recognized Kusuri in the light filtering through the hole in the ceiling... the one she had just made with her body, she dimly realized. She could feel the shake of the building and grumbled to Kusuri as she felt herself warm. "Get out... I'm not worth it..." She didn't resist when she was drug out, despite her protests. She wasn't trapping somebody better than her in there. But when Kusuri stumbled away from the diner, she stood on battered limbs.
"Get the fuck out of here! Go to the coordinates in the letter! If you don't have them, find Smith! NOW GO!" She yelled, turning back to the diner just in time to see it collapse in flames, entire building folding into a pit opening beneath it. She shut her eye tight and leaped, strength in pain carrying her to the pit. She fell down a surprising distance, finding a deeper pit than she expected. Below was an entire tunnel, lit only by flaming debris and soon, Dan's aura. He held his side where the sword cut a shallow gash through his ceremonial armor. "Huh... so this is the tunnel she mentioned." He remarked softly. He held his hand out, showing blood. "Heh. I like you two. And maybe... you'll give me what I need." He smiled and rushed Chase, launching one hand to grab Chase's wrist and squeeze with annihilating force.

Catching the hot sauce in her hands, Haruko looked at Crow with a slightly confused look on her face. "Hot...sauce? I don't think this is the right kind of hot for this situation, Zappy." Haruko couldn't help but chuckle as she put the packet into her pocket, thinking that Crow meant that somehow a spicy hot sauce packet would warm them up from the cold just by touching it. Nodding her head to Eve, the seamstress thanks the huntress for agreeing with the both of them. At least now none of them were willing to kill Dan outright to end this cult.
Following Eve and Crow through the storm, Haruko listens to Eve's request and reaches into her Kaspa, pulling out a length of rope that wasn't especially long, but could extend out a few meters. "Yeah, I have some that I made before! But...we may need more." She tells Eve, thinking of some way to get down there safely.
---
Freedom of the body and mind? Were all of these people on acid or something? Unfortunately, before Aria could interrogate Abijah further, the Jade magical girl simply vanished in mid-air...leaving Aria to the will of gravity. Fortunately, Aria could control plant biology, so the HWIC president quickly made the nearest pine tree grow at a rapid rate to meet her about halfway down, and she makes the top both thin and flexible as she grabs on, transferring all her momentum into the tree's top; causing it to bend downward sharply...then slowly move back into its starting position with Aria's plant control preventing it from launching her further into the forest. Grabbing onto a branch and riding it downward, Aria lands on the ground and checks her messages. One from Smith?
After listening to it, Aria reads the coordinates and immediately bolts toward the diner. Hopefully she isn't too late.

“A knight, huh?” A tenacious smile slowly made his way into Sun’s beak as Shinshi talked. “I like it!” If that fur ball was willing to reveal what he was, Sun just had to do the same. “I am Sun, the nineteenth card of the true deck of Mayor Arcana and wielder of the Golden Flame. You better remember it, you pretentious prick!” he proclaimed with a furious grin and turned around as Shinshi fainted. He was an annoying little fucker, he hit like a girl and those cloying speeches he gave made he want to hurl. But despite all that, Sun felt a newly found respect growing on his chest towards that tiny furry knight. Sun clicked his tongue in disgust as Shinshi’s Mahouseki magic reached Arlana and waited for his friend to wake up.
Maybe it was because of Shinshi’s energy or the frightening explosion at the dinner as those two men fought, or a combination of both, that made Arlana jumped to her feet as if she was struck by lightning. “Whoa!” she screamed and looked around in confusing with too many questions on her head “Wha? Whe? How? Who?” the words stumbled out of her mouth as she tried to understand where she was. The first thing she saw was Kusuri pink head lying unconscious on the cold and wet dirt, revealed by the meandering flames that engulfed the dinner. “How did she end up here? Didn’t she escape with all the other guys?” Arlana wondered as she sprinted to check on her. The red haired girl didn’t catch a glimpse of Kusuri’s transformation and, although putting two and two together wasn’t that hard, she didn’t realize Kusuri and Ruby Heart were the same person.
A few meters away from them, Arlana noticed her small flaming friend over a rock. Now that Arlana was awake and her ‘magic tank’ was full again Sun was flames were brightly golden, shinning fierce and proud full. “What the hell happened, Sun?” Arlana asked, sitting next to Kusuri and carefully rested her pink haired head on her lap “The last thing I remember was going to the roof with all those creatures and then… Auch!” With a surprised shout, she discovered the rosy triangular burns on her arms and stared at Sun with bewilderment.
