Jun startled when Sarah came to her side, nearly drawing her blade. "Ah!" She stared up at Sarah, helpless to explain herself. These are my parents, I was just thinking about killing them. Yes, that sounds good. She sighed and stood. I really am an idiot. We have things to do, Jun! Get yourself together! There's no time for grudges, not here! "Nothing. I was simply scoping out some of our potential competition. We should... talk to the others who wish to stop this sale." So pale she looked ill, she pushed with Sarah back to the crowded table.
Laura spotted Mai approaching from across the room. She had already been watching the group, recognizing Jun from the spa. "Eirini, get me a read on them." She nudged her cyclops friend. The massive brown orb rolled over at Mai and Sarah. "The white-haired one and the one who just ran off are clean. The red-eyes has a sword in her coat, a couple smoke bombs and throwing knives, aaaaaand a gun." She quickly reported, her dinner-plate eye rolling over to Jun. "And she only has her sword and those strange scales. I wouldn't worry about her." She looked back to her plate to pick at her spaghetti. Laura looked at Mai with interest as she approached. She was certainly good-looking. However, that form-fitting fancy dress couldn't fool Laura. She knew trouble when she saw it. There was something in the cut of her hair, the way her eyes flashed. This wasn't your average rich girl, not like Jun. It was confirmed when Mai spoke. That was the sort of attitude she liked in her mortals! "Ah, snow-haired queen, what a tempting offer." Laura flushed and reached out a hand to take Mai's hand and guide her into the seat next to her. "Laura, we have things to do and we don't even know her. Keep it in your skirt." The short man spoke in gruff, militaristic tones. "Oh, let me have my fun you eunuch. I know her enough. You're with the woman I met earlier, aren't you? Are you her girlfriend, finding somebody superior? Or are you trying to stop us from sending that demon back to Hell?" Laura's companions startled at her revealing their plans so easily, but she waved her hand dismissively.
"They already knew we planned to interfere, and they do to. But what is your plan, hmmm?" Laura put a finger under Mai's chin. "Do you simply want to steal the demon for yourselves, or are you also sending it back? If it's the latter, we can be friends. If it's the former... well, I hope you'll forgive me afterwards." She gave a sunny grin that seemed to literally brighten the room. "Get us more chairs. We'll need them for our new friends and the boss." She snapped at her companions and the got to work expanding the table. Jun sat sharply when she reached the table, quickly crossing one leg over the other.
She looked at Laura with utter disgust and Mai with only a touch more respect. "I hope I'm not interrupting a moment. I would hate to be ruining your fun." Her eyes lingered on Laura's finger, resting as it was on Mai's chin. Laura sighed and leaned away from Mai, giving her full attention to Jun. "You're even less fun when you're dressed." She smirked and winked at Mai, making Jun go red. "You shouldn't be reminding me of that." She hissed through her teeth, just getting a chuckle from Laura. "I'd like to see you try something, heart of glass. We're friends here now if I like what she says." Laura put her arm around Mai's shoulders and cocked her head. "What'll it be? Friends or no?"

By the time Mai sat down, people could already draw small hearts on her pupils, being called a queen was exactly the way she liked being treated, Mai began first listening to all her questions while still gawking at Laura's eyes, she almost melted when Laura's finger touched her chin and she smiled at her, she wished she could keep at that a while longer but her moment was indeed interrupted as Jun began to speak, Laura's remark on her made Mai raise both brows while covering her mouth, she eyed at Jun as if she now had a completely different opinion on her. Mai leaned towards Laura as she put her arm around her shoulders, pure bliss.
"I think we can all get along, my sister and her want to send it back to hell," she said in the sweetest of tones and with the biggest smile, keeping the molasses, she then looked at Jun.
"should they not comply, I will personally break their skulls, is that clear?"
It was at that precise moment that Akane arrived with the rest, and she was not amused by her comment.
"Was that a threat?" she said with a menacing look, the same look that would make yokai flee.
"Are you deaf or was I not clear enough? we are friends now anyway, so calm your tits" Akane just raised a brow, had her sister actually done something useful?
"Is that true?, then, by all means, let us introduce each other, I see you have met my sister Mai, I have met some of your people but I'm afraid we haven't introduced each other, I am Akane Musashi, pleased to meet you"
Akane then looked at Remilia and Sarah, patiently waiting for them to introduce themselves.

