When Marika was defeated and her boyfriend in progress destroyed, she was crushed. In pain and despair, she thought of those who inflicted this upon her. She had to get back at them, but how? There was only so much she could do. And then the idea came coursing through her mind. She would copy them, show them how much better she was! And thus the hate dolls were born. The hate dolls are almost a family, with Ash and Jane as kids, Martha and Haven the parents, Cadence the detached cousin, and Patches the creepy uncle.
Haven
Height: 5’8’’
Powers: Haven can create different colored sound waves, and use music to amplify their effectiveness.
Mini bio: Based on Haruko Miyata, mainly her magical girl form, Haven is a natural DJ by trade and loves to make music similar to dubstep. On stage, Haven adopts the name Amethyst Venom for his fans to call him by, and has already amassed a sizable fan base for his music. While on stage, Haven’s personality is mostly cool and loud, acting like as much of a rock star as possible. At home though, he is much more caring and looks after his siblings, especially when Patches is around.
The oddest trait about Haven is his anatomy. Comprised of a male chest and arms, female waist and legs, a set of both genitalia, and an androgynous voice, Haven is a pure hermaphrodite. But Haven doesn’t mind this much, and tells people he considers himself equal parts male and female, so either pronouns are fine when addressing him.
Jane
Lucas Bustos
Height: 4’10”
Powers: Can shoot foam that disintegrates any material but untreated flesh.
Mini bio: Jane is based on John, an incubus. As a result, she’s an utter flirt and sexual deviant in the ways Marika hates most. As a result of John being Marika’s helpless victim most of the time Marika knew him, she is also an utter coward, hiding behind others and avoiding conflict at all costs. It doesn't help that her powers are nearly useless for battle. As her foam doesn't harm living things, the most she can do to most people is remove their clothing. However, to robots or tech-based fighters, she is a true threat, capable of destroying or neutralizing them. She may be anxious to the point of neurosis, but luckily her cheerfulness carries her through.
Jane is absolutely tiny, coming across as younger than the others in body as well as her mind. She has pale skin to go with her hair, so pale a blue it's almost white. This feathery mop is short in the front and tied into a curly, messy cloud in back. Her eyes are huge and sky blue. Her face is very round. Her body is very soft, with little muscle, and she has a bit more of a child's plumpness than her siblings.
Usually, she wears one of her colorful trenchcoats or a sweater and sweatpants. Her favorite sweater is blue and decorated with lighter blue bubble embroideries.
Ash
Height: 5’10’’
Powers: Complete control over heat. Ash can add heat to an area until the floor is essentially magma, or she can remove heat until the area in question is frozen over as an icicle. Also has toxic smoke in her lungs.
Mini bio: Ash is based on the Gateway student Ashlea Primrose, and is one of the most self-centered people on Earth. Believing herself to be no less than perfect, Ash believes the world revolves around her, and craves the attention of others to show off her magnificence. To maintain her “perfect” body, Ash works out near obsessively, focusing primarily on lifting weights as opposed to cardio. While she’d love to strengthen her legs, one of her key weaknesses is revealed when she tries; she has asthma. Inside of her lungs is a collection of toxic gas that is stored until she blows it out during battle, providing cover for her and poisoning anyone around. The obvious downside to this is that she can barely run a block without gasping for air, and is one of the only dolls that can actually suffocate to death.
Ash is never without a mirror, and loves to admire herself. Inside of her room, she has a collection of dumbbells, video games, and a full length mirror that she admires herself in every day. She is also extremely competitive, wanting to prove herself superior to others at any chance she can. Even if that entails a competition that would leave her wheezing on the ground, reaching for her inhaler while still saying she can go on. Because she is perfect.
Cadence
Height: 4’9’’
Powers: Cadence has the natural ability to control and manipulate plant life. From summoning giant trees out of the ground to making a single flower bloom, she can accomplish it all. Her body is also a hybrid between plant and human, allowing her to regrow her own limbs in seconds if they happen to be damaged. She can also manipulate fungi if they are the only materials available in the area, creating spores that could poison beings in the vicinity.
