Arata needed the money. Having a Hecatoncheires tear apart your island was just bad for business. So when the hotel was rented out nearly entirely by shady but wealthy parties, who was anybody to argue? The little resort town needed the cash flow. Now activity finally picked up again, stores on the verge of closing filled once more with strangers. The spa was filled with men with more tattooed skin than bare. Oil sheiks mingled with pale royalty in the restaurant. Massive men stood protectively by smaller charges. In the rented out conference room, a barrel-chested middle-aged man directed two workers holding a giant black vase. “Right there.” They set it in the center of the table, making it creak just slightly under its weight.
“Excellent, excellent. I will be having dinner with my family. Do not let this vace move.” A room full of twisted figures, all shapes, sizes and colors, responded. “Hai!” They salted in unison. The old man nodded and left for the dining room. A one-man band rakshasa provided music a whole array of instruments with his many arms and heads in the corner, setting a tone for the fabulous meals being served in the half the room dedicated to food. Rare and dangerous meals, specially brought in just for this occasion, flooded the tables. Kraken tentacles boiled in the ink of the monster itself crowded plates with slices of man-eating clam and fruit of plants that bloomed once every century.
By the bar, serving thousand-year-old mandrake root whiskey and Fairy Tear malts, two identical twins threw darts. It was a boring game, with every throw landing perfectly. The cause of this perfection was clear; their bald heads were halfway covered in metal plating, one eye glowing dim red in a deep metal socket. A far stranger cyborg sat watching with two yellow eyes of glass, body entirely covered in a white suit except for the cylindrical glass tube containing a brain that stuck up from the neck hole. On the other side of the room, pool tables and gambling equipment dominated the floor.
For the fifth time in a row, a dark man in a Hejazi turban pulled in chips from all over the table. “Leave.” Grumbled a cyclops in a dark red dress, fixing a suspicious eye on the lucky Arab. “What? For the crime of being too lucky? Surely you must be joking!” He grinned in all friendliness before a stab of the cyclops’ finger nearly knocked him over. “Cash out and leave before I figure out how you did that, you puny punk.” The cyclops turned back to her game, leaving the turbaned man grinning into thin air. “All right, all right, no need to be so rude. I’m sure you’ll let me back when you realize you’re being silly.” He scooped his accumulated chips into his pockets. When he was out of eyeshot, he looked at the ace in his fingers and smiled. It disintegrated into particles that absorbed into his skin. He didn’t need the money, but he was bored. He needed something to do. Maybe the pool?
The pool, alongside the spa, flanked the conference room on the other side of a long hallway. It was bordering on a small waterpark, with a massive cluster of increasingly tall and fast slides crowding one end of the pool and the other sporting a brightly mushroom-shaped structure dropping a curtain of water into the pool. A group of slender, pointy-eared young men and women in slight green swimwear laughed and cheered as they took the slides. The smallest among them came flying from the highest slide, giggling madly as she hovered back out of the water. She cleared bushy green hair out of her eyes and shot back up to the top on insectile wings.
“Stop staring, Xu. Those western fairy bitches are like praying mantises or something.” A bald Chinese man admonished his bodyguard. The big man looked down, an annoyed eyebrow raising behind his dark sunglasses. “She’s Mad Maeve, a literal fairy princess. I was simply interested… worried about her power. After all, there’s a lot of competition in the auction.” He rubbed his grey beard as he kept observing the fairies.
In the spa next door, the first person who didn’t belong waited for her chance. What better place to wait than a comfortable bed while a chi expert expertly manipulated her chakras? She needed to make up for the time that awful succubus ruined her relaxation. “Hey.” She cracked an eyelid to see whoever was talking to her. It turned out to be an obnoxiously gorgeous woman lying on the bed next to her. Her black hair was just the right amount of mussed in its loose scrunchie, offset by olive skin and eyes so bright a gold you would be forgiven for looking away to spare your eyes.
“You here to bid too?” She had that relaxed, flirtatious look that Jun wished she’d get from men instead of women. “Of course. Sorry you won’t be getting it.” She hoped the conversation would end there, but the woman just raised an eyebrow and got a smirk more annoying than her looks. “Instead of doing the stupid shit you’re planning, how about you stay here and enjoy your massage?” The other woman was drawing looks from the masseuses, but with the powers at work here they weren’t willing to intervene. “I’m sorry, I should introduce myself. I’m Laura Crown, demigod. You literally can’t lie to me. So what's actually going on here?” She sat up to extend a hand. Jun didn’t take it. Couldn’t she just enjoy herself and not be assaulted by weirdness?