Jun's reply clearly showed that she was about to commit some kind of crime, likely the people she was staring at. But it appeared that the drive to kill wasn't enough to overcome Sarah's intimidation factor, or perhaps her own fear of consequences? Regardless, Sarah walked with the group back to the table, rolling her eyes when she saw Mai so close to Laura. She considered her options when Laura asked them to introduce themselves. Her informants told her that Laura had the ability to detect lies, so calling herself Marie would be immediately known as a lie. But only a slight change of wording would be necessary.
"Nice to meet you. You can call me Marie." Sarah stated. But stating what they could call her and not saying her name was Marie, it doesn't become a lie. "My mission is the same as yours. If I may ask...why do you wish to do this? I am part of a Hidden World authority, so my reasoning is clear. But why would you go through the trouble?" Sarah asked. She needed a reason why these people were going to release this demon before even beginning to trust them.

Remilia was gone for ten minutes at most and her comrades seemed to have already gotten up to no good. Jun was distracted by violent thoughts, Mai was almost doing another girl right in the dining hall, Sarah didn't seem to like the situation and Akane... Seemed to be doing fine, actually. More importantly, they managed to gather more people for the plot. Except they didn't seem to be plotting much.
"I am Remilia Arling. I do not mind working with you. I assume you have a plan. My allies were supposed to be making one instead of making new acquaintances, so I hope you have one," Remilia said, her voice lacking any frustration she was actually feeling. Considering how many times she's had to introduce herself by now, she really needs to make a vigilante alias for herself. Maybe she should ask Ash for help...
"Oh, Mai, that was an excellent gift. Although you made a mistake in rabbit and storm worm, where they would have been rendered inoperable after being used once. however, being able to write three programs in minutes without my abilities, or even with them, is impressive enough for that to be ignored. And it gave me an idea to improve my own codes. So thank you."

"Welcome to the party, Akane, Marie, Remilia." Laura leaned across the table to shake with each of them in turn. "This is Andrew and Hanif." Laura pointed at the hard-faced dwarf and the Arabic man in turn. "Our boss will be coming back in a minute, but, ah, Jun, you'll have to leave. I'll have somebody tell you the plan later. I'm afraid he'd kill you if he realized you had a demon in you." Laura shooed her with a hand. Jun stared in shock, not quite comprehending how she was being treated. "You... insolent-" "Can it. The boss is an angel. He'd tell in an instant and you'd have an arrow through each of your eyesockets faster than my grandpappy throws lightning." Laura shooed her again until Jun stood sharply, knocking over her chair.
"Fine. Remilia, this is my number. Text me the plans. I will find something else to do until the auction begins." Jun scribbled numbers on a napkin and handed it to Remilia before wandering off into the space left open for dancing. "And with that sorry face out of here, I can say it's simple. Demons are beings of chaos, and my employers don't like chaos. Anybody willing to buy this demon will use it to make trouble, besides maybe Mad Maeve. She probably just wants a playmate." Laura had just spotted the fairy queen dancing with her entourage over the dance floor. They were risk number one in pulling this off.
"The plan's simple. A demon this tough requires a special vase big enough that it'll take two guys to carry. When they bring it out, I shoot one. This gets all eyes on me. The boss is a Cupid. While everybody's looking at me, he starts shooting and they fall in love with the first person they see; me. He fires off a few discord arrows to create chaos among whoever didn't fall for me, and we take it while everybody guarding it is distracted or helplessly infatuated with me. Sound good?" Laura had just finished explaining when the boss returned. One would think he had gold and silver beads in his hair unless they looked closer and saw that it was his hair, woven into tight gold and silver cornrows that ended in long rows falling down his back. His suit was also gold, to the extent it looked like and may have even been woven gold used as fabric. His eyes, just as much like precious metals as the rest of him, lit up when he saw Laura and Mai sitting together.
"Laura, darling! You found love even without my help! Oh, truly you are talented." He rubbed both their heads like they were adorable puppies, drawing an angry red blush to Laura's cheeks. "Yeah, sure, love. These are some allies of mine, Mr. Abital. They'll be helping us stop the sale. And unlike me, you don't need to pay them." She clenched a fork tight in her hand. "Ah, yes! Oh, how delightful they are! Hanif, this one looks like your type!" Abital poked Remila's forehead. "My type is djinni, sir." Hanif rolled his eyes, drinking from his half-molten glass.
"Oh well. Where is the demon girl?" The angel changed his tone entirely, from his airy delight to a boiling snarl right in Laura's ear. "I dunno. Probably went back to her room to feel sorry for herself and cry into a pillow." Laura shrugged, glancing into the dance hall to see that much to her surprised Jun had a partner. Abital followed her eye and Laura quickly stood up. "I will tell you later, but right now we need to do our job, okay?" She spoke in tones one would use on an impatient child, guiding him into a chair. "And besides, did I tell you how great I'm doing with Mai here!?" She kissed the woman beside her, instantly drawing Abital's attention back away from his ancient enemy.