Mini bio: Based off of the leader of the HWIC, Aria Miyata, Cadence was born with a tiny amount of patience, and was perpetually pissed off to the point of shouting at anyone who annoyed her even slightly. However, after a trip into the city, Cadence discovered the calming effects of using a pipe and now always carries it around with her, supplying more material into it with her plant powers. While the substance is not anything that has been documented, it is effective at calming down her nerves and dulling her pain receptors. Now she is the calmest one of the group, never becoming sober again by constantly filling her body with smoke.
Cadence loves nature, and spends most of her time inside of the Kaspa’s greenhouse, occasionally experimenting with her powers to change the plant layout and general smell of the room. With her new apathetic nature, Cadence now thinks more clearly about her actions, and can create battle strategies with ease. While she is apathetic toward humans in general, she will defend her siblings from harm, Jane especially. While she can’t attack Patches, Cadence has discovered that she can tie up the manipulative doll with vines and leave her there until being told to let her go.
Martha
Jonatan Yapura
Height: 5'6"
Powers: Can freely manipulate glass. Also has unrelated powerful voice.
Mini bio: Martha was made as a copy of Arthur, the child loving ice mage. She ended up a bit beyond what Marika had intended. She does indeed love children, and is loved by them. She never talks down to them, engages them on their level, and has more energy than them, loving to run freely in any sport or game that comes her way. But unintended traits raise their heads in the form of her fearsome temper and unbreakable rebellious streak. She’s always ready to explode on Marika from some injustice or another, and any punishment just pisses her off more.

She's also not much smarter than the children she loves, with a mind as blunt as a bat. She has difficulty thinking things through, acting rashly at all opportunities. As she's not especially bright, she instead works her way through problems by sheer stubbornness. She refuses to give up on any problem until she's solved it, no matter how much effort it takes. While not loyal to Marika, she is extremely loyal to her friends and family. She'd die for any of them, but with how tough she is, she probably won't have to.
Her face is somewhat sharp and narrow, with ice blue eyes that look like they could cut steel when angry. Her nose is pointy and has been broken at least once, although it doesn't show in any normal fashion, having been repaired by Marika. A straight scar cuts across her left cheek. Her hair is a spiky mess, stabbing out in spikes mostly on the sides and bottom, extending to about her neck at the lowest. The whole mass is blinding white, and her eyebrows are very similar.
She is roughly as muscular as Ash, but in different ways. Her arms are rather normal, her abs are above average, but her legs are exceptionally well muscled. These are shown off by her short white shorts. Above that, she wears a short, light blue top that looks like a scarf around her neck and a sports bra of the same color underneath (not usually visible) on her utterly flat chest. Over that, she wears an open white buttoned jacket. This makes a large, irregularly shaped scar visible on her abdomen but not usually the similar one on a parallel location on her back. Another similar scar runs from the edge of her lips down her left cheek. Her large feet are almost always clad in big white sneakers custom made by Marika, with little blue arrows pointing to her toes.
Patches
Height: Variable
Powers: Can remove appendages and replace them with others at will, willing her soul string to unstich and rethread.
Mini bio: Marika saw nothing from Huntsman but violence and perversion, and Patches was made to exemplify these. She is utterly twisted, getting off on rape and torture even if it’s inflicted upon her. And all throughout, she keeps a casual cruelty, smiling away as her victim bleeds out of the hole she carved in their intestines for the sole purpose of screwing it. She is hated even by the other hate dolls, but she doesn’t mind. One day, she’ll make them love her.
Patches looks however she wants given the parts she needs to shape herself. The only consistent feature is her flat, pale grey. Eyes, tongue, hair, and skin, she's grey all over.
Patches died after a battle with Amai of the Wild Hunt. She is missed by nobody in the household.
Callie
Height: 5’9”
Powers: Callie has the powers of a cat packaged into a human shape. Her hearing and sense of smell are far beyond a human being’s, and her night vision is incredible. Her body is also naturally flexible, working with her impossible reflexes to dodge anything thrown at her. This helps her impressive skills with the bow and katana, the primary weapons of the samurai she was made to emulate.
Mini bio: Marika heard of Callis’ reclusive nature and inclination to training from Yuu. Callie exemplifies these. She is painfully shy, especially of the opposite sex, something she has very little experience with, preferring to stay in her room and hone her skills with her weapons.
Callie is a slender, pale doll. She has sad blue eyes and blonde hair that reaches her shoulders. Peeking through the hair are her ears, shaped and placed like a cat’s. Her small nose is sharply pointed over her thin lips.
