Stephan is a reasonably muscular man, more so when in the Nucleus. His face and body are strange looking to some, very long and angular, with tiny violet eyes. His chin is long and squared, his nose equally blocky. His skin is tanned all over his body and his hair dark brown, falling to the back of his neck. As for his body, he has especially broad shoulders but comparatively spindly legs. Neatly combed brown hair falls over these eyes. His voice is of average pitch, but a touch louder than most, granting him presence in any room. He tends to dress in a grey suit with a purple tie, striped dark and light.
The Nucleus changes shape, but has some features that usually stay the same. It's usually a slimy green and black, with the green tending towards the top of the body and the black towards the bottom and his forearms. Two long, bright orange tentacles extend from his lower chest, framing his torso and extending around behind to end in knife-like points. Similarly, two blades equally like knives sprout from the back of his wrists, and long, dagger like spurs from his heels. His face is entirely covered, with no outward signs of a mouth or nose. His eyes are covered by much larger, more sensitive ones that tie into his own, resembling those of an insect. These tend to be a bright red, although it can change via adaptation. His helmet is topped by two spiny horns, although he can have more, or make them smooth and blade like.

Stephan Walters is a veteran hero. He's been training since before his tenth birthday under his father, who worked in the same position like his father before him. He took full charge of the family job when his father was killed protecting a small town from a powerful being when he was 16. From his father, he inherited the Nucleus, a symbiotic being that bonds with and protects its host, granting them some impressive abilities.
He didn't deal well with his father's death at first, becoming a bit too extreme in his methods as well as drinking and partying to take his mind off the loss. This spanned years, getting worse over time, and he was on the verge of getting fired from the HWIC when his mother and future wife confronted him, asking if this was what his father would have wanted. Ashamed, he refocused his efforts on his work, becoming the man we know today.
Personality:
Stephan has an unshakable sense of justice, his defining trait. He desires nothing more than to bring down lawbreakers, although he's significantly less strict than his boss, Alex Miyata. He's also a bit stuck in his ways, refusing to break the rules in any way. This makes his relationship with the BHA complicated. He largely dislikes their members, opinions ranging from them being good-natured but undisciplined to destructive forces who are no better than the criminals they hunt.
He is friendly and professional with those who are not his enemies, and compassionate even with those who are. Stephan deeply loves his family. He spends most of his free time with his wife Miranda and adopted son Allan, and is training Allan to be his successor. He is even on friendly terms with Penny, the mother of his illegitimate children, and tries to be supportive of them, although neither has much interest in this.

Adaptive suit- The Nucleus can regenerate from attack and adapt to prevent further injury. This is its greatest power.
Natural weapons- Within the suit, Stephan grows venomous claws on his wrists and spurs on his heels. His fighting style revolves around striking his foes with them and leaving them be paralyzed.
Mind of its own- The suit enhances the reflexes and sense of its wearer when fuzed with them. This is effective even when the suit isn't manifest. In addition, it has its own instincts and can sense incoming attacks, taking control of the body to avoid them. It can also control the tentacles on the suit by itself.
Twister- Stephan's flexibility is impressive due to how much the bendable material of the suit is integrated into his joints and spine, as well as his extensive training.
Outside of the suit, Stephan has trained in martial arts for most of his life, and has permanently enhanced reflexes from binding with it.
Relationships:
Stephan is happily married. While not an active participant in his career, his wife Miranda is the most important person in his life. He also loves his adopted son Allan, who also serves as his sidekick in the HWIC. He has a confused and awkward relationship with his illegitimate children Malcolm and Marie Barber. Malcolm is just uncomfortable with him while Marie dislikes him and wishes he would leave them alone.

At the end, there is a sort of bulb and stinger, but this is usually covered by a metal cap shaped like a thimble.

Allan was first found at three in an HW orphanage in India. He stood out as an anomaly even to the children there and was bullied harshly. Both feeling sorry for the child and interested in his strangeness, Stephen brought him back to the HWIC. After a quick examination, Stephen was allowed to adopt him. Alan took to the family business swiftly, starting light training within months of joining the family. He was allowed to join the HWIC enforcement in a reduced capacity at ten, and is now working for a full position.

Allan is a teenager. Very much a teenager. He is grouchy and antisocial, somewhat of a pain to be around. However, beneath it, he has his father's devotion to justice and a fierce loyalty to anybody he considers a friend that mingles closely with it. He can be rash in action, seeking to strike quickly and bring criminals to justice. This is double the case when innocents or his friends are in danger.
Allan enjoys training and fighting, but not all the time. When off the clock, he enjoys low-key activities like fishing and video games. He can be a lot easier to get along with when relaxed in this way than during missions, where he is usually serious.

Stinger- His primary feature. Allan's highly flexible and strong tail is tipped by a sharp needle. However, Stephan doesn't trust this structure while he doesn't know what it's for and keeps a locked cap over it.
Inhuman- Generally has many differences from a human physically. For the most part, this is just in having a tail and being exceptionally fast and agile for his age. An even more obvious physical trait is the light armoring on his body. It can block small caliber gunfire and knives, but it doesn't cover his whole body and can't handle much more than that.
Serpentine- Allan has a handful of snakelike traits. One that's immediately apparent is the pair of fangs in his jaws, containing a brutal hemotoxin causing agony and He is not allowed to use this in battle due to poor control over the dosage. One that can't be seen most of the time is his ability to turn his lower body into a serpentine shape. While this could be useful, he avoids using it because he doesn't know how to move while in this shape.
Tempestuous- Allan's most powerful ability. He can control the weather to an extent, but really controlling it is exhausting. For the most part it just gets a bit cloudy when he's around.
Allan has been training for over ten years, and as such is a skilled martial artist for his age.