Mai looked at Remilia as she thanked her for the gift, she slightly smirked when she mentioned her "mistake".
"I don't make mistakes, Remila san, had you been unable to change the code, then that would have been the first and final help you would have gotten from me, once again it is me the one who's impressed, contact me later after the event if you'd like to work on something with me, a HW tech expo is coming in a couple of months and i need an extra hand, maybe we can present something together."
unbeknownst to Remilia, she had just aced a job interview, Mai was more of a hardware girl, and she needed someone that helped her with programming, coding for the quantum computer fully by hand was something Mai would never do again as she found the task to be extremely tedious, still, she had to recognize only someone gifted could come up with something like that.
The little chat was then stopped as Laura began to introduce everyone, Mai wasn't really interested and Akane was indifferent, that was until she mentioned her boss was an angel, the way Laura proceeded to send Jun away amused both of the Musashi to no end, with Mai outright laughing on her face and Akane barely showing the hint of a smirk.
As Laura explained the plan Akane couldn't help but think just how chaotic it was in nature, they had to fight against two different groups or more, and depending on how well those shots worked and on who they were made things could go very good or very bad, Akane gave her some advice
"It would be better if the initial target for those shots is the head of the Akiyama or someone high up the ladder, we need to disable the main opposition as swiftly as possible"
It was at that moment when the angel arrived, Akane examined him from head to toe as he greeted Laura and Mai, rather than the eye-catching features of the angel, what caught Akane's attention the most was the fact that she couldn't get a rough idea of his strength level, her thoughts were then stopped the moment Laura began to kiss her sister, making Akane look in disgust at the display.
Mai, in turn, was surprised by the sudden kiss which made her blush on her cheeks, Mai reached out to gently stroke the onyx black hair of the demi-goddess with one hand while grabbing her by the hip with the other, she slightly bit on Laura's lip as she finally let go.
Mai wasn't sure if she was the greatest technopath in Japan, but she was damn sure she was the greatest kisser.

The more Sarah hung around this group, the more she was feeling like teaming up was a bad idea. Mai was being played like a complete fool right now, Jun was having a hissy fit on the dance floor, Akane wasn't much help, and Remilia was talking about some code that probably didn't pertain to their mission. And the group they decided to partner up with is going to do the exact opposite of a stealth operation.
"Nice to meet you as well. As for the plan, I am aware of some who need to be struck." Sarah opened up her phone and showed a picture of the Akiyamas sitting at their table, with Bo Xu next to them. "The man standing up is likely some sort of bodyguard. If the auction is disrupted, he will for sure come running. So tell your friend to incapacitate him and anyone around the Akiyamas who looks strong." Sarah directed. The other guests likely wouldn't want to stick around when arrows started flying, so the only threats would likely be Akiyama's own bodyguards. Charming random guests who would have cleared out anyway would be a waste of resources.
She looked away from Laura and Mai making out with each other, annoyed how useless these two seemed to be. Mai in particular, since Laura held all the cards here. And judging from the sheer willingness to leap into Laura's clutches, Mai would likely be the last person Sarah should share any secrets with, since Mai would probably blabber her own credit card details if Laura asked.

