Finally, it seemed that the battle was over. Casey immediately stopped her transformation and leaned back against the wall, fixing her hair and outfit to look presentable once more. "That...did not feel right." Casey said, looking at all the dead creatures she helped kill. It seemed like the dog at least got away.
Sid skidded to a stop when the bulb was decapitated, turning over to see Aimi and giving her a thumbs up. "Nice one! Didn't know you could do something that cool." He said, turn saw that people were running up the stairs. He bolted along, Haven right beside and Casey trailing the back. Haven stopped when he saw the state Martha was in.
"Martha? What happened to you?!" He asked, taking a step back. He had never seen his sister like this. Summoning a rectangular shield, he took a step forward. "Can...you hear my voice?" He asked, trying to see what was going on.

Leslie was left breathing heavily after the ordeal, but it was over now. Spakleach and her trident vanished into thin air while she caught her breath.
"We did it! Now we just need to find Martha and the eggs!" She said excitedly, only for Akabane to point out Callie was also gone. "Oh no, did she get taken away too!?"
"She is prone to disappearing, but she always shows up when it's safe," Maya stated. "Maybe she got taken too while I was distracted... "
"Let's go look for her then!" Aimi chimed in, before turning to Sid. "Oh,I have many talents. I could show you some others later, if you're free. "
The crew went up the stairs to look for the missing dolls. All except Maya and Haven. Maya thought that she caught a glimpse of Callie going down the stairs rather than up. She wasn't 100% sure though; Callie had a knack for disappearing out of sight. Luckily, it turned out she was right. And they weren't alone. Maya, Haven and Callie were not facing a dangerous-looking Martha.
"I might not have much information, but I think the bulbous growth on her chest might have something to do with her weirdness." Maya said redundantly.

“Hear it… hate it!” Martha screamed at Haven. She lunged up the stairs, her speed as great as ever. Callie would be able to tell easily that something else controlled her body, her fingers gripping the longsword in an expert manner. Martha had never even held a sword so long as Callie had known her. She swung upwards, trying to cut into Callie’s legs from below. Her eyes, glowing a fierce pink, glanced right over Maya as if she was not there.
The rest of the group had regrouped and chosen a different direction after Eustace found his missing arm. Up and up they went, until to their surprise they emerged on the roof, a space as large as a village square. The stone here was rough, even sharp to the touch in areas, scoured and pitted by centuries of weather. There were stagnant puddles in the low spots and a thick layer of bird dung covering everything else. The last remaining twigs and stones that had formed nests were scattered about. “Well, there’s nothing up here.” Eustace said and turned back to the stairs, only to find his way blocked. A woman stood there, and clearly not a normal one.
She was unearthly, a work of art by a master who was losing his mind. Her blonde curls were just off in shade, an incandescence that was not possible in this world. Her blue eyes should have been beautiful, but they were just a touch too big, too watery, too widely-spaced. Her every feature was like this, like she was a mismatched puzzle of perfect pieces, all covered in a blue evening gown that looked like she had slept in it this whole last week. Even Eustace’s long-dead spine shuddered to look at her and he took an involuntary step back. “What the hell…” He was completely incapable of approaching her, his body repelling every attempt. Before he figured anything out, arrows began pouring down from the wall. They were all poorly-fired, put off by the wind on the roof and so weak that even those that directly hit often bounced off their targets. But whenever they landed in a shadow, they stuck tight and the person hit found themselves pinned in place, capable of running as much as they want but not moving an inch from the spot where they stood.
A voice came from the other end of this vast arena, muffled by distance and wind. The group could see somebody emerging from an exit on the other end of the roof, but they were unclear, hazy. The woman blocking their path sighed. “Keeeeeeen.” She pulled a walkie-talkie from her pocket and spoke into it. “Kenny, darling, you’re too far away. Use your megaphone.” There was a pause before the voice came again, much louder. “Welcome to the ring under the stars, the stars that lay out our destinies! Your destiny, to be broken and cast to the waves below! My destiny, to ascend to the stars and be remember forever as the GREATEST! MOST COMPLETE! WARRIOR OF ALL TIME!” He was close enough now that they could see him clearly. Wavy purple hair fell behind his head in a thick mullet, and denim covered his body. Ripped denim jeans, tough denim jacket, and sunglasses topping it off.
“WHO WANTS TO BE THE FIRST TO SHATTER? TO BREAK UPON MY FISTS? MEET THE STARS! MEET YOUR MAKER! MEET KENNETH GALAXY!” The woman giggled and clapped as he finally came within range, towering over nearly everybody in the group, other than the lizardfolk. He threw the megaphone aside and took an unusual fighting pose. Instead of forming fists, his first two fingers were slightly out so that his contact surface would be the middle knuckles rather than the base knuckles. “You took our eggs! You will be severed and burned!” Khag, who had avoided the arrows, flew forth. She tackled him and they rolled for a distance, Khag ripping and biting until Kenneth threw out his hands. He seemed not to punch so much as tap, three quick strikes on sides of her throat. His other arm thrust her off with a palm strike and he jumped straight to his feet, looking little worse for wear.
Khag stood just as quickly and readied to strike again, but she stumbled. Her flame sac throbbed and something deep within her gurgled. She screamed as it tore open, an explosion that rendered the puddles around her to steam. When it cleared, she had dropped to her knees, throat blown out and smoking. The same as the guardian on the island. “Those ones are so fun.” Kenneth said absentmindedly as he walked up and kicked her over. “Who’s next? I have so many moves I need to practice.”

