High in the forest, a young woman gasped for air, leaning on a tree and cursing the thin atmosphere this mountain exposed her to. Her friend skipped circles around the tree, seemingly unaffected by the lack of oxygen or climb up. "Huff... huff... dammit Becky..." Alexis panted. How did she get talked into taking Becky camping on this island? How did she still have another week here? Why wasn't she just on the beach? She was dressed for warm weather, knowing of the tropical reputation of the beaches, but her shorts and t-shirt weren't appropriate for the mountain. Somehow, Becky in a nearly identical ensemble seemed to have no issue, running around without so much as a shiver. Alexis was jealous of her resilience as she shivered.
Jun lay comfortably on her stomach in the spa, black rocks resting along her bare spine. She could stay here forever. No you couldn't. With your current financial resources, you could stay for roughly- "Hush." Jun grumbled at the demon within her skull, getting a confused look from the gangly siren standing on the back of another customer. "Sorry." She appologized and looked the other way, closing her eyes to avoid making eye contact with anybody else in the room. The siren went back to kneading the other customer's back and ignored Jun. Jun in turn tried to ignore that anybody else was here and her time was limited. She needed to just relax and enjoy what she could get.

A large splash resounded off one of the many docks of the beach, leaving behind disturbed water that bubbled just a few times before her white head reappeared instantly with a pleased gasp. The water was the perfect temperature!! "This is a first for me!" Eri exclaimed to on one in particular as she whipped her soaked braid over her shoulder, pulling down a pair of bulky goggles and placing the slim scuba tube's mouthpiece between her lips. Today was a special day for the popular idol! She'd taken this vacation to ease some of the stress she'd accumulated over multiple, long tours and daily shows; the warm beaches of the HW resort was just what she needed and today, she was going scuba diving! It was pretty sad, but even for an immortal like her, she'd never gotten to do such a thing in all her years! Taking one more deep inhale through the tube, Eri plunged just enough and cut through the water smoothly, as if she belonged within the waves.
Further away was a much more contained, but just as loud splash in the resort's personal pool. Fumi didn't much care for open ocean thanks to having watched far too many wildlife documentaries; she still shuddered at the thought of the long extinct Megalodon which was extinct...or was it! Fumi shot to the surface just as quickly as she had entered. Her large pink inner-tube forced her to float along the surface where the slightly less fluffy head of dark hair sighed out happily when she leaned forward, dangling her arms in the water, lounging carelessly. For once, she'd decided to go on a vacation and even paid for it out of pocket too!...not hers though.
In the same area beside the pool, Iris was scowling as she'd almost gotten soaked by whatever idiot decided to ruin serenity with the rudeness of their unannounced jumping. More like a carved statue, Iris was sitting rather stiffly in the safety of a lounge chair, her pale skin lathered to a practical sheen of sunscreen. She hadn't wanted to be here...if anything, she'd be back in her apartment working on more and more creations, but it came to her attention when she just couldn't complete anything that maybe she needed a break...and the sun was not very kind on her skin.
"Helllllloooo, darlings.~" Unannounced and lavish as always, the loudness of her voice broke through the relaxing silence of the spa when Amai entered, clothed in only a towel as she stretched her arms high above her head, a wide smile painted on her lips. It garnered a few...well, many, looks of irritation that didn't seem to phase her at all. Truthfully, anyone who dared to try and make eye contact with her were quickly skeeved out when she looked back, and by looking back she simply began shamelessly checking them out. Needless to say, the spa's members were slowly dwindling as they exited with just her presence alone. "I'm extremely stiff from the ride here, be a couple of dears and work me out?~" Her words had a sing-song atmosphere to them and much to the unfortunate positioning of Jun, Amai took the spa table right next to her with a graceful hop, disrobing herself as if it were nothing and flopping down, her head propped on her folded arms while she rocked her feet carelessly back and forth, smirking with dark satisfaction as the sirens looked at her with horror. Nobody wanted to do this job...touching her would be hell on earth.
While they argued among themselves about who would have the great dishonor of giving Amai the spa she demanded, she turned her head immediately to face Jun, purring out her words. "Since they're so busy, how about we get acquainted? You're quite the cute one.~"