Remilia didn't really believe Mai's claim that her mistake was intentional. She didn't seem the type to admit mistakes, so of course she's say something like that. But the invitation to join her HW expo definitely seemed genuine.
"I am not sure I am the best pick for that job. My online friends are much better programmers than I am. I am not sure if they are part of the hidden world though."
Laura interrupted the chat and Jun was sent away after giving Remilia the instructions to message her the plans. Remilia did just that, typing it down while Laura spoke. She made sure to warn her to be careful of stray arrows in case the angel didn't realize she was working with them and she sent the message.
When this group's boss appeared, a cupid apparently named Abital, Remilia tilted her head in curiosity. His hair was perplexing, but Remilia had to admit it looked good. Did all angels have such curious features like him? She rubbed the spot where he poked her forehead. It didn't hurt, but she wondered if an angel's touch did anything to normal humans like her or if it left angel dust behind or something like that. Probably not since she didn't feel much different. The hidden world could really be fascinating and boring at the same time.
"We have heard your plan, Mr. Abital. it seems acceptable. The auction should start soon, so we should get into position, " she said, ignoring Mai and Laura making out.

Laura felt her heart quicken at Mai's actions. She quickly pushed her away and shook her head. "Not right now. I'm no exhibitionist." She put a finger to Mai's lips. "Do that again later though." She whispered before turning to Sarah. "There's a reason we're targeting the men bearing the vase. When the fighting starts, it's likely they'll try to move it to a safe location. We can't let them do that, so we have to target it. Besides, we don't know what most of the Akiyamas are capable of. I don't want to waste a shot on one that doesn't get hurt." She raised an eyebrow at what Mai and Remilia were saying about code. What were they talking about? It didn't seem like something she should be privy to, so she ignored it, looking out at the stage. "Yes, it should be soon. You may go where you wish, but I could make a suggestion. The auction will be held on that stage. I can't wait to be rid of the demons." Abital pointed to the stage where the rakshasa played.
"Well let's get ourselves a spot nearby!" Laura grabbed Mai's hand and drug her to the dance floor. When they brought out the chairs, they'd have a nice visible spot by the stage. Of course, there was a fringe benefit. "So, do you dance?" She locked her fingers with Mai. Before she could discern the tune and figure out how to dance to it, she spotted something that split her lips to have her jaw hang loose. Jun was dancing with a shaved Chinese man in sunglasses, a much larger Chinese man in a white suit watching, apparently some sort of bodyguard. She didn't dance well, nor was he especially attractive, but she was still dancing. "You had better be better than her." Laura began to aggressively move, trying to outdance everybody on the floor. If Mai couldn't keep up, she was going to have a hard time as Laura tried to spin, throw, and catch her constantly. Back at the table, Abital looked to those remaining. "Ah, look at them go! Such romance! Go, join them!" He put Sarah and Akane's hands together, then Hanif and Remila's and with some hesitation, Andrew and Eirini, shoving his hastily created pairs out towards the floor. "Ah, with such limited choices, I am not sure about Hanif and Remilia, and Andrew does poorly in any pairing, but oh well. Akane and Marie at least are flawless! I cannot preoccupy myself with this, as delightful as it is. I must find my position!" Abital flitted away. "Come on, we'll blend in better at the very least." Hanif shrugged and lead Remilia to an open space on the dance floor and let go of her hand. "Just stay close. I dance better alone." He began to move like no human could, spinning his head freely as he took great leaps. Laura glared from across the room. "Showoff. It doesn't even match the music." She grumbled as she attempted to spin Mai faster than before. Andrew watched the display and sighed. There was a noise like a spring the size of a table going off and his entire body reshaped. His limbs, torso, and legs all stretched out in an instant, turning him from muscular dwarf to a lanky man as tall as Sarah, if not a few inches taller. His head was still the same blocky box, making a disconcerting image. "I move better in this form." He moved with a mechanical grace, leaving the cyclops to rummage through the dancers, pretending to seek a partner.