Martha's attack sliced open Callie's thigh, who screamed in pain, she rolled and examined her wound, which despite not drawing any blood was still just as shocking to her. Her own sister had tried to kill her!
"MARTHA, YOU HAVE TO STOP!"-Callie screamed her lungs out in terror, she limped back to Haven, clearly unwilling to fight.
"...fun?"-Akabane began to tremble as she clenched her fists, she swatted away the arrows barehanded, the projectiles making a metallic sound as they riccocheted against her skin.
"Akabane? you ok?"-Daisuke tried to touch his partner on the shoulder, but Musashi swatted his hand away.
"You think this is a game...very well, I'll play."
"Perfect warrior"-A light engulfed Akabane and her, her transformation increased her size and changed her appearance, Daisuke was dumbfounded as he looked at Akabane
"Wait, Akane?!"
Musashi drew her blade and dashed towards the fighter, throwing precise slashes aimed at his vitals.
"Wicked one, I will teach you the meaning of loss"

Maya and the dolls met Martha in the stairs, but the strange growths appeared to be controlling his sister, the detective saying as much too. Haven’s eyes widened in shock when Martha attacked Calli with a sword, something Martha would never do. Martha was one of the most caring people that Haven knew, especially when it came to her own family.
“Martha, snap out of it! Do you really want to hurt your family?!” Haven yelled out, trying to get Martha to fight harder from the inside. Seeing that he needed to remove those growths, Haven stepped forward and clapped his hands, sending a loud sound wave across the area toward Martha, while a neon purple construct of a hook came around, attempting to pin Martha to the wall with her legs in the air. “Calli, please get back! She’s clearly after you!” Haven warned.

“I think I might have some time after this.” Sid responded to Aimi casually. He liked the way she teased so naturally. The team made their way up the stairs and found the village square. The strange woman blocked their exit path, while a strangely muscular man came walking out to challenge them. Sid perked up when he heard the name.
“Whoa. Kenneth Galaxy? The guy who exploded some dude’s heart in a sparring match, and got kicked from the HWBC?” Sid asked with surprise. Casey walked up and gave him a quizzical look. “Uh, what’s a HWBC?” She asked. Sid shrugged. “Oh, Hidden World Battle Coalition. It’s kind of a UFC for Hidden World dudes.”
Casey nodded her head. “I see...what’s a UFC?” She asked. Sid let out a sigh. “Oh boy.” Was all he could muster. “Professional fighting. This guy was one of the top ranked dudes…” Sid said, scratching the back of his hair. Casey looked at the muscular man exploding the neck of the lizard lady with horror. This jerk didn’t seem to be lying.
Sid stepped forward and cracked his neck. “So...what’s the plan of attack here? What’s his weakness?” Casey asked with trepidation. Sid shrugged his shoulders at Casey’s question. “No clue. Hopefully I can find out here.” With a smirk, Sid gripped his medal and summoned his obsidian armor back onto his body, blasting off after Akabane with incredible speed, attempting to kick Kenneth in the right leg with a roundhouse and use his impact ability to add more force that should hopefully send him flying.
“Is that all you have to say?!” Casey called after him, crossing her arms across her chest and giving a sigh. Turning her eyes to the woman blocking their exit, Casey began to back away, trying to study her for aggression. “So what’s all this? What’s your goal here?” The idol asked the strange woman.