Marceline tentatively tapped the ocean with her bare foot. She grumbled with satisfaction when it proved warm. She stepped into the wake, wiggling her toes in the shallow waves. As much as she had complained about Smith insisting she take a vacation here, it was nice to be here. The beach was glorious. The sun was bright, the water was warm, and she had even managed to get a nice outfit from Haruko. Her one piece pink swimsuit was covering and stylish with its dark red rose markings. Her broad sunhat was tilted low enough to block view of her oversized single eye and the white eyepatch over where she should have another.
She kept the hat on as she shuffled through the water until it was up to her waist. Haruko had managed to make it waterproof, a simple task for a seamstress of her caliber. She dove, wide eye taking in the reef not far off shore. She casually swam towards it. The wonders of being undead-she didn't need an air tank. She felt no need for air even after the several minutes it took her to reach the reef. Taking in the colors, she breathed out. What little air was in her lungs was lost in a stream of bubbles, and she sank gently to the bottom. She sat on the warm sand of the shallows and folded her legs. She had never tried anything like this. It was exciting watching colorful fish dart around her, although she could do without the manatee-like mermaids drifting lazily about staring at her. She tried to ignore them and laid down to stare up at passing fish and the swimmers who swam among them.
At a different body of water, Johnathan Chandler lounged on a beach chair, stretching luxuriously in the sun. Unlike the conservatively clad Marceline, he wore nothing more than a speedo, exposing as much of his body as he could to the sun... and the eyes of others. His own eyes wandered, looking for an interesting woman at the poolside. Of course, all people were interesting, but one in particular got his attention. She looked bored, and from the smell on sunscreen coming from her, she wasn't a fan of the sun. John slipped off his chair and a massive wing emerged, fuzzy and purple, from his back. He extended it over Iris' head, shielding her from the bright sunlight. "Hey, you looked like you needed some shade. Mind if I sit here and provide some?" He gave her his most dazzling grin.
The ungainly birds looked at Amai with annoyance. No strangers to mental manipulation, they could feel her influence from here. An older, more experienced siren hopped over to a table of tools and shoved gloves over her feet before fluttering over to grab Amai's dropped towel. She picked it up and folded it over Amai's bare behind before hopping up to begin massaging her back, avoiding any direct contact.
Jun's eyes widened when the naked woman called her cute. Even the towel getting placed over her didn't help. Jun was wearing just as much. "Um... I'm sorry, I don't have any interest in women." Jun wasn't the most experienced woman, but she could recognize a creeper. She could feel Amai's eyes all over herself and didn't like it. Why couldn't somebody decent want to sleep with her for once?

Iris had attempted to go lower key with her swimwear this time around, settling for a form-fitting one-piece whose straps stretched from the top of her chest and wound around her neck, its black color making her look all the more pale. Per all her usual attire she created, her symbols were etched into the straps around the nape of her neck; similarly to Haruko, Iris had made the garment waterproof. All in an attempt to be as comfortable as she could here in the warmth of the poolside...that was only graced by a freezing winter, finding its home in Iris's cutting gaze that sliced its way directly into Johnathan's when he interrupted her brooding; it could be felt even from behind the dark sunglasses she wore. Being a professional Seamstress meant she'd seen way more body bared than she'd ever wished to see before and thanks to such exposure, she seemed unaffected by Johnathan's rather airy way of presenting himself. "I don't care, sit where you please." She talked crisply and to the point, folding one of her long legs across the other while pushing her sunglasses back up over her eyes.
Amai let out a pleased, loud sigh as the birds took the plunge and sent one of their own to work on her back. She could feel the gloves initially and felt herself smile. "Smart birds.~" Of course they would know what she could do, being sirens themselves. Sisters in mindfucking, she mused on the thought with much more pride than one should have. Snapped from her thoughts as the woman next to her stated her preference, Amai's smile took on a more hungry tone as she pressed her cheek into her folded arms, her pink gaze glittering with amusement. "That's alright, I can make up that attraction for the both of us."
Eri's air was still decent, which gave her more time to explore the beautiful colors of the reef and sea-life. There were so many fish that she didn't even think possible, mostly because they probably weren't listed in the mortal's biology books. Eri took care as she swam around lackadaisically, occasionally bumping into a few schools of fish that she had to suppress the urge to squeal over when she got the opportunity to touch one or two of them. The biggest interest Eri had were in the strange mermaid creatures, but it seemed they were too deep for her to reach with this current air...so quickly, Eri made her way to the surface, breaking through and gasping to fill her lungs. She needed more than just this silly tube to do what she wanted!
When she reappeared in the ocean, the light glinted off the small tank on her back and she much more comfortably breathed this time, making her way to the bottom of the sea-bed where she saw the swimming figures that reminded her faintly of the Ningyos she had met in Japan, but among them was something else. It was just a girl, sitting at the bottom of the ocean floor! Worriedly, Eri approached her, the light from the waves above bouncing off the glittery suit she wore; it was a two piece, a bright blue one with white polka dots and a top that tied only at the front, its fabric one that was purposely shiny and slick to the touch. She floated right above the girl for a moment, preparing to try and ask the girl if she was alright, but when she looked closer the girl seemed perfectly fine!