The Musashi sisters were never the kind to go out together, their relationship has never been good, and both being top members of the family meant they could do their missions solo, but the Daimyo thought it was about time the two set out their differences aside and work together, a duo mission, to put it clearly.
"I don't know why father had me share a room with you, your attitude is fucking boring all the time, I'd much rather be with Ann or that sexy dude you brought back at home"
"Careful with Katsuo, that blade is gonna kill you in your sleep one day, besides, you already have a girlfriend right?" Akane replied as she combed her hair, she took a glance at her sister from the mirror
"If I do it with men it's not cheating, and what's with that piece of junk sword anyways?! getting all worked up just because I tried to steal a kiss from his man" Mai replied as she finished changing her clothes
"what exactly do you think you are doing?, we are supposed to meet with Remilia soon," she said as she saw her sister sporting a white and black bikini, it was overly striking with Mai's measures.
"..." Mai escaped from the room as fast as she could
"I'm telling father!!! are you listening!!!?" she shouted down the hall as Mai left for the pool
"Goddammit, it's always me!" Akane said while violently brushing the rest of her hair
AT THE POOL
*I couldn't care less about stupid intel sis, call me when we have to kick some ass*
she told Akane via comms and cut the line before Akane could reply as she ran towards the biggest water slide she could find, she ran past everyone, going to the top.
"Lets go!" she backflipped onto the slide, sliding down while still standing on her feet. Before she realized, she was racing against a fairy on the waterslide next to her, as the slide was about to end she dived for the pool
*Well well, isn't this interesting? I've never seen fairies before* Mai got closer to the little one, doing small talk
" I think I beat you back there... I'm Mai, what's your name?"
AT THE CASINO
Akane arrived at the casino, she expected Remilia to be somewhere around, as this was the shadiest area of the complex.
she was wearing a fancy dress in white that showed one of her legs and most of her back, a gold necklace adorned her neck and she also had small gold earrings on each side, with heels she was almost 190cm tall, so she would be easy to spot for the most part
Akane headed for the bar, she ordered a glass of water as she looked around the place
*Filth, scum* she told herself, anyone who wanted to buy a demon was clearly into bad stuff, everywhere she turned, a cheater could be seen, some would use traditional sleight of the hand, others would even go as far as using their powers to win, it was a rat fest.
"Hopefully I'll meet with Remilia soon," she told herself as she waited for her to arrive. truth be told, she would have also preferred going to the pool with her sister.

Akane probably would have done well to go with her sister. For Remilia was currently on one of the less populated edges of the pool, lying on surface of the water in her black one-piece with white highlights. Her hair was strewn about and the water covered her ears which helped her tune out the racket made be people enjoying themselves. While this wasn't exactly what she imagined when she heard there was a pool, it was good enough for her to relax before the actual auction started.
Well, it was, right until someone cannonballed next to her. Her peace ruined, she just told the person to be more careful with where they jump and swam away. This is how she ran into Mai, whom she recognized from the car after the event in the bar.
"You're here. I was not expecting you already. Is your sister nearby?"

Walking silently through the door to the dining room, a woman with long black hair scanned her eyes across the room filled with wealthy people. She had on a professional black business suit with a dark green tie, which matched her light green eyes. She stood tall among the people present, walking across the room and scanning the visitors as she went by. Several of them looked familiar; targets that had arrest warrants issued for various crimes. But they weren't the reason why she was here. Her name was Sarah Albane, captain of the stealth force at the Hidden World Intelligence and Containment organization(HWIC). She was on a mission to gather intelligence on this demon auction and establish who are in connection with this event. The sheer amount of excess displayed made Sarah internally disgusted, though her outward appearance only displayed a content smile.
After placing her order at the bar, Sarah turned her attention to the strangest thing in the room; two cyborgs playing darts and seemingly hitting the target every time. Could it be possible that they have a tracking mechanism inside their eyes, allowing them to pinpoint their shots with higher accuracy? She turned to the bartender and motioned toward the cyborgs. "So, what's their deal? An exposed brain is pretty unusual." She asks, trying to convey her message in a casual manner. She asked this for two reasons; to see if the bartender knew anything, and to ask her informant on the other end of the communicator she had deep inside her ear. Revealing she had an earpiece would undoubtedly make her more suspicious to the people around her, the last thing a trained assassin wanted to happen.