Martha was fast. She was inhuman. She was not acting like she usually was, controlled by the sword she was holding. A sword she received after disappearing, presumably taken by whoever was behind this whole eggnapping. She loves her sisters and her sisters love her, but her feelings were twisted by the sword. These are all... The Truth!
Maya felt her mind clearing up, her mind's eye as sharp as ever. The Truth, her unique ability, increasing her psychic powers the more she knows about her target. and she had a pretty good grasp on Martha and the current situation. Her precognition let her see many seconds in the future now and she could peer into Martha's memories, though that ability was only as useful as Martha's memories were clear and true. Still, it would let her learn more, grow stronger. As for her precognition...
"Callie jump back!" She could use the warning she got to warn her companions and to dodge the super fast Martha herself. She also pulled out her Shock Pistol, her secondary gun and aimed it, waiting for an opportunity to shoot. Martha's physiology was different from a regular human, but she had muscles. Even dead muscles convulsed when exposed to electricity. These are The Truth. "I'll stun her, someone needs to take that sword away from her!" --- Leslie screamed in surprise and terror. The giant beast of a man only tapped the lizard lady and her neck exploded. She'd never seen someone go in such a brutal way. She didn't come here for this. She came to get treasure to her her own money back, she didn't come here to die and watch others die. "No, stop! Just give us back the eggs! You don't even need them, do you?" She yelled out.
Aimi on the other hand could feel her hair bristling even though she wasn't in her fox form. This Kenny man made every part of her instincts scream that he was dangerous. Akabane and Sid weren't so afraid though, they were ready to charge at him and she felt like they might even stand a chance. She brought out all her tails. Their ends lit up with fox flames and she started walking around the arena, leaving floating orbs in her wake. She was setting up the battlefield while they two courageous fighters distracted Mr. Galaxy.

“You are no family to me!” Martha roared, setting her feet against the sound wave. It pushed her down a step before she dug her feet back in. The staircase under her cracked, little bits crumbling from the force exerted. She lunged again, only to be caught by Haven’s hook. She was pulled towards the wall, struggling and thrashing until she had her back against the stone and feet pressed against the hook.
With a mighty kick, she thrust the construct away and cracked stone behind her, flipping her body with supernatural agility to kick off. With a blast of dust and pebbles, she was behind them, swinging wildly until Maya’s gun fired. She reflexively caught the weapon’s payload, but that didn’t stop its electricity from coursing through her body. Her muscles fired off without reason, her legs crumbled, and without so much as a yelp, Martha tumbled off the edge of the narrow staircase.
“Not a game. Simply practice.” Kenneth’s hand shot out when Akabane’s blade flashed outwards. He missed the first time, and a cut opened up across his ribs. He didn’t react, letting his supernaturally strong body prevent lethal injury. His other hand grabbed when her second strike came, and this time he had her. One hand wrapped around the blade of her sword and held it firm. Blood trickled down, but he just gripped it tighter. “Blade-catching practice, for one.” He threw another of his strange tap-punches, a knock to the side of her mouth. If it landed, her jaw would go slack uncontrollably, just in time for his body to shift and throw a devastating uppercut, strong enough to send her flipping head over heels. He was wide open for Sid’s attack, his kick sweeping the fighter’s legs out from under him. Kenneth spun in the air to grab Sid’s leg, and another spin would bounce him off the stoney roof. Kenneth spun another time for momentum and came down with a jab just below Sid’s ribs. If successful, it would drive the air from his lungs and leave him incapable of pulling another in for several minutes. The woman who blocked the stairs smiled, a motion that made her face even more uncanny. “We were hired. What the boss wants doesn’t really matter, just that he has a lot of money. Times are hard when most of your team is… lackluster.” She glanced over the wall to where the arrows had come from.