Oh boy. John didn't appear to have gotten in the good graces of this woman. As beautiful as she was, he wasn't going to try if she wasn't interested. "Sorry to bother you, mam." He withdrew his wing and stepped back. He kept stepping until he was on the edge of the pool, then fell backwards. He splashed down flat on his back, regretting it for a moment as it stung his spine. The regret vanished when he noticed another woman floating on the surface of the pool on an inner tube. He wouldn't be so forward with her. She floated past her and waved. "Hey. Nice day, isn't it?" He asked Fumi. "Nice hair."
Jun uncomfortably shifted, taking her head off her arms to put them at her side, narrowing what little of her breasts Amai could see even further. She set her head down again facing Amai to keep an eye on her. "Please, just bother somebody else." She wasn't sure why Amai was picking her out out of everybody in the room. She found her clothing the most attractive thing about herself, and she wasn't wearing anything right now. She always felt bottom heavy, with wide hips and meaty legs compared to a relatively flat chest and slender torso.
Marceline gasped when a glittery thing suddenly cut across above her. She gurgled when she realized her mistake, water flooding her lungs. It wouldn't kill her, but it sure didn't feel nice to have lungs full of water. She looked back at the glittery thing, only to realize it was a human in a swimsuit. She threw an annoyed punch, knowing that it had no strength underwater. Marceline pulled her hat a little tighter to hide her eyepatch, leaving only an angry mouth visible to the glittery singer.

Fumi had dumbly dozed off when the loud splash shocked her from her nap. Sitting straight at attention, or as straight as she could while clutching to the squeaky sides of the tube, Fumi let out a small sound of question that was an attempt at resembling a "hm". Her drowsy eyes blinked once or twice before registering the male voice coming from her side where she turned, causing the tube to squeak again while she soundlessly yawned, nodding in agreement at the comment on the day before his compliment woke her up a bit more. No one had ever commented on her hair before, especially since it was always such a mess. She looked at the curly strands that stuck to her bare skin thanks to the water and found herself blushing slightly; this was probably the first time she'd been complimented outside of her job. Pressing her fingertips to her mouth, Fumi gestured forward, the sign language way to say "Thank you."
Eri looked a bit injured when the girl threw a punch at her, feeling slightly offended at such an angry display. She'd only been meaning to help...maybe she'd done more harm than good! The small fist left no impact and Eri only pressed one finger against the girl's knuckles, gently guiding it away while a haze of bubbles left her breathing apparatus. She furrowed her brow, trying to silently convey her confusion as to why the girl would do such a thing! The true thing Eri should have been questioning, if she wasn't so air-headed, was how this girl was even sitting so solidly on the shallow ocean floor while she was constantly fighting floating up.
"But why? You're right here and nobody else is as interesting. You have a smell about you, I can't quite put my finger on it..." She tapped her bottom lip that glittered with the shimmer of lipgloss, looking amused, yet thoughtful before giving a knowing smile as her eyes flashed brightly for just a moment. "Something inside of you reeks. It's familiar, almost makes me homesick.~" She giggled to herself, pleased in the discomfort she was giving to all in the room, lowering her voice to a sultry whisper as a faint vapor began to leak from her mouth. "So tell me...what's behind that pretty face? The HW is always full of surprises."

