Personality
Arthur is a person who tries to be laid back most of the time. He doesn't take life all to seriously most of the time and is prone to seeking fun in very risky adventures, such as breaking into a superprison. One could say he is addicted to thrills, as could be seen in his tendency to drive either his bike or his car like a maniac because regular driving feels too slow. He also values looking cool and stylish and being dramatic when it comes to little things over doing something more practically, which can come off as childish to most. Despite this, he can show a more mature side when the occasion calls for it, and he can show a cold pragmatism when he has a clear goal
He also has anger issues, more specifically, he has a berserk button in the harming of children. Arthur has a naturally caring side for children, further boosted by a connection to the gods of his world, specifically Wolfenhardt (lit. Child Goddess). He cares about children deeply, even giving sizable monthly donations to charities dedicated to children, or donating to orphanages. So when someone hurts or even threatens to hurt kids, Arthur can be sent into a berserk state where the world goes red and all he sees in front of him is the person or persons who deserved his wrath.
Arthur also cares about the people he calls friends. He is ready to help them in any way, be it moneterily or in assisting them during stupid things (only partially motivated by his thrill seeking ways) and will fight to protect them or let them run ahead even if he could outpace them so he could protect their rear, even if them getting hurt does not provoke the same papa wolf instincts a hurt childi does.
Appearance
Arthur is an adult now in his 30s, but thanks to an illness, believed to be magical in nature, his body froze at thagego of 15. Even though he appears young he has a well-built body. His black hair reaches right below his chin. His eyes are dark green. He wears a black long coat with blue line patterns on the back made to look like a wolf's head. He has a white shirt underneath it and a black or red tie. He also wears black jeans. While he lost contact with the old members of FCL, he still sometimes wears his FCL uniform consisting of gray jeans and a black T-shirt. He still wears a black coat, lined with fur taken from arctic monsters and has two black metal shoulder guards layered like a samurai's. The FCL logo is on his back.
His casual outdoors clothes differ in that they usually consist of jeans and shirts with some logo or some drawing of a wolf. At home, he probably wears any kind of comfortable pants, probably black, and a black t-shirt.
Power and Abilities
Drawn by Jonatan D. Yapura
His primary ability come from magic. Arthur comes from a different world, in a different dimension. It is a planet smaller than Earth, primarily low land with no water surfaces the size of Earth's seas. It's inhabitants learned of magic early on in their evolution. As they evolved further, so did their magic, eventually diversifying into different forms of spellcasting that can share some basic spells, but ultimately use mana in entirely different ways. Arthur belongs in the mage category, transforming mana into natural elements that they have a special affinity for. All mages have a major affinity with one of the four Major elements: Water, Fire, Earth, and Air; but those who have an affinity for those elements pure forms are rare and powerful enough only one of each exists at one time. Everyone else has a variant that is "polluted" by one of the other elements as a secondary one
Arthur's Major element is Water, his secondary is Air, giving him Ice magic. But in Hellcraper he gained or learned of an affinity to an element never heard of before. It manifested itself in time powers, but extensive reading and research he performed in secret revealed it was a form of an element believed to be a myth even in ancient times: Soul. While his time powers were burned out during House of Eternity, his Ice magic remains and gives him an inherent weakness to heat. Warm days can lead to sunburn, fire can burn him faster than a regular person, and damage dealt by high temperatures is slower to heal even with healing spells. He combats it somewhat with his coat, enchanted by Enchanters of his world to resists temperatures, but it doesn't help much when fighting someone using flames. On the other hand, his ice affinity gives him a resistance to cold, where he could swim naked in a frozen lake without feeling discomfort.
Cryokinesis:
While he is capable of performing nonspecific spells, Arthur's magic primarily takes the form of ice. He can create ice out of nowhere and shape it to his will. He mostly uses it to create weapons for himself. Most commonly he uses the following:
Frost sword - Arthur makes a sword out of ice. The sword is very sharp and Arthur can give it any shape he wants. The most common form is unlike a sword one would usually see on Earth.