“You are no family to me!” Martha roared, Haven taking a step back in horror. Martha was the one who valued her family the most out of any of the dolls, there was no way she'd turn her back on them, especially now! Haven was preparing to summon another bind to keep Martha off the ground, but Maya's attack shot electricity through his sister and sent her plummeting into the abyss of the staircase.
"MARTHA!" Haven yelled as he dove down after her. He summoned a heavy neon pink cube directly above himself and planted his feet against it, allowing him to descend faster to catch up to her. When he was finally close enough, Haven would grab her by the arms and lift her up, while throwing the sword she had been holding down into the void below. "Get rid of that cursed thing..." Haven muttered. If successful, he'd turn the giant cube into a surfboard that he'd twist into an upright position, raising them both up to where they were.
---
Much to Sid's surprise, Kenney was able to catch Akabane's sword and attack her back. He was able to sweep Kenny's legs, but soon found himself slammed against the stone roof. Sid gasped as the air was driven from his lungs, but looked up quickly enough to see Kenny was coming down for an elbow jab. Focusing on his legs, Sid created an explosion powerful enough to rocket him away from the elbow drop, skidding back to his feet.
"Whoa, that was close." He said casually. Glancing over at Daisuke, Sid motioned to him. "Hey dude, what's the biggest gun ya got? We are gonna need it." He stated, then taking off back toward Kenneth. Sid appeared to be readying an axe kick, but unleashed an explosion in time to flip over and attempt to deliver a flying knee to his opponent.
Nearby, Casey looked at the woman blocking the exit and frowned. "Lackluster? Him?!" Casey didn't know what to think if that monster of a man was lackluster. What would that make herself? Turning to Leslie, Casey sighed. "Hey...are you ok? If you want to sit this out, nobody is going to blame you. I feel a little out of my depth too." She said, smiling in a manner that she would with any fan at an event. She needed to know if anyone else would help her deal with this woman if she suddenly decided to attack them.
Glancing back at the woman blocking the door, Casey narrowed her eyes. "Out of curiosity...how much is he paying you guys? Perhaps I could offer you a better deal to leave us alone, hmmm?" The idol asked, ready to cut a check to make this problem go away.

Callie was still in shock. she nearly got killed by her own sister. Moreover, she had been completely useless! was Martha alright? she couldn't even move out of fear. The doll limped to a corner, hiding out of everyone's sight as she was used to. Perhaps, that was for the best.
Akabane let go of her blade in order to favor blocking with her arm. still, the punch sent her flying backwards with powerful force. Musashi extended her hand out and Kaneshige flew as a pillar of light back to her.
"Alright, fuck it. Catch this"- Akabane turned her Kaneshige blade into a missile launcher and fired away at the fighter. Like any of her weapons, it was far more powerful than its real counterpart. Kaneshige was a magical weapon that used Ki as ammunition after all, and a missile was one of the most energy taxing shapes it could take.

Maya kept a close eye on Martha, staring at the Martha 3 seconds in the future to make sure she was cleansed now that the sword was separated from her. She was ready to shock her again if she needed to. --- Leslie looked at Casey with uncertainty before nodding. She was starting to feel exhausted, both physically and mentally after everything that happened so far. She ran over to a wall, out of everybody's way, to rest up and get ready in case they needed her... Assuming they could need her...
It took a bit, but Aimi set up her fox fire around the arena. Now it was time to go on the offense! Her flames shone brightly before taking on the forms of all the people Kenny was facing. A Sid charged at him and launched himself into a divekick. Whether it hit or got dodge, he would explode in a great blue fireball. An Aimi rushed forward too, aiming to claw him with scorching claws. Her barrage would continue until she got hit or caught at which point she would explode too.

