Standing to the side during Marceline and Cosmina's moment, Haruko leaned against the wall near the door with her arms folded across her chest, with a small smile spread across her face. Even though today had her boyfriend she had been dating for many months break up with her over a matter that didn't involve him, it was moments like these that made Haruko feel confident that she made the right choice of not sending Cosmina away even in the face of that ultimatum. And it extends beyond even Cosmina, as now Marceline can go out and find her own place in life without having to worry about providing for her younger sister.
Once Marceline pulled out of the hug with Cosmina, Haruko gave her a small nod and continued her smile. Opening the door once more, Haruko made a small motion with her head to the outside. "I've already said my goodbyes, so I'll just say this; good luck with life, Marceline." Thinking back to valentine's day, Haruko couldn't imagine what life was like living with Marika every day. But now...it was completely different; as both Cosmina and Marceline managed to secure their freedom, and today, Marceline takes that on a step further with freedom from taking care of Cosmina. She would be interested to see where her life goes after today.

"Good luck with life, Marceline." Marceline gurgled a little at that. "I'm gonna need it, aren't I?" She took some measured breaths and stepped out the door. She was finally totally free but also adrift, a ship without an anchor. She had a job and things to occupy her time in the future, but was it what she really wanted or was it just all she could do? Empty doing behind and empty doing ahead. But without the last vestige of her life under Marika, maybe it would be fine. Her wide mouth made a small smile as she walked away from the house. It would be a long, lonely trek, but for once she thought there might be something good at the end.