The bartender was human-looking besides his skin, tomato red and more wrinkled than a bunched up rug, to the point that his skin hung partially over his eyes. "I don't know the two with him, but the brain guy's Jacques Chevalier. Some big French director. Not a fan myself. I felt my brain dribbling out of my skull when I watched Brain in a Box. I think it was autobiographical." Across special contacts over Sarah's eyes, information quickly scrolled.

The yellow eyes that glowed at the base of Jacques' dome seemed fixed on Sarah, although it was hard to tell with their glassy lenses. He leaned back in his seat and gestured to the twins. The nodded in unison and one approached her. "Monsieur Chevalier invites you to sit with him." The cyborg spoke with a completely flat tone. His human eye could be mistaken for glass with its lack of focus and emotion. The nearly imperceptible remains of a British accent remained, and he utterly mangled the French words he spoke.
Akane wasn't far from Sarah, but somebody else was already approaching by the time the cyborgs were taking interest. "You look like you're waiting for somebody. Do you mind if I keep you company until they arrive?" The gambler in the turban stopped before the stool right next to her. "Is this seat taken?" He asked, setting his fingers ever-so-lightly on it. She just looked so upset that she was here. Surely there was something interesting behind that. "One Vesuvius and whatever the lady wants. And that's a bottle of Vesuvius, not a glass." He tossed one of his won chips to the bartender. The bartender shrugged and pocketed it. He wasn't allowed to take these, but it was worth so much more than the actual order he figured nobody would complain. He placed a bottle of wine on the counter, label marked with an erupting volcano, people in boats out to see looking on in horror. "If you're a human, I recommend you don't share this with me." He winked, thumb on the cork. Maeve looked at the odd human who stood on the slide. She spat water before hovering up out of the water again. "Name is Maeve." Her tiny frame, not even five feet in height, belied a surprisingly deep and husky voice. Up close, her face also showed she wasn't as young as she looked, with the very beginnings of crow's feet marking an otherwise ageless face. It wasn't enough to pin any particular age on her, but this was no child. "I was faster." She grinned broadly, showing pointy little teeth, and far too many of them for a human at that. She stopped smiling abruptly when Mai looked away. "Do not divert your attention when speaking to Maeve, or Maeve will punish." She rapped her knuckles lightly on Mai's scalp.
Laura sighed when Jun refused to take her hand. She pursed her lips and seemed to be thinking for a second before finally responding. "Alright, since you don't want to talk it out, I'll just give you this warning." She jumped off her bed and casually yanked Jun off her own by the arm. The masseuses scattered when Jun punched Laura in the face. Pain shot through her knuckles down to her elbow. What was this woman made of!? It felt like punching a bronze statue! Laura barely seemed phased by the strike, slamming an elbow into Jun's stomach to drive the air out of her lungs.
"I could kill you right here and nobody would or could stop me. I'm just going to give you a taste of that so you don't do anything stupid." She spoke right in Jun's ear and drug her over to the spa pool. Jun struggled uselessly, feet not finding a grip on the tile and her kicks and elbows barely eliciting a twitch from her captor. Laura grabbed her hair and shoved her face underwater, holding her easily as she thrashed and scratched. suddenly, her entire body went rainbow and glassy. "Hm? What's-" Laura's words were interrupted when glassy scales extended into spikes in all directions, like an angered blowfish. Three spikes pierced into her torso and she released Jun to fall on the floor, gasping wildly as water from the perforated tub poured over her.
Laura took a few steps back, feeling her chest. Golden blood drained from her wounds. Shallow as they were, they stung. She looked down at Jun, already beginning to stand, ready to stab again. The attack hadn't killed her, but it wasn't for lack of trying. Laura still could and would win. She knew she was too strong for this woman. But she'd not do it entirely unscathed. Jun would get free hits in every time she got close to strike her. "Heh. Okay then, let's consider that an understanding. Damn, I was going to hit the pool, but not with these holes in me." Laura pressed a towel to her injures as she walked back for the locker room.
Jun watched her leave, still gasping air as best she could. Her rainbow scales faded, leaving her pale and sickly. "Are you alright, Miss Li?" One of the bolder masseuses peeked into the room. Jun grabbed her towel and covered up before waving them in. "Yeah. I apologize about the mess." She looked at the tub she had ruined. Her porcupine attack had saved her, but this was one of two reasons she didn't normally use her powers that way. The other was that she was normally wearing clothes. Who knew, there's an advantage to fighting naked. She ruefully thought, going beet red as she stewed. Next time they met, Jun would have her sword, and Laura would see just how many holes that could put in her.