Martha plummeted, a sensation that felt slow to somebody so very fast. The demon within tried to fix her trajectory to push her back to the stairs, but all that came out was unhinged flailing. Haven caught her from below, a gentle grab that slowed her without breaking her body. She snarled in response, but she didn’t have time to react before Haven knocked the blade from her hands. Her body froze, statue-like, for several seconds as Haven floated back upwards. “Haven? What’s going on?” Martha blinked, the pink light dimming in her eyes. “I found the guy who took them, he… I don’t know where he went. We need to save them!” The armor that had been growing on her body was drying and crumbling away, leaving her coated in a layer of mucus. “Oh, fucking- Callie!?” Martha lost interest in her own issues when she saw her sister was injured. She jumped off the surfboard and ran over. “What happened!? Are you okay!?”
Kenneth’s punched a hole in the stone where it struck, but not in Sid. He huffed and stood, just in time for a black scythe to come swinging down at his face. He caught it just like he had Akabane’s blades. “Another one?” He looked at Eustace like a mildly interesting bug that had landed on his finger. “That is no way to refer to me, cur. I am-” Eustace was interrupted with a flurry of blows to the chest, and Kenneth withdrew to watch him collapse. Instead, his scythe turned to darkness and compacted itself into a shortsword, flashing down to embed itself in Kenneth’s collarbone. “Immortal.” Eustace smiled.
“Cool.” Kenneth backhanded him so hard that skin and muscles tore in his neck and his head dangled at a precarious angle before he was kicked away. Kenneth was still on one foot when the rocket struck him and he went spinning back, landing hard near the wall. He jumped to his feet in time to dodge the false Sid, throwing a lethal elbow counter at the side of his head. His counter was met by an explosion that threw him even further, smashing him into the wall. He saw more coming and made a snap decision. He jumped straight up, landing on the lip of the wall. “Won’t you join me up here? No tricks, merely a man fighting a man.” He called, pointing specifically to Sid. Sid was already coming, however. Kenneth smiled and reached out to catch his foot, but Sid's feint worked. He caught nothing and Sid flipped around behind him, striking his spine and shoving him to the edge of the wall. He nearly fell back onto the roof, but with a turn of his feet, he wheeled on Sid. "In a decade, you might have been a decent challenge. Shame you won't survive the fight." He threw his strange punch at the side of Sid's knee, a strike that would make his leg curl back under his body. If that toppled Sid as he hoped, he would start stomping, crushing Sid through the stone.
"I said most of us, didn't I? Look at me. I'm a succubus, but do I seem attractive? The harder I try the more I repel people. And Max can barely use that bow of his." The woman sneered. "Aw, that's a kind offer, but I can't take it. We have a reputation to uphold. It's hard enough to get jobs as it is." She smiled, a genuine expression. "Don't worry, Kenny will kill you quickly. You couldn't catch up to the boss anyway, he left on his boat already! ...pretend you didn't hear that, okay?"

"Phew, it seems you successfully freed her," Maya commented when Haven and Martha came back up. Unfortunately, she couldn't do much to help Callie. "I have tissues if those can help," she offered a pack of tissues, the most she could offer to either stop bleeding or tears. ----- Leslie watched the fight unfold in the arena. She saw that Aimi wasn't letting Kenneth have his fair duel with Sid. A fight, man to man? Give me a break! If Kenny managed to actually knock Sid down, Aimi would send another exploding clone at him. And regardless of what happened, she would rush in on her own, swiping at the back of Kenneth's knees with sharpened nails. Immobilize him for a deadly takedown.