Callie wears a loose, long sleeved shirt that buttons up in front. This tucks into her black pants. Accentuating both is her long blue scarf, widening the further towards the ends it goes to resemble a cape. A leather sheath like that for a western sword hangs at her side, heavily decorated with embossed images, containing a katana. Similarly fancy is her quiver, holding not just arrows but her bow, made of polished black wood.
Sidney
Height: 5’2”
Powers: Sidney can change her personal gravity, falling in any direction she pleases or hovering casually. She can do the same to small objects, but not anything over a few pounds. She is an expert faller and can do significant damage by doing so.
Mini bio: Sidney is of course based on Sid, a martial artist only briefly known by Marika who still managed to incite her fury by breaking her jaw. All she saw of him and heard from Yuu was his infuriating laid back attitude, and as such Sidney exemplifies this. Sidney is lazy to an astounding extent, preferring to float about over even walking between rooms.
This belies the sheer passion she can put into her hobbies, Legos and mechanics specifically. Sidney will spend hours creating a Lego city or contraption to open the door so she doesn’t have to, like an all too relaxed mad scientist. Other than her obsessions, she has a lackadaisical view of all things, especially scientific ethics. She can be callous, even cruel, and rarely shows much emotion.
Sidney is a light brown skinned doll with a plump body and no muscle mass to speak of, giving her a squat look when combined with her height. Frazzled reddish brown hair sprouts in all directions from her head, giving her a sort of halo of hair, making her deep red eyes look even deeper in her skull than they’re actually set. This gives her a weary appearance. She wears a black turtleneck and tight pants of the same color under a brown leather jacket with two steel rings on each shoulder and another on each cuff. Her boots are brown suede, each with two steel rings wrapping around them.
Raven
Height: 5’10”
Powers: Raven acts as a living battery, absorbing and discharging electricity. She requires a charge to make use of her electrical powers, but luckily has a few more tricks as backup. Her fancy gunslinging is backed up by her special eyes, not only capable of seeing things with greater detail than a human being but seeing slightly into the future when she focuses power in them.
Arsenal-Two revolvers with ricocheting bullets, and can be infused with electricity to track the opponent or metallic objects. She also has a semi automatic rifle that increases the speed of its bullet via electrical impulse. One of her favorite guns is a shotgun she keeps that creates a net of electricity between the metallic pellets once fired, dramatically increasing the range of the weapon. The two newest additions to Raven’s arsenal are a pair of pistols that shoot plasma, and a shotgun that shoots incendiary ammo.
Mini bio: Raven’s a storyteller. She loves telling tales of her past, but there’s one problem. Raven has no real past, having been created in her adult state by Marika. So instead she fabricates an elaborate history to support her ego and faux “southern” charm.
The most prominent feature of Raven’s face are her emerald green eyes, so vibrantly leaflike they seem to glow. They actually do glow when she gains a charge, and green electricity arcs over her body. Her brown hair reaches her mid back, often braided. While she is white, she is heavily tanned and a few freckles dot her cheeks.
Raven tops her head with a white cowboy hat. Below the head, she wears an off-white denim jacket over a button-up brown shirt. She holds on her blue jeans with a belt riddled with pouches for ammo and two holsters for her pistols. The belt buckle displays a flying raven.
Robin
Height: 6’0”
Powers: Robin’s hands and feet can generate explosions. They generate enough force to throw her off the ground and blow down walls, and if she touches a surface, she can even make a delayed blast that goes off later. She uses her scarf to help this form of combat, batting at and entangling people for explosive strikes. Her golden eyes can see the materials objects are made from, having been taken from a treasure guarding spirit.
Mini bio: Robin was made with Goemon’s clashes with Callis in mind. She matches her namesake, smiting evil and gladly taking their money or other goods for herself, sometimes sending it on to the poor, often not. She doesn't hoard the goods she takes, using or giving away anything she gets. She is in a constant state of hand-to mouth living, stealing lumps of money and quickly blowing through them in charity and spending on nice meals, clothes and entertainment. Even the just can face her in combat if she wants to hone her bandit art, but more often, against those who aren't evil she satisfies herself with pickpocketing and petty theft without hurting them.