Akane saw as the man in the turban was getting close to her, she rolled her eyes as he got a seat
"Yes, indeed, I'm waiting for a friend, I'm afraid I won't be here for long, In the meantime, I'll have another cold glass of Kona Nigari"
There wasn't much Akane could do to make him go away that did not involve slicing him in half, rich guys were never her type, deep down Akane always wanted to be with a man (or woman) stronger than her, but things looked bleak for her with her ridiculous strength. That woman by the bar though, she was strong for sure, if only she could fight her...
"so, I assume you are here for the auction? what item is it that you are after?" she asked in a decent enough tone without looking at the man
Back in the Pool Mai found Remilia, she was about to burst into laughter from the fact that even the expressionless Remilia was enjoying herself at the pool, Mai couldn't help herself but think all the more just how boring her sister was. a sudden attack on her scalp got her attention back
"Ouch! I was still paying attention! Maef or something like that right?! I get it!" she said while trying not to laugh, the mispronunciation was too obvious.
*jeez, that's some deep voice for someone so small*
she then looked at Remilia
"It's good to see you, she is waiting for us probably at the casino, let's get going before my sister and her juggs get even madder," she said while doing an obscene big boobs gesture
"I'm sorry, I'm afraid we must be going, I asume I will be seeing you later tonight?" she said to Maeve with a smile as she got out of the pool in a single jump
outside of the pool, she began to ask a couple of questions to Remilia
"so, my sister had an interest in you ever since that day at the bar, what are your powers anyway? you don't seem all too...equipped" she said while looking at her body. -Pun intended, but if she was as bland as her sister, she wouldn't notice.-
Mai swapped her swimsuit for an all-black dress with a snap of her fingers, she got dry as well on that process, the dress was fashioned in the same way as her sister's, had they been together, they would look like Ying and Yang with the difference in hair color.

A French movie director, huh? Judging from the information scrolling across her contacts, the mad had 'died' in 1955, and now seemingly lives as a cyborg. Who could have introduced him to the Hidden World? Her eyes narrowed slightly when the two came to inform her that the director wanted her to sit with him. Investigating a mere cybernetic movie director didn't seem like a valuable use of her time...but she had to make sure he wasn't suspicious of her. "How nice of him! I'll be right over." She says with an enthusiastic tone. It was important to keep the air of an aloof business person while at this party, since seeming too serious might draw attention to herself. Standing up, Sarah takes her glass and approaches the director's table.
"Quite rude, sending your friends to invite me to your table. A personal invite is pleasant, no?" She states, looking at the strange brain casing. How much did the glass serve as a motion dampener for that brain? Surely one well-placed strike would send that brain smashing into the glass behind. Giving a small professional smile, Sarah extended her hand toward him. "Marie Robinson, pleasure to make your acquaintance." She states. Her hands were covered with a pair of black gloves that matched her suit. How this man responded would dictate if she would deal with him as a threat...or perhaps another unwitting informant.

Remilia followed Mai to the changing rooms and put on her own clothes. She wore a black dress reaching just under the knees with sleeves rolled up to the elbow. The chest was white and frilled, like some dress shirts, and she had a black bow choker around her neck. While she was changing, Mai asked her a question.
"I have all I need in here. I can make anything I want with it." Remilia patted her purse and didn't say anything more in case someone was listening in on them. She got the feeling Mai wasn't just talking about weapons, but she ignored the subtext. While her curves weren't impressive, her physical fitness and muscle tone were. "Anyway, you can lead the way."