Frost shield/barrier/dome - Arthur can make a barrier out of ice. It can be created as a shield that Arthur or someone else can carry around, as a wall that appears wherever Arthur desires, and a dome guarding an area on all sides. But he has developed a tendency to use these as less of a defense and uses the walls as floating platforms to change course during jumps as well as break his falls and to simply stand on them if he feels like it.
Ice shard - A simple shard of ice. Arthur can make it in any size, and wherever he wants. He can make many of them and hurl them at distant opponents.
Ice wings - Wings made out of ice. Arthur uses them to fly.
Frozen armor - And ability Arthur gained during the trip in Hellscraper. The armor provides excellent protection against physical damage and even heat. It is also very cold and prolonged exposure to it's cold would cause the wearer frostbite. Depending on how much protection he requires, he can choose to only cover his chest, make a full suit of armor covering his entire body, or make anything inbetween.
Freezer - A spell which summons a small pocket dimension. As the name would imply, the pocket dimension isn't bigger than a freezer and is much colder.
Frostball - Like a standard fireball only with frost. It is the first offensive spell which he made that deals magic damage rather than physical damage like his frost shards. After an encounter with a salamander he learned how to make the ball explode whenever he wants and he also learned how to shape its blasts.
Freeze beam - Arthur's most powerful offensive move, a beam of concentrated frost cold enough to freeze the very air around it. When it makes contact with its target, it explodes with building destroying force and freezes everything in a 3-meter radius. He thinks this is the most visually spectacular spell when used in combination with WOM mode and might turn it on just when casting this even in the middle of serious combat.
Gas Chamber - You think your immunity to ice attack will stop Arthur? Hah! it will only bring about a worse death to you. Gas Chamber imprisons you in a dome of dry ice. The ice will melt on the inside of the dome, releasing CO2 which will cause CO2 poisoning. Hey, it's not Arthur's fault you only ever saw ice as frozen water.
Frost wraps - Coats Arthur's hands and shins with frost energy that will explode much like a frostball upon impact with someone. This is another thing he learned from the salamander.
Chronomancy (Burned out):
During the Hellscraper, Arthur was offered a chance to learn Chronomancy by Jardsam. Obviously, as a responsible person offered a chance to study the ability to control time by the person he was fighting not five minutes ago, he took it without a second thought. The power certainly came in handy, especially in House of Eternity, where Arthur used Time Rewind to turn back time while Bringer of Winter manifested. Winter's very presence affected reality to such a degree twisting time to his whims was a struggle and he ended up burning out his time powers. While he can still use some powers, they are weakened so much as to make them useless.
Time Slow - He slows time. After House of Eternity, it only works for a second or two.
PMMMR dimension - A spell much like Freezer, but the difference is that it is a larger and isn't as cold. Instead, time doesn't flow inside it. After House of eternity, its size was reduced to a regular drawer.
Chrono Clone aka Chlone - Arthur variation of Paradox Clones which he considers both more useful and far more cost efficient. While he can use it in combat, the most common use of the chlones is using them to seem as if he's working at his company even though he's actually spending time with Love and/or Haze and/or doing anything else really. Though, by the rules of the Chlones, he technically is working at the same time he's wasting time. After House of Eternity, he can only make one and creating one takes much, much longer.
Miscelinous spells:
Healing spell - A basic healing spell. Well, if basic healing spells could be used to cure most, if not all, diseases known to man.
Light orb - Arthur summons a ball of light to shine in a small area. He can either make the orb stick to one location or make it follow someone.
Greater sealing - Arthur can cast a Greater seal on objects to lock them until the seals are removed through some means.
Enlarge - Enlarges a target. How much larger the target gets is up to the caster, but the minimum is two times the original size.