"Do I know how to dance? fucking watch me" Mai said as the music started
"Hah please, it is not Jun the one you should be worried about", she said as she pointed at her sister
Akane took Sarah by the hand as they moved towards the dance floor, she gave a look at her sister followed by a determined smile, knowing it was on. she then spoke to Sarah
"Ready to embarrass the hell out of my sister? quick feet, quicker reactions, it doesn't matter if you cant dance, just follow my lead, the better you do it, the better we blend in"
Mai began to use the aggressive force of Laura on the floor to her advantage, every time she made a spin throw and catch, Mai responded with an energetic Lindy hop style, dancing around the demi-goddess as she posed everytime her partner gave her the chance, Mai turned her back on Laura while still holding her hands as she kept performing advanced swing footwork further speeding up Laura's tempo.
Akane responded at the challenge with her own set of moves, taking advantage of her being the lead, Akane centered on a Jack and Jill style doing incredibly beautiful and precise moves, her curves toned her hip and leg movements with grace, she made Sarah spin with elegance, if Sarah couldn't dance before, she would now feel competition material. swing transitions, breaks, follow-ups...all the technical ability was on display along with the beautiful smile of the Musashi.

The strange man dressed in a garish gold colors looked to be focused on Laura, he evidently being the one who is going to start the chaos when the auction starts. She brushed her hair back with her right hand, lightly tapping her ear to try getting information from him as well. Sarah frowned when her hand was given to Akane and was pulled onto the dance floor. Surprisingly, Sarah gliding through the motions like she was on ice. "I happen to know how to dance, Akane. Just try to keep up and your sister will be sulking by the end."
She took the opportunity to take control for a second, spinning Akane and gracefully giving control back. She was already adept at footwork due to her stealth training, and she had repeatedly gone to formal gatherings with Alex to impress investors and foreign diplomats. Truthfully, she didn't care much about 'embarrassing' Mai, she just wanted to kill time until the auction started and they could extract this demon. "By the way...can we trust her to stick to the plan?" Sarah asked Akane, looking at both Mai and Laura in her peripheral vision. With how easy Mai was giving into Laura's charm, it could become an issue if she starting saying things that should be kept secret.

After the plan was laid out, Abital paired up everyone without a partner already and sent them away to the dance floor. Remilia's partner was the man with the turban. He led her to a place where he had room to dance and let go of her. This left Remilia in an awkward position.
Truth be told, Remilia was never much of a dancer. She went out with her friends to some clubs on rare occasions and they danced, but it was always more of a flailing motion obscured by strobe lights and crowds of other poorly dancing people. The entire ambiance here was off. It was well lit, they had a mostly clear view of the tables so presumably the reverse was also true, and the music itself wasn't the typical club tune that let you do whatever you wanted. The fact that she didn't really have a partner to lead her through the dance didn't help her at all. And the person who was supposed to be her partner didn't seem to dance much better, not that he seemed to care.
Remilia looked around, not sure what to do. She couldn't give in to the music like Hanif. Everyone else seemed to be enjoying themselves. Even Jun was off dancing with some guys. Not wanting to interrupt anyone, Remilia just awkwardly stood there. Surely the auction could not be too far away now, she thought...

Laura's heart beat faster in the joy of the dance, letting Mai spin and leap at arm's length. Irritation was still drilling its way into the back of her skull. It wasn't just seeing Jun dance, although her competitive edge certainly was driving her nuts. She was better than her by far. It shouldn't bother her. She watched Mai, taking in her grace. It was just frustrating her more now. As the song died down and slowed, she pulled Mai close, staring her in the eyes. "What's your game with me? You know we won't have a room here after angering the Akiyama clan, don't you? We'll have to flee at least out of the hotel, probably off the island. Did you plan on luring me back to your castle? Why?" Her grip got tighter like she worried Mai would flee. What use was the power to detect lies when you still couldn't trust people?
Remila could see the others in brief glimpses through the crowd. In one, she caught Jun looking her way. In the next, the man she had been dancing with looked confused and Jun was nowhere to be seen. A few seconds later, she stepped out of the crowd and reach Remilia. She stopped and moved her mouth wordlessly for a second, like she was sounding out things to say before hardening her face and straightening up. "I couldn't stand your pathetic expression, so I decided to keep you company." She was trying and failing to keep her usual haughty tone.
"If you don't know how to dance, I'll have to teach you a few steps. Come on, I'll lead." She took Remilia's hands. She was nowhere near the mastery of Mai and Akane, but she landed each step with practiced precision, even as her limbs moved with the rigidity of iron bars. "You might be the only reliable person here, besides myself. I'm sure you understand why I hold this position." Jun gave the brooding Laura a pointed look through the crowd.