The director's shook Sarah's offered hand. Under thin white gloves, she could feel a metal hand, every joint clearly delineated under the cloth. "Jacques Chevalier, as you no doubt know. I saw how you looked at me." His voice was even more robotic than his lackey, an entirely synthetic crackle like somebody speaking over a walkie-talkie. "I seek an actress for my next project, and you certainly look like a crowd pleaser! So striking, you have "star" written all over you! Those eyes especially, red is so rare in an Asian!" He eerily crooned, leaning forward to look closer. "I only need to buy one prop today and we can begin. I've been handing out cards for auditions all night, but you are by far the brightest option I have seen. It's time for my big comeback! They will have to invent whole new categories in the Oscars for me." He was looking at Sarah like she was that golden statue more than a living human being. The turbaned man raised an eyebrow as he poured his drink into a tall glass. "What, are they offering more than one option? I suppose they might if they catch the host of the Shattered One." Glass smoking, he turned to look at the other side of the room. Jun was entering, now clad in an ocean blue dress, rose in her hair to match the red rose patterns all over her clothing. She was already looking self-concious as she realized she was the only person wearing clothing with such obvious patterns in the room. "Hm. The Shattered One is interesting too I suppose." He gulped his drink out of his melting glass and chuckled, spitting smoke. "Dear Allah that's a hit! It's so rare I can find this drink. It's a bit volatile for most shelves." He corked the bottle, preventing it from boiling over at the top. "Maeve!" The fairy growled, face beginning to turn the same color as her hair. Other fairies quickly rushed over to get between her and the humans, speaking something in soothing tones until she seemed to calm down and flew back up to the top of the slide. "Told you fairies are nuts. Hey, you're the expert, who are the two who got her steamed up?" The relaxed man on the chair mumbled to his bodyguard. "I don't recognize the younger one. The other one's Mai Musashi. That might be a problem." He kept a careful eye on her under the safety of his sunglasses.
"Why's that a problem? She high on that list of yours?" The boss lowered his own sunglasses to take a look at the pale-haired woman. "If I was worried about that I'd have told you to pack it up when Maeve showed up. She's a problem because the Musashis aren't going to be here to buy. They're here so nobody else can buy." He finished. The bald man glared. "Get her alone and kill her. Her too, Bo!" He pointed at Remilia. Bo Xu just looked and sighed, combing back his long white hair with fingers that looked like they were hewn from rough stone by a less-than skilled sculptor. "That... might be difficult." He followed Remilia and Mai out of the room with his eyes. "Difficult? I know it's not in the job description, but you said you'd kill if necessary, and this is necessary." "No, it's not a moral issue. Just..." The large man started walking after them. "I don't tend to get women alone very easily." He adjusted his hair and folded his glasses into his front pocket.

"That I understand perfectly", she replied to the man as she drank from the water goblet. had she known that night Jun was the shattered one her head would have been at display in her trophy room by now, what a coincidence it would be to see her now enter the room, her being here would surely spell trouble, although that much was expected anyway.
Akane immediately stood up from the stool, she turned around one last time to say goodbye to the man as she formally bowed.
"I'm afraid Its time for me to go, thanks for the drink". Akane fixed her hair with both hands as she walked away and headed towards Jun, she had no ill will towards the shattered one, though she knew she could never befriend a demon. Akane got closer as she spoke to Jun
"Long time no see, you must be here for your friends I assume?" she said while doing a slight head gesture pointing towards the Yakuza.
Mai raised an eyebrow as Remilia patted her purse, it would seem she didn't want to tell much about her ability and Mai was not a fan of that, though it was clear she relied on whatever that bag had.
*make anything you want? the fuck does that even mean? fuck it, I will take a peek, if it is of use to me it will be worth the headache*
"Anything huh? no wonder my sister wanted you on the team" she said as she stared at the purse, Mai got a small nosebleed which she immediately covered. needless to say, she was using the virtual machine, the data on the quantum computer's code flowed ad nauseam.
*this bitch...she is a lot smarter than she looks!*
Mai was actually impressed, and that was a first, for she had never known someone that good with computers besides her.
*A fucking Nokia of all things...*
Mai finally stopped spacing out after a minute and decided to leave the room with Remilia, it wouldn't take long before they came across Akane and the shattered one.

"I think she wants me more because I am familiar with the problem, than because... Are you okay?" she asked. While she didn't notice the nosebleed, Remilia noticed Mai acting a bit weird. "I have some medicine in my purse if you need it. You should not be sick during the auction." Remilia was careful not the say why she shouldn't be sick during the auction.
Remilia followed Mai to the Casino. The place was crowded, but after some looking around, she noticed Akane. And she was talking to another familiar face.
"It seems she is talking to Jun. She was in the bar with us. Should we interrupt them?"