Feather - Lowers the weight of the target. Some mages can make themselves so light that they start flying. Arthur can only make it so that he gains speed.
WOM mode - A spell of Arthur's own making... And it's entirely pointless. The name stands for Waste Of Mana mode and that's exactly what it does. When Arthur decides to turn this mode on, every spell he uses gets a flashy effect which serves no point other than wasting mana. And looking cool.
Telepath's curse - A well-known spell in Arthur's world. It lets one read the thoughts of another, as if through telepathy. But it is dangerous, for while it lets the caster read the thoughts of the target, the target also hears the caster's thoughts. That is so disorienting and confusing that eventually, neither will be able to differentiate his thoughts from the others and they will basically become one being in two bodies. Of course, this is one reason that this spell is popular among old couples who truly love each other.
Illusion - A weak illusion spell. Almost anyone with lower level magic resistance can see through them, though if Arthur really concentrates he can it stronger. He mostly uses it to make himself look older, usually when picking up Loveline or going on business meetings.
Martial arts and Sword proficiency:
Arthur spent a lot of time traveling around the world as a kid, studying its customs as part of his leadership training mandated by his father. As part of his martial training, he was also encouraged learned many martial arts from all over the world. A master of none, he chooses to combine all of them into a fighting style that lets him show off rather than be completely practical. Of al the arts he trained in, the one that he liked the most was with what appeared to be the spirit of Muramasa in a special technique utilizing his ancient blades. Not because it particularly stuck with him (he's not used it enough to remember most moves aside from the very basics do to it being impractical without enhanced katanas) but because it led to him meeting his first love.
Power of faith
Arthur's world has a deep connection to its gods. The gods communicate in a way with their followers, who feel the gods' wills when praying in front of the statues representing them. The statues show usually positioned so that the three main goddesses standing back to back, bigger than the 12 gods. The three goddess are: Wolfenhardt (lit. Child Goddess), Ernenhardt (lit. Mother Goddess), and Braktenhardt (lit. Old Goddess). The 12 gods are lesser deities; 10 of them being sons of Ernenheart, who is eternally pregnant with another, and the other two being ancient kings of Arthur's world whose deeds earned them a place among the gods.
While no one is forced to accept the faith, those who do are asked by any gods that approve of them to become their champions. The person chooses whose champion they will be and are given a boost in power as long as they follow the god's creed. Arthur devoted himself to Wolfenhardt and swore to protect all the children he can. If he were to knowingly hurt a child when there was any other option and it wouldn't result in more children being protected, he would lose his powers until he redeemed himself. Aside from making him stronger, the goddess provides a form of sixth sense at times that can guide him to children in danger, and it gives him an aura that helps make children trust him more easily.
Aversion to death:
During Hellscraper, Jardsam used his power to grant immortality to part of FCL in the form of not aging. While Arthur already wasn't aging, Jardsam's power made it so that death will seek to avoid him and fate will make it so that deadly events are not as deadly for him. Though he can still die if he tries or is very unlucky.

Equipment
Accel End, the blade that cuts through time (Shattered) - One of the three swords which held up the chapel of Hellscraper where Jardsam tried to end the universe. It was the first to be pulled out when Arthur was knocked into the past. Jardsam thought Arthur chronomancy but since he had problems with speeding up time, Jardsam gave him the sword. Probably not a good idea as it was shown later.
Just like it's brother, Keyblade, and sister, Fairy Edge, this sword could have gained different forms and abilities. However, unlike the Keyblade's automatic form gathering based on social connections or Fairy Edge's automatic form gathering based on experiences, Accel End has a special means of gathering forms which Arthur never managed to figure out. In its basic form, it looks like a black sword with a sharp silver edge. Near the top, it has an engraved rune which not even the greatest of rune readers know. Its hilt and hilt-guard are black too. The hilt-guard protects only one side. In this form, it can cut through time anomalies and by focusing mana through it Arthur is able to speed up time.