Akane looked at Mai as she danced with Laura, she really wasn't worried about her sister on this case.
"Did you see my sister back in the hotel room? she wasn't paying attention at all, she didn't even bother to check your ID, she cannot spill what she doesn't know"
Mai looked at Laura somewhat confused by the questions but she managed to understand what she meant, Mai felt as Laura gripped her harder than before, but rather than trying to break out of it she hugged her as she softly talked to her ear.
"hey...I am not going anywhere, I like you and that's that. no games."
she then looked at her eyes, her hands now holding hers
"I didn't expect the plan to be that chaotic, I even wanted to skip the stupid auction...But I'll tell you what, when this is over we don't have to go to my place if you don't feel OK about it, we can go wherever you want instead, or is it that you just don't like me? Remilia blinked and Jun wasn't with her partner anymore. Instead she was in front of Remilia, offering to teach her how to dance.
"Alright. Thank you," Remilia said. Jun took her hands and Remilia tried to follow her steps. Even if her movements were awkward, she managed to keep up with Jun mostly because of her fighter's physique and reflexes.
"You might be the only reliable person here, besides myself. I'm sure you understand why I hold this position," Jun said, sending Laura a pointed look.
"Because our allies cannot focus on the goal?" Remilia asked, following Jun's gaze. In that moment of distraction, she stepped on Jun's foot.
"Sorry," Remilia said, turning her eyes downward in part out of shame, but also because she wanted to avoid repeating the mistake.

Akane's response didn't quell Sarah's concerns much. While it was true that Mai seemed to be the most unobservant one of the group...but that didn't mean there weren't other secrets Mai could reveal that could jeopardize the operation. Why was such an incompetent person on this mission, anyway? Did the famed Musashi fall this far over the generations? "I suppose that is correct. So what is your goal here? What do you gain from this?" Sarah asked. She was here because her employers gave her the assignment. Did they belong to some sort of organization as well?
Continuing her master footwork, Sarah glanced over to see Jun leave her partner and join up with Remilia. A small smirk briefly appeared on her face, Jun's body language showing that the split either wasn't clean, or she was still thinking about whatever was going on in the hallway.