The sudden onslaught of attention made Sarah squint slightly at the director, then shake her head once. "Sorry, but I'm not actually an actress, as flattering as the offer is. I'm also a busy person, you see." She stated, Sarah had no idea who this man was, so there was no drive to be in his movie even if the idea of acting interested her. The strange interest he took to her red eyes was also a bit weird. "I am sure there are many qualified actresses who would love to be part of your movie, mr. Chevalier." She says, standing up to leave. Sarah kept an eye on the two henchmen nearby, having a small suspicion that this director wouldn't take kindly to being told 'no'.
---
In the casino...
Sitting at one of the card tables, a man wearing a dark blue suit held his cards in his lap, watching his opponents decide on their next moves. A tall red-headed woman wearing a sparkling purple dress stood behind him, her black-gloved hand resting on his right shoulder. The man adjusted his red tie and rested his left hand upon the table. “Are we about ready, gentlemen? Show the cards.” One by one, everyone showed their hands. A pair of 2s, a pair of 7s, and a straight. The man let out a small chuckle and revealed his hand.
“Full house. Thanks for playing.” He states, the woman behind him wrapping her arms around his head. “You did it again, darling! I knew you could do it!” She cooed at her boyfriend. He turned his back and gave her a hug, the two staying in that position for several seconds before breaking it off. “Now, I must be off. It’s been a pleasure.” He states, his accent being from southern England. He gathered up the chips and left the table of angry poker players, his girlfriend at his side. “Three wins and two losses...you really should make this a little less predictable, Sebastian.” The woman states, giving a small smile. He makes a dismissive gesture toward the table. “Trust me Carrigan, they had absolutely no idea. Or do you doubt me…?” He looked at her with a fake concerned expression, which earned him a small punch to the arm. “Of course not! I just worry about your well being, that’s all. Wouldn’t want people coming after you and have a repeat of the Chicago incident, do we?” She asks, motioning her hand toward her forehead like a knife. Sebastian lets out a small laugh and pulls her in closer. “And even if that happens, I know you can protect me. Right?” He asks. She rolls her eyes and kisses him for an abnormally long amount of time. “...of course, darling!” She says when they break it off, smiling down at him.

"Oh, you misunderstand me. I did not think you were already an actress. I have seen every movie that came out since my birth and I would have recognized you. I have directing techniques beyond that of any other director. I can get a brilliant performance out of anyone. I could make that dreadful Keanu Reeves worthy of Shakespeare." He waved at the twins and they stepped aside, leaving her path open. "But if you do not wish to be involved, oh well. There is nothing I can do about that. I will find another actress." There was disappointment in his voice as he drew back in his seat. "Leaving already? Oh well, have fun." The strange man poured into his half-melted glass again as Akane stood. She seems like a nice girl, he thought as he sipped the flaming alcohol. I hope I don't have to kill her. Jun startled when Akane spoke to her. After Laura, she was already in a bad mood, and Akane had that same annoying natural beauty. It didn't help that she just plain couldn't read her. She was too chaotic, too unstable. "I don't hold grudges like that." She curtly grumbled, finding the Akiyamas at their table.
She recognized the old man, and the mossy-haired sick man was there as well, seated next to a young woman who appeared to be in her late teens. On her other side was an older woman who must be the mother of the family. Seated next to the father was another young man, looking roughly Jun's own age. He looked like your average straightlaced Japanese salaryman, clean black suit, close-cut black hair. Besides him and a man with glasses and dark blue hair who sat next to him, also about 30 to Jun's eye, they were all wearing traditional clothing. It didn't look very comfortable to Jun, but they all seemed very used to it.
"Of course, if the opportunity comes, I shall extinguish his evil influence from the earth, but my priority is sending that demon back to Hell." Jun glared at the back of the chairman's head and looked for a seat. It would be impossible to get a proper duel here. If Kichiro was anything to go by, all the Akiyamas had powers. "I assume you're doing the same. I won't get in your way if you don't get in mine." She watched with curiosity as somebody approached the table. He was tall and wide, a veritable mountain of muscle under his white suit. His long white hair fell in strands down his back and his beard was pointed like a dagger. Who was this? Another relative? "Can I go to the pool when I'm done, sir?" Kasumi asked her father, carefully cutting a thin slice of ink-boiled kraken. "No. I won't have my daughter with wet hair at the auction." "What about the spa?" "So you can flirt with naked girls?" "I told you that was a dare! ...sir." Kasumi ruefully looked at her inky plate. "What's that all about? I don't believe I ever heard that story." Tachibana Haruto, the man with blue hair, interrupted. There was an awkward silence at the table, Kasumi growing redder and redder until the big man in white came to the table. "Akiyama... sama. I have something to tell you." He spoke the Japanese words in a terrible Cantonese accent.
"We speak English. Use that." The head of the family gruffly commanded. "Um, of course." The big man coughed. "There's Musashis here. I fear they mean to interrupt the auction, and I-" "Do you take me for a fool?" "What? Why-" "You must, if you don't think I would know. Of course the Musashis are here, and no doubt so is that pest Li, and probably somebody from the JHWAB. But they're not going to be able to do a thing. Leave us. I'm enjoying dinner with my family." He waved Xu off and the bodyguard took a few confused step back, throwing a bewildered look back at Mai and Remilia. Did this solve his problem or not? He wasn't quite sure.