After House of Eternity, the blade shattered from the struggle against bringer of Winter. When summoned, it will still appear, but all the shards will just fall to the ground right after.
Wolf's Soul - A gem made from the soul of a helpful individual. In the Hellscraper, FCL met a rival group called Wizardroad. At first, they didn't like each other. When they finally joined forces, however, Wizardroad lost two of its members and two more left. The souls of the two dead members, as well as the soul of a Phantom from a different timeline, were turned into gems and given to FCL by Death himself.
Upon taking the gem, it was absorbed into Arthur and gave him wolf-like senses, improving his sense of smell, hearing and giving him the ability to sense emotions, but at the same time making him able to see only in different shades of yellow and blue. It also improved his reflexes and makes him get hungry faster. After some time, Arthur learned how to switch it on and off at will.
Die of MoG - A die made of ice that twitches erratically. It's a "gift" from the Master of Games that can be used to summon MoG. But why would anybody want to do that anyway?
NPCs
Loveline Cromwell
- Alias: Love, Lovely (by Elyssa)
- Gender: Female
- Age: 20
- Birthday: The 18 of July
After the events of Hellscraper, FCL liberated seven Princesses of Heart. One of them was Loveline, a nine-year-old girl. Loveline lost both her parents when she was "contracted" for Hellscraper. Or rather, she lost her father since she never knew her mother to begin with. Arthur, being the person that he is, decided to adopt her instead of leaving her in a children's home since he himself was adopted at age five. It took a whole year for him to finally be able to take her home, but they still managed to bond greatly as Arthur visited her every day. He finally adopted Loveline one week after the events of "Phantom's Tomb Raid" and on the day of "A Certain Girl Named Clare". Several months later, Loveline was "kidnapped" by Yancy Derriere which started the events of "TAKEN". Yancy had Arthur kill several henchmen of a certain evil robot scientist guy, Dr. Malefico Von Ironside, who was the person that kept Shinodaborn in a concentration camp. In the end, Arthur discovered that Loveline was never kidnapped and instead was taken to Arthur's house. Several hours and a lot of talking later, it was decided that Yancy would stay with Arthur and Loveline. Oh, and Yancy told Arthur that she's Loveline's biological mother. Dundundun. It didn't take long for Arthur to figure out that this was not true but he didn't mind. After Yancy's death, it took a few days for Loveline to come to terms with this fact, especially considering that Yancy tried killing her (which later turned out not to be an attempt at murder, rather an attempt at making sure that she stays with Arthur forever). However, Loveline got ever it and so did her father. After that, she waited to see if Lily was going to be a good mother, but Arthur figured out how creepy dating someone so much younger then him was and now they will never know.
Loveline went with her family to Arlon's haven, a ski resort owned by Arthur, along with some other people for a vacation that was also secretly an opportunity to do some good, according to Arthur at least. A few months later, during Break the Chain, Love assisted Arthur in taking care of Becky to win her freedom. In October, House of Eternity happened. The Cromwells and some other individuals stormed a house in Mexico to rescue Ariana and Warden whom they believed were kidnapped. Unfortunately, it turned out they weren't kidnapped, Warden was actually hiding Ariana while she matured and attempted to bring in Bringer of Winter. While Arthur's insistence helped save Ariana, the girl's worldview was shattered and she was thrown into depression. Love tried cheering her up in the intervening months, but no progress was made until Welcome Back. There the appearance Elyssa made Ariana perk up almost instantly, due to the crush Ariana had. This threw Love's own hormone-powered emotions into overdrive and revealed her own crush on Ariana. After some brooding, the entire group's friendship solidified and Ariana and Love set up a date.