The bird took his time to answer. He contemplated what remained of the dinner. Chase’s power had burned the building to its core and the flames seemed to caress its molten skeleton, leaving black scars on the wood and concrete. The dance of those flames as the two fighters exchanged blows was almost hypnotic to the flaming sparrow. He had to control the compelling need to flew towards them and bathe on the warm embrace of the heat. He was the Sun, after all.
“You tried to summon me to get rid of all those fucking creatures and… something went wrong” Sun explained, his eyes fixed on the roaring flames. He didn’t dare to look Arlana in the eye, as he felt responsible for her painful wounds “Something… blocked me. I don’t what it was but something inside you rejected me and we couldn’t complete the ritual. It was like hitting a brick wall” he shook his head in frustration “I tried with all I had to break through it but I just couldn’t. All the energy you put into my card just kept growing and growing, until it was too much too handle and…well… ” his silence was more revealing than his words.
As Sun explained, Arlana’s eyes and mouth opened with each word. She stared in shock at the destroyed dinner with a million thoughts going through her mind. The violent flames shone in her blue eyes “W-we did that?” she asked with trembling voice. “No” Sun answered and the girl sighed in relief “We did that” Following the directions Sun’s beak was pointing, Arlana what seemed as a short piece of burnt wood. Until it moved. It was one of the few pieces left of the army of monsters that had attacked the dinner. One of the creature’s flexible tendrils, scorched into a mere black pulp by Sun’s fire, which twitched like the cut tail of a lizard.
Arlana stared at the severed tentacle and started to tremble. She wasn’t scared of what happened or the monsters, she was scared of the magnitude of her own power. To make things worse, a grim thought popped in her mind “And what happened to the people in the dinner? Don’t tell me we…” She gulped and couldn’t finish the phrase. Almost unable to believe what he was hearing, Sun was finally forced to stare incredulous at his friends. All that was happening and she was worrying about people she didn’t even know? What a weird girl. “They are fine” Sun eased her worries “I managed to control my flames and they just fucked up those monsters and a couple of trees… and perhaps a few rabbits. I think her… the other pink got them out of there before it blew up again” He decided to keep Kusuri’s other identity hidden. Arlana didn’t need another thing on her mind and Sun needed her to be focused.
“Bitchnuggets, I’m so glad to hear that” Once again, the girl sighed with relief. They remained silent, only broken by the howling of the cold winds and the distant sounds of the battle. Arlana turned her attention to Kusuri. She didn’t seem to hurt, just a few bruises and cuts here and there. Most of all, she looked exhausted. “Oh, I know” she muttered as she pulled out her deck and picked a card. She started gathering his power and Sun turned his neck so fast he almost broke it. The magic swirled around Arlana as she closed her eyes and looked for the words in her heart. Her clothes waved gently as if they were caught in a soft breeze. Small dots of light blue light slowly materialized and danced happily around her as she raised the card into the air. When she opened her mouth, the words flew like a clear and powerful torrent “Love of the Clergy, Stream of Emotions! Come!” The card shone over their heads with a blue and refreshing light that cleared their heads and relaxed their bodies “Three of Cups!”
From the tips of her fingers, the ones which were holding the card, a wave of energy blue as the purest of the oceans spread through the card. When it covered it completely, the card broke into three pieces that flowed down Arlana’s arms like small rivers. Just before they reached the ground, the watery energy suddenly stopped and splashed around as if it had hit a curve surface. Slowly, it began filling an invisible cast and in a flash of blue revealed the cups. Their rough exterior, of an old grey crossed by thin streams of blue, and their golden interior were suspiciously similar to the grail of certain Indiana Jones movie. Arlana took one of them carefully, to stop the crystal clear water inside of it of falling and opened Kusuri´s mouth just a bit to let the fresh liquid go down her throat. She then used the second one on the Asian girl wounds, which hissed as the water cleaned them and healed them. It wasn´t much and couldn´t nearly compare to Ruby Heart´s healing powers, but the Cups water relieved pain and recovered lost energies. With some luck, that would ease Kusuri´s suffering.