John smiled at Fumi's mute gestures. She was absolutely adorable. "Oh, ASL?" He responded, now signing as well. He knew his share of languages, American Sign Language among them.
Marceline flipped Eri off and waved her arms, trying to get to the surface and cough up all this water. She found her buoyancy ruined by the water in her lungs and frowned deeply. She jumped up and down at the bottom, kicking as hard as she could to no avail. Well, this was crap. She stomped back up the underwater sand dunes to find a sandbar to climb onto. She knew there was one around here.
Jun paled as she realized what Amai was talking about. The Shattered One within her... this woman could sense it. "I suppose it's common enough knowledge... I have a demon within me. It calls itself the Shattered One and-" She paused as if she was listening to a voice. "It wants you gone as much as me." She informed the nuisance.

Fumi seemed to perk up further as the stranger not only complimented her, but also knew sign language! She leaned forward in her tube to better face him and free up some arm space, sinking further into the water as a result while she held out her free arms to sign back to him. "I'm surprised you speak it!" Fumi seemed to practically radiate excitement at the idea of actually holding a conversation with someone.
Rude!! Eri felt herself become offended by such harsh treatment, not something she was accustomed to by any means. The ditsy idol puffed her cheeks up in aggravation, blowing it out only to realize her mistake immediately; the mouthpiece of her scuba gear floated out of her mouth and she covered her mouth immediately, suppressing the urge to violently squeal at her dimwitted actions. Hastily, Eri swam past the rude little sea-floor child and made her way back to the surface to gasp fresh air into her contracting lungs. "What a..." Eri grumbled to herself, only to sigh in defeat as her anger fizzled out as quickly as it'd appeared. It just wasn't like her to be mad, especially since that kid was still at the bottom of the sea, clearly struggling to get back up....Steeling herself, Eri rolled her bright blue eyes and replaced the mouthpiece she'd earlier spat out, making her way back down to float beside the girl who tenaciously tried to climb up the soft sand dunes, wondering how she could try and improve this wet situation.
"A demon that wants me gone, ooooooh.~" Amai mockingly spoke, closing her eyes in pleasure as the siren hit all the right spots along her lower back. Working out her new vessel was certainly something she could be thankful for. "Regardless of what does or doesn't want me gone, I stay where I please." Amai opened her eyes to bare slits, satisfaction on her smug expression. "And whether that place is underneath or on your skin, I'll stay until I'm done getting this lovely massage." She flicked her tongue out along her lips for emphasis, delighting herself far too much in bothering those who didn't want her attention. Which reminded her... "Lovely work darling, absolutely lovely. Maybe if you keep up the good work, I'll take you out for dinner." She guided her words even to the siren who was unfortunate enough to be within close proximity of her.

In the pool near Fumi and Johnathan yet not aware of them, Arthur was teaching his 2-year old daughter, Hazel, how to swim. Even though she was only two chronologically, her biology was that of an 8-year old. The nature of her creation made her grow at four times the speed of a normal person. Furthermore, the experiences of her "mother" helped her cognitive and physical abilities develop almost instinctively, without much need for tutelage (a necessary phenomenon to be sure as she had less time then normal kids to develop those abilities, albeit a worrying one for Arthur due to her "mother"'s past). Sadly, it seems her "mother" didn't have any experience with swimming at this age yet so Haze had to be though to swim from square one. After months of swimming in an enclosed pool, this place presented itself as a perfect change of scenery.
The young girl wore a black one piece swimsuit and a pair of swimmies, although Arthur was thinking that it was probably time to remove at least one of the inflatable aids since little Haze seems to have already grasped the technique behind swimming.
Arthur himself was wearing just speedos. Thanks to some alchemists he knows, he was able to obtain sunscreen made specifically to let ice-users weak to heat like him enjoy warm days on the beach. That is the probably the most useful product he bought.
On the beach, Loveline was feeling frustrated. Her frustration wasn't visible on her face though. She had to keep her composure while she shook her opponents' hands. She also shook her partner's hand with a smile. But inside, she was burning up. Playing volleyball against superhumans who couldn't control their super stats sure was tough. She already lost 5 matches in a row by this point. All her skill didn't amount to much if she wasn't able to use all her assets. But everyone agrees illusions are definitely cheating. Maybe she just needs to find a stronger partner. Yes, that's it! Her frustration suddenly turned into determination. Good thing, too. Arthur let her come to the beach alone while he stayed at the pool with Hazel, so it would be a shame if she spent her freedom feeling angry for such a silly reason.