If you were to ask Arthur to describe Loveline, it would go something like this: Loveline is a wonderful, sweet girl. A saint in a girl's body, really. She is a daughter any father would be proud to have. She's hard-working, she's friendly, she doesn't ask for too much stuff like toys, not that someone could deny this angel anything she asked for anyway. A few years ago, she had beautiful blond hair, though she changed the color of her eyes and hair after Arthur adopted her. Now they are brown. Her outfit is usually a plain shirt with a skirt and stockings. While her outfits don't have a set color, she will always have a red accessory of some sort.
Now, Loveline might look like a frail and defenseless girl, but she is far from that. She actually does have powers, though she pretends that she doesn't to such an extent that even Arty usually completely forgets about them. Her powers allow her to make impeccable illusions of anything she can imagine and she also has an extremely clear and detailed imagination as well as great memory; whether they're the result of her powers or her brain just being wired like that is unknown. Besides the illusions, she can also modify and otherwise manipulate the physical bodies of those around her, though that requires the target either spending a lot of time in her presence or having physical contact. She used these powers to change her hair and eye color on the day Arthur finally took her home.
A strange quirk of Loveline's is that she has a habit of touching everything she sees for the first time. It is a habit she developed to improve her illusions. While her memory helps her make perfect illusions for both sight and hearing with ease, Loveline demands perfect illusions. That means that they have to feel right, too. The only thing she restrains herself from feeling up would new people. However, those she knows quite well and cares about, she does touch, in moderation of course and avoiding any naughty bits (you sickos).
While visiting a flower festival in Japan with Ariana and Warden, Loveline was attacked by slime monsters and giant even plants. Luckily, Kusuri Inoue was there with her magical rabbit and Love, along with Ariana and Haruko, gained a magical gem that lets her transform into Garnet Rainbow, a magical girl with a scythe that is also a sniper rifle. She specializes at long range damage via a ton of colorful energy blasts and she can also teleport.
In Garnet Rainbow form, Loveline's hair is shorter and the ends of her hair become all the colors of the rainbow, starting with red bangs and the other colors mirroring each other around her head until they reach the back of her head that turns violet Her outfit becomes a sort of short gothic lolita dress with red frills. She also has black stockings on and boots with a pattern similar to her dress. A red cape with a hood is attached to her dress. When she enters INSANITY mode, the cape transforms into a pair of rod-like wings with gems attacked all along them and her usually brown eyes start shining and switching between all the colors of the rainbow. Garnet Rainbow's weapon is a large scythe that doubles a sniper rifle.

Hazel Cromwell
- Alias: Haze, Princess
- Gender: Female
- Age: 6, appears 16
- Birthday: The 12th of June
Yancy Derriere was a murderous psychopath with yandere tendencies. When she tried killing Lily Crown, Arthur had to step in and he ended up killing her. As one can imagine, that is not the prettiest way to break up. Now imagine Arthur surprise when, on the day of Yancy's funeral which happened a week after her death, he found out that Yancy had a child. Oh, but not the way you imagine it. One of Yancy's powers let her make a cocoon, or an egg or whatever you want to call it, and out of the egg came a little baby. Jardsam took the baby and, when Arthur tried giving a young Yancy a better life, gave this little Yancy to Arthur instead. With Lily's help and the color of the baby's eyes, she was named Hazel. Over the course of her growth, Hazel didn't see much actual action. She mostly used her black butterflies to assist from a distance by providing information. Her most significant role was in Arlon's Haven.
Little Hazel has the physical attributes of Yancy and when she grows up, she will look the same as Yancy did. She has beautiful hazel eyes (after which she was named) and long black hair. Her outfits are mostly black and tend to be dresses. She grew four times faster then a normal child did and she stopped growing at the age of four and which point she had the looks and the mental capabilities of a 16-year old, although the latter seems to have kept growing.
Hazel, being a replica of Yancy, appears to have all her abilities. She started off by making black butterflies, but as she grew she also learned how to create and mould obsidian much like Arthur's ice. Like Yancy, she calls her obsidian Black ice and she can use to make various weapons or even edged armor for herself.