Finally setting Martha on the ground, Haven also ran up to Callie. “Callie, are you ok?!” He asked with concern in his voice. Martha seemed to be herself again. He then remembered something she had just said.
“Wait, what did you mean? Did you meet the person who is behind all this?” Haven asked, looking at Martha. His eyes turned toward the staircase Martha had come from. Should he fly down there and give chase? Did they have a chance if he did?
—
Despite everyone’s attack, Kenneth still stood, even challenging Sid to a 1v1 on top of the barrier. He was mid-attack however, and managed to land a blow against the former champion. This proved to be not enough though, for he turned and struck the side of Sid’s knee, sending him sprawling across the ground. The armor did manage to absorb most of the impact, but such a strike from a man like Kenneth was still devastating.
However, Aimi’s fire clone exploded, creating some distance between himself and Kenneth. He looked over and flashed a thumbs up at Aimi, followed by a smirk. “Thanks a bunch for that!” He called over. The kickmaster got back on his feet, shaking his legs from the impact.
“Hmmm…tempting offer, but gonna have to decline, bro. Not here for glory or that stuff, just wanna help the lizard dudes out and get some cash. Not a fan of paying white mages to repair my body, ya know?” Sid asked, stretching. He then sprinted at Kenneth, winding up a spin kick right toward Kenneth’s side…but it would come too short on purpose, Sid utilizing the momentum to deliver a right hook directly to the side of Kenneth’s skull.
—
Meanwhile, Casey took interest in the final part of what the succubus said. “I see…well, thank you for your time, miss.” Casey waved as she jogged over. Of course the weird guy with the hoverboard was gone elsewhere. And nobody else seemed to be able to fly. Letting out a sigh, Casey concentrated her mana once more, turning back into her metal form.
“Uuuuugh, I hate thiiiiiiiiiis!” Casey screamed, holding out her right hand and making a bolt of lightning erupt nearby, a strange vehicle shooting directly at her. Within seconds she stood in front of a gaudy motorcycle adorned with spikes along the side, chains along the back, and a massive skull in front. Casey let out another groan as she stepped onto the machine she hated, revving the engine and shooting into the skies.
“Ok, where the HECK are you?!” She roared, flying high up and shooting through the air, trying to spot any boats leaving.

"...You happened, that's what, don't worry, I'll live"-Callie replied still reeling in pain, she wasn't exactly pleased with Martha, but she couldn't blame her either. "Go on without me, I will only slow you both down like this..."-She told them as she leaned on the wall, thinking about her options at this point.
Akabane frowned when she noticed her attack barely slowed him down.she turned to Daisuke and signaled him
"Are you gonna stay there like that forever? we got work to do"-She told the Japanese cowboy
"R-Right, dude seems like a tough customer, let's bring him down together!"
Akabane and Daisuke followed the martial artist, who seemed to hope for a 1v1
"No can do friendo, this aint a sponsored match"
Daisuke whipped out Vanilla Ice and shot a flurry of crystals that aimed to freeze him on the spot, Akabane rushed to flank the martial artist and corner him into the weapon's fire as she swung with her blade low, looking to slice his footing.

“I…” Martha couldn’t process it, but she was beginning to realize what had happened. Because she fell for an obvious trap, she got her siblings hurt. “No, Callie. Nobody is getting left alone. He’s a fox guy, and he’s all tricky. He tried to get into my head, and when I refused to listen, he… stabbed me, I think. Callie, I’m so sorry.” Mind control? A drug? Martha couldn’t remember what had been done to her, but it had led her to try killing her sisters. She felt ill, physically ill. There was pain all through her body. “I don’t know where he is… he’s going to eat them. Their souls! He’s a monster!” Martha stomped her foot and made a snap decision.
“I’m going to fucking find him! Wait here!” She couldn’t bear to face her sisters. She couldn’t bear to let him get away. The pressure threatened to tear her open from the inside or simply crush her up like tinfoil. She needed release. Blindly, she tore through the hallways, back and forth through endless rooms until she found it. She was back at the stairs in mere moments. “I found him! Haven, I need you! Callie, please come… and uh… other person.” She gave Maya a confused thumbs up before leading them to where she had seen him. There was a window, facing out into the ocean. There sailed a ship, an unsuspicious small yacht with purple trim. “It’s gotta be him. Haven, can you get everybody else over? I’m gonna get him!” Martha said before jumping from the window. It was a crazy thing to do, but she wasn’t thinking, even to the extent she usually did. Her feet pushed into the wall, slowing her to a sort of wildly springing jog until she was right over the water. She pushed off, and with a shuffle of her legs, she was sprinting atop the water, catching up to the fleeing fox man.
“Hey, no, you can’t do that!” The succubus yelled at Casey as she left. “Ahhhhh dammit we’ll get a bad review if she catches him!” Feathered wings burst from her back, splotchy brown and white and dripping with slime. She took off after Casey. “Absolutely nooooooot letting you do that!” She screamed. Kenneth was faced with a problem. Everybody in front of him was weak. Not one of them could provide a decent fight. He was going to tear through them within another minute. Even this one he had marked out as interesting was already lying on the ground. He moved to finish off the damaged leg with a side kick, but he put his foot down when an explosive fox came flying at him. He flicked out a punch with his top range to set it off, then guarded against the resulting blast. He could sense her ki through the blast, and when she slashed at his knees, he tightened his muscles, making them more impenetrable than steel. She barely scratched the skin. He decided to tap her third eye chakra with his elbow and rob her of her senses, but Sid was back up. Well, he would do it to Sid instead.
He patiently watched the movement and stepped in, moving an arm to catch and deflect the kick. It took him a moment to realize he had been punched instead. The power of a hook wasn’t in the sheer force it carried, but the surprise, coming from blind spots and odd angles. Kenneth was very surprised. He took a few steps to the side to regain his balance, then decided that Sid was going to be blinded, then thrown off the rooftop. He didn’t get the chance before Akabane and Daisuke threw in their lots. Cold air blew over him, leaving frost on his skin and ice on the ground. He casually hopped over the sword, then landed right on a patch of ice. His feet went out from under him, and he realized he was toppling. “Oop.” He said before plummeting off the side, a dive right for the ocean. “Kenny!” The succubus screamed, turning on a dime to chase him instead of Casey. She had a clear shot for the ship!