John was encouraged by the smile, giving broader gestures in response. "I learned it in high school. It lets me talk to Americans without my outrageous French accent showing." He hoped she was an American, or that would fall really flat.
Marceline slid down the soft sand she was attempting to scramble up. It was no good. With her lungs full of water, she couldn't make the steep slope up to the sandbar. She'd have to trudge back to shore... She looked up at Eri and tilted her head. She hated to do it, but she could use the help. Marceline pointed at the sandbar and waved at Eri, hopefully getting the message across.
Jun sighed and moved her head to turn away. "Do you have anything to do besides annoy people who aren't interested?" The siren on Amai's back similarly rolled her eyes. She had serviced a great many customers that flirted with her over the years. Ugly ground dwellers with no feathers had never been her thing, whatever the gender, and repetition didn't help their case.
Not far from Loveline, a bright red girl hissed in pain. Oh, the sun? Why did the sun hate her? Martha was so excited when Jane snuck her kaspa opening onto this resort, but she hadn't been introduced to sunscreen yet at that point. Every inch of her front besides what was under her undershirt and swim trunks was cooked, and now she paid the price. Regardless, she bolted around, searching out activity. She was interested in volleyball, but Ash wasn't around, so she didn't have a partner.

Looking around, Loveline noticed someone skulking around the volleyball field. That person clearly never heard of sunscreen, but their body seemed very muscular. A potential partner that could finally take Love to victory! "Hey! Hey, you!" She ran after the person. As she got closer, she could see the person better and better until she finally realized who it was. "Martha? Hey, Martha! Long time no see! Wanna play volleyball with me?"

"Outrageous French accent? I've never been to France! What's it like there?" He was right on the money with assuming she was American. Despite her having as much money as she really could want or handle, Fumi had never traveled outside of her country before...then again, she'd never been hired to anyways. "All I know is what I see when I watch TV." She huffed slightly, now seriously considering a whole new vacation after this one.
Eri seemed to tauntingly think, remember how poorly the small girl had just treated her. Tapping the apparatus against her mouth, she looked upwards and hummed internally, at least getting her small bit of satisfaction out of this before feeling guilty and making her way in front of Marceline with her back to the sandbar, holding out her hands as she waited for the water-logged girl to take them.
"Hmm...not for a couple of hours. The love of my life let me take a vacation, or as I call it "I don't want you around bothering me" time. So until I'm done here and go back, I don't have much work to do.~" Smiling like a satiated feline, Amai unfolded one arm from beneath her and held out her hand with its typical manicured nails gleaming with a bright red. "Perhaps I got off on the wrong foot, my name's Amai, I believe handshaking is what humans like to do for greeting, right?~"

"Not as diverse as America, but it's still a big country. There's some old parts of the country with castles and everything, and the modern city parts that are as crowded as anywhere on your side of the pond." He explained. He had left his phone in his room, or he'd pull up some pictures of his favorite places.
Marceline soundlessly yelled at Eri when she procrastinated, only stopping when she was finally lifted. She kicked her legs to help Eri swim her up to the sandbar.
Jun glared at Amai's extended hand. From the way the siren put on gloves, she guessed touching this woman wasn't the best idea. "Jun Lee." She gave the least amount of information she could. Her hand coated itself in glassy scales before taking Amai's hand. The scales were cold to the touch and slightly sharp on the edges.
Martha smiled when she saw Loveline. "Love! Hey kid!" She pulled the girl into a hug, then yelped. "Crap! Stupid sunburn!" She brushed off her stomach, but smiled again at the offer. "I would love to play volleyball!"