Robin is a dark skinned black woman, with a wide mouth usually stretched in a wide smile and a broad nose. She has dark freckles across her cheeks and nose and deep brown eyes. Her body is muscular, not to the extent of Ash or Martha, but enough that it shows. Her forearms and lower legs are marked with pink scars. Robin wears a green sleeveless shirt with yellow highlights. A bright green scarf hangs from her neck, long enough to reach her hips. The scarf has darker green stripes down it and weighted yellow balls hanging off each end, four on each side.
Her long black hair is a wide and long cloud that falls to her lower back. It is held back by her green bandana and goggles, which she flips down over her mouth and eyes when she fights. The goggles have a white rim and band and a joined red lens. The goggles are matched by her red wristbands. She wears bright yellow track pants with green stripes down the side and usually goes barefoot.
Chelsea
Height: 4’10”
Powers: Chelsea commands the force of hellfire. Black flames pour from her body that inflict unspeakable pain on the soul. They don’t harm anything physical, but they devour things like ki and normal fire. Any limb that is burned loses functionality for 24 hours. Those burnt also have difficulty with their morality for this duration. They become more selfish and less empathetic, more prone to cruelty. She has other demonic parts in her body as well, namely the wings that expose themselves to allow flight and her eyes, which can see souls.
She also has other demonic features she can manifest with some effort. Two wings with morphology like a bat’s stretch from her back. The fingers and membranes are cherry red and drip with slime that bubbles and steams. The arm has feathers so dark a red they’re nearly black.
Chelsea wields a black kriegsmesser, illusioned to have serrated edges, a skull on the hilt, and a much larger blade. She commands great strength and speed due to the demonic parts she contains, and while she claims that using them makes her soul ache with damnation, nobody else notices a difference.
Mini bio: Chelsea is more bitter than the coffee she’s addicted to. She is an edgy teen through and through, from her dark makeup to her blood-soaked poetry (which is all utterly awful). Still, beneath all the spite and darkness, she has a soft spot for her family and animals, but mostly those of the monstrous sort. The more dangerous and strange the animal, the more of an affinity she has for it, from hell hounds to seps to katthveli. She can't claim to be a beast tamer, but she is less likely to aggravate a large animal than others.
Chelsea is a young teen and the skinniest doll. Her wavy blonde hair falls in two huge bundles to her upper thighs. These bundles are held by pink hair bands with large red hearts in front. Her eyes are large and blue and her nose pointed, with a mouth a little bit wide for her face. She wears a frilly pink dress that goes down to her mid thighs. The frills on the edge of the loose skirt look like little white roses. Her white stockings go up well past where her skirt ends. Her sleeves reach her wrists, ending with white lace.
Josefina
Height: 13’0”
Powers: Josefina is made of solid earth and stone, and her strength matches this. While she is slow, she can lift trucks and hits harder than one. She can enter the earth herself and move through it, strings spreading among it to command it.
Mini bio: Josefina is a gentle giant for the most part, a mute figure that carefully interacts with others so as not to harm them. She has a fondness for all these little things, and her wrath is truly terrible when invoked. She seeks challenge above all else, things and people strong enough for her to wrestle at full strength. When without anything better to do, she hones her skills lifting boulders and training her fighting skills against enemies small and large. She enjoys the solitude and meditating alone, reminding her of the anime and old martial arts movies that the other dolls have introduced her to.
Josefina is entirely formed of brown earth interspersed with stones but for her head. She has a solid build, with all her features coarse, body mass not clearly resembling muscle or fat. Her hands only have four fingers each. Her head is a tall rectangular block of solid grey and white speckled rock, polished shiny with rounded edges. Into it her face is carved, a permanent smile with closed eyes. While she has no need for clothing, lacking anything to cover for modesty reasons or any cold sensitivity, she tends to wear either brightly colored sundresses or normal blue overalls.
Her face is somewhat sharp and narrow, with ice blue eyes that look like they could cut steel when angry. Her nose is pointy and has been broken at least once, although it doesn't show in any normal fashion, having been repaired by Marika. A straight scar cuts across her left cheek. Another similar scar runs from the edge of her lips down her left cheek. Her large feet are almost always clad in big white sneakers custom made by Marika, with little blue arrows pointing to her toes.