Haven didn't have the ability to cut it when Martha blasted off out the window and toward the yacht. The doll let out a sigh, and patted Callie on the back. "Hey, she's back now, ok? She never stopped loving you. Want to finish this with us?" Haven asked, expanding the size of his hoverboard long enough for Maya and Callie to get on, with convenient handholds for those less well balanced. "Need a ride, detective? I seem to be the only airline available right now." The doll joked, tilting down his sunglasses and smirking.
---
On cue, Casey managed to find the yacht leaving the island. Before she could fly toward it though, the succubus screamed and flew up to intercept her. "Oh come ooooooooooooon!" The battle idol roared, taking off toward yacht. She prepared to fire back...but the succubus instead flew to catch her falling friend. "Heck yeah, they did it!" She cheered, turning and flying toward the yacht. Once on board, she could land on the deck and loudly announce. "OK! Would the owner of this boat PLEASE make themselves known?!" She yelled in a death metal voice she found absolutely barbaric.
Meanwhile, Sid saw Kenneth falling off the edge, followed by the strange lady flying after him. He put his hand to his chin and began to think. "Hmmm...you dudes think we should stop her? She could bring him back up here..." Sid asked contemplatively.

Callie didn't even notice Maya's tissues apparently and she seemed down about her sister hurting her. Maya wanted to say something. To help. Make her feel better. But for all her perceptiveness and her desire to solve problems, she didn't have the words in a situation like this. All she could do is leave it well enough alone until the issue resolved itself or she had a flash of brilliance.
"Thank you, Haven, now we just need to get closer," she said, stepping on the enlarged hoverboard. She reloaded her shocker so she was ready when they caught up. They were unfortunately too far for her to try using it on the fox who'd brainwashed Martha just yet. --- What is this guy made of!? With his strength and durability, with how he was impervious to explosions and made Aimi chip a nail, she was sure he was a descendant of a daidarabotchi! Luckily, for all his toughness, their all-out assault was enough to make him slip off toward the water. His companion flew right down to help him and Sid had a good point. If she brought him back, there was no guarantee they could knock him off again.
"Do you have to kill them?" Leslie asked. "You heard what the woman said. I feel bad for them... Can't we just chase them off?"
Aimi thought about it. Aside from Kenny, the mercenary band did sound pretty pathetic. Well, what would be the harm in letting them go? She leaned over the edge with tails burning blue and shouted, "If you just fly away with him, you're free to go, you know! if you try coming back though, I'll fry off your wings and you can both drown!" The blue fox fire danced on her tails to emphasize the point.