Laura saw no lies and she relaxed somewhat. "I like you plenty. You're charming, and fun. And you have no idea how often my partners can't dance." She spun Mai again and caught her to hold her close. "I have an apartment in Greece. Gorgeous view, lovely decor, and a very comfortable bed. The best covers provided by divine weavers. I'll have the entire week to myself after this mission, and it would be lovely to not have to go out to find dates." She gave Mai a last peck on the cheek before grabbing a chair. The music was ending and the rakshasa was packing up his gear. "It's time, get ready."
Jun ignored Remilia stepping on her foot. The hacker was light enough she barely noticed. "It's not just that. I don't trust them not to screw this up with their personal issues. You remember how capricious Akane was." She deigned to look at the Musashi heir. The music was ending and she needed a seat. "Just stay aware. There's going to be chaos, and I'm sure Crown and the Musashis will do their best to make more of it." She watched her enemies within the group until he appeared. Akiyama Hachiro walked out on stage, flanked by guards and followed by his family, last in line two massive men bearing the vase containing the demon. Jun recognized them as minotaurs by their size and bulging muscles.
"Ladies and Gentlemen." Hachiro addressed the room. "I appreciate you all coming. What we have is well worth the wait. Encased in this vase is Valefar, the demon thief! The master of Valefar may steal anything they put their mind to. Money, of course, but much more than that. Valefar can rob the abstract, the unseen. He can rob people of their vision, or snatch thoughts right from their heads." The crowd was stirring with excitement. The possibilities truly were infinite. "Do you know this Valifar?" Jun asked her internal companion. "Oh yes, indeed. He frequently stole my artwork. Do you know how difficult it is to find things of beauty in Hell? He made it even harder to keep it! "Great. And a human having him would be...?" "Catastrophic. Even assuming he does not overwhelm their minds, he would grant them horrifying power."
Up on stage, Hachiro stopped speaking to let the crowd stew for a moment, building up their own excitement. "I told you not to bring that cat on stage." He glared down at his sole daughter. "I tried to make her go away, but she keeps following me!" Kasumi protested, nudging the pink cat at her heels with a shoe. The cat just purred and rubbed her. "It must belong to somebody here." She shrugged. "Very well, just get rid of her after the demon is sold." Hachiro turned and walked back out to the center of the stage. "Bidding starts at 50 million! Begin!" Before the first bid could even be called, there was a loud twang and one of the massive minotaurs stumbled back with an arrow in his neck.
All eyes went to the woman carrying a bow, made of some exotic bronze metal. Before anybody even looked, she had notched and loosed another arrow right at Akiyama Hachiro. He caught it in a move that was almost casual, snapping it with a tightening of his hand. Arrows with a length more befitting spears began raining into the crowd. "Shit! The boss is fast!" Laura ducked into the quickly panicking crowd for cover. "Kill the ones responsable, but do not harm anybody else." Hachiro commanded and held out a hand. An assistant came running from offstage, holding a sword with a sheathe in black and gold. He grabbed it and glared into the crowd, waiting for the first person foolish enough to jump onto the stage and make their move. The cat left Kasumi's side and casually padded its way behind the vase.
Jun stood and scales began growing on her body. She waved a hand and several flew off as sharp little disks. One few right by Laura, drawing a glare. They didn't even reach Hachiro. A wind blew from him as his ki field erupted into being and sent them scattering away. It took the image of a flickering white skull, warping and shifting with his movements. The whole stage sagged under its power. "Li. I should have expected your cowardly family would be behind this." His eyes caught the elder Lis in the audience. The stared in shock at their daughter, standing tall and enscaled. "They are not my family, Akiyama! I alone stand before you, and I alone shall claim your head!" Jun's declaration was interrupted when Laura shot another arrow for Akiyama's face and it was caught as easily as the last.
"You don't seem alone to me. Although soon you will be." He nodded and the injured minotaur jumped into the crowd, shoving through with ease on its path to Laura. "Shit, I need cover. That fucker..." Laura held her face. Her last arrow had snapped the string when she fired, striking her when it broke. Jen hadn't just been buzzing her with that scale for laughs. She had cut Laura's bowstring. Laura dropped her bow and it vanished to wherever she had pulled it from. "I need time to change." She told Mai, holding out her arms. A golden glow began to envelop them, but it spread slowly.

Akane looked at Sarah somewhat weirded out by the question, it would seem she was not too familiar with the way the Musashi operated.
"We are hired to slay monsters Marie, Usually someone pays us a hefty sum and we do the job, for demons though? we do those for free. you might have noticed my sister is not very good at keeping secrets, but there is a reason she is number 3 among the 2500 members of the clan."
Mai was marveled at the idea, she happily nodded as they took a seat, apparently, the auction was finally about to begin, when Mai heard the opening bid of 50 million her eyes got wide opened, the same thing with Akane, both looked at each other.
"Hey, that's not too bad! maybe we should just bu-" their idea was immediately stopped after the first arrow flew, Akane facepalmed, realizing there was an easier option other than fighting against the Akiyama
"Too late sister, fucking own it," Mai said while Jun confronted the Akiyama.
Both sisters initiated their virtual machines, Akane immediately equipped her gunmetal battle armor, both of her blades were teleported to her side, Akane then looked at Remilia
"We will get the Minotaurs, you guys try to secure the vase"
Mai nodded when she heard both Akane and Laura, the one coming towards them was hers then.
Mai equipped her battle armor, large silver plates covered her as two massive gauntlets were materialized on her hands, Mai was immediately put on one knee due to the sheer weight of the gauntlets and the armor, she struggled for a while trying to even lift them, but it was of no use, she could probably lift them a bit, but they were useless for combat, Mai let go of the Gauntlets as they slightly cracked the floor, Akane looked at her sister without making any facial expressions.
"Maybe I was wrong about what I said to Marie...I think you might actually be retarded."
"Shut up!!, you don't fucking know how these work!" Mai replied with her face fully red. "Whatever...I don't even need them right now," She said as she kicked the gauntlets, still unable to move them an inch, Mai held one hand up in the air as she proclaimed: " YATA NO KAGAMI, COME FORTH!"
A bright light shone in the middle of the hall, a mirror with 3 meters of circumference hovered in the sky. It was the first time Akane actually managed to see the sacred treasure of the Shinto kami with her own eyes, Akane wondered how would she use it. legends said it weighed one ton and was able to reflect any attack. Mai did a hand gesture and the mirror quickly hovered to her side, she then did another wild gesture
"Get fucked!!" Mai roared as she sent the mirror flying towards the minotaur
"Don't use the sacred treasure as a frisbee GOD DAMMIT!!!"
Akane slammed her Wakizashi towards the ground out of frustration and then ran towards the second Minotaur, still wondering how the hell her sister was two ranks above her.
"Calm yourself, your sister might be an idiot, but you can still save the family name", Akane thought to herself as she readied the throwing needles hidden under her gauntlet, she released two with pinpoint accuracy aimed at the eyes of the creature. if those two connected, she could release her Kaneshige blade from its sheath. Akane was counting on the projectiles, she was confident the creature wouldnt be able to react, as minotaurs were more brawn than brains.