Sun was astonished. Not because of Arlana´s idea of using the Cups, but by the way she did it. Just a couple of hours before, Arlana could barely summon a card correctly. Her control over the magic was pitiful, almost childish. The power flowed forcefully through her body, like the worse traffic jam in history. But now it was completely different. The energy cursed flawlessly in an overflowing torrent and the girl’s magical reserves were still full. With a quick glance at the ´thread´ connecting both of them, Sun could appreciate how strong and thick it had become. Hell, even he felt bigger, stronger and more powerful. It took him a while to figure out where that sudden improvement came from. “Tsk! Fucking rabbit” he muttered, glancing at the unconscious Shinshi out the corner of his eye “He´s gonna end up getting on my good side”
As Arlana let out a brief moan of pleasure when she poured a bit of healing water over her burned skin, Sun turned around and glared at his master and he spoke with the same rudeness as always. The soft and caring tone Kusuri had heard on the roof of the dinner was completely gone. “All right, dumbass! Listen up!” Arlana stared at him curiously before resting Kusuri against a tree, with Shinshi between her arms. Without a second thought, Arlana got rid of her coat and covered them both with it. “I said, listen up!” exclaimed Sun and Arlana sat in front of him like a schoolgirl in class “I’m gonna tell you something I should have told you a long time ago and you’ll fucking listen, because if we want to beat the hell out of the guy back there we’ll have to fuse!”
With the rest of the last Cup still on her hands, Arlana looked behind her to the burning dinner. “Why? I mean… if there’s no regular people there we should just let them fight, right?” She asked frowning, taking a sip of the cup. “Because, you idiot, that back there… is a Card!”
“PFFFTTT!” Sun was suddenly showered when Arlana spat like a sprinkler “A WHAT? Which one?”. It took Sun a couple of seconds to finally stop cursing as the water evaporated against his flaming body. “I usually can’t say for shit who of the others I’m near” he said, fixing his eyes on the flaming fight “But I can recognize that creepy as presence anywhere. That guy right there is…
THE DEVIL.”

There were actually a bunch of people below Huntsman and Matt so the blond gentleman had no idea which one Huntsman was tlaking about. "Um, sure. I just hope they don't think we're some of those creatures." Well, her sister will probably recognize Huntsman and she does look human (except for the wings). But Matt couldn't vouch for his own safety until he turned back.

Chase prepares to further engage Dan, yet he momentarily stops as he picks up a particular stubborn soul falling after them. -DAMN IT MARCELINE!!!- Yet before he could properly turn around and yell at her for coming down here, the gauntlet covering his wrist begins to bend upon the force of the Avatar's grip. The pain is more than enough to reallocate his attention back to his foe. With a quick gesture, he plants his feet and commands his sword to revert back into a pen. He closes his hand around the object and forms a tight fist. Even though his soul link weapon is currently in its disguise form, he could still call upon its abilities in such a shape to deliver devastating power against whoever he wishes to strike. The flames all around them start to shift and travel in a spiraling steam towards his closed fist. His amor hand begins to glow burning red and is quickly surrounded by a sphere of fire. Thankfully, Marceline is standing behind Chase and not Dan, otherwise Chase would not be able to deliver this attack with his current lack of control. Without any concerns, he launches his burning fist right at Dan's solar plexus.
Now, the amount of force behind his incoming fist alone could have probably been enough to destroy the previous restaurant several times over, but the true horror of his blow will come in the form of the blazing heat wave that emerges at the end of his strike. The ball of flames that were within the imminent proximity of his clutch hand expands outwards in the same direction that his punch is moving, creating a truly hot and massive flamethrower. Every inch of the tunnel's floor, walls, and ceiling are set ablaze for more than a hundred meters beyond his knuckles. The heat releasing from his punch would be more than enough to even melt iron and steel without much effort. However, The true damage of the flames smashing against the tunnel will not be revealed until the the burst of fire dies down. But once it does, an observer will notice that roughly a hundred meters directly in front of the Chase, appears to be some sort of active lava tunnel. On the surface, Smith brings himself upright after the painful experience of smashing against a tree at fast speeds. Looking back at the town, he figures that Chase was being too unstable. At this rate, he might end up becoming a liability instead of an asset. Still, for the meantime, he will have to proceed with the mission. Figuring that the best option was to go to the coordinates given to him, especially since their most difficult obstacle is currently being distracted by his soulless companion. Though, even his genius couldn't help him predict how long Chase can distract someone as strong as Dan. Hopefully, he can keep him busy enough for him to discover what is going on here. He begins to walk towards the coordinates, but soon spots the girls and their pets, who helped saved the civilians from before.