"I'm kind of getting tired of others controlling us...that's...the fate of dolls, I suppose"-Callie sulked, but still took Martha's hand and finally reached for that tissue. She was uncomfortable taking things from strangers after all. "I'll come with you, just...stop looking at me like that...You said sorry already"
Right as she got up, Martha was gone. The doll followed her down. Despite her injury, she was still nimble enough to go down by herself, when Martha asked Haven to carry everyone else with his ability, Callie tilted her head towards Haven. "...She can be a quick thinker sometimes, don't you think?"
"Ah, he ran away"-Daisuke said as he saw the guy take the dive.
"It's better this way, although there's not much we can do now"
"Aye, we are pretty much stuck here until they deal with the rest...don't really have any long range weapons myself"
"OH, I do. maybe I can snipe from here"-Akabane transformed back into a child like state and shifter her weapon into a sniper rifle.
"Let's see...what's..that?"
Martha running on water is what it was.
"She's getting ahead of everyone, does she really plan on fighting by herself?!"
"you mean the girl with the big legs? why don't you give her cover from here while the rest arrive?"
"I mean, I could try, but it's pretty far..."

Everything was converging on one point at last. A single boat leaving the scene of battle, with everyone still standing going after it. Eustace limped up to the wall. “I guess we’re gonna let the people who can fly handle this. Unless you have longer range guns than you used on us?” He asked the director. “If I did I would have used them. This seems to be handled regardless. The criminal behind this disaster has left the island; what do I care about the rest? Tell me more about this script idea you had.” The cyborg director waved Eustace over and the ancient hunter gladly left the wall, finding their time better spent on something else. Down below, Casey reached the ship first, slamming down on the deck hard enough to make the boat wobble in the waves. Nobody answered her call, and more strangely, nobody was visible onboard. The back window of the cabin faced her, but nobody stood within, the navigational equipment all left unattended. After a few seconds, her greeting was finally met. A broad hand reached from the ocean and gripped the side of the boat. A moment later, Kenneth Reaper was dragging himself onto the boat. He stood tall, bruised and scratched, but overall barely harmed. In the moment her attention was on him, the original inhabitant of the boat revealed himself. In a puff of smoke, a footlocker lying beneath the window became a handsome white-haired man and he lunged to attack. He sought to rake his claws down her back.
“Mr. Reaper, please prevent the rest of them from reaching this boat while I handle our guest.” Ji-Won Min spoke softly and the mighty fighter immediately obeyed, turning his attention to the water. Martha was nearly caught up with the boat, but she slowed and hesitated when she saw the wall of muscle awaiting her. “Hmmmm. A new style, for this occasion. Wake style!” Kenneth appeared to be looking less at her and more at the wake the boat left behind. He thrust his foot into the water and kicked, blowing out a wave and making the surface of the water tremble beneath her. “Shit!” Martha nearly lost her balance, but kept going, even as he continued his brand new “wake style” attacks. She was losing ground though, and she screamed in frustration as she fell behind.

Haven chuckled to himself when Martha sprinted off toward the sea, looking at Callie and smiling. "She is one of the quickest thinkers I've met. For better...or worse." He let out a few more laughs, and looked at Callie once more. "Well, Haven Airlines is heading to the boat. Would you care to board, dear sister of mine?" He held out his hand. Regardless if Callie accepted or refused, he would fly out toward the sea.
"Looks like this is it, Maya. Are you good at pugilism like a certain other detective?" He joked, the group blasting through the air toward the boat.
---
Letting out a sigh when he saw that Kenneth was now far away from them, Sid scratched the back of his head and turned to Aimi.
"Welp, guess he's not giving up. I'm going to go fly over there and help our pop star out. Need a lift? Or ya kno, rather just chill here. That's cool too." Sid casually asked the kitsune, having no idea of she was fast enough to run across water like Martha.
---
Casey was dreading every moment she witnessed Kenneth appear on the boat, but he seemed to turn his attention elsewhere. But the strange fox man came out with his claws, scratching her back as she leaped away, her face now glaring at the man.
"Oh my freaking GOD, I have had enough of weirdos wanting to fight! Just hand over the eggs!" Casey roared, the riff of a guitar ripping across the air as she stomped to the beat, creating shockwaves that spread across the boat, aiming to throw Ji-Won off balance for her to kick a wave at him directly to attack internally.