"Great! But first we need to fix you up. Just don't flinch for a second." Loveline reached out and touched Martha's skin with her finger. Using her biological manipulation, she fixed the doll's skin. "Now we need to make sure this doesn't happen again!" Love rushed over to a pile of bags near the court and after a bit of rummaging, she found her own. More rummaging, this time through her bag, and she found some sunscreen. "Catch!" She threw it to Martha.

Castles? Crowded city streets? Fumi almost drooled at the treasures that would lie there. Old hidden treasure and unknowing, walking, distracted pedestrians? Definitely on her bucket list!! Seeming sated with the answer, Fumi fell back into her tube to rest her head, sighing happily as the warm day's rays hit her skin; she should really go out more, it was nice to sunbathe. Seemingly startled from her momentary tranquility, she sat up again and began signing to the stranger once more. "I never introduced myself properly by the way. My name's Fumi."
Seemingly proud at breaking the tenacious girl's stubbornness, Eri helped pull her water-logged form up to the tip of the sandbar, struggling just as much as her strength wasn't that great. Yet they broke their stride with a stop at the end and Eri stood against the soft sand with a pleased expression along her face, hidden by goggles and mouthpiece.
Amai's eyes narrowed just the slightest bit as the smart woman picked up on her touch, but they quickly returned to their previous state and she purred her words slightly. "Jun Lee, what a pretty name." The chill of the glassy hand was delightful to say the least and she gingerly pulled her fingers away, only to purposely nick herself at the end. Bringing the injured digit to her mouth, Amai's glossy lips pressed onto the nicked flesh, the tip of her tongue a dark red as she lapped at the crimson cut briefly. "It suits you.~ My name's Amai."

"Pleased to meet you, Fumi. I'm John." John signed, then offered a hand to shake.
Marceline coughed up what felt like too much water to possibly fit in her lungs. "Gah! Idiot! You startled me down there!" She stopped ranting to hack up even more water. When she looked up to glare, she realized her eyepatch was showing and pulled her hat back down.
Jun glared at the blood on her hand, rubbing it off on her towel. She didn't want anything from Amai on her body. "Pleased to meet you, Amai." Her deeply rooted politeness kicked in. And she might as well talk to her. It was better than awkward silence. Amai was not ruining her spa.
Martha made small noises of wonder when her skin returned to marble white and stopped burning. "Loveline, you're awesome!" She hugged the child again. "But nah, I already have sunscreen on! I just forgot the first day I was here." She put her arms behind her head and made a quizzical face. "So, was there actually anybody to play against?" She asked Loveline, not having seen anybody herself.

"Finding someone to play with shouldn't be too hard. Hm... Ah, that kid again!" Loveline pointed at a green-skinned humanoid creature nearby. "He said he'd play against me if I found a partner, but by the time I found one, he disappeared! Let's go get him, Martha!"

"Woah, he has a tail!" Martha remarked. Something about that felt just weird to her. She couldn't place a word on it, but she guessed it didn't matter. She picked Love off the ground and ran across the beach to stop right in front of him. "Hey! Play volleyball with us!" Allan, in purple swim trunks, was making no attempt to hide his true nature. It was nice to not have to. His hood slightly flared when he saw that the annoying kid from before was bugging him again. "Can't. I don't have a partner." He purposefully kept his eyes off of Martha. Why was that boy wearing a bikini top?

"Relaxing on the beach with a bucket full of ice and beer is the best" said Chase to himself as he removes a bottle cap with his thumb. Currently he is taking a break from training and wearing nothing but a bright orange swimming trunks as he lays down on a plain white beach chair. A few gleeful kids rush past him as they hurry to get into the ocean. "Though I could do without all these people-" Surrounding him are numerous numbers of hidden world folk enjoying the beach to the fullest. Still, even with all these people, there was only one person he wished wasn't here, "-Especially you Aine." he complained. A tall, beautiful and muscular red hair woman, wearing a simple green bikini, responses from the chair next to his, "If I ain't here to watch your lazy drunk ass, you might end up living here." she said in a cold demeanor as she swiftly chugs her own beer down. As she finishes she frowns and remarks, "This beverage is as weak as you Chase."