Smith approaches them and realizes that one pair seems to be no longer conscious. Meanwhile, the other pair appears to be even more potent then before. -What exactly transpire here?- Regardless, he didn't have the time to figure out their sudden increase in power. Looking at the regular folk here, he isn't too fond of leaving them undefended, especially if more monsters like before show up. Yet, he knew that they should go where they can do the most good. Eventually he addresses Arlana and Sun, "It seems like the two of you have gotten stronger...even if momentarily. The two of you should start moving in that direction." He said as he points towards the coordinates. "I am planning on going there myself, but before I do, I would like to know if you can tell me where my associate is? She is the one with a lot of volume and was swinging the baseball bat against those creatures earlier." He also decides to use his mental communication device to ask Marceline herself, [Where are you right now?] Last time he saw her, she was with being rescued by Kusuri, yet he couldn't spot her anywhere near them right now. Which means she had to have taken off somewhere. While waiting for a response, he starts to prepare to move towards the coordinates. As he waits, he issues a few mental commands as to let Aria know the current state of affairs, as well as giving out the new location to the HWIC Evac team, where they can remove the innocent citizens from the area.

Dreams of a Magic Girl! Down into the Pit!
The Last Gunslinger followed behind Haruko and Eve his hand near Quicksilver keeping an eye on the area around them just in case they were ambushed again however nothing came. It wasn’t long before the trio found the edge of the sinkhole with its’ marshy pit. The Rail-gun looked down over the edge and knocked a nearby rock into it letting plummet down below into the marsh in order to judge the distance and result of someone taking a tumble down the edge. He turned to the Hunter and Seamstress. “Hmmm I wonder if this sink hole was always here or did Dan and the Primal Roar make this location. I agree it’s best to scale down this cliff side with rope instead of going the hard way. Hopefully we don’t get attacked by any vampires on the way down.” With that said Crow looked over towards Haruko remembering their fight against the Vampires in Romania. “I brought along some rope but it’s also not much.” Crow removed a length of rope from within his poncho it was probably no longer than Haruko’s rope maybe a bit shorter. The cowboy looked towards Eve, “Hopefully your Superman scarf can extend for hundreds of meters….” Crow stopped mid joke and turned to look behind them. “Heads up. Someone else just arrived. They could be friend or foe.” Crow hand slid down to Quicksilver but didn’t draw it. He could make out the forms of Huntsman and Matt in the distance above them but wasn’t sure who they were. Hopefully they were allies of Haruko or Eve however if they weren’t Crow had no problem tossing them down into the marsh below so they had something soft to land on.
Meanwhile back in the forest near the dinner Kusuri’s wounds were slightly healed and she would awake in time thanks to the actions of the newly recharged Arlana. However right now Kusuri was still asleep and having some restless dreams, not bad dreams just unusual dreams. The young nurse was standing in a beautiful yet eerily vacant palace. Everything glowed ever so lightly as the floor and walls some to be made of some pure white precious stone. No longer was Kusuri in the cold Siberia forest instead the area she seemed to be in now was slightly warm, glowing gems of lined along the walls which created the light in the room yet they seemed dim so the outside everything just outside the room was near pitch black. As if nothing outside of this area seemed to exist. Kusuri looked around she didn’t recognize this place and she couldn’t spot anyone she knew. “Hello is anyone there? Where am I? Shinshi? Arlana? Mom? Dad? Hello?!” Kusuri walked around nervously fear creeped into her ever so slightly this place seemed so large yet there seemed to be no one around. Then she stopped something in the distance.
Near the center of the room located on platform appeared to be the largest diamond Kusuri had ever witness, it was taller than a grown adult and about as wide as one two. As the Mahoseki Warrior got closer and closer she realized the diamond had a rectangular shaped, and upon closer inspection it seemed to be shaped like a coffin a fact that was more morbid once she realized there appeared to be a silhouette of someone in the diamond coffin. The Gem Girl shivered slightly in fear and clenched her chest in anxiety. “Hello someone please help me? I need to get back to my friends. Can someone please tell me where I am?” For a moment only the echo of her own voice reached her ears until a voice came from behind the diamond coffin that made Kusuri nearly shriek and jump in fear. “Are you afraid girl?” A young woman walked out from behind the diamond coffin around the platform. She appeared to in her mid-thirties but with flawless skin and a young slim body she looked no more than twenty. “Don’t be afraid girl. You name is Kusuri right? It is a pleasure to meet you.”