Remilia had to agree with Jun's assessment. Both Musashis seemed very unpredictable. Today as well as that time in the bar. She didn't necessarily agree with her about how the Musashi will cause more chaos, or at least she didn't think they would cause more chaos than they needed for the operation. Before she could voice any of her opinions though, the host arrived with a sizable escort. The plan was initiated almost instantly and it was working, for the most part. The part that wasn't working was the problem.
The bodyguards reacted almost instantly. The two burly creatures went into the crowd. The normal looking ones seemed ready to cut down anyone who got close to the vase. And Akiyama himself seemed completely unfazed both by the arrows and by Jun challenging him. It was a good thing this wasn't an assassination mission. Except in Jun's mind.
As soon as the commotion started, the Musashi duo took charge. Jun's assessment was completely wrong! Or partially wrong at least. Akane told the quantum hacker they'd deal with the minotaurs and the rest should go after the vase. Remilia nodded and ran for the stage. She weighed her options. She couldn't throw grenades around or innocent people would die and she might accidentally destroy the vase. A shotgu,n as well as spraying and praying with a submachine gun, had the same problem. Her pistol was the most accurate, meaning it would be easier not to mess up. Although with it's comparative lack of power or firing rate, it might not pose much of a threat to the guards here. Especially if they're anything like the men from the bar.
Thinking it's better than nothing, she created a pistol and pointed it at the guards. "Step away from the vase. We are requisitioning the demon. Attempts to prevent us will be met with lethal force."

"I see." Sarah said plainly to Akane's explanation. “Well, looks like the auction is starting. Keep your sister in line, and we should be golden.” Sarah stated. Sounds like Mai was another dumb warrior who could only serve as a beatstick on a mission, and likely needs a small team of support to make her do anything more complex than hitting things. Her thought process was soon interrupted when the Akiyama patriarch stepped onto the stage. Sarah folded her arms across her chest and stared directly at the massive urn, feigning interest in the price.
When Laura’s arrow shot the first minotaur, Sarah narrowed her eyes and watched as Jun challenged Hachiro while the Musashi sisters attacked the minotaurs. She rolled her eyes slightly at Remilia’s passive gesture of pointing a gun at the guards, looking directly at the urn and taking a single step forward...the stealth force captain instantly disappearing and reappearing several feet behind Hachiro, next to the urn. She twists her body and aimed to deliver a sharp roundhouse kick directly for the side of Ichigo’s head, who was the closest to the urn, attempting to send him flying across the room. In one fluid motion, Sarah reached into her jacket pocket and pulled out 4 throwing knives tipped with paralysis poison and tosses them directly at Kichiro and Kasumi, aiming for their upper bodies. They wouldn’t penetrate deep into the skin, but the paralysis poison at the tips would subdue them within minutes.