"It would seem you won't be a problem today, I'll save you the bloody nose this time so let's stay out of each other's way," Akane said to Jun as she turned around only to find Mai and Remilia, Akane signaled them both to move to a less populated area, she wanted to discuss the details about the operation and doing it there would be reckless.
as they walked towards an emptier location Akane began the talk on a discrete enough tone.
"It's good to see you Remilia, we might have a problem, this place is filled with criminals, I don't think we might be able to tackle this head on-". before she could go on her sister interrupted her
"Speak for yourself, I could wipe the floor with all of them in less than a minute, I killed 10 Ushi-oni with my bare hands on the last mission" Akane chuckled as she knew the feat was next to impossible, even for her.
"hah, like hell you did, only Tenjin or father would be able to do something like that. Even if it were the case, these guys aren't just some stupid mindless monsters,we don't even know their abilities, we need some sort of pla-" Mai walked away back into the casino, she began typing into thin air as she usually did when coding, whatever her virtual machine was displaying seemed a lot more interesting to her than some talk about strategy.
"That's the reason you are just rank #5 sister, you are a fucking amateur" Mai proclaimed as she walked away, she also gave Akane the finger without looking back.
Akane closed her eyes for a moment and exhaled so as not to lose her temperament.
"Forgive my sister, she is extraofficial on this mission, if you have any ideas as to how to deal with the item or the criminals I'm all ears, in the meantime, I suggest we locate the demon first, are you equipped already? things are bound to get chaotic in there."

Remilia was a bit confused by Akane's first statement. Or rather, by the fact that Akane seemed surprised by the situation. "Most of the people here are criminals, yes. So much was to be expected considering the nature of the event. But some, I assume, are good people." Remila glanced over at Jun.
Remilia let the sisters exchange their bragging and their insults, or at least what Remilia thought where insults since some of their terminology was completely foreign to her. When they were done and Mai left, Akane suggested they look for the demon.
"I am ready for whatever comes next. But we should probably discuss sensitive matters somewhere more private." She was probably being too paranoid, but Remilia really didn't want their plans to be found out. As for what they ought to do, Remilia did have a few thoughts. For one, she was certain not many people here really had an interest in the demon which meant not many would get involved in a confrontation regarding it. Those that would should be as likely to turn on the organizers of the event for what they should perceive as a betrayal of trust, although that was dependent on the true culprits remaining unknown.
How they would remain unknown was a more complex matter. Remilia thought they could somehow distract everyone while they performed the deed, but then the question of how to distract everyone arose. Her second idea was even more complex and it involved framing someone else for the crime. After all, most of the people here were criminals. How to perform either of those deeds still remained a mystery unfortunately, but it was a mystery Remilia hoped would be resolved when they scouted out their target.

The director's acceptance of her refusal to act was pleasant for Sarah, who probably didn't need to resort to more forceful means to get him to stop pursuing her. "Thank you once again, but I do decline your offer. Best of luck with your film, mr. Chevalier." And with that, Sarah made her way through the gap created by the other cyborgs and began to make her way toward the dining room. The Akiyamas were the ones organizing this event, so it stood to reason that they would be in a centralized location, near the vase presumably. On the way to the dining room, Sarah saw a small group of women arguing with each other, placing her hand on her chin like she was thinking and tapping the side of her face to signal a report be run on these loud guests. She passed by them without a word.
Seeing how everyone seemed to be distracted by the strange white-haired man, Sarah decided to make her move. Walking around the table, she took a plate and began to fill it up with food. The menu on display was a little too flamboyant for her tastes, but she had to endure. When she grabbed a role covered in what she thought was a thin film of gold, it slipped out of her hands and clattered to the floor. Sarah reached down and picked it back up, allowing the table cloth to mask her hand that flicked an audio/video transmitter directly under the table where the Akiyamas were sitting. She casually put the role back onto her plate and turned to walk away from the scene, grabbing a nearby glass of what she thought was wine.

“So… oh, whatever, if you have it handled.” Bo Xu turned just as Sarah passed the table, giving her a passing glance. “Oh yeah, the HWIC is also here.” He casually remarked as he walked away. He got a smirk out of watching everybody at the table look a different direction, only seeing the back of Sarah’s head as she left. He considered looping back around and confronting her. He had always wanted to fight Aria Miyata, but Sarah Albane had her own reputation, and he was probably a hell of a lot more likely to win that fight. He knew his limits. But no, he had a charge to keep alive. And he’d better keep an eye on that Maeve, she was trouble. A very, very close eye.
Sarah’s bug kicked in just in time for her to hear “Oh yeah, the HWIC is also here.”, just as her information came rolling in.

“Bloody nose? You talk like a playground tyrant.” Jun crossed her arms over her chest and stood at an angle, sizing Akane up. She still wasn’t sure about what she thought of Akane, but her opinion was swiftly going south. “Wait, where are you going? You’re going to stop the auction, right? I’m helping.” She followed Akane as she met up with Mai and Remilia. “Remilia’s right, you need a private place to plan. I rented a room, and there’s nowhere more private than that.” She glared at Mai's back as she left. Unlike Akane, she was easy to form an opinion on.

"That's not what I meant Remilia, of course, I expected bad guys, what I didn't expect was to find more than a dozen, this place is overly crowded."Akane then heard Jun's offer, her joining the team was a good addition, and the idea of using her room was also great, so she would go with that. "I think I'll accept your offer Jun," Akane said with a smile "let's get out of here and make use of our time, you are coming with us as well" she said to her sister as she dragged her by the arm, Mai did not resist, as she was still typing on thin air, somehow sweating bullets.
Akane gave one final look at the girl from before, Sarah was moving around too much, and she noticed. With the current situation, who knows if she was friend or foe? one thing for sure, she wanted to get out of her sight.
Right after Jun's information was displayed on Sarah's contacts, Akane's and Mai's profiles were also uploaded:

Sarah's stride was unbroken when she left the dining room, reading the information being fed to her. A small frown appeared on her forehead when she heard someone over the transmitter say that 'the HWIC was here'. How could someone recognize her here? The stealth force was one of the most secretive parts of the HWIC, the Intelligence network helping to scrub any mention of them on most Hidden World websites and databases. She debated if she should somehow lure that man into a quiet place and knock him out...but he was probably ready for that. When Jun's information showed on her contacts, she saw the connection to the Akiyamas. History with the Akiyamas...huH? Perhaps I might need to incapacitate her as well. She thought to herself. The Musashi seemed straightforward enough...seemingly just guests. The prestigious surname did give Sarah some pause for thought, though. Why would these two be here of all places?
Now having gotten the bug at the Akiyama's table, Sarah decided to investigate who this Jun Li was, and what was her connection to the Akiyamas. Keeping herself blended in with the crowd, Sarah sat down on a nearby couch and began eating the extravagant food on her plate, occasionally glancing around the room to make sure Jun was still around. It would be advantageous to see who she associates with, especially if they work for the Akiyamas.

"More people means a larger crowd to blend into." Remilia answered Akane's worries before Jun chimed in. While they talked, Remilia didn't really pay attention to the insignificant well-dressed woman watching them. She of course had no way of knowing the woman was studying up on them. In comparison with Jun and the Musashi sisters, Remilia was relatively uninteresting for now, perhaps enough for her to be overlooked. --- Remilia ArlingStudent of Inazuma Minor reality warping Powers facilitated through manually constructed object No criminal record --- "That is an excellent idea." Remilia agreed with Akane. "We are more likely to succeed as a group. I just hope the rooms here are not bugged. You can lead the way, miss Li." The vigilante stepped back to let Jun pass and take them to their improvised base of operations.
